It would be possible to write a web-based scorinator but you probably wouldn't want to because you'd have to spend money on web hosting and, if you wanted users to be able to save data, you'd have to implement all kinds of other features such as accounts and a database.

Realistically though, there's no reason to do that just to avoid downloading a scorinator. There are some web-based scorinators (and any spreadsheet scorinator can be uploaded to Google Docs, making it web-based) but using them to host anything generally means extra work compared to using xkoranate or NSFS.

Has there ever been an NS Sports version of Iron Chef? I love cooking and I think it would be fun to RP, but I am still learning my way around. If I start my own version, does anyone have suggestions about scorinating it?

This doesn't seem something that would fit here, even if it could be scorinated (any default scorinator to give a 3-2, 4-1 or 5-0 judges' score would do), to my mind. I would certainly suggest running it as an RP in the NationStates subforum without the scorination aspect. Think along the lines of WorldVision - how about having other nations be judges?

I like that idea that other nation can be judges for, let's say songs (WorldVision is a song contest (The 64th edition is open any new blood btw) ). In WSC, nations roleplay as they are taking part in a Eurovision Song Contest for Nationstates. We judge on the quality of the song. How good they are. How crappy the language is. It's a bit different from sport-rp`ing as they make songs, instead of making RP for an event that you may end up last place on.

I think you have to make that decision based on what's best for you personally. I think you need to have some interaction with different nations to get an idea which ones are supportive, have strong and consistent RPer's (if that's what you're looking for) and how much extraneous BS you might have to put up with.

The next WC will open before ya know it (think summertime). By then, you could even enter the junior competition, the Baptism of Fire, and earn some KPB going into the qualifiers.

In the meantime, why not check out other tournaments in NS Sports? It’s a great way to know the community and even earn some experience

That would be the World Bowl, which should be opening signups for its 35th edition in the near future.

Kabbadi championships have been done (I might have run an invitational). It's not supremely hard for anyone who already knows how to post league results on time, honestly. Most people don't RP, but you can encourage people to do it and you'll get a couple to score. If scoring RPs is intimidating and you don't have literature/film/criticism/communications etc kind of experience, don't worry! As host, it'll be really obvious who's putting in the most effort. Just score the highest effort posts the highest, with a maximum that keeps them from blowing away the competition and getting disinterested (a mistake I made in club gridiron).

EDIT: While I'm here, I actually opened this thread in the faint hope that someone had recently mentioned a new way to make baseball kits, or linked to the wiki we use now - so if anyone has tips better than 'painstakingly try out uniform codes in a Wikipedia sandbox', I'd certainly be grateful!

Well, the best way to get in is to sign up for a tournament. Unfortunately, the biggest event here, the World Cup, is already closed and about to start.

The World Baseball Classic and World Bowl (American Football) are due to open signups soon. So if that's your cup of tea, keep on the lookout for those. Otherwise, you'll just have to wait it out for the World Cup to end.

A little bit of punctuation would really help break up the information so it can be read more easily. The colours and scoring circles don't make all that much sense to me at this point, or how that would have developed from street play.

Maybe also add a list of your Sector's teams, who the most successful ones are and maybe the most famous players.

What is this a software or what ?

Not entirely sure what that questions relates to - if you're talking about Scorinators, then yes they are software made by members of the community to generate the results of matches.
