2023 Womens Rugby World Cup - Hacyinia defeats Estmere 28-10 in the “The Morwall Miracle”

September 8th, 2023
Image

In a jaw-dropping display of grit, determination, and sheer rugby brilliance, The Hacyinian Khutuluns delivered a stunning 28-10 triumph over Estmerish Black Widows, one of the world's rugby powerhouses. The match, now famously referred to as the "Morwall Miracle," has left rugby fans worldwide in awe and Estmere in shock.

The first half of the game seemed relatively uneventful, with Estmere in control, leading 10-0 at halftime. Estmere had dominated possession for the overwhelming majority of the half and were on track to a solid, if boring, win. However, the turning point came early in the second half when Estmere found themselves down to 14 players after Patty Hamill received a red card. Just moments later, Zira Halliche also saw red, further reducing Estmere's numbers to a mere 13 players. Both red cards were the result of dangerous clear-outs in the ruck.

Then the now infamous "ten minutes of terror" started. Hacyinia seized the opportunity that the red cards created, with Mariam Batu crossing the try line in the 45th minute, followed by Ayisha Dashdorj's try in the 48th. Ayana Nergui, a standout player, scored two tries in quick succession in the 55th and 64th minutes, solidifying Hacyinia's lead. Aigerim Jangar added the final flourish with a try in the 66th minute, securing a bonus point victory for Hacyinia.

Playing with only 13 players, Estmere struggled immensely. The loss of Zira Halliche prompted Estmere to bring starting tighthead Jo Russell back onto the field, resulting in the departure of Maisy Morris, who had scored Estmere's only try in the first half. The loss of two players enabled a high-octane Hacyinian attack to roar. For the “ten minutes of terror”, which now has to be in rugby lore, everything went right for Hacyinia. Offloads went to hand, kicks were perfectly weighted and more.

This historic victory has sent shockwaves throughout the rugby world, shaking up the possibilities within Pool A and drawing the worlds attention to Hacyinia. Captain Sabina Rahimi, speaking after the match, said, "To be able to come here and beat Estmere is nothing short of spectacular. I’m speechless, I’m at a loss for words. I just feel so blessed to be playing for this team, for my second family.”

Hacyinia's unexpected triumph over Estmere has not only shaken up the Women's Rugby World Cup but also raised the profile of women's rugby in Hacyinia. It is a victory that will be celebrated for generations to come, inspiring a new era of rugby excellence in the heart of Coius. Despite being the underdogs, this formidable team demonstrated an unwavering commitment to each other and to the sport.

As the Hacyinian Women's Rugby Team marches forward in the tournament, they carry with them the hopes and dreams of their nation. With the world's attention now firmly fixed on them, they aim to leave a lasting impression, gain automatic qualification for the next World Cup, and prove that they belong among the world's rugby elite.

Catch the Hacyinian women's rugby team's second game against Chistodva on September 10th right here on AllCoiusSports or on worldsports.tv.

Rizealand 10 - 0 Satucin
Tries: Libby Thompson 37' (RIZ)
Conversions: Georgia Dempsey (1/1) 38' (RIZ)
Penalties: Georgia Dempsey (1/3) 58' (RIZ)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

A fairly uneventful match that saw Rizealand struggle past an unexpectedly powerful Satucin side. Satucin were let down by handling errors which allowed Rizealand past their unbreakable defence, as in the case of Libby Thompson's 37th minute try.

Image
Gaullica 10 - 3 Etruria
Tries: Julie Matthieu 14' (GAL); Émilienne Héroux 75' (GAL)
Conversions: Guillemette Deshaies (0/2) (GAL)
Penalties: Pasta Bolognese (1/6) 4' (ETR)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

An ugly contest that saw Gaullica narrowly pass Etruria to win a difficult game on a swelteringly hot day in Estmere.

Image
Satavia 10 - 17 Scovern
Tries: Kolka Márusardóttir 3' (SCO); Renate Anfinson 8' (SCO); Else Bjerg 11' (SCO); Brooke Gordon 34', 67' (STV)
Conversions: Renate Anfinson (1/3) 9' (SCO); Hazel Woods (0/2) (STV)
Penalties: Hazel Woods (0/5) (STV)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Scovern defeated Satavia for the first time in their history after a controversial game which saw serious offences committed by both sides entirely ignored by Etrurian referee Isa Vaccarella, as well as increasingly erratic and questionable calls. Nonetheless, Scovern's performance was mighty; undaunted by the fact they were facing one of the greatest sides in the world. A remarkable performance all round, that saw Scorn's only points come in the first 11 minutes, and spent the remaining sixty nine minutes defending for their life. Despite two interventions from fullback Brooke Gordon of Satavia, Hazel Wood's shocking day at the kicking tee meant Satavia were unable to claw themselves back into the game, and ultimately lost in a humiliating defeat. However, the actions of Isa Vaccarella will no doubt be the subject of much scrutiny in the following days, particularly from a sore Satavia. Just when we thought there were enough enormous upsets in this tournament, Satavia has become the latest team to be felled by a vastly inferior opponent.

