Esportiva is a tertiary sporting region. I guess it's the best choice if you don't want Rushmore or AO.

For all intents and purposes it is the thread of record on this topic. Carmadin posted in it in December, and no action was taken. It's unlikely that any thread that is an "Official Newswire" would ever be locked for a gravedig in NS Sport.

General precedent for NS Sports seems to be that threads get locked for spamming or irrelevance, but rarely for gravedigging. When it does happen, it's typically because somebody's doing something outstandingly dumb, like trying to post a roster in a tournament that ended last year, or something.

Worst case scenario, Arch will lock the thread but refer you to the correct one (though AFAIK you're looking at the right one).

Confirmed.

It would be highly unlikely that I'd lock an attempted reactivation of an official newswire thread (or OOC event discussion thread) unless that attempted reactivation consisted solely of spam, or perhaps if another thread had taken over as the de facto recognised newswire in the interim.

I'm sorry, I have a feeling this has been covered, but I searched the thread for any relevant terms I could think of and failed to find it.

Is there still a list of NS national sports abbreviations? I haven't relearned the ones that were around in my last stint nor learned the new sporting nations of the last few years, and following the international club tournaments gets really confusing.

A list of association codes is included in the first post of every season's Champions' Cup, this is the latest.

A pre-WC-qualifying national football team competition, that I ~~completely dominated~~ finished second last time. (Assuming last time was Market Cup V.)

Though understandably a more of a sports roleplaying community, I find that most sports events and even teams on these forums lack something major that's in every RL event/team. A corporate sponsor of somesort. You see it with the almost every major sporting event, the commercials, the ads and when it comes to teams you see the corporate logo plastered right on the players' shirts.

So this is my question, what's the official status of corporate advertising when coming to NS Sports?

If you look at previews for domestic association football leagues such as this thread, you willl see that shirt sponsors are pretty widely used.
