Ranoria's Very Own:
NSCAA Rosters!

Permissions: Literally anything goes with these boyos, barring 'rona stuff.
Key: Top players starting, guys below them are their backup. Underlined players are considered to be above average, bold players are considered to be future all-stars
First up, the ones you're most familiar with...

Richardson University Governors

Quick Facts
Nickname: Governors
Colors: Red/White
Head Coach: Billy Garrett
Arena: Richardson Arena, 13,500
Located: Richardson, Ranoria
Accolades: NSCAA 13 Salamantica Conference Champions

Richardson is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the country. Located in the nation's capitol, they're known as a gridiron football school and are historically the nation's most dominant program on that front, but they generally field a respectable squad in basketball as well. Despite winning the conference in NSCAA 13, the Governors program collapsed that season due to being swept in this sport’s inaugural edition of the Richardson-Loyola-Istria rivalry. They’ve attacked recruiting hard though, with one young man in particular, Franklin Jones, looking to be a future star. Head coach Arnold Hilliard is in his third season now, as Markus Volgelstein was fired after the Loyola-Istria sweep (though he’s gone on to do great things in the IBC) - the team has consistently posted a winning record and made two final four appearances in his tenure, losing to eventual champion Ranoria State on both occasions.

Cold Hill University Buffalo

Quick Facts
Nickname: Buffalo
Colors: Maroon/Gold
Head Coach: Lennart Mayenburg
Arena: The Igloo - 14,000
Located: Cold Hill, Ranoria

Bundle up if you're going to this one! Cold Hill is in the northern reaches of an already cold country in Ranoria, but that's why they're traditionally a basketball school! While gridiron has definitively taken over as the school's primary sport, the basketball team is their oldest program, so you should be in for some exciting games!

Ranoria State University Wolfhounds
Quick Facts
Nickname: Wolfhounds
Colors: Black and Blue
Head Coach: Randal Harrington
Arena: Heron's Dome - 24,500
Located: Ranoria City, Ranoria
Accolades: NSCAA 13 Sweet 16

Located in the largest city in the country, Ranoria State is a huge school with powerhouse sports programs. They've won two of the last three national championships in basketball and look to be the prime contenders among Ranorian programs to actually do something in this competition. Recently fielded a Astor Francóis, who performed well in the IBC and Quebec.

Vricksinburg State University Pheasants

Quick Facts
School Name: Vricksinburg State University
Nickname: Pheasants
Colors: Brown and orange
Head Coach: Tobias Wilkow
Arena: Vricksinburg State Arena - 13,022
Located: Vricksinburg, Ranoria

One of the older universities in the nation, Vricksinburg is known as a gridiron school and holds its students to strict academic curriculum. If they actually manage to do anything significant, we will be nothing less than shocked, but they have entered and will likely conduct themselves in a professional manner. Expect a well coached team with heavy scheming to get shooters open.

University of Dietrich Snow Bears

Quick Facts
Nickname: Snow Bears
Colors: Sky Blue and White
Head Coach: Tucker Levin
Arena: Heritage Arena - 6,301
Located: Dietrich, Ranoria

As is a trend with this group, they're a gridiron football school first and foremost. The University of Dietrich is traditionally a conservative school with academic rigors, but in recent decades fraternities, sororities, and the sports teams have been breaking that mold. So if you happen to encounter a hungover player or two, don't be surprised.

Matthensville Polytechnic Institute

Quick Facts
Nickname: Cryptokleptics
Colors: Orange
Head Coach: Bochniak Ether
Arena: Moonshill Court - 9,400
Located: Matthensville, Ranoria
Accolades: NSCAA 13 DCIT Quarterfinalists

The cryptokleptics are an interesting lot. After a crypto craze took over the school some 34 years ago, students as a whole have identified themselves with it. In fact, it's part of the school's recruiting now. Those with an entrepreneur's spirit are welcome - the school's investing communities and courses mean that most students are able to pay off their loans before graduating. In fact, an alumni of MPI was part of the team that developed Ranoria's now wholly adopted digital currency system.

Oh, you wanted to know about basketball? Yeah, it's a joke to them. They don't care all that much about it. Famously barely made it to their first DCIT tournament game in NSCAA 13 because they didn’t know they were scheduled to play.

University of Rouyoutte Lions

Quick Facts
Nickname: Lions
Colors: Purple/Blue
Head Coach: Richard Henry
Arena: Rouyoutte Arena, 10,500

Rouyoutte is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the country. Located in one of Ranoria's larger cities, they're known as a stringent academic school and are historically the nation's most sought after large university for this purpose. They do still manage to field strong and respectable sporting teams in a variety of arenas, although championship aspirations and top recruits are limited due to rigorous expectations off the field.

DROP IT DOWN!: Back To The Future!

Postby TJUN-ia » Mon Mar 20, 2023 9:30 am

Back to the NSCAA, eh? Indeed! TJUN-ian Basketball is in an interesting place right now as while you can potentially feel the fires that took us to those famous highs die down, there are some who still think our best days as a program are still ahead of us and not behind...and need the NSCAA to prove that in some sort of sense. Last time we were here, a record 5 Schools made the Ultra 64 and 3 made the DCIT (with CPortside the odd ones out), but with many eyes from above looking down on the NSCAA as a sign for the future, all 8 of the schools will be hoping to impress in this new 10-conference set up. The Big Dance is always the goal and everyone will be hoping to make it, as always.

Notes
- By the Banijan calendar, the NSCAA occurs every 3rd year. In seasons that schools compete in the NSCAA, they do not compete in domestic basketball. In NSCAA years, domestic basketball continues, just without the NSCAA schools. So the last 15 years has looked like this. So Year 11 records shown are 2 seasons before NSCAA 13, and Year 12 is record in season prior to NSCAA 13, while Year 13 is NSCAA 13.
Year 1: NSCAA 9
Year 2: Everyone competes domestically
Year 3: Everyone competes domestically
Year 4: NSCAA 10
Year 5: Everyone competes domestically
Year 6: Everyone competes domestically
Year 7: NSCAA 11
Year 8: Everyone competes domestically
Year 9: Everyone competes domestically
Year 10: NSCAA 12
Year 11: Everyone competes domestically

Year 13: NSCAA 13
Year 14: Everyone competes domestically
Year 15: Everyone competes domestically

