The Eagle's Club is proud to present Eagles Cup, a modern era re-incarnation of the historic Eagle's Cup. 16+ esteemed nations from throughout the multiverse will compete over 9 Matchdays to lift the Eagle's Cup and earn their place in the Eagle's Club, securing their place as a competitor and potential host in future Eagle's Cups.

Format :: The 16 nations will be split into two 8-team sub-competitions. Each competition will have two groups where 4 teams will play each other nation twice, once at a stadium of their choosing and once at a stadium of their opponents choosing. The first sub-competition is the Cocoa-bo Challenge Trophy which traces direct lineage to the original Eagle's Cup including the representatives from the Eagle's Club and At-Large entrants. The second sub-competition is strictly invite only, tracing a direct lineage to the Cup of Champions and representing only WCC Sanctioned, Major Event & Selet Confederation Champions. From there, the top 2 nations in each group table will advance to the Semi-Final round of each half to be held at an official Eagle's Club location. The winners of these matches will receive a special trophy from the Eagle's Club that also grants the nations honorary status with the Eagle's Club for one competition cycle and advance to the Final of their half. The winners of the Cocoa-bo Challenge Trophy and Cup of Champions will advance to the Eagle's Cup Championship match presented by Cocoa-bo where the winner will be crowned overall champion and granted entry into the Eagle's Club. A third place playoff will also be contested back at the Eagle's Club where medals for the Top Three finishers in the overall will be awarded.

Knockout Round Matches shall be played at an official Eagle's Club location with preference to the Eagle's Club facility of the highest Seed unless no suitable Venue is available
The Final for the Cocoa-bo Challenge Trophy shall be contested at TBD
The Final for the Cup of Champions shall be contested at the TBD
The Final match of the competition shall be the Eagle's Cup Bronze Medal match to be contested at The Eagles Club where all medals will be awarded in a final ceremony.

Transportation support for teams competing in the Eagle's Cup is available through the multinational Logistics and Holdings Company CoCoCo. Cocoa-bo, a primary holding of CoCoCo which heavily leverages the CoCoCo Logistics infrastructure has been signed as the presenting sponsor of the tournament and will have traveling Cocoa-bo booths at all tournament venues.

Eligible Participants :: The bylaws of the Eagle's Club denote guaranteed entry for up to 8 Nations into the Eagle's Cup as follows:

Eagle's Club Members - Minimum 4 entrants into the Eagle's Cup via the Cocoa-bo Challenge Trophy
Eagle's Cup Semi-Finalist - Maximum 3 Entrants into the Eagle's Cup via the Cocoa-bo Challenge Trophy
Non-Member Applicant - Minimum 1 Entrant into the Eagle's Cup via the Cocoa-bo Challenge Trophy

Should the Eagle's Club contain fewer than 4 active member nations then the Eagle's Club allocation to the Cup shall be reduced accordingly. The Eagle's Club shall fill these slots with Non-Member nations by means of Selection, Invitation or Application as necessary to fill the field.

Should the previous cycles Eagle's Cup semi-finalists include Eagle's Club members, or, should any of the previous cycles Eagle's Cup Semi-Finalists fail to send a delegation to the Eagle's Cup, the Eagle's Cup Semi-Finalist's allocation to the Cup shall be reduced accordingly. The Eagle's Club shall fill these slots with Non-Member nations by means of Selection, Invitation or Application as necessary to fill the field.

Per established precedent, entry for up to 4 Nations each into the Champions and Confederations Groups may be earned earned via triumph in recently contested World Cup Committee, Major Recognized Competition including the Cup of Champions and Regionally sanctioned Championships with replacement nations to be selected at the discretion of the Eagle's Club Committee.

Eagle's Club :: The eligibility of Eagle's Club members Eauz, Kingsford and Cosumar are currently in an inactive status. As the once independent nation of Bedistan is now part of the Unified Capitalizt States, the Eagle's Club membership and reserved place in the Eagle's Cup is extended to the Unified Capitalizt States. Temporary Eagle's Club status may also be granted to select non-champion nations based on their final position in the previous Eagle's Cup competition.

Applicant :: At least 1 Additional slot(s) in the Eagle's Cup is available to a nation selected by the Eagle's Club who has submitted an application to the Eagles Club. Additional slots may be made available to non-member applicants if selected delegations are unable to participate. As Invitations are sent out, and delegations formed, all participants will be informed.

Cocoa-bo, an establishment taking its name directly from the beloved national animal of Turori, started as a small dessert shop in Kionao. However, it was only after they added chocolate topped drinks to their menu that their popularity started to soar. As more and more patrons scooped up their chocolate flavored pick-me-ups, demand for the Cocoa-bo product skyrocketed and soon new franchised locations were popping up all throughout Turori. Cocoa-bo has a permanent presence in South Covello and is also continuing to grow its presence in Starblaydia, the Equestrian States and the Free Republics. The company continues to further increase its image by partnering with Motorsport teams and expanding the company footprint across Atlantian Oceania and beyond. Cocoa-bo are also the kit sponsor for Mliona-Lpaka AFC in the Vilitan League. Cocoa-bo's largest current markets are, in order, Turori; South Covello, the Equestrian States, Vilita and the Free Republics. Cocoa-bo's most recent major expansion was to the region of Rushmore through its hub in Starksville, Cassadaigua. Is the Golden Age over? Well... perhaps. But one narrow defeat to Banija doesn't stop the fucking freight train that is this team. After the same 23 that went to the World Cup went on to the Copa Rushmori, this Eagles Cup looms as a chance for some serious contenders to break through. The squad remains something of a clambake, but a number of once-established Cormorants will be hoping to use the chance to break back into Ramsey's thoughts in time for the World Cup.

Tactics

Nepharan football is based around playing hard, pressing aggressively, playing for keeps. Occasionally this leaves gaps behind the high defensive line, though most Nepharan goalkeepers are in the sweeping mould these days to compensate. Marchers are, by and large, a physically imposing folk, and eager to throw their size around. The footballing culture is intensely competitive, and those that survive to make their way to the top are hellbent on winning at any cost. Elbows to the face. Subtle digs in the ribs. Diving is dishonest when opponents do it but streetwise when Nepharim do it. In short, Nephara are the bully from two years above who picked you, specifically, out as a natural target.

That is often the foreign perspective, but it overlooks a key fact; Nepharan football can honestly be beautiful to watch. Generations of players brought up on dry plains or asphalt play the ball quickly and fearlessly along the ground, never sideways when there's a forward option open, always looking to stretch and probe and stay one really good pass away from a goal. Nepharim are undoubtedly physical, even cynical, but their success has been built off the backs of ruthless, fast-paced passing football.

The Godhead
For home matches, and during international tournaments, Nephara wheels out the 'Godhead', a giant boulder with an eerie resemblance to Gethin Ramsey, first manager of the Cormorants in the modern era and by now long dead. Nepharim have a superstitious streak, and while nobody's saying it is, in fact, the mystic reincarnation of their most iconic leader, nobody's quite not saying it, either. The Godhead is traditionally 'walked' to the stadium by Nepharim ultras using an intricate series of ropes, and often a flare is wedged into its 'mouth' to simulate a smoking cigar.

Daughter of the legendary Gethin Ramsey, Nephara's Baptism of Fire manager and (probably) the first manager to take three different nations to the World Cup, but Triffid's eager to get out from under that shadow. A very good but not excellent player, Ramsey took naturally to management and pursues a more modern version of the elder Ramsey's ideals - industry backed by data, athleticism backed by sport science, pace backed by skill. Catherine Sedgwick is a former national team player and formidable manager in her own right, here to offer a steady hand at the tiller and keen tactical mind. Together, they won the World Cup. What else is there to say?

Things look a lot better at centre-half than even two years ago, with Shosanna Bruhn making a big move to Valanora and the emergence of high-grade bruisers Warden and Clemence. Bruhn's silky-smooth on the ball, and will hope to launch plenty of attacks through the spine. National team veteran Rostock is immensely defensively adept down the right, with well-travelled Islinger ploughing a very aggressive track down the left. An undoubted area of strength in depth.

If you're playing in Eshialand City, expect to find a cosmopolitan city at the cutting edge of modern tech, with lots of culture to take in at the same time. Maybe you could go for a bite to eat at one of the many nice restaurants, or spend a nice day with a walk by the lakeshore. There are plenty of options for things to do, so the world is your oyster. The stadium itself is a very modern facility, having been built just a year ago in response to the Owls' incredible performance in the Baptism of Fire, with a retractable roof in case of nasty weather (but don't expect to use it much).

About the Manager

Shane Newman is a Baker Park born, who took the chance to become the first NT boss for Havynwilde with an understanding that he would have time & resources to build from scratch. He was hounded by negative media coverage, the unrealisitc expectations of supporters & the governing body, and no investment to correct the dearth of talent in the domestic league. He was unceremoniously fired while out of the country on holiday. He'll consider his time there a learning experience. Was the chief defensive architect for the BPNT in the first three WC cycles.Aged 49 and married with three children--a boy and two girls--he will look to the domestic league for talent by focusing on technique, pace, and positional flexibility.

#1 Steve Leghorn (Goalkeeper)
Steve Leghorn, that name when spoken in Indusse creates a legendary vibe. If anyone asks an Indussean who's your favourite goalkeeper, they would say without wasting a second that it's none other than Steve. Steve is well known due to his performance and his charitable trust. He's a well known figure in the nation who could be a political mastermind. He started his career in Trau de Mongers FC, a local football club in Southbay which soon died after his transfer. His quality performance in the club got him a direct ticket to Southbay Riveria FC B team and soon into the main team. He played for three seasons for Southbay and won the Golden Gloves award in all the seasons. His omnipresent performance got him into the national camp and get him into the best Goalkeeper the nation has ever seen. After this transfer from Southbay to Dhalopura FC, he's been winning all the Golden Gloves in the participated seasons without giving others a chance to snatch them. He's the real saviour of Indusse, saving the nation from the cannon ball like opponent goal shots.

#6 Sampath Singh Aksinwala (Defender)
The Aksinwalas are a well known wrestling clan in Sindvpore. They are those people out there who smash everyone down who stands against them. Sampath Singh Aksinwala could have followed his family customs and traditions and become a wrestling champion smashing all down like a rock. Well, he had started his sporting career as a wrestler back in his 13s but he slowly got interested in soccer and with his fit physique he was a perfect fit for a defender. At his early years, he always got red cards in his matches since he used to throw his opponents away thinking that he is wrestling. The Local Clubs still gave him chance to play and he slowly changed his wrestling in soccer into total defender football. He started to be known all over Sindvpore and he got another call from Sindvpore FC. He still plays for Sindvpore FC and played a major role in their Liga Prima Victory and FFI Cup Victory. He is now the vice captain of Sindvpore FC and is a really important member of the Indussean National Team.

#13 Mathias Paulson (Defender)
Mathias Paulson born to a wealthy Syrian Christian family in Southbay. He wasn't a soccer maniac or something, who would have started playing for clubs before teenage. He started playing at the age of fifteen for several local clubs including his school and college clubs. After this Sport Medicine graduation from Saint Louis Holiness College in Jawaruyah, he got a mail from the Jawaruyah XI FC for being a defence and fitness co trainer. With his outmost hardwork in the game, he soon won a lot of awards and got a call from Rockies International FC for being their defender. He soon left Jawaruyah for Rockies Islands, it was his perfect defending which let the club rise from Division to to Primary Division tournament Liga Prime. The Team reached top three of the primary division tournament after his arrival and he also received a lot of awards for his play. With his arrival in Liga Prime and as a successor to former Rockies Defender Maryland Bruno (Maryland is his nickname because he used to run a cookie brand called Maryland Food), he got into the radar of National team selectors. He later got the call of the selectors to join the national team camp which was the turnover in his career. He soon became a well known defender in the nation and the captain of Rockies International FC.

#4 Aaron McMuller (defender)
Aaron McMuller, born as Aaron Davis Miller is a thirty two year old defender who earned fame during the early transition period. He started playing for Malta FC at the age of Eighteen since his father was the owner of the club. Eventhough it's an unconstitutional admission to the club, he later got to be the key player of the team. His direct ticket to the club without any obstacles made his way to the national camp easy. His defensive analysis gameplay got famed through out Malta and it's neighborhood provinces of Sindvpore and Cheralam. With the fame rising and clubs waiting to get him to their home, the national team selectors caught on him and added him into the national team squad list. Everything was quick for him, the transition from a club player into a professional footballer. The transition from a rich kid into a really rich earning star. The transition from slow paced defense into quick defense and counter strikes... Everything. He is also known as the only defender in Indusse who has scored 100 goals in their domestic history.

