JANUARY - Knights of the Garter (Both, Eas-ar-Muir)
We begin with a duo shot of both drivers in what could be described as the 'regal' section of BOLT's items, with both Lane and Batu seemingly going for a look that depicts them as warriors ready for battle - with a nice cape and an all-black design. Smart but also badass...a clear indication of the fight they want to put up this season.
FEBRUARY - Lane's 1st Studio Session (Eas-ar-Muir)
Each Driver got two sessions on their own in Eas-ar-Muir and this was the result of the 1st - a picture emphasising their kindness to all. It's mostly computer-generated, but the sight of the Galarian resting on a flowery hill (one that reminded him of "the old home") is certainly one that invokes a kind man - one who is happy with the opportunity granted to him.
MARCH - Batu's 1st Studio Session (Eas-ar-Muir)
Batu's 1st session went in a different direction as the Mongolian wanted to fully express just how far they had come in this journey of a career. Here they sit in a corner with a half mask, one that invokes his good friend Lam Chow-Cheung. Like Lam, Batu has been through some struggles in his life...and while he has certainly risen above those shadows, they remain visible in his life. It took a long time for him to fully appreciate his talents - and this picture perfectly represents the shadows of the past.
APRIL - Lane In The Wild, Part 1 (Portside)
The middle section of this calendar features both drivers in their hometowns showing off the many wares that BOLT can provide - starting with Lane in his adopted home city of Portside. Here, we see the Galarian enjoying a pint at his local pub (The Lost Anchor Bar) wearing some casual clothing that would expect in this sort of place. In good times and bad, this place is his reflection zone - and it certainly shows.
MAY - Batu In The Wild, Part 1 (Shinebaishin)
Our first look into Shinebaishin sees the WGP2 Champion in his natural environment - lounging on the sofa in his apartment in a BOLT onesie (bodysuit for sleeping) that is patterned with silver crowns. The relaxing smile he gives off shows that he is one in his element - ready to enjoy this well-earned break without a bother in the world.
JUNE - Lane In The Wild, Part 2 (Portside)
The family connection is strong here as this is a shot from Lane's apartment featuring all Three Carters - Lane, Prince and Jester. All three have represented their adopted homeland with pride but here, they are showing off some Galarian flair in this as well. Their hometown in Galar would be seen as Scottish by the TJUN-ian public and so, they appear here in traditional Galarian kilts and a Pokéball each. This can also link to Lane's work as a partner for the Pokéverse Integration Society, an NGO that both Prince and Jester have become ambassadors for since their retirements.
JULY - Batu In The Wild, Part 2 (Shinebaishin)
Batu is more about friends in this piece, taken in a photo booth with his two best friends - Lam Chow-Cheung and two-time ECC Champion Tshering Gyeltshen. They connected through a group chat during the long break between WGPC seasons and while Lam and Tshering also have NSSCRA matters to deal with, you know full well that they will be cheering Batu on from afar.
AUGUST - Lane In The Wild, Part 3 (Portside)
There was a bit of debate on Lane's part on what exactly he would like for this final 'In The Wild' Picture, but he decided to do one of his favourite activities - watching the moon in the Bay of Peace on a beautiful Portside evening. The flash helped highlight both the beautiful scenery and the black jacket that the Galarian was wearing - both badass and sexy to those who like this sort of thing.
SEPTEMBER - Batu In The Wild, Part 3 (Shinebaishin)
As someone with Buddhist values in his heart, Batu certainly appreciated the calming effect that meditation can have...and so he ended with this act, on a self-made platform in the middle of nowhere. It is here where he claims to be "at peace with himself the most" and you can certainly see that here - the candles certainly add to it as well.
OCTOBER - Lane's 2nd Studio Session (Eas-ar-Muir)
While Session 1 focused on kindness, Session 2 focused on him...and him alone. Just a simple pose, waving hello to the camera in casual clothing, but one that told a lot about their simplicity as a person and their uncomplicated nature. They are just a kind man who simply wanted to make people smile - and that's all you could really ask from a racing driver outside their car.
