The Starblaydia national football team will tell you more about the team, their style, culture, fans, and history than I can ever write in a simple roster post. Thanks.

Starblaydia's Under-21 history is a very long one, but the statistic of just two titles in their history shows it's not quite as noble and glorious as one might expect from a country that has managed to win more major championships than any other at senior level. As passionate and as fervent as Starblaydia supporters are, the Under-21 side simply hasn't drawn the numbers as even the Under-18 side have managed, with the younger side being much more successful in recent editions.

Staff
AF. Ázëwyn Fëanáro*, Manager, 4,082
270 Caps, 71 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Fëanáro scored the winner in the 47th Final against Valanora, denying them a title on their own turf and lifting Starblaydia to the mantle of all-time greatest team. Known for her excellent attacking play, range of passing and great eye for goal that lifts her to second in the all-time goalscorers list too, by virtue of a nearly 1-in-4 ratio, Ázëwyn Fëanáro is a symbol of grace, power and beauty from Starblaydia's golden age, some hundred and twenty-five years ago when the Cup was in its 40s. It is these qualities that the SFA managed to recapture with Fëanáro at the helm for the 78th World Cup Qualifiers, bringing her trademark poise and piercing yell to the touchlines after more than a decade of national failures. Considered to be by far the most successful and beloved manager in Starblaydia's recent history, and at this point may well be the manager for eternity.

AC. Aaron Cole, Assistant Manager, 53
92 Caps, 54 Goals (7 Caps, 4 Goals at Under-21 level)
The first person to break into the Starblaydi all-time top ten goalscorers in literally generations, Cole had the dubious honour of being the man to finally knock Simeone Di Bradini off out of that same list. His excellent footballing brain, aggression levels, tactical nous and all-round Audioslavian/Brenecian level of shithousery made him a uniquely successful striker in a nation more used to smooth flying strikers and hulking target men. These are the qualities he will try to bring to the national team on a much grander scale.

MARAMAA NATIONAL TEAM - U21

Style Mod: 0

Mr. Bertie Mills, president of the Maramaa´s Association Football Federation (MAFF) is proud to introduce you the squad that will be representing Maramaa in its very first Di Bradini Cup. The team is a selection of
Maramaa´s most talented players some of them coming from the recently created Division of Honor -Tier 1 in Maramaa´s system of 3 tiers- whilst other playing in the First Division or the Youth league Under 21.

Maramaa´s U21-Football National Team trainer is the 41 y/o Eduardo Carofiglio. Carofiglio was a discrete player in his youth but had a successful career as a club trainer, having experienced the sweet smell of success in several occasions at the helm of Maragrad FC, when the league was still an amateur competition. Carofiglio´s assistant manager is the 54 y/o Dominique Walter; and his defensive coach, John Brickwall (34). The coach has stamped a balanced game style in the team and likes to begin most of the attacking actions from behind, always trusting in the extraordinary skills of his central back defenders pair, Kullervo Pesonen and Ivan Morais, both of them important players in the Maramaa´s Division of Honor first campions, Shynik FC

MAIN PLAYERS

Defenders
To the aforementioned Pesonen and Morais, we have to add Patricio Pereira, a very safe keeper outstanding with his blocking abilities and foot play.

Midfielders
We recommend to keep a close eye on Antto Hämälainen. A young talent with an extraordinary shot from outside the box.

Strikers
The 19 y/o Sibel Pipa has a great talent an he will probably play a huge role for his club team in the forthcoming second season of the Division of honor

Team Cassadaigua- Di Bradini Cup 51

Coach- Brittany Byers (51)
With Stephanie Sweeney now serving as the President of CASE, a new manager was needed for the Fillies in the World Cup for the first time since our return. Byers was the logical choice, since she had often been the backup national team manager, anyway. Has coached in the Copa Rushmori on multiple occasions, and was an assistant to Sweeney in World Cup 87. As a player, the ex-defender played in World Cups 78 and 79, and was the captain of those teams. Also led Brattleboro FC to the most recent national championship, but has stepped down from that position to focus on the national team. Managed the World Cup side for the first time in 88, but has more experience with the Di Bradini side.

