While I was creating hockey players for St-Johnny-James, I've decided to use Île de Richelieu's players for their roster and Richelieu's national hockey team and league will be disbanded.

This is only for hockey. Richelieu's soccer players and leagues will remain.

We are less than a half-day til the host bid deadline. I will extend that to 5th of May, or 48 hours after an appropriate host bid comes up.

We bid to host.

Format

Aim for 36/40 teams, drawn into 4×9/10 groups. Each of these 4 groups will all play their games in Quintessence of Dust. Each group will play single round robin, playing 2 games every 48 hours, for 8/9 games total for each team. The top 4 from each group will qualify for the finals, which will be a seeded 16 team single elimination bracket. The playoffs are single game, no series.

Scorination

All games will be decided, by overtime, or shootout if needed, with a 3/2/1/0 points system. Tiebreakers will be head to head; for three-way ties, goal difference. The modified HCL scorination file from Kelssek that I used in previous tournaments I hosted will be used. Style mods will be permitted in the full range.

Assuming post-47 rankings exist (I can only find post-46) I will use them; if they don't exist, I'll create them myself, and use them. 2-3 points' worth of RP bonus will be available for each cutoff, plus a similar amount as a roster bonus. There will be a 50% roster penalty (removed once a roster is posted) for any ranked teams, escalating to 100% for any teams qualifying for the playoffs (again removed once a roster is posted).

Roleplaying

Details about the country and host venues will be provided and a small optional prompt given at each cutoff. As always using such prompts is entirely optional.

Experience

I think I have hosted 5 WCsoH: 11 & 12 as QoD, 31 as Hannasea, 42 as Græntfjall, 45 as Schutzenphalia and West Ruhntuhnkuhnland. And 2 WJHCs, 7 as SWR, 18 as Græntfjall. As QoD I have hosted a BoF, RWC, WBC, IAC, and some other smaller tournaments, and as various other nations, I have hosted some other tournaments.

Co-hosting

I am still open to finding a partner, including a less experienced partner who would be interested in gaining some experience. However, if no one is forthcoming, I believe myself capable of solo hosting.

Third party scorination

In the event I don't find a co-host I will seek out either a third party score viewer or scorinator for games played by QoD and Græntfjall.

I've received a co-host offer from Canadian Dominion. They are new to hosting, but have used xkoranate for their domestic league. Here's the proposed division of labour for the bid:

• The same format would be used. In IC terms, the groups would be split between Canadian Dominion and Quintessence of Dust.
• We would share a Google Sheet in which we would enter the RP bonuses.
• We would each scorinate half of the groups, whichever groups our own teams were not in to ensure neutrality.
• I would be available as an experienced host to provide any help if Canadian Dominion needed.

I've worked with newer hosts before (as well as more experienced ones!). Collaboration and regular contact are the most important things, the business of scorination should be fairly straighforward.
