The Football Association of the Commonwealth of Baker Park announces the opening of entries for the 18th edition of the Under-18 Championship, presented by RTC of Banija.

This tournament is open to any national team made up of players who will not reach the age of 19 until the end of the competition. This team can consist of any makeup--single gender, mixed gender, mixed species, sentient beings, creeping things, people who eat packaged foods...make no difference.

Reply to this post below and say "NI!" (shrubbery not required) or some other expression of interest.

This shall also serve as the confirmation of Baker Park's entry and Statement of intent to provide hosting duties, although no competing bid will be rejected.
Since the 15th U18WC in Tumbra, all bids are open to a vote of all nations submitting an entry, which ensures transparency and standards befitting a true world championship event.

All questions should also be directed to Baker Park in this thread, which will revert to being the OOC discussion thread once a host is chosen. (Or to BP via TG or Discord if you wish.) Previous hosts of this tournament are also free to answer general questions.

Do It! All the Kool Kidz will be there!

The Football Association of the Commonwealth presents their bid to host the 18th Under-18 World Cup within our nation. Two times winners and hosts of the last tournament held under the organization of Sporting World Magazine, the FAC have held stewardship of the competition since our turn in SWC 11 and are excited to provide nations with a "homecoming" celebration on the occasion of the U18WC getting the right to vote and buy its own beer.

Hosting experience: 31st & 37th WLC, AOLC, 2 World Cups, 2 AOCAF tournaments, AOlympics rugby sevens, Under 18 World Cup 11

The Format:

20 teams- 4 groups of five, top two in each group advance
24 teams- 4 groups of six, top three in each group advance
28 teams- 4 groups of seven, top four in each group advance to Round of 16.
30 teams- 6 groups of five, top two in each group plus top 4 third place teams advance to Round of 16.
32 teams- 4 groups of eight, top four in each group advance to Round of 16.

Scorination & RP Bonus

Scorination will be done with the latest presently existing version of xkoranate, using the SQIS formula with xkoranate (additive) style modifiers.
RP bonus shall be cumulative throughout the entirety of the tournament. A roster shall be worth up to a full matchday's RP bonus.

Tiebreakers

For tiebreakers, we will use the following: HTH points, HTH goal difference, Overall Goal Difference, Wins, Goals Scored, Coin Flip (OOCly scorinating tiebreaker matches until the tie is broken).
