Season 20 signup thread
Open signups
DRIVERS | TEAMS & ENGINES | TYRE MANUFACTURERS | CIRCUITS

Welcome to the signup thread for the 20th season of the World Grand Prix Championship. We are currently in the two-week opening signup phase; signups for drivers remain open through the season.
Signups are open for drivers (open indefinitely) and circuits (until May 14th). The RP thread is scheduled to open on May 7th, once all teams have been confirmed.

If you are new to WGPC, the series is the NationStates analog of Formula 1 — with some creative liberties. It's meant to be equally enthralling for the motorsport purist as for the casual fan; write about the intricacies of your driver's push laps during qualifying, or focus on the grander ups-and-downs of life as a Grand Prix driver: it's up to you! Have a look at last season and season 18's RP threads for a glimpse of what to expect of the coming season.

To signup a driver, circuit, or team to the coming season, read the information below and fill in one of the signup forms. Everything you need to know is written below. Don't hesitate to ask for help if anything seems daunting, confusing, or unintuitive, the hosts (Tumbra and yours truly) and the WGPC community at large are always here, or in the general WGPC OOC Discussion Thread, to help.

Puppeteers: remember to declare your puppet nations if you choose to sign up with them.

DRIVERS

Every user may sign up a maximum of FOUR drivers – no more than TWO per nation. Every driver starts off as a free agent, meaning they are not affiliated to any team. Drivers sign up to teams via roleplay in the RP thread. Though it's commonplace for deals and agreements to be arranged through telegrams or via off-site mediums such as Discord, we strongly urge you to roleplay your way through the signup period. It's more fun, adds to the liveliness of the signing period, and you earn bonus to boot!

The more RPing you do with your driver, the higher your RP bonus. The higher your RP bonus, the faster your driver is likely to be on the circuit, the safer they are likely to be on the circuit, and the more likely a team is to sign them.

To sign up a driver, fill in the following form:
Code: Select all
Driver Name:
Name Trigram:
Nationality Trigram:
Preferred Car Number:
Second Choice Car Number:
Reliability (Between 2 and 5):
Aggression (Between 2 and 5):
Technique (Between 2 and 5):
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Driver's bio:

DRIVER NAME is the full name of the driver.
NAME TRIGRAM is the trigram that usually represents the driver's surname. A trigram is a set of three letters that represent a larger word. For example, a driver named Alexander Lund's trigram could be 'LUN' or 'LND', but probably not 'ALU' or 'ALN' because both of those examples use a letter from the driver's first name. It's the surname which is important. We’ll only allow you to use a letter from the driver’s first name if there are two drivers with the same surname, or if a driver typically goes by three names.
NATIONALITY TRIGRAM should be the trigram for your nation. It should be three letters. This is NOT the trigram for the driver's name.
PREFERRED CAR NUMBER is your driver's preferred car number. This can be any number between 3 and 99. 1 is reserved for the current driver's champion. 2 is only available to the champion's team-mate should they so choose.
SECOND CHOICE CAR NUMBER is your second choice for your driver’s car number. In the event that two drivers choose the same number, the season host will assign car numbers.
RELIABILITY, AGGRESSION and TECHNIQUE: Aggressive drivers are better at overtaking, while technical drivers are better at traversing the multiverse's more difficult circuits. Each attribute should be given a numerical number between 2 and 5 and the three ratings must add up to a maximum of twelve.
BIO is a short biography of your driver. His/her/their age, experience, hopes and aspirations, driving style, favourite sandwich, things like that.

CIRCUITS/RACES

Each user may sign up a maximum of TWO grand prix circuits, and no more than one per nation (meaning one circuit from your main nation and one from a puppet is fine). If signing up two circuits, the nation entering the second circuit must have previously participated in the WGPC (not WGP2) with a driver, team, or circuit. Signing up a circuit is not a guarantee that it will be used in the upcoming WGPC season. Spare circuits may be used for pre-season or in-season testing.

Keep your circuits below 7km in length, and try to avoid overly long (re: 2km) straights, as per real-life regulations (that's it for realism; we won't be strict with runoff, safety features, or anything of the sort).

It is customary to provide an image of your circuit (no larger than 900 x 900 pixels, of course). Circuits with no image, as well as ovals and real-life circuits, will not be considered for selection.

To sign up a circuit, fill in the following form:
Code: Select all
Circuit Name:
Grand Prix Name:
Track Image:
Lap Record (F1/WGPC Car): (min:ss.000)
Track Length (km):
Qualifying Type (Traditional, One-Shot, Elimination or Two-Tiered):
Chance of rain (1%-20%):
Track aggressiveness (1-10):
Track technicality (1-10):
(Aggressiveness and technicality should add up to 10)
Overtaking Difficulty (0.1 - 5. 0.1 is easy, 5 is difficult):
Margin for error (0.1 - 5. 0.1 is forgiving, 5 is treacherous):
Info:

CIRCUIT NAME is the name of the track, e.g. Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, Monza, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, or Spa-Francorchamps. You don't have to use a full name.
GRAND PRIX NAME is the name of the race, e.g. Belgian Grand Prix, Singapore Grand Prix, or Gran Premio de España.
TRACK IMAGE is a link to an image of the track, hosted externally on photobucket or imgur or a similar service. Signups with no track image will be invalid.
LAP RECORD is the fastest lap recorded on the circuit in a WGPC (F1)-spec car.
TRACK LENGTH is the length of one lap, in kilometres. Avoid extraordinarily long or short tracks.
QUALIFYING TYPE: There are four choices. TRADITIONAL: 90 minutes long, cars set up to 10 laps with the quickest lap counting. ONE-SHOT: Each car gets one lap, and no more, to set a time. No more than one race will be run using one shot qualifying. ELIMINATION and TWO-TIERED: In both these formats, cars set times over three or two sessions, with the slowest cars after each session taking no further part in qualifying.
CHANCE OF RAIN: Percentage chance of an event being wet. This number should be between 1 and 20. 1 means there will be a 1% chance of a wet race and 1.5% chance of a 'changeable' race. 20% means there will be a 20% chance of a wet race and a 30% chance of a 'changeable' race. Use 5% as an average.
TRACK AGGRESSIVENESS/TECHNICALITY: Aggressive circuits are wide with plenty of opportunities to overtake. The second value is Technical Difficulty. A track with a high TD rating suits more technically skilled drivers, and the circuit may be more difficult to overtake on. The numbers should add up to ten.
OVERTAKING DIFFICULTY is how difficult it is for a driver to overtake another on the circuit. A 5 means overtaking is difficult, a 0.1 means overtaking is easy. 2.5 is about average.
MARGIN FOR ERROR denotes how severely mistakes can be punished. A 0.1 means the track is forgiving - a driver won’t lose too much time if they spin. A 5 means mistakes are punished more severely. 2 is average for a regular circuit. A true street circuit would be more technical.
INFO: Track information/description.

TEAMS & ENGINES

Team signups will be semi-open for WGPC20. The top 3 teams from WGPC19 and the reigning WGP2 season 5 champion, accounting for existing nations only, will be automatically invited to join the grid. The rest of the team slots will be assigned via signup, with a slight preference given towards returning, active users. As in previous seasons, a WGPC Motorworks team may be created as a last resort, in case there is a lack of team signups for the list of available drivers; the hosts give a strong preference to user-led teams in lieu of hosting a Motorworks outfit.

Teams with a previous history in WGPC will also be eligible to sign up an engine, which may be offered to new teams on an opt-in basis. This is meant to emulate RL engine supplier dynamics. There will be no spec engine available to teams; all outfits must select an engine from a user-led team.

Dual nationality teams are allowed and, provided you have a solid partner, encouraged!

To sign up a team, fill in the following form:
Code: Select all
Team Name:
Shortened name/acronym (if applicable):
Team color:
Nationality Trigram:
Reliability (Between 2 and 5):
Acceleration (Between 2 and 5):
Turning (Between 2 and 5):
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Engine supplier? Y/N:
Team bio:
TEAM NAME is... the name of the team (e.g. McLaren, Sauber F1, Red Bull Racing, etc.)
SHORTENED NAME/ACRONYM is an optional field. Fill this out just in case if your team name is particularly long (more than 25 characters).
TEAM COLOR is the hexadecimal color code for your team. You can provide alternate shades in case there is a clash with another team.
NATIONALITY TRIGRAM is a three-letter identifier for your nation. If your team is dual nationality, combine both trigrams into one.
RELIABILITY, ACCELERATION and TURNING are the main stats for your team. Reliable cars are less prone to mechanical issues or failures; cars high on Acceleration excel on Aggressive tracks, while cars better tuned to the Turning stat will benefit from technical circuits.
BIO is a short description of your team. Who founded it, and when? What's its previous history? Maybe it's a rich man's passion project, a state owned program to prove your country's technological prowess, or a team with a renowned sporting heritage ready to make the jump into the top tier of motorsport.

If your team has participated in WGPC (not WGP2) before, please fill out the engine form below, regardless whether your team would like to supply engines to other teams or not:
Code: Select all
Engine name/manufacturer:
Monogram (single letter identifier):
Nationality Trigram:
Reliability (Between -1 and 1):
Actuation (Between -1 and 1):
Tare (Between -1 and 1):
R/A/T ratings should sum up to 0.
Bio (optional):
ENGINE NAME/MANUFACTURER is the name of your engine. (e.g. Cosworth, Mercedes, Mecachrome, or Red Bull Powertrain)
NATIONALITY TRIGRAM is a three-letter identifier for your nation. If your engine manufacturer is dual nationality, combine both trigrams into one.
RELIABILITY, ACTUATION and TARE are the main stats for your engine. Reliable engines will be less prone to exploding catastrophically and sinking an entire continent; engines high on Actuation will be better at top speed and acceleration, while engines high on Tare will favor handling and weight distribution, for an advantage on technical tracks.
BIO is a short description of your team. Who founded it, and when? What's its previous history? Maybe it's a rich man's passion project, a state owned program to prove your country's technological prowess, or a team with a renowned sporting heritage ready to make the jump into the top tier of motorsport.

TYRE MANUFACTURERS

The hosts will select between two and four tyre manufacturers for the coming season, from which all accepted teams will select their supplier. Each user may enter up to ONE tyre manufacturer. There will be no spec tyre option available to teams; all teams must select a tyre manufacturer from the list of accepted user submissions.

To sign up a tyre manufacturer, fill in the following form:
Code: Select all
Manufacturer Name:
Manufacturer Nationality Trigram:
Reliability (Between -1 and 1):
Traction (Between -1 and 1):
R & T ratings should sum up to 0.
MANUFACTURER NAME is the name of the company producing the tyres (e.g. Bridgestone, Michelin, etc).
MANUFACTURER NATIONALITY TRIGRAM should be the trigram for your nation. It should be three letters.
RELIABILITY and TRACTION determine the characteristics of your tyre: how quickly it may degrade, and how much traction it provides a car. Each attribute must be a number between negative 1 and 1, and the two must add up to a maximum of zero.