NOVEMBER - Batu's 2nd Studio Session (Eas-ar-Muir)
Batu's confidence has gotten better and better since he joined Scuderia Orange Cow, which was made all the more clear in their run to the title in both WGP2 as and Longhorn in 'Who Sung It?'. This time, Longhorn makes their return with a simple idea - a rose grasped in both hands, looking straight down at the camera. It felt like a memorial to that run - but also as a funeral to the old Batu, the one who hid their nature from the world for fear of how they would feel.
DECEMBER - Party Time! (Both, Eas-ar-Muir)
Party Season is in full swing and here, we have both drivers here ending this calendar with winks and smiles in the smartest attire BOLT could provide for the shoot. Lane is in a black suit with a black headband while Batu wore a sparking suit with a staff in hand. They seem ready to let loose in the festivities - which could also be seen as a sign of preparedness for the season ahead.

Subject: Private Test with GPA Pryfors Bilar
Dear Cocoabo #23 and Anneliese Devereux,
Grand Prix Auto Pryfors Bilar is pleased to let you know that you are shortlisted for a private test to assess our choice for the open driver spot in our team. Like in the private test of the previous season, attached is the details and logistics of the event, which will take place in the Pryfors Bilar Headquarters in Pryfurium, Diarcesia. In the interest of transparency, we already have a driver that we prefer to sign a contract with. However, the situation around it changes at a fast pace and there is a chance that the negotiations will fail. This private test invitation will be a contingency in this scenario.
If you are interested in participating in this private test, please reply back and inform us of your availability. We look forward to meeting with you.
Sincerely,
Aldauren

TESTS GALORE
EMMERICH - Sources close to drivers Dario Nülkeschläger and Nepö Kinder are confident that they will be involved in upcoming WGPC tests for two separate teams, the Herald has heard.
While the identity of the teams are unknown as of yet, the Herald can confirm that the tests may be taking place at the facilities of either UrGa, Pryfors Bilar, Tropicorp-Colourworks, or a private test at the factory of a former WGPC outfit. The latter, whilst unlikely, was previously mooted by the Herald as a potential constructor to enter this season’s championship, with their entry falling through as a result of technical and financial difficulties. Furthermore, whilst other interested parties have kept a close eye on the Hülkenberger duo, they are said to have decided on different candidates.
Upon learning of this rumour, many of Hülkenberg’s most outspoken enthusiasts had their own, varied opinions. At the Herald, we promise to only give you the opinions that make us the most money and matter to us and us only, such as this one. “Whichever teams are after these two are in for an absolute treat.” said former HMG Head of Development Jöhan Turbringer. “When it comes to a great mix of youthful energy and pace, much like Pressley’s McCreary, you simply cannot look past Nepö. She’s an absolute dream to work with, and that’s because she just gets it. You never get a blank face from that girl, nothing goes in one ear and out through the other, she just takes everything into account. Ultimately, just an all-round great choice, no matter the constructor.” Turbringer would go on to wax lyrical about Nülkeschläger’s chances: “[Dario] has his merits, absolutely. At his age, with his insights, and at his level of experience - well, two seasons worth - he should be a great asset, no matter the stature or indeed size of team.”
Having heard Turbringer’s take on things, we made sure to consult the Herald’s newly-appointed motorsports correspondent, the Magic 8-Ball. Following on from their slightly pessimistic take on things in the last article, the ball seemed much more tight-lipped (optimistic?), with a swift and sharp “ASK AGAIN LATER”. Unfortunately, a particularly annoyed and ungrateful intern at the Herald chose to lob Magic at the wall, and thus the ball is currently in hospital. We send Magic 8-Ball the best of wishes in their recovery, and hope they’re still able to provide their valued opinions to us in future. In the meantime, you’ll just have to settle with the facts - those of course being that Nülkeschläger and Kinder will be testing with someone, somewhere, at sometime soon.
