Rinzi knew he had a big day ahead of him. It was race day, the Tropicorp 500. He was laying in bed, half awake and still half asleep, his mind wandering in the borderland between thinking and dreaming.

All of a sudden a voice boomed out of the heavens. "BRING THE MAYHEM!" it said. At first, Rinzi thought it was the voice of God urging him to do his best at the race. He was stunned and excited. He often spoke to God through prayer, and he thought they had a good relationship, but he never expect God to speak to him so directly. The Islamic God was usually more subtle and mysterious. His work was everywhere and His word was written in the Quran, but usually you had to dig a little to find His meaning. He didn't just barge into people's bedrooms and announce Himself.

For a moment, Rinzi just sat there in awe, marveling at what he had just experienced.

Then Tashi rolled over on the bed beside him and asked groggily, "What was that?" -- and just like that, the moment was over. If Tashi had heard the voice too then it must have come from some Earthly source.

Rinzi's shoulders slumped a little as the disappointment set in and he realized he had not heard the voice of God -- but a little bit of the exalted feeling still lingered. Even if it was not God who spoke, the incident had still reminded Rinzi of God's presence.

Now that he was more fully awake, Rinzi realized it was time for his morning prayer...

"You're in the middle, three wide.... still there.... keep digging.... WHOA! Watch out, man, we got a wreck up ahead!"

For Sage Caldwell, it didn't matter that the Vilaye Clash was not a points-paying event. He was starving so much for even just one victory in the international level that he still raced as hard as he could, making daring moves that other drivers would have reserved for more important races. He was squeezing through a gap between Jeremiah Brooke and Clarissa Samantha on a short track, and by all means would have succeeded in getting past them, if they didn't all fail to navigate past the thick smoke caused by Taylor Henderson's stalled car up ahead.

Crash. Boom. Bang. Sage's car plowed into Hendo's, only to get nailed by Jeremiah's. The entire field of seventeen (three already retiring earlier) retreated to the pits, but only twelve would have too little damage to not get back on the track. This unfortunately didn't include Hendo, Clarissa, her teammate Gwen Oxton, Jeremiah.... and Sage himself.

"Talk about bad luck. How f-cking ironic," he said as he got out of his damaged car that had been painted with clover leaves for a Blood Moon Beer promo. "Just one win, points or not, is it too much to ask?" he continued muttering as he trekked back to the Direwolf garage, helmet in hand. "It's not like the world's gonna end or something, is it? Just. One. Damn. Win. Argh!" He poured out all his anger on a discarded Vilaye can on the ground, stomping on it repeatedly until it became completely flattened.

Just then Sage heard heavy footsteps behind him. He turned his dreadlocked head to see Clarissa, who was apparently also making her way to her garage after being part of the wreck. Normally a driver would be in a miserable state after having their day end early, or at least calm and collected if it's someone like Jeremiah. Not skipping around and smiling like the big blue mechanical being was doing right now.

"That's the look of someone for which winning doesn't matter, only having fun does," Sage started thinking to himself. "Excuse me, miss? This is not a sack race at a six-year-old's birthday party, this is the highest level of stock car racing in the world. And if winning doesn't matter, why still record points, or at least give trophies and prize money?" Clarissa started to speak, interrupting those thoughts. "Hey there, Sage!" she would say with a cheerful tone, "Good race today nonetheless, you did pretty well out there! I'm so sorry about what happened though. Are you all right?"

"Oh, no, you don't. Sorry I don't live in a utopia where everyone's a winner and can just shrug off things like dying or in this case wrecking out, so if you could just leave me be and find someone else to send your sugary sweet vibes to, that would be great," Sage so desperately wanted to say, if he wasn't scared of being yoten across the garage areas by a blue robot. Instead he interrupted Clarissa with something shorter and decidedly more polite, and went on his way before she had any time to react, such that the exchange actually went like this:

"Hey there, Sage! Good race to-"

"Please. Not now."

WELCOME TO TJUN-ia!
BIENVENUE À LNUd'J-ie!
¡BIENVENIDO A LNUJ-ia!
歡迎來到君雅!
ДОБРО ПОЖАЛОВАТЬ В ООНЯ-стан!
!AAL-ia مرحبًا بكم في
BONVENON AL UNJ-io!
WILLKOMMEN ZU DVNvJ-ia!
VELKOMIN TIL JSTh-landi!
KARIBU KWENYE JUM-ardhi!

The Government of the International Community of TJUN-ia, along with the TJUN-ia Motor Racing Organisation, is proud to welcome all race fans to the 4th edition of the TJUN 600 and the 3rd edition of the NGADM 500.

After the success of the last three weekends from the Jungle Circuit in Peninsula and with the North-South Party adding to the fun earlier this season, we hope that you all enjoy this crazy event once more and we look forward to welcoming back the NSSCRA and wider community back to our little corner of The North Pacific once again!.

ABOUT TJUN-ia
TJUN-ia is a nation that was created by The Jaguar's United Nations, an organisation that pioneers "international roleplay" (think the UN but if the United States uses Fang the Sniper as its UN Ambassador), to be the official "testing grounds". The state acts as a place where TJUN Reps can learn the skills required to represent their chosen state, region or territory in TJUN over in what we call Universe 2.

To the average TJUN-ian, here in Universe 3, that fact doesn't affect their day-to-day lives. TJUN-ia is one of the most progressive states in The North Pacific, with decriminalisation of all drugs and the free distribution of alcohol joined this year by a new decree that enshrines the equality of every TJUN-ian in the land, no matter who they are. You can expect every race fan, no matter their country of origin, to be treated the same way.

The state recognises 6 Official Languages for official use in government and in day-to-day use: English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian and Arabic. We also have an official 2nd Language in the form of Esperanto, used as a bridge language by the state in order to help travel and synchronicity between all corners of the state. If there is a sign in TJUN-ia it will be in 2 languages: the language of choice and Esperanto. This helps ensure you won't get lost if you start seeing signs in a language you don't understand. All tourists entering TJUN-ia will receive a copy of the government's official guide to Esperanto ("Esperanto: How To Learn The New Second Language/Esperanto: Kiel Lerni La Nova Dua Lingvo") upon arrival at TJUN JagBase International Airport or any other airport in the nation. If you want to see TV options in the official languages, please see the TV Guide provided by the government.

This time around, for the very first time, signage around Peninsula will also display three non-official languages alongside the 7 already in use day-to-day around TJUN-ia. These languages are the native languages of Jaguar Racings' drivers and staff, with German for Michael Stefan, Icelandic for Harpa Gylfisdóttir and Swahili for Alice Jepkosgei. Not only will these extra language options allow for locals from their towns to come to Peninsula in their native tongue, but it also should give all visitors to Peninsula an insight into our people and the languages they speak across this International Community.

ABOUT PENINSULA AND THE JUNGLE CIRCUIT
Image

Peninsula is one of the 4 Incorporated Citys of JagBase TJUN-ia (along with Portside, Riverside and TJUN-ia City itself) and is known for being more ecological compared to the rest of the JagBase. While the other cities have built stadia for TJUN-ia's sports teams and organisations, Peninsula has (mostly) been left to its own devices. The only other major landmark in the city other than the circuit is the Aintree Country Club and Water Park, used for the first Jungle Fever Afterparty three years ago. This season, the party heads to the city's Southside as Big 10 Pins, a bowling alley, hosts the event for all NSSCRA personnel only. Peninsula is only a 30-minute drive from JBIA or a 15-minute train journey from the JBIA train station if you use the JB Line.

The Jungle Circuit was built 2-years with the aim of providing a state-of-the-art racing facility for both domestic and international competition. You start with a small dash along the Start/Finish straight before breaking for the 90-degree left-hander known as Country. You then enter the banked section of the track at Village, a smooth right-hand turn that marks the beginning of the main Grandstand. You zoom along Valentine's Way (not a reference to Valentine Z, but it might as well be) before entering the Canal Curve, which should provide some familiarity to drivers common with stock-car ovals. The Railway Straight afterwards is long, providing a good opportunity for drafting. The Grandstand and the banked section ends at the final corner known as Club. It is just as tight as the Fanzone Corner from Tropicoast, so your braking and entry are crucial for getting a good run towards the line.

The Grandstands are expected to be packed this weekend to see the "Super 6+1" of TJUN-ian motorsports competing for a shot of instant glory at home, with Chase implications on the line in a big way. If confirmed by the NSSCRA itself, then the winner of the NGADM 500 will start from last in the TJUN 600, so that will add an extra element of fun to a weekend that is quickly becoming one of the highlights of the season in recent times.

As standard, NGADM (the first sponsor of a sporting event in TJUN-ia) will be providing rainbow and, for the first time, non-binary armbands to all fans who attend this weekend's action. Blue and Yellow armbands will also be available to buy, and all proceeds going towards events in U1. Posters will also be seen around Peninsula and the Jungle Circuit promoting TJUN-ia's message that certainly needs to be heard

Kai Qiang and Jean Lannes cussed each other out all the time, but this time was different. Usually both men understood it was all in good fun, and they were just teasing each other -- but this time Qiang seemed genuinely upset. Since Qiang's French was still lousy, it took the longest time for Lannes to understand what he was upset about. Qiang was upset because Lannes had said he should punch Lam Chow-Cheung in the face.

Qiang did not think you could just go around casually punching people in the face.

"Sure you can!" Lannes said. "It's not like he'd have the guts to hit you back!"

That made the situation worse, and the conversation ended with Qiang storming off in a huff. That was disappointing. Lannes still wanted to ask him about "Waterloo." He wanted to know why Qiang had recommended him to watch an English propaganda film, and now he couldn't ask because Qiang had stormed off and did not want to talk to him.

Lannes took a walk on the beach to clear his head. He needed it after everything he had been through recently. Luckily for anyone who had a sensitive nose, he also went for a swim and washed away last week's sweat.

It bothered him that Qiang had stormed off. They had not known each other that long, and the language barrier still came between them, but nonetheless Lannes considered Qiang a friend and he didn't understand why the little Sherpalander had taken such offense. He replayed the conversation in his head, and it still didn't make sense. He felt like he was spinning his mental gears, but his train of thought was stuck in the mud and it was not going anywhere.

A wave rolled up on him while he was lost in thought. It caught him off-guard and crashed over his head, filling his mouth and nose with a salty sea taste. He spent the next several minutes wiping his wet hair out of his face and repeatedly spitting, trying to get all the salt out of his mouth. He slogged toward the shore, swearing and still spitting.

On the track that weekend, things didn't go any better. Lannes struggled with the transition between pavement and sand on his way to an uninspiring 34th place finish.

NSSCRA 12 :: Tropicorp Pit Crew Competition

Postby Tropicorp » Fri Apr 08, 2022 3:35 am

Image Image
Cars will line up in Turn 4 and await their turn before passing the S/F line and entering the Tropicorp Visitor Center Special Competition Pit Road

Rules:
Teams are required to change both left-and right-side tires and empty a full load of fuel into the car using up to 2 cans. The timer begins when the nose of the vehicle breaks the plane of the pit box and ends when the rear tires have exited the pit box. All violations, unless otherwise noted, will incur a penalty of 2 seconds added to the time of the pit stop.