Image
Garambura 55 - 10 Maucha
Tries: Cécilia Pelletier 14', 56', 79' (GAR); Annie Rouzet 20' (GAR); Prisque-Galloise Ballouhey 30' (GAR); Maucha Person 39' (MAU); Murelle Fassié 45', 66' (GAR)
Conversions: Annie Rouzet (7/7) 15', 21', 31', 46', 57', 67', 80' (GAR); Maucha Person 40' (MAU)
Penalties: Maucha Person (1/4) 5'; Murelle Fassié (0/2) (GAR)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Garambura showed off with a seven try bonus-point demolition derby of their Bahian neighbour, Maucha. Although Maucha took first blood, with a penalty in the 5th minute, it was soon falling behind. Cécilia Pelletier person of the match performance was incredible; a hat trick of tries (excluding two further tries that were denied to her by the TMO) in perhaps the most remarkable performance in the history of the Women's Rugby World Cup. Annie Rouzet kicking was perfect, and overall Garambura's team performed perfectly. Such a performance by this team would have defeated any other nation, remarked one pundit. It was a vast improvement on Garambura's previous match against Satavia.

Estmere 19 - 7 Senria
Tries: Hiroko Yageta 13' (SEN); Paige Jordan 27' (EST); Joan Freeman 51' (EST); Brooklyn Deveraux 70' (EST)
Conversions: Kaori Ogata (1/1) 14' (SEN); Millie Clarke (2/3) 28', 52' (EST)
Penalties: Kaori Ogata (0/2) (SEN)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Despite Senria's opening score, Estmere soon powered past to secure a try and draw level at half time. Although not reflected in the score line, Senria often had the upper hand and ended the match with some 65% of possession, including several trips into the Estmerish 22, but generally were unable to convert their moments of magic and opportunities into points.

Image
Hacyinia 0 - 7 Chistovodia
Tries: Nina Kuzmenko 19' (CHI)
Conversions: Nina Kuzmenko (1/1) 20' (CHI)
Penalties:

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

A low scoring game, that saw Chistovodia score a single lonely try from pre-match replacement Nina Kuzmenko (replacing regular starter Liliya Kulyk). A strong and well-disciplined defence from Hacyinia consistently kept Chistovodia out, but in turn Hacyinia never looked like scoring a try either, with very few attacking opportunities. Nonetheless, they secured the losing bonus point, which could be crucial in the outcome of the pool.

Image
Caldia 27 - 5 Tengaria
Tries: Émer Nic Cuinn 9' (CAL); Nuala Ní Raghallaigha 34' (CAL); Nárbhla Uí hArragáin 50' (CAL); Sofia Acyriaci 79' (TEN)
Conversions: Eithne Ní hAiliosa (3/3) 10', 35', 51' (CAL); Teodora Asolariani (0/1) (TEN)
Penalties: Eithne Ní hAiliosa (2/4) 61', 68' (CAL)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Caldia powered past the Tengarian opposition in an all round display of effortless rugby. Although Tengaria's spirited defence kept Caldia to a relatively low score line, Caldia's relatively relaxed and conservative approach to the match suggested Caldia were keeping some ideas and strategies well hidden; no doubt in preparation for the knockout rounds. Nonetheless, it was an impressive performance from the three-time champions.

Image
Hennehouwe 13 - 24 Rwizikuru
Tries: Ariana Du Toit 7' (HEN); Madeline Nsofwa 29' (RWI); Nakai Takawira 33' (RWI); Farisai Olonga 59' (RWI)
Conversions: Marana Paternoster (1/1) 8' (HEN); Joy Makwarimba (3/3) 30', 34', 60'
Penalties: Joy Makwarimba (1/2) 14' (RWI); Marana Paternoster (2/4) 28', 51' (HEN)

Sanctions: Anna Hanekom (HEN) 25' to 35'

Rwizikuru defeated Hennehouwe soundly, although the match was incredibly tight for 70 minutes - it was the ten minute period where Hennehouwe captain Anna Hanekom was in the sin bin that allowed Rwizikuru to strike, taking two tries (both converted) in that period. Nonetheless an impressive performance by Hennehouwe to keep Rwizikuru at bay with an impressive defence and scrum a crucial part of their strategy. Rwizikuru can be confident heading into their final pool match against Tengaria on the 12th.

