If you don't know how to do it yourself, it's probably a bad idea for you to do it in the first place. Try reading the stickies, and participating, before you try to launch something.

Lymantatia, I recommend you download xkoranate if you don't already have it, and run some fake korfball tournaments until you get the hang of it. I suspect you'll know when you're ready; don't be afraid to delay it indefinitely. Make sure you have read the winning (and some losing) bids of recent tournaments to get a feel for where the established community stands on issues they have faced before. Also take note of what hosts do throughout the tournament and how different members of the community react. However, don't hesitate to include the best ideas of younger nations which have run tournaments. If you have any other questions, please feel free to TG me at International Gridiron Champions League, my puppet for a club competition. (My TG box is pretty full, IGCL's is pretty empty.) Good luck!

For anyone who's in the know, does anyone how the Men's Madison work? Is it a knock out competition, or a time-trial event?

Cheers.

So it's just a straight race. No knockouts or different rounds.

Do I have to have my own scorinator to do NS Sports? Like, not making threads, just joining. If not, does anyone have a good tournament for newbies? Thanks.

Nope. But it's pivotal for hosting a competition. and a great competition for beginners is the Baptism of Fire, which can be signed up for in the World Cup Sign Up thread.

Swamp Soccer will probably be under way soon, and it's still open for signups.

Can you give me a link?

Is it ok if I host a 100m world cup? Running, obviously.

I DO know how to scorinate something like this, if you're going to ask.

You're free to host anything you want. Whether you'll get the entrants/signups you want is another matter altogether.

I know, I know. I thought that maybe someone already had this planned, or there was already a competition for that.

I have got two questions:
1. How many goals were scored at Baptism of Fire 48? I need to know because I am creating an article for BoF 48 on NSWiki.
2. How do I get into the World Cup Commitee?
I have left NS.

1. Count 'em up, it's the only way.

2. Posting a roster and an RP in two consecutive World Cup qualifying cycles, I believe.

Roster in the two most recently completed World Cups, and you have to post a roster in every World Cup after that to stay in.

Thank you, Saugeais and Eastfield Lodge. Getting into the WCC sounds quite easy - just post a roster for two World Cups in a row. I've already posted one roster - for the ongoing World Cup - and, as I'm a very active RP'er, you can guarantee that I'll post a roster for the next WC.

Saugeais, you also mentioned posting an RP in two consecutive World Cup cycles. I RP'ed all of my matches in qualifying and the Cup of Harmony, so you can also guarantee that I'll post an RP for the next WC.

Once again, thanks!
I have left NS.

Roleplaying is irrelevant as far as WCC membership is concerned:
Constitution of the World Cup Committee wrote:i) Posting a valid, timely roster or squad list in each of the most recent two completed World Cup's official Roster threads grants membership of the WCC. This must then be renewed each Cup to maintain membership.

Anyway, you should be able to vote for the hosts of World Cup 62 and Cup of Harmony 54.

Are there any tournaments I could enter? Don't give me any handegg tournaments, because, like our puppetmasters Slembana, we do not play handegg.

Also, don't jump on me.
