WSRC 02 | Stage Rally | Signup & OOC Thread

Postby Aboveland » Mon May 16, 2022 7:57 pm

If you are new to rally, or to motorsport in general, have a look at this brief guide to understand how the sport works.
Stage rally (not Rally Raid, as the Dakar Rally, or Rallycross, which is held on circuits) is a racing discipline where drivers race against the clock on point-to-point stretches of closed public roads called stages, or special stages (SS). Rally events tend to last between one and three days, also called legs, and generally, each leg is separated into two ‘loops’ of stages. Stages within a loop are separated by road sections: open, public roads which drivers use, at road speed, to travel from the start of one stage to the other. As rally is a timed sport, drivers must arrive at the start of a stage, also called a time control, at a specific time. Should they arrive too early, or too late, they receive a minute+ time penalty, depending on the time difference. A loop is a number of stages run consecutively: for instance, a leg might have a morning loop and an afternoon loop, wherein the morning loop drivers race on three stages, before returning to the service park at midday and then going out to race the stages of the afternoon loop. Rally events are based in a city, where the service park (essentially the garage/pits) is located; fans may visit the service park to get up close to their idols. Cars are stored in the service park overnight, and drivers return to the service park between loops for service, roughly a period of about 60 minutes where drivers may repair their cars and make changes to their setups before going back out to race the remaining stages of the leg.

CRUCIALLY, as drivers do not race around a circuit multiple times, they are aided by a co-driver/navigator, who reads the pacenotes the duo have prepared before the rally. The pacenotes are annotations which tell the driver how the road ahead looks, how sharp the corners are, if there are any jumps or hazards, etc. Before a rally, drivers and co-drivers drive through the stages twice at road-speeds to write down their pacenotes.

Stage rally is more similar to time trials than to a conventional race. Drivers go out onto the stages one by one, separated from their rivals by an interval of a few minutes, which means that unless one driver encounters trouble along the way and is slowed down, drivers will generally not run into each other during a stage. In the end, the winner of the event is the driver who has completed every stage in the least possible time. After the final stage, drivers return to the service park, where the podium celebrations take place.

A driver may lose a lot of time on a stage if they have a punctured tire, if they crash and carry on, if their car has a mechanical issue, etc. If a driver fails to finish a stage, it usually means their car has been damaged too much to continue.

RETURNING USERS: Please read the spoiler below for a summary of the changes that will take effect in season 2.

In an effort to improve the quality of the championship, to offer more opportunities to users submitting drivers, teams, and rallies alike, and to make roleplay and results more engaging, the following changes will take effect from the second season of the WSRC:

  • RALLY FORMAT: Rallies will now be held over THREE days instead of two. Each day of competition will be called a LEG, and results will be published PER LEG. Previously, rallies were held over two days with each day split into two short scorinations. The new maximum length of a rally has been increased to 600km, and all rallies must have at least 9 stages. Legs may have a maximum average stage length of 60km. Additionally, rallies will no longer be required to be based in a specific city. Events may be organized in a rolling format, starting in one city and ending in another. If so, this must be specified in the signup.
  • TEAMS AND DRIVERS: Teams will be able to sign THREE drivers instead of two.
  • POINTS AND SCORINATION: The points system has been modified to match the legacy WGPC format: 25-18-14-10-8-6-4-3-2-1. The previous season's system benefited podium sitters over regular points scorers, but the unexpected predictability of results, and an inadvertently lopsided advantage for second place, reduced the quality of results. WSRC2 will have less predictable results by virtue of the increase in leg length, and the modification of certain rally signup parameters detailed below.
  • RALLY STAT MODIFICATIONS: The "overtaking chance" field in the rally signup has become "road cleaning effect", and may have a value between 0.1 and 3. Lower values reduce the road position advantage and the effect of shakedown results. Higher values make shakedown crucial to the final result.
  • RESULTS AND SCHEDULE: Qualifying/shakedown results will be posted along with Leg 1 results, and will define the starting order for that leg.
  • Published results will now indicate the surnames of driver and co-driver instead of only the full name of the driver.
  • RETIRING DRIVERS: Drivers who retire from a leg will be allowed to continue on the following leg, with a time penalty of the slowest time to complete the leg they retired from plus 2 minutes for each stage not completed. If a driver retires for a second time, or retires from the final leg, they will be out of the rally and ineligible to score points.

Sign-up and OOC Thread

Welcome to the OOC and Signups thread for the World Stage Rally Championship, a NationStates motorsport series based on its real world equivalent series: the World Rally Championship (WRC). The WSRC attempts to bring the same engaging and player friendly format of the World Grand Prix Championship (WGPC) to stage rally.

This thread is dedicated to signups and OOC discussion of WSRC season 2. The series will be scorinated utilizing The Racing Scorinator, minimally adapted for use outside of a circuit racing environment.

Signups are open for drivers, teams , and rallies. Team signups will be evaluated and teams will be offered entry based on various factors, including number of driver signups, number of team signups, and NS Sports RP history.

To sign up for the coming season, read the information below and fill in one of the signup forms. Everything you need to know is written below. If you find anything confusing or unintuitive, you can use this thread as an OOC discussion thread, or you can send me a telegram or Discord DM.

Current deadlines: RP thread opens on June 6th, team signups close on June 13th, and the season starts/the calendar is finalized on June 24th

It's important for participants to have a look at all the information below.

Things to Know (RP-ing Notes)

The WSRC will emulate the format and dynamics of the World Grand Prix Championship. Users will be able to sign up events, teams, and drivers, the latter as free agents, and will be encouraged to RP the stories of their competitors throughout the competitive WSRC season to attain, maintain and increase their RP bonuses and improve their chances of scoring good results. Event hosts and participants alike will have a unique chance to explore the nations of the multiverse through the WSRC, racing across spectacular landscapes, getting in touch with local cultures, experiencing the racing atmosphere created by the fans, and visiting landmarks along the way.

The scorination of the WSRC will be undertaken using The Racing Scorinator, originally intended for use in track racing disciplines, but successfully adapted to stage rally. Results will be published on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, every week.*

*Subject to change with previous anticipation

Signup Forms

DRIVERS
Every user may sign up a maximum of THREE drivers – no more than TWO per nation. Every driver starts off as a free agent, meaning they are not affiliated to any team. Teams sign drivers via roleplay in the RP thread. I implore users to consider keeping off-forum negotiations at a minimum, to enrich engagement in the signup period process.

The more RPing you do with your driver, the likelier your driver will be signed by a team, and the higher your RP bonus. The higher your RP bonus, your driver is likely to be faster and more consistent on the stages—and will likely remain on their team.

To sign up a driver, fill in the following form:
Driver Name:
Name Trigram:
Nationality Trigram:
Co-driver Name:
Preferred Car Number:
Second Choice Car Number:
Reliability (Between 2 and 5):
Aggression (Between 2 and 5):
Technique (Between 2 and 5):
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Gravel/Dirt Experience (Between 0-10):
Tarmac/Asphalt Experience (Between 0-10):
Snow and Ice Experience (Between 0-10):
The Experience ratings may add up to a maximum of 15.
Driver's bio:

DRIVER NAME is the full name of the driver.
NAME TRIGRAM is the trigram that usually represents the driver's surname. A trigram is a set of three letters that represent a larger word. For example, a driver named Terho Talvela's trigram could be 'TAL' or 'TLV', but probably not 'TTA' or 'TER' because both of those examples use a letter from the driver's first name. It's the surname which is important. We’ll only allow you to use a letter from the driver’s first name if there are two drivers with the same surname, or if a driver typically goes by three names.
NATIONALITY TRIGRAM should be the trigram for your nation. It should be three letters. This is NOT the trigram for the driver's name.
CO-DRIVER NAME is the full name of your driver’s co-driver. Drivers will be presented as pairs by their surnames in the scorinated results (for instance, a team formed by Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena would appear as Loeb/Elena in the results).
PREFERRED CAR NUMBER is your driver's preferred car number. This can be any number between 3 and 99. 1 and 2 will not be used in the inaugural season.
SECOND CHOICE CAR NUMBER is your second choice for your driver’s car number. In the event that two drivers choose the same number, the season host will assign car numbers.
RELIABILITY, AGGRESSION and TECHNIQUE: Aggressive drivers are better suited to fast, flowing rallies, while technical drivers have a preference for tighter, complicated and generally slower rallies. Reliable drivers may either live by the motto ‘slow and steady’, or perhaps they’re quite good at not breaking their cars, unlike Samir. Each attribute should be given a numerical number between 2 and 5 and the three ratings must add up to a maximum of twelve.
EXPERIENCE: Your driver may be better suited to certain racing surfaces: maybe they’re a former karting champion who loves asphalt; or they grew up doing folkrace on frozen lakes; or perhaps they found they preferred racing on gravel and dirt instead of any other surface—even then, maybe they just have no driving experience at all. Their experience ratings on each surface should reflect their preferences.
BIO is a short biography of your driver. Their age, experience, hopes and aspirations, driving style, favourite sandwich, things like that.

Example:
Driver Name: Axel Novikov
Name Trigram: NOV
Nationality Trigram: ABL
Co-driver Name: H.A. Baardsen
Preferred Car Number: 22
Second Choice Car Number: 44
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 2.6
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 5
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 4.4
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Gravel/Dirt Experience (Between 0-10): 5
Tarmac/Asphalt Experience (Between 0-10): 7
Snow and Ice Experience (Between 0-10): 3
The Experience ratings may add up to a maximum of 15, but it’s not a necessary condition.

Driver's bio: 31-year-old Axel Novikov, of Avsidesliggendevuoret, Aboveland, had a short-lived career in international single-seater competition back in WGPC15. The central Abovian driver had seemed to be inching close to stealing Terho Tavela's glory in the spotlight with a strong debut season, until a massive accident during qualifying for the Abovian Grand Prix dashed his formula racing future in one fell swoop. Despite later going on to race the following day and finishing the season a strong sixth for Telaris Racing, Novikov quickly called it quits on his racing career.

However, the aggressive, no-nonsense driver could hardly betray his desires for long. Following a failed stint as team principal during the inaugural World Grand Prix 2 season, Novikov was enrolled by Ælund Rallysport in the Hodori Rally Championship alongside Nykipish refugee Heinrich Andreas Baardsen at the wheel of a newly developed Iskabil Kokko XB4. A strong start to the predominantly loose-surface championship calendar was enough to seal his fate, taking the championship title at the seasons' end by seven points over his nearest rival. His title defense would prove fruitful right until the last event, after two punctures stifled his progress on stage two, but he would end up a respectable second in the championship in his season piloting the 0 car.

Having faded from the public eye for years, Novikov returns to the international motorsport scene piggybacking off his Hodoran exploits to prove his pace against the world's best rally drivers.

RALLIES
Each user may sign up a maximum of TWO rallies from either puppets or their main nation. If a user chooses to submit two events based in the same nation, only one of the two would be considered for selection. The number of events in a season will depend on the amount of submitted events, but will be between seven and nine.

Signing up a rally is not a guarantee that it will be used in the upcoming WSRC season.

Instead of providing a circuit map, as in WGPC, signups will require a banner or logo for the rally, like this, this, or this. It needn't be extremely fancy, but it must indicate the name of the event. It isn’t necessary to provide a detailed itinerary of your rally or a stage map, but should you choose to do so, please do not use any real-life rally maps or (immediately recognizable) stage names.

Rallies will be held across three in-character and RL days. Each day of competition is called a leg; rallies will contain three legs. Shakedown (which determines the start order) and Leg 1 will be held on Friday, Leg 2 on Saturday, and Leg 3 on Sunday.

In your rally signup, you must indicate the average length of the stages in each leg, plus the length and average speed of the single shakedown stage, used only for qualifying. The resultant number of stages will be assigned by the scorinator*. The maximum permitted average length of the stages of a leg is 60km.

*To calculate the number of stages a rally will have, divide 150 by the average length of the stages in your leg and round UPto the nearest whole number; if the answer is a whole number, add 1 (for instance, if the average length is 60, 150/60 = 3 stages. If the average length is 30, 150/30 = 5+1 = 6 stages, and so on).

To sign up a rally, fill in the following form:
Event name:
Host City (or starting city):
Logo/Banner:
Event (or per leg) Surface (Gravel/Dirt; Tarmac/Asphalt; Snow/Ice):

(you may choose to fill out only one of the following which will be applied to all three legs, but will result in a lower chance of selection. If assigning one average stage length to the whole event, the maximum will be 40km.)

Shakedown:
Average Speed (km/h):
Length (km):
Leg 1:
Average Speed (km/h):
Average Stage Length (km):
Leg 2:
Average Speed (km/h):
Average Stage Length (km):

Chance of rain (1%-20%):
Event aggressiveness (1-10):
Event technicality (1-10):
(Aggressiveness and technicality should add up to 10)
Road cleaning effect (0.1 - 3. 0.1 means the advantage of winning shakedown is negligible, 3 means that road position greatly affects drivers’ speed.):
Margin for error (0.1 - 5. 0.1 is forgiving, 5 is treacherous):
Info:
EVENT NAME is the name of the race, e.g. Rally Turkey, Wales Rally GB, or Phillips LED Rally Argentina. They may include the name of a title sponsor, a region, a landmark, a nation, etc.
HOST CITY is the city around which the event is centered, or where the event starts. The base city will host the service park for the event, and is where drivers will come from and return to after each leg, including after the event for podium celebrations.
LOGO/BANNER is a link to the logo or banner of the event, hosted externally on photobucket or imgur or a similar service. Signups with no logo or banner will be invalid.
EVENT SURFACE is the surface on which the event is held. You may select one, two, or all three surfaces for the event, as well as, optionally, specifying a surface or surface combination for each leg.
AVERAGE SPEED is the average speed at which a driver would complete the average stage of a leg/rally. Usually, average speed is indicative of the character of a rally: low average speeds (60-80km/h) indicate the rally is rough and/or twisty, medium speeds (80-100km/h) may suggest the rally or leg has a mix of fast and slow sections or has fast, but narrow, roads, and high average speeds (100-140km/h) suggest the stages are very quick. The maximum average speed permitted per leg is 140km/h. Average speeds may be affected by the width of a road, the grip offered by the surface, and by obstacles placed to lower average speeds (chicanes, detours, etc).
AVERAGE STAGE LENGTH is the average length, in kilometers, of all the stages in a leg. Legs may have a strict maximum average stage length of 60km, BUT RALLIES must have a minimum of ten stages. For shakedown, which is a single stage run as qualifying, you must indicate the length of the single stage. Shakedown may not be longer than 6km.
CHANCE OF RAIN: Percentage chance of an event being wet. This number should be between 1 and 20. 1 means there will be a 1% chance of a wet race and 1.5% chance of a 'changeable' race. 20% means there will be a 20% chance of a wet race and a 30% chance of a 'changeable' race. Use 5% as an average.
TRACK AGGRESSIVENESS/TECHNICALITY: Aggressive rallies are wide and fast: think Rally Finland, Rally Estonia, or Rally Sweden. Technical rallies benefit skilled, clean, technical drivers, and they tend to be twistier and require more precision: think the Tour de Corse, Rally Cyprus, or Rally Monte Carlo. The numbers should add up to ten, and as with the surfaces, each leg may have a different A/T rating.
ROAD CLEANING EFFECT defines how much a driver’s road position affects their speed, and alters how probable it is for the standings of an event to vary. 0.1 means that the benefit of winning shakedown is almost nullified, while 3 means that the position a driver achieves in shakedown is crucial to their result. Use extreme values sparingly.