22 ST Galib Terzic 19 Atletik Thessia
23 GK Anton Puzin 21 Blades ex Magnaeus [EOT]

PLAYER INFORMATION
GK: Semir Besak, 21, Mipojoseon [QUE]
Back-to-back domestic Golden Glove awards are only a small part of Besak's impressive honours list at the age of 21. He was the starting goalkeeper in the Olympic Thessia team which won the club its first ever league title as a 16 year old and he has finished second in the running for the Under-23 Player of the Season award on two occasions as well. Besak can do a bit of everything, he's a brave shot-stopper and uses his height to good effect when coming out to claim high balls and crosses with confidence. The part of his game he may need to work on is his distribution, but that should come with time, he has a very bright future ahead of him. His potential has caught the eyes of overseas clubs and this has led to an NSD 4.5 million move to Quebecois side Mipojoseon. Brought in to captain the under-21s at one final DBC having already made 8 appearances for the senior national side.

GK: Samuil Kashuba, 21, NK Dyka [MYT]
Kashuba might have tasted relegation with NK Dyka last season but he was part of the reason why they managed to fight on for so long. The young goalkeeper joined the club from Partizan for NSD 300,000 and Kashuba helped NK Dyka have the least goals conceded of any team in the bottom six, their main issues came at the other end of the pitch. Kashuba is a decent shot-stopper and his distribution is coming along well with a team which really values goalkeepers that are comfortable with the ball at their feet.

GK: Anton Puzin, 21, Blades ex Magnaeus [EOT] (on loan from Bastion [EUR])
Puzin is the Euran-born son of Mytanar immigrants and looks like he could eventually be a fine goalkeeper. Coming through the Bastion youth system is no mean feat and he's currently out on loan at Blades ex Magnaeus in the Euran Oceanian Territories to gain a little more experience. Adem Fejzic rates him and believes he could go on to figure in the senior national team should he continue on and eventually find a place in the Bastion first team.

DL: Vuk Bajalica, 21, Kyethas Rivermen [TKT]
Bajalica impressed during the previous DBC and did okay with Miruan City in Tikariot last season, starting 16 games and making a further 9 appearances from the bench. Miruan City couldn't guarantee him the playing time he wanted and that led to a move to Kyethas Rivermen, Bajalica will hope to have a big impact on their first team during the new season. The Tikariot-born son of Mytanar immigrants could be a big talent, many within the FSM believe he has the potential to be a real all-rounder from left-back/left wing-back. His defensive prowess is fast improving and he never passes up an opportunity to raid forward, playing as a wing-back should allow him a bit more freedom during this tournament.

DC/L: Matko Praznik, 21, 1896 Ebor [MYT]
A versatile option that can play either on the left of a back four or as the left-sided centre-back in a back three and it is the latter position which Praznik will be tasked with for this DBC. He grew up as a full-back before a growth spurt inspired coaches to try him in the centre of defence and Praznik seems adept at carrying out both roles. He was a useful bench option for 1896 Ebor last season as they ended up challenging for the title before falling away and ending up in 3rd. Will likely have an even bigger role in the new season.

DC: Amar Kovacevic, 20, East Railway [ASG]
A central defender who can be a factor in both penalty areas due to his outstanding aerial ability, Amar Kovacevic is a member of the Mytanar diaspora in Astograth, where he plays for East Railway. His playing time actually went down last season, with only 11 appearances for the club as they finished 12th. A few Mytanar clubs were interested in taking him on loan ahead of the new campaign, but a move never quite materialised. A promising player who probably needs a bit more playing time.