- All players are both Banijan and male unless otherwise specified
- BCSG stands for Banijan Collegiate Sports Group. It is the Banijan equivalent of Division I of the NCAA. There are 72 member institutions of this group.
- Banijan domestic regular season has 28 games, consisting of 8-12 non-conference games and 16-20 conference games, depending on the conference. 16 out of 59 total teams make the tournament, seeded 1-16. The 8 conference champions(there are no conference tournaments),and 8 at-large sides as picked by a selection committee. The first 2 rounds are Best of 3, all occurring at the home court of the higher seed. 3rd round is Best of 5(2-2-1 format), and Championship series is Best of 7(2-2-1-1-1 format).
- The BCSG's automatic qualifiers are anyone who made the national semifinals in Year 13 or Year 14. That made for 6 automatic qualifiers- University of Moravica, Loyola-Istria, Kizza I College, Hangaza Tech, University of Kitara, and Bunyoro A&M. The BCSG took a vote on the last two schools, and after fierce politicking, Northern Moravica University, as well as Zakuta State University, were voted in to fill out Banija's 8.
- Banijan players are quite proud players. Therefore, they will talk trash, they will show off, and they will show boat. They will talk trash to the fans and about each other. They'll try to look fancy and go for the highlight reel play, even at the expense sometimes of the safe play- sometimes it works out, sometimes it does not.
- There is no regular season camaraderie among these fanbases, as Banijan fans emphasize their rivalries with one another. There's generally camaraderie once the postseason rolls around, as Banijans will root for Banijan schools, and then other NSCF schools, in the Ultra 64- although schools will never root for their archrivals(aka Northern Moravica fans will never root for Loyola-Istria)

Head Coach: Madi Jata. 51 years old, 3rd season as the head coach.
Defense: 1-2-2 zone
Offense plays through their big men.

After winning the NSCAA 13 title, they had to rebuild on the fly- Sadio Bartaba left to take an assistant job with the NT, while their best player, Khoza, went pro. Madi Jata took the reigns as head coach, and simply picked up right where they had left off. They're the reigning national champions, as well as the defending NSCAA champions- so the expectations are skyhigh on this football school to win another NSCAA title.

This team is built around their senior phenom from Mytanija, Bane Jevnik. With a Final Four appearance two cycles ago, there are high ambitions from this basketball school here.

Starting Lineup
PG #7 Hamza Muani. 6'1. Freshman. Star potential.
SG #4 Koro Joesa. 6'4. Sophomore. JUCO transfer from a local community college.
SF #0 Bane Jevnik. 6'5. Senior. Mytanija. Superstar, title hopes live and die with him.
PF #19 Robert Söderholm. Farfadillis(Fröndt). 6'8. Senior. The senior was born and raised in Banija, to parents who were refugees from the last Farf Civil War. He's a scrapper- a defensive maestro, who can guard multiple positions, as well as grabbing rebounds and hustles like crazy. Known for getting into fights however- he's a hot head. Doesn't need to score to affect the game.
C #2 Cornelius Misiani. 7'0. Senior.

Head Coach: Musaazi Kaba. 51 years old. First year on the job- old coach fired after not making BCSG Playoffs last season. He's got three triplet sons starting for the team- despite that, all are actually supremely talented. Can their father hold them all accountable in year 1 under the bright lights in the Banijan capitol?
Defense: Man to man

Starting Lineup
PG #3 Jemussu Jarata. Sophomore. Transfer from Mamari University.
SG #4 Ilman Kaba. 6'4. Freshman. Oldest of his triplet sons playing for the team. Considered the least talented, but hardest-working, of the triplet sons.
SF #14 Ochola Kaba. 6'7. Freshman. Youngest of his triplet sons playing for the team. Considered the best defender of the triplet sons.
PF #21 Kizza Kaba. 6'8. Freshman. Third of Kaba's triplet sons playing for the team. Considered the most talented among the three; shares a name with the school's namesake, His Majesty Kizza I(may he rest in peace).
C #11 Perica Cabarkapa. 7'1. Senior. Farfadillis(Kruviš). Moved to Banija at age 10, decided to play basketball when he was cut from the soccer team by a HS coach who told him he was too damn lanky. Too slow to have a pro game- but built perfectly for the college game. Big, thick, with elite post-up moves and vision. Has no jump shot.

Head Coach: Saihou Uster. 51 years old. 2nd season as head coach. Two-time IBC champion as a shooting guard(starter at IBC 30, came off the bench at IBC 31), he knows what it takes to win. He took over U of K last year and shockingly led them to the semifinals, which gave them an automatic qualification to this year's NSCAAs. One of two Banijan schools making their debut at this tournament, he expects to do some serious damage.

He's built the team in his own image as a player- not the most talented team, but physical, hard-nosed, and a bunch of elite defenders. Not enough guys who can create their own shot, but it's never going to be fun to play these guys.

Defense: Man-To-Man.

DRAWKLAND'S CHOSEN EIGHT

    NSCAA 14 Participants:
  1. Sadeg State University Skyhawks
  2. Elmanden District University Mechanors
  3. Ducentu State University Eagles
  4. Cavsar University Gladiators
  5. Old Mountain University Northerners
  6. Drawk Corps University
  7. University of Raikennax Red Knights
  8. Cemmendy Tech Cyberpunks

Quick notes: In Drawkland, college usually lasts from age 20 to 25, and they're 5-year institutions (Nv, Fr, So, Jr, Sn). Basketball fields mixed-gender teams. Most athletes retire between 40-50, and most people don't retire until they're around 100. We're really tall. That's normal for our species. Bench players marked with * are typically the 6th man. IC'ly the NSCAA is held every 3 or 4 years.

Sadeg is one of Drawkland's most historic cities, and its namesake university is no exception. It is debatably one of the oldest constantly-running institutions of learning in all of Sonnel, depending on how you count the division between the University and the Spartan Academy. It has always been one to start off strong with winning sports when they first become popular, and basketball was perhaps the most prominent example of this. They've been a contending force since the inception of the collegiate league.

Without a doubt, Sadeg State University was the most dominant team in NSCAA 7. In the Gravity Conference, they attained a perfect record, swept the conference championship, and went on to be seeded #1 in all of the Ultra 64. They were on a hot streak, throwing down left and right, an unstoppable force. 31 consecutive wins, and they seemed like nobody could match them. Unless you were the University of Cenial. In the final game, the one that mattered most, Sadeg State lost 59-67 in the most disappointing loss of the entire NSCAA.

After several seasons of disappointing results for the Skyhawks, NSCAA 10 was crucial to prove that the NSCAA 7 wasn't just a fluke, and that Sadeg State was still a true power in the NSCAA. This started off well, with Sadeg State taking control of the Sky Blue Conference and winning the conference championship. Ranked #5, they came into the Ultra 64 with a chip on their shoulder and a bracket where they could dominate. And dominate they did, all the way to the Final Four for the second time, and into the final for the second time. They may not have been undefeated at this point, but they were finally back to the promised land. At the time, only one school had ever been to the NSCAA final twice, that being Loudon Empire University from Newmanistan. They lost both those matchups. Sadeg State couldn't afford to fail again. So this time, they didn't. A five-point win over Banija's University of Moravica was enough to finally crown the Skyhawks champions, the second Drawkian team to do so.

