For supporters and fans, the host cities are known as international travel destinations so you can expect a range of cuisine to be selected. Please checks on the Pemecutan tourism app for details of restaurants and cafes that you try to search. Please notice about the local laws regarding smoking in public and consuming alcohol. Cities like Ubung, Puradhipa and Jematang have a stricter rule regarding smoking in public area while Kesiman is quite lax. You can only consume alcohol if you already 21 years old. And 18 years old for smoking. PDA (public display of affection) is frown upon despite the cities like Ubung, Puradhipa and Jematang are more progressive. Kesiman is pretty conservative city. And of course, always checks local traffic news as Dharma Tirtha believers have quite a lot of small festivities and ceremonies that they sometimes parade on the streets. At that moment, expect a high traffic in the area.

Acastanha Male Senior Football Team

Acastanha or Federation of Acastanha is a country located in Sol Peninsula at the northeast part of Main island in Mandalanusa. It has a land border with Kieraha to the southwest and Sendhang to its south. It is a developing country with agriculture and some mining as their main income. CPO is the country's largest export commodity followed by timber.

In the world of football, Acastanha started their international debut by entering 5th Melayu Archipelago Cup. They were managed to advance to quarterfinal, but they were stopped by Belfitz. Over the course of the competition, they are always managed to qualify to the knockout stage. But they often ended up in the quarterfinal. Their best performance was reaching the final stage in 2 occasions. First in the 10th edition where they were defeated by Eraman. And the second was in the 12th edition. At the later, they success to win their first trophy both in the competition and the team history.

In the international competition, Acastanha senior football team debuts at Baptism of Fire 74 before continuing to the World Cup. Throughout their World Cup participation, they never advance to the main competition. They success to break into play-off in WCQ 92 just to be defeated by Drawkland in a penalty shootout. They were also invited to Cup of Harmony. Their best result was Round 32 which they reached in 82nd and 83rd edition. However, their performance has recently decline. They failed to reached play-off in WCQ 93 and they continue to exit earlier in Cup of Harmony after the 83rd edition. This situation is contradictory with their regional achievement.

Exploring Jauharius Soccer Clubs [Part 4]

The Luxurious History of United Soccer ST: The Legacy of Shiverpoint Soccer Club

Image

United Soccer ST, a towering semi-professional soccer club in the National Amateur League, Jauharius, has a rich history of stories of perseverance and success. Based in Shiverpoint, Ironforks Creek, the club has etched its name in local football history since its inception in 1992. This club began to carve out the name Shiverpoint Invicta, replacing the original Shiverpoint United who were forced out of the National Amateur League due to bankruptcy. The year 1992 became an important landmark, where the club made its mark in the world of local football. Although the beginning was not always easy, the spirit of entrepreneurship and the determination to rise again colored the early steps of Shiverpoint Invicta.

A drastic change came in 1995 when Darkcliff Investment bought the club. With the change of ownership, the club not only received a huge capital injection but also felt a new spirit with the change of name to United Soccer ST. This era brought lasting success, with the club claiming several important trophies and victories, securing promotions that shaped their fixture landscape. Among the benchmarks that extend the history of United Soccer ST is the move to their stadium, Cloudhorn Point, in 2012. After two decades of playing in various fields, this move marks the maturity and stability of the club. Cloudhorn Point witnesses the club's string of successes, giving them a strong identity and a place they consider a true home.

The club's administration also played a major role in this success, with SC Pearlbergh 2655 Head Coach, Peter Hertcombe, playing a key role in carving out the club's history. A former club manager, Hertcombe guides the team with vast expertise and experience, shaping the game and maintaining the legacy of excellence that characterizes United Soccer ST. With a history rich with stories of success and perseverance, United Soccer ST continues to carve their name as one of the most influential and respected football clubs in Jauharius. They not only pursue excellence on the field but also set aside a brilliant history that will be remembered by fans and generations to come.