MARGIN FOR ERROR denotes how severely mistakes can be punished. A 0.1 means the rally is forgiving - a driver won’t lose too much time if they spin. A 5 means mistakes are punished more severely. 2 is average for a regular rally.
INFO: Rally information/description.

PLEASE NOTE that every field except for Event Name, Logo/Banner and Event Type may be customized for each one of the four half-legs of the event. This means that a rally may have a quick, aggressive, and punishing day on gravel, and a tight, technical, slower, and less treacherous day on tarmac the next.

Example:
Event name: Nordenflyg Rally Aboveland
Host City: Brukkifordet, Aboveland

Average Speed (km/h): 87 km/h
Average Stage Length (km): 34
Leg 2:
Average Speed (km/h): 122 km/h
Average Stage Length (km): 22
Leg 3:
Average Speed (km/h): 124 km/h
Average Stage Length (km): 19

Chance of rain (1%-20%): 7%
Event aggressiveness (1-10): 6
Event technicality (1-10): 4
(Aggressiveness and technicality should add up to 10)
Road cleaning effect (0.1 - 3. 0.1 means the advantage of winning shakedown is negligible, 3 means that road position greatly affects drivers’ speed.): 1.2
Margin for error (0.1 - 5. 0.1 is forgiving, 5 is treacherous): 3

Info: Rally Aboveland, backed by new sponsor Nordenflyg, is poised to make its first appearance on the calendar of an international rally championship in years, as the opening round of the inaugural World Stage Rally Championship.

Based in its traditional host city of Brukkifordet, the childhood home and proving grounds of Terho Tavlela, the event retains the spirit which had turned it into the pinnacle of rallying on the domestic scene, with an extended route adapted to the requirements of the WSRC.

Nordenflyg Rally Aboveland is known for its wildly different road character between days one and two. The first leg of the event takes place on the rocky mountain roads north of Brukkifordet. The first three stages of the rally, run early in the morning when fog may linger over the road, take drivers out of the city to climb steadily up the bedrock-set gravel roads, in a round loop of three stages which deposits them back near the service park. After an extended midday service, drivers set back out north-east to tackle the longest marathon stage of the rally, a 37km stage on old mining service roads with fast, straight sections and winding, descending bits, littered with stones, ditches, and levies.

Day two takes a sharp turn away from the punishing rocky stages of the first leg to head west of Brukkifordet around Pohjajärvi. The set of six stages run in blocks of three circle the quiet lake; all six stages are fast and flowing, featuring blind crests, yumps and long, swooping corners. As the day progresses the stages gradually become straighter and quicker, reaching average speeds of up to 135km/h and setting up a thrilling dash to the finish.

TEAMS
Anyone is welcome to enter a team, although your team may not make the start line depending on various factors including demand. Your team begins with no drivers attached to it – you have to sign them from the pool of free agent drivers, and you can do so in the RP thread.

The more RPing you do with your team, the higher your RP bonus. The higher your RP bonus, the better your team is likely to perform, and the more likely a driver is to sign with them.

Submitting an image of the car of your team is not necessary, but if you wish to do so, I implore that you make sure the car template you have chosen to use is a rally car—not rallycross, not touring car—and I encourage you (less emphatically) to choose a four wheel drive vehicle’s template. This is for immersion purposes.
To sign up a team, fill in the following form:
Team Name:
Team Nation:
Team Color (hex code):
Nationality Trigram:
Reliability (Between 2 and 5):
Acceleration (Between 2 and 5):
Turning (Between 2 and 5):
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Team bio:

TEAM NAME is the full name of the team.
TEAM NATION is the nation the team is registered in. This may be more than one nation; if so, both nations should confirm this.
TEAM COLOR is the color that represents your team. Please indicate the hex code of the color.
NATIONALITY TRIGRAM should be the trigram for the nation. It should be three letters.
RELIABILITY/ACCELERATION/TURNING: These numbers define how good your team’s car is at certain things. The higher its Reliability, the tougher it will be on the stages and the easier it is to drive; the higher its Acceleration, the better it is at getting up to high speeds quickly, making it more capable out of tight corners and on long straights and high-speed corners; the higher its Turning, the better it is at maintaining speed and stability while changing direction, making it better at moving through low- and mid-speed corners.
TEAM BIO is a short biography of the team's history.

Example:
Team Name: Iskalbil-Ælund World Rally Team
Team Nation: Aboveland
Team Color: #001736
Nationality Trigram: ABL
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 4.2
Acceleration (Between 2 and 5): 4.7
Turning (Between 2 and 5): 3.1
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Team bio: Iskabil Auto and Ælund Rallysport unite once again to mount an assault on the inaugural World Stage Rally Championship. Aboveland's sole auto manufacturer and their long-time racing partners, rally team turned dominant grand prix champions, had long ago achieved success in the domestic rally scene thanks to Terho Talvela and Edvin Pekkanen's efforts. The team scored their first international rally title in the inaugural, and only, Nordic Rally Championship season under the Abcarc brand and, following the series' demise, entered the Hodori Rally Championship to further their development. Their debut season was lackluster at best, with an off-season Terho Talvela and an understaffed Ælund Rallysport (in the face of Tropicorp Racing Ælund's imminent WGPC debut) proving uncompetitive, but their subesquent attempt at glory proved fruitful, with Axel Novikov taking his sole Hodori Rally Championship title in season 174. In the wake of the Avsidesliggendevuoreter's near-successful title defense, and the appearance of the World Stage Rally Championship, Iskabil and Ælund Rallysport have reunited after a long stretch of downtime to grab the bull by the horns.

The team will field an updated version of their Hodori Rally Championship challenger, the Iskabil Kokko XB4 Evo-C, powered by the same 2.5l twin-turbo, four cylinder boxer engine, but mounted behind the front seats in lieu of under the bonnet to improve weight distribution after the release of a 500-unit homologation special of the road-going hatchback.

Season Information

SEASON LENGTH: The WSRC season will feature between seven and nine full length rallies. The results of events will be posted on the weekends: Shakedown and leg 1 on Fridays, leg 2 results on Saturdays and Leg 3 results on Sundays.

QUALIFYING/SHAKEDOWN: In real rally, as drivers always set out onto competitive stages separated from their rivals by time intervals, it means that not all drivers face the same road condition on one single stretch of road, and that the road “evolves” as the race goes on. On asphalt, it is beneficial to start first on the road, as later cars may encounter dirt or stones thrown onto the road by the earliest runners. On loose surface events, like gravel and snow, later-starting cars will usually find the road to be cleaned of loose stones and dust on the surface, meeting a grippier road below. The starting order of leg 1 is defined by the results of shakedown: the winner receives the most beneficial starting position for the rally. Starting order for legs 2 and 3 will be defined according to the results of the previous leg (i.e. the best road position is given to the leader).

RALLY FORMAT: rallies will be based in a host city, where the service park will be located and from and to where drivers will drive between legs. Rallies may employ a hub-and-spoke model, where drivers leave from the host city in the morning and return in the evening, or feature a moving service park across different cities on each of the three days.

Rallies will be run over three IC (likewise OOC) days. The first day of results (Friday) will feature the qualifying/shakedown stage and leg 1; Saturdays, Leg 2; and Sundays, Leg 3. Competitors’ times from each leg will be summed up, and the driver to have completed the event in the shortest amount of time will be considered the winner.

Each leg of a rally may have a maximum average stage length of 60km, but all rallies must have a minimum of ten stages. This means that rallies may not have three legs of an average stage length of 60km, as this would mean the event would have just six stages. The number of stages in a leg is given by dividing 150 by the average stage length, and rounding down to the nearest whole number.

Rallies may be held on tarmac/asphalt, gravel/dirt or ice and snow, or any combination of the three.

Users may also submit itineraries of their rallies, and may specify the starting time of each of their stages. To offer flexibility to users, and to sway away from the boring, bureaucratic, safety conscious nature of the real world, stages or legs may be run at night.