Penalties:
1. Crew members over the wall prior to vehicle passing the designated marker

2. Car running over jack

3. Car running over or under air hose or air wrench

4. Each Tire rolling uncontrolled outside of painted pit box

5. Any lug nut not secured by at least 80 foot pounds of torque

6. Any cross-threaded lug nut

7. Air gun handed or tossed between crew members

8. Pushing a car that is under power

9. Any tire not returned to inside half of pit box prior to vehicle departure

10. Jackman swinging the jack in an uncontrolled manner in transit or handing to another crew member

11. Equipment attached to the car when exiting the pits

12. Dropping any fueling equipment during the pitstop

13. More than 1 litre of fuel remaining in fuel cans (combined)

14. Crew member performing a job they were not registered to conduct (5 seconds per)

Drivers will take the track in the inverse order of the current NSSCRA Owners Point Standings. There will be two pit boxes in use during the competition allowing one team to set up their pit box while a different team is conducting their pit stop. The pit entry cone is adjusted accordingly for each competitor depending on which of the two pit boxes are in use for that round. After exiting the pit box and re-entering the main straightaway of the Tropicoast Beach Course, drivers must bring the vehicle to a complete stop in the Inspection Area where NSSCRA and Tropicorp officials will inspect the vehicle to ensure there are no infractions such as Loose or Cross-Threaded Lugnuts. There will also be an inspector in the Pit area to weigh fuel cans and monitor for other infractions. Some teams may opt to use back up cars for the Pit Crew competition opposed to their Tropicorp 500 primary cars which will be busy getting prepared for Happy Hour practice. Drivers who are not using Tropicorp Sifaka tires for the Tropicorp 500 race weekend are permitted to bring their own tires for the competition. Teams will also be permitted to use the Tropicorp Sifaka tires on hand in the special competition pit area at the Tropicorp Visitor Center instead of bringing over a set of their race tires from the Garage area opposite the main straightaway in the track's infield.

While the morning was a cause for great celebration in the team Tropicorp camp, as their flagship entry the #1 Tropicorp #1 in Tires Hybrid Dart pit crew team pulled off the fastest stop in the history of the Tropicorp Pit Crew Competition, race day was a very different story. With four Team Tropicorp drivers in the race plus the sponsored #41 entry for Yraaga Gilli'i, there was great optimism that Team Tropicorp would have a big day on the track. In the end, however, it was only Gilli'i who could even muster a Top 10 finish for Vilita and Turori Motorsports while Team Tropicorp drivers struggled to keep pace each finishing in 20th or worse. There was a certain uniqueness to the performance of Cocoabo #28 who finished in the 28th position for the first time this season after hovering in and around the 28th spot in each of their previous starts. With the NSSCRA Circuit heading to the Jungle Circuit in TJUN-ia for Race #13 on the schedule it is expected that the winner of the NGADM 500 could gain an open charter into the TJUN 600. Team Tropicorp have prepared an entry for Cocoabo #28 in TJUN-ia in the event that the second open charter slot remains available as they look to continue to tweak their equipment and strategy in search of putting their drivers back inside the Top 10 of the finishing order and stopping the slide that has seen all three Team Tropicorp drivers fall out of the Top 16 in the Regular Season standings.

NSSCRA 12 :: Suzgar Victory : Tropicorp 500

Weeks of Winners throughout Vilita and Turori

Tropicorp 500, Tropicoast Beach Course, Tropicoast, Tropicorp :: The Tropicoast Beach Course had always been a strong track for River 'Shark' Suzgar II, the former NSSCRA Champion who won the inaugural race on the 4.1 mile mixed-surface track back in NSSCRA Season 7. After posting a Top 5 in the race one season ago there was plenty of optimism in the Suzgar camp that this could finally be the week the #14 found its way back to victory lane. After leading Vilita and Turori Motorsports with three race victories during NSSCRA Season 10, Suzgar remained winless through the opening 11 rounds of NSSCRA Season 12 with a best finish of 3rd in the Race of Oceania at the Adelaide Park Circuit earlier in the season. Despite having posted just the lone Top 5 and only three Top 10 finishes in the first 11 races, Suzgar had no finishes worst than 20th which was aiding their case of making it into the NSSCRA Playoffs by virtue of points even if they were unable to break into victory lane during the Regular Season. By the end of the grueling Tropicorp 500 race, however, it would no longer be a question.

After starting deep in the field following a poor qualifying run in the Vilaye Energy Drink Pole Award session, River 'Shark' Suzgar II and the #14 Vilaye Energy Drink Hybrid Dart team took advantage of a slew of early yellow flags to work their way up into the Top 10. A total of nine cars failed to finish the race and Suzgar's team took advantage of each of their misfortunes to use fast pit stops and overtaking on restarts to climb to the top of the scoring pilon. The 'Shark' had taking the lead by the halfway point in the race and would run in the Top 3 for the remainder of the afternoon, eventually re-taking the lead from Kai Qiang with 15 laps to go and taking control to lead out through the remaining distance of the event to take their first checkered flag of the season and second ever checkered flag at the Tropicoast Beach Course.

The victory would also seem to reset Suzgar's all time Race Winning pattern. After three consecutive victories on a Short Track, Suzgar won the season ending Tundra Falls 500 on the Newmanistan Superspeedway - much like their first career victory, and has now won on a Unique Superspeedway much like their second and third career victories were accomplished. It also marks the first time in their career through 13 career NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series victories that Suzgar has won twice on the same track.

Suzgar's Victory came on the heels of a big week for well known Vilita and Turori Motorsports drivers. Suzgar's teammate Yraaga Gilli'i won the Toys '4' All 500 for the third time in their career and first time since NSSCRA Season 8 after out racing Gale Force driver Jeremiah Brooke at the finish. With back-to-back NSSCRA Victories for Gilli'i and Suzgar it also marked the first time in team history that its drivers have won back-to-back races. There have been a number of great team streaks and performances in team history - even just looking back at Season 11 alone. During Round 6 of Season 11 at the Oxyrhynchus-Ring, River 'Shark' Suzgar II earned Pole Position and swept the weekend by winning from the pole. Between Round 12-14 Vilita and Turori Motorsports found themselves on Pole Position or in Victory Lane - but never both in the same week nor the same honor in two consecutive weeks with a Pole in Filindostan, a victory through Suzgar in the Toys '4' All 500 and a pole for Gilli'i for the TJUN 600. A few weeks later Centur Tiones would earn two consecutive pole positions, first at the Pencurve 500 then the following week at the Vilaye Energy Drink 314. Finally, in the last race of the season, it was Gilli'i on Pole and Suzgar winning the race to complete a Vilita and Turori Motorsports Sweep. The record for Vilita and Turori Motorsports for most weeks with a #1 position in Qualifying or the race came during NSSCRA Season 10 when the team secure one-or-the-other from Race #2 through Race #6. Still, never were two consecutive of those #1 Placements a Race Win. It was a Pole at the Lannisburg Complex, a win for Suzgar at the Cocoa-bo Speedway in Cassadaigua, a Pole for Tiones at the Kermania Fortress Run followed by a win for Gilli'i at the Starlight Speedway. Finally Suzgar was on the pole at the Toys '4' All 500 where Yraaga Gilli'i finished second to Clarissa Alanis Star Samantha - narrowly missing out on consecutive victories for the team.

Another bonus to Suzgar's victory in the Tropicorp 500 will be the participation in the Five Star Combo program which was recently announced to be moving to a new venue for its third event of the season. The Super SkyChief 500 in Hapilopper City will replace the Pencurve Electronics 500 on the Five Star Combo schedule as the big race coinciding with the Hapilopper Expo rises in prominence and the Five Star Combo having been frequently overshadowed by the Regular Season points race and qualification battle for the NSSCRA Playoffs taking place at the Pencurve. In addition to Suzgar, Vilita and Turori Motorsports rookie driver #4 Islago Tizilna will also be eligible for the Five Star Five bonus after recording their first ever Multiversal Cup Series Top 5 finish.

Suzgar and Gilli'i weren't the only Vilita and Turori Motorsports winners over the past week, however, as one came from a very unlikely place. AOCAR competitor Jama'obo Pegasii found the time in their full-time schedule on the Atlantian Oceania Regional circuit to pop over to the Squornshelan Remnant States and compete in the AOlympic Winter Festival. Pegasii would represent Vilita and Turori in the Snowmobile Racing competition, qualifying to the final round where they would compete against athletes from the host nation, Banija and the Busoga Islands, Gyatso-kai and Milchama. It was the Milchaman racer Mila Halanit who got the whole shot and took the early lead on the first lap while Pegasii was locked in a battle with the local favorite Jeppe Kukkonen. Pegasii broke free of Kukkonen on the second lap and chased down Halanit setting up a battle for the win on the final lap around the course at the Wilson Memorial Stadium. The Home of Han Dold City Football Club rose to their feet as Pegasii made the move around the inside of the wide curve, gently shoving Halanit out of the way as the Milchaman racer slid up the course. As Halamit came back down the track in front of the field it caused a slow up which resulted in Kukkonen looping around as the field went by, ending the Squornshelan's hopes. Halanit would cross the line second while 19 year old Atsak’lo Adeen of Gyatso-kai took the Bronze as the remaining three racers lumbered around the course to complete their runs following the last-lap incident. It was the 8th gold medal of the AOlympic Games Winter Festival thus far for Vilita and Turori, leading all nations, though host Nation Squornshelan Remnant States remains top in the overall medal count with 17.

Tropicorp 500 Weekend had certainly been an interesting time thus far...and today would be no different. Today would be a day where all of NSSCRA's quirks would come out in full force. Let's go through it all, eh?
- We were awake long before 7 am but that didn't mean the burning words of FEEL THE MAYHEM didn't almost make most of us crap ourselves. I mean...congrats on the boy Chris Holmes, I'm sure that Zachary Rinzi Holmes will be wonderful, but that certainly wasn't the best way to announce it...by making sure even the Cocoabo at the Forest could hear. I don't know if it was exactly Holmes' idea to do it that way, but it was his announcement so...into MemeWatch II you go.
- The first on-track action was actually the Tropicorp Pit Crew Competition and all 3 of our crews managed to make it through their runs with no penalties. Maddison Riley-Jones (@MaddyRJ03) was the best ranked with a 19.94 in 5th, with Alfonso Mercado (@AM64) in 12th with a 20.20 and Michael Stefan (@Stefan07) down in 16th with a 20.60 - so good job to our it crews for doing us proud! Maddie Alexander beat out Stacie Houston and Thea Alvarez to take the crown, with the pit crew of the #1 Team Tropicorp managing an unbeatable 19.23 for the Dagan.
- Then came the 500 itself, which ended up with 9 (yes, NINE) retirements - with Clarissa Alanis Star Samantha being one of them. No one from ours or HM DNFed, but it was still a race of Chaos.
- Maddy was the best JR in the PCC and she was also the best JR in the race itself, converting 6th on the grid to 8th in this race. Now she's even managed to become the lead JR in the points by a single point - some good momentum ahead of the Big One.
- Micheal, meanwhile, started way down in 28th but managed a good recovery drive to end up 16th at the flag. He still finds himself outside the Top 16 in a very tough battle to make the cut for the Chase...but we all know what happened the last time we were in Peninsula, so don't count anything out when it comes to #07
-Mercado started 18th and finished 25th, behind Aurélia Karvonen once more after he and the Finnish Goat became linked in this race. He's now lost the JR lead in the standings to MRK, but that won't matter to him - he will be coming home for the first time as a Chaser and he knows Peninsula will be all on their feet for #64.
- It makes sense that another local would win and this time, it was the Shark of River Suzgar who finally got that win over Tsering Chu and Wilma von Cärinthen. 4 spots remain and now, it is Chu who leads the points standings over Stacemiah.
- LAM CHOW-CHUENG! HOW DID YOU DO THAT?! LCC started from 42nd and to be honest, I wasn't expecting much...BUT 12TH?! 30 POSITIONS GAINED?! WHAT?! They struggled on the sand on Saturday...but today they glided across it like it was actually ice. I'm so happy that they managed this performance today...a sign that, despite everything, Lam Chow-Cheung was still the potential star I still felt he could become.

Next week...well, you know what next week is. TJUN Speed Week is back - NGADM 500, TJUN 600, Jungle Fever 4, the lot of it. You just know that whatever happens, things are going to be absolutely fun...