The game of association football was introduced to Biyambi (then called Livingstonia after Gary Livingstone the Alban man that discovered Biyambi) by soldiers and later Galeannan missionaries and white settlers in the late 1800s. Magome Athletic Club (MAC) (1890) and Mbera Country Club (MCC) (1890) are two of the oldest clubs in Biyambi.
Research shows that the first known football match took place in Mbera Village, Mansanduni in 1890, when MAC lost 4-2 to MCC. In the early days football was mainly played by white settlers of Magome, Mwalikulu, Bujero and Mansanduni. These white settlers played friendly games three times a year, namely on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and the Queen’s birthday, 5th September.
In the late 1800s and early 1900s a lot of missionaries arrived in Livingstonia. The missionaries not only introduced Christianity to the indigenous peoples but also western education. The missionaries opened up boarding schools and health centres.
The missionaries used the game of association football as a tool of assimilating the indigenous peoples to western culture, in order to convert them to Christianity. Football and other sports were part of ‘Muscular Christianity’. Football was played in mission schools, churches and health centres, to the missionary’s football kept the indigenous peoples out of immoral behaviours, taught them discipline and cooperation. Football became popular among pupils who graduated from these mission schools and they continued to play in their respective communities. Over time these mission school graduates formed their own clubs.
The very first ever indigenous football clubs were Cigonje County Football Club and Baladeni Pirates formed by former school boys from Likulu Boys Mission School in Birnin Likulu.
The early indigenous football clubs played inhouse amongst themselves rarely playing with other football clubs, as white settlers begun to organise competitive matches, forming the Livingstonia Football Association (LFA) League in 1922.
In the late 1920s and early 30s there was a boom in the formation of indigenous football clubs following the discovery of gold and opening of gold mines in the Oranma Province. Many indigenous people left their small towns and villages, abandoning subsistence farming to work in the fast-urbanising towns in Oranma Province. Labour was needed in mines, for building roads and railway lines. As the population grew in these towns, Indigenous Welfare Services (IWS) were formed by the colonial authorities to look after the influx of indigenous peoples. To prevent anti-social behaviours such as gambling and protesting, the IWS, mining companies, railway companies, estates (tea, cotton and tobacco), police and medical service formed sports clubs for natives that would help promote good behaviour and sobriety. Clubs such as Railway Rangers, Kasonthe Dynamos, Farmers Marketing Board (FMB), Mbera Castles, Goldville Tigers, Imperial Cotton Group, Livingstonia United Transport (LUT), Mbera Black Stars, Imperial Mines and Hardware Stars were all formed in the 1930s. These clubs were formed on tribal lines for example Mbera Castles was a club for Zangis whilst Mbera Black Stars was a club for Amaris.During this period indigenous street football teams were also formed most notably Mansanduni Union that was formed by disgruntled Railway Rangers players who were mistreated by the Rangers Railway Company. Union was the first cross-tribal football club and quickly became popular because of its anti-colonial stance. A rivalry between Union and Railway Rangers formed and the matches between the two sides were seen as the Peoples Team versus the colonialist’s team. Union also inspired the break away and founding of other clubs such as PZ Stars which broke away from Hardware Stars, Bokino Bola Club and Black Leopards.
As football became popular among the indigenous peoples, the governor of Livingstonia, Sir Harry Johnson bought a trophy and formed the first national cup called the Governor’s Cup in 1940. This cup was played by every club, white or indigenous. The white settlers dominated the cup in the 40s however the rise of Mansanduni Union as a football powerhouse in the 50s ended their dominance. In 1945 the Livingstonia Natives Football Association (LINAFA)League was formed, it was the first ever indigenous football league, a cup would follow in 1950.
In 1964 following independence of Livingstonia which became Biyambi, LINFA and LFA would unite to form the Ungwazi wa Biyambi Football Federation (UBFF). In the same year, several prominent clubs of the time formed the Biyambi Football League.

ALTERNATE BEGINNINGS OF MANSANDUNI UNION PEOPLES FOOTBALL CLUB

On a cold winter morning in 1936, six gentlemen from the Rangers Football Club sat down on the grass pitch of Nelson Ainsworth Stadium getting ready for that mornings training. These gentlemen were engaged in a discussion that would create one of the greatest football clubs in Mandalanusa.