Full technical IC rules can be found at the bottom of the first post of the WGPC17 signup thread.

The season will start with the Negotiation and Driver Signing Period which will begin on May 14th. The first week of the Negotiation and Driver Signing Period will overlap with the third week of signups (by then, open for circuits and drivers only). The second week of the Negotiation and Driver Signing Period will overlap with the Pre-Season Testing Period.

Driver signups will remain open indefinitely.

Nationality Trigram: JON
Preferred Car Number: 76
Second Choice Car Number: 98

R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Driver's bio:

Danielle-Bugatti (Nini) Johnsilvaturr is an up-and-coming 17-year-old Bratz (it's a race) driver from Jonjastan. Boasting a repertoire of 45 Jonjastani Mario Kart Bowls across 6 years, Johnsilvaturr is a force to be reckoned with. To prepare for a transition into actual car racing, Johnsilvaturr has practiced simulation racing in real-time conditions for the past 56 hours. Driving cars as a career might be a foreign concept, but Johnsilvaturr is eager to change that. Johnsilvaturr hopes to be the most successful Bratz in Jonjastan after they were humiliated by the k-pop stans in the Riot of Icespicia which stemmed from a Bratz being the worst driver in Jonjastani history.

Johnsilvaturr has released a mixtape called "I Am These Heaux", a smash hit in Jonjastan. Her favourite drink is orange juice laced with aloe vera, while she has an irrational fear of a huge crowd.

Since then, he has set his sights on driving and competing in the WGPC. He got his father to sponsor races in United Adaikes and has won all of them. However, this just sparked controversy in the nation because of rumors of match-fixing. To put stories to rest, with Aaron turning recently of age, Aaron decided it was time to race in the WGPC.

He was a test driver for Viska Racing in WGPC 19 and one of the drivers of the Viska/White Unicorns team in WGP2 5. In WGP2 5, Deering finished tied in third, bringing the Viska/White Unicorns team also in third place for the WGP2 Constructors Championship. Will this be enough to prove Deering is ready for WGPC?

Driver's bio: R.L. Cruisin is an experienced WGPC veteran who holds the all time record for most Grand Prix starts. Cruisin famously got their start at the top level of World Grand Prix motorsports on the Vilita & Turori Motorsports team as the 'other' car during Stang Crax World Grand Prix title season during WGPC 11. While Cruisin would claim their share of podium finishes during the season, it was Crax who would take home the title for Vilita & Turori. Cruisin was elevated to the primary seat during WGPC 12 as Crax left the team, but suffered a drop in the standings, from 4th down to 9th place and a best finish of 3rd place at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course before the team went on a hiatus from WGPC vehicle production and its older vehicles fell out of spec. Cruisin became a journeyman driver joining forces with teams such as Frontiere Racing, Carvenlo-Franklin racing, Arada GP and most recently MSA-SinVal. During six prior seasons of competition, Cruisin has recorded four victories, thirteen podium finishes and collected points in 33 events. After failing to win any races during WGPC 15 with Arada GP, Cruisin stunned the racing world by taking the Checkered flag at the Grand Prix of Turori in the penultimate round of WGPC 16 in a woefully under-powered MSA-SinVal machine. The victory restored sponsors confidence in one of the most recognizable names on the World Grand Prix Circuit as well as inspiring Cruisin to take one more run at a Drivers Championship. Cruisin has a strong following in Vilita and is likely able to attract corporate support from a vast number of Vilitan affiliated entities.

Driver's bio: Turori's most famed motorsports personality, Toralmintii is considered by many to be one of the best WGPC drivers to never win a World Title. Previously, riding the wave of popularity following his triumph as champion of the International Super Formula Championship, Toralmintii was instrumental in getting the Eelandii Grand Prix Circuit added to the World Grand Prix Championship calendar. Toralmintii, who designed the course as well as the Grand Prix modifications to the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course in Vilita, the legendary Turorian had a career defining season during World Grand Prix Championship 14 and came home second in the final driver standings behind only his Vilita & Turori Motorsports teammate Terho Talvela. After retiring to serve as Team Principle for WGPC Eelandii during WGPC Season 16, Toralmintii made a surprise return to the drivers seat in the finale of WGPC 16 picking up an impressive 4th place result for Tropicorp Racing Aelund.

This ignited the spark in Toralmintii who signed on to drive full time for TRAE during WGPC Season 17 where the Turorian driver set an all time record for Consecutive race victories though once again narrowly missed out on the Championship to Abovian teammate Terho Talvela, and wouldn't actually be able to win the championship until Talvela retired.

Info: The Eelandii Grand Prix was held for the first time during WGPC 13. The Eelandii Grand Prix Course opened just prior to WGPC 12 and held an official test session during WGPC 12 that served as a predecessor the the courses inclusion on the official schedule one season later. The venue has see-sawed between a sanctioned race weekend and a mid-season test event. The Grand Prix of Turori returned to the World Grand Prix Championship schedule for its 16th season.

Eelandii, an officially unrecognized city according to the official map of Turori, is located between the capital of Almintora and the center of sport in Cednia. The city was stood up prior to the World Cup 63 Finals hosted in Turori with the creation of a brand new state of the art sporting complex for football and athletics known as Eels Park. Looking to expand Eelandii's reputation as a 'center of sport' for the Island Emirate, the Eelandii Grand Prix circuit broke ground following the completion of the World Cup 63 finals in the shadows of Eels Park, the home of the Turori National Association Football team. The racing surface transitions from Street to purpose-built racing track to tarmac as drivers navigate the center of Eelandii.

Team bio: Former from remnants of the split following WGPC Season 14, operated for two seasons as the WGPC Eelandii Motorworks and governed by the charter they inherited from the WGPC Motorworks team without independant corporate backing to invest in research and development and only a break-even level of funding to put together mid-pack level competitive race vehicles using seasons-old equipment. The team re-branded for WGPC 17, building a new chassis and picking up a new lineup of sponsors to inject much needed funding to enable the technological advancements. The team would earn a Pole Position during WGPC 17 from Rustom Ibuna. It was a new lineup for the team in WGPC 18 when Rustom Ibuna left to Badai Angin Tim and the team would bring in Veteran R.L. Cruisin and newcomer Lane Carter of TJUN-ua. Things got off to a perfect start at home to open up the season when Cruisin bested favorite iBen Toralmintii to claim victory, Race Eelandii's first and first on their home track. For WGPC 19 the team continued to improve with Carter and posted a Top 5 Finish in the Constructors Standings.

Rudy Edwards returns to the World Grand Prix Championship again this season, excited and refreshed after a frustrating WGPC campaign a year ago, where he not only was unable to improve on his position from the year before, but it seemed like he never got out of the blocks the way he would have liked. Many of those problems were due to mental health issues and self-doubt, but Rudy hopes the extended layoff has allowed him to refocus himself. Edwards is expected to re-sign with Preston Autos, and has become the face of single-seater open wheel racing in Hapilopper, a discipline of motorsport that has seen a resurgence in popularity after political wrangling all but killed it a number of years ago.

Team bio:
Preston Autos Grand Prix Racing, as the name suggests, is the WGPC operation of the Preston Automobile Company, Hapilopper's largest automaker. Several years ago, the team was built from the ground up by Marty Lewis, the automaker's former go-to guy for their stock car teams. The assignment, seen by some as a "sink or swim" test for Lewis, who had been known for his wild partying and his tendency to tip the bottle far more than Preston would have liked, took the assignment with relish and built a team of sprint car and open wheel mechanics to compete with the rest of the Grand Prix world. And they succeeded - finishing 4th in their first season and 3rd last season, the team has been in the hunt from day one.

The team will resume its partnership with Good Motor Oil this season, continuing perhaps the most visible sponsor-team partnership in international motorsport - owing largely to the "GET GOOD!" slogan on the back of the rear wings of the Prestons, a slogan that has entertained fans and vexed rivals. The team will also likely lean on a technical partnership with corporate partners Team Blue, a standout team owned by Preston Autos that competes in NSSCRA, HASCAR and AOCAR. Both teams are expected to benefit from the technical partnership, which will provide personnel to Preston Grand Prix and provide aerodynamic assistance to Team Blue.

Bio:
The Skychief V6 is the stock block V6 engine supplied by Preston Autos for the World Grand Prix Championship. Constructed by Preston Performance Products' racing division, the engine, as the name would suggest, is based on the V6 engine produced for the Preston Skychief road car, the brand's standard passenger car. While some teams may rely on high-tech solutions using neural networks and imagination, or powerful purpose-built throughbred options, Preston Autos boasts an engine that can produce that same power at a fraction of the cost of higher-tech options. And in this world of modern-day motorsports, when race teams are trying to maximize their dollar to get the most performance out of their vehicle, the Skychief V6 may be your best option. By utilizing the Skychief stock block, a team will be able to spend their budget on signing top-flight drivers or on producing a better race car, rather than having to worry about gaining an extra two or three horsepower. In WGPC spec, based on the boost levels, the Skychief V6 will produce between 800-1,200 horsepower.

The engine is a 3.43 liter, 209 cubic inch V6 engine powered with a single turbocharger, and built by the engine staff of Preston Performance Products. Unlike other engine options, the Skychief V6 revs lower and provides more torque than other WGPC engines, allowing a driver to accelerate quicker out of the corners than with other options. Should you choose the Skychief V6 as your engine option, you will not only receive an engine lease for two race cars for a season, but you will also receive technical support from Preston Autos personnel throughout the season at no additional cost. The staff will be more than happy to assist you for your every need related to the Skychief V6, from installing the engine in your vehicle to providing assistance in the event of an engine problem.

Info:
The Hapilopper City Grand Prix Circuit is located on the western outskirts of Hapilopper City, actually located in the nearby suburb of Paulson. The circuit was built back in the late 1990s in an effort to attract international road racing to the Dominion, and an estimated 120,000 fans are expected to fill the circuit grounds for a Grand Prix weekend, should the circuit be granted a Grand Prix. What kind of race the circuit will present depends on the weather. If Hapilopper's notoriously-finicky weather gets involved, mayhem could ensure. If not, many expect a fantastic race anyway with lots of passing opportunities and high speed ruling the day. Below is some information about the corners and portions of the track drivers will encounter.

FIRST RIGHT:
Your lap starts with First Right, a flat-out right kink leading downhill to Downhill Pass. Typically, it is not considered wise to make a passing move here, unless the trailing car has picked up a huge draft off the leading car. Expect speeds to approach 210 mph past First Right, which should give fans on the pit straight a real thrill as they see cars haul ass at top speed towards Downhill Pass.