NSCAA 12 was a return to the form everybody expected from the Skyhawks after their NSCAA 10 victory. In a decently tough Five Star Conference, Sadeg State cruised to a regular season and tournament conference championship, garnering the #3 seed in the ensuing Ultra 64. It was their highest seed since NSCAA 7, but the result was much worse. In a historic first-round upset rivaling the failures of Cemmendy Tech, the Skyhawks were blasted by almost 30 points at the hand of bubble team Richmond Racing School, and sent home much earlier than anybody anticipated. NSCAA 13 was at least some improvement. Returning to the Five Star conference, Sadeg State once again ran the table, but lost to a surging University of Hondo in the Sweet 16, ending the hopes for a second title run.

Elmanden is a city in eastern Malicollet, close to Ducentu and the closest real city to Cemmendy. Elmanden District University is a school devoted to mainly the study of Information Technology and various types of Engineering, their programs are in the highest tiers of the nation's. Another part of the technological triumvirate in Drawkland's mideast, Elmanden is a destination for many on the physical side of computers and other such instruments.

In Drawkland, Elmanden has quickly risen to be a sort of mini-dynasty, winning the domestic tournament twice in recent memory. Momentum is definitely on their side.

In NSCAA 7, Elmanden were ranked 5th overall in the bracket. Unfortunately, they lost 65-101 to the Instituto Universitario Politicnico de Carabobo, the 60th seed (who were walloped by our own Metropolon next round). The loss was absolutely humiliating and many pointed fingers at bad officiating, but it was too late. After such an embarrassment, Elmanden was determined to return with fire, and that they did. In NSCAA 8, they grabbed the 2nd seed overall in the tournament, and got poetic justice by defeating their first-round opponent 100-65. They easily cruised through the tournament, and defeated Keisler College from Newmanistan in the Final Four to ensure an all-Drawkian NSCAA championship game. Against Old Mountain University, a sort of cinderella story (as far as Drawkians are concerned), Elmanden flexed their might once more and defeated the Mountaineers 95-76 to claim the NSCAA 8 title.

NSCAA 10 would be a return to great heights, as Elmanden would dominate the Woodland Conference and go on to capture the #3 seed in the Ultra 64. On top of that, they gained their second Final Four berth. A chance to not only make the final again, but to possibly have an all-Drawkian championship. This wouldn't be on the cards though, and the University of Moravica would move on to the final. Thankfully Sadeg State won the game and took the spotlight off Elmanden's failure on a national level, but the Mechanor Faithful are still left wondering what could've been.

Since then, the Mechanors haven't been able to replicate that earlier success. Most recently, NSCAA 13 featured EDU rolling over the Eternal Conference in both regular season and tournament play, but they suffered a revenge loss to none other than the University of Moravica in the Sweet 16.

Ducentu State University is the prestigious university out of Ducentu, the city wedged at the border of 3 territories - Malicollet, Kanyoet, and Ellzidanet. Like Elmanden and Cemmedy, it's a big member of the modern computing industry, the three cities form a sort of triumvirate as far as the IT business goes. Data science is the big major coming out of the college, but of course all types and manners of engineering are mainly studied here. For some reason, Law is also a common pursuance.

After missing NSCAA 7, Ducentu came to NSCAA 8 with the intention of making a big splash, and that they did. After easily cruising to the Sweet Sixteen, Ducentu were pitted against the ultimate evil known as the University of Cenial, the NSCAA 7 champions who brutally and horribly defeated the previously-undefeated Sadeg State in the final. Ducentu, while not being present in the tournament leading up to that loss, knew how important it was to slay the beast before it grew any bigger. A 78-94 win that absolutely flattened UCenial arose, and Ducentu were the Drawkian heroes for awhile longer. Then in the Elite Eight they came face to face with Elmanden District College, and you know how that turned out.

NSCAA 10 would be Ducentu State's breakout cycle. They went 27-1 in the Eternal Conference and won the conference tournament, the single loss easily being enough to net them the #1 seed for the Ultra 64. The title ambitions were unexpected, but the Eagles planned to capitalize on them as soon as possible. Things went smoothly, of course, until they reached Concord Heights Beauty School in the Elite Eight. It was only a matter of time until the dream came crashing down, and despite a surprisingly good season overall, it was impossible to not feel a tinge of regret.

Though the Eagles had made some reasonably deep runs in the Ultra 64, it felt like NSCAA 13 was a make-it-or-break-it cycle for Ducentu State. Instead of backing down from the challenge, they surprised Drawkians and the world. Despite a middling performance in the Calania Conference, the Eagles made a big run come tournament time. They made their first Final Four, hilariously knocking out Cavsar in that semifinal before unceremoniously losing to Loyola-Istria in the final. The missed chance at a title hurt, but it did save State's inclusion for future NSCAA editions, which is a big plus.

Cavsar University is a school in the west of the Iarocavet territory. Cavsar isn't a huge city, it could be considered more of a college town near the mountains, and thus Cavsar doesn't get much attention. In gridiron, the university is a formidable foe, but the basketball team has always been lacking until recently. In the times of old, Cavsar featured many combat sports between skilled athletes, hence why their nickname are the Gladiators.

Cavsar struggled with irrelevance in basketball until very recently, when coach Les Benson came and changed the program around for the better. Now the Gladiators aren't just another team to wish they could make the big dance, but instead are contenders for the title year after year.

Despite being a new addition to the Drawkland slate of NSCAA schools in NSCAA 10, Cavsar got to work proving their worth. They won the Pink 15 conference handily and got the #11 seed in the tournament. With the way the bracket was set up, they'd potentially have to deal with the first Drawkian-on-Drawkian matchup in the Sweet 16 (against Cemmendy Tech) if they made it that far. Cavsar held up their end of the bargain, but unfortunately Cemmendy lost to Concord Heights ... who in turn, defeated Cavsar as well on their way to finally being beaten by a Drawkian school in the Elite Eight.

NSCAA 12 would be the big breakthrough for Cavsar, not just in basketball, but for the university's entire image. The Orange 16 Conference was the most stacked in the league, with seven whole schools making the Ultra 64. Cavsar managed to come away with the regular season title, though it wasn't easy. They almost won the conference tournament, and got a favorable matchup against the #7 conference seed Starksville Medical Institute. They lost, allowing the lowest conference seed to be a tournament champion. This raised a lot of questions about their viability in the Ultra 64 ... but they proved everybody wrong by making it to the final against Hondo. Then they got spanked and lost the championship despite being one win away!