These gentlemen were native Biyambians, and as natives they were not allowed to use the same dressing rooms as the Galeannan colonialists. That is why they were getting ready on the pitch. This discrimination had turned men like James Makina weary and disillusioned by the Rangers Football Club. On that grass alongside his companions , Rashid Osman, Peter Simfukwe, Kondwani Banda, Hameed Casimir and Chikondi Chiwaya they decided that enough was enough and that day they decided to break away from the club and form their own. However, it was not going to be easy, the Rangers President, Robert Bruce a brutal racist, demanded the players that wanted to leave (24 members) would have to pay a 125 Galeannan Pounds each (about 3000 GP in total) all at once. Undeterred, the dissatisfied 24 members persevered and sacrificed as they endured the racism in the club as they scraped together the necessary funds. At one point the players were forced to change and eat in a barn with the livestock.

Finally, on June 11, 1937, a year from the day the discussion on the grass had took place, the 24 members were able to pay the 3000 GP and on the same day Mansanduni Union Peoples Football Club was founded albeit by under a different name, Umodzi Athletic Club. Little suspecting, that they were laying the foundations for one of the greatest football clubs in Mandalanusa.

James Makina I was voted as the first President of the club. During the colonial era, natives were banned from public gatherings in fear of political discussions. Church and sports was the only way to get together. In the early years of the club, meetings were hosted by the President and eventually the club also founded their own church with the President's house being the venue for all their church activities. Football trainings and church services at President James Makina's house were used as a cover for meeting of political nature. From James Makina's house the Democratic Congress Party was born.

After several years of poor performances, success would finally arrive in the 1940s. Union completed a hat-trick of Raipley Cup wins, after thrashing Chimutu Pirates 5-1 in the 1940 final, mercilessly beating Mansanduni Rural 9-1 in the 1941 final, and clinching the Raipley Cup for a record third consecutive year in 1942 by beating giants, Mansanduni Urban. In the early 40s, Union also managed to win promotion to the Mansanduni Biyambians Football Association (MBFA) Division One after clinching the Divison Two title in 1940, they then went on to finish in 2nd place in 1942.

Success would continue for the Peoples Team throughout the 40s as they continued to add honours to their name. For four years straight, Union would clinch the MBFA Division One title year after year in dominant fashion. The club was renowned for its flashy offensive style of play through their young bright forwards such as Chimwemwe 'Electric Chimzy' Mangani and Twimepoki Gondwe who scored lots of goals. This success led to expansion of the club in Birnin Likulu the capital of Biyambi and the Ziwani Archipelago. A branch was opened in the capital and 4 more would be opened in Magome, Mwalikulu, Baladeni and Tsopa in the 40s.

In an attempt to discredit the success of the club, Rangers Football Club now known as Mighty Rangers challenged the club to an exhibition match on Coronation Day. The match was quite significant the Biyambi peoples team versus the colonialists champions.
On September 5, 1946, the first Mbera Derby took place, with Mansanduni Union emerging victorious with a 4-2 win. This triumph was celebrated by many Biyambians and quickly earned Mansanduni Union the nickname “the People’s Team”. From that moment on Mansanduni Union became synonymous with the ordinary people of Biyambi and Ziwana, standing up for their rights and dignity. The club would adopt the Peoples Football Club moniker from that day forth.
The 1947 season would see the revival of the displaced sleeping giants, Mansanduni Urban, awake thanks to the help of Mighty Rangers. The Rangers would loan Urban players for that season. Mansanduni Urban would be known as Biya Rangers. All this in an effort to dethrone the Peoples Team, Mansanduni Union. That season, Biya Rangers would dethrone Union in the league with Biya Rangers becoming champions. However, Union would eliminate Biya Rangers in the Raipley Cup Second Round, going on to win the cup for the 5th time beating Mansanduni Rural 2-1 thanks to a goals from James Makina and Twimepoki Gondwe.
Honours (1937-1947) :
MBFA Division One : 4, Mansanduni Cup : 5, MBFA Division Two : 1

ALTERNATE MANSANDUNI UNION HISTORY FROM THE LATE 40S TO LATE 70S

1948 to 1957

The late 40's saw the colonial government distrust Mansanduni Union, viewing it as an institution committed in subverting the colonial government and a symbol of Ziwani nationalism in the midst of Galeannan occupation.

During this time the colonial police put restrictions on Mansanduni Union that barred them from playing on local pitches. The club was forced to carry goal posts, playing on any field that they found, from farmland to the forest and hills. The club was undeterred though. It was committed in growing football and fighting for the emancipation of the Ziwani Archipelago from the Galeannan colonialists.

