Tyskerlund Erste Liga

Ever since leaving isolation and being associated with Wintreath, Tyskerlund has always still wanted a way to connect more often with the international community. They never heavily thought about how to do it, that is until Tyskerlund decided to sign up for the World Cup and Baptism of Fire. And with that, The Holy Kingdom saw their one solution: Sports. International competition, whether be at club or national level is always tight, and many are not sure if Tyskerlund could keep up with the heat. However, this is one of the ways for Tyskerlund to enter the fray of international competition. May we, the newly formed Sport-und Leichtathletikverband von Tyskerlund present to you... The Tyskerlund Erste Liga.

Six teams from the current three main continents of Pheremarutorf will compete in a twenty matchday round-robin, where each team plays the other five teams, four times (Home and away twice). The champion of the Erste Liga will be able to compete in next cycle's IFCF Champions League, and the next two teams will be able to compete in the next IFCF Challengers Cup (This is regarding due to the fact that the Erste Liga will only have six teams on it's inaugural season). Expansion of the Erste Liga to include more teams in the future is possible and can be discussed. But for now, Tyskerlund must settle with a grand six. And with that, here are the six teams for the first season of the Tyskerlund Erste Liga!

And with that, we reach the halfway point of the first season. It's very easy to keep up when a league only has six teams, it makes the league much more tightly knitted than if a league, let's say, has sixteen or even twenty teams. Plenty of things have happened within the span of ten matchdays, and i'm not talking about just the matches. A few things have also happened off the pitch, that may result a change in the atmosphere of the Erste Liga, despite it being so new. What are those events that have transcended? Let us see by skimming through what happened.

THAT HAPPENED ON THE PITCH
The First Goal of the Tyskerlund Erste Liga. With all of the matches kicking off at exactly 6:15PM, it seemed everyone was nervous. The first goal should be a memorable one, especially if it's the first for a team AND a league. Well, the Erste Liga's first goal was nothing from memorable. In Halfasten VF - FC Trutzen, Dominik Grassl would score from a knuckle shot just from outside the box, etching the first goal of the Tyskerlund Erste Liga onto his name and Halfasten VF. The match would come to a close with Halfasten VF winning 1 - 0 over FC Trutzen.

VdF Handersea - 1. FC Handersea: Tyskerlund's Feste Rivalität? The two Handersea clubs, VdF Handersea and 1. FC Handersea met against eachother on the fourth and eighth matchdays of the Erste Liga. With the first match being a 1 - 0 win for VdF Handersea, and the second match being a 0 - 0 draw. Fans state their excitement seeing two clubs within the same city play off against eachother, which increases the gauge and attention between fans and the match. This may be the spark of a start between the two clubs... Perhaps a rivalry will start from this small spark?

Already a Goal Record! Just on the first matchday, the Tyskerlund Erste Liga have broken the record for most goals by two teams in one match that might last a while, in the first matchday between Gehesch SC and 1. FC Handersea. 1. FC Handersea went on to win 5 - 3 against Gehesch SC, an astonishing first match! Currently as of the half season, the two clubs are located right in the center of the table at 3rd for 1. FC Handersea and 4th place for Gehesch SC. Who's to say they might stay there, drop down, or even move up? In this case, only their performances and time can tell.

THAT HAPPENED OFF THE PITCH
The Formation of Official Fan Groups. With football's popularity slowly spreading throughout Tyskerlund, many more people have started choosing a club to support. However, many fans seem to be disorganized and this has caused a few problems. And with that, all six clubs agreed to form official fan clubs in order to be able to organize their fans in a more structured order. Many onlookers support the formation of these fan clubs, and their effects were seen from Matchday 7 and onward, with less congestion within stadiums and more organized seating within those stadiums.

Official Requirements for Erste Liga Entry. The Sport-und Leichtathletikverband von Tyskerlund have recently announced the official main requirements for entry into the Erste Liga. The club must be, at the very least, able to hold a full starting eleven and have a manager. The club must have a home stadium to play at. The club must be at least four months old. The club must have an official fan group. And last but not least, the club must be able to financially sustain itself. Other smaller terms are negotiable, but these main requirements stand firm.

