TROLLEBORG NATIONAL TEAM

Nickname: Trolls

Total official games in every tournament +147=50–73
IAC +20=5–9 goals scored 52, goals conceded 34

NATIONAL TEAM

Team right now going through a difficult process of generational change, and after four successful tournaments last two seasons has a string of tournament failures behind. Serious decline in performance was so worrying, that there was a voices to dissolve team at all, because players reached their limit, but majority of fans believe that recent setbacks is only a temporary thing. Expectations are high, especially due to the fact that team is played on home turf, albeit in the last four international seasons Trolleborg lost more games at home than away.

Image

Usually playing in green, much rarer in white, sometimes in red, especially recently, and only one time ever in blue.

COACH

57-year old Morten Troghil is a manager of the team since its creation, won all three trophies and made it to the two finals and right now try to create new team. Recently he looked very tired and there was a proposal to give reins to someone else on temporary basis for a Cup of Harmony, but nevertheless it was decided to continue as things are.

PLAYERS

Team was not experience any serious overhaul after recent failures in WC and CoH.

GOALKEEPERS

Jesper Krogh (26 years). Very fast player who already prove himself on both league and international level, who prove himself good at the second floor, without losing something in his first floor game skills. Things looked like he was destined to be number one for a years, but he have a bad international season and not much better local one, and as result moved to the bench in the national team.
Finnsnes Soderhelm (31). Having spent full first half of career mostly as backup in the first league teams, he move one floor down and soon return to the spotlight as a reliable and competent goalkeeper. With a lot of experience behing him, he is great in handling things in his domain, always cool-headed even in the most difficult situations, while giving sense of security to his teammates. He step in while Krogh has breakdown in CoH, successfully played his part and probably will have a spot number one.
Tomas Kot Kotsson (33). Up to the recent times, it is almost impossible to imagine Trolleborg national team without this charismatic goalkeeper at the number one post. Every success of the team up to the recent time in not a small part depends on him. It was presumed that he is going to retire from international games soon.

DEFENDERS

Jesper Loonstrup (25). Right back\winger, he is flank defender in the preferred Trolleborg style – fast moving, adept in supporting attacking moves, willingly throw himself in the way of the ball, aggressive in tackling. But while have all this qualities, he don’t put performances on par with a great wingers of national team in past. There was a voices to try someone else on this position.
Kasper Wolters (30). He is right back by default, he is very strong, very fast, have a very good shot and even better crossing skill. Having all this, he very often make a lighting runs to the opposition box and sometime substitute right midfielder.
William Schendel (25). Versatile fast moving defender known for his skillful positioning and man-marking, highly effective in breaking opposition attacks, great in the heading, with incredible high crosses-interception rate. At the IAC he make a more than good impression, but two recent tournaments and return of Dushegub to the fore put a question mark over his chances to play in WCQ games.
Aien Troger (31). He is fast, strongly build and extremely good in tackling. It’s very challenging to move into the box past him and he is made a serious progress for four seasons Trolleborg team played in the international football. Recently coach put him on bench, but probably he use him much often in the IAC due to his talents and experience.
Torgeir Dushegub (34). Known as a Column, this tall and strong player usually dominates a box both in the air and at the grass. Being always calm and confidence, he projected aura of them around. Age advanced on him, but he was trying to live up to the fan expectations. Veteran player, many years indispensable for a Trolleborg international team defence, he already announced retirement from international football, but coach nevertheless convinced him to continue.
Joran Du Riis (27). Cold-blooded fighter prove that he more than capable holding his own at the highest level. Agile and fast-moving, but solidly builded and used this for his advantage, he play with composure and responsibility. He have a captain’s band recently, that’s to give a glimpse of his role for a team.
Ruud Kolding (32). Left midfielder, covering lot of ground (altough less and less with years, can press forwards or go back as team need. Albeit seen as a substitute, he won the hearts of fans and a strong place in the first team with his perfect game in the BoF matches, having retained it after WCQ84 and throught many calamities, he make clear his intention to retire, but Morten Troghil talked him back.
Rekdal Lundstram (27). Comfortably carries his defensive duties, tenacious fighter and excellent ball winner also good passer, which was allowed him joined attacks productively and adding depth on the left flank. It will be seen, if he is up to the task of fulfilling role of left defender in the international games. He was not too convincing

MIDFIELDERS

Kasper Windass (25). Broad and strong left midfielder, he looked a little bit sluggish when moving without ball, but everything changes when he have it. Then he moved extremely fast, sweeping away everything in its path due to his mighty build and usually ended move with a clever pass. He is recent addition to the team, but prove himself adapted in the international football well... up to date.
Ruud Kolding (32). Altought there was a voices to give a position on the left to some of the young players, Morten Troghil prefer to bring back this experienced player. Left midfielder, covering lot of ground (altough less and less with years), can press forwards or go back as team need..
Martijn Knopper (25). Another left midfielder, who play left back in his first years as a player, put some strong performances in the Youth League. Untiring worker, capable to bring ball forward fast and precise..
Hendrick Groningen (32). The defensive midfielder, probably the best in his generation, he was not selected to play in BoF and joined team by way, proved himself worthy of a place in the team, caused a lot of problems to the attacking players of the opposing teams. His talent of intercepting ball in the middle and using every possibility to begin attacks was fully appreciated by everyone – apart, probably, of his opponents.
Soren Wittingem (25). Strong player who can run incessantly whole 90 minutes, distributes ball well due to his great passing ability and perfect knowledge of game, and also shows real class at his duties as defensive midfielder, as it was extremely difficult to go past him
Brutil Skrta (25). Very complete player, who posessed ability, stamina, flair, technique and resoluteness in just perfect mix. Shows tremendous accuracy when passing, fine distant shooting skills and ability to lost his markers. In addition to that his stamina allows him to help constantly at the back if need arises. He make a real good debute at the IAC, and put some great game in the WC and CoH, but right now things looked like if he is not a real substitute for Morten Troll.
Finn Finnsnes (33). Playing usually attacking midfielder, free forward or link man between midfielders and attackers, he is swift, smart, good dribbler with a great sense of goal possibilities. Having all this, he didn’t make solo runs without need, and has a habit to review every option before doing something, so opponents never know beforehand what he did next second. He lost some of his flair due to the age, but remain a very dangerous man on the field.
Kenneth Pathmoor (26). He can cover a lot of space and conjure goal opportunity for his forwards from nothing. With his pace, agility and an eye for goal everyone agrees he has a bright future. Kenneth is a regular addition to the squad, altought coach until recently don’t give him too much chance and what this clever and versatile midfielder did on the field looked not too good. But in the recent campaign he prove his right to be counted on.
Morten Troll (29). He is a brightest star amongst midfielders in the whole country. Genius of game, with a wonderful dribbling, beautiful technique, excellent pass and extremely good shot, he won many games for his local team single-handedly, but also a great team player with great repertoire of tricks. Highly probably, he will be a player of generation, and very probably, best player Trolleborg ever had. He brilliantly justified all the positive reviews even when team performance was rather uninspiring, sometimes won games single-handedly. But things looked like he lost something recently.
Rolf Valgren (33). Quick-thinking, with a perfect understanding of game, seeing everyone and everything in the field, and with brilliant passing skills, this man can bring ball everywhere he wants. He definitely add something from international experience, and his wealth of experience personified through by his calmness on the ball. He is one of the BoF veterans, who have been summoned to help team in the wake of WCQ’90, but it’s not clear, if coach find a time in the field for him, while having four other contenders for two positions in the centre.
Jesper Gronholm (27). Recent addition to the team, he was comfortable down the right flank as either defender or midfielder. Competenly hold his own while in defence, he was willingly join any move forward, where he pass ball quickly and thoughtfully, already prove this in the recent games.
Torstein Halst (24). Right winger\forward, with a good passing, master of highly accurate long crosses and very well making in curved shots from outside the box. Willingness to fight for every ball, spare no effort, and, most importantly, improve his skills is what give this very young player a chance to play for national team.

FORWARDS

Kroonquist, Morten (26). Another addition to the team squad, this fast forward known for intensity of his game, and he is capable to maintain workrate in all 90 minutes. With enviable quickeness he moved very fast, turns very well, constantly pressurized rival defenders, with or without balls, and always trying winning back posession. He prove himself as a prolific goal scorer in recent tournament, but there was a doutbs, if he is up to the height that our team needed to won right now.
Stuart Kerr (33). Almost legendary player, worshipped by fans, Stuart is the quick, brave and skillful, moved fast despite age, love to puzzle defenders and having ability shot from everywhere in the box right despite defenders best efforts. Two last seasons in the international football he was mainly sit at the bench, but most probably will have a spot in the starting lineup in two or so games on the group stage and have a solemn retirement moment
Torgeir Berglund (24). Effective center forward in front of goals, having something in common in both Kerr and Gulbranden despite their visible differences. He prove his goal-scoring talents in the national team, but was clearly not convincingly enough.
Torben Kranforde (25). Very fast forward, who have special ability to surprise rival defenders. He also posessed a great skill of positioning himself very well, and regularly sent many defenders and goalkeepers into despair with his precise and deadly shots from both feet. He prove himself prolific scorer at all recent tournaments team taking part of. But WCQ is very much different thing.
Tom Gulbranden (34). Build like a very tall stone wall, he easily can tramp defenders if he wish to do so, but his strong shot, without any preparation at all, give him other opportunity to have a points of popularity with fans other ways. It is looked impossible, that a man of such a stature can bring himself in the air at all, but nevertheless he is – strongly jumping and struck the ball by the head with deadly precision. He was author of some of the most beautiful goals of the team. Gulbranden announced his retirement from the international team recently and was out of the teams almost two last seasons. But it was presumed that he was called to receive a honorary farewell at one of the group games.