CLASSIFICATION: Drivers who fail to finish a leg will be allowed to return to competition on the following leg, with a time penalty of the slowest time of the leg they failed to finish + 2 minutes for each stage the driver failed to finish. If a driver retires on leg 3, or if they retire for a second time after having returned once already, they will be considered to have retired from the rally and will not be eligible to score points.

TEAMS: Teams will be able to sign three different drivers to complete the whole season. Special exceptions may be made for drivers who enter themselves as privateers, but this exception is not guaranteed, and will be decided based on a users’ past roleplay experience.

OOC NOTE: for the sake of transparency: should a scorination return that a driver has been lapped (IC: they have dropped the time equivalent of an entire stage to the leader), they will be considered to have retired from the leg. ICly, this could be because of car damage, arriving late to a time control, etc.

POINTS SYSTEM: Drivers will be awarded points as follows for the top 10 in the classification: 25-18-14-10-8-6-4-3-2-1. There will NOT be any bonus points offered to the winner of shakedown.

CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS: Two official championships will be maintained, the WSRC Drivers Championship and WSRC Team Championship. All drivers in a team will be eligible to score teams’ points, meaning that teams with three drivers have a higher chance of winning the championship than teams with two.

Car Regulations

Only sealed, closed-roof, closed-wheel cars will be allowed to compete, and they must seat two people. This excludes trucks, big-rigs, open-wheeled vehicles, buggies, Dakar Rally-style vehicles, speedboats, aircraft, gliders, hoverboards, scooters, and rollerskates. Convertibles are only eligible if they have a hard-top roof, and if it is weldedshut.

Cars may only have four wheels, not more, not less, and must have wheels: neither tracks nor spikes, nor anything equally ridiculous.

Teams may field vehicles powered by internal combustion engines, hybrid powertrains, fully-electric systems and hydrogen-powered engines, and may be naturally aspirated or function with forced induction. There will be no restrictions to the drivetrain layout, nor to the number of driven wheels, but it is recommended that cars feature four or all-wheel-drive systems.

The minimum weight of competing cars will be 1600kg, to allow for closer parity between different forms of propulsion. Vehicles will be limited to a maximum of 419 horsepower, and may NOT employ driver aids besides power steering and launch control; anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability assist, active aerodynamics and run-flat tyres are strictly forbidden.

A note on the pre-season tests: a final decision will be taken once the signup period ends, but team owners will be encouraged to organize rally-sprints as invitationals. Scorination details should be forwarded to the organizer to enable their publishing as officially-endorsed demonstration events.

Driver's bio:
Born in the city of Naples during the Pre-Valentian Era, Augustine was one of the many lucky folks who got saved from the Nuclear Bombardment of 1999, having been working for Valentine Z. Previously served as Marina Militare, he then brought over his experience in the Navy to the Valentians, particularly becoming a Fleet Admiral after a few tours and self-defense exercises of his own. Though a kind-hearted man through many measures, as well as with some dry humour to go along the way, it would not take a lot of effort to get on his rather brutish side. When his words and patience went thin and weary, Augustine would simply use his unusual strength to knock someone out with a black eye and send them home. Still, the frequency of this occurring has been next to nothing, with stories and accounts telling of Augustine only using said strength to defend himself when the ships he would be on were raided by pirates and robbers.

In the world of multiversal sports, Augustine has been a decent Midfielder for World Cup 85, World Cup 88, and Cup of Harmony 80 before getting out of football due to his lack of interest. He also had some experience in the motorsports in the form of VRSCR - the Valentian Rocket Stock Car Racing that pits the Valentians into rocket cars that exceeds 700 km/h. As for the purpose of joining this Rally event, Augustine had a few opinions as to why: First and foremost, he wanted to make himself a bit more well-known, to showcase the more underrated and unseen characters of The Sixty, and the like. More importantly, despite him being in the open seas for the most part, he felt that Rally racing would help him out when it comes to navigating and commandeering cars in some of the more treacherous parts. "I mean, I am often at the seas, but you will never know when you need that driving skill when your ship lands on a shore and you need to drive off-road."

He was joined by Wing Commander Angeline, a Brazilian woman that came from another dimension. She started her life on an Earth that is from another dimension. She described it as rather peaceful, though with tech levels that are slightly ahead of the other Earths along the same timeframe. It was not as advanced as Valentine Z due to the lack of escalation of the Cold War, but as aforementioned, it edged out the other Earths that the Valentians have explored so far, mainly due to Angeline’s Earth accepting science as a whole. Her early life was more or less uneventful, with her joining the Brazilian Air Forces (Portuguese: Força Aérea Brasileira, FAB) at the legal age of 24. She trained and was in the service for a good 6 years, and she was not planning to quit anytime soon, as she would describe it. She would find a healthy amount of friendship between her comrades, as well as with most of her higher-ups and commanders; this was all attributed to her positive outlook on life, raising the morale of the trainees and everyone around through tough times. Of course, she is not exactly positive all the time, but for a non-Valentian and for someone from another Earth, this kind of unyielding positivity even in the time of crisis, is a positive sight.

Angeline has been seen and known both as the main pilot and co-pilot for the Valentians wherever they needed to go, and she has been present in almost every single international sporting events as a non-participant and instead in technical and administrative tasks. She also has a wristwear device that she uses to the fullest extent in order to recognise both the hazards of the future, as well as to rewind on what happened in the immediate past - like time travel, but only being able to see as a convenient screen. Having been a co-pilot as aforementioned, Angeline also is an expert navigator, hoping that the knowledge of aviation and navigation that she got in the skies would help her out on the ground.

-----

So what is new with these Valentians? They definitely have one-upped their game since the day they finished their first Rally Championship back in 2086. Even the war – The Interdimensional Incident – have not slowed them down soon after, with them practicing and doing sprints in Valentine Z before and after the war, with the in-between periods having been used to serve in the Valentian Defense Forces as the two active members of The Sixty. Augustine decided to practice more on the gravel and dirt road in exchange for the lack of practice and experience in more snowy tracks, as well as trading his aggressive driving techniques in order to become a bit more reliable on the road, as well as to hone his techniques with Angeline on his side. The latter, his co-driver, has also learned a fair lot of new things, such as being concise with her notes for one, as well as making sure that everything her driver needs to know is communicated in a brief and clear manner instead of trying to strike a conversation in the car. After all, when there are gritty and rough terrain to drive in, even the Valentians may not have the time to chat.

It is now the year 2094 for these Valentians, and after 8 years, will the duo manage more of a mark against the other drivers? Which team will they be allocated to? Will they triumph big and proud as with their names and their stature, facing and winning almost every challenge that come their way? The respective characters' bio (Augustine's one is sorta incomplete) can be further found by clicking on their colored names.

From a rough rural village in the northern mountains, Bauçaien got his first driving experience driving the village ambulance -- the only vehicle available for several miles in any direction.

When he was in his early 20s his family pooled what little money they had and used it to send him to college. He got an accounting degree from Haybien University and a high-paying office job, but he missed the old days driving speeding down the dirt roads of the Jouoangquoirais hinterland.

Jouoangquoi doesn't have a huge rally scene, but there was enough for Bauçaien to find it and make it his weekend hobby.

Lytchian is from Haybien and they met in college.

Margin for error (0.1 - 5. 0.1 is forgiving, 5 is treacherous): 4.0

Info: The Rally of Sajnur is a new entry to international rallying, and while Sajnur has plenty of rallying talent and events, the country has not hosted a rally for an international championship. Based in the city of Tesje, the surrounding Kalavar Mountains will surely provide a big spectacle for the event.

Rally Sajnur will have steep gradients and thick snow throughout most stages, and mountain fog will be a constant concern. Day 1 will start on the streets of Tesje and work its way up the foothills of the Kalavar ranges, though even these lower reaches are at an altitude exceeding 2500m, and this is where most of the gravel and tarmac will be found. There will be fast stretches, but as the altitude climbs, the roads will get tighter and snowier.