Rizealand 34 - 10 Azmara
Tries: Olivia O'Hea 16' (RIZ); Robyn Queally 29' (RIZ); Azmaran Person 38' (AZM); Madison John 55' (RIZ); Mara Carreira Moura 66' (RIZ)
Conversions: Georgia Dempsey (4/4) 17', 30', 56', 67' (RIZ); Azmaran Person (1/1) 39' (AZM)
Penalties: Georgia Dempsey (2/4) 5', 78' (RIZ); Azmaran Person (1/1) 59' (AZM)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Rizealand thoroughly bested Azmara in this fairly unequal contest to take the victory with the bonus point. Tries from O'Hea, Queally, John and Carrerira Moura were exceptional, whilst the kicking of Georgia Dempsey proved reliable as ever. Azmara did their best, but as they didn't enter a team sheet into the WRWC, with no players other than Azmaran Person, they never really stood a chance.

Image
Satucin 19 - 20 Gaullica
Tries: Satucin Person 19' (SAT); Satucin Person 37', 50' (SAT); Violette Derocles 68' (GAL); Océane Deloffre 75' (GAL)
Conversions: Satucin Person (2/3) 20', 51' (SAT) Guillemette Deshaies (2/2) 69', 76' (GAL)
Penalties: Guillemette Deshaies (2/5) 34', 54' (GAL); Satucin Person (0/3) (SAT)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Les Diablesses were on track to become the latest team to suffer a shock defeat, trailing 19-6 after 65 minutes. However, tries from Derocles and Deloffre in the dying moments of the match secured the victory for Gaullica, who were able to best their opponents Satucin and avoid a shocking defeat.

Image
Satavia 68 - 6 Vanhar
Tries: Freya Hunter 24', 35' (STV); Mackenzie Carter 28', 58', 79' (STV); Hazel Woods 38' (STV); Elmarie Pienaar 46' (STV); Dane Blaauw 54' (STV); Wagichugu Waitherero 66' (STV); Astoria Ioane 75' (STV)
Conversions: Hazel Woods (6/6) 25', 29', 36', 39', 47', 55' (STV); Mereoni Rayawa (3/4) 59', 67', 80'
Penalties: Vanharian Fellow (2/3) 12', 32'

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

As all great teams do, ten-try Satavia bounced back from their shock defeat to Scovern with an almighty crushing victory over Vanhar. Hunter and Carter both scored multiple tries; Hunter with two early tries, and Carter with a hat trick of tries to add to her collection, in addition to the POTM award. Hazel Woods demonstrated why she is often regarded as perhaps the world's best fly-half - three try assists, not to mention the perfect 6/6 scorecard of conversions. Mereoni Rayawa replaced her in the 56th minute, and herself teed up 3/4 kicks. Vanhar were limited to three penalties, all of which occured in the first 32 minutes - although they only converted two into points. After half time, one commentator likened it to watching a professional team playing full contact rugby against a team of school children playing touch, so massive was the gulf. Vanhar's Satavian coach, Japi de Klerk, simply lamented after the loss - "perhaps we have some work to do on a few areas".

Image
Scovern 7 - 28 Garambura
Tries: Britta Lange 10' (SCO); Zanélé Mangéna 25' (GAR); Jacqueline Duhamel 47' (GAR); Fortunée Gobodo 66' (GAR); Murièle Tchweté 77' (GAR)
Conversions: Renate Anfinson (1/1) 11' (SCO); Ona Mahachi (4/4) 26', 48', 67', 78' (GAR)
Penalties: Renate Anfinson (0/3) (SCO); Ona Mahachi (0/1) (GAR)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Scovern were hoping to pull off another shock victory - alas, it was not to be. A strong Garambruan side swatted away any Scovernois opposition, and although Scovern scored first, it soon devolved into a runaway victory for Garambura. Nonetheless, however, Scovern once again proved that their defensive abilities are not to be underestimated, keeping Garambura to a relatively low points hall. They will be looking to build on the progress they have made at this WRWC, said coach Comnait Nic Giolla Chlaoin, and are looking to become major power houses in Rugby in the future.