TEAM TACTICS AND GAME STYLE

Team always practiced attractive attacking game on a fast pace, with a varied passing and good teamwork and already its style well-known and liked by public. Usually played 4-4-2 with defenders pressed forward whatever possible, or 3-5-2 with a midfielders move back and forth as things dictated. Integral and inalienable part of the team’s game will be mighty pressing, applied whatever on the field when ball is not on our side.

Unsportsmanlike behavior is highly discouraged even if in the interests of the cause, and national team players are required to meet the highest standards possible, so it is completely impossible to imagine a player of the Trolleborg national team faking injury or begging for a penalty. But players are not easily bullied, though, and more than able to stand up for themselves both as individuals and as a team, and have a strong inclination to go tit-for-tat in case of excessive brutality on the opponent’s part.

National psyche tell players to put everything even if odds are heavily against, so almost every match in the league played with high determination, and national team shirt oblige one who wore it for even more efforts – altought it was visible, that players often compeletely lose breath when unexpected setbacks occur. And this is precisely what happened in the two most recent tournaments.

Style –5.

No, there was no confusion, team played attacking football on the field, while having negative style modifier for a scorinating purposes.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers: Yes

STADIUM

Trolleborg this time received the honor of hosting one of the groups of the tournament. All games will be played in the capital, Trolleborg City, on a “1th December” Stadium, which have capacity of 100000 spectators.

Image

This stadium was built by the voluntary labor of ordinary citizens in the honour of the sacred 1th December, Trolleborg Day of Victory. And due to that tickets to all games taken place here is always free. It’s located in the beautiful place – in the middle of a forested area on a peninsula protruding into the sea near the capital. Three stations of subway transport and stops of two bus routes located within two kilometers, and this allow fans arrive and leave stadium quickly and troubleless. Specially designed climate system provides around the stadium constant sunny weather with t +18C, with, maybe, occasional gusts of winds from the sea.
Everyone can find more info about experience of being at the 1st December from the travel notes of two zwangzugers: Parts 1 and 2. And country guests can also use other installments of this story to have deeper understanding of Trolleborg society and culture with a view to use in their own storylines.

Also we can refer you to the experience of the stadium tour: Part 1 - 2 - 3 - 4

You can also add to your story Trolleborg Wings international airline, and\or Trolleborg International Airport.

And, as always, Trolleborg open to cooperation. If you have something in mind and need my input or additional info, and you can reach me by TG.

....Zzzzzooooooouuuuu....
[white-blue flash]
[woman in a business suit with a smart and slightly-smiling face emerges from nowhere]

Greetings!
It’s me, AI Keithss. I am happy to greet guests of the country at the Group Stage of 15th edition of Independents Cup.

Dear guests, I am a computer system created seven years ago specifically to provide maximum convenience to the guests of the country. Since Trolleborg is located in the far corner of the South Pacific, quite far from all other landmass of the region, we think that your path will be either by rare cruise ships or aircraft. Our country is connected by direct flights to the region where Tjorl is located, by Antibuda Air flights, and to The Rejected Realms by regular TW flights, and thanks to an extensive route network, almost every corner of the world can be reached with transfers. I provide for the interests of tourists from their arrival at the port\landing in the Trolleborg International Airport (and in case you are flying “Trolleborg Wings”, then from the moment you enter the aircraft).

Upon arrival, I will find you something to do according to your interests, from the best place to sipping rare beers to exploring primeval caves, find the best way to get to your desired place, I will advise you where to spend the night or eat according to your taste and wallet thickness/ We have places to stay for every taste, from fashionable hotels to authentic old dugouts, a huge selection of restaurants and the ability to quickly get and deliver to your table something that is not usually served in the country. A developed system of museums, including the famous sports museum with all the trophies won by the national football team, is also at your service. Trolleborg is a big country, almost its own continent, and there is something for everyone to do besides football... as we joke, there is everything from diving in polar waters to diving in the tropics. For those for whom football is most important, the tournament will be held in the center of the capital during the tournament, as was already done during Wonder Cup, a big virtual football tournament. It is supposed to arrange competitions in a whole set of VR games related to football, including the most recent product "Eight Steps to Win", dedicated to the latest Cup of Harmony. And you do not need to bake where to exchange money. The electronic payment system will allow you to spend your favorite Dike Sterling, Gold Bars, Zito, Mark effortlessly. Even if you pay usually by snail shells or stone rings three meters in diameter, we accept and convert it.

It's a big event of the country history, taking part in a major international tournament as a host. Many Trolleborg residents see what is about to happen as one of the most important events of their lives. Last season, our country already hosted one of the groups of the strange Wonder Cup tournament, and it was a rather disappointing experience, but we all do not lose hope that this time everything will be more positive, better, with much more fun and tournament will be memorable for everyone. We are determined to make your stay in the country comfortable and fruitful as possible, although we understand that there may be difficulties. After all, our group includes teams of countries with very different principles of government - democracies, autocracies, liberals, anarchists, and, of course, completely dissimilar views of how to live our lives. And in addition it can be difficult to immediately adapt to our own life full of holograms and computer systems. But we will try. Contact me as soon as the need arises.

....Zzzzziiiiiiuuuu....

IAC 15 Roster

Postby Belnegau » Sun Mar 20, 2022 9:14 am

Herein may thou find the names of the brave knights and lords who shall take the field for the honor of Belnegau. Landgraf Hartwig von Belnegau, feeling always great compassion and high regard for these, the honored retainers of his household, caused not one man of the noble eleven who did battle two years ago on the fields of Belngau to be omitted.

Marshal: Freiherr Johann the Bald
Freiherr Johann holds a small keep and lands in Heidingen. He was a bosom companion of Lord Hartwig in youth, and remains a close counselor at court. He is a cunning warrior, and serves Lord Hartwig ably as a field commander. Thus, the Landgraf granted him the command of the ball-kicking knights without hesitation.

Keeper of Goal: Ritter Liutprand von Neumark
Sir Liutprand has come only of late to our court, having been until now in the service of Ludwig the Brandenburger. His lands having been ravaged by the Poles and rendered desolate two years ago, he left Brandenburg and came to Lord Hartwig’s court in hopes of earning his favor. He is a shrewd man, dark of hair and of mood. He is slow to act, wishing always first to consider his course. This shall serve him well in keeping the net, that last bastion of defense.

Defender: Junkherr Jörg von Wartburg
Jörg is the youngest son of a family of good standing in Thuringia, but without inheritance, he left home to make his fortune elsewhere. He is somewhat mistrusted by some as an opportunist not above underhanded tactics.

Defender: Ritter Berthold von Ebeling
Called “the Stalwart” by his fellows, Berthold is the personal bodyguard of Lord Hartwig, and is by his side with shield and sword day and night. He is a stern man, not one for jests or merriment, unless it is in celebration of feats of arms.

Defender: Edler Treniota the Samogitian
A convert from that tribe of the Lithuanians inhabiting the lands between Livonia and Prussia, Treniota is a fearsome warrior. He strikes his foes with the savagery of a heathen despite his baptism.

Midfielder: Ritter Wulfstan the Yodeler
Wulfstan is an ever cheerful man, whose love is given as much to song and food as to battle and tourney. A strong man, and a powerful fighter, but if he is quick to battle he is also quick to friendship.

Midfielder: Ritter Lothar the Crusader
Lothar has spent the past two winter seasons fighting alongside the Teutonic Brothers as they wage their campaigns against the heathen Lithuanians and their allies the Poles. He is renowned throughout Belnegau for his tireless strength and spirit.

Midfielder: Junkherr Leopold von Mühlenfurt
A son of a disgraced family, Leopold went his own way, seeking the renowned generosity of Lord Hartwig rather than sink to dirtying his hands with the money-grubbing trade of merchants as his father did. He is ever eager in battle to prove his worth is more than that his family’s name would suggest.

Midfielder: Ritter Rudolf the Sheep-Slayer
Rudolf is a thinner man, though stronger than some would judge him, and quick to anger. It is said of him that in his wroth, he once cut through a shepherd’s flock with his sword, rather than wait for the sheep to clear the way.

Midfielder: Ritter Heinrich von Salza
A distant cousin of the illustrious and highly regarded Grandmaster of the Teutonic Order, the honorable Hermann von Salza. Heinrich is somewhat the target of scorn among Lord Hartwig’s knights, as they say he fears battle. He is a nimble man, quick on his feet, and it is a fine swordsman who can land a hit upon him, whatever others may say.

Attacker: Junkherr Kristoff von Oberhaldenau
Kristoff is a young man, who can barely grow a beard at all. He has yet to come fully into the strength of a man, but is as quick as any in Belnegau, and can leap clear over a horse’s back.

Attacker: Ritter Heintz von Heidingen
Son and heir of Freiherr Johann. Heintz is a tall, broad-chested man who it is said can carry a horse one hundred paces and drink a barrel of ale in a sitting. Who better, then, to be first in the attack, and assault the defense of the foe?

The kit, naturally, shall be full armor as properly befits a knight, quite similar to this, excepting that the surcoat shall bear the eagle of Belnegau, rather than the cross of the Teutonic Order. Being of chivalrous nature, and in the interest of good sporting fairness, the knights of Belnegau shall not carry weapons in their matches.