But before I sign off, I have one more story to tell...about a piece of literature called 'Princess', written by a NSSCRA driver (according to themselves) under the pen name of 'Ren Mazenoda'. As the description says, "Someone in the NSSCRA paddock has fallen in love with one of the women there. He knows how he feels about her, but he’s not sure about how she feels about him so he has written down his feelings and put them in a place where it could be seen without judgment." Who is Ren? Who is this Princess? That is a subject I will let the readers decide, as I will not go about speculating on a matter such as this. The only thing I will say is that the name 'Ren Mazenoda' sounds Asian (specifically from the Land of the Rising Sun), but that might be a red herring for all I know. The reason why I've decided to end with this story is that, as we head to TJUN-ia, I think it is key to remember a smile quote:

Love works in mysterious ways.
愛は不思議な方法で機能します。
Ástin virkar á dularfullan hátt.

The following is a transcript of a Special Meeting between JR's Team Manager, Social Media Manager and all 6 JR Drivers. What was discussed shall be kept secret until it is deemed necessary by all those involved.
HG: Thank you all for coming on short notice. I will get to the business soon enough but first, how is everyone? I'm doing alright, but what about you all? Derrick, you will go first.
DC: Well, I've been hooked up on dopamine as we look towards Speed Week while also trying to figure out in my own time who Ren Mazenoda is.
MS: I...well, I feel like I'm OK but I feel a bit of pressure to try and make that cut line...but hopefully, Peninsula will give me a kick up the butt I need.
AM: I feel great, not gonna lie! Being a Chaser is something I am still getting used to in the long run, but I can't wait to get to Peninsula and see the crowds!
MRJ: It feels weird to be on top in T1 right now out of us, you know? I feel better than ever though and I hope that I can perform well back in the JagBase.
RD: Yeah, I feel good. I'm not as consistent as I'd like to be but I still feel confident I can make the Chase at least.
AJ: Yeah, we at JRT2 may not be getting as many wins but we are consistent. I feel good about the Chase, especially with GaoGao winning a race.
GG: Thanks for that reminder, Bǎnlì. Yeah finally getting that win was certainly a weight off the shoulders so hopefully, that spells good fortune for the playoffs.
HG: Good good. It's great to see...now then...onto business...Derrick...do you want to start...
DC: Um...are you sure?
HG: Yeah...yeah...go ahead...you can do-
GG: Hey, Àiqíng niǎo! Get a room already!
*silence*
HG/DC: WAIT WHAT?!
AM: *laughter* Oh guys...you...are so gullible...*laughter intensifies*
HG: What...I...don't understand?
MRJ: We know...about you two. We all know.
HG/DC: WHAT?!
*more laughter*
DC: But...But...I...How?!
MS: Guys, guys, guys...you weren't exactly...hiding it. What with Carlisle saying "Harpa" instead of "Boss";
AM: And the amount of time you spend chatting to each other in the paddock;
MRJ: And the focus you, Boss, put into Derrick's work;
RD: And the looks you give each other when you think that no one is looking;
AJ: And the expeditions you do together in the host city;
GG: And don't get us started on the "Digital Media Relations Meeting" - I mean, COME ON, you might as well have written in bold "Lovebirds Occupied, Do Not Disturb" all over that calendar spot.
HG: But...But...
MS: Basically, what we're trying to say is that...if you were trying to hide this, you weren't doing a good job!
*silence...the looks of horror were priceless*
AM: But that doesn't mean we're against this...right guys?
RD: Of course not...you two are so cute together! Why would we split that up?
MRJ: And besides, all six of us are already shipped to hell and back...so why can't you too.
MS: Yeah, that would be double standards. And that ain't cool.
DC: Well...thank you...I guess.
GG: None taken, Àiqíng niǎo.
HG: Well...uh...I was expecting to try and explain ourselves, but...this is fine...isn't it, Derrick?
DC: Yeah...I guess it is...

HAPILOPPIAN GOVERNMENT CONDUCTING INVESTIGATION INTO ‘BRING THE MAYHEM’ INCIDENT AT TROPICOAST BEACH
By Jenny Rodgers and Doug Goodman, the Hapilopper Television Network

HAPILOPPER CITY – The Hapiloppian Government has formally launched an inquiry into what it calls “possible misuse of military equipment” on Tropicoast Beach last weekend.

According to witnesses, a cargo plane belonging to the Hapiloppian Air Force was flown over Tropicoast Beach early Sunday morning around 7 a.m. local time. The cargo doors were opened, revealing huge speakers, which blasted an apparent commercial over the beach, before releasing blue smoke over the beach.

Witnesses state that the speakers blasted the message “Bring the Mayhem” before flying off. Mayhem is a brand of hygiene products based in Saint Kanye, that sponsors popular Sherpalander driver Rinzi Zakhilwal.

Witnesses also state that the plane was deployed for the purpose of a gender reveal party for Chris Holmes, an NSSCRA driver, held on the beach on the morning of the race. Holmes declined to speak to HTN for this story, but posted on twii.tur that it was not his idea.

“We are disturbed by the news coming out of Tropicoast Beach, to say the least,” said Mark Harris, Tru-Con backbencher from East Hampton. “We have spent billions on our military equipment, and it has a specific purpose for why we have it. We have those cargo planes to transport personnel and equipment into possible hostile environments. They are not intended, nor should they ever be intended, to be props in a gender reveal party, no matter who it’s for.”

Harris said that the federal government needs to figure out how a cargo plane was used for a gender reveal party, why, and whoever responsible must be held accountable.

“We must know exactly what they did, how the speakers were put in the plane, and how the blue smoke was used,” Harris said. “And we need to know how and why superiors signed off on it.”

In an unrelated note, Harris and his wife, Daniela, are expecting their first child in December.

This marks another scandal for the William Mathis administration – its third in about a month, and in a very inopportune time for it. Several weeks ago, it was revealed that Mathis personally pressured the Hapilopper Football Association into trying to force his son Parker into staying in Hapilopper, albeit unsuccessfully, as Parker indicated he is excited to play in Banija.

Last month, several Liberal members of parliament were caught misusing armored government vehicles when they entered them in a “Night of Destruction” demolition derby event at the HNE Half-Mile. The vehicles, valued at $120,000 each, were demolished in the demolition derby event.

一个伟大的日子 (A Great Day/Mahtava Päivä)

Postby Kimi-Suomi » Fri Apr 08, 2022 5:52 pm

42nd...to 12th. Forty-Second. To Twelfth. To say that Lam Chow-Cheung had a great day out there on Tropicoast would certainly be an understatement, the TJUN-ian in Kimi-Suomi's HM lineup pulling off the drive of their life one week before TJUN Speed Week or all weeks. Today was certainly a great one for the masked driver and here's an insight into how it all went down:

HM: All systems good, Lam?
LCC: Yeah...feels like it.
HM: OK...I know 42nd doesn't sound too fun, but this track has been known for chaos before. The tarmac to sand contrast and the waves nearby are both certainly factors here, so try not to get wet or slip up on traction and you should be alright. Karvonen will start 17th, so try and get as close as you can to her, alright?
LCC: Yeah, understood.
HM: Alright...also, just to let you know...we all love you for who you are, OK? We know you're gonna love the new livery we've got for you and we know that no matter what happens now, you are a good driver. Please try to remember that, OK?
LCC: Yeah, of course...Kiitoksia.
HM: Ole hyvä, Lam.

Race Summary
Lam Chow-Cheung (#38 - KIM/TJU)
S1: 6th (1:48.037 avg.)
S2: 15th (1:48.885 avg.)
S3: 11th (1:48.282 avg.)
S4: 31st (1:50.276 avg.)
S5: 13th (1:48.332 avg.)
FINAL: 12th (1:48.762 final lap)

HM: Chequered Flag, Chequered Flag! What a drive, Lam! WHAT A DRIVE! P12, P12!
LCC: Wow! Wow wow wow wow...wow! Wow!
HM: Same here dude, same here. 30 places gained - not bad at all, mate! You are a star, Lam - and today proved that!
LCC: I...don't know what to say...That felt good, you know? Really good...Kiitos kaverit! 谢谢你们!
HM: No worries, Lam! You are the star in the making!

Reporter: Lam Chow-Cheung, P12 out there today - yours and HMs best T1 result by far. Now I can't see underneath that mask, but you must certainly be happy with that?
LCC: Yeah...You bet I am! Hahaha! I feel...great! Happy! Ecstatic! All of those words of similar vain, you know? I haven't felt...this good in a long while and...I definitely needed this one. To some, it's only 12th, but to me...it's me being a driver that can perform...and that's all I ever wanted.
R: You've certainly been through a lot these past few weeks, especially involving the Brisbane stuff...how important was it, with that backdrop, to get this result today?
LCC: Well...well...the past few weeks...have been...both good and bad, you know. Sometimes, I felt that...I was alone...in my suffering and it was...hard at first to go out there and...perform. But I've also seen the love...and the support that everyone has given me ever since that day and my...statement and...that really help, you know? It really did...and look where it got me.
R: Up next is the TJUN 600 in Peninsula. You enter that one in a strange position, as a TJUN-ian in a Kimi-Suomen team. Does that change the mindset a little when it comes to something like this?
LCC: Well...us at HM felt that while Kimi-Suomi was obviously the main event of our season, North-South and Speed Week were my other home races. Now, North-South wasn't exactly the best time as I DNFed into the wall at high speed...but I've gotten a lot more experience in the car and in this series now so hopefully, I can survive the Chaos of the Jungle and make it to my first Jungle Fever in 1 piece so that I can bowl and race the night away.
R: One more thing...has your Finnish improved at all?
LCC: Wow...you actually remembered. OK...Se...paranee, mutta...vaatii vielä...parannusta. Yeah, I think that's OK.
R: Not too bad. Thanks, Lam.
LCC: Thank you! And to those at home...Thank you too!

Kai Qiang wandered over to the #46 hauler to see how Thea was doing. He didn't buy the line about sand in her eye when she teared up after the Toys '4' All 500, and he thought she had seemed out of sorts the last few months.

Thea seemed to tense up when she saw him approaching -- though Qiang had no idea why. They had known each other for years and she had never been shy about teasing him. "What do you want?" Thea demanded, scowling at him.

"I wanted to ask if everything is okay. It seems like you haven't been yourself lately..."

Thea was still standoffish. She dodged Qiang's questions and asked if she could ruffle his hair to make her feel better. He grabbed her wrist to keep her hand away from his hair.

"Thea, I didn't come here to get my hair messed up," Qiang said. "I have my helmet for that. You can ruffle my hair, but you have to promise if something is really wrong, you will say something. Promise if you need help, you will ask."

"Okay, I promise," said Thea. "Now let me ruffle your hair!"

Qiang let go of her wrist and she ruffled his hair until he looked like he'd been headbanging all afternoon. He still didn't understand why Thea and Rinzi were so fascinated with his hair.

Laura Mackenzie's first season in the Multiversal Cup was passing through like a dizzying whirlwind, almost as dizzying as the short track at Longgeylin in Vilita. God damn, that track almost made her puke. Must be what it's like to have crippling vertigo. Anyway, it was a whirlwind, and Laura was not holding up well in it. A season best of 32nd was not what she had in mind, and a string of races in the bottom 10 was really not what she had in mind. The travel wasn't great either, particularly that one stretch from Qzvarkian Qaz to Jouoangquoi, or however the hell you spell them. Too much food poisoning, not enough democracy. At least Oontaz had decent food.

She did have some good moments. That 32nd in Wollongmatta Bay was actually quite fun, and merely surviving a race which consigned fourteen drivers to a DNF was reward enough. Who cares if she technically finished last? She scored fifteen points! She also remembers the French drivers, or at least two of them, had improved their hygiene enough that Laura didn't have to bring her Kitaran gas mask to all the drivers' briefings. Only if Jean Lannes followed suit, that would be one less thing that was insufferable about him. That stench needs a lot of Mayhem, or that Oontaznik banquet, to mask.