In 1948 in an effort to grow the game of football, the Biyambi Football League (BFL) was founded, inspired by the Union President, James Makina's vision. In the first season of the league, Union would finish as runners up and eventually won the league championship the following season. During the celebrations, the players mocked the Galeaannan national anthem and club President, James Makina in his speech made it clear that the club now called Mansanduni Union from Birnin Select stood for self-determination, equality, democracy of the people by the people for the people and independence of the Ziwani Archipelago. This defiance had severe consequences, the colonial authorities cracked down mercilessly on Mansanduni Union. Club members suspected of being part of the independence movements were arrested, moreover, James Makina the club President was arrested and killed during hours of torture. James Makina's family was sneaked out of the country by Union club members escaping to Samudera.

The purges greatly affected the club with players escaping into exile and club members resigning from the club in fear of retaliation from the colonial authorities. Further devastation for Union would follow in 1950 with a schism that saw the club split. A faction of Union, the Royalists led by Timoteo Nyirenda resigned from the club. The speech the late President James Makina I had delivered supporting republicanism had rubbed Royalists the wrong way who wanted to reinstate the monarchy after Ziwana had acquired independence. The Royalist would go on and found Amangwazi Birnin. The club attendances would fall and the Peoples Team would experience highs and lows in the league: finishing 10th in 1950, 2nd in 1951, 7th in 1952, 11th in 1953, 2nd in 1954, 8th in 1955, 3rd in 1956, and 5th in 1957.

Honours (1948-1957) :

In 1958, a new era dawned upon Mansanduni Union as Gift Kambuwe, a prosperous entrepreneur owning a cotton mill in Mbera, assumed the mantle of the club's presidency, succeeding Peter Simfukwe. With the club facing challenges stemming from past purges and fluctuating attendances, Gift Kambuwe's vision aimed to resurrect Mansanduni Union's standing in the Biyambi Football League (BFL).

Under Kambuwe's leadership as President/head coach, Mansanduni Union navigated the highs and lows of the league, securing a 7th place finish in 1958, a season where arch-rivals Mighty Rangers claimed the championship. The following year, the Peoples Team rose to glory, clinching the league title for the second time.

The 60s would see Union experience a series of podium finishes - 7th in 1960, 3rd in 61 and 62, and a dip to 6th in 63, coinciding with Ngwazi Izulani's return from exile. This return marked a significant shift in Biyambi football and political dynamics, as Ngwazi Izulani threw his patronage and financial support behind Amangwazi Birnin, their rivals.

The emergence of Amangwazi Birnin as contenders posed a formidable challenge for Mansanduni Union. In 1963 and 1965, the Royals secured league titles, leaving the Peoples Team grappling with the pain of falling short. The 1966 season brought an unparalleled feat, as Amangwazi Birnin went the whole season unbeaten, securing the title in an invisible season. The disappointment for Mansanduni Union was palpable, finishing 2nd in the league.

The trend would continue in subsequent years, with Union finishing as runners-up to Amangwazi Birnin in 1967 and 1968. Despite consistently being on the cusp of glory, the Peoples Team found themselves in the shadows of their rivals.

Amidst these footballing rivalries, Biyambi gained independence in 1964.

Honours (1958-1968) :

Biyambi Football League : 1

1969 to 1978
The late 1960s and the 1970s marked a remarkable resurgence for Mansanduni Union, as they experienced a dynamic shift in fortunes and a resurgence of pride.

In 1969, the People's Team reclaimed their status as champions in the BFL, securing the title for the first time in a decade. The triumph resonated with the club's rich history, rekindling the spirit of success that had defined Mansanduni Union in earlier years.

As the 1970s unfolded, Union expanded its horizons by becoming a founding member of the Ziwani Football League (ZFL). In the inaugural ZFL season, Union emerged as champions, showcasing their prowess beyond the borders of Biyambi.

Back in Biyambi, Mansanduni Union continued to make waves in the BFL. The early 70s saw consistent performances, with a 3rd-place finish in 1970, followed by 5th-place finihses in 1971 and 1972. However, the turning point arrived in 1973 when the People's Team secured their fourth BFL title. Not content with just the BFL, Mansanduni Union also clinched the ZFL title in the same year, asserting their dominance across the leagues.