How did the Gladiators follow up this performance? A 29-1 record in the Shango Conference, getting the #2 seed in the entire Ultra 64, and making a second consecutive Final Four appearance (the second Drawkian school to do so since Corinth City University did in NSCAA 7 and 8). This time, instead of waiting until the championship game to lose in hilarious fashion, they went ahead and lost to Ducentu State in the Final Four instead!

In short, Cavsar sucks and everybody hates them. Sure they could try to come back and win a title for redemption later, like their NSCF peers in Sadeg State, but they won't because they're straight up garbage! BOOOOOOO #CAVSUX

Old Mountain University is, well, an old university near a mountain. It's situated in the north of Drawk City (hence the Northerners nickname), technically in a suburb outside of the city but still claiming to be apart of the greater area (which is is). It's like that one college that everyone knows but forgets about. They have a wide assortment of degrees, but considering its size, location, and atmosphere, it's often described as "the community college that's not." It's a commuter university which is chill and renowned for its low rates, and not really hated by anyone.

Old Mountain didn't qualify for NSCAA 7, seeing as they're more of a laid-back program that doesn't really get much attention or success. After a wild upset qualification into NSCAA 8, they made the most of it, miraculously grabbing the 4th seed spot from the bracket and unloading points upon points on their opposition. Throughout the Ultra 64, they never allowed more than 70 points, and won by double-digit margins until the Final Four where they only beat Corinth City by 8 points. In their unprecedented run to the final, however, the magic ran out at the very end. They may have lost by 19 points to Elmanden in the most important game of their history, but they captured all of our hearts in the process.

The Northerners hadn't really made a big impact in the NSCAA since, with their best performance being the most recent: an Elite Eight appearance in NSCAA 13 (where they were vanquished by Ducentu State). Still, since their shock introduction in NSCAA 8, Old Mountain is no longer a pushover or a cinderella school. They've carved out an interesting legacy so far, and maybe they'll finally win a title to prove their worth for good.

Drawk Corps U is a university in Drawkland, the main campus of which is located in Drawk City, Drawkland's largest metropolitan area of several million people. It's owned and operated by the Drawk Corps, which is the main corps registered in the National Corps System of Drawkland. All of its students are members of the Drawk Corps. Since the Drawk Corps is a national organization, there are many supporters of the university nationwide, and some enrolled online or on other, smaller, campuses.

Drawk Corps also owns a club in the DBO of the same name, and the university team is mainly considered a "feeder" for it. However, both teams are very good, considered the best in the nation by many, within their respective leagues. Out of the many centuries of Drawkian university basketball play, the Drawk Corps University basketball team has currently racked up 107 national titles over its history.

In short, over Drawk Corps University's long tenure in the NSCAA, they've done exactly jack shit. Their best shot at a title run was last cycle, in NSCAA 13, where they went 13-1 in the Shining Sun Conference and earned a nice seeding in the tournament. They lost in the second round. If our count is right, the Corps has never reached the Elite Eight in seven attempts. If it weren't for the reputation of the Corps itself, the University would have been ejected from Drawkland's NSCAA slate long ago. Maybe that time is coming soon.

At this point, Corps University has gone from being the team to fear inside Drawkland's borders to nearly a laughing stock everywhere else. Many Drawkian neutrals will laugh at the normally egotistical DCU fans being served a taste of their own medicine, but maybe that's what Corps U needs to finally get over the hump.

Raikennax was an ancient city known as a crossroads and melting pot in Drawkian culture, long before the nation itself was founded. The closest major city to Valsum, the volcano in the center of Drawkland, Raikennax has always been one of the bigger and more relevant cities not located in the north. Due to its notoriety, the University of Raikennax was established very early in Drawkian history. The sports programs weren't born as quickly, but once collegiate sports were starting to popularize, UofR hopped on the train and has been contending ever since.

Though they had a recent period of rebuilding, the Red Knights have returned to prominence on the hardwood and are looking to bring that domestic success to the NSCAA stage. With the formerly great Corinth City University being embarrassingly bad in NSCAA 12, the door opened for a school new to the NSCAA to have a chance. Raikennax managed to fit the bill, and the hope was that they could compete at a high level in their first cycle, NSCAA 13. Things seemed to be going well when they won the competitive North Coast Conference, but they ended up being the only Drawkian school eliminated in the first round of the Ultra 64, a huge blowout loss to Mount Ester despite being a Top 10 seed.

There's plenty of room for improvement though, so we'll see how they fare.

Cemmendy Tech is a university devoted to the technological. Its students are some of the most well-versed in the computer realm as some of those who've created the machines in the first place. The mascot is the "Cyberpunks," one that was chosen by the students after the advent of advanced technology and the term for users of it arose.

For NSCAA 7, Cemmendy easily won their conference, a fantastic record and a great tournament showing granting them the 3rd seed out of all the Ultra 64. That, however, inexplicably did no good as they lost 84-85 in a heartbreaker to the unknown Shibusen School of Aji No Moto, who was unceremoniously dumped by a 19-point margin to a Vannish school. After such a disappointing result the previous cycle, they were out for blood in NSCAA 8. They were ranked a lower 7th in the tournament, but still had a great draw that they could go far with. But instead, they got smacked by Turbani Tech of Valanora, who dumped them out of the first round with a 70-81 scoreline.

So you think ... surely they can't get upset in the bracket 3 NSCAAs in a row?! Of course they didn't! In NSCAA 9 they were actually the lower seed, at #39, so when they lost to the Cenian Academy of Science and Technology in the first round, it wasn't technically an upset! Haha ... ha. It'd be funnier if Drawkland as a whole wasn't destroyed in NSCAA 9.

With all these losses, you'd expect Cemmendy Tech to make a change. At least with NSCAA 10, they rebounded from their shoddy conference stage in NSCAA 9, instead winning the Newlands Conference both in the regular season and the conference tournament. They even netted the #6 seed for the Ultra 64. You've heard this story before. Cemmendy were massively favored, facing a nobody in Nostsian University ... and they won. What?! Finally, the glass ceiling is broken! Cemmendy are going to make a run this year guys! This is it! This is it! Now they- oh shit, they lost in the next round to the University of Concord Heights. LOL. Cyberpunks gonna Cyberpunk.

NSCAA 12 was the same soup, just reheated. Miraculous start in the Calania Conference, easily topping the conference table and winning the tournament with little issue. They were also one of the last schools to take a loss in the regular season. The Cyberpunks garnered a respectable #6 seed in the Ultra 64 ... and then they went and lost in the first round to Universidad de Hispinas. It would be funny if the consistent failure wasn't so sad. Actually, never mind. It's still hilarious.