Day 2 will see the rally cars mired in the high altitude snow of some of Kalavar's highest settlements, and the entire day will be spent above 4000m asl. The roads will be tight switchbacks, most flanked with barriers, but some exposed to the risk of vaulting off the road and down the hillside. Stage 9 is a 41km marathon which will take more than half an hour to complete, and Stage 10 will take the cars to Sinaqullu Peak at 5840m asl.

Day 3 will be by far the fastest day of the rally as the cars will careen their way downhill back to Tesje, with average speeds in the snow approaching 140 km/h. There won't be as much gravel as you may expect at these speeds, but the finale of Stage 17 will see a transition from snow to tarmac as they descend back into the foothills. At 54km it will be the longest stage in terms of distance, but the high average speeds mean it should take much less time than Stage 9.

Driver's bio:
Standing just on the wrong side of 40, 41-year-old Captain Gabrijel Vukašinović may appear as if he's coming to the end of a sporting career. This couldn't be further from the truth; in fact, it's just beginning. Born in 1981 in the Socialist Republic of Rekavina, one of the five constituent republics that were united into the United Socialist States of Khacia, Vukašinović hails from a working-class background. His parents were farm workers in Rekavina's undeveloped northern regions and Vukašinović was set to follow much the same path, due to the minimal schooling he received. But when he was 15, the 1996 War of Unification broke out - with the Socialist Republic of Rekavina eventually succeeding in their aim to reform Khacia after 6 years of bloody war. Vukašinović lied about his age and signed up, motivated by the populist General and subsequent President of Khacia Dragomir Živanović's 'Brotherly Duty' speech.

Vukašinović performed admirably in the war, receiving 4 medals and a distinctive facial scar for his efforts. After the conclusion of hostilities and the establishment of the USSK, he worked on building up the People's Motor Corps. Until 2018, when now-President Dragomir Živanović declared the years of internal isolation were over and socialism had been achieved within the USSK, Vukašinović had never seen let alone competed in a rally. But his years of high-performance driving in the military left him with a technically excellent and aggressive driving style. In 2020, Vukašinović was given special permission by the Ministry of Defence to start training rallying to represent Khacia on the world stage. Taking another proficient driver, Sergeant Luka Pintar, from the ranks of the People's Motor Corps and training him to be his co-driver, Vukašinović is ready to represent the nation he is fiercely proud of in one of their first sporting events.

Perhaps the most notable aspect of the Khacian rally team is its demonstration of pan-Khacian unity. Vukašinović hails from the Socialist Republic of Rekavina, whereas Pintar was born in what is now known as the Socialist Republic of Hromada. Although there are some cultural differences between the two republics, the two men are very similar. Both are tall stern military men, with Vukašinović standing two inches taller than Pintar at 6'3". Vukašinović is serious, almost humourless, whereas Pintar is an effervescent character. Due to his more advanced age, Vukašinović's black hair and squared beard are now greying. Pintar, at just 32, conversely has a shock of blonde hair that is permanently slicked back, according to military protocols. The two will be dressed and styled to represent the People's Army and the President as well as possible in this vital competition for Khacia's gradual foray into the wider world.

Info: Formerly closed off to outside sporting events, the USSK (United Socialist States of Khacia) has opened up significantly in recent years - demonstrated in no small part by the Ministry of Sport allowing a World Stage Rally Championship event to be held in the capital city of Rekagrad and its surrounding Heroji hills.

Day one will commence on Trg President Dragomir Živanović (President Dragomir Živanović Square), outside the People's Assembly - this will be one of the first time Khacian spectators will be able to witness a foreign sporting event, so large crowds are expected. Over this longest leg, the driver will work their way through Rekagrad's historic streets and boulevards before exiting the city and going from tarmac to long flowing sections on gravelled agricultural roads in the Heroji foothills before concluding by the beautiful Mučenici Revolucije monument, commemorating Khacia's martyred revolutionaries who fell during the reunification wars - a picturesque end to the first day.

Day two will start where day one ended - by the Mučenici Revolucije monument. Drivers will travel up steeply inclined long gravel roads into the Heroji hills, which are dense with trees. Once cresting the hill, they will work their way along narrow, yet flowing, logging roads of dirt through the forested area before emerging from the trees into a specially cleared area for the event.

The final day will start from this special cleared area. This will be the most technical leg of the Rally, with drivers working their way down the dirt roads of the Heroji hills via tight hairpin turns with precipitous drops to end in the recently built city of Vojnabaza. Vojnabaza is based in the Socialist Republic of Obalani, one of the five Republics that make up Khacia, allowing spectators from two different Republics to witness this historic rally.
(OOC - relatively new to these applications so if I've messed up some of the data, let me know and I'll edit it asap)

Signups above have been registered, and will be updated in the OP shortly. Of note:

Macbon and The Pearl Empire: your drivers (only Bauçaien, in the case of the latter) have a combined RAT sum of more than 12. Please revise your signups.

As for rally signups, do keep in mind that all three legs CAN have different parameters (this means: all three legs can have different A/T balances, treacherousness, road cleaning effects, etc.). I felt it useful to clarify as I've read the descriptions of the rallies and seen the average speed differences, and assumed this could be a useful bit of information to have in mind; especially on gravel/tarmac events, legs comprised mostly of tarmac would have different a different road cleaning effect IRL when compared to legs mostly held on gravel or snow.

Additionally, if opting for multiple surfaces across an event, please indicate the surface type for each leg. Again, I've seen it in the descriptions, but it would be useful for said information to be specified per leg if applicable to ensure I've understood correctly.

All in all, great signups so far! :)

Team bio: Off the back of a triumphant debut season in WSRC01, reigning constructors champions Iskabil Auto, in collaboration with Ælund Rallisport, return to the pinnacle of rallying hoping to retain their title with the all-new Iskabil Polestar SR. Powered by a front-mid mounted three-cylinder engine, Iskabil's clean slate design promises to be an upgrade with respect to their extensively modified, Hodori Rally-born season one challenger.

Led by Konrad Puntila, Iskabil-Ælund WRT fielded Abovian tarmac ace Axel Novikov and Togonistani hotshot Naomi Keretene on their way to scoring four victories between them — one for the Abovian, three for the Togonistani — across the inaugural WSRC season, beating out a committed campaign from Hodori's ENSADRINK WSR Team Tarogama Mazaregi in the process. Despite the Hodoran outfit's best efforts, spearheaded by Marisa Inyuseo — and with less misfortune to hamper their efforts — Iskabil-Ælund ultimately reigned supreme by the seasons' end, with Novikov also taking the inaugural WSRC drivers' title ahead of his teammate, by virtue of his late-season consistency.

Iskabil-Ælund's WSRC success prompted Ælund Racing to consolidate the outfit's future by freeing up space in its Lintulahti headquarters. With the central facility all but vacated by WGPC powerhouse Tropicorp Racing Ælund, Iskabil-Ælund now enjoys a wider array of technologies and resources with which to further develop their WSRC2 challenger. Though their driver lineup is still uncertain, as is the continuation of Keretene in the championship, the Abovian team looks forward to conserving their previous lineup with the aim to continue with their positive momentum.

The Experience ratings may add up to a maximum of 15, but it’s not a necessary condition.

Driver's bio: 32-year-old Axel Novikov, of Avsidesliggendevuoret, Aboveland, had a short-lived career in international single-seater competition back in WGPC15.

Entered by Iskabil-Ælund World Rally Team in WSRC1, at the wheel of the final evolution of the team's eternal Hodori Rally Championship challenger, Novikov's season got off to a rough start, with a lack of pace in Aboveland and steering damage in Audioslavia seemingly setting the tone for a tough season playing second fiddle to inaugural event winner and teammate Keretene. However, when the Togonistani faltered, the Abovian capitalized. Novikov was able to score points despite moments, scares, and punctures, and his consistency, plus his inherited win in Auruna, consolidated his drivers' title by the end of the season in Hodori.