The following years presented challenges, with a notable dip in 1974 as Union finished 8th in the BFL after losing key players to rivals Amangwazi Birnin. The struggles continued in 1975 with an 11th-place finish, while their rivals claimed the BFL title.

Under the leadership of their first Head Coach, Kevin Onions, Mansanduni Union steadily regained momentum. The acquisition of a forminable defender, Dean Dundunza, added steel to the team, and he quickly became a club hero.

The club's popularity soared during this period, reflected in a significant rise in membership to 24,000. Ngwazi Izulani also recognized the contributions of the late James Makina I, knighting him as Bwana James Makina I, an honour that echoed his pivotal role in the club's history.

In 1977, Mansanduni Union achieved a historic milestone by winning the ZFL title for the third time, equalling their rivals Amangwazi Birnin in ZFL trophy count. The culmination of this successful period occurred in 1978 when the People's Team secured their fifth BFL title, firmly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

Honours (1969-1978) :

ALTERNATE MANSANDUNI UNION HISTORY PART 2

1979-1988

The late 1970s and the 1980s saw the club ascend to new heights, achieving unprecedented success and solidifying their place as a footballing powerhouse.

In 1979, the People's Team continued their consistent performance in the BFL finishing in 3rd place. Simultaneously, they dominated the ZFL, claiming the title and becoming the most decorated side in ZFL history with four titles.

The early 1980s saw Mansanduni Union challenging for the BFL, finishing 3rd in 1980 and 1981. The club reached the pinnacle in 1982, reaching the Biyambi Cup final for the first time but narrowly losing to their rivals Mighty Rangers with a 1-0 score line. The following year, Union would once again reach the Biyambi Cup final, facing defeat once more against Mighty Rangers.

At the conclusion of the 1983 season, Head Coach Kevin Onions resigned, and club hero Dean Dundunza assumed the coaching mantle. Dundunza ushered in a new era, promoting youth talent from the Union Academy, including Francis Mughogho, Francis Sakala and Mphatso Dzimbiri.

In 1984, Mansanduni Union enjoyed a historic season, clinching their sixth BFL title and achieving the elusive double for the first time in Biyambi history. The club's attacking style and one-touch play became the clubs trademark under Dundunza's leadership.

The 1985 season brought diverse results, finishing 9th in the BFL but capturing the Cup of Champions by defeating PZ Stars. The following season in 1986, Mansanduni Union would claim their seventh title, narrowly missing an invincible season.

The club's dominance continued in 1987 as they won the BFL title for the second consecutive year.

They would do better in 1988 clinching their 9th BFL title alongside the Biyambi Cup to do the double for a second time in their history. The double would be dedicated to Gift Kambuwe, the club president who passed away that year. Mark Kambuwe, his son, would become club president. That same year, Union would win the cup of champions for a 3rd time becoming the most decorated side in the competition.

During this decade, the club's membership would skyrocket to 186,500, reflecting the clubs widespread popularity and influence.

After 5 years of success at the club, winning 4 league championships and 2 Biyambi Cup titles, Manager Dean Dundunza would resign and his assistant manager, Jake Chabwera would become the new manager of Mansanduni Union.

Honours (1979-1988) :

Ziwani Football League : 1, BFL First Division : 4, Biyambi Cup : 2, Cup of Champions : 3

1989-1998

Under Jake Chabwera's leadership Union won the inaugural BFL Cup in 1989, but their league performances slumped, finishing in eight-place in 1990 and 6th place in 1991. Chabwera would be dismissed at the end of the 1991 season.

Chabwera would be replaced by Bokino BC manager, Shem Chirwa. In Chirwa's first season in charge Union finished sixth place in the league and reached the Biyambi Cup final for the first time since Dundunza left. Union would lose the final to non-league side Baladeni Pirates.

The following seasons, would see the club make some title challenges, finishing as runners up in 1993, finishing in third place in 1994 and finishing in 4th place in 1995. Due to a tight budget enforced by the board and the Union Academy being closed in 1990, Chirwa was forced to rely on cheap older players on the transfer market. Between 1992 and 1995, Chirwa brought in 32 year old left back John Sichali, 35 year old defensive midfielder Daniel Matemba, 29 year old left wing Paul Dzimbiri and striker Gift Ngwambi all for a meagre 250,000 Silivas (50,000 NS Dollars).

