KICKOFF! EDSMONTIK BEGINS FOOTBALL LEAGUE

With the recent beginning of the FDVL, fans around the country are excited.
The FDVL features 6 teams, which according to board president Vikcsent der-Pjaan, "will compete against each other 3 times before the winner is decided"
As explained by him each team plays every other team three times.
Using a leaderboard, the winner will be decided.
Not only this, Edsmontik's investments into sports also means that the show you are watching now, will broadcast these games.
Games will happen each day, with 3 games happening in a day.
Each at a different time. For each day, there's a game at 9:00AM, one at 12:00PM, and one at 3:00PM.
As for the stadiums, there are only three of them, but Viiad Royfjad, our nation's president, plans to add more in future years.
The Touve Sußerarenæ is the largest, seating up to 21,000.
Meanwhile, both the Woodhill Arenæ and the Northeviige Stadtumn seat up to 19,500.
With this new Football League, who knows what the future is for Edsmon sports?
Clearly though, it's bright!

HARSH TREATMENT FROM FANS- WAS IT JUSTIFIED?

Following the new fact that every team has at the bare minimum one point, except for one team, has some fans in Straver angry.
Emprijaal is a city in Straver, and is the third largest in all of Edsmontik.
With Emprijaal's two losses, comes lots of disappointment.
Right after the harsh match against rivals Austranviige Ckinq, where Emprijaal lost 3-2, the security reported a massive angry mob rushing down.
The mob was no other than a bunch of angry Emprijaal fans, who had attempted to attack the player for losing the match.
To make it worse, it was a last-minute goal that shut the door for Emprijaal.
People crammed up the field, and the stadium lit up with firecrackers, flares, and whatever the crowd was sending.
In our personal opinions, that was not justified.
Sure, Emprijaal lost. But in no way did the fans have to throw firecrackers, shoot flares, barge onto the field, collapse a random sign and trample three security guards.
We had an interview with one of the players.
This is Vykren der-Tylvan, a star 19-year-old striker who's on the national team as well as the starting XI for Emprijaal.
He stated: "Of all the thing I'd think our fans would do, this was the last thing that I would believe. In no way was this safe, but it was only disrupting and dangerous. I send my prayers to the three guards who are in the hospital as of now. It's very disappointing to see your own fans turn against you simply for a loss."
What comes next for Edsmontik's fanbase? Will they become less aggressive, or more?
Find out for on Ictben News.

AN AT HOME LOSS TO STIVIRA

Edsmontik's recently scheduled friendly against neighbors Stivira has gone pretty wrong.
Playing at Woodhill Arenæ, the loss was not an expected one, knowing that most players knew the stadium.
However, after a goal from Stivirian striker Josen Kallenonse and an own goal (accidentally) by Talrik Dom-Mylrik of Emprijaal, Edsmon fans reacted quite badly.
At first, the blame was centered at the goalkeeper, Kalven Vylrik of Reichan, but once those people were corrected, being told that Vylrik had made countless saves through the match, they went on to blame der-Tyvor, der-Grylor, and der-Tylvan, the 3 forwards.
However, once again, they were corrected.
All three were in the top 5 highest match ratings according to edsmonmatchratings.net.
Fans then targeted the defense, where the blame lay forever.
And it was true, the Edsmon defense had the lowest match ratings of the entire squad.
The blame especially fell onto Dom-Mylrik, the own-goalscorer.
Even if the own goal was early in the 63rd minute, the Edsmon team was still unable to gather any goals for the entire game.
Will Edsmontik recover and boost it's football?
We'll just have to find out.