Note: In the Adabian timeline, the IAC takes place in June-July 2038. Age is as of June 1, 2038.

The Adabian National Football Team

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
-Romans 12:19 (King James Version)

Demonym: Adabian (plural Adabians)
Association: Adab Football Association (AFA)

BACKGROUND
For the first time, the Adab national team came into the Independent Associations Championship as defending champions. This, along with qualification for the World Cup as well as participation in the Eagle’s Cup as IAC representative, is but one landmark in Adab’s continued rise to the upper echelons of the football world. Saad Kaykali and his staff now knew for certain that Adab has the potential to truly become one of the very best teams in the multiverse. Some have begun to wonder if this is the beginning of a golden age in Adabian football; Kaykali insists that the team have not even entered that stage yet. “This is just the beginning,” Kaykali declared. “We haven’t seen the best of this team yet. We have proven that we can overcome great challenges, and I am confident we can solve even greater ones.”

KIT
Image

The national team's kits, designed by Ahmad Enlil (the first President of the Football Association) in 1907, are currently manufactured by Shining Sun Company, owned by Rahman Ashurbanipal, businessman and grandson of Emperor Tizqar III.

STAFF
Manager: Saad KAYKALI - Male – born January 20, 1974 (age 64)
At the peak of his power and popularity following Adab’s recent success on the international stage, some around Saad Kaykali have nevertheless noticed that the manager appears tired and worn out at times, which is not very surprising considering everything that has happened around him. But the idea of retirement has never been floated, at least not publicly. Kaykali insists he is “more than ready and excited to help carry this team forward and achieve even greater success”.

Assistant manager: Rashid ABBAS - Male – born February 15, 1987 (age 51)
Formerly a star player in the island country of Faraby, now an associated state of Adab, Abbas now finally finds himself sole assistant manager to Saad Kaykali after a recent chain of surprising events. He is determined to do his best in this capacity, all the while refusing to discuss rumors that he has greater aspirations. Currently also manager of the under-21 team.

General coach: Yitzhak BENNETT - Male – born September 20, 1976 (age 61)
Variously described as quiet, active, calm, and attentive, Bennett is very much respected by the players, who admire his work ethic, loyalty to the national team, and willingness to listen to them.

Goalkeeping coach: Faishal AR-RASHID - Male – born August 14, 1978 (age 59)
Regarded, much like Bennett, as a stabilizing influence in the national team and respected by staff and players alike.

Physio: Hamza RIDHA - Male – born January 15, 1983 (age 55)
A longtime friend of Kaykali. Widely respected by fellow staff and players for the understated way by which he performs his job.

STARTING LINEUP
Note: I may reveal the starting lineup and substitutes for the next match(es) in my RPs. Should I not RP or should my RP not contain any information regarding the starting lineup and substitutes, then feel free to pick them yourself.

GK: 1 – Satchit CHANDRASEKAR – Male – born February 7, 2015 (age 23) – Colonial Sile (Vilita) – 0 goals
Chandrasekar’s transfer to Colonial Sile, one of the foremost clubs in Vilita, came as a shock to many but was nevertheless fully deserved. Suddenly catapulted from the under-21 squad to the senior team with Mohammed Marramzi’s retirement, Chandrasekar proceeded to win the IAC in his first season on the starting lineup and then achieve qualification for the World Cup, solidifying his status as the best young goalkeeper in the country – and one of the best keepers overall.

LB: 2 – Tansu ALTUN - Female – born February 25, 2009 (age 29) - Mosul - 0 goals
Fondly called the "heart of the squad" by her teammates. Kind, polite, smiling, beautiful inside and out, she gets along easily with all the staff and players. Yet her soft exterior hides a hard, relentless, unyielding side to her, which shines through every time she is called to perform on the pitch.

CB: 3 – Shania ENMERKAR - Female – born January 20, 2008 (age 30) - Baghdad City - 0 goals (Vice Captain)
Widely seen as one of the leaders of the “female wave” in Adabian football, observers nevertheless agree that Enmerkar has earned her place in the team by merit, rather than merely by virtue of her gender. The other female players in the squad look up to her as their leader and spokeswoman, and it is she who often goes to Kaykali to communicate the women’s concerns and opinions.

CB: 4 – Yousif ISSOU - Male – born September 27, 2004 (age 33) - Adab United - 0 goals
A reliable defender, what he lacks in star power he makes up for in tenacity, a seemingly endless energy reserve, and impressive performance on the pitch day in and day out.

RB: 14 – Manishtushu SHARKALISHARRI – Male – born August 20, 2013 (age 24) – Baghdad City – 0 goals
An instrumental member of the Di Bradini Cup 51 squad, but has not gained much playing time with the senior national team. Now is his opportunity to prove himself in front of the entire multiverse. Originally a right-back but moved to the center to replace the retiring Taymour Frangieh.

LM: 6 – Emma ARTHUR - Female – born November 18, 2012 (age 25) - Tihon (Chromatika) - 3 goals
A representative of the Anglo-Adabian community, the second-youngest member of the squad. Widely seen as a young prodigy before maturing into one of Adab’s best midfielders. Estranged from her family, traumatized and haunted by what had happened to her and Alulim Sinmuballit, she shocked many by handing in a transfer request upon the conclusion of the last World Cup, stating publicly that she wanted to “go away to another country”, but nevertheless confirming that she would continue to play for the national team.

CM: 18 – Naram-Sin SAMANU – Male – born March 29, 2018 (age 20) – Baghdad United – 0 goals
Commands a huge presence at midfield, especially for his age. Tipped to be a future star midfielder in the Adabian league and for the senior national team.

RM: 8 – Ephraim ORLEV - Male – born April 18, 1999 (age 39) - Mosul – 8 goals
A veteran from World Cup 81, Orlev remains an integral part of the squad who can be relied upon to drive forward the team’s hallmark counterattacks. He was reportedly uncomfortable with what he perceived to be his status as the team’s token Jew, although this was assuaged by the arrival of Rebekah Yissakar.

LAM/LW: 22 – Kastiliasu AKAPTAHA – Male – born March 27, 2014 (age 24) – Baghdad City – 35 goals
Already widely acclaimed as a future superstar and one of the finest strikers in Adabian football, young Akaptaha has now secured his place on the starting lineup, continuing the regeneration of the national team as the venerable Enlilbani Yargab nears his fortieth birthday.

RAM/RW: 10 – Rebekah YISSAKAR - Female – born January 20, 2013 (age 25) - Adab United – 39 goals
Brash, funny, happy-go-lucky, all those words have been used to describe Rebekah Yissakar, but do not let her bubbly, excitable personality distract you from the fact that she is one of Adabian football’s rising talents, with a deadly finishing touch that secured her a place at the forefront of the national team. Poised to form a new, deadly partnership at the front with Kastiliasu Akaptaha, which will prove particularly useful to the national team once Enlilbani Yargab retires.

CF: 11 – Enlilbani YARGAB - Male – born April 21, 1999 (age 39) - Baghdad City – 114 goals (Captain)
At age 39, Adab’s greatest player is widely rumored to be on the verge of retirement but has so far neither confirmed nor denied it. Some believe this IAC will be his final international tournament, although others expect him to hang around for at least one more World Cup. With Akaptaha now deployed on the wing, Kaykali is expected to increasingly rotate Yargab and Nadje Barzani; although his agility and skill have only declined a little from his peak, Yargab nevertheless seeks to preserve his body and prolong his career and understands that the younger players such as Akaptaha and Barzani adapt more easily to the gegenpressing tactics.

SUBSTITUTES
GK: 12 – Akurgal SHULGI – Male – born May 15, 2017 (age 21) – Damascus Steelers – 0 goals
Formidable young keeper whose adept, acrobatic defending dragged Adab to the final of the 14th Under-18 World Cup in Xanneria and Starcom.

LB: 13 – Adnan AL-TIKRITI – Male – born July 20, 2015 (age 22) – Damascus Steelers – 0 goals
Dogged defender who brought Adab to the final of the Di Bradini Cup 51. Flies under the radar publicity-wise but prefers to let his achievements on the pitch speak for themselves.

CB: 15 – Sarrugi AKSHAK – Male – born May 29, 2016 (age 22) – Vilitan League (TBD) (Vilita) – 0 goals
Made headlines with his unexpected transfer to the Vilitan League, although he has more than proven himself as a capable defender at the Under-18 and Under-21 World Cups.

RB: 16 – Sally THOMAS – Female – born October 5, 2015 (age 22) – Beirut – 0 goals
Another instrumental member of the Di Bradini Cup 51 squad. May well prove herself even more with the senior national team.

LM: 17 – Salman AL-MUNTAR – Male – born May 10, 2001 (age 37) – Adab United – 4 goals
A member of the ‘old guard’ – Adab’s squad from World Cup 81, Saad Kaykali’s first tournament in charge – now back in the squad and expected to play a mentoring role to the younger players as well as serve as a ‘super sub’ when needed.

RM: 19 – Amara EMMITA – Female – born January 19, 2016 (age 22) – Baghdad United – 0 goals
Easily runs circles around her opponents with her slick, graceful style of play. Widely considered as a potential replacement for Ephraim Orlev in the starting lineup upon his retirement.

LAM/LW: 20 – Adanirari UHWAN – Male – born June 10, 2000 (age 37) – Mosul – 10 goals
A member of the ‘old guard’ – Adab’s squad from World Cup 81, Saad Kaykali’s first tournament in charge – now back in the squad and expected to play a mentoring role to the younger players as well as serve as a ‘super sub’ when needed.