Estmere 39 - 12 Cassier
Tries: Margot Smith 11' (EST); Kadrea Wade 20' (EST); Gabrielle Dufour 28' (CAS); Billie Hall 38' (EST); Paige Jordan 59' (EST); Maisy Morris 70' (EST); Léa Smith 80+1' (CAS)
Conversions: Millie Clarke (4/5) 12', 39', 60', 71' (EST); Gabrielle Dufour (1/2) 29' (CAS)
Penalties: Millie Clarke (1/1) 3' (EST); Amelia Hunt (1/2) 64' (EST); Gabrielle Dufour (0/3) (CAS)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Estmere were supposed to breeze past Cassier; and did so. Whilst the Voyagers gave stiff resistance, it was constant attack from the Black Widows that allowed them to keep scoring throughout the game. A last gasp of brilliance from Léa Smith served as a conciliation try for Cassier in what was otherwise a resounding defeat to their vastly superior opponents.

Image
Chistovodia 22 - 3 Senria
Tries: Menshikova Olegovna 34' (CHI); Nina Kuzmenko 56' (CHI); Krupina Dmitrievna 63' (CHI)
Conversions: Nina Kuzmenko (2/3) 35', 57' (CHI)
Penalties: Kaori Ogata (1/4) 14' (SEN); Nina Kuzmenko (1/2) 21' (CHI)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

The Dragons were thoroughly beaten by Chistovodia, who gave Senria almost zero opportunities throughout the game. They dominated possession, the breakdown, tackles and the aerial battle. Chistovodia will be disappointed not to emerge with a bonus point; three tries were disallowed by the TMO during the match. They have now qualified for the knockout stages behind Estmere, and can expect to play Caldia in the Quarter-Finals, a decidedly tougher match than the other possible match against Rwizikuru.

Image
Caldia 41 - 8 Padaratha
Tries: Catríona Ní Cheallaighe 3', 17' (CAL); Gráinne Uí hIceadh 28' (CAL); Padaratha Person 35' (PAD) Róise Ní Tuachair 52' (CAL); Ceara Nic Giolla Fhaoláin 68' (CAL)
Conversions: Eithne Ní hAiliosa (5/5) 4', 18', 29', 36', 53', 69' (PAD); Padaratha Person (0/1) (PAD)
Penalties: Padaratha Person (1/3) 11' (PAD); Eithne Ní hAiliosa (2/2) 15', 74' (CAL)

Sanctions: Some Padarathan people but the code is really tricky (I can't be asked) and they don't have names anyways so if anyone actually reads this (I'm sceptical...) you can either call me out on it or you can make up a number and say like three yellows and a red or whatever your choice I guess.

"No problems here" declared Ceara Nic Giolla Mhártain, head coach of the Crowns, after their curb stomping victory of Padaratha. A supremely dominant display by the three-time champs saw Padaratha firmly kept behind throughout the game. Other than a 35th minute line-break by Padaratha Person, Caldia's defence never cracked and was in many ways its greatest asset. They were able to take twenty penalties from Padaratha throughout the game that allowed them to keep scoring, again and again.

Image
Tengaria 6 - 13 Rwizikuru
Tries: Ruvimbo Mwayenga 76' (RWI)
Conversions: Nevaeh Burke (1/1) 77' (RWI).
Penalties: Teodora Asolariani (2/5) 13', 29' (TEN); Nevaeh Burke (2/3) 18', 23' (RWI)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red Cards given

Rwizikuru defeated (with some difficulty) Tengaria in a tense and vicious contest. It looked for all the world that the game would end in a 6-6 draw; but a late piece of brilliance by Mwayenga gave Rwizikuru five extra points (increased to seven once Burke had added the extras) and Tengaria could only look on as their hopes of escaping the pool stage vanished. The Lionesses must now await with bated breath to see if they have progressed through the knockout rounds; they most likely have, but un upset is not mathematically impossible. Watch this space.