REICHAN TAKES THE LEAD: WHAT FANS THINK

Previous lead holder Vaux Rejhaflik fell out to second after Reichan beat them 3-2 in the 3:00 game.
Many fans are excited, saying that the title race will be very entertaining.
Before interviews, let us check out some of the key game moments.
The game started strong for Vaux, as they won the coin toss and went on to attack.
However, pro-goalkeeper Kalven Vylrik was able to stop multiple shots.
Eventually, Saz-Kyrvan managed to score a powerful shot, which hit the crossbar and went into the goal, putting Vaux in the lead.
Following this, Reichan attempted to equalize, and fired back a few attacks.
Not only did they score once, but they scored twice, with der-Grylor and Josten in midfield.
Vaux retaliated after halftime, landing one goal to equalize with Saz-Kyrvan for his brace.
But in the 79th minute, Reichan landed a final blow, having Vylvenk score off of a corner kick.
We asked two fans what they thought.
Reporter: "What is your reaction to the win against Vaux?"
Fan 1: "It was crazy, and I loved it. I wasn't able to afford tickets, so I watched it at home. But you can trust me, I screamed in happiness."
Fan 2: "Very exciting, I laughed and cheered on the Reichan players with my family. It was fun to watch and I enjoyed it very much."
Reporter: "Do you think Reichan will stay at the top?"
Fan 1: "I hope they will, but most likely not. There are many good teams, and if they keep it up, then maybe they can stay."
Fan 2: "They have the oppertunity to run for the title, I'm sure they will. There are only 15 matches, and as of now 13 left. If they hold on, then yes."
And that's it for today.
Will Reichan stay at the top?
Is Edsmontik going to adapt even more into sports?
We'll find out sometime!

FAN FAVORITES ARE CATCHING UP- WHAT'S NEXT FOR REICHAN?

Not too long ago at 12 Noon, we've seen Reichan suffer a 2-1 loss to fan favorites Austranviige Ckinq.
With the one bit of goal difference that actually separates the teams, people are unsure about how much longer Reichan will hold this lead.
Many say Reichan will fall out to 2nd or even 3rd, but some are confident Reichan will hold their lead.
According to edsmonmatchratings.net and edsmonfdvlstats.net, Reichan's highest rated player was Varlen Saz-Kytren, the only goal for Reichan.
He had a 7.3 match rating.
What's crazy is that, only two of the 11 players plus 4 substitutes on Austranviige had a lower rating than Saz-Kytren.
What's also different, is that Reichan actually ISN'T dominating possession this game.
They only had 32% possession overall.
So, what's next for Reichan? No one knows.
Clearly, they need to get themselves together if they want to keep themselves at the top of the table.

EMPRIJAAL SHOOTS TO 2ND, SURPRISING EVERYONE

In the 12:00 game today, we saw Reichan get smashed by Emprijaal 3-0.
Reichan fans were in a rage, wondering what happened to the quality of the team.
Since when do you lose to the team at the dead bottom of the table?
Almost never.
Goalkeeper Vylrik of Reichan was bombarded by hate, with people booing his performance after one of the goals was literally a fumbled save.
Emprijaal fans were stumped, not actually expecting Emprijaal to beat the first placer.
In addition to this, their win two days ago against Lersterviige had boosted the mood.
Now, this game boosted them even more.
"We hope to rise and win the title." says Ghent Verstoyben, a Emprijaal fan. "I mean, if we can go from last to second, what else can we do?"
And it's about the same for everyone else, it's only talk about the 3-0 win in Emprijaal's city center today.
And they can thank der-Tylvan, Saz-Gryten, and Vystek for that.
Meanwhile, it's all moping in Reichan today.
Well, thanks for listening in on today's report about the FDVL.
What happens next? We just have to find out.

NYSTROL AND DER-TYLVAN SLAM GOALS INTO WEDICH'S NET WITHOUT REPLY

At a Wedichian Stadium, Edsmontik grabed two goals against the national team.
It was as if, they got punched by Stivira, and then punched Wedich.
The game overall was not very exciting according to fans though.
It was mainly passing around, possession dominating, and the Edsmons really just stayed back until they felt like it.
der-Tylvan, the 19-year-old striker, scored from long range after receiving a pass from Dom-Jorstik.
The ball tucked itself into the corner, but then, the Wedichian goalkeeper didn't really try to stop it.
Nystrol, the defensive midfielder, scored a header off a corner kick taken by Grysnor.
The Wedichian's didn't seem to care too much, as eventually they only had one shot on net.
That shot was a slow shot into the corner, which was saved by Vylrik.
So, the entire game was basically given to Edsmontik, and no one cared.
Will football for Edsmontik get more exciting?
We'll just have to find out.