Think you know where? Think you know more than the Herald? You’re absolutely fucking wrong, but you’re more than welcome to email us your suggestions at Motorsports@TheHerald.hb. If they end up being correct, you (yes, YOU!) could find yourself sitting in our offices. Wouldn’t that… show more content

:: Tiones Lumber Lumberjack Challenge ::
Zone 1: Chopping & Cutting
There will be 3 distinct events available in Zone 1, the Standing Chop, the Firewood Split and the Saw-Through Cut.
Standing Chop: Tool: Standard Axe :: In the Standing Chop Challenge, competitors can be scored in two different categories: Time and Number of Chops. A single 12 inch diameter log will be stood vertically and the competitor will be tasked with chopping through until the log is severed. Competitive times are expected to be under 20 seconds. All contestants are required to wear chain mail protection from the waste down to protect against injury from errant chops.
Firewood Split: Tool: Standard Axe :: Like the Standing Chop, there are two separate criteria used to grade the Firewood Split. Contestants will have 45 seconds to split. as many firewood segments as they can. The first 10 segments will be pre-staged and the contestant will be timed in completion of the first 10 successful splits. Should they have time remaining on the clock after the 10th split they will be tasked with resetting and further chopping segments until time runs out. Winners will be declared both on speed and number of splits made. All contestants are required to wear chain mail protection from the waste down to protect against injury from errant chops.
Saw-Through Cut: Tool: One-man Bucking Saw :: Contestants will saw through an elevated, horizontal log with a 20 inch diameter using a one-man bucking saw. Competitive times are expected to be below 15 seconds.
Zone 2: Climbing
The Climbing zone will see three identical Climbing Challenge stations to allow multiple contestants to attempt the event at the same time.
The event consists of a 20 meter tall vertical log which the contestant must after starting from a position with both feet on the ground, climb and bypass the 18 meter mark. Contestants will have spurred climbers on their feet and steel-cored climbing ropes. Several safety precautions are taken in the event. A support pole next to the designated climbing log will support a belay rope system managed by event staff. Time will stop once the contestant reaches the 18 meter mark on the vertical log and the contestant will not be timed on the way back from the top of the climbing log to return to the ground. Competitive times are expected to be below 13 seconds.
Zone 3: Log Rolling
A new addition, the Log Rolling competition will take place in water. Multiple floating logs will stretch from one end of the log pool to the other with a dry dock on either side. Contestants will be timed on crossing the pool twice - or from the starting dock to the opposite dock, then back to the starting dock. If the competitor falls into the water they are permitted one attempt to re-mount the log and continue their run. If the contestant should fall a second time their run will be ended and they will be given credit for the number of total logs they have traversed.
Zone 4: Team Events
Team Saw-Through Cut: Tool: Two-man Bucking Saw :: Contestants will saw through an elevated, horizontal log with a 20 inch diameter using a two-man bucking saw. Competitive times are expected to be below 7 seconds.
Team Log Rolling: Multiple floating logs will stretch from one end of the log pool to the other with a dry dock on either side. Contestants will be timed on crossing the pool twice. Two team members will start on opposite sides of the pool and will have to traverse from their starting dock to the opposite dock and back resulting in two 'passes' where teammates will have to bypass each other on the same log. Contestants must bypass each other on the logs and can not use the docks or the water to complete a bypass. If the competitor falls into the water they are permitted one attempt to re-mount the log and continue their run. If a team suffers a total of three combined falls their run will be ended and they will be given credit for the number of total logs the least advanced competitior has traversed. Time will be stopped once the second of the two team competitors has returned to their starting dock.
Zone 5: Family Zone
The non-competitive family zone will feature learning zones where Firewood Splitting techniques will be taught; three single-log rolling pools including one with a picture zone where the log can be locked into place for an individual or family to pose for photos, two 7 meter climbing logs, a firewood stacking challenge area and a special tree planting zone that teaches youngsters and parents alike the value of Tiones Lumber's Renewable Lumber Operations.