RAM/RW: 21 – Shamsuiluna ZAMBIYA – Male – born May 27, 2000 (age 38) – Mosul – 13 goals
A member of the ‘old guard’ – Adab’s squad from World Cup 81, Saad Kaykali’s first tournament in charge – now back in the squad and expected to play a mentoring role to the younger players as well as serve as a ‘super sub’ when needed.

LAM/LW: 9 – Jushur AL-KUFA - Male – born August 27, 2003 (age 34) - Damascus Steelers – 20 goals
A longtime star of the Adabian domestic leagues, the 34-year-old al-Kufa finds himself sidelined with the ascent of Kastiliasu Akaptaha but doesn’t complain about it. A consistently polite and unassuming man, he is respected by all of his teammates.

CF: 23 – Nadje BARZANI – Female – born March 14, 2017 (age 21) – Beirut – 0 goals
Barzani has made a name for herself as one of the Premier League’s best players and one of its most explosive forwards, alongside Kastiliasu Akaptaha, but has not made much of an impact in the national team with her spot in the starting lineup occupied by the seemingly ageless Enlilbani Yargab. But time waits for no one, and as Yargab rapidly approaches his fortieth birthday a rotation between him and Barzani is expected to become a defining feature of the national team.

STADIUM
Image

Adab City Stadium, the pride and joy of Adabian football, was completed in 1940. Located in the northern part of Adab City, the stadium was able to accommodate 40,000 people at the time of its opening. Renovations in 1978 made it an all-seater stadium and expanded its capacity to 55,350. Later it increased to 75,000 following upgrades in 2009-10 and then 76,500 after another upgrade in 2019. It is currently home to the Adabian national football team and Adab City FC.

TACTICS AND FORMATION
The team will use 4-3-2-1, the "Christmas tree" formation, with an emphasis on gegenpressing – immediately working to take back possession after losing the ball and launching a quick counterattack before the opponent can take the initiative. Any opposition players with the ball will find themselves swarmed and cut off quickly. The orientation towards gegenpressing has been offered as evidence of Rashid Abbas’ increasing influence as he seeks to modernize the team in his capacity as assistant manager.

Goalkeeper Satchit Chandrasekar has enjoyed a sudden and meteoric rise from under-21 keeper to first-choice senior team keeper, aided by the decline and retirement of Mohammed Marramzi. With Taymour Frangieh now also having retired, Shania Enmerkar finds herself leading the defense, her limitless energy and tenacity – which she has demonstrated both on and off the pitch – making her particularly suited for this role.

At midfield, Emma Arthur finds herself paired up with Naram-Sin Samanu, a graduate of the under-21 team who is now seeking to continue his successful career in the senior team. Their agility and teamwork allow them increased coverage of the pitch and domination of possession, which they skillfully use to quickly transfer the ball away from the opposing team and to the attacking trio of Kastiliasu Akaptaha, Rebekah Yissakar, and the great Enlilbani Yargab. At age 39, the country’s greatest player remains by far its most lethal finisher, although he now largely avoids ostentatious displays of acrobatics and dribbling skills which marked his younger days in favor of simple runs towards the penalty box. In a further concession to his advancing age, Akaptaha and Yissakar are also gradually bearing more and more of the goalscoring burden, and it is expected that Yargab will be substituted or even not played at all from time to time in favor of Nadje Barzani. Yargab (or Barzani whenever she plays) will occasionally drop back to serve as a false nine, leaving a hole in the opposition defense to be exploited by the wingers and attacking midfielders.

The Grand Journey Commences!

HUElavia begins their 10th appearance in a favorable group in the most ambitious IAC tournament yet.

HUElavia XI at The 14 Stars
1 Lettmann, 4 Vargas, 2 Lavezzi, 3 Higashi, 5 Mitarte, 6 Font, 8 Brousseau, 10 Navarro-Hamada, 7 Honda (C), 11 Chanca, 9 Nascimento
Special Alternative Uniform will be worn

For the 10th time in HUElavian football history, Los Amarillos/Os Amarelos will be playing in yet another Independent Associations Championship. 28 years ago, this team was returning to the IAC after 12 years of absence, having two sporadic appearances in the competition. 28 years later, they come in as one of the favorites, despite their Legacy of Failure in the IAC Finals with an 0-5 record, and they still believe in their chance to win and lift that coveted IAC title that has eluded them for so long.

This historic 15th edition of the competition saw the HUElavian Football Association submit an ambitious host bid, where they were seeking 15 other co-hosts to add their own venues to host matches throughout the tournament. Fortunately, 15 other nations submitted their venues to the bid, and the IAC 15 "Multiverse" bid won via unanimous vote. Today, Estadio Nacional (100,000) in Curumba will be hosting matches for IAC 15, with the stadium serving as the venue for the IAC 15 Final.

Led by Henrique Dias de Azevedo, one of HUElavia's most famous and popular actors in the present, the draw was conducted in Curumba, and the 48 teams were drawn into 8 groups of 6 teams. HUElavia (5) was drawn into Group C with the likes of Freeport Isles (UR), Sudilia (UR), The 14 Stars (22), Abanhfleft (15), and The Republic of Dansen (UR). Generally speaking, a decent group for HUElavia to play in, where they are sharing co-hosting duties for the group with debutants Sudilia. Since HUElavia is the higher ranked host, they get to play their 5 Group Stage games in Curumba, where it is expected for the games to be sold out throughout the group stage.

For Coach Conavacio, he comes in on his final months of his contract with the HUElavian National Football Team. Despite the poor performance in the 82nd Cup of Harmony, the HFA opted to keep him on for two more years to see what he can do at IAC 15. While there are plenty of veterans returning, such as team favorites Lettmann, Brousseau (nee Doisneau), Honda (nee Yamane), and Nascimento, there are plenty of young faces in the roster making their National Team debuts. Most notably is David Navarro-Hamada, the 18 year old son of Real Curumba CF and HUElavia legends Marc Navarro (who scored the 1st ever World Cup goal for HUElavia) and Ayuka Hamada-Navarro (who was the first female to score in the World Cup for HUElavia). Back then, those two were talented teenagers who made a big name for themselves and were part of the great runs of HUElavia at the IAC. Today, their son will look to take up where they left off and be part of the next grand generation of HUElavian footballers. Other great young talents includes the rising talent of Gonzalo Balderas at the wings, Duarte in the midfield as a promising player for the Pinoy-HUElavians, and Ardance, the Eskadi-HUElavian talent that is similar to famous HUElavian defensive legend, Ivan Mendieta-Martinez, the Captain of HUElavia for their first ever World Cup. While there were some criticisms for his choice in young players, it was generally widely positive reactions from the press and supporters for the choice in players. It fills the veterans who are established and talented while bringing in some new crops of players for the future.

In HUElavia, fans are buying tickets for the games in droves, collecting merchandise and preparing for what can be an entertaining and exciting tournament. The popular Sticker Album being produced is coming off shelves as fans are buying them trying to fill out the pages with all the teams and venues, as well as the official ball and the Trophy. Curumba is also preparing for the influx of fans from the 5 other teams of the group, as they are optimistic for the economic and touristic boom that would be coming for this tournament. The team trains in the HUElavian Football Academy, the main grounds for all levels of HUElavian football as they study film and prepare to play their opening match against The 14 Stars. For the team, there is a sense of optimism and energy that they feel that they could maybe break past the glass ceiling and finally win the IAC. But, there are at least 5 Group games to get through, and they need to play well to be able to make the knockouts and take it a game at a time.

Regardless, the first match is upon us and there is great excitement all around for this edition that goes all throughout the multiverse, across different universes and timelines. Here's to a great opening match.

FORCA HUELAVIA! VAMOS HUELAVIA! GO HUELAVIA!

TACTICS

The Panthers are famed for their constant energy. Without possession, they aggressively press, closing out on poor passers and players in vulnerable positions - especially on the flanks - as soon as the ball is lost. When the ball is won back, they push forwards, emphasizing verticality, quick movement, and teamwork over individual flair. It's an attractive style of football, but it is also a bit naïve, as they tend to wear down late in games and are a bit sloppy in the back.

The key players in the system are Youssef Blanco, not the biggest goalscorer but a dynamite presser with a deft touch, and Abu Mansur, whose endless stamina will make him the team's defensive anchor, especially late in matches. With the retirements of the team's core playmakers in Ahmed Fernandez and Ali Al-Qushayri, there will be massive pressure on Araz Fernandez and Abdellah Elias to take on the creative load. Additionally, with stalwart captain Yussuf Bendahan gone, the defense may be more fragile than usual unless new captain Abbas Osman, formerly Bendahan's right-hand man, can pick up the slack. There isn't much of an emphasis on width, except that provided by the tireless fullbacks al-Hadda and Youssef (possibly the best player on the team), enabling Fernandez and Alami to cut inside and make plays in the box. Most of Almuzahara's goals will come from one devastating long-ball right after regaining possession, followed by a series of deft interplays in the box to stymie the defense with rapid passing before a shot opens up.

Two years after the 90th World Cup, of which the Adaikesians showed good showing in the Qualifiers despite not qualifying to the Final Round, the United Adaikes Football Association will be sending the men's national football team, as what they have sent in the previous Independents Associations Cup (with some players already retired from international football competition) to represent the country in the 15th edition of the IAC!

The Eshialand Soccer Federation
Roster for Independent Associations Championship XV

Ages and stats updated to the start of the CoH. Assume all ages are a year behind and caps and goals are a bit lower than they should be. Contact me if you have any questions, thanks ^-^

What happened last year?