"DAMMIT!" SHOUT AUSTRANVIIGE FANS AS THEY FAIL TO BEAT WOODHILL

If anyone has realized, Vaux Rejhaflik has fallen from first to last over the last 6 games.
The season is now nearing halfway over, and fans are excited to see who may lift the big and beautiful trophy.
But besides that, we have new matters.
Austranviige has fallen from first to fourth, stealing Reichan's bad luck as they lose to Woodhill.
The new taker of the crown is no other than famously famous for their comeback, Emprijaal.
From last to first, that story is wild.
As for Austranviige, their fans are shouting "DAMMIT!" all day, every day.
A 1-0 loss to Woodhill is probably the last thing you'd expect from a well-known team.
An according to streggvalkligges.eds, which is recording and saving every match to their website, Austranviige is 81% of people's first thought when they hear the FDVL.
In the end, you really do have to credit the Woodhill defense for blocking 16 total shots from Austranviige.
Only 3 got through, which were all saved by Grystrak.
So, 19 shots in total, and none got past Woodhill's brick wall of a goalkeeper.
The future is unclear for these teams, as they reach the top, only to come down.
Will Emprijaal keep its reign as the emperor? Or will it too fall to the bottom?

AUSTRANVIIGE CAN'T STOP SUFFERING, VAUX STILL AT THE BOTTOM

After the 3:00 game, we noticed Austranviige get dominated by Emprijaal, who they had beaten 3-2 the previous round.
Clearly, they are going through a downfall here.
Austranviige now place 5th min the league, barely ahead of Vaux.
For Vaux, It's not a new stroy.
They started both the 1st and 2nd matchdays on top, then gradually fell.
On the last matchday, we saw Vaux hit rock bottom.
And it doesn't look like they'll be getting out any time soon.
"Suber prevormnakt vurn Emprijaal, Ein hoeb tuot ghresk underst!" says Emprijaal coach Danon VersSyzsbvy.
(That translates to: "Super performance from Emprijaal, I hope to see more!")
The Emprijaal game went pretty well, and already we have possible nominees for the Edsmontik Player of the Season Award.
der-Tylvan scored a beautiful acrobatic volley and assisted der-Kyrik's powershot just minutes later.
That puts der-Tylvan in as the top scorer too, since he's scored 7 so far.
One of those being a goal on the national team.
As for assists, he as of now has 3 assists, making him 4th in top assists.
The future is bright for this young star, but dark for some other teams.
What happens next? We just have to find out.

EMPRIJAAL IS SLIDING AWAY, CITY HOLDS FESTIVAL TO CELEBRATE RECENT WIN

Save after save by goalkeeper Dryvor was made throughout the season.
As of now, Emprijaal currently has less goals conceded than anyone else.
They also have the second most goals scored, being only 3 behind Lersterviige.
But with 5 wins, a draw, and 2 losses under their belt, they soar away with 16 total points.
Not that this is 5 points away from the second placer.
If they keep it up, who knows what they can do.
The season is right past the halfway mark, so about anything can happen.
Meanwhile, in the city of Emprijaal, fans celebrate as the mayor throws a massive festival.
The sign reads:
"FIRST TEAM TO LEAD THE FDVL FOR 3 DAYS STRAIGHT!"
And that is pretty true.
Vaux led for 2 games, Reichan led for 2, Austranviige led for one, and Emprijaal for 3.
There's lots of commotion at this festival, and you could say it's mainly because the team is here too.
We talked with the mayor and asked him what he thought about this.
"Well, I got to say, this is crazy, and I'm happy the team got through 3 days. I mean, no other team has lasted this long up front, and we want to keep this going."
You heard it folks, anything can happen, but Emprijaal aims to stay up there for the next 7 games.
The future shines bright for Emprijaal's reign as king of the FDVL.

LOSS AGAINST AUSTRANVIIGE, IS REICHAN'S GOALIE TO BLAME?

Following some horrid performances by national team goalie Vylrik, people are considering if he even belongs on the national team.
In the first half of the Austranviige game, the Reichan goalkeeper threw the ball right at an opposing player, which led to a goal just seconds after.
But it isn't his only mistake, as later, he fails to save a slow header.
Luckily for him, that was offside. But in the second half, things got worse.
The 27-year-old goalie fumbled with the ball 4 times, almost dropping it right into the path of attackers.
And just a bit after, in the 72nd minute, right after Reichan equalized, Vylrik screwed up a pass, giving away a throw in near the goal.
Of course, it ended up being offside.
But what wasn't offside, was when Vylrik took the kick, he sent it straight at an attacker, leading to another attack and another goal.
So now, people dislike him, and he might even be changed to a backup keeper on both the national team and the Reichan squad.
And according to streggvalkligges.eds, votes for the player of the season have seen Kalven Vylrik in 75th place out of 110.
So, is Vylrik to blame for these losses? Mostly.
The reason behind why he isn't completely to blame is due to the fact that the defenders are also screwing up, in passes, dribbling, and just defending in general.
What's next for Reichan and Vylrik?
Will he be removed from the starting XI?
We just have to find out.