In the 1996 season Union won three competitions to complete a unique treble of trophies, the first domestic treble in Biyambi football history. The first trophy was the BFL Cup, when they beat Mwalikulu Swallows 5-2. They would then win the league title for the first time in 8 years, wins in crucial matches against Mafumu Chiefs and PZ Stars in the last games of the season would see the People's team crowned Biyambi champions for the 10th time. The final trophy the club won was the Biyambi Cup, a goal from Paul Dzimbiri in the final minutes of the game against rivals Mighty Rangers would see Union crowned Biyambi Cup champions for the third time. At the end of this season several key players would retire.

The following season would be tough for Chirwa and his Union side would finish in ninth place in the league. However, the fans would find solace after Union defended their Biyambi Cup title, beating BDC Aces 3-1 in the final to lift their 4th Biyambi Cup trophy. Chirwa would resign sighting failure of the board to provide him with adequate funds.

Shem Chirwa would be replaced by Gary Boltwood. Twelve games into the 1997 season, Union would find themselves at the bottom of the table with relegation at their hills, Boltwood would be promptly fired with club legend Dean Dundunza making a return to Izulani National Stadium. Under Dundunza, the club would have the 3rd best form in the league, winning four games, drawing four and only losing twice.

In his first full season back, Dean Dundunza would sell off most of the team, signing unproven youth players such as Precious Kayuni, Chisomo Hassan, Chisomo Kalonga and George Kondowe. The unproven players would struggle in the league finishing in sixth place but shine in the BFL Cup and ZFF Cup. Union would beat rivals Mighty Rangers 3-0 in the final to claim their 3rd League Cup trophy and would come back from 3-0 at half time in the ZFF Cup final against Western United beating them 4-3 to win their first ever ZFF Cup. The cups had the fans dancing but Dundunza in an interview with the Mbera Star said that he was not satisfied with finishing in midtable and wanted the team consistently challenging for the title or winning it.

Honours (1989-1998) :

BFL First Division : 1, Biyambi Cup : 2, ZFF Cup : 1, BFL Cup : 3, Cup of Champions : 2

In his second , Dean Dundunza took a hands-on approach to training sessions, he made sure his players were in top shape by not only insuring the players were physically fit but also focusing on the nutrition of the players. Alcohol consumption was banned and any player found partaking would have his contract terminated. His discipline worked with Mansanduni Union dominating the league for most of the season. By February, Union would claim its first trophy of the season in the BFL Cup by beating their rivals, Amangwazi Birnin in the final. The end of the season would see their fortunes turn upside down with Union getting knocked out of the Biyambi Cup in the semi-final to rivals Mighty Rangers before losing their last two games of the season to rivals PZ Stars and Amangwazi Birnin leading to Mafumu Chiefs being crowned as champions.

The loss in 99 would motivate Dundunza's team in the new millennium as the People's Team would go on to win the BFL First Division for the 11th time. The side would also reach the BFL Cup final again which they lost to PZ Stars.

In the 2001 season, Union would defend their BFL First Division title beating Mighty Rangers and Amangwazi Birnin 5-2 and 4-0 respectively on their way to their 12th title.

The following season would see Mansanduni Union trophy less. In the 2002 season Union would finish in 3rd place and reach the final of the BFL Cup, losing to their rivals Mighty Rangers in a 2-1 score line. In the 2003 season, the Peoples Team would get closer but a consistent Amangwazi Birnin would prevent them from lifting their 13th championship with the Royals lifting their 13th title. In the 2004 season the team would struggle finishing in 4th place. Manager Dean Dundunza would stick with his players refusing to sell them off.

Dundunza's trust in his players would pay off in the following seasons as Union would lift their 13th and 14th league championships whilst also collecting their 5th Biyambi Cup and BFL Cup. Union fans were also happy as they ended their rivals, Mighty Rangers' 7-year hold on the Biyambi Cup.

The 2007 and 2008 seasons would see Union begin their rebuild phase but even though this was so the club would finish in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Unfortunately Manager, Dean Dundunza would pass away after suffering from a cardiac arrest. He would die a hero. As Union Manager he would die a legend, during his time as manager he won 8 league championships, 4 Biyambi Cups, 3 BFL Cups ,6 Cup of Champions and 1 ZFF Cup