DOWNHILL PASS:
Your first real opportunity at passing comes at Downhill Pass, a downhill left hand corner, and a possible trouble spot throughout the race. Drivers in the Hapilopper Championship Series have been known for missing their braking point and hurtling right off the track and into the neighboring sand trap. Behind Downhill Pass, fans will congregate on a viewing area hill, known as "Spectator Hill," which gives fans a great view of Downhill Pass and the McLaughlin's complex. Drivers, marshals and photographers have told stories of watching smoke from barbecues on Spectator Hill wafting across the circuit and becoming momentarily distracted by the scent of barbecue chicken and ribs.

McLAUGHLIN'S:
Named for former gentleman driver Peter McLaughlin, who competed in sports car racing across three decades in the Dominion, and the designer of this circuit, the McLaughlin's circuit consists of two uphill corners. The first one comes after a short straight following Downhill Pass, and gives drivers another opportunity to perform overtaking maneuvers. Maybe someone might want to repass whoever got by them at Downhill Pass. A short straight connects the two McLaughlin corners, which leads towards a small almost straight leading to Slidey Right.

SLIDEY RIGHT:
This corner gained its name following a rainy day a few years ago when the corner, already slick from a car blowing an engine and oiling down the track, sent car after car off the track due to virtually no traction on the track. Slidey Right is a tough corner on a dry day, a pain in the ass on a rainy day, and a bold place to make a passing move for the braves of drivers. Look for a lot of action here.

FLAT LEFT AND RIGHT:
An unofficial series of esses, Flat Left and Flat Right, as the name would suggest, are taken at full-throttle as drivers make their way to one of the most interestingly-named sections of the track. Don't expect a lot of passing on Flat Left and Right, unless the drivers involved in such a move are either a.) unspeakably brave or b.) terminally stupid. A handful of drivers have tried making passing moves either leading up to, or in the middle of, Flat Right, which have led to some horrific accidents in the past, most notably during a Hapilopper Championship Series race a few years ago when Leroy Keegan ran over the left-rear of Blake Broadbent, sending him skyward, before tumbling all the way to Oh Crap There's A Wall.

OH CRAP THERE'S A WALL:
Perhaps the most famous feature of the Hap City Grand Prix Circuit, "Oh Crap There's a Wall" is a sudden left-hand corner accompanied by an unforgiving concrete wall along the track surface. Top WGPC cars will take Flat Right at full-throttle before having to slam on the brakes for the relatively slow Oh Crap There's A Wall, taken at an estimated 80 mph. Drivers in the Hapilopper Championship Series have hit the outside wall on multiple occasions, wrecking their day and leading to increased discussions that maybe there should be a little bit of runoff just the racing surface. Either way, Oh Crap There's A Wall is a great place for a driver to make a balls-to-the-wall passing move on the braking from 180 to 80 - or less. In recent years, the Hapilopper Television Network has painted a giant red bullseye on the wall at "Oh Crap There's a Wall" for drivers to hit, as part of a controversial contest where fans can win if the driver of their choice smacks that wall.

CHICKEN BONE ALLEY:
A number of road circuits across Hapilopper (and yes, they do exist) have named perhaps the most remote part of their circuit "Chicken Bone Alley" for the cheap seats typically located there. Chicken Bone Alley on the Hap City Grand Prix Circuit is the straight between Oh Crap There's A Wall and the Triple Diamond and features grandstands on either side. Drivers in multiple racing series have accused fans in this section of the track of throwing fried chicken bones at their cars midrace. No bones were found by corner workers, but the accusation still stands.

TRIPLE DIAMOND COMPLEX:
The Triple Diamond Complex, at one point, featured a long triple-apex corner leading onto the Final Straight. However, due to concerns that this corner could allow some of the top teams to run somewhere in the neighborhood of three kilometers plus at full throttle, officials with the Grand Prix circuit made the hard decision to install a chicane between the second and third apexes of Triple Diamond. The chicane - a slow right hander in the middle of apex two - slows cars down, and again for the left-right segment leading onto Final Straight.

Viska is an independent racing team first formed by the top two Aurun automotive companies, Schkeska and VSK back in 1964 to dominate the Aurun domestic racing scene which soon branched off as its own separate entity after pressure from Schkeska and VSK's factory teams. They soon entered international motorsport by competing in WGP2 III in which they showed a strong performance along with a surprise partnership with In-Motion. Viska was eventually promoted into WGPC and while they struggled at first, they were capable of strong showings among their more experienced rivals.

They had a great season in WGPC 19 where, even with several issues, they finished fourth in the Constructors Standings with several strong performances throughout the season with two wins with one being at their home race in Akresna and scoring several other podium finishes with their talented drivers, Olivia Stone and Kinu Luminna.

Viska RG Motors or Viska Re:Genesis was a result of Viska's takeover of Schkeska's WGPC engine programme so that Viska has full control of R&D, and manufacturing of engine components. After the complete takeover at the end of WGPC 19, Viska RG sought to improve upon the existing designs to suit the team's needs without any outside intervention especially from Schkeska who had a certain reputation outside of Auruna. It is currently led by Hori Nÿkkänö, Viska WGPC Technical Director.

The engine to be used in the WGPC 20 season is an upgraded VT-160F/H-II "Kiiruja", a turbocharged V6 engine with a dual hybrid system which makes it one of the unique power packs in the series. It is essentially the same engine used in the previous season but heavily improved in certain aspects due to continuous development.

Viska RG's primarily caters to the parent Viska Racing team but is open to other customers.

Info:
Located at the Aurun hills, near the city of Akresna just north of Veratuna, is the most popular, successful, and challenging Akresna Circuit. With an altitude of about 1,350 m above sea level, the circuit is both challenging for both the drivers and cars. After the formation of the Mötoraaroitu Nazyonalla Auruna (MNA), this is one of the circuits that are now government owned and it was saved from closure by the MNA and it is one of the Viska Racing test tracks due to a partnership with Schkeska Motors. First built in 1956, the track features a wide variety of elevation changes and corners, also featuring the Akresna Tunnel that goes down though a hill (Although it is not used in the International Layout). With decent run-off areas and one of the best facilities in Auruna, the circuit is one of the best in Auruna and is a part of the Aurun Trinity Circuits. It has become the MNA's premier circuit for WGPC.

Track Tour:
Akresna starts off with the start/finish straight followed by a heavy braking zone to Turn 1, Valantov, then a fast Turn 2 that goes uphill. Turns 3 continues the uphill climb where Sector 2 starts at the exit of Turn 4. Sector 2, also called the "Hill Run", starts with a short straight to Turn 5 then, after the changes to the International Layout, immediately followed by a slightly downhill then uphill Turn 6, where an old bunker is next to, then flowing nicely into Turn 7 which heads to the Akresna Sun section where most of the pictures of the track are taken, usually at sunset and during endurance races. At Turn 8, Politov, the Akresna Tunnel is located, it is unused in the international layout. What follows is a series of uphill-downhill corners ending with Turn 12, this is the most challenging part of the circuit where oversteer and understeer are prevalent and demands good throttle control by the drivers if they make a small mistake in this section, they will end up in the barriers. Still going downhill, a straight leads on to Turn 13, Veren Ukä, which starts Sector 3, the fastest sector. The fast corners and chicanes of Turns 15, 16, 17, and 18. Cars go though this section flat-out and at this area is where most of the grandstands are located. Drivers usually get caught out at Turns 17 and 18 where they can oversteer into the barriers and ending their race. A final heavy braking zone to the Turn 19, Kaulinta. Another fast straight followed by a fast Turn 20, Entenalla (Similar to Parabolica of Monza) that leads to the start/finish straight which then completes a lap.

Driver's bio:
A relatively new Aurun driver, he's one of Viska's drivers who quickly got into the top levels of racing. He started racing at 14 in the locat karting championships, after winning races there, he was recruited by Viska and got to race in the VJF. He had tough competition among the likes of Laura Haukanna, Rauhi Alto, and Mika Aurinen. His first season ended with him winning the championship by half a point after an intense final round in Livonsk where he did a great recovery drive to secure 5th in the race. After three years of racing in the VJF, he raced for VIska in the AEC-J, and eventually joining Aurun endurance legend, Artur Iljakov, in his debut season at the AEC. With a remarkable drive at the 24 Hours of Livonsk, the Viska trio of Artur Iljakov, Kai Ekeränna, and Kinu Luminna wins the race and the championship. He continues racing in the AEC until his accident at the 2018 8 Hours of Akresna. He spent two years recovering and returned to racing in WGPC 18 with the Motorworks team where he had some success among his competitive teammates in a weird system.

Before WGPC 18, Kinu only raced in AEC (Aurun Endurance Championship) and since then, he always had some potential. After his recovery, his changed from the cold and silent analytic to a more lively racer since the conclusion of WGPC 18.

After being given a seat by Viska Racing in WGPC 19 (a seat which two of his competitors declined), he had a successful season with the Aurun outfit where he bagged several podiums, and a pole and a win at his home race in Akresna, conquering the circuit where he had his worst accident. Eventually he finished fifth in the Drivers Standings ahead of his more experienced teammate. He became a strong performer in the end ranking among the best of the rest.

Driver's bio:
A young Aurun from Karalinne, Laura Haukanna is a natural born driver with parents who raced domestically which gave her a bit of a head start. She is skilled both on and off-road with several highlights coming from her rallying career. Her interest in racing started with watching famous Aurun rally drivers like Niko Kaukanna, Niko Kauma, and Lauri Vorlen. Witnessing their fearless and flatout driving through tight and winding gravel roads opened her eyes with excitement. Her parents did all they could to support her which then led her to take up karting at the age of 10.

It was a slow start with karting, while she was having a bit of difficulty, she managed to get ahead of her opponents. Slowly but surely she was developing her racecraft, imitating the drivers she admired - aggressive but precise. She was later recuited by Schkeska and trained by them for Junior ARC. It was finally happening.

Laura drove for Schkeska in Junior ARC alongside teammate Haru Jukkenna. The pair took win after win but Laura was ahead of Haru, eventually winning the championship then another one the next season. At the age of 18, she was promoted to Schkeska's primary ARC team and at her debut, she won the first rally in Artavena, 7 seconds ahead of her closest competitor. In her first season, she won the championship.

Things changed in 2018 where Schkeska Rally's management was hit hard after their team principal, Kuriko Lärennä left for Viska. With no one competent enough to hold the position, the team was pulled out of the ARC for two years, putting Laura in reserve and without a drive for two years. Laura's final year with Schkeska in 2020 ended badly. She was chosen by Schkeska to drive for them in the inaugural MNA E-Series that year, her chance to race again but poor management, the team only focusing on her teammate and a toxic environment caused her to announce her move to Viska near the end of the season.