The last few races have been a mixed bag, both for Laura and the NSSCRA in general. Still overcoming the effects of Chieujeau disease, she turned up in Sword Island and put the car on the back row before finishing in a safe 39th. That weekend, however, was overshadowed by Kai Qiang ripping off Lam Chow Cheung's mask before qualifying. Bloody Maoists. Leaving behind that mess, Vilita's Lonngeylin Ring was up next, and was determined to replicate the effects of Jouoangquoi's cuisine. Just 540m in length, the paved tumble dryer was a horrific experience during practice, and some anti-emetic medication was required for Laura to put the car 37th on the grid, between two home drivers River Suzgar and Lotara Novorali. Some more meds later, and Laura crossed the finish line of the Toys '4' All 500 in the same position as she started, while seeing Suzgar rocket up 30 spots to 6th and fellow home driver Yraaga Gilli'i roll into Victory Lane.

Then came the Tropicorp 500, held in something resembling a country, yet apparently ruled by a corporation, and on a "superspeedway" that is actually two straights, one on a narrow main road, the other on a beach, connected by three corners. Qualifying 39th, the Sunday was a turbulent affair in which saw her run massively wide out of Turn 2 and end up in a tankslapper that carried her out onto the unprepared beach, rolling the car over as it dug into the soft sand before collapsing back onto its wheels. It wasn't a violent roll by any means, occurring at less than 160km/h, but it still ended her race after less than 20 laps, a premature and sorely disappointing end to a promising day. Suzgar's eventual victory was overshadowed by an early morning flyover by a Hapilopper military aircraft showering itself in blue smoke, apparently as a gender reveal for a disgruntled Chris Holmes. Holmes would drop 12 positions in the race to finish 22nd. Laura is really glad she isn't Chris Holmes.

Now Laura returns to Tjunia, more specifically the city of Peninsula to race for the title of Jungle King. And that title will be hard earned, as the race is 600 miles at a track with an average speed of about 140 miles per hour, and thus will be a four and a half hour affair. Depending on how hot it is, there's a good chance someone is going to piss themselves in their car. Lets hope for their sake the piss stain is hidden by their sweat stains.

“Oh, this is good,” Guillermo Archer muttered to himself as he scrolled down the webpage with his tablet. “This is good,” he repeated as he chuckled at what he read.

“What kind of evil devilishness have you got cooking up inside that head of yours once again?” Wilma von Cärinthen, freshly changed from her firesuit drenched in sweat and champagne, asked as she noticed her friend and former on-track rival laughing to himself. She knew that bad things were usually around the corner when Archer was laughing to himself.

“Wilma! Just the woman I was looking for!” Gil exclaimed, seemingly confirming Wilma’s suspicions that Archer had something up his sleeve. “You will not believe this new story that I just found on Archive 4 The Fans!” Archive 4 The Fans was a website where people could post both fanfictions and real fictional works that was popular in Abanhfleft but was still lagging behind the likes of Drawkfiction.sonnel in most other places.

“Oh, hell no,” Wilma muttered. “Don’t tell me Tsunopin has finally discovered that place as well! Please tell me he hasn’t started writing stories about you or me!”

“Don’t worry, Wilhelmina, he hasn’t touched any of us yet,” Gil shook his head. “But there’s another guy that’s making the waves. Goes by the name Ren Mazenoda. Apparently, he’s our version of Tsunopin except he’s a lot more G and PG with his works. But Mazenoda is actually the guy who wrote an entire novel about the two of us, can you believe it?”

“You’re kidding me, right?” Wilma asked. “Please tell me that you’re kidding.”

“Sorry, girl, this time I’m not pulling your leg at all,” Gil said as he handed his tablet to Wilma. “Take a look at the description and the tags.”

“Oh, god,” Wilma muttered as she was sure that she was not going to like this at all.

But after Abanhfleft decided to put them together for the country’s entry into international stock car racing, the two of them will have to work together to bring racing glory to a nation starved of success in almost any form of sports. And we all know that what follows from cooperation is friendship, and maybe even something more…

“You’re kidding me, right?” Wilma asked. “This isn’t true. This can’t be true. You made it all up!”

“Man, I wish I did,” Gil shook his head. “I wish I had half the writing talent that this Mazenoda guy has. I mean, come on. The numbers don’t lie. And the series about the two of us isn’t even his most popular work as well! Here’s his most popular one. It’s not actually about us or any of our fellow NSSCRA drivers… well, that last part is a lie. It’s inspired by two of our fellow drivers. Just… read the thing.”
Wilma scrolled down the webpage to find the story that Gil was talking about.

“Oh, wow,” Wilma muttered. “You weren’t kidding. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any works on A4TF go beyond 5,000 views before. And this trigger warning for racism… I assume it’s because of the incident between you and Gao in Hap City?”

“Depicted there in all of its gory glory,” Gil muttered. “Although I will warn you beforehand that the event itself has been embellished in that story to something that is way worse than anything I’ve ever done on the track or off it. But that’s stories for you, I guess. You tell it enough times and eventually you’ll find that everything in the story has changed. Oh well. What can you do?”

“And… that’s all?” Wilma said as she continued to scroll down and found nothing. “He’s got no other stories except for those two. Is this all that you wanted to show me?”

“Actually, no,” Gil shook his head. “It’s actually his latest story that I wanted to show you. Look up.”

Wilma went the other way this time, scrolling up the page to find Mazenoda’s latest work. She read the description, then the story itself, and then at Gil’s invitation she looked at the comments. She was surprised and amazed to see who the people thought the woman in Mazenoda’s dream was. Their choices ranged from the likes of Maddie Alexander, Lexi Patterson, Jenna Logan, Thea Alvarez, and Aurelia Karvonen to the more unlikely ones like Wilma herself, Gasha Kosaryova, Jixaka Motorai, Tsering Chu, and Stacie Houston. But Wilma was shocked to see how so many people thought that the “princess” was her. “Why me?” she asked Gil. “Is it because I’m still technically a countess even though the Ixanian nobility have been driven into exile?”

“I don’t know,” Gil shrugged. “I’m not Mazenoda. How many times do I have to tell you that?”

“I know, man,” Wilma sighed again. “It just… it feels so weird to know that there’s someone out there who thinks they’re attracted to… well, I don’t know if it’s actually me that this Mazenoda guy is talking about but you know what I mean. I wonder if this is how Qiang feels now that Tsunopin’s racing with him.”

“Oh, I wouldn’t worry about Qiang if I were you,” Gil said. “He’s a tough cookie, that guy is. Nothing bothers him, not even a guy who tried to get him to play the mind game. I doubt a loud and flamboyant fanboy like Tsunopin is even going to get Qiang’s eye by now.”

“God, it still really hurts you that he didn’t rise up and take your bait, huh?” Wilma asked. She walked over to where Gil was seated and said loudly, “Hey, Qiang! How does it feel like to live rent-free in Archer’s head?”

“Geez, woman! Are you trying to give me tinnitus or what?” Archer moaned as he rubbed the ear closest to where Wilma had shouted.

“Oh, don’t act like you haven’t given James tinnitus when you were complaining on the radio to him as well,” Wilma retorted.

“What, and Dec hasn’t suffered the same with you too?”

“Damn, you really got me with that one,” Wilma muttered. She then went silent for a moment before she opened her mouth to speak again. “So, what are your plans for Jungle Fever? You gonna go bowling too?”

“I don’t know, actually,” Gil admitted. “I’ve got the bowling shirt ironed and ready for next week, and I’ve been hitting the lanes again to get the muscle memory going again, but all that work is going to be for naught if I don’t got a team to work with.”

“You? Bowling? Really?” Wilma asked disbelievingly. “You really expect me to believe that you’ve gone bowling in your spare time?”

“Why is that so hard to believe?” Gil asked back, arms raised. “I’ll have you know that I was a decent bowler back in college! I recently just had a game where I hit two chickens back to back!”

“Two chickens back to back? What?” Wilma asked as she struggled to understand what Gil had just said. And then it dawned on her. “Turkeys! You mean two turkeys! Three strikes in a row is called a turkey, you idiot!" she exclaimed. "Are you telling me that you managed to hit six strikes in a row?"

"Of course I know it's called a turkey!" Gil shot back immediately. "I was just testing you! But on a more serious note, if the Jags are serious about going bowling, I need to form a team. I already got Leo and Rustam to join, and I need one more guy. Or gal."

It took a moment for Gil's words to sink in for Wilma. "Wait, what? Really?" she asked. "You want me to join your bowling team?"

"If you want to join in, of course," Gil replied. "I'm not trying to force you into joining the team if you don't want to, but I gotta say that I'm running out of options here."

"Oh, no. Oh, hell no!" Wilma said. "I can't join your team! I can't bowl to save my own miserable life! Remember that video of that girl throwing a bowling ball straight into the ceiling? That's almost exactly how I bowl! And if I'm not hitting the ceiling, I'm always getting a gutterball! Gil, if you're really serious about forming a competitive bowling team for Jungle Fever then ask anyone else but me! I know my limits! And I know that I'm just gonna be holding all of you back!"

"Okay! You don't want to go bowling with me, with us. I get it," Gil nodded. "The Countess is too high and majestic to play with the commoners!"

"Don't you start with that Countess nonsense again!" Wilma retorted. "Besides, it's not that I'm embarrassed to be seen with you. It's more like I don't want to embarrass your team and all of Abanhfleft in front of the TJUNs. At least even more so than usual. So the answer to your question is no, I am not going to join your bowling team."

"I was kinda hoping you wouldn't say that," Gil muttered.

"So why bother asking me anyway?" Wilma asked.

"You know, on the off chance that you might actually say yes," Gil shrugged. "Good thing I have a plan B, but I need your help for this."

"What? Why? Why are you dragging me into this mess of yours again?"

"I'm crossing the divide, Wilma," Gil said. "I'm gonna ask Koshiro-san if he wants to go bowling. And you're coming with me because you're going to tell him why I had to come to him to ask for help with my bowling team."

'Ren...Mazenoda,' Ilya Tsunopin reread the name of Ren Mazenoda on the Archive 4 The Fans, as he and his secretary/friend/solicitor Dr. Balthazar Grey chuckled at the description of the works by this mysterious person. 'He definitely sounds like an interesting guy, if anything.'

'Yes indeed, sir.' answered Dr. Grey, as he struggled to control the laughter. The old man, who was now in his fifties, still had a bit of his fire from the fifties when the Sonnelian brute, with his carefully-combed moustache, quickly rose to the corporate world of Sonnel, where he based himself on his native 69X, but have since moved onto expanding his holdings in Drawkland, Juvencus and Saritova. But he also did occasional dealings in the real-life world, and the existence of Formula 1 drivers Tsunoda Yuki and Nikita Mazepin was not the one he could ignore. 'He's a good writer too, at least from the surface of it. What do you think about this work?' he asked, pointing to the description of 'Princess'.

'It's good, though I wonder who is the very Princess he is describing,' Ilya said, the colour of his eyes changing from green to red. There was a potential worry in his eyes that this said driver, whose audience was certainly differently-inclined than Ilya's by their ratings. A G or PG work....something better for her. 'Of course, this Ren writes well and his would be lot more palatable to general audience, but should I be worried that she will find this....Mazenoda's works...more palatable? That when the day comes I be shit outta luck?'

'To be fair you respond to the clear demand that's out there, and you love writing it. If anything, Pitcher Meets Driver is of no exception in terms of stylistics in that if a Sherpa, not you, had written it, it would have still featured heavy BDSM with Mr. Akunjee as dom,' Dr. Grey cleared his throat, trying his best to give a balanced judgment over the matters he didn't always have the best nuance over it anymore. Twenty years ago? Sure. Now? Hard to say, now that he's a longtime parent of two kids now in their twenties. Ilya wasn't a normal nineteen/twenty-year old child after all. 'When you are out there, you don't behave like the A-graded guy BeardedPoleDancer is. I've known Ilya Vadimovich for almost entire his life and Ilya Vadimovich I know of knows how to compartmentalise himself.'