AUSTRANVIIGE INITIATE GOAL-SCORING COMEBACK: FROM 5TH TO 3RD

Following match 10's 3 games, we saw Austranviige slam 6 in against Vaux, putting them at top with more goals than any other team.
We went in and asked Dom-Vylon, the hattrick scorer, what he thought about all of this.
But before that, let's review the match.
In the first half, all went well for Vaux, opening with two by der-Halvor and Saz-Kyrvan.
A few minutes after these early goals, Dom-Vylon replied with a long-range powershot, making it 2-1 in the 30th minute.
Not too long after, Vaux scored again, this time with Emkitte Vylrik, making it 3-1.
In the second half, Dom-Vylon and substitute Halren scored, levelling it in the 67th minute.
Shortly after, they scored again with Dom-Vylon, then with der-Hytral, making it 3-5.
Vaux tried to catch up in the 78th minute, landing a shot with Dom-Nystrek.
But Austranviige weren't about to let them catch up, as they finished the game with der-Mysten from a 90th minute corner.
Now, let's move on to the interview.
Q What did you think about today's win?
A Well, it was far crazier than the other matches, and I'm so glad to grab my first hattrick.
Q What do you think about the new fact that Austranviige has the most goals scored?
A If I'm honest, it surprised me. I thought it was Lersterviige or Emprijaal, but no.
Q Are you happy that your team got out of the bottom half of the table?
A For sure, for sure. We want to go all the way now.
That's it for today, thanks for listening in.
Whatever happens next, is determined by the confidence of these players.
The future shines bright, see everyone next time.

THE KONTŒNETÆLIßE CUP KICKS OFF IN EDSMONTIK

The Kontœnetæliße (Con-tou-net-ay-lee-ss-eh) Cup is a new nation-based football tournament.
It's similar to the leagues, and each nation participating in this cup plays each other 2 times, and after, the top two hold a final where the winner lifts the sleek silver trophy that as of now, is being manufactured by Xetric.
With the kickoff beginning, Edsmontik hopes to shine bright and win the trophy even as hosts.
The games will occur at 8:00PM, about 3 hours after the last FDVL match ends.
According to officials, the Woodhill Arenæ and Northeviige Stadtumn will hold all games until the final, which will be held in the larger Touve Sußerarenæ.
The four teams, Edsmontik, Stivira, Wedich, and Taya-Frieland will all be facing off for the trophy.
If YOU want to vote for your winner predictions, go to kontœnetælißecup/home/predictions.com to vote today!
This new cup could lead to a lot for the future, and we will be finding out!
See you next time, on Ictben News.

LERSTERVIIGE TUCK 4 AWAY BEHIND REICHAN'S VYLRIK, WHAT THE EFA IS DECIDING

Following K. Vylrik's horrid performance against Lersterviige, conceding 4 of 6 chances, Edsmontik are really considering moving him to a backup keeper.
This time, there's no blaming anyone except for Vylrik.
The defense held up powerfully, being able to block a majority of attacks and chances, with only 6 getting past.
But when they got to Vylrik, four of the six chances were converted.
Not only are Reichan fans angry, but so are his teammates AND the EFA.
The EFA, otherwise known as the Edsmon Fustbaal Association, faced the choice to either keep the badly performing Vylrik, or replace him.
We had an interview with Jheriq Wout, EFA Assistant Manager.
"Me personally, I believe that Vylrik should be removed from the main lineup, but it's up to the manager, Derhav Ystebey. Vylrik's performance has been fading, and if he stays in the national lineup, we could see more problems and possibly a loss in the Kontœnetæliße Cup. We're hosting this at home, and we want to win at home."
The Reichan team says something similar, ending with "We might be choosing option one (benching Vylrik) over option two (giving Vylrik another chance)."
So there you have it, K. Vylrik might be sent to the bench on the nationals and on Reichan.
What's the future, we just half to find out.
With 4 matches remaining, the title lifter will be determined soon.