Laura then competed in WGP2 IV with the Viska-backed team from Diarcesia, Pryfors Bilar-Viska/Air Kalactin where she has enjoyed success by being one of the most consistent drivers on the grid. and helped the team's rise through the standings. She has proved herself on-track where she managed 2 wins with the most memorable being her team's home race at the Elbej Historic Site Circuit.

She later made a deal with team principal Aldauren Ginintella which secured her future with Pryfors Bilar-Viska. Following the promotion of Pryfors Bilar to WGPC, she steps up to compete in the higher series, with a team that is now her second home in motorsport.

In WGPC 19, she had a great season with PB-Viska considering she was one of the rookies that graduated from WGP2 competing against other rookies especially WGP2 IV champion Heinz-Otto Junker and runner-up Janne Laukannen. While she had several poor performances, she achieved two podiums during the first half of the season including a pole in Crossbay Circuit where she would unfortunately retire. In the end, she would finish seventh in the Drivers Championship Standings and having the honour of being WGPC 19's Rookie of the Season.

OOC: Please do note that for the driver bit, a good handful of the sign-up content is copied from the previous season. The other parts, as well as the team itself, is definitely new, and I hope to do something new with it this season!

Driver Name: Zastępca Strażnika Adriana Krystal Desiree “Cudowny Manipulacja Światłem” Venus Kowalski Faith Stanisława Engelse I. Cherise Krystyna Zaborowska Sztormowska Pamela Alina Re. T. Lillian.
Driver Name short form: Adriana Ela Kowalski Lillian.
Name Trigram: AKS
Nationality Trigram: VEZ
Driver Nation: Valentine Z / De Geweldige Sierlijke Katachtige Utopia en Zijne Autonome Machten ov Valentine Z
Preferred Car Number: 40
Second Choice Car Number: 31
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 4.25
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 2.75
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 5.0
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.

Bio: A slightly smaller and younger robot that hails from the land of Poland in Valentine Z, Adriana is a multi-purpose android that is now assisting and helping Clarissa alongside with her work. She always sees Clarissa as her big sister, while Clarissa herself was very excited to work with the younger and smaller robot. All of this is attributed to Adriana's bubbly and jovial nature, as well as being carefree, full of energy, and being curious. Still, standing at 11 feet, perhaps small is relative, since Clarissa defaults out to 20 feet (though at times, she could go as small as 8 feet, or even smaller). Having been participated in WGP2 III, IV, and WGPC 18 and 19, Adriana aims to bring her usual robotics and Valentian spirit into the world of Grand Prix once again with the future series. In the most recent event that was WGP2 4, Adriana went pretty far as a driver for Fireline Motorsports, winning first two main feature races in a row, though eventually fell short for the rest of the season. Still, the fact that she got pretty far points-wise was something commendable for a Valentians, for Valentine Z does not exactly see success in the scene of WGP just yet. As for WGP2 IV, Adriana didn't have a single thought that it was due to her team's fault and instead, she figured that it might just be because of her habit of driving and the codes that she was running. As a result, after much consultation with Jenny and self-actualization, she decided that she wanted to give her human mind a bit more autonomy instead of the hard-coded codes doing the calculation - that is, she sacrificed her reliability for a bit more aggression. Furthermore, with the introduction of NSSCRA 14 into the mix, Adriana decided that she would like to give it a try, and thus in the Everlong Series, driving for the Gardeners, under Garden at 6th Mile Road, an independent dimension that is home to one Holly Starlight, and is under the protection of the Valentians. Then there was an OWARS (and now WGPC 20) on the way, and NSSCRA having not been finished yet, the Valentians thought of it all: what if Adriana got cloned? The result: Adriana #2 – known as Adriana Ela Kowalski Lillian, will be joining the Formula Racing scene, with reassurance that the two Adrianas will not cause any kind of mess-ups. IC-and-OOCly, this means that the two Adrianas will be and are already being treated as separate entities, and they will not be RP’ed and written in such a way to imply that they are cheating or anything of that sort.

Team Name: Valentian MeowMeow Racing

Acceleration (Between 2 and 5): 3.0

R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Engine supplier? Y/N: N (will be using Hapilopper's Skychief V6 if accepted).
Team bio: Established quite relatively recently [OOC: the actual year I will put sometime later in a RP, regardless of if I get the team accepted or not], but backed up by all the experience of the past few decades. For starters, the Valentians have always been enthusiastic when it comes to racing, from stock car racing to formula to drag to rally to even a bit of street racing here and there. For WGPC 20, however, the Valentians decided that this might be as good of a time as many to bring their own team into the mix. The goal is that relatively simple, so to speak: After having tried bringing Adriana, Angela, and Jolyn (used to) into the foray of Formula racing, the Valentians are now wanting to try out the prospect of running a team themselves. “So instead of us having to participate and being in their tryouts, now we are going to be the one doing it. Ladies and Gentlemen, as we will say, the tables will have turned, but in a good way for the both of us, of course!” remarked Intelligence Officer Jenny Claudia Joy Lena Linette “Sombra De Kenshutsu Sa Renai Hakkā” Marce Tanya Mayweather Ik. D. Do. S. Morishita Whitney Sakurano Fujima Felice Hoshiko Radiance, the principal of this newly-formed team, a few of which might have heard of the name as that Japanese lady who has helped Clarissa and Adriana with their racing codes and other adjustments. Other than that, however, Jenny is definitely more than capable of handling human drivers, along with the cars themselves. She would be the one who manages and runs the car’s electronics and programs, as well as the general IT infrastructure of this new team. That, of course, also means that there are equally valuable Valentians running the team, a few from The Sixty, even. “It’s going to be a bit comical, if I am completely honest,” Jenny added on, “But again, IF and IF we somehow fielded winners in our team, the MeowMeow is going to be quite a legacy. Still, baby steps! We are just applying; we are not even in yet.” Fears include competing against Fireline, if they’re in.

Been waiting for this- the deck might be stacked, but I don't remember that stopping me from trying!

Driver Name: Brendan Faloe
Name Trigram: FAE
Nationality Trigram: ESM
Preferred Car Number: 71
Second Choice Car Number: 74
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 5
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 3.5
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 3.5
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.

Driver's bio: Brendan Faloe. At age 22, Brendan is the second-highest scoring student in Cygnus University’s engineering program, and their fastest simulation driver. As one of the designers behind the university’s Nimban WGP3 chassis, Brendan has experience with formula cars, though whether he can drive as quickly as the sport’s fastest is yet to be proven or disproven. Brendan has long been what his acquaintances consider a follower, not a leader, and the coming season of motorsports could be his opportunity to make a name for himself. It’s likely, if not certain, he will be the lead driver for Cygnus’ two-car team, should their entry make it.

Driver Name: Jean Mercer-Daly
Name Trigram: JMD
Nationality Trigram: ESM
Preferred Car Number: No preference; will take first unused number
Second Choice Car Number: See above
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 5
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 2
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 5
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.

Driver's bio: Jean Mercer-Daly. A driver with untold history in racing, but approaching age 41, one that has wanted to put that history behind before it becomes stale and meaningless. Jean holds the WGPC distinctions of the first driver to score three wins in a row, plus six career wins, runner-up in the WGPC16 Drivers’ Championship, and the WGPC15 Constructors’ Championship (as driver). Jean, after WGPC19, was adamant that he would not return, though after negotiations is looking to serve as a test and reserve driver for Nexus Racing, in order to repay them for their trust in him for the last four seasons.

Margin for error (0.1 - 5. 0.1 is forgiving, 5 is treacherous): 4.25

Info:
Located near the small city of Vertress, the scenic Forest Cross circuit combines two very different sections of track. The first is a slow, methodical climb uphill through tight turns with no room for driver error, and the second is a blast through the forest with long straights and pinpoint chicanes. The track has seen multiple changes over the years in the name of safety, but it is still seen by many as a blast from the past, and the perfect track to test both car and driver to their absolute limit.

-----

Extra Info:
Forest Cross is the oldest permanent racing circuit in all of Esmerel, first opened in 1971 by lead track designer Niall Martan as Esmerel’s answer to the ultimate racing circuit, combining tight uphill and downhill sections reminiscent of Mount Panorama or Monte Carlo, high speed flowing turns reminiscent of Spa or Suzuka, and colossal straights split by pinpoint chicanes reminiscent of Monza or Hockenheim.

The original layout, measured at 4.666km/2.899mi, was an instant success with both the crowd and the drivers, and hosted regular racing, including a cornerstone 500km event for Group 1 (later Group A, then Group GT) cars. However, as cars got faster, the circuit would not age well. By the year 1994, the circuit had not seen a fatality, but driver injuries had become common with the drastically increasing speeds and lack of runoff areas. As a reaction to the tragedies in both the worlds of open wheel racing and stock car racing that occurred that year, Niall Martan returned to the track to redesign it in the name of safety.

The track barriers and gravel traps were adjusted around the track in time for the opening round of the 1995 EGTC racing season, though Martan had also decided to extend the circuit to 8.703km/5.408mi, with a stadium-esque middle sector and a greatly extended back straight. The new part of the track was lengthy, but welcomed, and eventually the circuit was used for the 2018 season of the World Grand Prix Championship.

However, the track’s Grand Prix date forced it to enter a new era. After a dangerous crash by World Champion Terho Talvela at Turn 12, the Double Shift chicane, the safety of the track was called back into question. At the same time, the complete dominance of home hero Jean Mercer-Daly from lights to flag led to questions about the track’s capability of competitive racing. Original track designer Niall Martan sadly passed away from natural causes in 2010, leaving his son Ewan Martan to design the track’s second reconfiguration.

The old layout was used one more time for WGPC preseason testing in 2019, before it was rebuilt over that year. Major changes included the reprofiling and streamlining of several corners, and the exclusion of the stadium section at Serpent’s Fork from the Grand Prix layout, as the circuit had become much longer than expected. This led the track to its modern layout, and many fans believe the circuit has hit the sweet spot of being a fast blast from the past in terms of track design, while also properly accommodating modern racing.

Unlike most other racing circuits, there is not a single piece of tarmac runoff on the track, with every heavy braking zone featuring large gravel traps. This makes the track unforgiving to any mistakes and discourages “creative interpretations” of the track limits, though as with any subject, some fans believe the lack of runoff is too unforgiving. The track utilizes SAFER barrier technology in major areas such as the banked hairpin Turn 1 and the back straight, where the walls close in to leave no room for driver error.

The track has yet to see a return to the World Grand Prix Championship since its debut race in 2018, despite its major renovations and fan clamoring. While originally proposed to be set aside in favor of another Esmerelian circuit, the dedication to Forest Cross has proven remarkable, and the track promoters are certain that soon enough, it’ll be their turn again.