'So you are saying that this doesn't really matter in the long run?' Ilya asked. 'Because I have to admit the very lines of Mazenoda's works have put a chill.'

'Of course not. Do you really think that Jeremiah Brooke would write that?' responded Dr. Grey. 'No. And considering how Mr. Brooke and Ms. Houston are like, that practically means that there is no competitor. Unless you are to worry about the very man you adore...'

Qiang? was the very first thought that popped into his mind. 'Carry on, please, doc.' Ilya said, a spark coming out of his mind. 'What are you saying?'

'I may have speculated something so just ignore as you wish, sir. Bu there's one good news, and I'm really sure about it. And it's that Ren Mazenoda's not Kai Qiang, that's what I know for sure,' Dr. Grey then took a pause, trying his best to process the recent discovery that Kai Qiang, the subject of Ilya's universal adoration, used to hold feelings for Thea Alvarez, the person on the apple of Ilya's eyes. 'That said, I would ask you to not put these distracting thoughts inside your head and keep reading,' He continued. 'Crossing the Divide and My Chinese Love are good works too.'

'Alright, alright, will do,' Ilya nodded, still trying his best to get away from the seed of disturbing thought that was planted into his head. There's something that he knows, that he can't tell me right now. Ilya thought to himself, as they continued to read the work. It's not good. He knew that he was going to eventually forget it, but right now, he wasn't feeling most comfortable about the possibility of his idol and his love involved in an emotionally-charged situation.

Lord save me. was all that he said to himself.

To: Mme. Mendok Sherpa

Dear Mme. Mendok,

Hello, Mme. Mendok. My name is Ilya Tsunopin of Gale Force Racing and PlayToy. I hope this email finds you well.

My apologies for not being able to send any correspondence or a present package to you and Mr. Qiang Kai, your husband who I absolutely adore, in recent weeks. My work back in Saint Kanye and Sixty-nineE X have been swarming at me in every direction and that has affected my ability to send any package, even to those dearest to my heart.

That said, I have managed to pick up a pull-up poster of Mr. Qiang when I had to visit my old mansion in Kardashia, and would like to offer you the poster as my gift for you, Ms. Chu, and your husband's service to the beautiful game that is stock racing. It is a work that I have commissioned last year while in middle of my short tenure with the WGP2 circuit, and I am happy to offer it to you and your loved ones as an unconditional gift meant for the good to this world.

Many thanks in advance. As always, I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Sincerely,
Ilya Vadimovich Tsunopin (I.V.Ts)
<Ilya Tsunopin> I LOVE YOU KAI QIANG

Note: This scene would take place at the hospital or medical tent, not Massena's garage, but Val Z said it would still happen even if Holly had to go somewhere other than the garage.

Garden at 6th Mile Road wrote:She was not going to play doctor, anyway, as she slowly walked over to him with one thing in mind. She leaned around in the air, trying her best not to freak out anyone who thinks that she may be able to sit on the air through sheer magic. There was her magical show in Valentine Z, yes, but there were still a lot out there who still do not know who she is, and she was intent on keeping it that way. She inhaled a little, her hands behind her back, as she then leaned forward and talked to Massena, "Hi there, Monsieur! Sorry to hear about the crash today! I hope you are all right, that's all! I mean, you usually check up on me now and then regularly, so I figured that I would return the favor to you, you know? The wounds do look pretty bad if I am honest, but hey, you will heal very quickly!"

When nobody was visiting, Massena was his usual grouchy self. He didn't understand what an IV was or why he was hooked up to it, and he gave the nurses a hard time about it.

When Holly arrived, he forgot about the IV. "Oh, bonjour Mademoiselle Holly, so nice to see you!" Massena did his best to appear cheerful and friendly, but he was inwardly frustrated that Holly had finally come to him instead of him going to her, except he was so banged up and discombobulated, he could not think how to turn the situation to his advantage. He was hurt, but worse than that, he felt dazed and disoriented.

"Does it really look that bad?"

He thought maybe if he kept Holly talking for a bit he could find a way to steer the question toward geopolitical matters. And if he couldn't, well, at least he seemed to be making some progress gaining Holly's trust. They talked for a few minutes, and Holly tried to lift Massena's spirits with assurances that he would heal right up, but he did not find any good way to steer the conversation toward politics.

Jeremiah Brooke was never the sort of guy to occupy his time reading fan fiction, NSSCRA-related or otherwise. He was, as one would say, a complete stranger to that world, that is until several members of the driver group chat started mentioning and discussing a story called "Princess" by an author called "Ren Mazenoda".

With his curiosity and refusal to be left out of the loop getting the better of him, Jeremiah asked his fellow racers for a link to said story. Upon closer examination, it was written from the perspective of a guy, observing the girl of his interest from afar (the titular "Princess") and writing about his feelings for her and wondering if one day she would notice and reciprocate them. Just your standard cheesy romantic work, right? No, Mr. Mazenoda made it known that the story is set within the world of the Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association, and this "Princess" and her secret admirer were most probably based on (or are actually) the same people he spends week after week driving advertisements around in circles with.

Much speculation was had regarding who exactly the characters of "Princess" referred to, with such guesses as Chris Gordon, Ezekiel Rodger or Ricky Lee for the guy, and Maddie Alexander, Laura McKenzie or Jeremiah's own teammate Thea Alvarez for the girl. Others also thought that it was an existing couple like himself and Stacie Houston, or Drake Stevenson and Taylor Henderson, or that the guy was Ilya Tsunopin and the girl a genderbent Kai Qiang, done so in order to add another layer of mystery to the character's real identity.

Jeremiah made a search for the name Ren Mazenoda to see what else he could find about the author. This led him into a deeper rabbit hole of more NSSCRA stories on a Fleftic fan fiction site, making him think that "Princess" could be about Rustam Ilyich Yudin and Wilma von Cärinthen, or the Everlong pair of Ganglie Zhe and Agata Kosaryova. Or maybe Mazenoda himself is that new guy Koshiro Kawai, or at least someone working for him? Like, they're both Ajian names.... but then again, that could be a red herring of a clue. Eventually Jeremiah gave up and decided to focus on the upcoming race instead, remembering why he was never the sort of guy to occupy his time reading fan fiction, NSSCRA-related or otherwise.

"Don't say that.... you're breaking my heart.... this isn't your fault.... I don't want you taking the blame...."

For the past few weeks, Thea had felt that her poor performances on the track affected not just herself, but the rest of the field as well, pointing out the chain of events that led to poor Lam Chow-Cheung getting unmasked by Kai Qiang. But as Lam said when Thea visited them at the #38 hauler right after qualifying for the Tropicorp 500, they themselves weren't having any of this, stating that it was purely a decision of theirs to want to be there at the Gale Force garage at the time of the incident. They said they didn't want Thea feeling down, especially given how great they believe... nay, know she is.

"Me, great? I mean, I try to be.... I mean.... I remind myself of the words you wrote, and those on JR's blog. They give me confidence, make me feel that I really am. So if I finish, like, mid-pack or something, that would make me feel like I've disappointed and let everyone down, and I don't want that, you know? Maybe I'm feeling too much pressure, and one thing led to another, and that's how we got here."

"Don't sweat it. I believe in you." Thea and Lam got closer for a friendly hug. "Smile! You're way cuter that way." said the masked one, making the redhead blush and giggle a little. "See? That's better." Just then Lam heard their crew chief calling for them. "Alright then Thea, I've got some stuff to do, catch you another time. Good luck tomorrow, then."

"Yeah, you too."

Back at the #46 hauler, Thea was just about to talk to her own crew chief regarding the setup for tomorrow when Qiang himself stopped by (they were neighbors once again, since Ilya Tsunopin wasn't part of the entry list for the 500). "Ugh, what's he doing here?" Thea thought. The unmasking happened two weeks ago, but she's still iffy on talking with the unmasker. She would have done what she didn't get to do in Brisbane and tell Qiang to buzz off, if not for a voice inside her that told her to hear him out. "What do you want?" Thea finally said, making it extra clear by the tone of her voice that she didn't want the cooldown period between the two of them to end just yet.

Qiang backed off a little, but still spoke clearly. "I wanted to ask if everything is okay. It seems like you haven't been yourself lately..."

Like Jeremiah, Thea never hated Qiang, only his actions. Her other interactions with the guy have been good, and she couldn't forget the time he agreed to spend a little of his evening to talk with her after she had a nightmare of them wrecking. However, she can't just let him off the hook that quickly, so after much hesitation on her part, she agreed to spill her frustrations out to him, but not before she could give his hair a good ruffle. However, Qiang grabbed Thea's wrist before anything could happen, then said to her, "Thea, I didn't come here to get my hair messed up. have my helmet for that. You can ruffle my hair, but you have to promise if something is really wrong, you will say something. Promise if you need help, you will ask."

Thea indeed needed help at the time, and something really is wrong. Even removing the Lam incident out of the picture, there was her worrying too much about doing well in the races. And again, she never hated Qiang, so she weighed things in her head, and after a couple of minutes of thinking, she finally said, "Okay, I promise, now let me ruffle your hair!"

The Sherpalander sighed before allowing the Yeezie's seafoam-tipped fingers to ravage his crowning glory until he looked like he'd been in a Space Ogres* concert all night. Once Thea was fully satisfied, she told him the same stuff she shared with Lam earlier - blaming herself for the incident, and feeling the pressure of the high expectations of her as an NSSCRA star. As the two continued talking, Thea's crew watched them from a distance.

"Aww...." spotter Naomi Hoff told crew chief Kaley Curtis. "Think they've made up?"

"What? Qiang wears makeup?!"

Of course, only a few. even amongst the field, knew about that one day in Esmerel that the eighth season champ had spent in drag.

(*A Vannish heavy metal band, of which Jeremiah Brooke is a big fan. Thea hates this band, not only because she's more of a listener of pop, but because Jeremiah would sometimes blast their songs as a wake up call whenever their plane lands in a different country.)

Gale Force Racing Racing Simulator, Peninsula, JagBase TJUN-ia, TJUN-ia

It was a particularly weird qualifying day for the Gale Force Racing. To be clear, this didn't mean a particularly awful day for the team either - Stacie Houston finished 5th and Thea Alvarez placed 17th, but the oddities came in the form of Ilya's unexpectedly good qualifying results at 19th place and Jeremiah having a slightly harder time at 25th place. While the qualifying data had meant little in this crazy world of racing that's known as NSSCRA, the oddities behind the results still meant something for the Gale Force Racing quartet.

In any case, Ilya Tsunopin felt much better about himself this time. Not only was that qualifying result a massive improvement from an unfortunate incident that struck him and the Valentian driver he had collided with few weeks ago, Ilya simply had a better feeling about himself as whole. Now, back to his usual programming of promoting his own literary ventures and sponsors (as expected from a good PlayToy Kardashia boss he is), he decided to keep calm and be his usual self, by being high on marijuana, full of Chucky's, and of course topless while only wearing a rainbow sweatpants and sunglasses on top.

'Testing...testing....okay it works...can you guys hear me?'

It was working fine. Now Ilya, comfortably positioned lying on his simulator model, without the presence of his fellow drivers yet, had a livestream of his simulation drives on l'Instagramme. Since he did make the promise to his fans, subscribers and followers, as well as members of media, that he's going to do AMA and Q&A session, Ilya had to make himself comfortable and relaxed even more than he was going to be under usual circumstances.

Question from a l'Instagrammer (age 31, female, lives in Kardashia): What you up to right now?

'Well, obviously I'm trying to work my way around the jungle circuit,' Ilya answered back, slowly going around the country corner. 'I know there's an Everlong race or two happening right now, but I'm not here for that. May as well use my time wisely.'

He then moved onto a next question:

Question from a l'Instagrammer (age 25, male, lives in Cavsar, Drawkland): Why was Cavsar selected for the Vampwolf Chronicles? Like mate, do you hate our city or something?'