DC: Bigger Mbala-Ekakia, 20, Atletik Thessia [MYT]
The vice-captain of this under-21 team, Bigger Mbala-Ekakia had an outstanding season domestically as he calmly took over one of the starting central defensive spots in Atletik Thessia's double-winning squad. He could be a real all-around centre-half in the mould of Grigorij Savicevic, boasting fine passing range alongside his excellent physical traits and anticipation. Mbala-Ekakia came through the ranks as a defensive midfielder before being moved to centre-back and that's perhaps why he is so comfortable with the ball at his feet. He is another player who is the son of an immigrant family, but this time it is a family which arrived in Mytanija from Ketiou and has called Thessia home ever since. Bigger grew up an Atletik supporter and he now starts for the club and he could go on to become the first ever black player to play for the Mytanar national team.

DR: Slobodan Vujovic, 20, Royal Rumiatzi [ASG]
Vujovic was one of few bright points from a disappointing Copa Rushmori showing on home soil as Mytanija were eliminated in the round of sixteen by Cassadaigua. Supporters had to watch old rivals Sargossa go on to win the trophy in Mytanija, a cruel twist of fate, but Vujovic impressed during his appearances and may have acted as a minor salve for those with one eye on the future. His 11 appearances in a title-winning Royal Rumiatzi side caught the attention of Lev Repin and did his reputation no harm amongst Mytanar football supporters given the level of exposure to the league just across the Modraine Sea. He was a bit of a wildcard for the Copa but now his ability to join attacks and act as a disrupting influence from right wing-back is seen as extremely exciting, should do well during this DBC.

DL: Zahir Ivankovic, 19, Atletik Thessia [MYT]
Ivankovic is expected to be the starting left-back for Atletik Thessia ahead of the new season as he takes over from the veteran Tihomir Feric. Feric has been a brilliant campaigner for the club over the years but at 33 he's not quite as dynamic and that's where Ivankovic comes in. The youngster has plenty of pace and energy to get up and down the left flank and he will gamely join attacks when he comes off the bench, his final ball may be a bit lacking and he's still working on his defensive positioning (who better to learn that from than Feric, though?), but Ivankovic looks a real raw talent who could come good with the right development.

DC/R: Marko Mishatkin, 21, Meriador FC [TKT]
Another member of the Mytanar diaspora in Tikariot, Mishatkin had a decent season with Meriador last time out, making 33 appearances as a starter and really establishing himself as a dependable central defender. He is another who can play a couple of positions, being capable of playing right-back in a back four and he is likely to be used on the right-side of the back three during this tournament. There's pretty high hopes for Mishatkin given the amount of appearances he has made at a young age, with his 5 assists last season demonstrating he can be a factor in the opposition penalty area and in his own team's build-up play too.

DC: Zelimir Slavuljica, 21, Miruan City [TKT]
Played alongside Bajalica at Miruan City, making 18 appearances as a starter and 4 as a substitute. Slavuljica was left out of the previous DBC squad, perhaps explaining why he was more content with his role at the club than Bajalica, but he's another who has made a solid enough start to his career and encouraged the FSM to ensure they have him within their system before he might become receptive to a call-up from Tikariot. An old-school centre-half, Slavuljica probably needs to work on his passing ability a little, although 21 key passes last season suggests it's something he has in his locker.

DR: Bruno Komljenovic, 20, 1896 Ebor [MYT]
Komljenovic hasn't had too much playing time at 1896 Ebor just yet with Zvonko Nestorovski ahead of him on the team sheet. That could be difficult to overcome but he might end up plying his trade elsewhere given his obvious potential to be a starter in the Mytanar Top League. Not always the most consistent defensively the system with the under-21 squad should suit him a little better with the trio of central defenders giving him something of a safety blanket. This should free him up to get forward and Komljenovic is a good crosser of the ball, making him an able deputy to Slobodan Vujovic.

MC: Gavril Atsev, 20, Atletik Thessia [MYT]
Atsev's talent persuaded Atletik to part with NSD 400,000 to bring him to Thessia from relegated Rudar Uchenik at the start of last season and he impressed with his performances from the bench during their league-and-cup double-winning campaign. He can do a bit of everything, but he is most at home when attempting to create opportunities using his laser-guided passing. He will constantly try and probe opposition defences and he's not afraid of a shot or two either, particularly from free-kicks. Understood to be working on his movement with the likes of Jasno Odonelec at Atletik and is going to be starting for them in the new season.