Alexis Budtedjson, that's the name of the all in all of pass gameplay. Budtedjson has been a major part of the team in every international match played. Alexis was born as a neighbor to Baskar Kumar and has been his childhood friend. Both of them started to chase their dreams together and it was Alexis who got into professional football first. Alexis started his professional career with New Hind City FC B team. His perfect play, in the B team got him into Dhalopura FC. His best career club ever, Dhalopura FC got him into fame and later Gav him the ticket to National Team. He scored his first international goal in his debut match and he says that it's his favourite memory. He later got transferred into Sindvpore FC and has been playing for the team. During the colonial era in Indusse, he started working for the national police force (NPF) and he got promoted into the assistant commissioner of Hind City. His wife, Samantha Budtedjson is a well known tennis player of Indusse. She's currently playing in the NSTT for Indusse.

#14 Djetson Hazle (Mid Fielder)
Born as Djetson Hazlett to Dr. Henry Hazlett and Maria Henry in Sindvpore, Djetson change his surname at the age of sixteen to Hazle for joining film industry since there was a prominent star "Philip Hazlett" existing. He couldn't do much in the film industry, which changed his route into football. He played for the national U-18 team due to his absolutely commendable performance for his club Sindvpore FC. His performance also brought him into the national team and got himself as.a key player. He still plays for Sindvpore FC and took part in the Championship of FFI. He is married to Katherine Hazlett, daughter of film star Philip Hazlett. Katherine is also a prominent film star in Indusse. Hazle also took part in futsal and also tried a hand in hockey. But he later realised that he was made for professional soccer.

#10 Baskar H Kumar (Forward)
The best footballer Indusse has seen, that's what Baskar Kumar is. "If Baskar isn't there then, indusse wouldn't play well anytime soon" says Joseph Moteudi.Baskar Kumar was born to District Magistrate Hariharan Kumar and Adv. Maya Devi in Hind City. He started his soccer experience at an age of twelve playing for his school team. He later graduated for Political Studies and played for the university team. His quality performance for the University got him selected for Hind City FC B team and later to Hind City FC. His performance got him a ticket to the national team and he is still one of the oldest players in the national team. He is the current captain of New Hind City FC and Indussean National Team. He is currently the only player in Indusse scoring five hundred goals and the highest goal scorer in Indussean history. At the time of colonial opression, he took part in the independence movement and became the first and current president (term two) of Indusse. He played a major role in changing indusse from "Demoarchal Kingdom" to "Al shayarid empire" to "Holy Patriarchal Union and Republic". He was invested with Bharatratna award given out by India for the best politician.

#7 Bechun Butea (Forward)
Once the best substitute to Baskar Kumar, now he faces a lot of competition from his fellow mates out there.Born to the family of footballers, Bechun didn't face any difficulty to choose his career. At the age of seven, his father admitted him to a local coaching center and with the basic skills got him into the Sindvpore Football Federation Training Center. Bechun's father was Takawilaka Butea, who got elected as the President of Sindvpore Football Federation. Bechun played his first professional match for Sindvpore FC and got transferred into Southbay Riveria FC. He later scored a lot of Goals opening his way to the national camp. He played as a captain substitute and vice captain of the national team and captain of Southbay Riveria FC until Baskar Kumar joined. He also played a major role in the Goblin Humanoid Project which created Goblin Grundjee, who's the first non human national player in Indusse. A football goblin was Bechun's idea. He also got the National Sports Academy Mentor post and is currently the cheif mentor of U-18 national team. His brother, Lalguvasara is the coach of Malta FC and his son Jackson Butea is playing for Sindvpore FC under 18 team.

#11 Antonio Mersiás (Forward)
The second youngest recruit in the camp, Antonio Mersiás is a well known youth idol in the nation. He was the captain of Indussean youth team in the Sporting World Cup. He led the team into the semi finals of the tournament till they lost to Starblaydia's young guns. He was born in Karadawadi, a county in Dhalopura to Francis Antony, who was a carpenter and Selina Francis. He lived as a poor kid going to the village school who wasn't so good at academics but bright in sports. His quality sporting skills caught the eyes of the headmaster there, who admitted him to the local football training sessions. The headmaster soon send him to the Jawal-Biesse the nearest city for his studies. He played for the Jawal-Biesse FC for three years and captained the team until he was called to play for the Dhalopura FC. He got selected to the U-18 team as soon as he played his first match for Dhalopura FC. His quality play in the club also got him promoted as the captain of the youth team. His awesome, historical performance for the youth team got him a quick ticket to the National Team Camp. He is currently an important part of the national team who cannot be replaced easily.

#100 Goblin Grundjee (Forward)
Goblin Grundjee who is the first ever non-human sportsperson from Indusse. The Grundjee's are one of the families of the Goblin species that was created by the scientists by DNA Modelling. The scientists created a new race of Goblins through gene editing and combining the DNAs of Humans with certain animals and Algae. The goblin species were divided into three families were Grundjees are one of the major part. The other two families are called Mithys and Auris. The current members of the grundjee family is Colonel Grundjee who is a Colonel in the royal army of Indusse. The gene of colonel Grundjee was created by merging the genes of three colonels of the army with the genes of a eagle and the green algae. The green algae plays a necessary role in getting the green Color of the skin. The other member is Goblin Grundjee who is currently playing for the juniors. His gene was created by merging the genes of David Bekem, a former football and of a wild horse. The green algae is also a necessary part of the composition. The grundjee family has the green composition of skins due to green algae. Whereas, Mithys has a brownish red skin due to the presence of Blue-green Algae with Iron sediments, Auris family has the skin Color of a normal human as there isn't any presence of algae. The skin textures and patterns of the goblins are same as the humans and the color is the only thing that can discriminate it with humans. The scientific community believe that the goblin race will create revolution in the world of science. The creation of Goblin Grundjee was overseen by fellow player Bechun Butea who also played a major role in bringing Grundjee as a experimental player. Well, Grundjee is currently one of the best strikers the nation has seen.

It’s a little while now since Brian McAllister swapped the relative comfort of being a number two for the crucible of international head coachery. A key part of the backroom team that masterminded Tikariot’s highly impressive arrival onto the world stage, McAllister has led Sargossa to fourth place at the Cup of Harmony 78, a couple of quarter final places and through two World Cup qualifying campaigns. But his crowning achievement is of course leading the Corsairs to the title at the 38th Copa Rushmori.

At times during the last World Cup campaign the Corsairs were woeful at the back, conceded forty times in eighteen fixtures. A reversion to a back three seems to have stemmed the tide and the side looked much harder to break down at the Copa Rushmori in Eura. The experienced Juan Esnáider remains the leader at the back but the coaching staff have been searching around for real quality at centreback. Miralles and Dengra have the nod for now but Máximo Moya is waiting to step in. The youngster Cáceres looks to be an absolute gem dug from the barrios of San Marquez and could get some international experience under his belt. Figueroa and Barrueco are both comfortable ranging forward, potentially at the expense of their defensive duties.

If the wingbacks don’t push forward in support, there’s a danger in the midfield duo becoming overwhelmed. So a pairing with plenty of lung capacity is a must. Enrique González proved a revelation at the Copa and is likely to continue partnering Juan Sebastián Varela, with Marcos Águila pushing both hard for a starting berth. Fonseca remains a class act but probably now lacks the legs to compete for a full ninety minutes. He and midfield destroyer Esteban Pomar will likely see plenty of action from the bench. The initial delight shown by the wingers at the appointment of a coach who might actually use them in the preferred roles has worn off since the recent tactical tweak, having found themselves as plan Bs once again.

No team in the group scored more than Sargossa in the last World Cup campaign so personnel in the offensive third are likely to remain largely unchanged. Mateo Manzanares has made the central striking role his own but Diego Alejandro Costa’s dip in form in the second half of qualifiers may have counted against him. Although an impressive Copa Rushmori should see him in the starting eleven. Mauricio Sainz provides a more agricultural option through the middle if necessary. In the biggest change Alonzo Bienvenida is set to be employed as a left footed right winger. Esteban Leguizamo is a more conventional wide option and has impressed when coming on from the bench.

Style

Brian McAllister, alongside Stuart Ekstrom, implemented an attractive, fluid, attacking style on their Tikariot side. With a formation that was 4-3-3 in possession, 4-5-1 without it and plenty of movement, both on and off the ball. Swift, short passing and forwards switching positions to confuddle the opposition were also hallmarks of that Tikariot approach. The coach hasn’t quite been able to bring that tactical blueprint to bear in Sargossa. Unfortunately, while effective going forward, the Corsairs have been slightly woeful at the back. Which has led to something of a tactical rethink. In response McAllister has moved to meld a defensive form his charges are comfortable with, namely a back three, but still keeping the attacking flourish his own favoured system has displayed. Creating something akin to a hybrid 5-2-3.

The SuperLiga is quite a physical league so challenges can often be described as 'uncompromising' and cards are pretty common. Gamesmanship, while never encouraged, is also not entirely uncommon. But diving is considered particularly stigmatic so Sargossan players are unlikely to be found doing it.

Designed by Nethertopian architect Gert Naamloos and part financed by two SuperLiga clubs, the Sargossan government and Starblaydi sportswear giants ediraf it is a truly magnificent sporting arena. The Estadio Generalissimo Joaquín Delgado, as the ediraf Arena was rechristened when the naming rights deal expired, is the epitome of a modern football stadium. Consequently, it is the national side’s most commonly used venue. Unfortunately, the glamourous surroundings are marred somewhat by the Soluca crowds’ reputation for being both fickle and moody.

TACTICS: Typically play a 4-4-2 diamond that can evolve into a 3-5-2/5-3-2 by dropping the holding midfielder into the back line, something that Pringle - the team captain - is very well suited to. Wahl emphasises a possession game, but pocket rocket Hohepa can flip a switch with his elusiveness every time he gets going; he's particularly good at drawing a foul, and considering the opposition this team will face that's a huge boost as they'll likely need set pieces to score. Tamar tends to win quite a lot of aerial duels, which helps the efficiency of said opportunities, while Porfirio's pace makes him a threat to get behind a defense who sell out with a high line - a gamble these Kytlerians rarely take themselves, preferring to go with a low block and daring opponents to find a way through them.

HOME STADIUM: Zube Olympic Stadium, Zube. Recently renovated ahead of the end of the latest Kytlerian isolation, this stadium was the centrepiece of the Games of the IX Olympiad, and is a national landmark famous for its pillar-suspended upper deck at either end, affording views of the surrounding city park (archive image here, from prior to its Olympic-sparked expansion). After renovations, it now has 61,093 seats. Deliberate? Of course it's slani deliberate.

"What in the world is going on with all of this traffic??"

For George Habisbrauer, being caught in traffic along Grepuy Road in downtown Eshialand City was an absolute nightmare. He had a place to be, and whatever this was wasn't helping him get there.

George rolled down his passenger-side window, only to see the King of Eshialand there for some reason. "What are you doing here?"

"Hello to you too, George..." King William remarked sarcastically, "anyway, are you enjoying the parade?"
"Parade?"
"The five years of Eshialand parade, of course!"
"Eshialand Day isn't for another 2 weeks though!"
"But the festivities are starting now!"
"Well, that's great for you, but I have to be at Lucy's Diner!"
"Oh, that's right along the parade path I'm afraid... have you tried walking?"
"WALKING?!?! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET THERE IN TIME WALKING THROUGH THAT CROWD?!?!"
"You seem distressed. Is this a Rebecca thing?"
"How did you--"
"Let me guess, you're going to have to go away for the Eagle's Cup soon and you're afraid that this could be your last chance to see her for a while?"
"Uh..."
"She can wait, and let's face it, she's probably going to be late too. Just relax! Your second match will be at home anyway, so even if you miss her today you'll be able to see her in four days, tops."

Didrik hit the ground running with the national team, with the Marauders blossoming under his methodical and attack approach to the game, having used his time with United to properly manage the egos as well as the playing time for the squad in order to get the team to play to its best. An Eagles' Cup victory, two straight appearances of at least in the Quarterfinals in the World Cup, and a Quarterfinal showing in the last AOCAF definitely suggests that the players listen to what he has to say and respect what he seems to understand about the game.

After finally making his name in Turori, Julius was handed the number one shirt last cycle and proved to be an adequate replacement for Sean Smørdal, despite not possessing the same elite level reflexes as his predecessor. A reliable shot stopped is all that the Marauders were looking for and they got exactly that last cycle, letting the former Raynor City United keeper keep his hold on the position, for now.

Quick to get stuck in and throw her body at an opponent, she is perhaps a bit more reckless than a normal Vanorian defender, but her play with the Flames as been stellar and has produced the results that have given her the chance to start for the national team.

He was awarded one of the spots that the Vanorians have in the World Cup Hall of Fame, with it being very well deserved, as he has and continues to earn everything he has been given every single day. Hawk simply strives to be the very best footballer, captain, and teammate that there can be, with the hunger for perfection driving him forth on and off the pitch.