In NSCAA 13 was finally a break from the norm. Cemmendy Tech overcame their demons, once again comfortably winning their conference and garnering a great seed. They even made it all the way to the Elite Eight ... where they were dumped out by 3 points to the eventual champions Loyola-Istria.

The leash is getting shorter, and while the Cyberpunks are a consistent threat to get a good seed in the Ultra 64, if they don't go on a deep run soon their time in the NSCAA slate may be over. Good luck!

South Newlandian NSCAA Rosters

General Notes
Basketball is not one of the main South Newlandian sports. In an already very small country, this means that basketball interest will be quite low both country-wide, as well as in the respective schools. Both the Egrets and Red Elephants will draw more fans to their baseball and college football games, even when foreign stars come to visit. On that note, most of the top-tier South Newlandian athletes go into baseball, so these basketball teams will feature a lot of foreign players, much like the gridiron teams. However, with the entry into NSCAA, the two schools are at least taking that seriously, and have brought some star coaches into the buildings. Can’t get embarrassed in front of the rival schools, of course. Also, both teams will have pretty deep rosters, so only looking at the starters when evaluating them is probably a mistake.

Elephant Valley University
Red Elephants
Elephant Valley, South Newlandia

The biggest South Newlandian University is also the leading school in South Newlandia when it comes to baseball, and are hoping to apply themselves well to basketball as well. They are a general purpose university, so you can find students studying just about any topic here, which of course makes it an easy spot for recruitment. If you someone who went to university abroad in South Newlandia or did an exchange year, odds are, they went to EVU.

Stadium:
EVU Sports Complex (2,000)
Elephant Valley University has their own dedicated building for all kinds of indoor sports events, which can include chess, handball, volleyball, and other niche sports; and it can feature basketball games as well. In this configuration, it’ll have enough space for 2,000 fans at the same time. The arena is close to the centre of the university, and should be easy enough to access.

Colours:
Just like the other Red Elephant sports teams, they’ll mostly play in red and grey.

Head Coach:
Faraba Savaneh, Banija, 58
The Red Elephants are bringing an experienced leader into the building in former Banijan IBC star Savaneh. The former Power Forward also was the head coach for Loyola-Istria for three seasons. Just like he did with the Blue Thunder, he’ll run a 1-2-2 defense, and try to play through the bigs as much as possible; a strategy that might not entirely mesh with his roster.

Starters:
Image

Point Guard: Pili Colley, Banija, Junior
Colley stands out as an excellent defender, while being a pass-first point guard on offense. However, while he’s not exactly a reliable three-point shooter, the 6’1’’ junior possesses surprising speed and can easily score points attacking the rim.

Shooting Guard: Hasimou Kadu, Banija, Senior
Kadu, meanwhile, is a pretty strong three point shooter. The 6’4’’ senior is also pretty good from the mid-range, preferring an old-school approach; he’ll also be the creative mind for the team on the court. Might be the best player on the team.

Small Forward: Yang Jo-Seob, Chromatika, Freshman
In terms of pure talent, Jo-Seob might be the best player on this roster. However, as a freshman with room to grow figuratively and literally, Yang will also be seeing the bench more than the other starters might. Nevertheless, the instincts under the rim are there, and this stage could be just the right situation for him.

Power Forward: Antionette Alikova, Chromatika, Sophomore
While she’s slightly more experienced than her fellow starting forward, she doesn’t have quite as much pure upside. The tall Chromatik is a reliable rebounder that is probably going to lead the team in boards most days. She’s a decent three-point shooter, though nothing outstanding.

Center: Martin Poole, Chromatika, Sophomore
Poole is probably the worst player in the starting signup, with a weak-ish center something that both South Newlandian teams share in common. This doesn’t mean that Poole is bad, but he’s not exactly outstanding. He’s decent at getting boards, but definitely no stretch five.

Backups:

Point Guard: Yi Yuchen, Chromatika, Freshman
Yuchen is a very serviceable ballhandler to back up Colley, but definitely lacks his experience and quickness. Still, with EVU hoping to develop the Chromatik, he’ll get decent minutes.

Shooting Guard: Danny Burns, Hannasea, Junior
At 6’3’’, Burns stands just a hair smaller than Kadu, and is a Kadu-Lite in other ways, too. He’s good, but not quite as good at threes, and doesn’t have all the experience and creativity either. Nevertheless, he’s a reliable player, especially on defence, and will be an asset with good minutes.

Small Forward: Isaac Jones, Hannasea, Junior
The 6’6’’ junior might be the more base-line reliable player compared to Yang. He’s a pretty good shooter, for example, but the skill ceiling isn’t quite as high with him. Expect him to take significant minutes, though; especially when Yang needs some extra rest.

Power Forward: Aarav Chandra, South Newlandia, Senior

Center: Ahana Clarke, South Newlandia, Sophomore

Third Stringers:

Point Guard: Mark White, South Newlandia, Freshman

Shooting Guard: Norah Hussain, South Newlandia, Senior

Small Forward: Adam Wells, Nova Anglicana, Sophomore
Calling Wells a third-string player is pretty disingenuous, with the sports management major having pretty decent upside, especially as a defender. The 6’4’’ sophomore is definitely going to see the field, with the Red Elephants extremely deep at this specific position; you might also see Jones playing some Power Forward to get two of the players listed at SF on the field.

Power Forward: Henry Wilson, South Newlandia, Junior

Center: Valentin Arnaud, South Newlandia, Freshman

Ratzupalfu University of Nature
Egrets

Ratzupalfu, South Newlandia

After competing with EVU in college baseball and college football, the second-biggest college in South Newlandia is going to open another frontline, taking on their rivals on the basketball court as well. Ratzupalfu is traditionally a university focused on the natural sciences, but with a growing push to compete at various sports, RUoN has started to open up their curriculum. While EVU tends to be favoured in the matchups, the Egrets can definitely give them a run for their money.

Stadium:
RUoN Sports Gym (236)
Different to Elephant Valley, RUoN does not have its own dedicated sports arena, and will be using their sports gym to host the games. It has seats on one side of the court, but not exactly many of them, and the entire enterprise may feel a bit cramped at times.

Colours:
The Egrets mainly play in green, yellow, and white.

Head Coach:
Markus Volgelstein, Ranoria, 50s
The Egrets have successfully one-upped the Red Elephants with an even more experienced coach. Volgelstein used to coach Loyola-rivals Richardson, who the Egrets are going to meet in conference play. After that, he managed to play in an IBC final with Hannasea, a nation he will now coach players from.