Driver's bio: Sakke Pajari returns to the World Stage Rally Championship hoping to redeem his tough-love inaugural season as equal status driver to Hodori Rally winner Dario Nülkeschlager. Harkening from the small western Abovian town of Koivuslott, the 18-year-old began driving over ten years ago, at first near his family home on the outskirts of the city and later competing in local folkrace and rallysprint events. Unlike his peers, however, Sakke proved his pace instantly, dominating rallysprints dotted around the Abovian Järvi-maakunta and rising to recognition amongst his local community. Despite stars such as Janne Laukkanen and—his idol—Terho Talvela taking the better part of the public's laud, his pace quickly caught the eye of the Abovian government, who have positioned themselves behind Aboveland's newest rally star in the hopes he'll rise to the level of reigning WSRC champion Axel Novikov.

Though known for his aggressive Abovian driving style and reliability, a near fruitless season with Hülkenberger Motor Group in his WSRC debut poured cold water on his career ambitions: three points finishes out of eight events, including a podium and a fourth place, may not have been nearly enough to raise his stock or his self-worth. However, though his future is uncertain, his intentions remain clear: joined by new co-driver Jarkko Kalliomäki, he aims to return to the top level of rallying with a new mindset, and a renewed hunger to prove his speed.

Driver's bio: Hailing from a small town in the harsh Kimi-Suomen wilderness named Jäämyrsky, Laila Raatikainen is considered by many in Kimi-Suomi to be one of the promising female and all-gender talents the country has produced since the legendary Aurélia Karvonen herself. At only 22 years old, Laila has shown a deep understanding of motorsports in general, a fascination developed when she was 10 years old, and her adaptability across multiple disciplines of this sport has certainly gotten a lot of attention. But if there is any sport she prefers above all, that would certainly be the rally and she will certainly be grateful to represent Kimi-Suomi in the WSRC for the very first time.

As a rally driver, she exhibits the typical Finnish mindset that can develop in the cold this nation is known for, not really aggressive and certainly focused on dancing the car across the many trials of this sport. She has had numerous experiences across different surfaces but if she had any sort of preferred, then the Ice and Snow would certainly be that. Kimi-Suomi is very cold and can get very white at times, so knowing how to navigate that surface is essential to taming Kimi-Suomi's rural roads.

Of course, every rally driver needs a great co-driver to help with navigation and she certainly feels she has that. Ever since she started rallying at aged 16, she has been paired up with a Swede named Pehr Henrik Blomqvist. PHB, as he is called in the rally circles, is 26 and was a co-driver for a number of years before being paired with Laila and ever since that day, they haven't looked back. These two are a close unit, liking to talk strategy and anything possible on lunch breaks and during meetings, while on the track, there is certainly a great trust between the two of them - with one trusting the word and the other trusting the wheel. This connection, which has been classified as "purely platonic" for 2 years now, has certainly helped Laila climb the ranks of the sport and now entering this new frontier, they both hope they can make some sort of impact.

Info: Lumikukkulat is the 3rd largest city in Kimi-Suomi, considered by many to be the "Inland Capital" of the nation, and also considered the Rally Capital of the nation. The Lumen Ralli has been run for nearly 40 years now and has become the jewel in the domestic calendar, though this will be the first time that it will be used as an international rally event. Expect very passionate crowds here, despite the cold, and a Rally that will try to eke out every ability from a driver with 3 distinct sections adored by those who try to tame it.

Day One starts with the Shakedown on Aloitussilmukka (The Starting Loop), a 5km sprint that features a stretch of road and a section of pure snowy terrain, leading to the finish in the stadium section. Then we have Leg 1, nicknamed Sprintti (The Sprint), which will feature similar conditions to that of the shakedown, but with longer stages and a greater emphasis on car control in the windy forests that surround the city.

Day Two is all about the 2nd leg, known as Järvenranta Helvetti (The Lakeside Hell) - a section that features the gravel roads of the rural surrounds of the city, as well as a few jaunts upon the frozen Lake Peter (Pietarijärvi) to add to the challenge. These stages are all about your technical ability and will be an area that may see the most mistakes out of all 3 sections.

Day Three is our finale and the infamous section is known as Pitkä Juoksu Takaisin (The Long Run Back). This section is a combination of the first two sections, a true mix of both tarmac and gravel that will begin the long road back to Lumikukkulat. The final stage ends with a gravel start that will end with a mad dash into the city itself and back to the finish line on Aloitussilmukka.

That is correct, I will consider TJUN-ia a puppet of Kimi-Suomi for this series.

Event name: Rally of TJUN-ia (Rali o YCUJ-ia)

(you may choose to fill out only one of the following which will be applied to all three legs, but will result in a lower chance of selection. If assigning one average stage length to the whole event, the maximum will be 40km.)

Shakedown: Tarmac
Average Speed (km/h): 98km/h
Length (km): 5km
Leg 1:
Average Speed (km/h): 69km/h
Average Stage Length (km): 30km
Leg 2:
Average Speed (km/h): 91km/h
Average Stage Length (km): 30km
Leg 3:
Average Speed (km/h): 111km/h
Average Stage Length (km): 30km

Chance of rain (1%-20%): 8%
Event aggressiveness (1-10): 3
Event technicality (1-10): 7
(Aggressiveness and technicality should add up to 10)
Road cleaning effect (0.1 - 3. 0.1 means the advantage of winning shakedown is negligible, 3 means that road position greatly affects drivers’ speed.): 2
Margin for error (0.1 - 5. 0.1 is forgiving, 5 is treacherous): 2
Info: The town of Trefasefydlwydganwladfawyrynysmôndanwyliadyddraiggocharyrynysgydachoedwigoeddyngyforyngngogleddymôrtawel (pronounced Tref-a-Sefydlwyd-gan-Wladfawyr-Ynys-Môn-Dan-Wyliad-y-Ddraig-Goch-Ar-Yr-Ynys-Gyda-Choedwigoedd-Yn-Gyfor-Yng-Ngogledd-y-Môr-Tawel) in TJUN-ia's NAU Zone is more commonly known as Tref-a-Sefydlwyd, as pronouncing a Welsh name that long can be very tough to do. It's not the largest Welsh settlement in TJUN-ia, that being Dragon's Den (Ffau'r Ddraig), but it certainly is the most famous due to both its long name and for being TJUN-ia's Rally Capital. The TJUN-ian National Rally Championships are always held in Tref-a-Sefydlwyd due to its nice muddy terrain that likes to bite when required, so it was a natural fit to host a WSRC event on these shores if selected.

Day 1 starts with the Shakedown on Y Dolen (The Link), a 5km circuit on the outskirts of the town that is tarmac only before real trouble begins on Leg 1. Each of the 3 legs is the same distance, 40 km, but each is taken at different average speeds. Leg 1 is named Yn Araf (Slowly) as it is the slowest of the three legs, one with many a hairpin turn and sections where car control is absolutely key.

Day 2 moves competitors into the rural areas of the region and the ever-present TJUN-ian jungle, with Leg 2 named Canol (Middle) as it is both the middle portion of the rally and in the middle in terms of speed. This leg features both fast and slow areas, all combined together for an unpredictable day out in the Jungle. This section will also make good use of the rural areas nearby Ffau'r Ddraig, including Y Pwll - a small lake in the middle of a large pit that drivers will navigate both down and back up in the space of 1 stage.

Day 3 will focus on making it back to Tref-a-Sefydlwyd, as indicated in the name Dychwelyd Cyflym (Fast Return). This, as indicated, is all about maintaining a high average speed down both asphalt and dirt roads that will test a driver's reaction times and, as some locals will say, "their balls". The final stage sees the final return home, a dirt start leading into 1 lap of Y Dolen before running into the town itself and the finish in the town square.