Team bio: Cygnus University is one of Esmerel’s top post-secondary schools, and one of its most championed programs is its engineering division. Training students to embrace technologies of the near future, it promises a worthwhile time in looking ahead to a future of potential, within a world seeming to starve for said potential.

Cygnus is not a completely new team in motorsports- they entered the first and only season of WGP3 racing on the Nexus Wardship (as the Esmerel Collegiate Motorsport Team), the i-League, as well as the WGP3 Atlantic Division, winning both championships of the latter series in 2019.

With the total collapse of teams like Obey Sport GP and MTAC Motorsports, Cygnus plans to buck the trend of flopped Esmerelian teams with lengthy planning and preparation. Team boss Dr. WIlliam Emerson has stated the team’s goal for its first year is to “get their foot in the door”, and set up a foundation for a long road to the top of the WGPC Constructors’ Championship.

The design mentality of Cygnus works around finding what already works, and developing on that base to see what else works. It matters to them not to leave the past behind in a ditch, but equally not to ignore the possibilities of the future, even if they don’t work perfectly out of the gate.

Whatever the result, the team is full of morale to do their best, as well as prove the quality of Cygnus’ engineers to the rest of the Verse.

Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 3.8
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 4.1
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 4.1
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Driver's bio: 23 years of age. A one-time Tumbran WGP3 Champion, Ted made his debut in WGP2 S4 and won two feature races en route to finishing third in the standings, helping his team, Kaylan, win the WGP2 S4 Constructor's Championship in the meantime with teammate Anola Melani. His debut season in WGPC went less than impressively, and he's looking to get a long-term drive somewhere, whether it's with current employers Kaylan or not. At the same time, Ted's dealing with feelings he never knew he had for another; was that fling with Janne Laukkanen a one-time thing, something to assuage him of his loneliness? Or is it something more?

Driver Name: Sophie MCCREARY

R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Driver's bio: At just 21, McReary is the latest talent spotted by Charlie Pressley's outfit and is the team principal's answer to Pressley's speed. McReary is hot-headed, brash, but has the requisite speed to back up her motormouth. She's up for a challenge, won't shy away from a fight on the track, and is a known late breaker. She could use a bit more skill on the tires, though.

Engine supplier? Y/N: N
Team bio: This was always Charlie Pressley's ultimate goal; ramping up his operations to eventually run a WGPC outfit. His son was meant to be the one at the helm; but now, with the two estranged and unlikely to talk to each other for the foreseeable future, the programme has been re-pivoted to focus on Sophie McReary, and she's expected to be the team's lead driver...despite her inexperience. The goal is to be competitive; the secondary goal is to beat his son on track and show him that he should never have left the family fold.

Pressley, as Chief Executive Officer, will be at all the races; but the day-to-day running of the team will be left to Jack Brook, the long-suffering team principal who needs to negotiate the complicated world of internal team politics as he's convinced that his deputy, the immaculately good-looking Steven Cheung, is gunning for his seat. All the infrastructure is in place for the Tumbran effort at WGPC; the team is bankrolled by three supporters with deep pockets — Dennis Metcalfe of Metcalfe Systems, Alex Tyrrell of the ecommerce site http://www.EvEv.tmb, and Joseph Hayward, of Hayward Breweries. Expectations are high — will the team be up to the task?

Info: Located deep in the mountainous western region of Tumbra, Mount Fesmos provides a thrilling yet challenging course for drivers and a technical challenge for teams alike. Located near the undulating hills at the foot of Mount Fesmos, the circuit's first sector provides a technical challenge, with tight yet flowing corners that flow into one another. The circuit reaches its highest point at the banked turn 9, and begins climbing just after the start-finish line, providing an thrill unmatched by few circuits worldwide.

Opened in 1954 as a real racer's track, safety concerns including too high a top speed forced a reprofiling in 1971 to the track's current layout. Still heralded as a temple of speed in Tumbra, VisitTumbra.com have decided to nominate this circuit as the site for the inaugural Tumbran Grand Prix, taking advantage of local boy Ted Pressley's newfound popularity after his third-place finish in WGP2 Season 4.

Sigurd Ring is a good way off the main highways leading into and out of the Dieresis of Losphortoene's capital of Ramgardia. The premier location for endurance racers, for the WGPC car, the track is designed to help keep its cars intact from beginning to end of its long lap. Here, the winner is determined by the right balance of race strategy and driver guts. Make a mistake, and you will probably go to a runoff area, your only losses being a lot of lap time and grid positions. DRS zones are generous, and overtaking opportunities are abundant, whether in the high-speed straights or in the low-speed corners.

The biggest events here can hold a crowd of 200-250 thousand. They cheer loudly whenever something unexpected happens, like when a late-braking move proves to be momentum-swinging in the championship leaderboard. This event has lots to help make a WGPC weekend something special.

Nation Trigram: TJU
First Preference Car Number: 11
Second Preference Car Number: 64
Reliability: 5
Aggression: 2
Technique: 5
Driver Bio: The name "Carter" originates from the former nation of Galar, a land filled with creatures well-known to audiences in the International Community. When it was discovered during qualification for WC84 that the nation had collapsed without a trace, the FA-TJUN-ia decided to allow the 11 players from Galar to come over to TJUN-ia and play for us. One of the players mentioned was called Prince Carter. Carter was really good at football but he also brought to TJUN-ia his brothers, Jester and Lane. Jester was more physical and gravitated towards American Football, but Lane? Well, that's a different story.

Lane wasn't really the physical type, more interested in motorsports and was perfecting the art of karting before the collapse and the sudden move to TJUN-ia. On arrival at TJUN-ia City, he told the community he wanted to race. Small problem - racing didn't really exist in TJUN-ia at all by this point, so they started from scratch by forming the TJUN-ia-MRO. He was the one who tested out the Jungle Circuit in Peninsula before it would be used in NSSCRA 9, so he certainly helped the nation kick-start its racing pedigree.

Come the 3rd Season of WGP2, he was ready and hopped into the program of UrGa. He took pole in his 2nd ever race and looked good to score a potential win before a racing incident with teammate Taras Matviyenko started the downfall. He finished consistently in the points multiple times during that season but Taras had the higher finishes as a similar driver in the same car. So, he felt that he let everyone down and decided to leave on his own accord. It would later be discovered that UrGa wanted to do the right thing and tell him he would be let go face-to-face, but the actions of "The Forgotten Galarian" prevented that. That letter from Vasily Semyonovich Gatutin would eventually end up in Lane's possession 3 months later in Portside.

But that letter made him realise that he wasn't as bad as he made out: he was consistent with what he was given, even though Taras was the one who got the podium. He finished only 5 points down on his teammate, after all. So, change of plan. The original plan for Carter was to wait for the next WGP2, where he could improve on his performance. But after that letter, he decided to throw caution to the wind and try to get his adopted homeland to the apex of open-wheel motorsports: the WGPC itself. That plan ended up going really well for S18 as his consistency during the 2nd half of the season got him into 10th in the standings by the season's end, a result he could be proud of in that Race Eelandii V&T GP. He even managed to break out of his social bubble and make a friend in the form of Daryl Mizushima, which went to show how much things changed over the course of a single season.

The last time he was in a WGPC car his performance improved significantly, finally winning his first-ever race in his career en route to a spectacular P6 in the standings. Race Eelandii VTGP is actually starting to feel like his team and while Mizu has fallen off the radar, he will be hoping to push for Top 5 this season - especially considering he won't be the only TJUN-ian on the grid this season.

Name: Batu Tüvshinbayar
Name Trigram: TUV
Nation: TJUN-ia (The International Community of TJUN-ia)
Nation Trigram: TJU
First Preference Car Number: 9
Second Preference Car Number: 7
Reliability: 3
Aggression: 5
Technique: 4
Driver Bio: The TJUN-ia-MRO spent a lot of resources on helping Lane Carter reach the big time and while his successes have been prominent in WGPC18, the organisation was beginning to focus on the next step - the next generation, the drivers who will follow in the footsteps of the Galarian towards the summit of the open-wheel world. Upon discovering an opportunity to send a driver to the Nexus System in order to race in a spec series held by Nexus Racing themselves, the MRO found someone that could fulfil the role of "the next generation" and could actually do very well indeed. His name was Batu Tüvshinbayar.

With a name meaning "Strong" and "Firm", you'd probably expect great things from this guy already. Batu is a native Mongolian and comes from the city of Shinebaishin in the CEA, not far from the border with the CSTO. You don't really get a lot of people that are from Mongolic backgrounds participating in international competition, but his parents expected great things from him nonetheless with a name like that. They wanted him to be a fighter, maybe in boxing or in one of the many martial arts, but he wasn't one to learn the complicated stances and moves of these sports. When fighting failed, they looked at sports where you have to be both aggressive and smart and once they discovered the wacky world of motor racing, there was no going back.

He entered karting at just 12 years old and tamed the art of the kart as if it were a horse. He was known for driving like a warrior at times, pushing his way through the field when required - but he's also known for being patient, only using his aggression when the situation demanded it. At age 16, he caught the attention of the MRO when he won a national series race from 16th on the grid, slicing his way through the field as if he had 20 years of experience and not 5. Because of this and many other performances, the MRO decided that it would be Shinebaishin's own who would apply to travel to the Nimbus System to prove his strengths to a non-TJUN-ian audience. In the futuristic Crossbay Circuit, he would prove to be someone with potential - taking the 2nd race with a huge comeback drive and finishing 5th out of the 10 drivers on points. Unfortunately, it also exposed his weaknesses as proved by his inconsistency in on-track position at times - known for flying up or sinking down the grid with no in-between. Still, he took that experience to heart and went to WGP2 S4 looking to do something good...only for his two podiums to be the ultimate highlight as his poor form caused a whole team to die...

But then he won the Rumble in the Rice Fields, got to race in a NSSCRA Cup Series race and signed for Scuderia Orange Cow for his 2nd WGP2 campaign - one in which history would be made. All Batu apparently needed was a fresh bit of scenery to make his true talents be known and he took that Orange Cow to not only his first-ever race win, but the WGP2 title as a whole. Being made immortal back home, and joining the illustrious TJUN-ian Hall of Fame, certainly made that achievement sink in...but a lot has changed since the last time he run a WGPO race. The long wait made him go through some stuff concerning Adonis Fitzpatrick, stuff he is OK with waiting on at the moment, but it also allowed him to form new friendships with Lane Carter, NSSCRA's masked enby Lam Chow-Cheung and 2-time ECC Champion Tshering Gyeltshen - bonds which have certainly helped in making this long wait seem bearable at least. Winning the TMW 400 a few months ago also certainly helped and now finally, he will get a shot at the big time...and he's dying to see how he will get on.