Starters:
Image

Point Guard: Aspen Girogino, Chromatika, Freshman
The Egrets start out with a bit of a question mark in Girogino, who is definitely a fine ball handler, but will develop a lot to be a reliable scoring threat. He could also step up his defensive game. He does have time to develop, for sure, and the upside is there.

Shooting Guard: Anna-Maria "Annie" Becker, Ranoria, Junior
The 6’3’’ Ranorian is a great shooter, especially from three-point range. She’s also skilled at creating her own shots, and is definitely a scoring threat. Becker is a fairly physical player, and will also be a valuable addition on defense.

Small Forward: Kigonga Luswa, Banija, Freshman
Luswa is certainly one of the most interesting players on the roster. For raw ability, he might be the best player playing for a South Newlandian team. He’s able to do it all, pass, shoot, drive, create his own shot, and he even stands out as an excellent defender. Whether he’s going to focus on the basketball is the real question with him, in addition to academics.

Power Forward: Niklas Schäfer, Ranoria, Senior
Standing tall at 6’9’’, the Ranorian is a nice player off the court, likely to ascend to a leader for this team and a guide for Luswa. On the court, he’s playing aggressively, making him a great rebounder and defender; his scoring abilities aren’t as refined, however.

Center: Darterrius Hudson, Hannasea, Sophomore
Hudson is 6’9’’ as well as Schäfer. Hudson is going to be a pretty strong rebounder for the team, while also being under the rim for any put-backs that might be needed. He’s also a pretty sound defender.

Backups:

Point Guard: Alain Liu, Nova Anglicana, Freshman
If Girogino turns out to be bad, the Egrets have another young prospect waiting in the wings. Liu, the 5’10’’ business major, is a slightly better shooter compared to the Chromatik, especially considering his size; but Girogino is probably the first choice for assists.

Shooting Guard: Jeanette Pouvon, Chromatika, Freshman
Pouvon has excellent upside, and will definitely see the court a lot. She’s an excellent shooter, which will be her bread an butter, as she’s definitely going to need some developing time for most of the other stuff.

Small Forward: Sanyu Lutonnya, Banija, Sophomore
Should Luswa not be available for one reason or another, the Egrets have an excellent backup option in Lutonnya. At 6’8’’, she’s a fantastic defender, able to go toe to toe with pretty much anyone. She’s also a good shooter from beyond the arc, but she lacks some of the creativity and raw talent that Luswa has. That said, she’s definitely a good Small Forward that will get minutes one way or another.

Power Forward: Matai Levine, Ha’Yarok, Senior
Levine is an experienced player, much like Schäfer, who can lead the young players. At basketball, Levine is pretty solid, a decent rebounder and defender. Defense is a theme for this bench in general.

Center: Lennard Richter, South Newlandia, Junior

Third Stringers:

Point Guard: Aariv Rojas, South Newlandia, Senior

Shooting Guard: Ghalen Rogers, Hannasea, Freshman
Much like with Wells, it’s unfair to call Rogers a third-string player, the young 6’5’’ freshman will definitely get his minutes. However, he’s still quite raw, and not quite ready for regular high-stakes moments yet.

Small Forward: Amelie Sommer, South Newlandia, Sophomore

Power Forward: Fiete Haas, South Newlandia, Junior

Center: Marius Rolland, South Newlandia, Senior

The leader of the team continues to be Courtney Larkin. She has tremendous poise and is a very accurate shooter. Add in the fact that she simply sees the court very well, and she is a true star. Fans of the team were relieved when she recently declared that she will return for her senior season. Tara McDowell has been emerging as of late as superstar on the boards.

F/C: #45- Stacie Levison (6'9"- Freshman) Major: Undecided, GPA: 2.6

Katrina Pavlova is a dominating force in the paint within Cassadaigua, so this should translate well to the NSCAA Tournament. With a full year of experience behind her at this level now, she'll only get better. Ashley Slayton was one of the best freshman in the entire country, and the general youth of the starting five has fans very excited about the future as well as the present.

F/C: #53- Kailee Bellows (6'8"- Freshman) Major- Chemistry, GPA: 3.4

Grande Mountain graduated three starters, and five people in total from last year's squad, so the expectations were lower for them during the year. They still managed to play well, with the backcourt being the best aspect of the team. The school is coming off a good run in NSCAA 13.

F/C: #41- Lily Bennett (6'9"- Freshman) Major: General Engineering Studies, GPA: 2.7

The Brats graduated two of their starters, and unfortunately for them, they were the top two players on the team. Fortunately, Carlee Bryant did a fantastic job stepping up in her new role as a starter, and that allowed the team to employ the same system without missing a beat. This school is known for good play in the conference stages of the NSCAA, but losing prematurely in the Ultra 64.

F/C: #32- Jenna Clouston (6'7"- Freshman) Major: Jewelry & Accessories GPA: 3.6

During the regular season, CHBS had a typical season that their fans expect, but they got especially hot in the tournament, making it all the way to the final against bitter rivals, UCH. They return much of their roster, so maybe they can go on a similar run here as well.

F/C: #54- Chelsie Elliott (6'9"- Freshman), Major: Pharmacy, GPA: 2.5

Had a pretty similar season this year as they did the previous one, but got a big win over Brat Tech to move into the Final Four, where they were ousted by the Beauty School. The balanced approach of the team is very effective, as you never know will be the featured player on any given day.

After one the best performances in school history, ESC gets the traditional spot in the tournament for a mid-major within Cassadaigua. Wotherspoon is deadly from three-point land, and Mattison is not only tall but very strong on the glass. Worthington is obsessed with life on Sonnel, so any travel there she will really enjoy.

For the first time, Brattleboro University appears in the NSCAA Tournament, and can show the world that the city has more than one strong athletic school. Courtney Messier is the leader of this team, and as a freshman, there is hope that she can lead this team back to several tournaments like this one. She initially committed to Grande Mountain University, but backed out at the last second, leading many to wonder why.

Note: If you are wondering about Seth Johnson College, they simply did not have a good enough season this year.

Depth chart is in descending order. Obviously the players listed as "starters" start most of the time, but for the "bench" players the higher one on the list is likely to be starting over the lower one.

Universidad Politécnica Autónoma del Metro-Boca Rana
¡Viva Zorillos!

STADIUM: Centro Esqueda, 7,810
COACH: Franco Savedra
COLORS: Black and white. Mascot is Zorro, a skunk

ONE OF GRAN SAGUARO'S oldest secular universities, the Universidad Politécnica Autónoma del Metro-Boca Rana (UPAM) is perhaps among of the most famous in the country. Located in the heart of downtown San Armando, Gran Saguaro's primate city and capital, the Boca Rana neighborhood evolved from a working class district of textile mills and distilleries into a bohemian, dynamic area beloved by Gran Saguaro's artists, innovators, and cultural leaders (UPAM strongly rejects the notion that Boca Rana has become "gentrified", and especially the accusation that the university has contributed to such a phenomenon). UPAM offers the perfect mix of urban life and secluded college town feel — the university is contained by a massive, waterfront-adjacent, seismically-active campus block affectionately called "University City", to provide peace of mind for the students but easy access to all that San Armando has to offer.