Info:

Rally Togonistan is an annual competition taking place at various countryside roads right in the middle of the nation. Hosted in the harbour city of Metavira in south-eastern Togonistan, the rally tends to bring together many motorsports enthusiasts both local and overseas, seeking to test their skills in high speed driving through various country roads going through small villages and miles upon miles of lush tropical rainforests. With the event getting added to the WSRC calendar last season, Togonistan is looking forward to repeat their successful event hosting for another time. Since it's 10th edition, Rally Togonistan has been sponsored by ZX-Flow Energy Drink brand, with the partnership having pushed the event more to the eyes of young audience and promoted Rallying as a sport in general inside the nation, amongst other disciplines of motorsport.

Day 1:

SHD - Papanui Short
SS1 - Papanui 1
SS2 - Ararua 1
SS3 - Awariki 1
SS4 - Rotokawa 1
SS5 - Papanui 2
SS6 - Ararua 2
SS7 - Awariki 2
SS8 - Rotokawa 2
SS9 - Makataharaki

Day 1 Summary: Day 1 starts with Papanui stage right at the outskirts of Metavira. A 15.5 km long gravel road goes through farming fields at the outskirts of the city, ending up in the small village of Kalu. From there, drivers travel to second stage of Ararua, leading through some more countryside roads and going through various small farming villages. Afternoon starts with Awariki stage, which goes alongside a small river for halfway through the stage, eventually leading up to a bridge with road leading into the forest. 4th stage, Rotokawa, starts with a downhill gravel road leading down a forest valley, leading to a beautiful natural lake in the bottom with finish at the lakeside. Afternoon consists of driving through all the stages once more, with the final additional stage around the lake marking an end of the first day.

Day 2:

SS10 - Arapuni 1
SS11 - Kairaki 1
SS12 - Kirkiriroa 1
SS13 - Arapuni 2
SS14 - Kairaki 2
SS15 - Kirkiriroa 2
SS16 - Mangamahu
SS17 - Taitapu 1
SS18 - Paeroa 1
SS19 - Harapaki

Day 2 Summary: Day 2 starts with Arapuni stage, which marks the start of a u-turn in the rally, where drivers must drive through a rocky uphill road that has become famous for being in relatively poor condition, often resulting in crashes for those too eager on the throttle. Following stage goes through a long Kairaki mountain road. A long twisty road going through mountains provides a picturesque view at rainforests down below. The day continues with Kirkiriroa stage, leading down a 14-km long downhill road and ending up at the bottom of the mountain. To add some contrast to the otherwise difficult day, the next stage, Mangamahu, is driven on flat surface parallel with a river flowing through the forest, before drivers start with a 22-km long Taitapu road going alongside the eastern Togonistani coast, allowing a nice view at the sea and the mighty coastal cliffs. The final stage of the day, Paeroa, goes through a long mountain pass with the road eventually leading back to the outskirts of Metavira, the host city of the rally. The final stage of the day, Harapaki, goes down a steep and narrow mountain road, marking an end to the more demanding portion of the rally.

Day 3:

SS20 - Taitapu 2
SS21 - Paeroa 2
SS22 - Takonga
SS23 - Tira Pass
SS24 - Awamate
SS25 - Takonga Reverse
SS26 - Metavira

Day 3 summary: The final day sees drivers go through Taitapu and Paeroa stages once more, before heading out to all-new Takonga stage, taking place in an old stone quarry with a road designed specifically for rallying. From there, drivers head on to Tira Pass, an old road leading through small rainforest at the outskirts of Metavira. Next stage, Awamate, takes place on some relatively safe countryside roads going through a few small villages before drivers head back to the quarry once more in order to drive through the road in reverse. The final stage of the rally will be driven on a flat road just outside the city, with the finish being just a few hundred meters away from Metaviran Expo Hall, which also acts as service park of the rally.

Driver's bio: Last season, Iskabil-Ælund took a huge gamble by signing the then 19-year old Naomi Keretene as a full-time driver for WSRC. Accompanied by a number of controversies due to her rich daddy's girl background, questionable sponsorship ties, fashion statements, childish behaviour and relatively non-spectacular racing portfolio, the Togonistani went on to give a big middle finger to all the doubters by winning the opening round in Aboveland. Over the season, Keretene established herself as a hit or miss driver. However, when it was time to hit, she hit hard and picked up 3 rally wins over the course of the season, helping Iskabil-Ælund establish themselves as manufacturers champions and securing 3rd in drivers standings for herself. Some have grown to love her, others have grown to hate her even more. However, whether it be one way or another, Naomi Keretene is here to stay!

Last season, Poldov signed with Camden to occupy the second car and partner Leora Hargis for the final two rounds of the season. Poldov ended up picking a surprise 2nd place finish in the final round at Hodori after putting in a solid drive which was a shocker even to himself. Whether we'll see the 40-year old again in WSRC is doubtful. However, should there be someone extending him an offer that sparks the flame of rallying spirit in him, we just might...

Driver's bio:
Kälö is a relatively unknown driver to most people in Aurun Rally compared to legends like Ivan Könä, Niko Kaukanna, Lauri Vorlen, and Aina Haukanna but to those who closely watched him behind the wheel on the snowy country roads of Northern Auruna, he was unforgettable, even though he doesn't have wins to his name.

He was born in a small rally-centric town of Iö, where every year, rally cars run through or near the town. After witnessing several rallies throughout his childhood, he dreamt of driving on gravel, ice and snow instead of being a spectator. He wants to get closer to the sport than before. He signed up for a few local folk races where he can prove his skill early on without worrying about excessive expenses. This caught the eye of Ivan Könä and his father, Noru Könä who approached Kälö and a few others to take them into the Könä Rally School to shape them into extremely talented rally drivers. During his time there, he met Zuiha Kailenta who was in the same class as him and the two became close friends as well as rivals. Even though they had a rough start to their professional racing careers, they managed to improve in a few months with the help of Könä.

Kälö and Zuiha later entered the Junior ARC, driving for the Könä Rally Team with two other drivers plus their co-drivers. They would lose out to Schkeska in the championship but their performance throughout the season earned them a permanent backing from Könä and a promotion to ARC. Zuiha, who finished two places behind Kälö, decided to become a co-driver after her performance in Junior ARC "was not good enough to keep up" but was reassured by Kälö and Ivan which led to her final decision. The two eventually became partners before their debut in ARC where they were later loaned to VSK then to Maantos Motorsport Group for a few seasons in the series.

Even though their previous season with Schkeska was plagued with reliability issues and misfortune leading to forgettable results, they are still willing to continue competing in WSRC, completely optimistic to what lies ahead. At least that's what Kälö sees.

Since debuting in the AEC in the mid-2000s, Sport Mikuren has seen some successes on track which resulted in them remaining in motorsports and branching out into other disciplines, most notably rally and touring cars. As the team started to become a popular sight on track, many notable drivers drove for them throughout the years. After receiving funding from the MNA, they have been able to stay competitive despite going against bigger teams like the Aurun Big Three.

After team manager Juri Mikkula announced their plans on competing in the upcoming WSRC 02, Sport Mikuren has partnered with Schkeska Rally for their entry. Schkeska would be supplying Sport Mikuren for the season in hopes to help the team be competitive in the international stage after experiencing a humiliating and cursed first season.

The team also has additional support from Viska's rally team after consulting them about modifications to Schkeska's equipment.

Info:
After the WSRC Rally set in Livonsk in the previous season proved to be popular, the Nisko branch of the MNA submitted a bid to host a rally in the cold, northern city of Nisko, the home of Aurun rally and legendary Aurun rally driver Lauri Vorlen. With various popular stages scattered all around the area of the city providing different challenges to drivers, from the well-developed tarmac stages close to the city and around the towns to the fast and challenging country roads, there is no doubt that Nisko is one of the top choices to host a rally with a historical pedigree unmatched even by Livonsk.