Dear Mr. Ginintella,
I'm happy to hear from GPA Pryfors Bilar.
After being released by Bitten Heroes, I am a Free Agent for all intents and purposes, interested and searching for a new seat for the season. That said, I duly noted your interest and the question about the preferred driver signup and the contingency testing. If the circumstances of my search for a seat converge with that of your search for a driver, then I'd be much happy to join GPA Pryfors Bilar. So, I accept your invitation to this testing session.
Warmest regards,

Subject: Consideration of Olivia Stone for Scuderia Orange Cow
Dear Sir or Madam,
I send this message to highlight Olivia Stone’s suitability for a position at Scuderia Orange Cow for the coming season. Olivia Stone is a proven WGPC driver and race-winner, as well as a major challenger for the WGP2 III Drivers’ Championship. I am hopeful that you are aware of the ongoing crisis of awareness that has recently struck the people of the Nexus Wardship and that this will be considered in the evaluation of Olivia’s performance from her last season. It bears noting that her last race before she lost awareness was her victory at Crossbay Circuit last season.
More importantly, Olivia Stone and I both have extensive experience in working within, building and adapting alongside new and growing teams. Having played an instrumental role in the University of the Second City Challenge’s victory in the third-tier WGPi series, Olivia and I were also integral to Viska’s own transition from WGP2 to WGPC. Thus, we believe that we are ideally suited to support Scuderia Orange Cow in its own, similar transition.
As such, I would request that you consider Olivia Stone for a seat at Scuderia Orange Cow; if you have an upcoming test, I would similarly request the opportunity for her to demonstrate her talent by participating. We hope that the results might be to the benefit of us both, and the beginning of a journey together.
I eagerly await your reply.
With thanks,

Subject: Consideration of Olivia Stone for Tropicorp-Colorworks
Dear Edvin Pekkanen,
I am Baxen Aurora, race engineer to Olivia Stone, on whose behalf I am sending this message. I hope that you will forgive my directness in contacting you and that you will understand from what is laid out below that it is appropriate in this specific case.
By this point, you may be aware of the situation in the Nexus Wardship, namely a loss of awareness that it has only recently been realised has affected the whole of the Nimban population, without apparent cause. This has caused significant disruption across the Wardship and can be confirmed in any major Wardship news outlet. Most significantly for Olivia, she and I only regained awareness this morning, to the discovery that her seat at Viska Racing had been replaced, for which we bear them no ill will.
Both Olivia and I are determined to see this as an opportunity as much as it is a loss; it is for this reason that I am contacting you. We are aware that this is similarly a time of transition for Tropicorp; it is this that I believe makes Olivia Stone uniquely suited to a seat with you for the coming season. Olivia and I have disproportionate experience in building and working with teams in transition. Our efforts were instrumental in building the University of the Second City Challenge Team in the third-tier WGPi, in which we achieved first and second in the Drivers’ Championship and first in the Constructors’ Championship. We then challenged for both Championships in Viska’s inaugural WGP2 season, before supporting the team’s transition to WGPC. For a relative newcomer to WGP racing, Olivia is thus extremely well-suited to supporting Tropicorp’s racing team in its current situation and adapting as it enters its next phase of life.
Olivia Stone is also a proven WGPC race winner and on her day is among the fastest and most dynamic drivers of a WGPC field. It bears noting that Olivia’s last race before she lost awareness was her victory at Crossbay Circuit last season, and I hope that both this and her subsequent lack of awareness will be accounted for in evaluating her overall ability. Being only in her third year, she will only be in a position to grow in her talent under Tropicorp’s watch; moreover, should she be judged able in her role and stay on in the seat, she would be able to provide continuity to Tropicorp in future years.
Given all of the above, I would request that you consider Olivia Stone for a seat at Tropicorp; if you have an upcoming test, I would similarly request the opportunity for her to demonstrate the talent that I have described by participating. We hope that the results might be to the benefit of us both, and the beginning of a journey together.
I eagerly await your reply.
With thanks,