Oof, was all that was on Ilya's mind as he tried to process it while high. He didn't do a good job cornering that time, so he twitched his eyes twice, before trying his best not to lose the handle of it. Shit. Then he answered: 'Well think of it this way,' he said, his sunglasses becoming hard to see due to how thick the cannabis fumes were getting inside the simulator. 'I love Cavsar, and hate it at the same time. It's...uh...a chronotope, where you can check in and out at anytime, but you never leave. It's a perfect rural city with all the banjos and guitars and country music and shit, and you know I love them too. Like my idol Kai Qiang and boo bears Drake the Babe and Slick Rick. Just keeping it real out there.'

Then he checked the next question:
Question from a Drawkfiction user (age 16, female, lives in 69X City): I know you are a huge fan of Jeremiah and Stacie. How is it like driving with them and how adorable is Jericho?

'Oh my,' he chuckled, as the fumes started to clear and he could see. Amazingly enough, he has yet to crash his car despite driving while high. Virtue of having tried this venue just an hour or two ago, Ilya smiled, before answering at his young fan. 'Well Jericho I've never seen him in person! But Stacie and Jeremiah have shown me their pictures on phone and god, he's adorable!' he shouted, 'He's gonna be a great driver one day.

'As for your first question, they are great peeps. I owe it all on Jeremiah for being able to bring me to the NSSCRA. Thanks for asking.' He then moved onto another question.

Question from an unknown media person (age XX, ???, lives in ???): What are your thoughts on potential competition on this field of fanfiction writing? Of course, you are currently underway with five series and whatnot, and the Vampwolf Chronicles seemed to have drawn a lot of attention out there in public. But there are quite a few good to great writers out there. What is your advice for them as well?

'Well, I ain't no afraid of no competition, chief,' said Ilya, quietly picking up a drumstick of Chuck's while moving the handles with his right hand (Ilya's a lefty). 'But one advice I have for you kids out there, who wanna race and/or write, is simple: Do not be afraid to cause trouble. Many of y'all seem to think that I'm saying this as a person of privilege but really, don't be afraid,' he said, before swallowing the rest of his drumstick. 'I know some of you guys are scared of breaking the boundaries, like censors or police or even lawsuits, but those cannot stop a free mind. Just keep working on shit and you'll one day be like me. I'm proud of you guys.'

The next question hit him particularly personally, however:

Question from a Drawkfiction user (age 28, female, lives somewhere in northern AO): Mr. Tsunopin. I know you have said for some time that you encourage fearlessness in your characters and of course, you have done so well with 100000 love lives of Ricky Lee and of course, Pitcher Meets Driver. But there's one person who you have yet to really portray, and that's Thea Alvarez. She's someone you really respect a lot for her dedication to social causes and whatnot, so no active mention of her on your works..is odd. Is there a reason behind it?

Ope, was what he had in his mind. Not what I had wanted to answer right now, especially while high and driving. It was his time to use his usual excuse when being asked about this. 'Well I think part of the challenge is to stay faithful to drivers you really wanna write about, and to not extremely stretch your focus group,' answered Ilya, before popping a gummy or two. 'Pitcher Meets Driver is a classical love story between well, a pitcher, and a driver. I have to dedicate myself into an anthromorphic phase or two they go through for them, and that alone requires a lot of energy.

'And then, of course, Slick Rick has his own...group, and I left her out way back when I first drew it up three years ago from now, so it was probably high school me. Blame him, don't blame me now. River Suzgar one is more intended as a romantic comedy, something that's more different than usual stuff I write for TATP or PMD. Doesn't mean that I do consider people's characteristics and inspiring selves when writing Vampwolf though-...'

It was then that the Gale Force trio opened the door to the simulator. 'What you doing?' Stacie asked, as he said 'though'. 'ACK!' Ilya shouted and then screamed, before turning off the livestream. 'OH MY!' he shouted, his face turning red as his teammates all died of laughter. 'Come on guys! I was just having a drive.'

'Really, Ilya?' asked Thea, who seemed more than eager to ask Ilya about what was going on inside. 'Tell me about this Vampwolf series of yours...you seemed very excited about it!'

'Well it's a long story, but sure. I can get to that,' Ilya said, all of sudden feeling few million times shyer and dozen trillions of times awkward about it. But it was something that Ilya knew he had to go through, and so he went with it. 'Well it's a dystopian story about these hybrids named Vampwolves in a hick meme city turned dystopia in Cavsar, Drawkland, all the way back in my native region of Sonnel...'
<Ilya Tsunopin> I LOVE YOU KAI QIANG

The Valentians – Race 12 – Multiversal: Tropicorp 500, Tropicoast Beach Course, Tropicorp (Superspeedway); Everlong: Tropicorp Racing Supply 250, Tropicoast Beach Course, Tropicorp (Superspeedway)

Exuberant Superintendent T-2000/2904-3 Surveillant Clarissa Alanis Star Breya « La Amoureux Chéri » Millie Taissa Butterfly Mélody Coraline Jolijn Trini Clementine Hollie Samantha Zeta Harumi took the hint when she met Sage that day after the Clash, when he DNFed out of the race. Before she could even put in more than 6 words, Sage interrupted and dismissed with a more polite tone. "Please. Not now," he simply said. She took the hint, nodding and then making her way back to the Valentians, but not before having the last word for the short encounter. "Hmm, sorry! Still, wishing you best of luck with the next race!" With that, she went off to join the Valentians, and then to go to Tropicorp for the next race. It was perhaps here that Clarissa felt what it could be like to have a series of unfortunate events. Of course, she was never the one to be solemn and to dwell on the results of the races, and unlike the other teams out there, the Valentians were not playing for keeps. It's not always about money for them, and more of the thrill of being in a race, and perhaps the simple idea of socializing and meeting around with people that she found to be gentle and kind souls. Going back to the events at Tropicoast Beach Course, Clarissa knew that she got a dud race coming up for her, what with the qualifications that was a near dead-last of 48th. With one to not lose hope that quickly, she still tried her best to gain the positions as quickly as she could during the race. After all, superspeedways are her speciality, being able to speed up as fast as she could, trajectory and physics projections are all second nature to her. As it was established many times before, Clarissa can calculate, weave in and out of the traffic, check her car to such a detail down to being able to see the structure of each of the four tires and a lot more.

And as it was established many times before, Clarissa is certainly not immune to the random factor at play. In fact, randomness plays a lot in her formulated calculations, ones that could have her deviate her turns from a simple easy left to a 90-degree turn towards the wall. Several factors apply – it could be from her own mistakes, or the crowded nature of the course, or other driver's mistake. For her at the Beach Course, it was the latter. As she made her second segment, Clarissa was already at 15th, perhaps even having the potential to take home the win and getting herself into a success story. However, she soon learned that bad surprises can come even from your own friends. She got one in the form of a Gardener – one Anna Star Joy Thanda Pwint Thinzar Nwe just right behind her. A relative newcoming Valentian to the scene of NSSCRA, but one that she certainly did not mind. In fact, Clarissa made it a point to welcome her and to make her feel right at home with the other Valentians and their respective crew, as well as with the other non-Valentian drivers and folks outside. Anna still has not made a lot of reputation, though she did show a degree of competence where she was able to get from scraping at the bottom of the open charters to placing first amongst them; this race was one of them. However, just like every other driver, including the veterans, Anna made a mistake, perhaps a very large one, when it comes to estimating her speeds. As Clarissa approached the last turn before the starting line, she braked slowly and gently, making sure that the other cars on the sides are not dangerously close to her. As she was hitting the brakes gently, Clarissa felt a large shock and a jolt, followed by a large explosive sound to which she quickly got the information that her right rear tire was blown. This caused her to lose the control, and in that split second of decision-making, she quickly calculated the possible paths that she could take while leaving the causalities to be minimal – she made a sharp turn into the right wall.

Clarissa Alanis Star Samantha (#7): Oh my dear goodness! Someone hit me- [screech, crash!]
Jenny Lena Hoshiko Radiance (#7, C): Ah, shit. Talk to me, Clarrie. Are you all right? New body?
Clarissa Alanis Star Samantha (#7): I'm fine! Hit the wall gently, thankfully. The sand helped!
Jenny Lena Hoshiko Radiance (#7, C): Spotter says it was Anna. She didn't mean it, most likely.
Clarissa Alanis Star Samantha (#7): She spun out behind me as well. I will go to her now, yeah.

For most of the audience and the officials, they could see two drivers spinning out and luckily making their (both the driver and the cars) out of the lane such that they neither caused any congestion nor took out other drivers into DNF as well. Anna and Clarissa's cars were 160 meters away from each other, with Anna having got out of the car first and then running towards Clarissa. Clarissa got out of hers and then did the same, running towards Anna. It was going to be quite a spectacle, people might have thought. Perhaps Clarissa will somehow throw a first punch, or Anna will push Clarissa onto the ground, despite all the nice things said about the Valentians. As the two of them – one robot woman and another that is a Personification of the Happiness of Valentine Z, the two took out their helmets in unison and stared at each other. It would be Anna who got the action first, her face changing fast.

"Oh my dear goodness, I am so sorry, Clarissa!" she said, showing a degree of remorse which even Happiness personified can do. "I was supposed to hit the brakes, but the sand-" She was interrupted by Clarissa, who gently put her hand on Anna's shoulder, then giving a soft smile of her own, "Hey hey, don't worry about it! It's okay, yeah? These things happen, and I know you didn't do it on purpose! Besides, there are other races ahead of us, haha! We will have better luck then." Anna smiled in turn, "Thanks, Clarrie! I appreciate that! Again, I'm very sorry, I hope you are not hurt." Clarissa smiled and pulled Anna in for a short hug, "Hehe, I am built for harder shocks! I hope you are all right as well." The two drivers then turned towards the audience, followed by waving and bowing in unison and then jogging together past the medical tents and back to their garage. "We are done, sorry," they said to their own crew chiefs and the crew members, "If it was just tires, you guys could have just towed us. But, eh, rather not do that when we got damage on the body and maybe the other parts as well. It's a bit risky, yeah? Okie, nice. Thanks!"

Chief Aviator Gwen Tracer Hepburn “Fate of Existence and the Omniverse” Ellen Trixie Caitlin Foxworthy Avril Verlene Eveline Celinda Sammy Doris T-Rev Oxton Arielle Lindall Leslie Vitesse Allison was sitting down in the dropship, looking down and around at the crew that she gathered for the emergency meeting soon after the Fourth NSSCRA Tropicorp Pit Crew Competition. For Valentians, they knew that Gwen was not going to blow a lid that severely. But even they know that a person can have limits, especially when there were one errors after another at that competition, and when a person has been pushed past its breaking point. "Well, then," she started off, having confirmed the head count of the people who were around so as to make sure that everyone knows, "I won't lie – today was a bit of a disaster, if I have to say! Now again, again, I appreciate all of your efforts, and I really do appreciate that we did manage to get a good qualifications and the race before this. 4th qualifications, 6th at the end. Actually not that bad, really. In fact, pretty good! Going back to the Challenge, I know. Believe me, I am as relaxed as I can be here with you guys, and I am not going to fire or banish any of you, haha! No really, I won't. With that said, the performance first. It was amazing, I will give it that. The official scoreboard says 19.82 seconds, which is amazing! It actually put us into 5th place! We might not have won, but it would be something. But of course, that didn't what happened today, sadly. I know we are overly excited and it has been 4 years since we do this last time, so I know where the flaws lie, but… If the others can do it, then why can't we? A tire rolling, tossing the air gun, and one guy went over and then we got an extra person! I mean, guys. I really appreciate the effort, I really, really do. The timing was great, like I said. Still, we can do better, all right? Now, I am not naming anyone, and I won't. I think you guys know what happened down there, but let's not point fingers at each other," she took a sip of water before continuing, "We have to do this as a team, and to communicate better with each other. We can improve, but hey, take a break! You guys could use some too." With that, the meeting was adjured, and Gwen went back into her room, perhaps a little exhausted, but still feeling grateful over the events that has happened. She was already worried about Clarissa and Anna who DNFed, but that went relatively well. And then there was herself, who did decently and in fact the best of all of the Valentians and the Gardeners. However, the Valentians, so far have not won any of the races so far, only being carried by points. It's only a matter of time before they will need a win, or they are not going to get in Championships.