5 Gideon Riemann, AS Bezieres

Gideon emerged as a powerful and reliable center midfielder during the Finals, coming to play a destroyer role alongside Larsen and was able to be a highly influential impact substitute. Strong and pacy, versatile enough to play both in the center of the park as well as on the wing when called upon, he looks to be a long term starter for the Marauders as long as his club career doesn't have him fall out of favor.

Thought to be one of the next great attacking wingers for the Marauders, Indra made the interesting decision to go to one of the struggling sides of the Audioslavia league. She did her best to keep them up for several seasons before they were relegated but she catapulted to one of the best teams in the world in Brinemouth on the basis of her talent showcased both for club as well as country. Still in need of a bit of refinement, she is nonetheless a very lethal player out wide for the Marauders.

Another product of the masterful attacking academy at Capri, Jutta started her career as just a cunny speed merchant who used her pace to get behind defenses and easily score. A late growth spurt turned her into a more well rounded player with an imposing physical presence that can both move past defenders and through the channels, but also win fights in the air when she has to.

The meteoric rise of Ludwig has been nothing short of remarkable and now he gets a chance to start for the national team, following that of Thor Møller, and to try and help lead the line alongside Saxstrom. A more unselfish player than his predecessor and a bit more versatility, with the ability to play out on the left wing or even in the middle of the park in a pinch, Ludwig is a well rounded striker who can play provider as well as finish off opportunities. He is not a superstar in the making, he is a star now and has all the skill and highlights to prove his worthiness in the discussion as one of the best players of his generation.

COACH

Morten Troghil being manager of the team since its creation. Being selected for this work by the vote of coaches and general public, he won BoF, create a rather strong team, and right now his reputation as coach is sky high.

PLAYERS

After very unlucky most recent season team played rather well in IAC-13 and went to win Melayu Cup. Eagles Cup is seen as a good place to prepare for next WCQ.

GOALKEEPERS

Tomas Kot Kotsson (32). Flexible and agile, quick-thinking, he recently made a quick progress – probably due to the hard work at the recent FA training camp for goalkeepers. Altought previously he was justifiable castigated for a big numbers of goals conceded, and there was doubts if he continue as number one, in the last tournaments he improved his game significantly, and conceded less goals than every other goalkeeper in the recent WCQ, rising then to a man of iconic stature due to his performance in IAC and MC.
Jesper Krogh (24). Player who already prove himself on a league level, fast and good at the second floor, without losing something in his first floor game skills, making some incredible saves in our league. At the MC-7 he taste big game first time and having rather positive reviews, after that he prove himself as reliable goalkeeper, and right now counted as strong contender for the goalkeeper position number two.
Finnsnes Soderhelm (29). “Confidence come with experience”, – often said coaches, and it’s close to what happened to this goalkeeper. Having spent full first half of career mostly as backup in the first league teams, he move one floor down and soon return to the spotlight as a reliable and competent goalkeeper. With a lot of experience behing him, he is great in handling things in his domain, always cool-headed even in the most difficult situations, while giving sense of security to his teammates. He earned his first cap on the IAC, but most probably remain at the sideline at the Eagle Cup.

DEFENDERS

Jesper Loonstrup(24). One of the youngest members of the team, he is flank defender in the preferred Trolleborg style – fast moving, adept in supporting attacking moves, willingly throw himself in the way of the ball, aggressive in tackling.
Aien Troger (30). He is fast, strongly build and extremely good in tackling. It’s very challenging to move into the box past him and he is made a serious progress for four seasons Trolleborg team played in the international football. Being (probably) in his prime years, he was a pillar of defence, but it will be seen whom coach paired him in the centre.
Joran Du Riis(27). Cold-blooded fighter prove that he more than capable holding his own at the highest level. Agile and fast-moving, but solidly builded and used this for his advantage, he prefers play either to the right of center or on the right side, as team needed.
William Schendel (25). Versatile fast moving defender known for his skillful positioning and man-marking, highly effective in breaking opposition attacks, great in the heading, with incredible high crosses-interception rate. But right now he hasn’t a permanent place in the lineup.
Kasper Wolters (29). One of the team brightest stars, he is right back by default, but he is very strong, very fast, have a very good shot and even better crossing skill. Having all this, he very often make a lighting runs to the opposition box and sometime substitute right midfielder. But right now coaches ask him to not overextend himself.
Torgeir Dushegub (33). Known as a Column, this tall and strong player usually dominates a box both in the air and at the grass. Being always calm and confidence, he projected aura of them around. Age advanced on him, but he was trying to live up to the fan expectations.
Winden Norgaard (24). This fast left defender recently prove in the Trolleborg League that he has everything needed for playing at that level. He stands out for his tenacity and fitness, often move forward to support attacks, but willingly return to his duties when needed. Right now he is rarely seen in the starting lineup, but as coach prove many times, everyone has chance to make it.
Karsten Lindeblad (23). Robust right defender, fast and strong, with good position sense, he prove himself in the Trolleborg league as worthy opponent even for the best forwards, fighting for every ball and never give up. His first games in the national team is not convincing enough, but Morten Troghil nevertheless take him into the squad for the Eagle Cup.

MIDFIELDERS

Rolf Valgren (33). Quick-thinking, with a perfect understanding of game, seeing everyone and everything in the field, and with brilliant passing skills, this man can bring ball everywhere he wants. He definitely add something from international experience, and his wealth of experience personified through by his calmness on the ball.
Torstein Halst (23). Right winger\forward, with a good passing, master of highly accurate long crosses and very well making in curved shots from outside the box. Willingness to fight for every ball, spare no effort, and, most importantly, improve his skills is what give this very young player a chance to play for national team.
Finn Finnsnes (32). Playing usually attacking midfielder, free forward or link man between midfielders and attackers, he is swift, smart, good dribbler with a great sense of goal possibilities. Having all this, he didn’t make solo runs without need, and has a habit to review every option before doing something, so opponents never know beforehand what he did next second. But last season this can be also sometimes said for his teammates.
Morten Troll (28). He is a brightest star amongst midfielders in the whole country. Genius of game, with a wonderful dribbling, beautiful technique, excellent pass and extremely good shot, he won many games for his local team single-handedly, but also a great team player with great repertoire of tricks. Highly probably, he will be a player of generation, and very probably, best player Trolleborg ever had. He brilliantly justified all the positive reviews even when team performance was rather uninspiring. Recently Troghil prefer to give other players chance to play in the centre, but looked like they they all lack something he has.
Kenneth Pathmoor (25). Recent addition to the team, Kenneth already play in the WCQ cycle, altought coach don’t selected him for the World Cup itself. But looked like everything is ahead for this versatile and clever midfielder, who can cover a lot of space and conjure goal opportunity for his forwards from nothing. With his pace, agility and an eye for goal he probably has a bright future. But something went wrong when he don national team shirt and right now, however, he was not a key figure on the field, to the much of Morten Troghil dissatisfaction.
Kasper Windass (24). Broad and strong left midfielder, he looked a little bit sluggish when moving without ball, but everything changes when he have it. Then he moved extremely fast, sweeping away everything in its path due to his mighty build and usually ended move with a clever pass.
Jesper Lucius (23). With a perfect sense of game, this central midfielder usually can move ball to where it want with only one touch, and he is good with a set-pieces. Some say, he was like a Morten Troll in his younger years, and most probably backup for him right now.
Jesper Gronholm (26). Recent addition to the team, he was comfortable down the right flank as either defender or midfielder. Competenly hold his own while in defence, he was willingly join any move forward, where he pass ball quickly and thoughtfully.
Jorpen Kjelle (23). Left midfielder, prefer to move almost hugging left-hand touchline. He was as comfortable when playing left midfielder as he is operating as left defender, but right now he hasn’t defined place in the national team..

FORWARDS

Stuart Kerr (32). Almost legendary person, worshipped by fans, Stuart is the quick, brave and skillful, moved fast despite age, love to puzzle defenders and having ability shot from everywhere in the box right despite defenders best efforts. Brilliantly confirmed his reputation as a prolific scorer at home, he was definitely keystone of team that winning BoF, winning a prize for the topgoalscorer of BoF and continue to add goals in almost every tournament. Popularity of name Stuart for the newborn babies in Trolleborg is rise exponential in all years since our national team played first game
Tom Gulbranden (31). Together with Stuart Kerr he formed one of the most iconic pair of forwards in the South Pacific if not the world. Build like a very tall stone wall, he easily can tramp defenders if he wish to do so. But he don’t need such a things due to his other qualities. Altought never shies physical contacts with defenders and having often put opponents under pressure, he can move past defenders with surprising speed, it’s difficult to knock ball out of his possession, and his powerful leap give him many advantages. Yes, it is looked impossible, that a man of such a stature can bring himself in the air at all, but nevertheless he is – strongly jumping and struck the ball by the head with deadly precision, scoring many of the most beautiful goals of the team.
Torgeir Berglund (24). Effective center forward in front of goals, having something in common in both Kerr and Gulbranden despite their visible differences. He prove his goal-scoring talents in the national team, but usually coach put him in the lineup in less important games.
Torfinn Jivoglot (22). Albeit very young, he is already established player in the Trolleborg league with a very decent play-to-goal rate. Very fast, reading game perfectly, with a strong goal flair, he will probably have a bright future, but he need to prove his qualifications to have a spot in the national team soon.

TEAM TACTICS AND GAME STYLE

Team practiced attractive attacking game on a fast pace, and already its style well-known and liked by public. Usually played 4-4-2 with defenders pressed forward whatever possible, or 3-5-2 with a midfielders move back and forth as things dictated. Integral and inalienable part of the team’s game will be mighty pressing, applied whatever on the field when ball is not on our side.

National psyche tell players to put everything even if odds are heavily against, so almost every match in the league played with high determination, and national team shirt oblige one who wore it for even more efforts – altought it was visible, that players often lose breath when unexpected setbacks occur. Unsportsmanlike behavior is highly discouraged even if in the interests of the cause, and national team players are required to meet the highest standards possible, so it is completely impossible to imagine a player of the Trolleborg national team faking injury or begging for a penalty. But players are not easily bullied, though, and more than able to stand up for themselves both as individuals and as a team, and have a strong inclination to go tit-for-tat in case of excessive brutality on the opponent’s part.

STADIUM

All Trolleborg’s home games, bar anything unusual happened, will be played in the capital, Trolleborg City, on a “1th December” Stadium, which have a recently upgraded and having capacity of 100000.

This stadium was built by the voluntary labor of ordinary citizens in the honour of the sacred 1th December, Trolleborg Day of Victory. And due to that tickets to all games taken place here is always free, altought in the cases there are high demand (like in the WCQ games) they are arranged by lottery. It’s located in the beautiful place – in the middle of a forested area on a peninsula protruding into the sea near the capital. Three stations of subway transport and stops of two bus routes located within two kilometers, and this allow fans arrive and leave stadium quickly and troubleless. Specially designed climate system provides around the stadium constant sunny weather with t +18C, with, maybe, occasional gusts of winds from the sea. It was also sometimes used by basketball and hockey national teams, and it’s entirely possible, that this worn out any magic of this place, since every team having too many defeats at home turf recently. Footballers, after spend two and half international season without having lose single game at home, lost almost half of all games at last two WCQs.

Bassabook Baritone:

Last cycle, Zwangzug returned to the Eagles' Club in a vain attempt to recapture the glories of, uh, cycle 76 when we weren't even involved in WCC competition. Needless to say, they crashed out in the group stage...and yet a 5-1 victory against Valanora was arguably the highlight of the cycle, considering that they failed to qualify for World Cup 88 as first seeds in their group. (Okay, so the CoH was interesting, not impressive, but fun to watch!)

Anyway, for some indiscernible reason we're back again, presumably as target practice for the Cormorants' B-team, to say nothing of the Vanorian Marauders and Cassadaigua. Turori and Græntfjall, who edged us out last time, went on to win the World Cup and Cup of Harmony respectively, so at least we'll be on the opposite half of the draw as them. (Although Turori get to play against a "Vilitan Union" side that also contains some of their own citizens, I'm not exactly sure how the whole eligibility thing works here.)

If there's anything worth watching in this repetitive clusterbleep, it's probably the return of the Kytler Peninsulae, a country much admired in Zwangzug for their impressive (if boringly conformist) cycling teams. "They're also an admirably progressive and open-minded society in some ways," said insufferable religious zealot Mikhail Struve of the Worshipful Cherubim, a member of the Nautilus cycling team. "And I hope their football squad meets with success." [Editor's note: journalist had a lot more insulting and rude things to say about international cycling but I think that's quite enough of that.]