Hacyinia 25-24 Cassier
Tries: Chloé Moreau 14' (CAS); Léa Gagnon 33' (CAS); Olivia Lambert 50' (CAS); Amara Tursun 56' (HAC); Munira Habib 68' (HAC); Samiya Tursun 74' (HAC)
Conversions: Gabrielle Dufour (3/3) 15', 34', 51' (CAS); Nazima Javadi (2/3) 57', 69' (HAC)
Penalties: Nazima Javadi (1/1) 53' (HAC); Gabrielle Dufour (1/2) 78' (CAS)
Drop Goals: Nazima Javadi (1/1) 80' (HAC)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Cassier got off well and throughout the first half looked untouchable; indeed, for the first ten of the second half they looked as if they were to run away with the game. However, a penalty goal was all Hacyinia needed to get back into it; three tries came over the course of the next twenty minutes. However, a crucial conversion got away from them. Cassier looked to have won the game right at the death with a penalty kick to take them to 22-24 with just two minutes left on the clock. But Hacyinia battled and an incredible drop goal from Nazima Javadi stole the game away for Hacyinia who took their second victory of the tournament in a real hard-fought battle and epic comeback from the jaws of defeat.

Image
Hennehouwe 14 - 0 Padaratha
Tries: Franni van der Wilk 36' (HEN); Sara van 't Hoff 55' (HEN)
Conversions: Sara van 't Hoff (2/2) 37', 56'
Penalties:

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Hennehouwe powered past Padaratha in their penultimate pool stage game. Whilst progression to the knockout stages is certainly out of reach, finishing 3rd is not impossible either - and therefore securing that sacred automatic qualification to WRWC 2027.

Image
Rizealand 10 - 8 Etruria
Tries: Libby Thompson 4' (RIZ); Olena Likhachyova 63' (RIZ); Pasta Bolognese 69' (ETR)
Conversions: Georgia Dempsey (0/2) (RIZ); Tomato Pasta (0/1) (ETR)
Penalties: Tomato Pasta (1/4) 16' (ETR)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Despite Eturia's best efforts, they were unable to secure victory against Rizealand. Rizealand leaves their final pool game with a valuable four points for the standings, which should see them qualify through to the knockout rounds. Etruria nab a losing bonus point, to take their points total to two, and will play Satucin on the 15th and hope to take a win to top off yet another disappointing campaign.

Image
Azmara 0-28 Gaullica
Tries: Émilienne Héroux 22' (GAL); Sotiriene Gueguen 37' (GAL); Iseult Le Tonnelier 55' (GAL); Ophélie Choffard 77' (GAL)
Conversions: Guillemette Deshaies (4/4) 23', 38', 56', 78' (GAL)
Penalties:

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Gaullica crusied to a crushing victory over Azmara, complete with bonus point, in their final pool game. Gaullica, now on 17 points, have qualified for the knockout stages. Without a bonus point, Azmara's chances of progressing have been eliminated - however, they could still finish 3rd and secure automatic qualification to the next WRWC, a big bonus. They have one more match to play, against Satucin.

Image
Satavia 17-8 Maucha
Tries: Janina Zakia 33' (MAU); Brooke Gordon 46' (STV); Peyton Whelan 66' (STV)
Conversions: Emma Krige (2/2) 47', 67' (STV) Annika Dahmen (0/1) (MAU)
Penalties: Emma Krige (1/2) 15' (STV); Annika Dahmen (1/3) 28' (MAU)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Satavia all but secured qualification in their final pool game against Maucha. Maucha proved a strong side, and were not an easy hurdle for Satavia to clear - they have one remaining game, against Scovern. Although Maucha lead at half time, a Satavian comeback in the second half put Maucha firmly away and secured the game for the Jaguars.

Vanhar 5-22 Garambura
Tries: Margot Marachera 14' (GAR); Linda Roatta 47' (GAR); Vanharian Lady 54' (VAN)
Conversions: Annie Rouzet (0/2) (GAR); Vanharian Lady (0/1) (VAN)
Penalties: Annie Rouzet (4/5) 4', 28', 39', 64' (GAR); Vanharian Lady (0/3) (VAN)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

In the face of determined resistance, Garambura forced their way past Vanhar 5-22. A good result for Garambura should send them straight through to the knockout rounds and, they will be hoping, beyond. Garambura have had mixed results in the Women's Rugby World Cup; a best result of third came in 2015 when Caldia hosted. Meanwhile, Vanhar will not wish to look back on the 2023 WRWC; it has, so far, been a huge disappointment for the Asterian nation. They still have one further match to play, against Scovern.

In a stunning turn of events at the Women’s Rugby World Cup, Hacyinia finds itself on the cusp of rugby history. The Hacyinian women’s rugby team, affectionately known as the Khutuluns, is set to face off against Senria in a match that could reshape the tournament’s landscape.

