It's surprising that this didn't happen earlier to be honest. As for the Roos, it gives them a path to another final, and a good shot at a IFCF spot too.

AFC Manildon really are the fairytale club of Roosian football, having risen from the relative obscurity of the Pale Football League (7th Tier) to the SFL Championship (2nd), and just two wins from IFCF football. But that run came to an end in extra time, as Pale-Zeal United claimed a win to send them into their first domestic final since the 2001-02 SFF Trophy, where they won 2-0 against Zeal FC. Now they face a much more challenging task, against Zeal Roos for the League Cup, and a LigAnaia + IFCF spot.

Bayern Circunses

Summary: Escaping relegation last season by 3 points was too close for Bayern. They're odds-on favourites to go down, with a weak squad, and nothing has really changed from the previous season's team. So they're probably screwed.

Northern United
Venue: Cove Athletics Centre (11,000)
Last Season: 1st, Championship (Promoted)
Key players: Liam Qukala (CM, STR), Lana Klaqa (LW, STR)
Summary: Another team to be promoted straight back from the Championship, United came back after finishing with the worst record in the history of the top flight, where they didn't win for the first 27 games of the season, then they barely picked up any points in the remaining 7. They then won the 2nd tier title last season with 81 points, beating out Richmond Town in the final matchdays. They'll hope to secure safety with a midtable finish, so, let's wait and see.

Pale Albion
Venue: Pale Docks Stadium (17,500)
Last Season: 14th, 31pts

Summary: After being tipped as IFCF contenders before last season, the dream came crashing down as the 'Gulls slumped to 14th, and finished the season only 4 points off relegation. This season, they aren't expected to do much better. They'll finish mid-table at best, and are more likely to be dragged into the relegation bloodbath.

Pale City
Venue: Pale Football Stadium (40,000)

Summary: Pale City is yet again among the favorites for the title, despite having no players who’ve played for the Roosian national team, or any notable internationals. The title win in 2024 was a miracle, but the top 3 finish last season cemented their status as one of the big teams in Roosian football. This season, excitement is building for what might be a breakout season for wonderkid goalie Rachel Ytayua, who won the golden glove in the SPL2 last year, and SPL U18 the year before that.
Prediction: Up there again.

Pale United
Venue: Nalakai Stadium (30,500)
Last Season: 10th, 47pts

Summary: 10th place was a brief respite for Pale United's fans from their club's ongoing financial disaster. It got worse as the club released Alana Kerr on a free. She went to Florey Garden City in the Kytler Penninsulae, and left behind a team that's a trainwreck on and off the field. They'll either be dragged into the relegation bloodbath or finish mid-table.

Pale Victory

Summary: Missing out on an IFCF spot on goal difference hurts badly. The Victory felt that pain last season. Now, with a similar squad, they hope to go one better and get into next season's Challengers' Cup. Their Midfield pairing of Alex Keane and Dolfo Sanchez looks to be the team's anchor, last season shows that. They'll be the ones to watch.

Pale Zeal United

Summary: PZU caused a shock by not just surviving, but thriving in the top flight last season. A comfortable 9th place finish was something no pundit could've predicted, instead, they were predicted to either go down, or stay up on the final day. Now the hard work's done, they're working towards a goal of finishing in the IFCF places within 5 seasons.

Panem City

Summary: The fallout from the greatest bottle job in the history of Roosian football (where they finished third despite going through the season unbeaten) was severe. A massive reshuffle of backroom staff and a cleanout of most of the playing squad has left a completely new City side. This is as likely to end in a disaster as it is for City to win the title. So, watch this space.

Panem Olympic
Venue: Panem Stadium (35,000)
Last Season: 2nd, 71pts

Summary: Panem Olympic missed out on the title by one point last season. They just needed Zeal FC to hold Zeal Roos to a draw, and to get a win themselves. They did their bit, but a 37th-minute strike by Paul Vanureta crushed their dreams and gave the title to the Roos. This season, the Hellas are focused on redemption. They want their title and are coming in strong for it.

Real Menai
Venue: Estadio Menai (50,000)
Last Season: 6th, 54pts

Summary: A season where Real beat their city rivals for the first time since the early 2000s was one to savor for their fans. Although the team failed to perform in the Cups, getting knocked out in the 4th Round by Northern United in the StrayaRoos Cup, and the 3rd Round of the SFL Cup. This season, everyone's eyes are on one player: 19-year-old Centre-back Cera Jlaka, who made her debut for their farm team, Royals FC, in the Western League Premier (Level 5) last season, and won player of the season. She's probably in line for a national team place soon, so watch this space.

Summary: A season that ended with the Saints' first major cup win since the turn of the century has to be classified as a successful one. Although a mid-table performance in the league was a downer. A major loss in the summer happened after Ali Ari left for Resolute Storm 1913 FC in Polar Islandstates, leaving a large hole in the team's front line. They've attempted to patch it with Adam Ukala, but it's unlikely to work.

Union Zalk