EDSMONTIK TOPS TABLE SO FAR

Edsmontik would have not expected to top the table, because of Vylrik's performance the last few games.
However, with manager Ystebey reordering the starting lineup, the Edsmons went into their game with Wedich a little more confidently.
K. Drylon, the Austranviigean goalkeeper, made multiple saves.
And in the end, earned himself the clean sheet.
The game had started off strong for the Wedichians, who were confident, wanting to hold top spot.
They had the first three shots on goal, which were all saved by Drylon.
In the following minutes of the first half, Edsmontik led their own charge, with Dom-Jorstik slamming a shot in during the 43rd minute.
In the second half, the Wedichians continued, pushing against the defense and Drylon.
But Drylon saved all of the following 5 shots from Wedich that half.
And Edsmontik ended up winning, 1-0.
Meanwhile, the Stiviraians had their own collapsing defense, as goalkeeper Brenaard Kaufft only saved two of six total shots from the Taya-Frielandi.
Only Kallenonse and Beyerni ended up scoring, marking Stivira's first loss at 4-2.
And with this, Edsmontik currently leads with 4 points, followed by the Taya-Frielandi and Wedichians with 3.
Stivira only holds onto one point as the second matchday comes to a close for the Kontœnetæliße Cup.
What happens next? We just have to find out.

IS IT SLIPPING AWAY FOR EMPRIJAAL? A 0-1 LOSS TO AUSTRANVIIGE WORRIES FANS

A simple 62nd minute goal from Saz-Kryvorn sets Emprijaal at a chance to not win the title.
No matter how much the team tried, they were unable to land any shots behind Drylon.
Some Austranviige fans call it the "blessing of the starting lineup" because of his recent start in the Kontœnetæliße Cup.
Now, the Austranviigeis are just two points away from the crown.
If they win their match, and Emprijaal loses, they'd be at the top.
Emprijaal hope to not be dethroned.
Because only three matches remain before the winner is decided.
Let's dive into the match.
In the first half, all went well, with Emprijaal and Austranviige sharing possession about 50/50.
But around the 40th minute, the Emprijaal team began to sort of slow down.
And so Austranviige took advantage, making shots on goal.
Emprijaal replied, but with much fewer shots.
And after halftime, the Emprijaal players seemed very worn out.
The Austranviigeis then took full advantage, scoring in the 62nd minute.
This is when Emprijaal sort of woke up, creating more chances.
But none found the net.
And so, the game ended, 1-0.
It might be slipping away for Emprijaal.
They have to be really careful about it, because if they lose too many games, they can find themselves in second or even third.
The FDVL might take many more twists and turns before it ends, and who knows what will happen?
We just have to find out.

KONTŒNETÆLIßE MATCHDAY THREE: EDSMONTIK DRAW WITH THE TAYA-FRIELANDIS, WHAT COULD HAPPEN NEXT

A 2-2 draw with the Taya-Frielandis keeping in first but not at all eliminating their persistent threat.
Due to only having 5 points, and Taya-Frieland and Stivira having 4, anything can go wrong and throw Edsmontik out and away from the Kontœnetæliße finals on home turf.
The game started off well for the Edsmons, with the scoring being opened by der-Tylvan in the 7th minute.
However, Taya-Frieland responded in the 32nd minute with a masterclass shot by Reicha.
After that, the game was mostly calm with passes, dribbles, and few chances.
After halftime, both teams pushed.
der-Tylvan attempted 3 shots on goal in 15 minutes, and multiple Taya-Frielandis tried to counterattack.
But eventually, the Edsmons would have to push harder, as Taya-Frieland gained the lead in the 76th minute.
The lead didn't last long though, as an Edsmon corner saw Grysnor scoring a header in minute 81.
And after a few more treacherous minutes, the game ended 2-2.
Many predict that Edsmontik will not be able to win versus Stivira, due to the 2-0 loss during a friendly and 2-2 draw four days ago.
But some have hope, saying that Stivira's performance has been lacking lately.
Will Edsmontik enter the finals?
Will they beat Stivira?