Entering the tournament as underdogs, Hacyinia has been on a remarkable journey of determination and resilience. They kicked off their campaign by upsetting heavy favorites and top-ranked Estmere in a jaw-dropping 28-10 victory, sending shockwaves through the rugby world. They followed it up with a nail biting 0-7 defeat against 6th-ranked Chistovodia. Despite the loss, Hacyinia managed to secure a crucial bonus point. This point could prove to be the key to their hopes of topping the pool standings.

Now, they stand on the precipice of a historic game against Senria. What makes this showdown even more captivating is the history between these two teams. Traditionally considered to be the “best amongst the rest” of the Coian teams, Hacyinia and Senria had a warm-up match just weeks before the World Cup, Hacyinia faced Senria and narrowly lost 16-18. Now Hacyinia has a chance at redemption, and with it the chance to add another chapter to what has been an exciting world cup campaign.

Currently ranked 15th in the world, Hacyinia is aiming to defy the odds and claim the top spot in Pool A. A win against Senria would not only secure their place in the knockout stages but also catapult them to the first seed in the pool – a position previously unimaginable.

Senria, ranked 17th in the world, is no pushover, and they too have shown their mettle in this tournament. This clash promises to be an intense battle between two determined teams, each striving to make their mark on the global rugby stage.

For Hacyinia, the path to victory lies in their unwavering teamwork and the incredible skills of players like Amara Tursun, Munira Habib, and Nazima Javadi. Their resilience has been on full display, especially in their nail-biting victory against Cassier.

The Hacyinian fans, both at home and those who have traveled to support their team, are filled with hope and excitement. They believe in the Khutuluns and their ability to overcome adversity. Women’s rugby is on the lips of nearly everybody in the Great Steppe nation, as millions look towards their team to produce history.

As the clock ticks down to kickoff, the rugby world is watching with bated breath. Can Hacyinia pull off another miraculous victory and secure their place at the top of Pool A? Will they continue to be the Cinderella story of this tournament?

One thing is for sure: this match between Hacyinia and Senria will be remembered as a pivotal moment in the history of women’s rugby. The Khutuluns are ready to make their mark, and the world is waiting to witness their next triumph.

Stay tuned for what promises to be an unforgettable clash between two determined teams, as Hacyinia aims to upset the rankings and secure their place among the rugby elite. Friday 15 September - Match Day results

Hacyinia 14-0 Senria
Tries: Farida Bazar 14' (HAC); Zarmina Sadiq 55' (HAC)
Conversions: Nazima Javadi (2/2) 15', 56' (HAC)
Penalties:

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

The Khultuns took 4 points from this slim victory over Senria to shock the world; finishing top of Pool A, ahead of hosts Estmere, and knocking out titans Chistovodia in the process. A tight game throughout, ultimately clinched by Hacyinia in what may prove to have been the most important victory in Hacyinian rugby history.

Hennehouwe 5-10 Tengaria
Tries: Anna Hanekom 4' (HEN); Sofia Eleni 59' (TEN); Sofia Acyriaci 70' (TEN)
Conversions: Marana Paternoster (0/1) (HEN); Teodora Asolariani (0/2) (TEN)
Penalties:
Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Whilst not a game that had the potential to effect the teams progressing through to the Quarter-Finals, Tengaria's victory over Hennehouwe promotes them to third in their group table; and consequently, Tengaria will now qualify automatically for the next WRWC - a huge boost for any team. A kicking disaster-class from both sides in inclement weather kept the game close, and ultimately a late comeback for Tengaria won the match.

Satucin 6-6 Etruria
Tries:
Conversions:
Penalties:

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Yous don't get a description. No roster = no description. I doubt you'll even look at this. If you do, congrats! Your teams suck!!!!!!!

Scovern 8-17 Maucha
Tries: Andisiwe Joyi 13' (MAU); Emmy Ellmenreich 36', 74' (MAU); Agnes Mølgaard 44' (SCO)
Conversions: Annika Dahmen (1/3) 37' (MAU); Renate Anfinson (0/1) (SCO)
Penalties: Renate Anfinson (1/3) 21' (SCO)

Sanctions: No Yellow/Red cards given

Despite their fairly lacklustre performance in this WRWC, Maucha produced the result that should have been expected. Tries from Joyi, and two from Ellmenreich, allowed Maucha to cruise past Scovern. Crucially, this victory elevates them to third in the table - thus securing automatic qualification. Additionally, this secures Satavia's place in the knockout rounds - as the two, bonus point victories from Scovern are no longer possible. Scovern do, however, have one remaining match to attempt to dislodge Maucha from third and take back that prized automatic qualification slot.