While Nancy Puyo-Sachar is the newest callup from the "Cabbas," she's not the only star within her own family. Born Nancy Sachar, she hyphenated her name upon marrying Griffith Puyo, a fellow athlete who she met at Universitaet Schwandt. Nancy stayed in Cham, following in the attacking-midfield tradition of Edwin Cherenkov-Nguyen and Kayla Haugen, and has now reappeared on Kate DiMarini's radar. Griffith, for his part, headed to chilly Weegham to play baseball for the Rainmakers, and has recently been selected for Wenjie Liu's Zebras side.

"I guess you can say that these days we're both rivals of the Arlington teams," Nancy teased. "But really, I think it's good having someone who understands the commitment and energy that a sports career takes--without directly competing against you. I've known couples who played the same sport and it was hard when one person's career took off while the other's didn't."

Zwangzug has not had many well-known athletic families, compared to some other dynasties. [The absence of a consistent aging system can't help with that either, just saying. -ed] Whether the Puyo-Sachars will rise to fame independently or remain an interesting historical footnote remains to be seen, but Griffith doesn't seem concerned. "There's luck involved just in being in the right place at the right time, to have a competitive national team in two sports. A lot of great players, for no fault of their own, can't say that. And of course, I'm extremely lucky to have found a partner like Nancy, and that'd be true even if we were both pencil-pushers like everyone else."

Arlington Moon-Tribune:

With Keppal Cosmos receding as a force, Johan Idmar has retired with 47 international goals--first in the modern era, and fourth all-time. Gordon Blum becomes the new first choice as lone striker. At 34 goals and counting, he could conceivably pass Idmar this cycle. But then, he's not much younger (they both got called up in Eagles' Cup 8, when Zwangzug returned to a (1)-4-5-1 after experimenting with a strikerless formation). And Bassabook have been on the downswing, as well.

Which makes it all the more impressive that Valerie Waugh has been called up as Blum's backup/replacement. She plays for 102d, who are of course Bassabook's archrivals. The latest season seems to confirm that 102d's rise is no flash-in-the-pan; at long last, they can justly claim to having the upper hand in the rivalry. Fedya Troy-Vee remains the starting goalkeeper for both the Jr.s and the national team, having been thrown into the deep end by Brandon Sonnabend two cycles ago. To be fair, any goalkeeper who can survive getting thrown into the deep end, then the disappointment of last qualifiers, the high-offense clash against St Trinians in the Cup of Harmony, and the anemic showing in the shootout versus Darmen, and remain as unmoving as ever probably deserves whatever job he wants.

I'm not the actual manager, just an assistant, but I've got a World Cup campaign to think about next year, and if you want to look for people actually entering tournaments, you could perhaps summon Mr. Forsythe and Ms. Ettrick, who are far younger and more capable than me at-"
Tyrrel Gulliver stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed that, sitting aside from where he'd made his grandiose entrance, was indeed Kylian Forsyth and Kristie Ettrick, head managers of Mertagne's U18 and U21 teams respectively. They looked at Gulliver, morose, and eyed the large leather-backed chair that sat behind the desk of Michelle Romanage, head of the FMF. Sat within it was the woman herself, stocky with clipped black hair as dark as the bags under Tyrrel's eyes at this time of morning.
"Good morning Phil." she beamed a smile at the national team manager with such pearly whites that he almost winced out of blindness. "How was your weekend? I've got some news for you, so sit down."
Gulliver begrudgingly took a seat. "Could you just out with it please? I know you're really one to mince words, and I haven't had a cup of coffee yet."
"Oh, that can be arranged." Romanage pushed a button on a overly complicated looking phone. "Yes, it's me. Hi! Yes, I'm good thanks. Oh, glad to hear it. If you please, could you bring in some hot drinks for this meeting? Yes, he did actually, how did you guess? Excellent, thank you."
Romanage produced a large red and gold envelope from her desk, bearing the slick crest of the Eagle's Club on it. She slapped it down on the desk and pushed it over to the three managers. The reflective gold surface cast a small glow across their eyes, like a briefcase of unknown contents in the hands of two mobsters.
"Is this from Eelandii itself? It's literally been a lifetime..."
Ms. Romanage clapped her hands together. "Thought you'd be interested. Your grandfather played in the last one, didn't he?"
Gulliver smiled. "And he would have scored the winning goal, too. Came on nearly right at the end, so he told me, and if hadn't been for, and I quote - 'That bloody brigand Ballard'. For twenty odd years, he used to say 'Nephara knew what they were doing sending heron in goal. I was smashing them past Coleman in Eura for years before that. Coleman and me on the pitch, he would have crumbled'."
Kylian Forsyth leaned forward in his chair. "I saw that game on the archive footage. It really was a bit of a nail in the coffin for the old team, wasn't it? I think that Eagle's Cup final might have been one of our most important games."
Romanage slipped a palm under her chin and rested her elbow on the desk. "But to the Nepharans, it was probably just a Saturday night, right? A speck on their illustrious history. What you wouldn't give to reignite that rivalry, and maybe get a bit of revenge for ol' grandpappy? Eh?"

"Kind of. It's not that Phil isn't doing a good job, but... Let's just say the key talent is in the room. I think Phil would do brilliant work elsewhere, and I've made the required arrangements to place him where he'd be most effective." Romanage made a hand gesture that looked like balancing scales.
"And what did you need us for, then?" asked Ettrick.
"I'm technically not allowed to make these decisions on my own, as much as I'd like to. But if I can say that you were happy, then I could push it through before this-" she wiggled the envelope in their faces, "-starts up and I get those hungry hungry hippos over at Ekitaldia asking me what the hell I've done appointing a 53 year old man who's got three generations of football experience as the manager for our Senior national team."
"... Yeah, they would still get uppity about that. You know what they're like." muttered Kylian.
Michelle Romanage shot a beady eye towards Kylian and Kristie. She grimaced a little. "...Aaaaand, they need a new Assistant Manager. I was hoping to pull ranks through our managers first before suggesting we go down through coaching staff, and the like. You know, get someone that's got experience. Kylian, you very recently bought home the U18 World Cup - fancy tackling the national team?"
Forsyth looked shocked and drummed his hands on the desk and took a deep swig of a hot beverage. "Absolutely not. Some of the squad are older than me, and, no offence here, Tyrrel, but I do not like the way you manage. We'd come to blows before our folk step out onto the pitch."
Kristie interjected. "Before you ask, and I know that look in your eye, you were going to- it's a no from me, too. I've got too much to deal with right now. Looks like you'll have to find someone else to assistant manage - or, hell, just swap the roles on Dornell and Gulliver and let Dornell take a side-line for a bit. I'm sure he won't mind, it's not like he's been itching to go since... well, the CAFA, actually."
"That's a good point. It'd stop the journos worrying too, Ms. Romanage." Tyrrel stood up. "I'll take the spot, and I'll do my damned best to get us a rematch against Nephara. I'm not promising a win, but we'll fight as hard as the Union did all those years ago."
Michelle stood up and handed Gulliver the envelope. "That's all I wanted to hear. Well, there's only one thing left to say -- go get 'em."
As Gulliver went to step out of the door, he turned. With a quizzical look on his face, he asked: "How did you get this, anyway? I thought we weren't eligible for the Eagle's Cup?"
Romanage beamed that blinding smile again. "It's a long story, actually - such a convoluted one, it might make it into a book someday. Tell you what, I'll tell you the whole thing in all it's interesting detail the night before you play The Kytler Peninsulae."
"The Kytler Peninsulae? What year is it?"

*Anaia Tower itself predates the famous region of the same name, and was constructed as the headquarters of the FMF while it was part of the Confederation Of Calanian And North East Football Associations (COCANEFA).

The Federation of Mertagnian Football Presents...

The Mertagnian National Football Team
for the Eagle's Cup XI

Mertagne, successor state to the Calanian Union, is back for it's first Eagle's Cup in six editions. After a long and convoluted story in which the Calanian Union's inital invitation to Eagle's Cup VI was found in the depths of the Cop Limy Stadium and accepted, by accident, to the Eagle's Club (and understood as an application). The FMF has denied this was the case, and the official line is that as part of their international outreach following their period of Insulation, they put together a very careful application and will be fielding their best team to compete at this, the most illustrious of competitions.

Our History:

Mertagne is a large and proud nation that sits in the Anaia region between Starblaydia and Krytenia, some of football's greats. Mertagne doesn't claim to stand on that podium that other Bekkside nations do so well (yet), but the hopes and dreams of the nation are such that they may get a spot in the illustrious Eagle's Club.

Mertagne was historically a part of the Calanian Union before its dissolution, which was awarded the silver medal in Eagle's Cup V, losing to Nephara 2-1 in the final match after a run that was the zenith of a golden age of Calanian football. Even with all of the momentum, they were unable to beat a Nepharan team that, frankly, did deserve it, but that fact did little to take the sting out of the defeat, and it does little now. Two nations that were on the up-and-up within a cycle of each other, vyed in a critical match, and set the stage for the next several cycles. Of course, for the opponents, it was just a footnote on their ladder to success.

This time around, Mertagne aim to make this the first chapter of a meteoric rise. Of course, now that we've said it, we'll crash out in the group stage.

Our Key(lime) Staff:

Manager: Tyrrel Gulliver, 55,

Grandson of Calanian Union forward Phil Gulliver, Tyrrel Gulliver has seen the beautiful game in his home country die before him, despite his best attempts to keep it alive at a local level during The Insulation. Piloting the team around Legalese for CAFA 1 didn't seem to dampen his spirits, however, and a timely promotion has set him up to lead the Mertagnian team into the Eagle's Cup with a cheery disposition and lofty aspirations.

Assistant Manager: Phil Dornell, 68,

Phil Dornell saw out most of the Insulation from comfortable Audioslavia, where he spent a portion of his domestic career as goalkeeper for Tenth Star Hasiera. Before that, he had a solid run at Utica United in Osarius, and therefore over his long career he's seen the continuation of the game in other nations while the Mertagnian game has crumbled. He was the best logical choice for team manager after the FMF was reborn, but after a bad CAFA 1 performance (which saw many multiversal giants die in the graveyard that was the group stage), he's understood that his time as caretaker manager is coming to an end, and there are those in the wings that are more hungry for the leadership position.

Tyrell Gulliver bites the ball off like his father and grandfather before him, as the latter cut his teeth at Ulsa, Eura. Because of this, the squad will be playing with a style modifier of +3, which emphasises that the best defence is a killer offence. Especially against Ko-oren.

Players are selected before the game begins depending on their performance in recent games. Typically, a player closer to the top of the chart within each position is more likely to be picked. This outfit of the Mertagnian National team will be playing in a 2-3-5 formation, that presses on the attack and is punishing if the ball is won in the attacking third. This team is also very capabale of scoring from set pieces, and if an attack isn't looking feasible against a more defensively minded team, the players will be looking to create opportunities to get corners or free kicks.

Our Home:

Mertagne's Stadium of choice for this tournament is the Neorudo Cop Limy Stadium (Capacity: 96,300). The Cop Limy is an iconic stadium, formerly belonging to the city-state of Leorudo in which Mertagne was first settled long after their exodus. Home to the original Mertagnian team that is Lehen Neorudo, and situated in the Docklands district adjacent to the mountain that comprises of the sprawling city's 'Old Quarter', The Cop Limy is the premier venue for sports matches and concerts alike in the city. Upgraded several times over the years, the Stadium stands as a stereotype of the city itself - old architecture (present in the fancy stonework adorning the stadium's left long side) fused with the latest buildings (a white carbon fiber donut covering the other three sides). The stadium boasts the best in electronic scoreboard technology, and has a long strip of interactive screens surrounding the top rafters of the interior, which have been used for purposes such as advertising, light shows, and close-up camera feeds.
Located in the stadium complex is a museum dedicated to Mertagnian football, which includes the preserved former offices of the FMF, including the very boardroom where the COCANEFA LigAnaia was born.

22- ARMOK Hikari
Height: 177cm - Weight: 80kg – Age: 28 years old - Team: Southern AFC

Coming off a successful sixth season with Southern AFC, Armok Hikari has continued to develop rather nicely when compared to his style back at his alma mater, University of Omashu. After the announcement of Zhao Baoli taking off the 2021.2 Campaign to rest and regroup after his disastrous performances in both World Cup 87 and Cup of Harmony 79, it was to be expected to see Armok promoted to starter.

Unlike Zhao and his sniping mid-range clears, Armok tends to favor the long-range kicks out to midpitch so as to clear as much action from the back end as possible. Also, Armok is a much more traditional goalkeeper when compared to the very ball-heavy play styles of the former starter for the Bisons; he firmly believes that his primary goal is to stop balls from getting to the net, and by clearing out the attacking zone quickly, it gives him a chance to set the team up more defensively as he does tend to hand over possession often, but that allows him to focus on the main job of stopping balls and not worrying about diving out of the box and going for more ‘flashy’ plays.