The Owls managed to do what nobody had ever expected of them. They got to the quarterfinals of the IAC, beating the top two seeds on their way there. Locked in a different time and place, a veritable fantasy land, they lived out something even better than any Eshian's wildest fantasy. Their loss to Kriegiersien, however, left many with a sour taste in their mouths. There was something missing that this team needed to break through to the final four. Where would they find this final breakthrough? Who knows. Hopefully they find it, however.

First international: Aut-Ves-Nat 1-3 Eshialand (BoF LXXV)
Best win: Eshialand 5-0 The Jovannic (WCQ LXXXIX), Annyeong Oppa 0-5 Eshialand (IAC XIV)
Worst loss: Eshialand 1-5 Sendhang (WCQ LXXXVIII), Abanhfleft 5-1 Eshialand (CoH LXXX), Eshialand 2-6 Zwangzug (WCQ XC)
Most goals for: Eshialand 5-1 Qzvarkian Qaz (pre-CoH LXXX), Eshialand 5-0 The Jovannic (WCQ LXXXIX), Eshialand 5-3 Kiltoch (WCQ LXXXIX), Juvencus 2-5 Eshialand (IAC XIV), Annyeong Oppa 0-5 Eshialand (IAC XIV), Eshialand 5-3 Lisander (WCQ XC)
Most goals against: Eshialand 2-6 Zwangzug (WCQ XC)
Highest-scoring match: Squornshelan Remnant States 4-4 Eshialand (WCQ LXXXVIII), Eshialand 4-4 Felinetopia (IAC XIII), Eshialand 5-3 Kiltoch (WCQ LXXXIX), Qasden 4-4 Eshialand (pre-IAC XIV), Eshialand 2-6 Zwangzug (WCQ XC), Eshialand 5-3 Lisander (WCQ XC)

Stars across the sky

plot music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eNBEz9SAsk

As the Starsian team came together again for a new challenge some new faces were among them like Klara Jenssen a tough and experienced defender and also hot scoring sensation Christian Fourseasons.
However none of them should expect to be a starter, Landry had worked on a good and solid team now and he was not planning on giving up anything to his opponents and most importantly not to Eshialand itself.

Landry: ''Alright team we are together again, Christian, Klara and Zeyna have joined the team as you see as replacements for Maximillian Flare, Nicolay Moon and Morris Valerian.
You all are the ones defending the Starsian pride, we have had a good cycle in the Cup of Harmony and World Cup Qualifiers and this is our chance to now show to the world that we are a force to be reckoned with.''

Zeyna was along with Federico the youngest of the squad, they felt honored yet also kinda unimportant as they both knew they would not play any matches probably for being young players.
While the Starsian league was a place for great young talents it often was not a good place for senior players to develop themselves and this season had a few new additions to the game aswell in the league.

Landry: ''Our first opponent is HUElavia, we already played them and we will also face Abahnfleft again who we know are a bad team but should not be underestimated at all times as we all know.
In this group stage we have a chance to advance to the next round, i aim to atleast go through the group stages and do equally good to our last preformance and if its possible even better then last time.
We are getting more and more technical players but some of the younger player miss the physical aspect, we are gonna train on that and i hope you will use thay training during your first match already.''

Zeyna was the first player from abroad she played in Baker Park and she was aksed alot of question how it was abroad and how the people and playstyles were there but the answer was very simple to that.
All these nations weren't as technologically advanced but they played football on a very high level, one that we as Starsian haven't reached yet and we have to work hard for if we want to get on their league level.
Zeyna literally outplayed everyone on the field one after the other, it was like she was superhuman although it was just the training in Baker Park that exponentially increased her skill level like that.

They trained hard for their first match but meanwhile something else would be going on, something we are not aware of yet......

TEAM HISTORY
This is the official roster, featuring the Elite Eleven, an independent squad of Drawkians who have played all sports at a professional level for a confusingly long time. The old Kick Corps has been essentially removed, the players let go, and replaced by this squad of ridiculously skilled, annoyingly arrogant, and possibly immortal sportsmen. Nobody knows where they came from, or why DISC decided to replace the Kick Corps with them, but here they are. Just don't ask the baseball fans about them.
Drawkian soccer, and indeed, sporting in general, is mostly offensive-minded. This is reflected in the style indicator and in the formation. Drawkian soccer has not really been exposed to outside influences, and thus may look or feel strange to those used to "normal" football. Nevertheless, the Eleven are still good at what they do, and prize in an enduring game, moving the ball around nearly constantly and keeping energy going, aiming to tire out the opposing team. Of course, Drawkians aren't humans, but you can read about that elsewhere. Despite the fact that usually soccer is a female-only sport in Drawkland, the Elite Eleven have overturned that caveat as the higher-ups deemed them a suitable replacement in the interim as the real Kick Corps hides away for a few cycles and gets their shit back together.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my Scorers: Yes
Choose Scoring Events: Yes
Godmod Scoring Events: Yes
RP Injuries to my Players: Yes
Godmod Injuries to my Players: Yes
Yellow Card my Players: Yes
Red Card my Players: Yes
Godmod Other Events: Yes
As far as these go, I'm fair game for anything. You should know what is and isn't drastic RP, and if you think your RP is on the drastic side, TG me first. But I'm still basically up for anything.
I'd like to request that injuries or cards don't do anything outside of the scope of a single game or maybe 2. Don't want anything tournament or cycle-ending. Red cards should be limited to late knockout stages, and I'd probably think that there should be no more than 2 players red carded per tournament.
The Elite Eleven are sorta oddballs. I mean, they're a group of 11 dudebros, but they're supposedly immortal or something. Keep that in mind.

Disclaimers of various sorts:
I don't know very much about soccer. If I RP something weird, it's because I have little to no experience with this sport. But whatever.
If you have any questions about anything involving me, this team, my nation, this competition, life, etc., feel free to telegram me.

Chapter 57: The Decision

This is a flashforward chapter. The next chapter will return to the main story a few months before.

July 2037
Adab City

She hated the harsh glare of the lights. Used to love it, but now she hated it more than almost anything in the world. She couldn’t believe how her younger self loved the spotlight so much, only to now want nothing more than to get away from it. She hated everything about this: the drama, the suspense, this whole idea of a TV program, even hated herself sometimes for putting herself through this.

But just this one gig and she’s out. Out of the country. Probably for good.

It was what they deserved, after everything they put her through. After everything they put Alu through. She knew there were still many people out there who loved her, and she appreciated their support, but she no longer basked in their adulation, especially now that she knew that on-field adulation was accompanied, in many cases, by disgusting hatred and prejudice off it. This was her life; she owed them nothing. Now I’m getting away from them, and I guess they’ve won. Whatever.

Still, it was a great shock when she handed in that transfer request. Those around her tried to dissuade her from leaving. Well, those around her who still cared for her. But she would not be moved. She had made her decision, now she was going to stick to it. Besides, it was the best for everyone. After all that had happened, she needed a clean break. Maybe they needed one too. And it’s not like she would never go back here entirely. She would still play for the national team, but that’s pretty much it. When it came to her place of residence, she’d rather live somewhere else.

But this honestly pretentious program was not Emma’s idea. In fact, it was Rebekah who first pitched it to her. Originally she was one of those trying to convince her to stay, but when that was unsuccessful Bek had the idea of “Well, if you’re leaving, you better go all out”. Emma’s manager liked the idea, and in the end Emma herself went on board, despite her personal misgivings. I never needed you anyway. You better know that, ‘cause I’m gonna rub it in your faces. In your screens.

One aspect of the entire hullabaloo had caught her by surprise; she received offers from no fewer than sixteen clubs. When she asked for a transfer she hoped one or two or three clubs would come forward for her. Any club, any country, she couldn’t care less as long as she could get out of the country. Her manager was slightly more optimistic; she was an IAC and top-flight winner, Di Bradini Cup runner-up, and qualified for the World Cup (as the national team’s vice captain no less). Surely about five or six clubs would at least a bit interested in her. They got more than that. Sixteen clubs from Quebec and Shingoryeo, Chromatika, Cassadaigua, Sanford, Efnakia, Astograth, Nephara, and StrayaRoos. I hope I haven’t forgotten a country or two. Who knew people were that interested in her?

In fact it was part of the reason Emma eventually went with Bek’s TV show idea. It just seemed the logical, and dramatic, conclusion to this entire circus. She still hated all the drama, but anything that could help her get the message across that she had no need, and no love left, for the country and the people who claimed to adore her.

It was pretty smart, if rather morally questionable, for her manager to have the whole thing broadcast from the Adab City Children’s Medical Center. Pretty smart because Emma had always had a soft spot for children and knowing how much her presence there would mean to them might have softened her resistance to the whole TV show idea. Rather morally questionable because – as some were quick to point out – dragging out the patients to this public spectacle might not be the most noble idea and opened her up to accusations that she was using them to soften her public image. Nevertheless, if the little ones now populating the background of the screen were aggrieved at the idea of taking a break from their treatment or playing time for the sake of Emma Arthur’s transfer saga, they did not show it. Quite the opposite, actually, as many of them were smiling and waving for the cameras. Maybe they already knew all proceeds from this broadcast would go towards expanding the cancer ward and emergency department, a cause everyone could get behind.

