Hi there, just a quick question: how long after the end of the BoF does it take (on average) for the rankings to be updated? I'm quite keen to get some friendlies in with my (very low) ranking, preferably before the start of the world cup qualifiers, or if that's not feasible, mid qualifying friendly.

The World Cup hosts need updated ranks for the purposes of seeding the qualifying group draw, so it's usually pretty sharpish. Could be within a matter of hours after the final, but will definitely be done by the group draw. That of course doesn't stop you from arranging any friendlies now and then scorinating them once you know your rank.

EDIT: Also on a different note, in xkorinate what's the difference between the NSFS, SQIS and Footba11er formulas in the Association Football section. Does it really matter which one you use etc.

Yes, it does matter, as each one is a different formula, taking into account rank, RP and randomness in different ways. The pros and cons of each have been weighed before, but there is no consensus as to which is "better".

I believe xkoranate - or SQIS at least - scales down to the highest rank a participant actually has, regardless of what is input in the maximum rank section.

Maximum skill is irrelevant in SQIS, since it operates based on the ratio of the teams’ skills. The “relative” RP bonus formula in xkoranate sometimes scales down the maximum RP-modified skill to the highest that a participant actually has, but not without regard to the nominal maximum skill; it’s more complicated than that.

Ive Clarified the rules now, is it alright?

1. We will use the Group A ruleset, In Short, Should you choose to build your own car, Build 2500 units of the competing model, out of 25000 of the entire range (e.g.: 2500 Subaru Impreza WRX, out of 25,000 Subaru Impreza)
2. There are no limits on competitor size
3. Skill is worked out with the cars horsepower
4. Again, you can take a car from the above list, or enter your own (See 1)
5. in case of a lack of entries, we will throw in some RL competitors
6. the series will be scorinated with xkorinate
7. Due to being set in the cold war, no commies
8. 2 Drivers per car
9. max season length 14 rounds
10. No make mixing (the art of having a car from one make, and the other from another)
11. No Sports Cars, they belong in Group B (or Group C if its a prototype), Or SUV's (too unusual)