44- HAMADA Roshi
Height: 181cm - Weight: 90kg – Age: 24 years old - Team: Concord Dusk AFC

After signing a three year, ¥15 million contract with Concord Dusk AFC, Hamada Roshi has essentially made it as a goalkeeper in Gyatso-kai. Coming onto Concord Dusk to backup the aging Kjotvi Bar’kad is no easy assignment, however, with most analysts seeing Bar’kad retiring in no more than two years, soon Hamada may see himself starting for the Black & Gold.

A player who developed an odd style in the Fire Nation, Hamada is known for stepping way in front of the net and attempting to use his physique to stop an offensive player before getting to the ball. Many attribute this odd quirk to Hamada and his twin brother Yoshi having grown up playing ice hockey; whereas Roshi would go on to find his love in football, his brother Yoshi continues to attract scouts on the ice at the University of Kyoko in the Fire Nation. Equally adept at his position as a younger Kio’los, the 2021.2 Campaign is now the time to prove to the nation that he is the right player chosen to succeed Zhao.

31- LEE Findao
Height: 191cm - Weight: 94kg – Age: 21 years old - Team: Academy of South Kibago

An incredibly young and underdeveloped player – at least in terms of multi-verse play – Lee Findao took the Avatarian Football world by surprise when it was announced after The Combine that they would be taking the Reserve Position on the National Team ahead of suspected replacement Pao Lishin. Such a surprise that on the day the rosters were set to be announced, Lee had already packed themselves up and was boarding a transport out of the National Sports Complex.

Not the most confident way to start your journey to the AOCAF Cup…

With a collegiate style typical of players his size – wide stance, quick to try and muscle defenders out of the ball, and making saves from deep out of the net – we can only hope that has time goes on, Lee will continue to mature under the tutelage of Nishimura on the National Team.

As had been done under Vhett, Head Coach Tay’haai has instituted a Travelling Corps so as to bring young and upcoming players along with the Bisons to show them what Multiverse Play is all about. Pao Lishin, still a bit bitter about being passed over last World Cup and now for AOCAF, is a surprise to see return on the travelling corps. Last campaign, it was reported that Pao spent most of the practice days away from the other members of the goalkeeping unit; in the weeks leading up to the AOCAF Cup, it is being reported he is talking more with Goalkeeping Coach Nishimura Kenshin.

Tsutsama Yen, is a relative newcomer to the multiverse; having a somewhat average season at UA, he came to the National Team tryouts before World Cup 87 and put up some impressive physical numbers through the Combine, and thus found his way onto the Corps. Showing great promise as a younger player, he signed on with Gaoling Union after graduation and has already begun to cement himself as a strong back-up to franchise keeper Mit Wasan’i

With the promotion of Lee Findao to Reserve, the third spot on the Corps was awarded to Tsunade Kise, a young Mandalorian keeper out of Kyoshi State. At 21-years-of-age, he is set to graduate following this campaign cycle, though it is uncertain where he will wind up. Tsunade has shown a similar style to the former Bison Aki Kio’los, and of the three members of the Travelling Corps, he is the most likely to see promotion.

Left Defenders:
16- TERCAR Shuajo
Height: 180cm - Weight: 84kg – Age: 26 years old - Team: Mando FC

Tercar Shuajo, who signed a four-year contract with Mando FC after graduating from Northern University, has added 8kg to his frame in muscle, yet still retains his speed. A very quick and agile defender, Tercar uses his feet and agility to outmaneuver most other players instead of relying on sheer mass to take away a ball, a tactic he learned from pairing with Itawaku during exhibition games prior to World Cup 86.

Now into his third campaign as starting defender, Tercar is looking to further cement himself into the team. With both Hashimoto Isamiru and Somchai Kikwan both growing older with every passing game, soon it may be time for Tercar to take his speed and agility to the centre of the pitch. Tercar bares the distinction of being one of only two players to score a goal during the last AOCAF – the lone goal against Vilita & Turori on the opening day of the tournament.

Formerly the backup to the Beast of the North, Pam Kai spent five tournaments in the shadow of Itawaku, hoping to one day earn the starting spot from him or to replace him. However, at the tryout camp, it was Tercar Shuajo who shined, and received the Starting Spike from Tay’haai. Following another lackluster season in Senlin, Pam has shown himself to be a perennial backup defender; though this time, he has been kicked out of the limelight by a former classmate and teammate of his from Northern University… One has to wonder how that will play out during the tournament.

26 – Khánh KA’LOMI
Height: 190cm - Weight: 94kg – Age: 22 years old - Team: Island FC

A young Southern Watertribesman who signed a professional contract with Island FC at just 20-years-of-age, Khánh Ka’lomi is already making waves in the Avatarian sports community. With an impressive size for such a young player, many see him as the next Itawaku, and some have already started calling him “The Beast of the South”. In his first season at Island FC, Ka’lomi put up impressive numbers for a defencemen; ending his season with the highest involvement in goals by a defender with 2 goal and 7 assists to go with 6 clean sheets. Given the way the Bisons have been playing in tournaments prior, don’t expect Ka’lomi to find himself sitting in the press box too much, with a late series call-up likely should Pam or Tercar start to tire or fail to produce.

Central Defenders
5- HASHIMOTO Isamiru
Height: 178cm - Weight: 75kg – Age: 35 years old - Team: Ba Sing Se UNITED

One of the most highly-rated player for the Bison defence, Hashimoto Isamiru, or “Hashi” as he is loving called by fans, has shown himself to be a very valuable asset to the team. A strong defensive player who often falls in to a full-back position, Hashimoto has made great strides in improving his passing and marking skills since he was traded to Ba Sing Se UNITED from Keldabe FC after a very disappointing season which saw Kelabe not advance to the playoffs for the first time in five years.

However, as time as worn on, so too as age on Hashimoto. Set to turn 36 during the 2021.3 Campaign, many have been calling for Hashi to step down gracefully and retire. However, in previous interviews over the 2021.1 Campaign, Hashimoto has already said he would not even entertain retirement until he had earned his century-and-half cap for the National Team.

15- UTHAN A’den
Height: 185cm - Weight: 83kg – Age: 24 years old - Team:FC Beijing

A large and physically imposing player, Uthan A’den does not play a very physical game like Auranaq or Hashimoto, but instead proves himself to be one of the fastest players on the team; one who uses that speed to outpace and overtake many of his opponents. Less prove to tackle and trip, and more likely to simply run up from behind and steal the ball mid-dribble, expect to see Uthan engaging opponents closer to the net than you will be comfortable with from previous Bisons campaigns.

Having reached his century mark during the 6-2 win at home against The Juniper Union during World Cup 88 – and also scoring his first multiverse hat trick – Uthan became one of the youngest players to reach the milemark, following in the footsteps of Akiyama Qiangyu and Bralor Kotyc’e to reach a century before 25.

And given his presence, Uthan is expected to play for a very long time.

15- Ganham Ri’om
Height: 175cm - Weight: 70kg – Age: 27 years old - Team: Concord Dusk AFC

Though not as fast as Uthan, Ganham Ri’om is a full-back more focused on the offence, who uses his skill with the ball to often drive the offence from the backfield. Though Ganham can have some minor difficulties when tasked with defence (given that he played his entire career at Hatsu State as a offensive midfielder before switching to defence when drafted), he is a very dedicated player and works hard to improve where he knows there are weakness.

Right Defenders:

3- SOMCHAI Kikwan
Height: 187cm - Weight: 83kg – Age: 33 years old - Team: Itakawai City

While certainly not the oldest player in the defence, Somchai Kikwan does serve as the counterpoint to Uthan’s youthful excitement. Having graduated from Kyoshi State, Somchai is very familiar to the style of play Uthan is used to, and the two of them communicate very well on the side of the field. Very adept at playing the middle of the field, when pushed to the right side, Somchai is quick to adapt and has the endurance and stamina to keep up with the demands.

Having made his multiverse debut in World Cup 85, Somchai has continued to play through a nagging lower body injury. While he has shown signs of improvement – as well as the additional reports of him seeing a Northern Healer for therapy, he continues to play a On-Off schedule; starting one game, resting the next. Many felt he should be taken out of the starting line-up, however, after being the only player to score in four of the Bisons’ five World Cup 86 victories he seems to have garnished a bit of faith from the ASPN team of commentators. Though in World Cup 87, he hit a bit of a dry spell and then during the Cup of Harmony 79 scored three of the team’s eight goals.

23- HUANG Aodhán
Height: 183cm - Weight: 84kg – Age: 27 years old - Team: Makapu ERUPT

With Mi’rez Yiman retiring, Huang Aodhán would find himself moving up on the list of right defenders. Signed onto a Taap-A team right out of college, Huang was quick to mature and found his way onto the Makapu ERUPT three season ago. A quick study, he adapted well to his new team and soon made it to their starting eleven. Huang is a natural athlete, with impressive speed and stamina to match, and we can expect to see that natural athleticism on display as the tournament wears on and fatigue sets into the Starting Eleven.

15 – Tarou ADEEN
Height: 189cm - Weight: 90kg – Age: 23 years old - Team: Royal Flames

With the retirement of a couple of the Bisons’ core defenders, the Travelling Corps has produced another potential feature player in the form of Tarou Adeen. A product of both the Royal Fire Developmental Programs as well as serving under the tutelage of Fujimoto Zhong at Omashu State, Adeen is sure to see his number called in future tournaments. Much like his counterpart on the left, Tay’haai seems to be wanting to bring size into the game; Adeen stands at just under 190cm and weighs a little under 90kg. Combine that size with his speed and vision on the pitch, and you have a defender who can knock an opponent off course and redirect a ball to a forward without even lifting his head from his target. As with others in the lower levels of the team, expect to see Adeen as the tournament progresses.

The Travelling Corps for Defense is all small trio of defenders who are all potential future Bisons.

Kato Zhao Ling, who graduated from Enceri University and signed an entry-level two-year contract with FC She Pass, is coming off his first RPFL All-Star selection and a third-place finish in the 2021.1 Season, having been traded to Enceri FC before the end of his contract and signing on an entry-level single-year bridge pending the conclusion of the 2021.3 Season. Yamato Goro surprised the football world upon graduation, having signed with Ba Sing Se over Itakawai; Yamato is certainly being watched to replace either of the aging defencemen in Hashimoto and Somchai. Zhou Hiroto, who helped Kibago University win their third consecutive Earthen Shield tournament in five years, also is vying for an eventual spot on the national roster after signing an entry-level two-year contract with Concord Dusk AFC.

Defensive Midfielders:

7- TAKAHASHI Hikaru
Height: 178cm - Weight: 76kg – Age: 36 years old - Team: Northern AFC

A strong defensive midfielder. Takahashi Hikaru’s strength lies in his kicks; easily able to send a ball soaring across the pitch with surprising accuracy, Takahashi is known for feeding the ball to the strikers and catching many opposing defences off-guard. He often has great vision, and he is easily able to read the play and can adapt accordingly.

Now, Takahashi has to step into a new role, as the oldest player on the team. With the retirement of so many of his fellow over-30 players, some feel the pressure is on Takahashi to produce more in this upcoming World Cup… or hang up the Number Seven jersey for the last time.

6- MA Haijiang
Height: 187cm - Weight: 85kg – Age: 33 years old - Team: Northern AFC

Head Coach Tay’haai made the unusual selection of having both of his defensive midfielders come from the same team, for reasons most can ascertain. A proven veteran on the pitch, Ma Haijiang complements Takahashi’s strong kicks and accuracy with the speed to overcome most opponents; if he can not strike a ball deep, Takahashi will often send a volley up to Ma who will then run it into the offensive zone before lasering the ball to an open forward. Expect to see either Ma or Takahashi in the assist column for plenty of goals.

Though, now with both players into their 30s, and many calling for younger blood to take the reigns, one has to wonder how much longer the ‘Northern Duo’ will continue to play together… or worse, who will be the first to retire…

17- YOSHIDA Arata
Height: 177cm - Weight: 80kg – Age: 30 years old - Team: Royal Flames

Yoshida Arata is a dedicated player who has worked incredibly hard to make his way to the national team; having spent several months training with one of the greatest Avatarian midfielders to ever play the game, Bralor Kotyc’e. Time spent with Bralor has proven to greatly improve his game, seeing Yoshida climb up the ranks during the Trials for the national team.

Though, Yoshida is not a player you will often notice. He is not one for showboating, and very rarely makes a goal or garnishes an assist. Instead, he focuses his time on the pitch by setting up the offense for a great pass, a decisive tackle that often swings the game’s momentum, or just being able to intercept the ball at the most opportune time. One of the best midfielders in the Southern Conference of the RPFL, Yoshida is sure to see time on the pitch by relieving Takahashi or Ma in the later games of the competition.