Day 1:
Shakedown is at the purely gravel stage of Pällenjavi at the outskirts of the city, a 4.7km run around a lake and it serves as a preview of what's to come in the following stages as it features fast and flowing sections as well as some tight, twisty sections that tests both car and driver.

Leg 1 starts at the Vallehantala Rally Park, the beginning of the first tarmac stage of Vallehantala I which takes the drivers out of the city and through neighbouring villages for the following tarmac stages before meeting the narrow gravel roads of the forests known as the Nisko-Messälavko at the fifth stage of the leg. The stages are mostly medium-speed with quite a few fast sections across the various flat areas. The first leg ends at the small town of Koikona.

Day 2:
As the drivers start heading north, they face the fastest leg of the rally with a transition from gravel to snow starting at the third stage providing a challenging mixed surface. Nisko's various jumps are scattered throughout the stages from the tame small ones to the largest jumps that are coupled with the high-speed nature of the stages found in the second leg. After a small river crossing (via bridge if not frozen), a slight uphill section follows before descending towards the snowy town of Iö, quickly going through the town and across a fast snowy stage before ending the leg at the neighbouring town of Kimö.

Day 3:
The third and final leg revolves around the snowy, frozen areas of Northern Nisko. Although it is the slowest leg of the rally, speeds here are 87km/h on average and it has both tight, twisty, hairpin-y sections as well as parts known for being flat and fast. There is a frozen lake found on the second stage, Kaulujavi which the drivers must cross using the designated path on the ice. After reaching the village of Raihejantalvia, the following stages will take the drivers south, back towards the city of Nisko where they will end the rally at Värkö, a village at the outskirts of the city.

Note: Elks, foxes, and other wild animals may be encountered throughout the rally.

RAT is 12. I fixed the experience that added up to 16, though.

Team Name: Camden World Rally Team (WRT for short)
Team Nation: Lisander
Team Color (hex code): #0D0F0F, or if it clashes with other Team, #F5FF00
Nationality Trigram: LIS
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 3.5
Acceleration (Between 2 and 5): 3.5
Turning (Between 2 and 5): 5

Team bio: After a debut year of Magic and Fury, we decided to write a different page in our history. To look to the future, having learned from the mistakes of the past. We decided to work with all our passion, but without neglecting safety, solidity and care. That is why, this season, Camden WRT's main partner is Tourism Assistance Group (TAG).

TAG is the oldest and biggest road assistance company in Lisander. You see our white, yellow and black cars around, you are safe. TAG provides a number of services for people on the road. Flat tire? Call and we replace. Busted engine? Call and we send the tow. Tired of driving? Enter one of our 97 centres around Lisander, Ariannin and Saint Ianina, and take a rest, while we care for your vehicle. Car accident? may gods forbid, but we have ambulances and helicopter ambulances ready to send you to the closest hospital. We also have driving lessons, car rental and discounts in lots of stores for our members.

With the arrival of Optimus, Lisander's largest private internet provider, and Hedra, the country's largest chemical industry, our Squaria has gained new capabilities and is ready for another tour around the world, challenging the most inhospitable terrains! Likewise, it is an honour to anticipate that only a few bureaucratic adjustments are missing to confirm the return of the fearless women's duo, Leora Hargis and her Co-Driver, Mor Holstein, for car #4. Hargis and Holstein have revealed to us that they can't wait to get back into the action, and should be joined by two more duos this season. The team's plan is to have a full roster at every stage.

Driver Name: Leora Hargis
Name Trigram: HAR
Nationality Trigram: LIS
Co-driver Name: Mor Holstein
Preferred Car Number: 4
Second Choice Car Number: 44
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 3
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 4
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 5
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Gravel/Dirt Experience (Between 0-10): 4
Tarmac/Asphalt Experience (Between 0-10): 9
Snow and Ice Experience (Between 0-10): 2
The Experience ratings may add up to a maximum of 15.
Driver's bio: 30 years old. Finished 4th in WSRC 1. Leora started as a gentle(wo)man driver, but now she's a very respected woman in the motorsports scene, and not only because she driver with an enviable finesse, but also for her filled pocket. She's the current owner of a chain of car dealers in Lisander, started by her father, Leon Hargis. Leon is now retired, on his seventies, and his youngest daughter continues the story of the family with cars. She is an all-terrain driver and spent a lot of her time and money in racing, not only in touring cars, but also in open-wheelers and Rallycross. Her co-driver, Mor Holstein, despite her young age of 19, has three seasons of experience in international motorsport, two NSSCRA and one WSRC season. With the sponsorship of Hargis, Holstein is establishing herself in other championships of motorsport. It's expected the duo returns to Camden WRT in WSRC2. Curiously, both Hargis and Holstein favourite sandwich is the traditional lisanderian hot dog, which comes with ground beef, Vienna sausage cubes cooked in tomato sauce, sliced Italian sausage with onions, mashed potatoes, canned corn, straw potato and creamy cheddar. This hot dog is famous around the food trucks, especially in racing events, due to its high caloric value.

More TBA, including a Rally.

Team Name: PAN World Rally Team
Team Nation: Khacia

Nationality Trigram: KHA
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 2
Acceleration (Between 2 and 5): 5
Turning (Between 2 and 5): 5
R/A/T ratings should add up to a maximum of 12.
Team bio:
The PAN World Rally Team is the recently-developed rallying branch of the only automobile company within the United Socialist States of Khacia. Short for Proizvođač Automobila iz Naroda (Automobile Manufacturer of the People), PAN is the state-owned manufacturer of all vehicles legally allowed within the USSK. Despite the limitations of Khacia's industrial base and comparative lack of wealth, PAN has become somewhat renowned for its innovative designs. The entrance of Captain Vukašinović into the WRSC and the submission of the Khacian Rally as a potential venue has sparked interest within Khacia regarding rallying. Consequently, the fiercely nationalistic Khacians demanded a Khacian team to root for. President Dragomir Živanović was never one to disregard the adage of bread and circuses, so he demanded that PAN developed a rally car for the second season of the World Stage Rally Championship.

The road car that PAN is most famous for is the PAN A-05, better known as the Raketa or 'rocket' for its explosive speed and unreliability. In a relatively short amount of time, PAN turned this speedy hatchback into a rally car in just a matter of months, cutting it down in weight to just 1615kg and tuning the 1.6-litre turbocharged engine to produce a maximum 419 BHP. Although reliability is sure to be an issue due to the limited modification time, PAN WRT looks forward to representing Khacia and its republics through their performance in the WRSC. Team manager, Srećko Borisov, has been tasked with performing admirably by the President himself - especially at the Rally Khacia. Whether this is possible remains to be seen.

Driver's bio:
24-year-old Takuya Kurosawa, hailing from Aozukiko on the prefecture of Aohara, enters the rally as a newcomer. Rally has been a part of his life ever since he was 6. Rally games, Rally models, Rally merch, you name every rally-related thing, he definitely got it. He ultimately realized his potential to become the best rally driver the world has ever seen when he turned 20. Immediately, he applied for driving and rallying lightning-fast. In less than 2 years, he won every single competition he's joined in.

Winning the Burikinian National Rally wasn't enough for him. He wanted something more, like winning the Lazarus Rally Cup (If such a thing exists), and even the WSRC. He and his partner Maxwell Emerson is ready to wave the Burikinian flag up high on the rally world.

Team bio: The legendary (well, at least in Burikinia) Daikyu Corp. sets its eyes on the WSRC. Sure, they have made some excellent road cars, but entirely new to rallycars. According to them, no other event is more suitable than the WSRC to test their first prototypes of rally cars. To test them out, Daikyu Corp. made a rally team personally approved by CEO Takada Naganomiya. Although it may seem like a new team, watch out for them.