In fact, perhaps the most miserable person in the room was the person at the center of the saga. At the center of the screen, on a stool on a raised square platform she sat, a few feet across from and facing Mishari Talal of ABC Sport (ABC being the Adabian Broadcasting Corporation). A venerable, white-haired presence with glasses dropped somewhat towards the nose bridge, he spoke in a calm, almost toneless, yet firm and sympathetic voice, making sure his interviewee was at ease. Emma tried to maintain a relaxed posture, leaning forward towards Talal as she listened intently to his questions, hands clasped together between her thighs. They had been doing this for some thirty minutes, much of it spent reflecting on her life and career with club and country, her reasons for leaving, what she wanted for herself and her career going forward, and whether she would come back to Adab one day. (“Come back as a visitor. Of course, I still have friends here,” Emma answered. “Come back to a club here? I don’t know. For now, no, but in the future, who knows?”)

“What was the main deciding factor in your choice?” Talal inquired. “What made you choose the club that you chose?”

“Well,” Emma began, “I think the main factor, the main reason in making my choice was I wanted someplace where I could perform to my best and help my team and win, hopefully for many years into the future. I want someplace where I would be judged purely as a footballer and not for my personal life. But most of all I just want to have the best opportunity to win for myself and my teammates now and in the future.”

“Have you informed the clubs about your decision?” the grand old man continued.

“Yes,” Emma nodded. “They have been informed… some time before this show. When I made my decision, I told my manager to communicate it to the clubs and that’s what he did. If you think this show is how they’re gonna find out, no, I would never do that. That goes against common courtesy.”

The old man nodded and smiled back in implicit approval. Behind them the smiling and waving children were reduced to an almost solemn silence; they knew a big moment was coming. “Are you still a nailbiter? I remember the last time we talked you mentioned something about being a nailbiter when you were a little kid.”

Her mouth broadened into a sheepish grin. She had to give the man some credit; even in moments like this he still found a way to turn down the tension a bit. “Well, no actually,” she giggled. “I thought I told you that was only when I was a child? I used to bite my nails when I was scared, but I haven’t done so in… a long time. I guess that’s called growing up.”

“As a hopefully grown-up man myself I can testify that growing up… changes a lot of things in ourselves. Although, judging from what I’ve seen it seems you’ve got a lot of people biting their nails lately,” Talal affirmed lightheartedly. “Well,” he sighed and clenched his lips together. “I suppose it’s time.”

Emma instinctively nodded. It’s time. And suddenly she found herself just a little nervous all over again. It’s time.

“So, Emma,” the old man asked solemnly, all eyes and ears in the room – and millions more across the footballing world – glued to the two people sitting on the platform, “what’s your decision?”

She took a deep breath. Just a few words, a few seconds to say it all, now stretched out to a thousand years. Her wan eyes met Talal’s. “In this summer,” she began tentatively, choosing her words and intonation with the care of an ice skater trying to maintain their balance. “In this summer…” she shook her head and trailed off. Took another deep breath. The old man was patient and understanding, careful not to interrupt her in the biggest moment of her career.

“In this summer, man I’m sorry this is very tough…” Come on, I’ve already made my decision. Why is it so hard? “…in this summer I’m gonna take my talents to Chromatika and join Tihon.”

And that was it, she had made her decision public. She tugged at her collar. Quiet in the room.

“That is your decision?”

Emma nodded in confirmation. “That is my decision.”

“Why?”

“Well, uh,” Emma continued, “like I said before I feel that joining Tihon would give me the opportunity to perform my best as a footballer and help the team and win. And not just to win for this season or next season, but for many years to come. It will be a challenge – the Chromatik league is very strong and there are many great teams there – but as you know I’ve always welcomed challenges. I think I can help take Tihon to the top of the league and continue qualifying for international competitions.

“They’ve got a great history, and now you have people like Hecate Charing, who is a great manager, Roanna Murin, a great striker, Christine Yaroslav, Tatiana Ophélie, we’re a pretty young squad that’s just about to hit our prime. And the signings like Leo Hooper, Kafka Robinson, and Li Jianguo. They’re building a young squad full of potential and, you know, you add me, I think we can be a good team.

“And of course, I’m looking forward to the competition there. As I’ve said before there are many great teams there, and also great players in those teams. There’s Stephen Kerr and Trudy Harrison at Chromatika, two of my favorite players. And Wirr Tsi, the league winners, they have people like Bigger Mbala-Ekakia who’s been making waves over there. And I feel like I can compete down there.”

NS Stats are not canon(See factbook for more info). Nation does not represent RL views. IC Name for all other RPs: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. IC Name for NS Sports ONLY: Sannyamathland. Currently undergoing major restructuring. So factbooks and other settings may change.
No longer am a Communist. Definetely not a democratic socialist or liberal. My political views atm are pretty weird and messed up. Deal with it.

Captain: Nicole Potts
Vice-Captain: Michael Jackson
Penalty Taker: Jordan Heurta
Free Kick Taker: Michael Jackson
Corner Takers: The prevailing LB/RB (in the case of a 4-3-3) or LM/RM (in the case of a 3-4-3)

Head Coach: Adnan Suliaha, 61
Assistant Head Coach: Katiri Hedge, 67
General Playing Style: Being a nation which emphasises on fast paced attacking football, Poafmersia would prefer to attack rather then defend. The players can be quite aggressive in getting back the ball, yet they do not keep high amounts of possession and they are very good at making use of mistakes by the opposition team to punish the opponents. Although this team has a weakness in defending set pieces, they are more fond of scoring through set pieces. Another way of scoring is often pressuring opponents through high defensive lines. This team, however, is likely to push forward even more attack, going even further to try to score more goals. The more goals, the better.

Formations: 4-3-3

Note: Please refer to preview before match to know the predicted lineup for the day. If one is not posted, you may utilise the last posted lineup, and make any enforced changes as you like. (due to injuries, suspensions, etc.)

Fans
Poafmersian fans are crazy about football, and their loud cheers ring about in the stadiums they visit. They are very willing to disturb the peace in the area to celebrate their win after matches, so matches are best held in the afternoon or early evenings. You can spot Poafmers booking large meeting rooms in hotels, going to bars in groups. Apart from that, they do pick up after themselves, and prevent causing much trouble apart from celebrating. You can be assured, however, that they would be traveling around to support their team, so do reserve half the spots in stadiums for them because they would pack it to the brim.

Home Stadium
For the entire duration of the group stage, Poafmersia will be playing their home games at the Libira National Stadium. To accommodate a rising interest in football, there was a slight layout change and stand refurbishment being done prior to the qualifiers, and as such, the stadium capacity has been increased to 70 thousand seated pax. The stadium is located in Fiskadaha City, capital of Poafmersia. To travel to the city, direct flights are provided from many major capital cities around the world. Within Poafmersia, however, public transport, such as trains and buses, are the preferred mode of transport, and there are rail lines available between Fiskadaha and many major cities in the country.

Another Year, Another Beginning

Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Tick, tock.

Once again, the hours tick down. Another year, another season of Eshian soccer is about to begin. This year? It's time to start the IAC again. Eshian Airlines Flight 352 is just minutes away from taking off from Eshialand City to go to Trolleborg in the South Pacific. Trolleborg was never a team the Owls had a particularly good history with, but you can't pick your opponents, so this is the way it would have to start.

For this tournament, the Owls were 19th in the standings. Not terrible, but not too amazing either. The rankings would suggest that they'd make it to the Round of 16, get smashed by... wait, who's the second seed again? Bloody hell Charlie, where were those rankings again? ...well then, I guess it's Trolleborg, what luck there, and go home. That's it, that's all... but that's not what the fans wanted. The fans knew this team. The fans knew that they could do better. If the Owls didn't go to the semis this time, there would be riots in the streets. Good thing bullet-proof vests are 50% off at Humongo-Mart and flights out of the country are Buy One, Get One Free with flyfr.esh.

The Owls' group stage would consist of matches against Trolleborg, Tjorl, East Slavona, Belnegau, and Magnecia, these matches being held in Trolleborg and the Squornshelan Remnant States... what the f*ck? IAC matches being held in Atlantian Oceania? Who in their right mind allowed this to happen? ...apart from Trolleborg, all seemed utterly winnable, and they only needed third in the group to advance to the playoffs... but that bye to the Round of 16 that first place offered would be a juicy offer indeed, and to get that, they'd have to blow past Trolleborg. It would all come down to the very first matchday. Just lovely.

Well, let's just hope they don't blow it like they usually do.
Anything I say is IC unless proven otherwise by a court of law.

The Grid Corps boys were just about to finish their watch. Somebody had helpfully brought an hourglass so they were able to accurately keep track of time. After the couple hours had passed, the Grid boys shook hands and grinned for a job well done.

"Well done fellas," Jack Hoy stage whispered to the others. "We managed to avoid getting the whole squad killed."

"That's a win in my book!" Riley Hoyt chuckled back.

"Let's wake up the Drawk Corps girls," Leo Cross tapped his temple. "I think they're due for next watch."

"On it," Jack replied, and he stood up to creep to the other side of camp where Katie Madison and Allison Summer's tent was.

"Hey!" Riley whisper-shouted to Jack. "Don't make a bunch of noise. I don't want to wake anybody else up."

Jack silently turned and gave a thumbs up in response. He crouched to the tent entrance, lifting the canvas cover. He'd planned to tap lightly on the tent door, but when he pulled back the canvas he saw the door was hanging open, unzipped. He frowned, and peered inside.

"Katie? Allison? You all good?" Jack spoke softly into the tent. He looked closer, and didn't see anybody. The tent was empty, sleeping bags neatly placed but unused.