As a driver, he is one that focuses on both his aggression and his technique. While his reliability lags behind his other attributes, he can be an absolute nightmare to drive against when he and his car work as one. He may sound aggressive and all-powerful as a driver but off-track, that's not the story at all. That's a lesson from what he learnt from his parents: just because he's supposed to be strong doesn't mean he can't be kind. Out of the car, he's a friendly person (a rarity in TJUN-ian motorsports it seems) and one who loves to talk to anyone he sees. He's almost like Maddison Riley-Jones in that regard - just without the shyness. If anyone finds joy in speaking to this 21-year-old from Shinebaishin, then they may have earned a friend for life. This is Batu Tüvshinbayar, a WGP2 Champion looking to finally put his crown to good use. His confidence issues are no more and no matter what happens now, he's just happy he's finally made it here...to the promised land.

Driver's bio:

Voted ‘Hülkenberg’s Sexiest Man’ for three years running, full-time sandwich-connoisseur and part-time racing driver Dario Nülkeschläger returns in pursuit of a third season in the multiverse’s premier series of single-seater racing. The 22-year-old brings with him two seasons of WGPC experience, a short-lived jaunt into rallying (resulting in the only victory of his professional racing career), a solid GT career, and a fantastic moustache and glasses combo known to cause innocent bystanders to swoon with ease.

Previous seasons at WGPC Motorworks and GP Auto Pryfors Bilar-Viska brought the Hülkenberger very little success, with a surprise podium being the solitary highlight… at least, the only one so far. Dario is not a man to dwell on his past (mainly because he doesn’t have the mental capability to recall that far back), and his eyes are fixated firmly on his future, wherever that may be. As a bonus, all interested parties who submit enquiries about this absolute hunk will receive a signed driver card from his HMG Challenge GT season, wherein he missed out on the title to the driver mentioned in the next spoiler.

Dario’s Performances - Summarised
WGPC 18 - 0 wins, 1 podium, 15 points (out of 11 races)
WSRC - 1 win, 0 podiums, 34 points (out of 8 rallies)
WGPC 19 - 0 wins, 0 podiums, 21 points (out of 11 races)
HMG Challenge GT - 0 wins, 6 podiums, 48 points (out of 8 races)

Driver Name: Nepö Kinder

Second Choice Car Number: 83
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 3.99
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 4.5
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 3.51
Driver's bio:

Breaking into the scene as the only girl to win her country’s prestigious national karting championship, Nepö has enjoyed a modest amount of success in her native Hülkenberg, taking victories in Hülkenberger WGP4 before a shift to hatchbacks and GTs brought about further championships in the HMG H16 Trophy and various national single-make GT series. It was here that her career really started to gain traction, with talk of a step up to WGP3 or even WGP2 being touted in comment sections, on blogs, and in newspapers - but she snubbed single-seaters entirely, choosing instead to stick with her newfound success in sports cars. Determined to make a name for herself, she was handed a golden opportunity when Hülkenberg’s largest automobile manufacturer offered her a drive in the country’s most prestigious sports car championship, against some of the most experienced talents at that level.

In a year which many considered to be make or break for her career at-large, her rookie season in HMG Challenge GT could only be described in one word: domination. 6 wins and 7 podiums across an 8-round season allowed her to romp home with 72 points, nearly 20 points clear of her nearest rival, and 24 points ahead of the aforementioned Dario Nülkeschläger. From this, even more doors opened in her career, and the choice between further progress in sports cars or a shot at WGPC glory would be a tough one for her to make…

Nepö’s Performances - Summarised

Hülkenberger WGP4 - 7 wins, 14 podiums, 276 points (out of 21 races)
HMG H16 Trophy - 4 wins, 9 podiums, 152 points (out of 16 races)
Non-Descript National Sportscar Series - 16 wins, 28 podiums, a points count that I am not tallying up :Boyd: (out of 42 races)
HMG Challenge GT - 6 wins, 7 podiums, 72 points (out of 8 races)

Margin for error (0.1 - 5. 0.1 is forgiving, 5 is treacherous): 1.8
Info:
The Grand Prix of Liventia was traditionally shared between the Talbott Autodrome in Talbott and Neverend's Gold Park Circuit, but Gold Park's long-standing contract with Motorsport Liventia lapsed at the end of Season 17. Since then, Talbott has been the home of Liventian WGPC races, and Gold Park is to host WGP2 events. Therefore, the Talbott Autodrome, also nicknamed "The Dog" for its canine-like outline, has been nominated to host the Grand Prix again this season.

However, the Autodrome has undergone recent renovations. Notably, the 11-12-13 chicane sector is now more of a straight, with the chicanes completely removed. The 8-9-10 sector has also been flipped, with turn 8 now being a left-hander instead of a right-hander. There are now 19, not 21, corners on the circuit.

Coming down the start-finish straight from turn 21, drivers build up a fair amount of speed before braking for a tight section that comprise turns 1 and 2. Turn 2 is a second-gear right-hander leading onto a technical section of esses up through turn 6, where the first intermediate is located. This is a section not taken at above fourth gear.

Turn 6 is a smooth left-hander onto a very short straight before a sharp hairpin at turn 7, which leads into one of the faster sections of the circuit. Turn 8 is a fifth-gear left hander before a sharp breaking point at turn 9 which is a second-gear corner. A small 'S' later and we're onto another fast sector of the track, with this short straight replacing the old chicanes. The removal of the chicanes is expected to take off around two seconds off lap times. The straight leads to a wide right turn into a hairpin at 12.

12 through 14 is a fairly quick section, but 16 is another hairpin. From here onwards it's almost totally flat-out with a nice, long straight leading up to the quick left-right combination of 16 and 17 before a last hairpin at 18 leads back onto the main straight.

The technicality of the track means cars with poor reliability tend to fair better here as cars aren't all-out through the whole circuit. It is technically situated in the Folenisa Desert, which makes rain unlikely, though not impossible—when it does rain, it drenches everything.

It is not impossible to overtake on the circuit, although it feels like a street circuit in parts, and it is more difficult than on a usual track. There are no walls, however, only gravel pits and run-off areas, which helps avoid major safety car incidents.

All winners (old layout):

Team bio: Carvenlo Racing makes a return to the WGPC for its 15th season in its various guises. This year's entry is a joint project with Portland Racing, Matthew Portland's racing team, which Carvenlo had intended to supply with engines last season in WGP2 before making a full return to the top-flight.

The team is a six-time world constructors' champion, in seasons 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, and 12. Darren Franklin will be technical director and Portland will serve as director of motorsport and chief strategist. Another former Liventian world drivers champion, Troy Wilkins, will be the team principal.

The team finished 8th last season, and has now adopted an image of that of a caring team, with Portland instituting mental health and pastoral support to all drivers and staff, including famously flying drivers' family members to the race in Talbott last year.

Team bio:
The Urotovsky-Gatutin General Machine Building Enterprise, commonly shortened to just UrGa, was established on 29 May 1936 under Mikhail Ustinovich Urotovsky and Mikhail Abramovich Gatutin to produce trucks for the Pridnestrovian Army as well as the numerous collectivized farms throughout Pridnestrovia. During the Pridnestrovian-Ixanian War of 1941-47, UrGa began producing T-34 tanks alongside their trucks to aid in the war effort, with an estimated 4,200 tanks rolling off of their production lines by war's end. In the 1950s, Mikhail Gatutin created the Gatutin Space and Rocketry Bureau which would produce the Ga-36 ballistic missile, the backbone of Pridnestrovia's nuclear launch capability in the 60s to the 80s. The Ga-36 was also the inspiration for the Feniks rocket which carried Pridnestrovian cosmonauts into space. More recently, specifically the turn of the new millennium, UrGa entered the automotive industry by acquiring the controlling stake in Minchev Automobiles, an Abanhfleft-based company renowned for producing simple, cheap, and rugged cars and pickup trucks.

In the field of motorsports, UrGa is not among the best, but it's also not among the worst. The Minchev Bobcat has been the primary truck used by the Abanhfleft Racing Truck Series for over thirty years, and in terms of Grand Prix racing, UrGa Motorsports Division won the inaugural Coalition Grand Prix Racing Association constructors' championship in 2021. Other teams have since edged UrGa out of the Coalition constructors' title race, but that hasn't stopped them from dreaming of bumping elbows with the elite of multiversal Grand Prix racing. After two seasons developing their concepts in WGP2, UrGa now believes that the time is right for the team to enter the top tier of open wheel racing, WGPC.

The son of controversial NSSCRA driver Guillermo Archer. William Archer missed out on a ride in first WGP2 season, but that didn't stop him from getting signed by Preston Autos GP. A win in a midseason test convinced Preston that they were on the right track, and now he's back for a second season to keep up Preston's improvement. Two back-to-back wins at the end of the WGPC 19 season convinced William that this was possibly his best chance to finally challenge for or even win the title this time around.

With Matviyenko now retiring, Donny has been retained by UrGa as their new WGP2 driver. If UrGa gets elevated to WGP2 then Donny will be expected to come up with the team. However, if UrGa is not included in the list of constructors for this season then Donny will opt to remain in WGP2 for another season.

Driver's bio: Much of Jenna's experience comes from driving fast, expensive cars. She is a Baroness of the House Vander, a family related to the Imperial Royal House of Vang. Her family represents a certain province in the way that Vang represents Vangaziland as Head of State. Their role is mainly ceremonial, although they do get involved with business and politics. Jenna is expected to go into local politics. She's putting that aside for a moment in the hopes of making a push in racing. She's raced karts since childhood, has won several amateur events (out of a dozen) and finished four professional touring car races.

Jenna entered the international scene during the inaugural season of WGP2. She raced for Vannish Motors alongside season driver’s champion Jang Xiaopeng, her Tainese-Vangazi counterpart. Baroness Vandersen finished 4th in driver standings and helped VMR win the Constructor’s Championship. Since then, Jenna has raced in several domestic Vannish racing leagues. Her most notable victory was a win in the Blue Coast 24 Hour challenge. There she drove as part of a Series One Vannish Motors Racing-Ghost team.

The baroness is known for a short lived romantic fling with WGPC all-star Jessica Franssen. Her fashion brand CoCoCo has grown into one of Vangaziland’s major companies. She has worked with Vannish Motors Racing on many international projects including the NSSCRA series.

Info:

In 2004, Barisee Design contracted engineers from Nekoni to help design a circuit in Esportivan Vangaziland. The state of the art track would be built in the northern area of the territory, under 40 minutes from the Vannish border with Nekoni. Drosopol Circuit has run Vannish T1 racing since 2009. It was built for an Esportivan touring car series and a small, domestic open-wheel league. The course is located within a stadium on the outskirts of the industrial city of Drosopol. City officials campaigned dilligently to bring the WGPC to their small town.