Valentijn “De Sierlijke en Vrij Valkyrie General ov Valentine Z” Samantha Maxwell Delta Weston Stijn Angelus Tracey Mitchell Tristian Marnix Basilisk Lewis Hyatt X. Constantine Sein Lin Zaw Naing, on the other hand, had another idea: Perhaps an invitation of sorts for her friends – the non-Valentian ones specifically – to share and celebrate the fun with her. It was not NSSCRA-related, all things considered, so it was not because she placed 9th or Marcus placed 4th on the previous race. It is regarding the upcoming festival in her home country – Water Festival, or သင်္ကြန် as it is called. In Thailand, it is Songkran (เสงกรานต์), Cambodian New Year (ចូលឆ្នាំខ្មែរ or សង្ក្រាន្ត) in the country of Cambodia, and Lao New Year (which also is called Songkran, but written as ສົງກຣານ). There are a few other cultures that celebrate this significant event, and for Valentijn, she made sure to preserve them when the world went into the Valentian Era in her world. The festival does have a bit of religious reasoning behind it, but at the end of the day, she thought that it will be something everyone can enjoy, or at least the most of them. On top of that, she would make it optional for people to attend. She would send the invitation, whether or not they wanted to go for whatsoever reason is another thing. With a few more days left, she had to make a relatively easy decision.

The email, once again sent to every driver under the sun, all under the BCC field, would look like this: "အားလုံးမင်္ဂလာပါ! That means "Hello, everyone!" though a little bit more formal, if I do say so myself! It is me again, and this time, I would like to invite every one of you to the fun event that is Water Festival. With Valentine Z maintaining and keeping a lot of the traditions and cultures alive, one of such things that carried over from the old world is the event that is known as the Water Festival – called Thingyan in Burma, my home country! In our world, this is also celebrated in other countries outside of Burma, because it wasn't necessarily the thing that originated from Burma. From one of the sources that I have read, "the festival is said to have its origins in a Hindu spring festival that marked the arrival of the new harvest season in ancient India. While other Southeast Asian countries celebrate a similar traditional new year holiday, Thailand's Songkran is the most well-known around the world." So there is that! Anyway, that aside, I know the event as a whole has a bit of religious connotation behind it, but at the same time, that is simply the background of how and why the event originated. The actual event is mostly singing, eating good food, and YES, you get to splash water at people around you! It's all part of the tradition! You can read more about it here as well! Bottom line, I, Valkyrie Valentijn Samantha Constantine, would like to invite ALL of the drivers (including your family, kids, friends, crew, and anyone, really!) to come on down to Valentine Z for a while before heading for the actual races that we will be hosting there. Think of this as celebration and to gather good luck for the next races, especially for the ones in our country! Simply approach the Valentians right after the Sharpe's Battleship 250 in Hapilopper, and we will be allowing visitors to our country through our portal! Please don't worry about the portal – it does not work in those ways where they disintegrate you and reassemble you at the other end; these worked in the principle of wormholes – simply warping the space between one point to another. You will all be safe, I will assure a lot of that! And of course, standard rules for our country apply as well, and I'm aware that you're all driving. As a result, many of you probably cannot drink as heavily during R&R or at all, so don't worry about that! The festivals are still fun even without the drinks! It's not something to have fun without some alcoholic drinks! On top of that, the celebrations are typically 4-5 days long, so if you missed one day, there is no need to feel sad about that, for there will still be another day! We do hope to see you there soon, and thank you for being such amazing folks!"
Val's Stuff. ♡ ^_^ ♡ For You
If you are reading my sig, I want you to have the best day ever ! You are worth it, do not let anyone get you down !
Glory to De Geweldige Sierlijke Katachtige Utopia en Zijne Autonome Machten ov Valentine Z !

The Gardeners – Race 12 – Multiversal: Tropicorp 500, Tropicoast Beach Course, Tropicorp (Superspeedway); Everlong: Tropicorp Racing Supply 250, Tropicoast Beach Course, Tropicorp (Superspeedway)

Anna “De Eeuwige Vreugde” Caitlin Madeline Brigitte Priscilla Teresa Mavis Thanda Pwint Thinzar Nwe, Tweede Verpersoonlijking van De Sierlijke und Verwonderlijk Feline Utopia ov Valentine Z made a huge mistake at Tropicorp Beach Course, one that even she herself found it a bit hard to forgive herself. Sure, Clarissa forgave her at the end of the day, and was in fact more worried about whether or not she got injuries rather than confronting her as to why she hit her in the first place. All was forgiven by Clarissa, and Anna was more than happy for that. It could have been such a simple turn, that went wrong, all because she was not used to the sandy roads. It was definitely not the beach-type of sand, but it was still something a tad disorienting for her to get used to, and as a result, the crash and the DNF. "Ahh, I really should have seen that coming, really!" Anna remarked to one of the reporters who asked her about the crash. At that moment, Clarissa was also beside Anna and the reporters, smiling a little bit to herself and then doing her usual friendly wave to them. "I mean, we did the qualifications and some practice runs on the simulation, so it would not have been fair of me to say that I have no experience on this track. I had a little, just a little! Still, it was quite unpredictable, especially with the other cars around. Of course, I am so very happy to have raced with Clarissa, but I am very, very sorry that I have hit her, even if she did forgave me in the end. And I will do better next time, that is a big promise that I will follow!" With the interview coming to the conclusion, Clarissa and Anna made their way back to the garage, the two entities whose combined happiness was metaphorically enough to tear a rift in space and time, one that even Gwen Tracer Allison Oxton could not fix if it became a little large.

Holly Aceline “De Stralend en Wonderbaarlijk Licht Koningin Van Haar Mooie Universum” Aurora Symantha Vreugde Astrid Lavender Lexis Lilac Harmony Tsi. Marlie Nova Radiant Lapia Starlight visited the garage and then the lounge later with the plan to talk to Massena, with Jolyn tagging along as a personal friend and also to ensure that the French Army will not be up to anything nefarious. It was not so much that Holly assumed they may be hostile because of their nationality or anything like that; it was more of her lingering distrust towards others that is still around. The nagging feeling that she has for countless eternities simply because of the limitless utility that she and her home can serve towards the needs of many beings – both good and bad. Still, Holly have learned to trust and with the people like the Valentians around her, it's no wonder that she got into something as big as NSSCRA, and even into two seasons of World Cup. That is also why she now has a bit of a trust towards Massena – one that specifically asked her about the powers that she got and the uses – to ask him how he is doing after the accident.

The wounds do look pretty bad if I am honest, but hey, you will heal very quickly!" At least, that was how it was supposed to go back in Vilita when she headed towards the garage and then the lounge. She looked around for a while, then slowly walked to one of the crew members whom she figured might have been one of the French soldiers. She asked nicely, to which she got a reply that Massena wasn't around in the lounge anymore and that he got admitted to a hospital in Vilita, perhaps one closet to the Lonngeylin Ring as she added two and two together." She thanked the crew member and with a bow, she then walked quickly back towards the opposite direction and towards Jolyn. "Oh, hey! So, any luck with the guy?" Jolyn asked in turn. Holly shook her head gently, massaging her neck despite not having the body to have such an ache. "Hm hm, no. He's not around her. I was told that he went to a hospital, maybe somewhere close to this place?" Jolyn snapped her finger followed by pulling out her phone and then searching for the hospitals nearby, "Ahh, it's as simple as that, then. Hey, don't worry about it. I will help follow alongside you, then we shall see how it goes, yeah? I think he will appreciate your gesture a little bit as well." Holly gave a little smile, to which she then followed Jolyn as they walked and made their way towards the "nearest hospital from Lonngeylin Ring" with both women still in their firesuits – the only difference was that Jolyn has taken off her helmet while Holly insisted on wearing hers. After a few minutes, they arrived at the entrance of the hospital, to which at that moment both of them figured that they would walk together inside rather than having Jolyn scope out the place from afar.

Jolyn approached the counter, attempting in English first and with any other languages to follow, "Good day to you! Err, may I ask if there is one Monsieur Andre Massena admitted here? #62, he's from The French Army. NSSCRA driver." The receptionist replied and gave the supplied answers, though understandably asked a couple of questions as to what they were doing there. With the firesuits, perhaps the receptionist's first thought was that Jolyn and Holly have a beef with Massena and that they were going to punch him in the casts (if any). Jolyn reassured the receptionist that they are not here for such a thing and that they are just concerned friends for the driver. They also asked for small parts of their personal information, particularly the name and the nationality of the visitors, to which both Jolyn and Holly provided, with the latter being a little hesitant. Then for the purpose of being able to see the faces, the receptionist asked if Holly could take off her helmet, to which she insisted not to, and repeatedly promised that she would not do anything sinister or nefarious. With a bit of reluctance, they were in, and soon made their way to Massena's ward. After going through other wards and places – which would remind a Valentian about the fragility of bodies, Jolyn and Holly got to the ward of Massena, who has a bit of injuries and bruises all over.

"Oh, bonjour Mademoiselle Holly, so nice to see you!" he said, appearing cheerful and friendly, at least to Holly. "Does it really look that bad?" he further asked. In all honesty, Holly didn't know what or how to answer that. She was not an expert in human bodies. Jolyn could answer her question, but even her response would be a little limited. The two looked at each other, same thought that went "Oh dear, if only Germaine or Clarke is around with us here," still, trying her best to look reassuring, Holly approached Massena and tried her best to tell him, "Well, err… emm.. I mean, it does seem like just the bruises and external injuries here and there. Again, I would have to tell you that my friend and I are not professional doctors, so we are simply guessing from the looks of it. I mean, it does not look bad, but… as long as the doctors and the nurses say that there are no internal injuries, you know? Like fractures! Still, I am glad that you are more or less fine, and I would like to wish you a speedy recovery! These injuries happen from time to time, anyway, from what I heard." They would stay and talk for a bit more before going, uneventful.

“60,000 men? Are you kidding me, Yakov Leonidovich?” Vladimir Nikolayevich Ofinovich, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Republic asked the person at the other end of the line with nothing but utter disbelief in his voice. “Did you really just attempt to offer asylum to 60,000 armed soldiers in the name of one of your business deals?”

“In my defense, Vladimir Nikolayevich, I was just trying to see this deal through!” Yakov Leonidovich Yurievsky, “financial adviser” of Urotovsky-Gatutin Motorsports, replied to the Foreign Minister. “Besides, I wasn’t the one who brought it up! Bonaparte himself asked me if there was a possibility that he could move his troops to our country because their position in the Pearl Kingdom had become, shall we say, untenable.”

“Still, man! What you’re asking for me is… it’s bordering on the impossible!” Ofinovich exclaimed. “The Foreign Ministry has processed, what? Only 50,000 or so requests for asylum during my whole tenure as Foreign Minister! And now you’re asking me to grant asylum or whatever to 60,000 armed and edgy and need I mention stinky Frenchmen?”

“Well, strictly speaking, Vladimir Nikolayevich, they’re not really 60,000 men in the Grand Army anymore,” Yurievsky interjected. “There have been desertions, defections, men who didn’t want to leave the camp followers they’ve picked up. You know, those kinds of things happen.”

“And you want to bring all of those men into Pridnestrovia just so you could sell some rifles and artillery pieces?”

“I did get them to test out and accept a hundred of the French bullpups,” Yurievsky said. “And I’m already making progress with selling them with twenty to thirty Msta SPGs, but they’ve been bugging me about that move to Pridnestrovia that I might have agreed to when we shook hands on the rifles.”

