Hey! If by "sport thing," you mean scorinator - Xkoranate does have an Auto Racing option, with Qualifying and Race options.

Signup threads should have the word signups, or open, somwhere in the title.

Just scan the first few pages of the forum to see if there's something active you'd like to sign up for. I would recommend reading not only the first post (which usually explains the event, its format, and the number of participants already signed up) but also the last page, to make sure sign-ups aren't closed. As with everything on NS, don't gravedig; some sign-up threads from inexperienced users don't actually result in an event taking place.Yayness wrote:Ok, but how do I get to a sign up thread?

Nation not my RL views, etc.
Poe's Law. Nonpartisan.

We also assume the nations exist in "the real world" using an alternate history. Is that an issue that we may mention real world events and historical facts?

I get that the more likely I post results, the more likely I should start my own thread, but I had a couple questions about some other pros and cons. Which is more likely to get read--someone's personal newswire, or a post in a well-established thread for the community that might get swamped in other posts very shortly? Is it mostly nations already well-established in the community that have their own threads? So would one start in the domestic football newswire thread and only start their own when they feel experienced enough?

No. Emphatically, no. You are 100% free to start a personal newswire whenever you like - no seniority is required. In fact, I personally recommend it strongly over simply posting directly to the IDSN thread. You have more freedom to post as frequently or infrequently as you like, and other players will then have the opportunity to bookmark you and follow your league directly if they like what you're doing. You'll have a better chance to work on a personal roleplay style, as well, something which will serve you very well as you participate in other parts of NS Sports.
I literally can't, off the top of my head, think of a single substantive reason to hesitate starting your own newswire. Go right ahead.