Drosopol Circuit is designed for the fan experience. Indigo and red curbing lines each turn. The stadium is filled with gift shops, restaurants and two pubs. Drosopol is not as polished of a city as Emeros. The area around the track is hoping increased revenue from the WGPC will help improve the neighborhood.

Named Features
Esportivan Run (main straight) - The main straightaway measures out to 1,360m. This allows for top speeds surpassing 230 mph. A large grandstand looks down on most of the stretch. This should make for high speed finishes on a track where cars will top NSSCRA speeds. A special area for victory ceremonies is located off the center point of the straightaway.

Diamond Top (turns 4a-7) - After coming out of a U-shaped nook, the course turns north before jutting northeast. One short straight leads to a wide hairpin, before shooting back out on a nearly identical arm. The technical feature will create visual distortions for the drivers, who may not see as well from the hairpin. A retainer wall lining the feature makes sneaking a glance before the turn difficult.

The Back Straight (between turns 7-8) - This nickname is based on a horse racing term. The smaller straightaway measures at 558m. Drivers enter the feature out of an almost 90 degree turn. A tight hairpin waits at the end of the stretch. A smaller grandstand, along with an outdoor seated bar line the tarmac behind barrier fencing.

Raptor's Beak (turn 11) - Several drivers and crews have seen similarities between a bird of prey in the track's layout over the years. The two technical sections could almost be seen as wings, or even the outstretched arms of a velociraptor. Turn 11 would be the raptor's beak in such a scenario. The turn is a fairly wide hairpin that leads into another short straight. As the widest angled hairpin on the course, it will provide visibility issues going into its apex. As the turn rounds towards the exit, the next leg comes into view.

Nook Check (turns 16-18b) - Turn 17 brings an interesting exit angle down a short straight. There isn't much time to pass, since things slow into the 'Z' of turns 18a-18b.

The Roundabout (turn 21) - More visibility issues will be presented on the lead into the Esportivan run. This turn is tighter than the Raptor's Beak and needs a tighter exit angle. With the speed of the exit, this turn might provide some of the highest G-forces the drivers will experience at Drosopol. Camera crews stack heavily to film from the inside of the turn. There is some runoff area, but it's more limited here than many other places on the course.

Team bio: A late entrant to WGP2 Season 4, Scuderia Orange Cow overcame the handicap of not having a dedicated race factory or test track, no pre-season testing, a completely inexperienced driver lineup backed by a hastily assembled group of mechanics & engineers in a chassis that was at best a generation behind the rest of the grid and managed to earn a pair of pole positions and a pair of P2 qualifications as well as win in a mid season non-points event and a second place feature race podium spot.
That momentum continued in WGP2 Season 5 as team built upon that foundation and saw their young TJUN-ian driver Batu Tüvshinbayar capture the series Drivers title, with Jordan Crowe finishing seventh in the standings to propel the team to the Constructors title as well. 14 top ten finishes and a pair of wins and poles were the reward for a much improved race team.
Now with a dedicated race facility, a proper test track alongside and the experience of the last two seasons, SOC is ready to take the next step into WGPC 20.

Driver's bio: Jordan Crowe has risen over two seasons to become a top class driver for Scuderia Orange Cow. From his beginning as the team's test/reserve driver in the first WGP2 campaign, he was promoted to the second race seat for the following year, repaying the faith that the team had shown him by taking fifth place in the feature race in Aboveland, qualifying 2nd at Drummond Vale ahead of his maiden victory in the feature followed by a fifth in the sprint, a fourth in the feature and third in the sprint in Lisander, and 9th in the finale at the Vilitan Mountain course to help the team win the Constructors title.

Info: DVRC is the most popular track in the Commonwealth of Baker Park, hosting race meetings 29 weekends per year on average. It has several configurations for varying skill levels and vehicle types; for the WGPC, the 3.35 mile Championship course will be used.

Located approximately 30 minutes west of Clayton the track is situated on the foothills of the far western edge of the Central Plateau, which runs parallel to the Belle Haven River.

Leaving from the start/finish line, the lap consists of 17 corners, the first being a third gear left hander leading to the first overtaking opportunity at turn 2; acceleration is key on the run through the bend at turn 4 before encountering the first left handed curve, where the terrain begins to rise up to the braking zone at turn 6. From there, the track makes a climb until you reach the highest point on the circuit, the turn 8 hairpin, a long double apex lefthander that induces understeer in almost every type of vehicle driven here. The change in elevation to this point from the start/finish line is around 85 meters, so the climbs/descent is not difficult.
The short run down the turn 9 hairpin is slightly downhill, but at the apex itself, the pavement is off camber, so the beginning of the descent can give the feeling of sliding right off the left side of the road (it's nothing to fear, as there is more than enough runoff space). Down through turn 10 to the chicane that makes up the turn 11/12 complex, the car is once more at circuit's lowest point--temporarily--with just a slight uphill sprint to turn 13 (approximately about the same elevation as turn 6), then back to the left turn at 14, which is the start of the "Foot" and then the final left onto the front straight.

Driver Name: Bryce Yannec
Driver Nation: Mertagne (MRT)
Preferred Car Number: 87
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 3.5
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 4
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 4.5
Bio: Bryce Yannec is a competent driver, having been signed by the WGP2 Motorworks Team for WGP2 Season 5 and scoring a respectable 27 points - 100% of the points scored by the team - after a strong performance in the latter half of the season. Reliability issues plagued the car during the season, but it is Yannec's hope that his ability to adapt quickly to the setup of a car would serve him well driving for a team as new to the WGPC scene as he is. Coming into the competition with the motivational and financial backing of Mertagnian fashion house Sivaleinen, Bryce Yannec is aiming to break into the next level of his international racing career.

Yannec came late to the world of Motor Racing, having taken a job as an organ courier during the Insulation in the mountainous Mertagnian area of Yethal. As a driver, Yannec has a decreasingly cool head, looking to capitalise on driver's mistakes but becoming frustrated if opportunities fail to present themselves. A near life-changing plane crash in the pre-season of WGP2 Season 5 threatened to put an end to his career before it started, but now a season removed from that traumatic event, it is certain that Yannec would push to get the most out of a car on the track.

Circuit Name: Gernarche Circuit (Short Name) / Gernarche Autodrome Racing Circuit
Grand Prix Name: ITT Banking Group Grand Prix of Mertagne
Lap Record (F1/WGPC Car): 1:30.694

Track technicality (1-10): 4
Overtaking Difficulty (0.1 - 5. 0.1 is easy, 5 is difficult): 0.8
Margin for error (0.1 - 5. 0.1 is forgiving, 5 is treacherous): 3
Info: Gernarche Circuit is found on the former site of a Euran-built air force base that was decommissioned in the early days of the Insulation. Following the base's decommissioning, it fell into disuse, acting only as a munitions store for the Mertagnian Army Remnant. In the wake of the end of the Insulation, the land was purchased by a Mertagnian Rallycross promoter who was looking to expand the racing ventures offered in Mertagne's north-west. The circuit, constructed eight years ago, has undergone a fresh renovation in order to gain WGPO compliance. As a part of that renovation, a more technical section between the Sortie Straight and Old Apron has been implemented.

A lap through the WGP configuration of this circuit brings drivers in an anti-clockwise run from the start straight, through the left-hander of Turn 1, and through a similar yet tighter right-hander past the old air tower. This section, mostly flat, continues into a left turn at Turn 3, with an upward inclination over the very shallow Turn 4 and towards the end of Sector 1. At the end of Sector 1 is the first DRS detection point of the track, with a small s-shaped section at the start of Sector 2 known as Arsonhouse (as near it lies the site of a burned out munitions warehouse, since cleared) taking drivers into the first DRS zone of the track, the Sortie Straight, which brings drivers downhill in a fast yet short section of the track. Braking is key before the left-hander and technical section here, added for the WGP configuration, before turning through Old Apron and building up as much speed as possible before breaking heavily for the hairpin, which banks slightly to the inside and has been known to catch drivers out in the past. Speed is built back up again on the final straight of Sector 2, the 'base leg', which offers a key overtaking point on the track before the final sector. Sector 3 sees a quick rise in elevation on its first turn, before coming downhill on another shallow left hander before correcting to the right before the final turn of the track.

The circuit has several other configurations, including a longer course that runs around the outside of the circuit, and a smaller, lower speed circuit that runs around the paddock.

The aerodrome runways themselves consist of cracked concrete and have not been fully repaired beyond the bare minimum for health and safety. The land they sit on is often used for events such as travelling carnivals and motor shows. The old air control tower has been repurposed into a restaurant and VIP stands for the race.

Nationality Trigram: MRT
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 5
Acceleration (Between 2 and 5): 2
Turning (Between 2 and 5): 5
Engine supplier? Y/N: N
Team bio: Mertagnian fashion house Sivaleinen bought out struggling open-wheel racing outfit Lekueder Country Racing in the wake of their bankruptcy last season, with the intention of competing in an international open-wheel championship this year. This, however was simply not enough to develop a competitive car, and the fashion magnate turned to multinational energy and fuel company Origas to secure funding and build networks to poach key staff that would be useful to develop a raceworthy car for competition. Sivaleinen will be looking to make an impact from the word go as they enter the competition, but understand that it is unlikely they will be competing for victories amongst veteran teams in this season. An aggressive hiring approach and finding a strong, firm and fair team principal to steer the ship of the team before it makes its debut will be on the cards for the rookie team should it be lucky enough to secure a grid spot. The team will also be looking to source an engine from another team, as they lack the technical expertise to produce their own powertrain. A technical agreement with a parent team may also be on the cards if the right supplier comes along.
I am aware that with the calibre of competition for team slots already being present in this edition of the WGPC, it is unlikely that my team will be selected to compete. However, if I am successful in my team application, I will be looking to actively collaborate with other users, and would like to appoint a team principal for the team from another nation. I think the dynamic between the team owners and the principal would be an interesting RP line to work on collaboratively, and would welcome any interest. In my mind the ideal principal would be a no-nonsense Wolff style character (as Sivaleinen LCR Origas is currently some weird unholy 2023 Mercedes/1988 Benetton fusion), so if that sort of character is of interest to you, please feel free to get in touch.

The user behind Mertagne has some (albeit rusty) WGPC experience, having participated in WGPC12 with the driver Roger Bunn under Audioslavia's McPahan Racing team.
EDIT: Edited circuit lap record to better reflect average track speed. Change reflected in circuit image and in signup.

Nationality Trigram: TGN
Preferred Car Number: 19
Second Choice Car Number: 91
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 5
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 4
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 3
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Driver's bio: A driver whose career has been quite of an rollercoaster so far. The 24-year old started racing at quite a late age of 15, when he participated in Togonistan Rallycross League, finishing his maiden season in top of the Junior Class rankings. A year later he was picked up by Kaylan Racing Team and joined their youth development program. Securing a drive in the domestic TTRL series, Falepeau initially spent two seasons driving for Domerton Motorsports before making a step up to Kaylan’s representative team. The following two seasons saw Falepeau finishing 6th and 2nd in the championship. Despite the results, due to an influx of multiple younger, more promising drivers, Falepeau was sacked from the team for the next season.