Neutral Midfielders:

18- HISAKAWA Si Woo
Height: 183cm - Weight: 84kg – Age: 33 years old - Team: Senlin Timbers

An extremely technical midfielder, Hisakawa Si Woo is not one to shy away from trying for goals. More adept at reading the play and setting up his forwards, Hisakawa is a bit more impatient than one would like, and he posseses the speed and agility to run through a good defence and find the back of the net on occasion. He is also the only player on the Bisons who is currently unsigned; his contract with the Taap-A team Omashu Athletic ended after AOCAF LX, and with nothing really to showcase his worth, Omashu Athletic chose to not sign Hisakawa; a fact that has certainly hurt his morale going into the last World Cup. However, an impressive showing, including four goals at WC 85, saw Hisakawa sign a two-year contract with the Senlin Timbers just days after the completion of the group stage.

Attacking Midfielders:

8- YU Shichiro
Height: 183cm - Weight: 85kg – Age: 28 years old - Team: Keldabe FC

With a very offensive-minded footballing style, Yu Shichiro works as the last link between the midfield and the offence. Much like Hisakawa, Yu has been known to even advance from the midfield to score quite a few key goals in pivotal games, including the 2019.2 Ve’vut Cup winning goal against Concord Dusk AFC. He has a powerful long shot and is exceptional at heading, both of which are aided by his height. However, as skilled as he is in offense, Yu still prefers to pass the ball up to forwards for an assist in a goal as opposed to being the star player.

11- GUANYU Jun
Height: 185cm - Weight: 81kg – Age: 26 years old - Team: Omashu Athletic (Taap-A)
A very creative midfielder, Guanyu Jun is very capable of making plays on the fly; with great vision and quick feet, he often can set up his forwards for a great goal or keep the ball moving through the middle. Though having graduated from Heibai University right after AOCAF, Guanyu, who managed to only appear in a single game during AOCAF, started in the next two World Cups as well as AOCAF 60, before being knocked off his starting position by Yu Shichiro coming into AOCAF 61. Who knows how that will play out, seeing as how many in the sports world see Guanyu as more of a playmaker than Yu and a bit more skilled despite being three years his junior.

14 – Fei’kao SONG
Height: 185cm - Weight: 81kg – Age: 25 years old - Team: FC Mando

Relatively young when compared to his teammates, Fei’kao Song chose to forgo his collegiate career, getting drafted by FC Mando the day before his twentieth birthday. Despite all the fanfare of his first season behind him, Song has not had a promising start to his sophomore season. Given his still-developing skills in midfield, his is seen as a comparatively weak player and often spends more time with the coaching staff than other more-seasoned players. Song, much like Hisakawa, is a technical player by nature whose greatest asset is not in his aim or power, but in the art of dribbling which he uses at every opportunity. While more prone to provide assists on plays as opposed to goals, Song has proven himself through Trials to Tay’haai and earned a spot on the National Team, albeit a reserve position.

Mostly comprised of Water Tribesmen, the Midfield Travelling Corps is a grabbag of talent. From the University of the Northern Tribes come home-grown Inoue Anernerk, who at just like his father, the famed Inoue Kuruk, completed back-to-back double-digit scoring seasons in his last two seasons of college; impressive for a man who is supposed to be on the defensive midfield. From UST, Kal Itowa mirrors the success of Inoue, though a career less filled with goals and more with assists. Penlu Saito, a young player from the developmental Chomain State Academy, hopes to see a professional contract within the year, and with such a great season in the ADFL, you can be sure he will at least entertain some good offers. Out of the University of Kibago, Shao Mi’ka is a relatively quiet player who has had offers from both Gaoling Union and Senlin Timbers. Dik Up’lis rounds out the Travelling Corps, bringing from Omashu State a drive for excellence many teams would love to have, even if it comes with a bit more maturing to be fostered.

This team is all about containing their opponent, letting them make mistakes, and capitalising on those. Let the other guys get impatient, lose the ball, and immediately go for the counter attack. Yes, it's frustrating to play against, but you have to admit that there's a certain beauty to doing this near-flawlessly every single time. The Dragonflies aren't a very physical team, but can match almost every opponent in stamina (not so much power or speed, though. Typically only the wingers are pacy). Instead, they rely on tactics and patience. The team is also good enough to be in possession a lot and dictate the tempo, though they're not always creative enough to break down the opposing defence - for that, the Dragonflies have learned to be very, very good on counterattacks, set pieces, and a few patterns in open play. Given the experience most of these players have, it's hard to come up with something new they've never seen - and then do that well enough to reliably score. In order to beat us, you'll need to bring two or more of the following: power, speed, caution.

The standard for this team. Five defenders, a defensive midfielder-slash-pivot, two wingers, an attacking midfielder-annex-second striker, and a pure finisher up front. Team Cassadaigua- Eagles Cup

Coach- Brittany Byers (51)
With Stephanie Sweeney now serving as the President of CASE, a new manager was needed for the Fillies for the first time since our return. Byers was the logical choice, since she had often been the backup national team manager, anyway. Has coached in the Copa Rushmori on multiple occasions, and was an assistant to Sweeney in World Cup 87. As a player, the ex-defender played in World Cups 78 and 79, and was the captain of those teams. Also led Brattleboro FC to the most recent national championship, but has stepped down from that position to focus on the national team.

Assistant- Matt Villareal (41)- Baker Park
Villareal was the captain of the Baker Park national team in World Cups 80 and 81, helping them qualify in their first ever attempt. The former midfielder has held various coaching jobs within Baker Park and is seen as an up and coming coaching prospect in that nation. He served as the assistant to Byers in the World Cup and will get a taste of Rushmori soccer for at least one tournament.

As anticipated, Brooke Sutter retired from international play. Any doubt as to who the frontrunner was to replace her in the starting lineup was eliminated when Summer Speers was issued Sutter’s old #3 instead of her former #28. This is, overall, a dependable and reliable group with Caitlyn Kaleta providing the biggest physical presence. Not at the level that Lupe Enriquez was, but that’s become a good element of her game.

Are we leading into final World Cup for Rachel Schanke? Head Coach: Tarek Edgeli
After spending 3 seasons being trained in Crosaibi at Marine Coast United, Edgeli made the switch down the coast to the Lonngeylin Coliseum for Season 43. While Strike were unable to win any silverware, Edgeli fit straight into the squad as one of the top performing defenders in the entire league earning instant plaudits and recognition back in Turori. Edgeli would be an ever-present in the Turorian squad earning the role of captain as the team advanced to the World Cup Semi Finals for the first time in the nations history at World Cup 81 in the Free Republics and Banija. After a long absence from regional competition, Edgeli, retired from the Turori National Team, would captain the Vilita and Turori National Team during the 60th AOCAF Competition.

After working with the Vilita & Turori National Team for two campaigns including the Olympic Games, Edgeli took on the role of head coach for the Turori National Team during the Eagle’s Cup XIX Competition and after leading the team to a Bronze Medal in the first attempt, returned to coach the team again during Eagle's Cup X. While Edgeli's Eel's came up just short again, earning their second consecutive Bronze Medal, the performance was enough to convince the Football Association of Turori that Edgeli was their coach of the future; relieving long time coach Klailall Tuirma of the Head Coaching duties by promoting Tuirma to the role as Competition Director of the Football Association of Turori while assigning Edgeli to the role of Turori National Team Manager for the World Cup 88 Cycle. In their first cycle as Head Coach of the Turori National Team, Tarek Edgeli led the Eels to their first World Cup Title.

Derizi was trained in the the goalkeeper program at the Eelandii Academy. While in Eelandii, the Youth Team qualified for the IFCF Youth Cup after finishing as Top Turorian Youth side in the Tropicorp Youth Cup. Performances for the Academy resulted in a contract with Sporta Eelandii Senior Squad but the Senior Squad was relegated from the Declasse automatically triggering a release clause for the young goalkeeping prospect. Instead of staying local, Derizi opted to take their talents to Eura joining Revolutionaries as they look to take their career to the next level overseas. Amatopa’s first internationstatal tournament came with the Vilitan Union at the XIV Olympic Games and the youngster would earn a Gold Medal despite not appearing in any of the matches. It was a different situation during the 50th Di Bradini Cup when Amatopa started in three of Vilita & Turori’s 7 matches in route to the championship. Amatopa would also start the majority of matches for the Turori National Team during Eagle’s Cup X where Turori earned the Bronze Medal. On a Domestic level, Amatopa took over as starting goalkeeper for Revolutionaries at the age of 18 and earned Goalkeeper of the Season Honors during EuraLeague 45 after leading Revolutionaries to the Euraleague Title. Amatopa became a World Cup Champion when Turori defeated The Holy Empire to win World Cup 88. Amatopa led all Turori goalkeepers with seven starts in the Qualifying round as well as having started one match during the World Cup 88 Finals.

Was Vilita & Turori's #1 netminder on the championship winning AOCAF 56 squad and is also an Olympic Gold Medalist with the Vilitan Union during the XI Olympic Games. With the close of their career in sight, An'maude would pull one final trick out of their hat. Mungwaii barely played a full season in Seraii, however, as the Turori National Team strikers potentially was quickly noticed and Jungle Strike FC came calling making Mungwaii the highest transfer in Eastal Lunar history as well. In 15 seasons at Jungle Strike FC, Mungwaii would win the Vilitan Stellar Division Five times, the Vilitan Cup 6 times as well as a pair of Tropical trophies. Mungwaai holds the Strike FC record for most Star-of-Match performances in a single season having been named first star in 12 of Strikes 26 Stellar Division matches during Vilitan League Season 61. Mungwaai is also tied for 5th all time in goals scored for Strike FC along with Friekder Dandaellion. The Turorian is also an Olympic Gold Medalist having been a part of the Vilitan Union Squad at the XI Olympic Games in Aeropag and won the AOCAF 56 Title with Vilita and Turori. After fighting to keep their place in the starting Lineup at Strike FC during Vilitan League Season 62, Mungwaii decided to search for a new challenge and joined Zwangzug side Arlington City, quickly making an impact helping the team to first place and a Taça das Confederações Final victory.

Makakio made their full debut for the Turori National Team at Eagle’s Cup X, starting the opening match against Zwangzug. Makakio would go on to make 6 appearances in the competition but was unable to secure their first international goal at the time. Makakio would play a part in Turori's World Cup 88 Triumph but once again did not find themselves on the scoresheet. It wasn't until Matchday 4 of the 51st Di Bradini Cup that Makakio finally netted their first career goal, scoring the second of two in a 2-0 Group Stage victory over Island of the Lost. Makakio would finally break through with their first goal for the Turori National Team during the Quarter Finals of Eagles Cup XI scoring the game winner against Banija.

Stacie Houston wished she could have been in Hapilopper for the NSSCRA doubleheader, even if she was never going to race. When the schedule came out, Team Cassadaigua had long since been shut down for the year, and Stacie did not look to Team Tropicorp as other Cassadagan drivers did. Maybe if she had not been pregnant, she would have followed Jenna Logan over there, or perhaps looked for an opportunity in another nation, but the decision for her was easy. Staying with husband, Jeremiah Brooke, and assisting Glorious Free Republic Motorsports of Saint Kanye was the easy choice for the beginning portion of the season, but when the due date got closer, she knew she had to be back in Concord Heights.

Watching the dirt race in Hapilopper was pretty tough, because she would have loved the chance to run on it. Stacie did not have much dirt track experience, but was not completely absent of it, either. She saw the wrecks, saw Guillermo Archer flip, and for the moment, she felt sorry for a man that she never really cared for (though they never had an incident between them). Then came the post race comments, and Stacie was quickly reminded why she didn’t like Archer. Soon after that race, Stacie knew her baby boy was coming any day now. She told Jeremiah, and plans were arranged to quickly get him to Concord Heights and perhaps back to Hapilopper City if it came right before the race.

Stacie laid in the hospital, knowing it would be soon. Flipping through the channels of the TV, she didn’t find all that much interesting. One channel was like some travel guide telling visitors to Cassadaigua where they should go. I mean, shouldn’t you already know that? If the program was not talking about the virtues of Concord Heights and Brattleboro throughout, then maybe it would have been useful to provide hidden gems and whatnot, but whatever. Not this program. The next channel was some sort of program talking about some of the best places to eat in Cassadaigua. Sure, that was cool and all, but she was not really looking for restaurant ideas at the moment. The next channel was going on and on about things that have happened since World Cup 88, or the last time that a major sporting event was held in the nation. I mean, that really wasn’t that long ago, was it? Just some World Cup 89 hype show, I guess. Next channel talking about hotel companies, then another talking about Cocoabo Starksville. I guess they are pretty popular, aren’t they?