TITLE RACE STAYS CLOSE

With no major upset and both Austranviige and Emprijaal winning their games, the title race sticks close to these two.
Now, the rest of the teams are playing for fun.
Because only two matches remain, and only Emprijaal or Austranviige at this point in time can win the title.
The Emprijaal game was not very exciting, as Vykren der-Tylvan scored the only goal that led Emprijaal to victory.
On the other side, the Austranviige game held three goals, with Saz-Mystrak and der-Tyvor scoring to win the Austranviigeis the game after Saz-Rystren of Lersterviige scored an early 19th minute goal.
Now, Austranviige leads in goals, and Emprijaal leads in most points, highest goal difference, most wins, and most points.
Even with Emprijaal leading in more things, their recent "lazy" performances according to Ictben News commentator Krylen Dosbvys are "Going to see them in second and away from that league title chance."
Will Emprijaal slip away due to their recent "laziness" in games?
Will Austranviige regain that top spot int he next two games?
We just have to find out.

EDSMONTIK CONCEDES 3 AND STILL STAYS SILENT

Recently, Edsmontik's Kontœnetæliße CUp MD4 performance has shocked many fans and the players themselves.
V. der-Tylvan and H. der-Tyvor were unable to score any goals for the entire period of the game.
"It felt impossible," der-Tylvan says. "Their defense was so strong that almost no attacks got through.
Stivira's "rebuilt" defensive 5 back formation really parked the bus, not letting Edsmontik through.
Meanwhile, Edsmontik's own defense was not strong enough to counter J. Kallenonse and K. Emerbernie, leading to a 3-0 scoreline.
Stivira ended up with 11 shots on goal, and Edsmontik only having 1, which was der-Tylvan in the 64th minute.
That shot was saved by Koshi Elemeben, the Stiviran goalkeeper.
Edsmontik's loss has set them into second last, holding onto 5 points which is two ahead of Wedich.
With only two games remaining before the final, will Edsmontik push into the top two?
Or will they fail to make the finals even on home stage?
We just have to find out.

AUSTRANVIIGE DRAWS, ALMOST BOTTLES TITLE RACE

In the 12:00 game, we say Austranviige draw with Reichan.
Of all possible times, they couldn't find a winner agains Reichan.
Their title race seemed over, because Emprijaal would surely beat Lersterviige, right?
But no, they didn't.
Instead, Emprijaal conceded two against Lersterviige, and was unable to even equalize.
The game ended at a 2-1 scoreline, with the win going to Lersterviige.
Many Emprijaal fans were disappointed, saying that Emprijaal's team could have secured themselves the title if they were able to equalize.
Austranviigeis feel the same too, knowing that if they had won, they'd be a point ahead.
But it all went down for the two leaders today.
Tomorrow, we will find out who's going to lift the treble.
So, will Emprijaal and Austranviige win their last games?
Or will a goal difference have to decide for them?
We just have to find out.

ONE MATCH TO GO, FINALS SEEM TO BE DECIDED, CAN EDSMONTIK CHANGE THAT?

With one match remaining, anything can happen.
With both leaders having eight points and Edsmontik having 6, a win against Taya-Frieland would take them across the line into the finals.
But obviously, Taya-Frieland will try to not let that happen.
They want that final, but so does anyone else.
With Taya's 5 back positioning, the game will not be easy.
But Edsmontik's classic 4-3-3 Holding could make a difference.
According to streggvalkligges.eds, if Edsmontik wins, they will advance to the finals.
If they lose, they will obviously stay down and not make it.
But if they draw, they'll still be out.
The next game means Edsmontik has o win to advance, and drawing is not an option.
So what happens next?
We just have to find out.

FAVORITES (AND UNDERDOGS) CROWNED CHAMPION

After Empijaal drew against Reichan, Austranviige fans knew that they had to win.
That was all it took to lift the trophy.
And so, in a 4-2 feat, Austranviige beat Vaux.
And they beat Emprijaal, ending their reign and lifting the trophy.
All of this, on the last day.
After the Austranviige game finished, the massive podium was set up, and there, Austranviigei fans watched as their team lifted the trophy.
Orange confetti shot into the air, and Austranviige had their name embedded into that one trophy.
That's all we have to say, besides that Emprijaal's star 19-year-old Vykren der-Tylvan was upset that he couldn't make a difference in the last match of the season.
"It's sad that my teammates and I couldn't get past Reichan. Hopefully next season we can win the league." he says.
Now, all that's left is the Kontœnetæliße Cup.
Before we close off, here's a photo taken by Ictben News photographer Emer der-Ghaben.

EDSMONTIK PUSHES TO THE FINALS, WILL THEY WIN THIS COMPETITION?

