xkoranate is nothing more than a fancy random numbers generator. Although the athlete with 100 skill points should theoreticaly should win, Margaret will sometimes throw a curve ball and suprise you. If you do a multiple-run competition instead of just a single "mass start" one, you'll see that the athlete with 100 skill points will eventually be in first and stay in first.Prusai wrote:Hi! I use xkoranate for my Prusai Athletics Champs.
First, I made some experiment: 100m Men, one guy with 1 skill point, the second with 20, the third with 100. And you know what? They all had really similar results. Do I do something wrong? I would like to build an interesting Role Play (National Eliminations for Olympics, National Records) but it's pointless if xkoranate doesn't care about my orders. Surely, I understand that results may vary, that the good guy could have a crappy day and the poor guy had a great day, but even if it occured, the guy with 100 pts should have won with 20 pts and 1 pts.
Any advice?
BTW: sorry for my English.

Thanks. Do you or anyone else have experience with what variances work best for different types of course or lap times?

For the first one, no, at least not yet. For the second one, I don't think so, but I've never tried.Kinitaria wrote:In xkoranate:
Is there any way of including style mods in semicolon-delineated files?
Also, is there any way of specifiying that teams are in divisions or groups from within semicolon-delineated files, rather than using the xkoranate interface?

Bongo Johnson wrote:Carmadin, that was insanely helpful. I didn't know you had to click the Event tab and then add a new event; I was just clicking the Event category itself and trying to mess with the settings on the right. I'll try scorinating a few fake events just to get the hang of it and then I'll try organizing my own event. Thanks a bunch.

I haven't tried scorinating American Football with xkoranate, however I gave a test run a go.Bongo Johnson wrote:This is an American Football scorination. For some reason, I go to scorinate Matchday 3, and every match is played by the same two teams with the same exact score. Did I do something wrong? I didn't assign skill levels to any of the teams, if that matters.