Jeremiah Brooke arrived to the room, being told that birth was imminent and he needed to get to Concord Heights. He would make it in time when the baby started its engine and decided that it was time. Giving birth is something that Stacie had never done, but now, it was time. Eventually, Jericho Houston-Brooke was born, coming in the middle of the night, with good timing to allow Brooke to get back to Hapilopper. “Go win the race for us!,” was the last thing that she would say to him before he left. Unfortunately, he did not win the race, though got a podium spot in the third position. Stacie did watch the race with the rest of her family in the room the next day.

Among the people to show excitement for the birth of Jericho was soccer superstar, Rachel Schanke, who will return as captain of the national team in the upcoming Eagle’s Cup. “I am so proud of Stacie Houston, of Jeremiah Brooke, and of everyone that is close to them. As a female athlete, I can understand the difficulty in juggling one’s career and the desire to get into motherhood. It is such a tough balance.” Schanke, who is now 32 years of age and just one year younger than Houston, acknowledged that it made her think about her own decisions, “Yeah, I know I want to be there one day, and there is only so much time. There is more time for me, but starting a family is something I am really excited about doing.”

Brought in as replacement for Yue manager Kang Guilin after two cycles of decent football but no forward progress, Igrene Cantor saw immediate success by leading her charges to the Cup of Harmony title, though she was generous in giving Kang much of the credit. Fully in charge of the squad for the first time at the Cup of Rushmori, she was unable to improve on the now habitual Round of 16 exit and thus enters this tournament on very mildly thin ice. That said, Cantor seems to have fitted into the Græntfjaller system fairly well and the squad has responded to her no-nonsense style. Torsten Oliversson has put the “assistant” in “assistant manager” for several cycles and continues to do so, his duties seeming to involve more picking up plastic cones after practice is over and translating Nepharim profanities than actual tactical insight.

Squad: A 23-person squad has been named for the tournament. In past years non-traditional numbers have become increasingly represented among the playing 11. That said, a starting XI will be named before each game, and if not, my opponents have a certain degree of license in choosing the team.

Græntfjaller soccer is gender-mixed and it is seen as uncontroversial for men and women to play alongside each other. -son names are men, -dóttir names women, -bur names gender-neutral. Many players are commonly referred to by their first name rather than their patronymic surnames, but there’s not a totally consistent standard on this.
Græntfjall has not historically sent full-strength sides to the Eagle’s Cup. The EC9 squad was composed entirely of domestic-based players as KG was unable to secure release clauses for players signed abroad; the EC10 squad was composed entirely of women, to atone for the scheduling misalignment that rendered the Baptism of Fire squad entirely composed of men. This time, in a nod to history and to the fact that this is the 24th international football tournament a Græntfjaller team has played in during the modern era, one player from each of those prior 23 squads has been selected. Where possible, and given the demands of picking a workable squad as well as the fact these squads cover a mere 6 to 8 years it has not always been possible, a player who was selected only for that squad has been chosen; as such, this is yet again definitely not a full strength side but does feature some genuine first-teamers.
Historically, Græntfjall was seen as a side short on skill and reliant on physical dominance. While avatars of this tendency – usually referred to as “BFGs” (the ‘b’ stands for ‘big’) – are still represented, there is more all-round skill, pace, and creativity in the line-up now.
Græntfjall did not traditionally appoint a designated captain, and instead had the starting XI elect a captain before each captain, but this tradition has largely been abandoned, with Hjörleifur Reynarsson being named as the permanent captain. If the captain for the next match has not been named you may RP any player as being the captain for the day.
In contrast to their normal kit, the Snow Wolves will once again wear the special kit that debuted at Eagle’s Cup IX. The gold piping then represented their Baptism of Fire victory; this time, it represents their Cup of Harmony win.
Timing note: In my timeline this occurs 2 years after the last Eagle’s Cup and concurrent with the ongoing Baptism of Fire. It occurs about 1 year after the last CR and about 2 years after the last World Cup cycle. My database is starting to drift out of alignment in terms of domestic-to-international cycle, which is the OOC reason for fielding only foreign players while I try to catch up my domestics. As such, take the ages with a massive grain(t) of salt.

He’s actually stayed in good shape and presumably the hope is he can be the third choice keeper and not be needed, but it would be a golden moment for Sausages fans if he did finally that elusive cap.

This one is a stretch as Christian has featured on many squads, but has never been able to hold down the #1 jersey. For that tenuous reason, he’s the representative from this era where there are no real one-tournament wonders to choose from.

Paulina was long championed by her GPL club, Maigburg, as the best right-back in the country. She has a penchant for spectacular long range goals that make her a regular feature of highlights reels. It’s the day to day work of defensive solidity she struggles at, though, which is why she’s been largely passed over for selection.

A 6’6” center back, Svanhólmsson’s lack of mobility has held him back compared to the likes of Stefan Jokulsson in pressing for high honors, but he’s capable of delivering a massive long ball, thumping head, and bruising tackle, all without breaking a sweat. Tying his own laces proves more of a challenge.

Theo has the ignominy of being the only member of the first ever Snow Wolves squad never to actually earn a cap for them, at that tournament or any other. He was once Amanda Guttisdóttir’s teammate at Kuodorf but when they were relegated she sensibly moved overseas, while he stayed to help them fight their way back from relegation. … any day now. A big, tall unit, he’s a footballer best described as utterly uncomplicated.

BFG writ large, Persson is a bit of an outlier in that he’s had an excellent domestic career in one of the top leagues in the world but has never been remotely considered for international selection. Once seen as a promising young defender who could play left back and center back, Ísidór drifted out of contention as wing backs with better pace and center backs with better size proved that specialization trumped versatility. Until he helped the Þings win promotion to the GPL his chances of higher national honors were slim but his performance, with prodigious heading ability and excellent fitness, have started to win him better notes.

Michelle has definitely been on other squads but the WC87 roster had no real slim pickings: it was the last gasp of the 23-person qualifying squad. Michelle is more of a true wing back and can be defensively suspect on occasion.

A left sided midfielder who likes to cut inside, on his day he still looks world class. The other 364 days, he just looks rather lost.

A big target man better at holding up play than finishing off moves.

Long considered the greatest Græntfjaller never to play for the national team, former GPL MVP and Gold Boot, the Steinaux career striker has been called up as an unexpected replacement for the injured Ebbe. A devout Catholic, a family man (before his public humiliation at the hands of the man he will now play beside), gentleman of the game, and a great scorer when fit, his call-up is the biggest shock in Græntfjaller footballing history.

Soccer is a summer sport in Græntfjall, which is a wintry, alpine nation with (given its Rushmori location in the temperate zone) an inexplicably harsh climate. Given the timing of this Cup, all ‘home’ games are once again played at the National High Performance Sports Center. This obviates any home advantage and may in fact disadvantage Græntfjaller players who have previously struggled in tropical conditions, but there is a clear secondary aim of gaining experience in the conditions, which are likely to be hot and humid, but not unbearably so.

The NHPSC is a large multi-sports complex featuring training areas for almost every Olympic and other major sport that Græntfjall competes in. Built prior to the last Cup, it has a football stadium with a projected capacity of 50,000: at present, though, only about half that will be made available for use on match-day as work continues on some stands. In order to meet the minimum requirement of 30,000 [whether or not this requirement exists in NS, we will be roleplaying it as doing so] additional seating will be provided through temporary structures. In most respects the stadium is ‘complete’ and up to full international standards, with the exception of limited corporate hospitality availability.

The NHPSC is based in Græntfjaller Multinesia, the largest constituent island of the Græntfjaller South Indies. Where these lie is somewhat confusing as those consulting the Rushmori regional map will find no reference to them: they certainly exist though and lie in tropical oceans far to the south east/west/up/down/strange/charm/other of the Græntfjaller mainland.

The Græntfjaller South Indies were the only major colonial possession of the Queendom captured during the Age of Piracy. During the 20th century, Græntfjall fell under communist rule and the islands were granted independence, an unfortunate oversight which was quickly corrected in the immediate post-communist era, welcoming the islanders back under the benevolent and wise rule of the mainland, which has brought them many modern amenities such as industrial strip-mining of the landscape, while employment opportunities abound in the sweatshops of the Export Processing Zones that, free from international labor regulations, are veritable hives of industry churning out produce for the Græntfjaller and international markets nearly round-the-clock! Many natural beauty spots have been preserved, however, most of them now playing home to luxury vacation resorts, private residences, and golf courses.

There is a naval base, multiple air strips, and a full marine battalion, on the islands, and a heavily military presence is noticeable. There are some restricted areas where photography is not permitted and some areas of the islands are completely off-limits. Have no fear, though, security is assured, and terrorist groups such as the savage “Multinesian Human Rights Council” and “Indigenous People’s Clean Water Defence Fund” are being firmly policed to prevent any rogue action such as passing on documentation of the pollution of their tribal homelands.

- Idi Mboge is easily the most controversial selection on this team. An excellent central midfielder, people dubbed him as one of Banija's next great central midfielders. He made the U21 national team at DBC 47. However, while born to two Banijan parents, he was born and raised in Maal, which was the capitol city of Mriin. Once Mriin started putting humans on their team, he switched allegiance from his country of origin to his country of birth. But he did this at DBC 47- in the middle of a major tournament.

Mboge's move stunned the world, naturally, especially considering the timing. But the timing was not on his side- Mriin ended up withdrawing from international sports entirely. He then reluctantly changed his allegiance back to Banija. The Cup of Harmony 79 winner has functionally been blacklisted from Banijan NTs ever since, although he is certainly good enough to play for the senior side. With the memory of him switching NTs at a major tournament growing distant, the manager brought him on to the U23 squad as an overage player for the Olympics. After an early elimination in Bunjil, he's back as a member of the senior national team, trying to make his way onto the "A squad" for World Cup Qualifiers.

After winning the Eagle's Cup the edition before last, a construction of a site was put to the task and it was decided to be placed in Sabinal in the subcontinent that housed the island with the east part of the Empire of Sabine and Caddonia. Sabinal is the de facto capital of the nation, which original was a pair of nations before their collapse and the Vanorian peacekeepers moved in. Over time these regions became known in the local tongue as Sabine and Caddonia, each with their respective regional capitals of Sabinal and Caddo for which the respective regions were named after. Unlike the more temperate mainland of the Eternal Empire in Vanorian Arrosia and its outlying islands, including the quite well known island states of Capri and Vyinta, Sabine and Caddonia is a more arid tropical climate. It is here where the visitors from the foreign lands will be visiting when they come to watch their teams take on the Vanorian team in this Eagle's Cup, with the construction of the stadium being completed just after the turn of the year, with an expanded capacity of thirty thousand from its normal near twenty thousand for the event.

In Sabine and Caddonia, there is a different cuisine compared to that of the mainland, which has a lot of breads, wines, and fish in its diet. That is not the case in Sabine and Caddonia, where there is more meat with large ranches spotted throughout its countryside to provide the required cattle to provide the more meat based diet. Spices are often found in most native places to eat, though in popular tourist spots they are pulled back as tourists have complained about feeling a bit sick afterwards from the usual amount of spice in native Sabine cuisine. Mead is also far more popular than win in Sabine and Caddonia, as there are few places on the island that would provide good vineyards when compared to the mainland of the Empire, although wheat is easily grown, as is corn, cotton, and a handful of other cash crops. There are some citrus orchards in parts of the island that receive more rainfall, so there is also a good amount of fruits ate with meals or as snacks between meals to add a bit of sweetness to the native cuisine of the island.

For those looking for the best tourist spot to visit outside of the two regional capitals, the best place would most definitely be the only real metropolis area of the island and that is Bexar. Located on the coast as well as one of the major rivers that runs into the northeast coast, Bexar is a fairly large city that is known for its artistic culture as well as sporting one. There are two theatres where plays are routinely played out, several different concert halls for the various different musical acts to perform, three different musuems with one dealing with the region of the island, one of the Empire, and then one with Atlantian Oceania as a whole. There are a handful of different sporting clubs across the city, though the largest is Club Atlético Bexar, who currently plays in the second tier of the Vanorian domestic pyramid for football, while Río CF plays in the fourth tier, the last professional tier of the sport in the Eternal Empire. There is plenty of different waterparks as well as beaches for the more sporting and recreation going types to enjoy, making Bexar a very diverse and interesting tourist sport for just about anyone.