The Edsmontik versus Taya-Frieland match was critical to see who'd go through.
Edsmontik had a change, by winning, they'd take the lead and knock either Taya-Frieland or Stivira home.
And when Stivira drew against Wedich, luck came towards the Edsmons.
And so, a 3-1 victory sees them in the finals versus Stivira.
der-Tylvan, Dom-Jorstik, and der-Grylor all scored.
According to der-Tylvan, even if he wasn't able to win the FDVL, he is going to push hard to help his team win the Kontœnetæliße Cup.
The Edsmons have worked hard for this moemnt, and now, the trophy could be int their hands at any moment.
In two days, the final will commence.
Who wins? We just have to find out.
More on Ictben News next time.

EDSMONTIK SLIPS UP IN 101ST MINUTE, STIVIRA LIFTS TROPHY

After a tense 90 minutes, the Stivira-Edsmontik game went to extra time.
The score had settled at 2-2, and Edsmontik did not want to lose.
Many chances were made, but they were saved or determined offside.
But it all went wrong.
In the 101st minute, J. Kallenonse was fouled, and Briant Denhams, the setpeice taker, took the freekick.
The ball soared around Drylon, and so, Stivira grabbed the 3-2 lead.
Edsmontik tried, tried, and tried again, but the Stivirian defense was nothing other than a brick wall.
And so, the game ended, with der-Tylvan and the entire Edsmon squad having lost their chance to win a trophy.
J. Kallenonse and his team lifted the trophy right after the game, as the stadium lit up in confetti and fireworks.
Before we end off,
Photographer Emer der-Ghaben took a photo of the Stivirian team lifting the cup.

FDVL OPENS TO A VERY UNUSUAL START

The 2003 season kicked off with Austranviige branding a proud look from the season before.
After some transfers that had gone underway, many teams brought in new players from the Edsmon Youth Sports Program.
Some are starting off to great performances, such as 18-year-old Ibhen Jarenquia, who blocked out most shots that lead to a 1-1 draw with Lersterviige.
And another example would be Stentdon Beribern, who scored a hattrick after his team "couldn't even get shots on target."
What's unusual about this opening matchday for the FDVL is that all three games were drawn.
Austranviige 3-3 Woodhill,
Emprijaal 0-0 Vaux,
And Reichan 1-1 Lersterviige
The FDVL clearly is getting off to a slow start.
Whatever happens next could change the course of the 15-match title race, and who knows how.
We just have to find out.

BEIRBERN SCORES THREE- NEW UPCOMING STAR FOR FDVL?

Stentdon Beirbern opened up his FDVL career with an astonishing hattrick.
In an interview after the game, Stentdon said "I expected my teammates to be a lot better, but unfortunately they kept missing the target and failed to land shots into the goal properly."
Austranviige Ckinq hopes to sign Beirbern when the season is over.
The Ckinq's manager, Doben VersStrvenagn, states that "We made a mistake in not looking towards the youth squad. We made no possible improvements except for a small change in the lineup. Our game against Woodhill, which essentially was just Beirbern, showed our flaws. If we can get an offer in after this season, and possibly win the FDVL, we might just gather enough attention from these youth players to be able to win every other upcoming tournament."
With Beirbern most likely having a bad first impression on his team, Austranviige mostly have a chance here to sign him.
But it all depends on what the club itself will do about it.

UNFORTUNATE SLIP UP BY AUSTRANVIIGE LEADS THEM SECOND TO LAST

After a small slip up right after halftime, Austranviige found themselves 1-0 down to Emprijaal.
What seemed easy to equalize just got harder, and harder, and harder over time.
Austranviige's star players were unable to land any significant shot even close to the net.
Vykren der-Tylvan had scored, assisted by "super-sub" Bernik Sahzentreguit.
Already, manager Reion Defotseur of Emprijaal plans to put Bernik on more often.
"Vykren has a good link up with Bernik, and that's why we should consider having him as a starter. We want Vykren to be here for a while."
On the Austranviige side, the managers are not so joyous.
"We should have checked out the youth market, or at least bought a player. Now, with the other teams improving, and ours not, we might fall out and fail to ever win more trophies."
So, what's up next?
Will Austranviige keep losing?
Will Vykren stay content with Emprijaal? Or does he want more?
We just have to find out.

