Voting for the hosting of Copa Rushmori 41 is now closed. A total of 20 votes were received, and the results were distributed as follows:

Hoo-boy, what a vote. Vall wasn’t lying when they said it was shaping up to be a heck of a turnout. I just wanted to take a moment to express my thanks to everyone who showed their support for my bid, especially considering it was definitely an unconventional one, and to congratulate Ceni and Avon on winning the rights to host the Copa. I know they’ll both do a fine job, and I’m excited for a fun tournament ahead.

What a vote indeed! Thanks everybody for voting, and commiserations to Sanford. We would've loved to participate in the tournament if you'd won.

We are looking to hit 32 or 40 signups for this Copa. Savojarna's entry brings us to 36, which includes four puppets. We will keep signups open until Monday to see if we get any more entrants to perhaps reach 40. If not, we'll drop the puppets and roll with 32. The Everything Thread should follow after signups are cut off.

Seeing no further signups in the last 96 hours, we will cut off signups at this point. So that we can have a traditional 8x4 tournament, the four puppets will be cut. Expect the everything thread and schedule to go up within 24 hours, but hopefully later tonight as I coordinate with Avon.