National Team Selection Begun! The Sport-und Leichtathletikverband von Tyskerlund have also announced that they have started the plans for the selection of the National Team for the future upcoming Baptism of Fire and World Cup. Although solo performance may play a role in being selected for the team, the SLVT have stated that performance along with teammates and the team in general will play the main role of being selected for the national team or not. Eleven players, plus six substitutes will be named at the end of the season along with staff.

With the second half of the season being played out to the end with no interruptions, the inaugural season of the Tyskerlund Erste Liga is officially over! The first exciting season of Tyskerlund football has been a seemingly short, yet interesting journey for the many players, fans, and onlookers. Even within the second half of the season, there are many things that have happened within the league, even if many of these events transpired on the pitch. Let us not waste anymore time chattering, let us skim over what has happened in the second half of the Erste Liga.

THAT HAPPENED ON THE PITCH
Goals Rain Galore! On the sixteenth matchday of the Erste Liga, the previously held eight goal record has been shattered by two goals more! In the match between VdF Handersea and VS Iderliebe, ten goals combined were scored. By twenty minutes into the second half, VS Iderliebe were already up by a scoreline of 4 - 0. However, due to many defensive mistakes and errors made by goalkeeper Sandro Biel, VdF Handersea were able to claw a to 6 - 4 lead with only a few minutes of extra stoppage time remaining. Surely one of the more exciting matches of the season.

First Bicycle Kick of the Erste Liga. Just when we thought the near end of the first season couldn't get more interesting, we were proven wrong. On the eighteenth matchday between 1. FC Handersea and VS Iderliebe, one player attempted the difficult. A bicycle kick. On the 67th, Emil Korsch gave a corner kick from the left corner flag. As the ball dived into the box, Aayden Schönfinkel rushed into the box intending to meet the ball. He jumped upwards and proceeded to kick the ball into the net past goalkeeper Roman Sulzberger to make it 3 - 3. VS Iderliebe however lost the match to 1. FC Handersea by a scoreline of 5 - 3. A match for VS Iderliebe that surely deserved more.

Falling Fatigue. With many of these new players having only been adapting to football, there have been some cases of over-exhaustion, and a few note of injuries here and there. And one of the more controversial ones had happened on the eleventh matchday. It was a hot and sweltering day, far hotter than usual Tyskerlund conditions. On the 77th, FC Trutzen forward David Wegener was about to collect a pass from Franz Maus before suffering a heat stroke. FC Trutzen notified the referee for injury, however, Halfasten VF continued playing. A fight ensued due to this reason until Wegener was pulled off the pitch by a stretcher. Halfasten VF went on to win 2 - 0 against FC Trutzen.

THAT HAPPENED OFF THE PITCH
How Many Statistics? With the end of the Tyskerlund Erste Liga, counting the statistics seems to be an interesting to do for a new league. The amount of goals scored seemed to be the perfect place to start for fellow analysts and statistic readers. If all is according to the table, there were a total of one hundred and seventy eight goals scored amongst all six clubs (178). The top five goalscorers alone have scored a total of sixty three goals (63). VS Iderliebe have scored and conceded the most goals in the league (41), with their star player Aayden Schönfinkel scoring twenty two (22), the most in the league.

League of Victors and Confederations' Trophy? The Sport-und Leichtathletikverband von Tyskerlund (SLVT) have announced the interest for Tyskerlund to also send teams for the FFI League of Victors and Confederations' Trophy. The top two teams (VdF Handersea and 1. FC Handersea) would be applied into the League of Victors, and the third place club (Gehesch SC) would be applied for the Confederation's Trophy.

Celebrations in Handersea! Even with all of the events that have happened, the end of the season is what you would expect. VdF Handersea lifts the first ever edition of the trophy for the Tyskerlund Erste Liga after finishing in first place on fourty points (40), seven points (7) above city rivals 1. FC Handersea. This is the marking to an end of a great first season, and hopefully many more great seasons of Tyskerlund football in the near future.