REICHAN PUSHES TO THE TOP

So much was given to the Reichan players after they figured out they were top of the league.
Bervagt Soberhet starred for the Reichan team, scoring a brace and assisting der-Grylor's goal.
Many say that the youth bunch is the best, ad a lot of teams were completely wrong about not bringing in youth players.
Goalkeeper Ibhen Jarenquia performed well, having made the majority of saves.
With Austranviige and Woodhill clearly not going to catch up that easily, things look good for the De-Walvarj.
They hope to take it even farther and win the league title.
But that's still many, many games away.

SAHZENTREGUIT AND DER-TYLVAN: BEST DUO OR NOT?

FIVE goals against Woodhill.
der-Tylvan and Sahzentreguit.
They are as of now, referred to as the "best duo in existence."
Both players have made insane impacts on the people around them.
If you asked an Edsmon who their favorite player was, it'd most likely be der-Tylvan.
If you asked them who their second favorite player was, it'd most likely be Sahzentreguit.
Whenever they walk by, people look in awe, children say that they want to be like them.
It's not overrating them.
They obviously aren't the best with so many other strong footballers in other nations.
But all people want to ask is: Are they the best duo?

BEIRBERN CONTINUES TO IMPRESS AT WOODHILL, BUT THE REST OF HIS TEAM DOESN'T

Beribern.
The golden boy for Woodhill.
He actually saved them a few times.
But what's wrong, you may ask? Why has Woodhill not won a single game so far?
Fans say that the Woodhill team is just jumping on Beirbern and expecting him to carry them.
It doesn't work that way, and so the pressure to put Woodhill in the top three has caused them to collapse to last.
Some think that there's no way out of this.
But if Woodhill's team steps up, maybe, just maybe they can top the league.
But as of now, it doesn't look like it.
Football fans in Woodhill are angry, but not with Beirbern.
They lashed out at everyone (except Beribern), asking for answers.
Woodhill went from third in the 2002 season to starting off the 2003 season in last.
We have no information about what may be up next for Woodhill, but we just have to sit back and see for ourselves.

CAN'T SECURE ANYTHING BUT A DRAW: IS WOODHILL JEHIKKENMIK DOOMED?

Lately, it's been clearer than ever that Edsmon youngster Beirbern has been doing the majority of the work for Woodhill.
However, with his absence this game to keep him from exhaustion has shown Woodhill's inability to do much without him.
Jehikkenmik fans say that "Woodhill isn't the same", stating that they were good even before Beirbern.
Now a draw against any other team would have been okay, but against Vaux Rejhaflik?
Vaux finished last in the past season and is the first team to hit double digits in overall losses in their entire existence.
Woodhill now sits at the bottom with two points, two draws, two losses, and negative four goal differencial.
What can they do to turn their game around?
We just have to find out.

EMPRIJAAL'S PERFORMANCE STUNS LERSTERVIIGE FANS

A loss to Emprijaal was pretty expected, but what stunned Lersterviige fans was the chemistry between their opponent's strikers.
Both der-Tylven and Sahzentreguit played extremely well, both scoring a goal and assisting each other.
When it came to the entirety of the Emprijaal team, those two stood out the most.
It's been four matchdays, and these guys have already built so much trust that they perform crazy passes and moves for eachother.
According to matchratings/eds.com, both players had over an 8.0 match rating.
What's next for these two?
There's clearly much left to come.

UPSETS GALORE

Of all things that could have happened,
Of all goals that could have been scored,
Austranviige and Emprijaal, the two largest teams of the FDVL,
Are left empty handed.
And they aren't left empty handed to any team...
They're left empty handed to two of the arguably worst teams: Vaux Rejhaflik and Reichan De-Walvarj.
That's not all though, as Lersterviige and Woodhill drew their game.
A game that was expected to be won by either side (depending on your side)
It was Beirbern or Jorvik.
What a matchday.

AUSTRANVIIGE STAYS STUCK IN THE BOTTOM HALF

Last season, Austranviige dominated, holding a head-to-head race with Emprijaal.
No matter how behind the Austranviigeis were, they still ended up topping the table on the final matchday.
However, this season, things aren't looking too well.
The first third of the season is over, and Austranviige is stuck with three draws and two losses.
Not a single win in sight.
Whatever happens next, we will have to see whether it turns the fans against them or not.
Edsmons are pretty dedicated to their team, so we'll find out.