UPAM is also a world-class research university, on the forefront of Saguareño innovation; UPAM's labs have seen the development of, among others, Plas-Nex, an eternally non-degradable plastic; alduprasine, or the "temporary sober" pill; and a strain of wheat that can grow in nearly 200-degree-celsius temperatures. Nevertheless, UPAM has so much more to offer than just the stellar Kiff College of Sciences; the university boasts a top-notch College of Business, the Abner Trujillo College of Liberal Arts, the Zwillman College of Design (housed in an expressionist beige building along the inner waterfront, which can be best described as "bubbling"), the Morales School of Law, the Raquel Nickelman College of Mathematics, and the SuperColegio, home to UPAM's undeclared-major students and an eight-story black-and-white block synonymous with the university.

UPAM is not limited, however, to being solely an academic school! Our oceanside location features plenty of perks; the most fun of which is UPAM's one-kilometer private beach, open only to UPAM residents (and selected guests) 24/7 (when not being utilized for beach volleyball) and patrolled by student lifeguards. The students in the History and Anthropology department operate a free-access museum, and the Botany students have begun a process of outfitting every large building with a rooftop community garden. The Geology department students actively monitor the seismic fault that UPAM sits on; the flexible metal bridge over the fault is a popular selfie and first-kiss spot. UPAM is home to over nine different fraternities, and seven sororities; thirty-two dorms; an honors college, where the students live in Honors Tower, a spacious tudor-revival home (because the Honors Tower was built in 1971, there are too many honors students for the tower — most honors college students live in the adjacent Mendoza Heights 16-story brick building constructed in 2004); and of course, eighteen highly-ranked varsity sports.

UPAM's College Basketball team is the most university's popular sport by a good margin — the team has found past domestic success, but stalled in recent years. This tournament may offer an opportunity for revitalization.

San Basilio
¡Andale, Monarcas!

STADIUM: Pabellón Mezzasalma, 6,009
COACH: Bernardo Segura
COLORS: Green and gold. Mascot is Loreley, a butterfly with a green sweater. They are the "monarchs".

TUCKED INTO THE COSTERAS mountain range in Gran Saguaro's Humboldt state, San Basilio is the oldest still-existing university in the nation, founded as a mission for the Pomo in 1802. San Basilio transferred from a mission to a university in 1849, and, located just north of the urban metropolis Yerba Buena, became one of the leading educational institutions in Early Gran Saguaro. The school is incredibly proud of its history and acknowledges the past injustices dealt to the natives with a nice plaque and memorial garden.

A small Jesuit school, San Basilio has turned out a disproportionate amount of leading thinkers, including nearly 60% of the Saguareño clergy. Other alumni include Franco Pérez Ross, Gran Saguaro's national poet and acclaimed writer; Gabriel de Vega, a prominent 20th-century legal theorist; Angelina O. Montoya, noted conservationist who saved the Árbol de Josué from extinction; and seven Saguareño presidents.

The school is notable as well for its athletic output — multiple San Basilio sports teams have gone on to win national championships, namely gridiron, basketball, and baseball. The basketball team is probably the most successful; this is the first time San Basilio has had the opportunity to compete in an international championship, and provides a chance for the Monarcas to prove their mettle.

Tecnológico de Montesur
¡Dale, Dale, Dale, Azul!

STADIUM: Arena Campos
COACH: Inés Cerrado
COLORS: Blue and white. Mascot is Beto, the robot. They are the "robotos".

THE LARGEST AND MOST prestigious engineering school in the country, "TecMo", as it as known (or just "Tec" for those who go to the school or live near Montesur, a suburb of San Armando) is a top-level research university notable for a complete lack of a liberal arts curriculum or humanities courses. Athletics are, in effect, a hobby for students at the school — but shockingly, the basketball team has been on a cinderella run in Saguareño domestic college basketball and seek to continue that here.

Tec is characterized by a sprawling, modernist campus with scattered blocky glass buildings, cube-shaped trees, and a view overlooking the ocean. Most classes are held underground, in a network of tunnels that also hold the cafeteria and the dorms. The basketball stadium is among the few buildings aboveground — and is an outdoor arena, with no roof to protect from rain. Nevertheless, for the vast majority of the time there is little rain and no cold, and the outdoor stadium is beloved by students.

Universidad de Santa Ynez Agricultura y Mecánica
¡S-Y-A-M!

STADIUM: Arena Señor M
COACH: Marvin Menendez
COLORS: Red, black, and white. The mascot is the ram — an actual live ram, named Tito, is their mascot.

CREATED IN 1939 BY order of Gran Saguaro's president, Gustavito Colón, as part of his plan to modernize the rural farming areas, S.Y. A&M originally only offered three degrees — agriculture, animal husbandry, and tractor mechanics. Now, the university is a thriving public school which offers an affordable education in a variety of subjects to students in the Santa Ynez valley, and contains nearly 35,000 students. Part of the curriculum involves a work rotation on the university's farms, tending the crops used in the cafeteria, and a diverse curriculum that spans all subjects.

The basketball team was created the same year as the university, first as an intramural activity to provide physical exercise, and then as a varsity sport when S.Y. A&T became a founding member of the Conferencio Atlético Intercolegial de Gran Saguaro. The basketball team achieved success in the conference's early days, but never again — now, there seems to be somewhat of a renaissance under the grandson of Matías Menendez, S.Y. A&M's first basketball coach (and the gym's namesake), as the Carneros look to an intercollegiate championship for the first time in many years.

A brief primer on naming conventions.
All people have one of just 10 surnames, which reflect their economic/social status--

Upper Class/Well Connected Lower Class/Lack Connections
Davis Jones
Miller Beard
Young Morris
Allen Smith
Clark

Those with the surname Gray are the ones who wield the actual day to day power as bureaucrats & the merchant class; they are the best educated, and most genetically diverse.
Inter-breeding within the two separate classes means that there is little genetic diversity, but the Grays select mates from both groups.

This interbreeding means that the average life expectancy is decreasing for the other nine “clans” and the strict state control over people's lives means that there's no social mobility.

