Wait a sec, you know the sports files on xkorinate? Is it possible to create a copy of a discipline and then edit something in that file to create a new discipline (At the minute I have a copy of softball open)?

Absolutely! I've done that very thing (modified the indoor volleyball scorinator several different ways) and it has worked well. Just be sure to test any new file inside and out to make sure it works as intended, as well as predictably and reliably.

Damn, I was happily editing away when I realised I was editing it for the wrong sport (I got confused between British Baseball and ROunders :palm: ) anyone have any idea how to get half-scores on it?

(Note: just a suggestion)
Try modifying it to get twice as high a score as you'd expect, then tell the file to halve it.

Could someone tell me what type of racing the Auto racing function in xkoranate is meant to scorinate?

Touring? NASCAR? Open-wheel?

Open-wheel. The autoracing files are based off the WGPC scorinator.

Ok seeings as mucking around with xkorinate to get halves seemed too difficult I've created a simple yet elegant scorinator for rounders, feedback is welcomed.

Thanks for the work, Birolika :) I know nothing about rounders other than the idea that baseball was supposedly derived from it - and I'd be interested in RPing it someday. So, I'll refrain from commenting otherwise, except to hopefully provide some gratification for your work.

Having been at a co-ed school, I know enough about Rounders. However, I'm having trouble with Cookies, I presume it's my computer though.

Apparently it was the other way round (but us Brits aren't likely to ever suggest it) and as far as it goes it's basically baseball except it is two innings long instead of 9 and you only get 0.5 if you don't get a home run (a rounder). Also there are no strike-outs or balls and you run to first post regardless of whether you hit the ball or not. Also they have posts not bases. Otherwise it is the same game.
Also batters that are out can't return to bat again that innings, and they don't swap sides until all the batters are out or stranded on bases (as opposed to 3).

A pretty general question: how do you actually operate Miscellanator?

Does anyone know if any of the scorinators can do a beer festival? I'm looking to set one up soon with different NS breweries participating and I will need some impartial judging. Thanks.
TG me with questions if you got some, especially about GE&T or PMCs.

No such scorinator for that is in existence. I don't know exactly what events are in a beer festival and how they are judged; does it fall along the same scoring as a gymnastics routine - x out of 10?

You read my mind, I'm looking at the Gymnastics, skating and other skill judging competitions in xkoranate to see if I can tailor some categories to fit.

Usually its judging categories - so teams = brewers, participants = beer, ale, mead, stout, etc.

How much does the maximum skill field affect scorination?

Say if I scorinated a match between Alpha Team (skill mod = 1) and Beta Team (skill mod = 0.25). Would there be a discernable difference in the outcomes if the maximum skill modifier was 1 or 20?

Can be. Depends on the scorinator, but in NSFS (and NSFS formula on xkorinate) then the further both scores are from the maximum, the more chance there is of there being an upset.

At least, as far as I understand it.

Thanks.

After posting I did think that's there's more than one scorinator and probably should have clarified which I use. But seeing as I generally use the NSFS formula on xkoranate it's all good.

What is the maximum set to for World Cup games out of curiosity?

The highest ranked KPB (i.e. THE's KPB at the moment) plus the total RP bonus that can be added I believe.

Cheers Farf.

However, what would I write? For example, if a team's KPB was 12.64, and their RP Bonus was 2.5, would I write "12.64 + 2.5"?