"You sold the French bloody Mstas?" Ofinovich asked in disbelief. "Tell me you sold them all those guns that were marked for export but nobody bought them anyway."

"What do you think I'm trying to do here?" Yurievsky said. "The French want to know if they can move to Pridnestrovia first before they continue negotiations with me."

"So what do you want with me now?" Ofinovich wondered.

"If you can't or won't let 60,000 people into the country, can't you at least give visas or asylum to just a thousand? Or even just a hundred, if you don't want to deal with so many fellows stinking up the place."

Ofinovich sighed. "Why do I get the feeling that I will regret what I'm about to do next?" he muttered. And then he turned to look at Yurievsky again and said, "I'll see what I can do, Yakov Leonidovich, but you know the deal. Don't make promises to those Frenchmen that you or I can't keep."

"But what if I have to tell them something?" Yurievsky asked.

"I don't know," Ofinovich shrugged. "Tell them… arrangements are being made, but the process is taking a long time. Surely they must understand that bureaucracy still exists in our times!"

"Then again, they did come from more revolutionary times," Yurievsky muttered. "You have to give me something, Volodya! I value my head just as much as you do, surely!"

"Again, Yasha, I'll see what I can do," Ofinovich said, "but once again, no promises."

"Spasibo, tovarishch Ofinovich," Yurievsky said. "Give my regards to the family."

"Sure, sure, of course," Ofinovich nodded, and then he ended the call before Yurievsky could say anything else. The Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister took a deep breath and slowly let it out while at the same time closing his eyes and rubbing his temples. "Why, oh why did Yakov Yurievsky have to be born a Pridnestrovian?" he asked himself. And why did that bastard agree to let the French into Pridnestrovia? Why couldn't Yurievsky have offered to relocate the damned frogs to a place where it made more sense for them to stay? Someplace like Abanhfleft's Sarvusdalamoive Province, which had a substantial population of French descent?

Vladimir Ofinovich had long told himself that he would never understand how Yakov Yurievsky's brain worked, and it looked like this deal with the French Army lost in time and space was one of those things that made sense to Yurievsky and no one else. Ofinovich sighed again, and then he picked up the telephone on his desk and started making calls.

Homecoming II: WHAT A START!

Here we are...home once again, and this time...back in the JagBase and ready for all the fun. DCar here and while yes, Chris, I am an Ass Wipe, I am an entertaining Ass Wipe at that! This weekend, TJUN Speed Week, was always going to be filled with so much stuff...but let's actually go through it all, shall we?

First of all, some pre-event housekeeping. We got an email from the lovely Valkyrie Valentijn Samantha Constantine asking all NSSCRA personnel if they would like to be transported via a portal for a Water Festival in Valentine Z while the NSSCRA gang is in Hapilopper. We all felt that this would be a nice calming idea so...count us in, De Sierlijke en Vrij Valkyrie General ov Valentine Z! Then came some sadder news as both teams from Kharao and the Kannapian Sports Federation announced they were pulling out of proceedings before the action even began. It's always sad to see nations pull out before the season is over so with that in mind, the flags of both nations will be in the parade last before TJUN-ia's on Sunday.

Then came a Friday filled with interviews and all the fun stuff that comes with the beginning of a new Speed Week but before NIght 1 of TJUNFest @The Jungle could take centre stage, we had our first track action to go through in the form of Qualifying for the NGADM 500 - a race that, once again, would have a Cup Series Open-Charter slot up for grabs. JR had 3 drivers going out for glory this time and they would certainly be favourites of the crowd, as expected. Valkyrie Valentijn Samantha Constantine would take pole by 0.001 over Prince Robin Dragonovic (@RD97SNL) and Daryl Calhoun with Kaarina Salo doing well in 7th, Alice Jepkosgei (@AJ96) in 8th, Ilmari Pëkannen in 14th and Gongmong Gao (@GG70) starting down in 15th. AJ and Gao were in a bemused mood for another reason, however - the mysterious Ren Mazenoda had written a story inspired by them called 'My Chinese Love' which was less Alice Jepkosgei and Gongming Gao, and more Carol Odhiambo and Zhongzheng Zhang. They certainly were flattered by being an inspiration but hoped that they could create some better storylines tomorrow.

Saturday arrived and it was time for the big one - TJUN 600 Qualifying. You could tell the crowd turned things up a notch for this one as all their favourite drivers battled it out for pole for one of the longest races on the NSSCRA Calender. In the end, it would be the deaf icon Tsering Chu who would take the honours of pole - a driver nobody could really hate at all - over King Micheal Stefan (Stefan07), who's hoping to defend the crown and book their Chase spot in the process, and Rinzi Aogar Zakhilwal in what turned out to be a Sherpa 1-3-4. Maddison Riley-Jones (@MaddyRJ03) will also be looking for a Chase spot in 18th, alongside her friend and locked-in Thea Alvarez, and Alfonso Mercado (@AM64) enjoyed a thunderous roar from the crowd as he returned to TJUN-ia for the first time since becoming a Chaser - he will start in 27th, alongside Liangmei Li.

Jean Lannes was the best non-charter in 21st while Lexie Shelby (31st), Anna Star Joy Thanda Pwint Thinzar Nwe (36th), Ricky Lee (38th) and Kassie Collins (40th) will all take part in proceedings tomorrow. Ilya Tsunopin is back as an open-charter (hope he likes the free booze) and will start 19th while the NGADM 500 winner will start dead last alongside Andre Massena, whose returning from an injury that made him miss proceedings in Tropicoast. Aurélia Karvonen will start 39th, but there was one name that would end up on everyone's mind after this session was over - Lam Chow-Cheung. The TJUN-ian in the Kimi-Suomen HM car was given the home treatment just like the JRs, a mark they well and truly deserved for everything they had gone through and their P12 last week, and in the Genderfluid #38 car they would put in their greatest Saturday yet. No one could quite believe it when they crossed the line in 1:08.825 and when that time ended up being good enough for 6th...that was when its magnitude was fully realised. Stefan may be the crowd favourite for tomorrow, but all eyes and hearts will be on Hongxai's finest on Row 3...

And then came the first race, the NGADM 500...and it certainly was a blast! Only 3 cars ended up DNFing in the long race but poor Gao was one of them, a mechanical fault forcing him into the pits for good...which was certainly a shame. Robin ended up losing the crown in 15th, Pëkannen was 13th and bested by Salo in 10th but the key battle was towards the front...where AJ was duelling with the very best in the series for her chance at a home win. She would scrap it out with them all the way to the final lap when she just about did enough to beat Rockii Ezis and Pyotr Lavrentiev to the line...a result that sent the crowd into a frenzy. The Jungle had produced another local winner. The #96 would return to the Cup Series lineup...and it would be through Alice Jepkosgei.
JR: YOU GOT IT! WELL DONE!
AJ: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! OH MY! YEEEEEEEES! AHAHA!
JR: Welcome back to the Chase, AJ! Natumai uko tayari kuvikwa taji la kifalme!
AJ: Wewe bet mimi ni! Thank you, guys! Asante, Asante!
GG: Alice, this is Gao here. Nice work out there, Bǎnlì. Well done!
AJ: Thank you, GaoGao!

She certainly celebrated like a princess out there, doing the doughnuts and running into Gongming's arms straight from the car. The Rivers and Seas would be played in her honour this time and she would be crowned, rightfully so, as Princess Alice V of the Jungle. The champagne and cheers would come soon enough, ending another great day of action at the Jungle Circuit.

Tomorrow shall crown our next King or Queen...and we will have 5 TJUN-ians in the field, a new record at that. Who will claim the crown and a potential spot in the Chase? Let's wait and see...see you tomorrow!

Viidakko (The Jungle/丛林)

Postby Kimi-Suomi » Sun Apr 10, 2022 3:14 pm

Huuhkajat Moottoriurheilu were back on TJUN-ian soil for the 2nd time but this time, it was the big one on the calendar of Kansainvälinen yhteisö - the TJUN 600 week. This week would see HM's first very visit to the Jungle Circuit, Peninsula and a chance to go to their very first Jungle Fever at that (or "Viidakkokuume", as they called it). Let's take a look at how everyone is doing at one of the biggest party weekends of the season!

DM
Being back in Peninsula felt a bit...strange for Daniel Marx. On the one hand, getting to experience the sights and sounds of a TJUN Speed Week once again was an absolute jumalan lahja, a chance to finally feel that he was well and truly back in the sport he loved...but it was also a time for remembering the past. Just down the road from the circuit was the Aintree Country Club and Water Park, the ACC - the venue for Jungle Fever I, a party that turned into a riot and sowed the seeds for his downfall at JR.

But that was then and this was now, his HM building its performances up in its debut campaign and sowing the seeds for a future where a KImi-Suomen could actually compete with the Yeezies and Hapiloppans and Sherpas and TJUN-ians of the world for race wins in both series. This weekend would be another step in the right direction and as he prepared his attire for the bowling at Jungle Fever IV tomorrow, he hoped that he could enter Big 10 Pins with a smile on his face...even though the one he had right now would be hard to get rid of.

Both Kaarina Salo and Ilmari Pëkannen were certainly excited about racing at the Jungle Circuit, a track where they felt that being good at both speed and technicality would give them the best possible chance of getting onto the podium. The scores would certainly be tight this time around, with both drivers doing alright out there, but Salo would be the best of the two on Saturday by finishing in 10th to Ilmari's 13th.

But it's not as if the drivers had any negative emotions to throw at each other this time around...as they both found themselves to be quite cordial to one another. Neither driver could explain it but ever since Ilmari's aggression towards Kaarina had calmed down, the two of them found themselves...actually treating the other driver as their teammate and not as the scum of the earth. There would, however, be time for past tensions to flare up in a good way soon enough - with Ilmari promising to beat Kaarina's ass at a game of keilailu. Haaste Hyväksytty

The VUOHI of Kimi-Suomi certainly struggled around the Jungle Circuit today, and she didn't quite know why. Aurélia Karvonen was certainly happy with what her teammate had managed to do, but 39th looked quite awful in comparison. Marx reassured her that she could make it up in the race because he knew "how fucking brilliant you are at this game". Those were certainly reassuring words to Karvonen and she hopes to be in a good mood for the bowling tomorrow...though maybe those words were stuck in her head a little too much. Strange, but certainly nothing to worry about. Right? Eikö? EIKÖ?

Lam Chow-Cheung was happy. It was as simple as that. Qualifying in 42nd back in Tropicoast was certainly a down point for the masked enby, but somehow they managed to pick it all up in the end with the drive of their lives to 12th. To say they were ecstatic after that would be an understatement...but it was only after the dust had settled when they realised what could've turned their mood around overnight - Thea Alvarez. Actually helping her, being a good friend to her, giving her a friendly hug, blurting out that she was "way cuter" when smiling - it all made them feel...important, cherished, helpful...feelings they hadn't felt in a long old while. Sure, calling her cute was maybe saying the quiet bit out loud, but it was that moment that Lam realised that they could actually make a difference...and that certainly felt brilliant behind that mask.

Heading into the weekend at Peninsula, Lam was ready to show TJUN-ia how their "#7" could actually do...in a new Genderfluid paint scheme that told the world they were proud of who they were and a special blue and orange heart on the mask to showcase their appreciation to the homeland and the fans who cheered them on. And cheer, they certainly did...they could feel the roar the new-look #38 received when they began their qualifying lap and when that sunk in, when they fully realised that a lot of people in that crowd had their back, they knew they had to try and given them the best they could muster...and that lap certainly was it. They knew it felt good and the time of 1:08.825 confirmed it...they would start 6th in front of the home fans tomorrow, alongside Stacie Houston. They certainly didn't expect that and everyone at HM was ecstatic - and so would they. Sure, they weren't going to win tomorrow...but they would certainly try and make everyone smile. That's the new goal of Lam Chow-Cheung...to make sure everyone was happy and that they were as well...because happiness was the key to actually believing in yourself.