People normally have 2 or 3 'common' names before their surnames, so for example:

a person with the last name Jones would have a identifying family 'clan' name preceding it, let's say in this case Jeff. So that person's legal last name would be Jeff Jones, who was probably a great-grandfather. Then there could be a 'middle' name to further establish which Jeff Jones we're talking about, let's use Peter which could be the name of the father or grandfather of our example.
Another typical convention is to give a child an official first name, which again could be an ancestor, let's say a maternal grandfather so we'll select Norman. Finally there would be an informal name, what they would be called within their immediate family, so a 'pet' name or a nickname which we'll say is Kenny.
That makes our example's full name Norman Kenny Peter Jeff Jones, who would most likely be known to most people as Kenny Jeff Jones.
(among Grays, the 'middle' name would likely be family name of the other parent, so at least there would be a slight chance that a genealogical line could be found).
TL;DR: You can refer to players, coaches, etc by their initials and last name or by their first and last name if you want. People from Ft McKinley are generally called "Mackies" although you can call them anything you want especially if it relates to their inbred ideas of communism (referred to as Republicism--the Republic Party, etc).

Quebec & Shingoryeo Roster Posts - 2/3

Inteachan National University, Mount Ester University, Queen's College at Cornwall

KEEWATINOOK UNIVERSITY HUSKIES

Location: Fort Lowe, Manitoba
Home Arena: Fort Lowe Veterans Pavilion (Est. 1948, Cap: 8,000)

Head Coach: Olivia Neubauerova, 29 (2nd year with the program)
Style Modifier for guidance purpose: +2. Unlike in the past Huskies team traditionally known for solving it around the rim, former Huskies' all-Quebecois prefers to stretch out the field by using an arsenal of all-Quebecois guards and quick, well-paced frontcourt players. Good transition game, though sometimes it really comes down to the guards making the shot. Slightly weak on defence outside of the circle. Two players to watch are their splash duo - Gabrielle Ahn-McKinley and Oh Seung-Yeon - and without them their last national championship over Queen's College would not have been possible. That said, it's still a team that boasts strong depth, as expected from a perennial contender, and should not be underestimated.

# Pos. Player Height Year Sex Roles (Note)

01 SG Michelle Barnard-Coupet 1.81m FR F Key substitute with athleticism and good drive-in abilities. Daughter of current Huskies' assistant Chelsea Lee Barnard
02 PG Oh Seung-Yeon 1.79m GR F Team captain: Local girl familiar to the home gym, Oh's known for her court vision and more importantly, the game-winning shot of this spring's National Championship Game (QIS women's championship Player of the Tournament)
03 SF Taylor Magee 1.80m GR F Key substitute good with zone defence
04 SG Gabrielle Ahn-McKinley 1.83m SR F Outstanding outside shooter, arguably the best women's guard in the country. Shaky defence and can be streaky, but when active could score 25+ points on a game (QIS women's Player of the Year)
06 C Michelle Sumner 1.87m RS SO F Fundamentally stable, patient centre with solid rebounding and hook shots. Younger sister of former Huskies' captain and NSCAA 13 participant Summer-June
08 F/C Annabelle Ho-Taillefer 1.85m SO F Skilled scorer with good switch defence. Could substitute for Sumner
10 F Felice Blankenau 1.88m FR F Walk-on forward with height and reach. Good footspeed but could use improvement on positioning
11 SF Yi Yoon-Heui 1.80m GR F Glue of the team, underrated inside scorer and tenacious rim defender
13 G Yi Yoon-Jeong 1.78m FR F Sister of Yoon-Heui above, Yoon-Jeong's an all-arounded, but also unremarkable substitute. Solid potential exists on scoring department, so she may transition into becoming a valuable 2-guard
15 PF Kim Chae-Yeon 1.84m JR F Starting power forward who is more offensively-focused than Sumner, her frontcourt partner. Cousin of former Husky Chae-Rin
18 PF Amanda-Lee Bravura 1.82m RS FR F Backup forward whose height limitations are made up with solid positioning
27 PG Kelsey Gutang 1.73m SO F Sixth-woman of the team. Flashy and fast combo guard with defensive issues, she is used interchangeably and whenever Oh and Ahn-McKinley, two of the finest guards in the country, are in need of rest. No doubt will be expected to be the team's number-one star after this season

UNIVERSITY COLLEGE JOLBONOPOLIS

Location: Equinox Hill, Inteachan
Home Arena: A. Lucan Buckley Assembly Hall (Cap. 8,000)

Head Coach: Hannah Ray-Yeom, 40 (4th Year)
Starters: Ntwali (JR) - Wood-Aiello (RS JR) - Christopoulos (FR) - Kim Y.J. (SR) - Younes-Tardif (SR)
Major Substitutes: G Yotun-Allard, SF Sabatini-Shin, F/C Capac, C E. Nam

Style Modifier for guidance purpose:-1. It is a well-balanced team that consists of current group of seniors who committed to the program right as the former Saguenay Fighting Irish assistant had joined, and stuck with her all the way. They play a low-tempo, high-passing game of play whenever they could set it up, with full court press encouraged on defence. Still a squad capable of playing well on transition, something that's not always the case with QIS women's sides on international competition. Difficult to penetrate inside, so for opposition spreading the field and constant switches may not be a bad idea.

# Pos. Player Height Year Sex Roles (Note)
01 SG Helene Bergson-Larochelle 1.73m FR f Freshman walk-on who plays occasional backup minutes
02 PG Gladys Ntwali 1.77m JR F Fast point guard who shines on transition and on key matches, pairs well on 2-on-2 with Kim Ye-Jeong and Krista Christopulos
03 PG Jang Ye-Ri 1.80m SO F Largely unremarkable backup point guard with good fundamentals
04 SF Krista Christopoulos 1.84m FR F QIS Rookie of the Year whose court vision, inside scoring and dynamicism catch people's eyes. Team's second option behind Estelle Younes-Tardif
05 SG Sandra Wood-Aiello 1.78m RS JR F All-around shooter with ability to stretch the field
07 G Fabienne Yotun-Allard 1.79m FR F Backup guard with defensive responsibilities, could also distribute ball well
08 PF Kim Ye-Jeong 1.85m SR F Team captain: Undersized power forward who helps out on scoring, happy to play help defence
11 F/C Jeanne Capac 1.86m FR F Run-and-gun centre with soft shooting touch
12 C Estelle Younes-Tardif 1.94m SR F Slow centre with superb assists and good blocks (QIS Second-team All-Quebecois)
14 PF Gabrielle Cardona 1.82m RS SO F Backup power forward who will be redshirting next year on a Quebec Foundation exchange program abroad next year
25 SF Erica Sabatini-Shin 1.84m JR F Sixth woman of the team who can do everything but with limited doses. Fits between 2 to 5-spot.
43 C Danielle Nam 1.86m SO F Tall, lanky centre primarily used for defensive responsibilities