A year of great changes followed for Falepeau, who decided to do a complete hairpin turn in his career. With no prior experience in open-seater racing, the young Togoni jumped aboard the WGP2 train. Being a rather unknown driver to the international stage, Falepeau eventually ended up signing a 1-year long contract with New Scaiva and Horshenwurst-based Junixwagen team. First WGP2 season was a rough ride for Falepeau, as his lack of experience with the machinery, accompanied by multiple mechanical failures left him struggling amongst backmarkers on the grid. Eventually, Falepeau ended the season on mere 22nd place in drivers standings, with 6th place achieved in Yakumicha GP2 Challenge being his best result.

Following his first season in WGP2, Falepeau's future was unsure until he got picked up by MRT2, with whom he spent the 2nd season of WGP2 as the team's sole entrant. What is largely considered as a great leap in his career, Falepeau showed consistent results in MRT2, eventually ending the season on 11th place in the drivers standings with 42 points under his name.

Moving on to the third season of WGP2, Falepeau secured himself a seat in Filindostan's Badai Angin-IGR. Despite a slow start, the season turned out to be his most successful one to date, with Falepeau getting a podium finish in Esmerel and a race win in Diarcesia. As a dark horse, Falepeau stood in title battle until the very last round of the season, eventually finishing 4th in Drivers Championship with 63 points.

From there on, Falepeau made a step up to WGPC, once again signing with MRT for WGPC 18. He started the season with a set of strong performances and constant points finishes, followed by a steady demise in results as the season carried on. Eventually, Falepeau finished his maiden WGPC season 21st with 15 points.

For the 19th season of WGPC, Falepeau re-joined the Badai Angin family as he got signed to drive in the Filindostani team alongside Rustom Ibuna. The season proved to be Falepeau's most successful one to date, as the Togoni driver finished 3rd in the standings with 107.5 points and helped Badai Angin secure the constructors title.

Being the most successful Togonistani driver to date, Falepeau has gained some great PR through various media outlets during the years and is generally liked by fans of the sport. He has gained himself a reputation of chill, consistent and reliable driver who is able to be fast without taking too much unnecessary risks. Backed by Britonish fashion brand Élégamment, Falepeau will bring a decent-sized sponsorship package with him for any team signing him for the season.

Driver's bio: Darian Vilau is a member of Kaylan Prospect Program as well as current reserve and development driver for Kaylan. Being a champion of the maiden season of WGP3 ENZ Championship, Vilau took a step into WGP2 during it's 4th season, filling the role of a reserve driver for Kaylan. Vilau made an appearance in three non-championship races during the 4th season of WGP2, stepping in as a substitution for teammate Anola Melani. Out of the three non-championship rounds, Vilau finished 2nd on two occasions and 4th on the final round.

With Kaylan climbing up the ladder and fielding their team in WGPC for the following season, Vilau remained the team's test and reserve driver. At the same time, he also competed in the 5th season of WGP2 driving for Kaylan Junior Team by Domerton, a WGP2 operation ran by Domerton Motorsports in partnership with Kaylan. Vilau finished his first full season of WGP2 as a runner-up in the drivers standings with 91 points, 6 points behind the season's champion Batu Tüvshinbayar.

Team bio: After three seasons of experience on the WGP2 grid, the Togonistani car manufacturer's racing division took a step up to WGPC for it's 19th season. Entering the new season of WGPC as reigning WGP2 Constructors Champions, Kaylan announced that they would keep their former WGP2 line-up of Anola Melani and Ted Pressley, along with Darian Vilau remaining as the team's test driver. Despite showing promising results in the pre-season testing, the team's first season in WGPC started difficult. Kaylan drivers managed to finish in points for the first two races of the season, followed by a streak of non-points finishes until Filindostan Grand Prix, where Ted Pressley brought Kaylan their first WGPC podium finishing 2nd. Kaylan Racing Team eventually finished the season on 9th place in the Constructors Standings with 58 points.

With the team ready to enter their second season in the top tier championship, all eyes are on Kaylan's team principal Xander Mahakipare to see if he is able to bring the team out of their backmarker status. The board has high expectations, but can they be met?

Bio (optional): Starting off as a low-cost car manufacturer, Kaylan has over the years slowly but steadily increased their presence in motorsports. Having developed multiple different versions of WGP2- and WGP3-spec engines (including the WGP2-winning Kaieke 3), Kaylan has established themselves on the market as a manufacturer offering affordable, yet powerful solutions. All of which is achieved by keeping manufacturing costs low via using modern facilities and looking for ways of replacing some expensive materials with cheaper, yet durable alternatives.

Info: Hwoarang Racing Circuit, located at the outskirts of the city of Hwoarang, is a race track built in 2002 at the area of an old abandoned military airfield. With the length of 4.025km, it is the biggest racing circuit in Togonistan. When the airfield closed in 1998, it was left unused and it didn't take long until local street racers took it over as a good place for hosting their drag race competitions. However, eventually, local authorities also found out about the events happening there. The City Council liked the fact that local motorsports enthusiasts had found a use for the airstrip and they quickly started plans for turning the area into an actual raceway. Work started in 2000 and the racetrack was opened to the public two years later. Over the time, the track has constantly been upgraded and built to fit the needs of as many different racing disciplines as possible. Over the course of the years, the track has been used to host various motorsport competitions, some of the more notable ones being WGP2 Season 1 Hwoarang GP, TTRL Hwoarang Challenge and Hwoarang 24h Endurance Cup. The 4.025 km-long track is one of the fastest tracks in the whole Novapax region. Built on top of the old military airbase, the surface is generally very flat and the elevation changes during the course are almost non-existent. With multiple airstrips integrated to the circuit, the wide straights allow for great overtaking opportunities with the use of slipstreaming, accompanied with some sharp corners at the end to truly pull of some spectacular maneuvers. The long runoffs on the either side of the track can encourage the drivers to truly go for risks during the race.

Nationality Trigram: ABL

Second Preference Car Number: 20
Reliability/Aggression/Technique (total: 12, max. per stat: 5): 3.4/4.8/3.8

Bio:
21-year-old Janne Laukkanen's career story is one of high highs and excruciatingly low lows. Embroiled in the various tiers of the World Grand Prix Organization since the age of 16, the Kylmäjärvi native has not quite lived up to the hype he earned of the punditry after winning his first ever WGP2 race on debut, in WGP2 season 2. Stuck in the lower tier of the WGPC so long as Terho Talvela continued to race, Laukkanen bid three times to clinch the tier 2 world championship title to little avail — though not for a lack of trying. Always under the nurturing wing of Nimban outfit Nexus Racing, the Abovian finished in the top three twice — third on his inaugural season, and second to Siovanian champion Heinz Otto-Junker in WGP2 season 4, amid one of the most thrilling and ruthless title battles ever — with a torrid 17th-overall in his second campaign, and a forgettable domestic WGPi season in the Nexus Wardship, as the character-building padding in between.

Despite his mixed fortunes, long-time employers Nexus Racing never rescinded their faith in the young Abovian, and after his successful comeback WGP2 season 4 run, Laukkanen made the jump to the World Grand Prix Championship on lease from Nexus Racing (as both of the main team's seats had been filled). Landing a spot in legendary Liventian team Carvenlo Racing, the Abovian's debut top-tier season proved again to be another rock-bottom campaign; struggling to adapt out of his Nexus Racing Chase Cutter, Laukkanen finished again a lowly 17th in the championship, far behind his season teammate R.L. Cruisin and a far cry away from the punchy, ambitious, and blisteringly quick effort he'd put into his final WGP2 season.

Now, however, with Esmerel's Jean Mercer-Daly suggesting that his retirement is imminent, the possibility arises again for Janne Laukkanen to prove he's worth his spot in the World Grand Prix Championship while dressed in grey — and for him to finally give back to Nexus Racing the years of development, investment, faith, and Imagination they poured into his drawn-out junior career.

Info: [The] Fjellutfordring, located in the remote yet populous city of Avsidesliggendevuoret (home to former WGPC driver and WSRC Champion Axel Novikov), has been refreshed a third time for its entry into the 20th season of the WGPC, featuring a faster stretch between turns 1 and the new turn 5 chicane to stimulate ambitious overtaking and brave defensive driving. The simple, 11-turn circuit lies nestled in the undulating rocky landscape of the central Abovian city, carved into the bedrock with little space to spare. Despite its relative simplicity, the circuit poses a number of risks that drivers must be aware of if they're to complete the entire race distance including but not limited to the gravel and grass track limits, the close walls on the insides of turns 1 through 5, its rising crests, and its flat-out bumpy corners throughout. Being short in length, Fjellutfordring is a circuit with races spanning many laps — each demanding the absolute most in concentration and commitment, rewarding only the bravest drivers..

Team bio: Three-time (if you look really closely) WGPC Constructors' Champion Tropicorp Racing Ælund returns to the WGPC — under a brand new, temporary name.

Pending an investigation from the AFIP (Abovian Fiscal Investigation Police) into the relationship between Abovian partner and parent company Ælund Racing and defunct Togonistani enterprise Echocoin, a main sponsor of the Abovian outfit's rally operation, the long-time Lintulahti-based headquarters of Tropicorp Racing Ælund have been temporarily closed off. The team's appeals to the AFIP, sustaining that the WGPC arm of the company bears no financial relation to the rallying division, have been rejected so far.

As a result of the temporary seizure of the Lintulahti base, and subsequent ban on the use of the team's branding until further notice, the team has been forced to enter WGPC20 under a new name: Tropicorp-Colorworks Grand Prix, in no way, shape, or form relating to Ælund Racing's CMYK skunkworks arm formerly attributed to their stillborn WGP2 academy team. To retain its Abovian operating license, the AFIP has greenlit Ælund Racing to move to a temporary administrative building in Vankkavalta. As a result, the planned migration of testing and development activites to the team's brand-new test facility in Tropicorp has been fast-tracked; TRÆ's Lintulahti-based aerodyamics laboratories, wind tunnel, and chassis manufacturing equipment, however, remains embargoed.

As Tropicorp Engineering is the company in charge of powerplant manufacture, Tropicorp-Colorworks is eligible to supply powerplants to customer teams for the WGPC20 season. However, since the circumstances prevent the team from manufacturing a brand new chassis, the long-standing AGP002 platform will see yet another evolution onto its aging base; despite the circumstances, the outfit aims to relinquish its constructors' title lost to the defunct Badai Angin, one way or another.