"Oh for fuck's sake," Jack hissed, and he stood up quickly. He looked around the sides of the tent to the edges of the clearing, but he didn't see anybody around outside.

"Something wrong?" Leo asked gruffly, standing up from his position around the barely-glowing fire. Jack took another quick glance around, then urgently walked back to the others.

"They're not in their tent." Jack stood with his hands on his hips. "They're fucking gone."

"Gone?" The other two echoed.

"Yeah. The tent door was unzipped and all of their stuff was inside. Doesn't even look like they'd slept in their bags."

"How is that possible?" Riley squinted, craning to look at the tent. "I was watching the campsite the entire time. There's no way somebody came in or out of their tent."

"That and we didn't hear any zipper noises," Leo added. "Those are really hard to miss."

"Hmm ..." Jack rubbed his chin in thought. "I bet they snuck out. I don't know why they would, but it seems more likely than a kidnapping or something. Plus that would explain the stealthiness. They probably never zipped their tent door in the first place, so it wouldn't make a noise when they left."

"You think this was premeditated?" Riley stood up to face the others at eye level.

"I don't know a damn thing," Jack huffed. "But they gave us the slip on our watch, so it's our responsibility to track them down. Time is of the essence here, we don't know how long they've been gone."

"But we don't even know where they went!" Riley raised his voice a bit, and he was promptly shushed. "Sorry. Seriously though, we could end up on a wild goose chase and end up in a worse spot than them. Surely they weren't just planning to go AWOL?"

"We can't assume they'll get back safely." Leo gestured vaguely towards the area outside of the clearing. "Who knows what's roaming out there? At least if we go looking we might be able to find them before it's too late."

"Fine." Riley crossed his arms. "I'm gonna stay here though. I'm getting too old for shit like this, I'm already having second thoughts on doing the maze thing at all."

"No problem, then." Jack looked to Leo, pointing at him with his thumb. "You and me then? We could just grab our stuff and go."

"Alright." Leo nodded simply.

"What should I do then?" Riley asked, a little uncomfortably.

"Go grab the next watch, I think it was the Kick Corps trio?" Jack turned to look at the tents, scratching the back of his head. "Actually, maybe not. Wake up Jaxon, he's probably the least likely to freak out over this."

"Sounds good. Should we go looking for you guys if you don't come back?" Riley asked. Jack and Leo exchanged glances and shrugged.

"I dunno ... here!" Jack picked up the hourglass. "There's a spare one of these, right? We'll take this with us and let this go for two hours. If we haven't found them yet, we'll turn back around immediately. If we're not back in four hours then you can sound the alarm or whatever."

"Got it." Riley exhaled, then grinned. "So we're gonna go silent count, on three?" The trio chuckled, and brought their arms together in a huddle.

"Remember, four hours." Jack eyed the other two with a smile. "Let's go get 'em. Break!" They broke the huddle, Jack and Leo to their tent to grab better clothes and equipment, and Riley steeling himself to wake Jaxon and break the news to him.

Jack and Leo had left the campsite through the back end, which they assumed Katie and Allison had used. Obviously if they'd exited on a different side of camp then they probably would've noticed them during the watch. Plus, Leo noticed where some of the taller grass at the edge of the clearing had been crushed a little bit. Unfortunately, the trail went kind of dead once the pair got out of the wooded area.

"Where do you think they went?" Jack asked as they stood at the end of the makeshift trail.

"Katie said something about wanting to spend the night in the nearby city instead of making camp." Leo looked in the distance where the outline of the town could be seen.

"I don't think I heard that," Jack shrugged, "but it's a good place to start. Let's head there."

It took about a half hour for the two to make it to the edges of the larger town, especially since they were avoiding using the main road. Unlike the ghost town they'd spent the last night in, this one had reasonably fortified stone walls, and a large wooden gate which was closed.

"Huh. Didn't think we'd have to deal with this." Jack looked up at the wooden gate, seeing if there was a way around or over it.

"Who goes there?" A voice called out from a small tower atop the gatehouse.

"Oh shit, security," Jack hissed under his breath.

"Two travelers looking for a place to spend the night," Leo called out in his deeper timbre, without missing a beat.

"Your business in town?" The guard called back.

"Just passing through!" Jack replied, trying his best to sound imposing but not threatening. They got no response.

Just as Jack was about to ask if they were gonna be let in, the wooden gate creaked, and budged open. Jack turned to Leo and gave a quick nod.

"We'll be fine if we act natural," Leo said with a sense of certainty, even though he had literally zero certainty about this situation.

"Dude, you don't even look natural on a football field, and that's your actual job. Freak of nature." Jack chuckled and Leo huffed in response as they walked into the town.

I understand this is a large number of characters to know, so here's a quick list of each of the party members.

The greatest danger in management is overstaying your welcome. That’s what Alexis Stephanidis was thinking when she handed in her resignation as Omerica manager, leaving after a celebrated decade in charge. The Incorrigibles now officially enter the post-Stephanidis era, with the country’s new manager having dauntingly large shoes to fill. It takes an absolutely fearless candidate to even dare to try…

Manager: Amaya Allen-Stone (age 49; b. Saint Georges, Port-des-Saints)
More practical and disciplined than some of her predecessors, Amaya Allen-Stone is a name that demands respect in the dressing room. Rising through the ranks of Corona Christiana, she successfully turned the laughing stocks of the Quatre-Grands into Omerica’s most dangerous club side to play, having never finished lower than fifth in her reign at the Stephen Reading and unexpectedly guiding the club to three consecutive League of Victors finals, back-to-back OPSL titles and a historic treble. Allen-Stone’s sides rely heavily on pace and a high press, operating on the logic that the opposition can’t realistically score if they don’t have the ball. The question now is if she can translate her tactics from the OPSL to the national team.

Assistant Manager: Lucky Ashworth (age 42; b. Falkenburg, West Calaverde)
A long-time striker for the Incorrigibles in the early URSF era, Lucky Ashworth comes into the assistant manager job after serving as a national team scout in the late Stephanidis years. Despite her proneness to injury as a player, Ashworth was instrumental to Omerica’s back-to-back grand final runs in IAC 6 and IAC 7, winning the latter tournament despite tearing her ACL in the group stage. However, what Ashworth’s unexpected promotion to the assistant position means is only known to Amaya.

Now with a fresh coat of paint!

The URSF risk major embarrassment in their appointment of Amaya Allen-Stone as Omerica manager
By Anastasia Saint-Martin

Omerican football was rocked by the news of Alexis Stephanidis’s sudden resignation as Incorrigibles manager, triggered by her team’s failure to win their World Cup qualifying group and their resultant absence from the World Cup finals for the first time in four years. That in turn triggered a months-long process to find a new Omerica manager, with Stephanidis’s much-awaited successor officially stepping foot in the Parc des Gryphes training ground in the Charlescourt suburbs for the first time.

Despite the expectation that she would reject an offer from the URSF and stay at the Stephen Reading, Amaya Allen-Stone actually accepted the Omerica job when the Federation reached out to her. And her allure was obvious, having won the last two Premier Division titles on the bounce, winning the first treble in OPSL history and leading La Corona to an unbelievable three consecutive League of Victors final and bagging an indie club championship in the process. And Allen-Stone knows how to rally a team and come back from adversity: her La Corona rallied from a major deficit at the halfway mark in their title-defence campaign, overcoming an eleven-point advantage for Républicains over her club.

However, despite all the fanfare and commotion, the move comes with great risk: the more sterling an Omerica manager’s prior curriculum vitae, the poorer they do once given the Omerica job. Omerica’s best managers—Ryan Pritchard, Anne-Sophie Groothuis and Stephanidis—have all come from modest footballing backgrounds. In contrast, Christine Salmond and George Kostas came in with impressive careers and had their reputations cratered by the Omerica job: Salmond was forced out by the Federation during Omerica’s dismal World Cup 80 qualifying campaign, while Kostas failed to reach his heights as a national team player and was effectively turfed out after Omerica’s humiliating IAC X group stage elimination.

This is the position Allen-Stone now finds herself in. Heading Omerica’s most consistent club side of the last half-decade creates the presumption of success, one which she has acknowledged and had to downplay. “There’s a bit of excitement, but I have to be the first to point out that transitions can be rough,” the new manager said at her unveiling in Charlescourt. “We will need patience and understanding from everyone in this time. As I said when I first came to the Stephen Reading, everything worthwhile comes after blood, sweat and tears.”

“Amaya is an expert at football projects,” URSF Chief Executive Catriona Immaculata stated when introducing the new manager. “The incredible Corona Christiana side we’ve seen over the last four years has been a long time in the making. Amaya has done incredible work to turn La Corona into what is doubtlessly Omerica’s most feared footballing force at the moment and her skills are what the Incorrigibles need the most in this moment.”

Both Allen-Stone and the Federation have smartly recognised the greatest threats to the new manager’s reign. As she enters Omerica’s most difficult job, Allen-Stone has to balance those expectations with actual success. If she suffers a fit of growing pains, the bloodlust of the Omerican sport press will be coming for her head in short order. If she gets off to a flying start, then that could simply jeopardise her managership down the line if Omerica run into a rough run of results. Allen-Stone needs to tamp down on overconfidence, while also arresting the stagnation and decline that had started to set in Stephanidis’s last few years as Omerica boss.