Milake kept a series of clean sheets that kept Eastal Lunar in the top half of the table for the majority of the season and still mathematically in the hunt for promotion entering the final matchday. The 1-0 victory over Akisa Surta combined with a Turoki Isle draw propelled Eastal Lunar into the top two and ensured that the young Milake would be thrust into action against some of the top players in the world as a Stellar Division goalkeeper for V-League Season 42. It wasn't at Eastal Lunar that Milake would make a name for himself, however. The young Vilitan goalkeeper opened his International Career with four-consecutive clean sheet performances and earned a place as a reserve player on the World Cup 67 World XI team. The performances for the National Team would earn Milake a transfer to Lonngeylin Coast after Eastal Lunar's Season 42 relegation. World Cup 68 Would be a coming out part for Milake who was in goal for the Jungle Cats as they lifted the World Cup Trophy for the first time in 48 editions with a 4-2 win over the Free Republics, making Milake one of the youngest starting netminders to win the World Cup. After Almintora’s relegation to the Declasse, Rokopolis jumped ship to return to Vilita and join forces with Jlinal Cove FC, the side that had pipped FC Almintora to avoid relegation. With Jlinal Cove, Rokopolis helped lead the team to the Vilitan Cup Semi-Finals and scored their first career Stellar Division goal against the Kionao Locals. Rokopolis would get the call to the Vilitan National Team during the World Cup 87 Qualification Campaign and would make their debut against Tequilo. Rokopolis scored their first career goal for the National Team in just their second career appearance, netting the fifth goal in a 5-2 rout of Widaya. Earned first international silverware as a member of the Vilita and Turori Under-21 Squad that would win the 50th Di Bradini Cup Title.

After the success of the Cocoabo Squad during World Cup 79 however, the highly touted prospect acceped an invitation to be apart of Vilita's World Cup 80 Qualifying playing pool. The decision would prove to be a good one as Katarakhna was part of Vilita’s World Cup 81 and World Cup 82 championship squads including their first career World Cup Finals goal during the World Cup 82 Quarter Final against Apox. On the domestic side, Katarakhna was a critical member of the squad that elevated Eastal Lunar to complete domestic trifecta over the course of 3 seasons winning the Vilitan Cup during Season 59, the Tropical Trophy for Season 60 and the teams first ever Stellar Division Title during Vilitan League Season 61.

Kuhilana would help the Makos re-build and compete in the Declasse Division, ultimately leading to their runner up finish during Vilitan League Season 64 and a return to the Top Flight. Kuhilana would be second-top scorer in the Declasse during the promotion season but would not join the Makos for their Stellar return, switching allegiances instead to Tropicorp FC after impressing the Tropicoast side during the Declasse campaign.

The arrival of younger talent in Nuola Brenzil and Nii'arala Milaaso during Season 56 however encouraged Tzufarei to seek a new challenge, landing in the Declasse with Rammsissil and becoming the Golden Boot winner while propelling the Ramms to the Declasse Title. Tzufarei re-claimed the Vilitan Stellar Division's Golden Boot award during Season 57 helping Rammsissil to a 5th place finish in the table. The long-time Vilita National Team striker secured their post-career statue at SissilBank by lifting the club to their first ever major Silverware in the 63rd Vilitan Cup Final. Selection of postcards demonstrating some of the changes that have happened over the last four years.

This postcard from Græntfjaller Multinesia shows the crystal blue waters, white sand beaches, and absence of icy winds that first drew Græntfjaller explorers to the islands. Though the correspondent here is none too impressed, the evidence of environmental regeneration in Græntfjaller Multinesia shows the change in priorities now the Left-slate and Progressive Liberals are in government; four years ago, the Blue-Greens were much more hostile to ecological concerns. There has been talk of a Lake Viljan restoration project with multiple stakeholders across the increasingly integrated Pavolan sub-region. Some things don’t change: note the Tikariot-Græntfjall postal union stamp, still going strong.

This postcard shows the newly rebuilt Altendalur shoreline, and (to judge by the rainbow flag between the Græntfjaller and Rushmori flags) was taken during Pride Week. This postcard to Nova Anglicana seems like a standard experience in Græntfjall’s main port city. But it does contain some revealing hints. The acceleration of climate change is noteworthy: even four years ago, braving the Græntfjaller beaches even in summer was a test for only the hardiest bathers; now they are crowded holiday hangouts. And the reference to sailors being home points to the return of much of the Fleet from Montaña Verde, as the current government unwinds many of the previous government’s foreign entanglements.

Of course there has not been that much and snowy cityscapes (here, of Folte) are to be expected. But this postcard does contain two more examples of big changes in Græntfjaller culture. The difficulty of growing vegetables, need for a high fat diet to cope with the heavy winter, and cultural antipathy, all meant vegetarianism was not popular even four years ago. But increasing availability of cheap greens, grown hydroponically by companies like NovaGrænt and Fertifjall, combined with big cultural shifts, have seen the popularity of vegetarian and even vegan cuisine explode. Even a relatively provincial city like Folte is today home to many vegetarian eateries, including the popular chain store Túnbýli Kitchens. The second difference? That it is being sent to Bollonich. The two countries have only recently reestablished diplomatic relations and permitted reciprocal tourist visas.

The Island Emirate of Turori has four main zones as part of is primary inhabited areas. The majority of Turori's Population resides on the south eastern portion of Turori's main Island. This includes the Capital City of Almintora, the surrounding capital region including Cednia and the purpose built sportropolis of Eelandii as well as on the Northern shore the city of Kionao. While Almintora is still the largest city in the Island Emirate, Cednia and its associate Beach life at the southern tip of Turori's main Island have become one of its most popular for entertainment as well as holiday style tourism. Outside of this, the large portion of Turori's remaining population are in the Mliona region of Turori's smaller Island, where folks who want to be detached from the hustle bustle of the Capital City life tend to reside.

Directly between Almintora and Cednia Beach sits Eelandii, a purpose built "Sportropolis" built midway between Turori's two largest cities, Almintora and Cednia. Eelandii itself is not a town or a city but a purpose-designated that initially consisting of just Eel's park - itself a state of the art sporting complex for football and athletics, the campus at Eelandii was quickly expanded to include the offices of the Football Association of Turori and a permanent training facility for the Turori National Team. 90% of Turori's Top Tier international talent spends time at the Eelandii Academy at some point in their development. This is also where Eagle's Cup XI and the Cup of Champions will kick off with a unique match featuring the Turori National Team against the Vilitan Union - often also referred simply as Vilita & Turori in a match some have quipped features Turori against itself. Really, however, it is a story of two sides with minimal overlap as the reigning World Cup Champions take on a side comprised of a number of the squad members from the most recent Under-21 and Olympic Champions.

Eelandii, Turori

Location :: The Eagle's Club is located in the purpose built city of Eelandii, midway between the Turorian cities of Almintora and Cednia.

Capacity :: 8,000 + Add'l Temporary Seating

Stadium History :: Although Turori were champions of Eagle's Cup III, the purpose built Eagle's Club facility in Eelandii was not constructed until just prior to Eagle's Cup V. Prior to this, Almintora National Stadium in Almintora was Turori's designated Eagle's facility.

The main pitch at the Eagle's Club has only one permanent grand stand which sits directly over the facility entrance at the south end of the stadium behind the goal with a capacity of about 8,000. The main pitch is available as a practice facility for any Eagle's Club member, permanent or cyclic honorary members, when visiting Atlantian Oceania or Turori whether they are contesting an International Match or just holding a tour practice. There are additional pitches and sport facilities on the complex accessible only to Eagle's Club members. Additionally, all facilities in the purpose built sporting hub of Eelandii are available to Eagle's Club members on a first-come first-serve basis.

During Eagle's Cup events, temporary grandstands are constructed along the two long sides of the pitch supporting between 20-45,000 additional fans. The temporary grand stands are physically separated from the pitch by a Brick promenade covered in vine overgrowth.

The most important event held at the Eagle's Club is the Champions Ceremony. While the Eagle's Cup Final is typically held off-site to encourage larger attendance numbers, the final contestants return to the Eagle's Club to receive their medals. Prior to the medal ceremony, a third place match is held to determine which nation will receive the bronze medals. For logistical purposes, the Third Place Playoff match goes straight to penalty kicks if tied after 90 minutes, ensuring the medal ceremony is not delayed. This scheduling detail also makes the Eagle's Cup unique in that the third place playoff match takes place after the competition final.

Primary Tenants :: All members of the Eagle's Club are the primary tenants at the Eagle's Club main pitch. The expanded-seating capacity Eagle's Club venue is used only for Eagle's Club knockout round matches or matches between two Eagle's Club members.

Cednia, Turori

Location :: Cednia is the Vacation Center of the Island Emirate boasting the best Coastlines, nightlife and business opportunities within Turori in a sprawling coastal city.

Capacity :: 103,000

Stadium :: The Cednia Beach Center is one of the purest examples of capitalism and expansion in the Vilitan Leagues. Originally a modest plot for a modest team, the stadium has risen along with the rise of the club. Now, a world class stadium capacity wise, there are concessions that were made. The training grounds outside the center are second rate, and parking is virtually non-existent at the complex. Public transportation - including your own two feet, would be required for fans to access the stadium. Thats alright though, plenty of lodging surrounds the local area within walking distance.

The Cednia Beach Center has been home to International competitions for many seasons including the Cup of Harmony 53 Final contested between Darmen and New Montreal States. New Montreal States ran out 4-2 winners on the day in what was an otherwise quiet and successful day at the park for fans attending at the Cednia Beach Center, showcasing the ability for Cednia to host the marquee matchups of International Sport despite the close confines of the stadium with its Cednia surroundings. Just two cycles later, the Cednia Beach Center would be home to one of the the most talked about World Cup Finals of its era, when Atlantian Oceania powerhouse Starblaydia in search of their record 6th World Cup took on an Audioslavia side that had made more World Cup Finals without ever winning than any other nation. In that game, Audioslavia finally prevailed to earn their first World Cup title while Starblaydia still seeks that elusive 6th title.

Almintora, Turori

Location :: Almintora National Stadium is located in Almintora, Turori. Almintora is the capital city of the Island Emirate of Turori and has been the capital ever since the time of Turorian independance.

Capacity :: 79,000 (All Seated)

Stadium History :: The Almintora National Stadium served as the home of the Football Association of Turori and the Turori National team from their entrance onto the international competition scene prior to World Cup 15 until the Football Association relocated their headquarters to the purpose built Eels Park community in Eelandii, Turori.

The Almintora National Stadium was originally constructed as a 45,000 seat stadium for use by the National Team during World Cup 15 and World Cup 16 qualification. However, when it became evident that Turori's nearby neighbors, the Tropics of Vilita, were being considered as the potential hosts of World Cup 17, the Football Association of Turori strategically aligned itself with their former colonial lands in order to ensure that of the 8 stadia selected for the World Cup Finals, one would be from Turori. Naturally, the Almintora National Stadium was the stadium of choice and would serve as the first time the Island Emirate of Turori would open its doors to a major international event. With a lot on the line, the Turorian government partnered with the Football Association of Turori to increase the capacity of the Almintora National Stadium from 45,000 to 79,000 in time for the World Cup 17 finals.

The move was proven even more fruitful when the Turori Eels themselves qualified for the World Cup 17 finals, the first finals appearance for Turori, and were able to play each of their group stage matches at their home stadium.

With the success of hosting one group of the World Cup 17 finals at the Almintora National Stadium, Turori had put itself on the map. Soon after it would be announced that the Island Emirate of Turori would host World Cup 19 in a joint bid with The Belmore Family. Naturally, the crown jewel of Turorian stadiums, the Almintora National would ultimately host the World Cup Final - the single most prestigious match in the multiverse.

Unfortunately for the Almintora National Stadium, hosting the World Cup 19 final was something of a 'peak' over the course of the stadiums lifespan. Co-sharing the arena between the Turori National Team and Turorian domestic side FC Almintora accelerated the wear, tear and aging within the facility. To make matters worse, the mediocre performance of FC Almintora in the domestic league meant that incentive to invest in further rennovation of the arena was minimal. The stadium would still be chosen to host the final of the 26th Cup of Harmony, but even by that time the Cednia Beach Center in Cednia had started to become the premier sporting facility on the Island. In fact, even the Cup of Harmony 26 final was originally awarded to the newly built Coliseum of the Inurahtii in the Inura Forest, however, the Safety & Health Initiative of Turori determined that the site would not be ready in time to host spectators, with the Final site being retroactively chosen as the Almintora National Stadium due to its experience having hosted the World Cup 19 final.

Despite having been supplanted as Turori's international stadium of choice, the Almintora National Stadium has accrued one honor that no other stadium in Turori - or in Vilita, can lay claim. Almintora National Stadium is the only stadium in Vilita & Turori to have been selected as a host site for the UICA Globe Cup, having been home to the 55th Globe Cup final. Almintora National Stadium also hosted the 66th UICA Champions Cup Final.

Primary Tenants :: FC Almintora currently compete in the Vilitan Declasse Division. The Turori National Team continue to play occasional matches at the arena during World Cup Qualifying due to the arenas central location in Almintora, the capital city of Turori.