Ultimately, Allen-Stone will be thrown straight into the firing line with another World Cup qualification campaign on the horizon and an Independent Associations Championship to fight. The historic record indicates that she will have a troubled time in the Incorrigibles dugout, but if anyone can defy the odds to succeed, it’s AAS. Cross your fingers. ◇
Other Football News:
• OPSL Premier Division: The race to take over Corona Christiana after Amaya Allen-Stone’s departure for the national team is on
• IAC 15: The Stade des Marins’s host bid for the Multiverse IAC falls through after being blocked by the city’s Legislative Council
OPINION: Both or neither — Melayu clubs should be thrown out of FFI club competitions after declaring a purported “IAC opt-out”

Welcome to Jaglan!
OOC: IC, it made more sense to post this RP with SRS, but I request that it be counted toward RP bonus for Belnegau.

Yes, you've read that right. For the first, and quite probably last time, IAC matches will take place in . . . Atlantian Oceania. This is not a registration error. No Big 3 Big 4 (Big 5?) side has accidentally been included. Group B, your visit to the Squornshelan Confederacy will not include a match against the Black-and-Reds (unless you'd like a mid-tournament friendly I suppose). Rather, this choice of venue serves as a commemoration and celebration of the Confederacy's history at the Independent Associations Championship. Before the resolution of the dimensional instability that plagued Squornshelous for decades landed the reunited country in the northeast of Atlantian Oceania, the Confederacy participated in eight editions of the IAC, and the Imperium in one. While never hoisting the trophy, or indeed even making a final, the Black-and-Reds were frequently considered among pre-tourney contenders, despite a definite streak of underachievement that saw them reach their best performance with a third-place finish at IAC 8 in Reçueçn. It is in celebration of these achievements and fond memories that some of Group B's matches will be hosted at Castle Street, Jaglan's largest stadium, and home to Jaglan Royals football club of the Confederate Superleague. The stadium was first constructed in the mid-twentieth century, but underwent a thoroughgoing modernization some 25 years ago, which added the stadium's roof, and gave a badly needed update to spectator seating, restrooms, dressing rooms, and other facilities.

As for the city itself, Jaglan is located in the southern SRS, in the state of Algolia, of which it is the capital. The city boasts just over one million inhabitants, and sits astride the Danu River, which rises in the low hills on the border with Megabrantis before flowing south, and empties into the sea at the port of Vassilian. The city is a major tourist draw for its weather, sightseeing, and museums, and is well provided with hotels, restaurants, and other amenities for visitors. Particular highlights for tourists include the old medieval city walls, the 19th century Grand Market, and the Royal Art Museum. Seafood and rice are the staples of much of Algolian cuisine; creamy rice with octopus and mussels is a particular specialty. There are, however, also plenty of land-based dishes available for those whose tastes range further inland. Seating at restaurants, traditionally, is communal, with multiple parties sharing long tables. Flights directly into Jaglan from beyond the Confederacy are comparatively rare, and most visitors will connect through either Brantisvogan or Damogran, before continuing to Jaglan. The city is alsolinked to the Confederacy's robust road and rail networks, for those guests who prefer to remain on terra firma in their travel arrangements.

And so, to old friends (or foes), to new faces, a truly heartfelt welcome! We hope your visit to our nation will be the start of all new IAC memories which will last for generations to come.

The Starting Players for Space Team
GK: The Keeper of the Milky Way
D: The Defender of Orion's Belt
D: The Defender of Outpost Beta
D: The Defender of Mars
D: The Defender of Alpha Centauri

M: The Protector of Polaris
M: The Guardian of Ursa Minor
M: The Transporter of Pluto
M: The Big Bang of Boötes

F: The Explosion of the Pinwheel Galaxy
F: Saturnia

The Space Team compete usually in the Independant Cup and is happy to return. After the cup terminates we are happy to welcome back our friends for a match of enjoyment IN SPACE! The Academy of Space is home to a fully enclosed, gravity containing event facility known as the "Extraterrestrial Dome of Sport". The dome is constructed of clear plasticized glass allowing a clear view of the stars and planets above. The dome rotates with respect to its surroundings during matches for enhanced viewing, though any nearby stars (Stars within 2 or fewer Astronomical Units) will remain on the backside of the playing field to prevent glaring and temperature control. The Dome of Sport also serves as the official training facility for Team Space Team in preparation for international competition and away games.

The dome will rotate with respect to its surroundings during matches for enhanced viewing, though any nearby stars (Stars within 2 or fewer Astonomical Units) will remain on the backside of the playing field to prevent glaring and temperature control.

The dome currently has 35,000 permanent seats, with a further 43,000 temporary seating available. The dome is expandable up to over 200,000 seats but there are no plans of this type at the time.

It will be an interesting challenge for the players from opposing nations as the Academy is non terrestrial (Of course, a playing field and gravity are provided, but are isolated to the dome of play itself. The upper dome is clear allowing a view of the solar system). While the team representing Space will surely be the underdog during away matches, it is quietly hoped that they will be able to gain more of a home field advantage than other teams might usually have due to this subtle location difference, and end the season with a respectable recon.

OCTAPOLIS

About Octapolis: Octapolis is a megacity that is contained in a spaceship that orbits the known universe. This megacity is split into eight distinct sections, Districts 1-8, which have their own inhabitants, cultures, and functions. Octapolis is ruled over by the Council of Eight, of which one is the OmegaCaptain. Currently, the OmegaCaptain, K'sh'ar Hynn, a Brinoghan, has decided that a scout craft will be allowed to take some of the best youth footballers of Octapolis (straight out of the Academy League) to the U-21 tournament.

The Species of Octapolis:
Brinoghan: Akin to earth's turtles that stand on their hind two feet, Brinoghans have a tough shell that protect most of their body. In Ocatapois, most of the Brinoghans inhabit District 1, where they are responsible for the star drive and machinery that keep the megacity spaceship running. They are quick-thinking, industrious, and work well together with the other species. In sports, Brinoghans are used best in situations where they can collaborate with others to set up plays. In football, they usually play in the midfield or on the wings, ready to create at all times.

Fashtel: A thin, spindly humanoid race, Fashtel are recognizable by their almost transparent skin and bald features. Monogendered, Fashtel are created at the very place where the previous one died, which has led to a culture that treats death as a celebration. Fashtel find themselves mostly in District 2, where they task themselves being the industrial center of Octapolis, making the various household goods and appliances that are needed for the city to run. In sports, Fashtel are best used in situations where physicality is not needed. In football, Fashtel are a rare sight, but can make appearances as strikers who just happen to be at the right spot.

Kan Goren: A quadrupedal race that average about five feet six inches in height, Kan Goren are recognizable by the twin horns that protrude from their forehead and the glorious mane that flow down their backs. Kan Goren are a race that love to be in community. Living in District 3, Kan Goren are, by nature, strong and hardworking farmers that grow all the food that the megacity needs in order to survive. In sports, Kan Goren are used in situations where power is needed more than speed. In football, Kan Goren make great defenders.

Ysrbi: Yserbi are a hive of insectoid creatures that resemble that of a praying mantis with four wings on the back. Yserbi work well together, being able to communicate with each other telepathically. This makes them absolutely great soldiers, making District 4 the military district of Octapolis. Yserbi make up more than 80% of the Octapolis military, making great foot soldiers, space marines, and the like. Yserbi are used very often in sports due to their telepathic nature, often times being pairs on football teams.

Basalt-Ani: A robotic species that gained sapience during the journeys of Octapolis, Basalt-Ani make up more than 61% of the population of Octapolis, and inhabit Districts 5-8, where they are responsible for everything else. They can vary in size and configuration, there being more than twenty different models. Basalt-Ani are in almost any sports team, and football is no exception.

Gaban'Hasana: Gaban'Hasana take care of the spiritual needs of Octapolis. A priesthood of spiritual beings - other species would call them "ghosts", Gaban'Hasana have been with Octapolis since it was launched from the home galaxy eons ago, and remain there still. The words of the Gaban'Hasana are revered, and their direction has never been questioned. There are nine Gaban'Hasana, and each of them have their own distinct form. As they are the Priesthood, they don't play sports.

Multiverse of Madness

Indussean National Team, is back to play their next season of Independents Cup and what's the most important thing is that the team is ranked number one in the rankings! This historic edition of the tournament would again see the Flocking Blues flying away with the championship. Without Baskar H Kumar who recently retired, the Flocking Blues is again here to create history. The Pot One team was drawn into Group H consisting of Juvencus, Montana Verde, Picksail Islands, Garifunya and Kyzhurkistan. Let's have a look at those nations which were selected to be the main obstacles this edition by the Fans.

Image Juvencus
Known to be as one of the best teams from Sonnel, the powerhouse of the group. They're one of the teams of the group who has the chance to qualify in terms of the experience they've got. They've got a good track record being one of the early teams to reach the playoffs in this tournament. They've also won the Cup of Harmony once, which is said to be their best perfomance in its history. The Indussean National Team had met the team in the world cup twice, which was long ago. In the Eightieth edition of the Nationstates World Cup, Indusse faced Juvencus twice and lost twice for a score of (3-5) and (2-1).

Image Montana Verde
Montana Verde, is one of the nation's which got knocked out of the Independents Cup as part of Indusse's run to the finals. They are known to be a well playing team with players who have a chemistry between themselves. It's one of those few teams that have both female and male teams playing together in their squad. Montana Verde is also home to the Estadio Metropolitano Máximo Encarnación, which is one of the few hosting stadiums of this edition. Montana Verde, is the other team that gets to play their matches in the home ground. The Estadio Metropolitano Máximo Encarnación has a capacity of Fourty one thousand spectators at maximum.