MC: Edin Aganovic, 21, Directus [EUR]
Aganovic, a member of the Mytanar immigrant community in Eura, was a member of the squad which ended up third in DBC 50 and is very highly-rated in Mytanija with the FSM working hard to get him involved in the Mytanar national team set-up before the Eurans could get their hands on him. Aganovic is expected to have a very big future after coming through the youth system at Euran giants Directus. He's a player in the same mould as Tahir Fejzuli, a playmaker who can ghost in and out of dangerous positions and cause problems for the opposition. Aganovic has been working on the defensive side of his game, but it's definitely not his strongest suit and his central midfield partnership with Gavril Atsev looks like one which is motivated by attacking intent first and foremost. It could also be a factor in the team mimicking the senior team's 3-4-1-2 with the three central defenders offering more protection given that both Aganovic and Atsev are better going forwards than they are defensively.

AMC: Omer Kuhar-Arh, 21, Ararat Severyan [MYT]
Kuhar-Arh enjoyed an exceptional season domestically as he contributed 7 goals and 10 assists for Ararat Severyan. That has drawn admiring glances from Atletik Thessia who see the number ten as a potential successor to Jasno Odonelec, although nothing has quite materialised in terms of a transfer move just yet. Kuhar-Arh is a fine passer of the ball and his dribbling skills draw opponents towards him and allow his team mates more space. Has a knack of finding space in between the opposition's defence and midfield and exploiting this ruthlessly. A good player who could thrive in this 3-4-1-2 system.

DMC: Boza Despotovic, 19, Litala ’93 [MYT]
A promising anchorman who has played as a central midfielder on occasion too. He will be starting for his club side during the new season after Zijad Kurtcehajic's loan ended, if Despotovic can be half as good at this DBC as Kurtcehajic was for Mytanija's under-21 squad during the last one then Adem Fejzic will be very happy. Despotovic is a tough tackler who isn't afraid of trying to bring the ball forward and break opposition lines with a pass. May need to work on his positional awareness as he can be caught out sometimes when the mood takes him and he ends up on one of his forward runs.

MC: Kasim Demirovic, 21, Olympic Thessia [MYT]
A more energetic and defensively responsible option in central midfield, Demirovic has come through the Olympic academy and will start for his boyhood club in the Top League next season. As with any Olympic youth academy graduate he is well-coached in the art of organised football and this means his understanding of positioning is far beyond his years. May end up being a first choice option alongside one of Atsev or Aganovic during the DBC when Mytanija need someone with a little more defensive nous. Demirovic is a player who can be relied upon to hold his position, although he isn't afraid of the odd lung-busting run into opposition territory either.

MC: Borna Marusic, 20, Erribe United [ASG] (on loan from Iturributa United [ASG])
Marusic is the third member of the Mytanar diaspora in Astograth which has made this under-21 squad. He is a more box-to-box option in central midfield than Atsev, Aganovic or Demirovic and this could make him an attractive option in games which could end up being a little more end-to-end. His 11 appearances and 1 goal for Iturributa United last season demonstrate that he could grow into a solid contributor and he will spend the new season on loan to Erribe United to gain a little more experience before returning to his parent club.

AMC: Pasha Secujac, 21, FK Arsika [MYT]
Secujac took the back seat on occasion last season, with Juljana Chmela and Kemal Gajic really drawing the headlines, but the young attacking midfielder still chipped in with 6 goals as FK Arsika ended up just outside the IFCF positions in 5th place. A prototypical Mytanar number ten, he likes to contribute with goals and assists and to be as much of a nuisance to opponents as is humanly possible. He's also very versatile tactically having played in a number of different systems and that makes him incredibly useful to Adem Fejzic, who knows him well from the previous DBC where Secujac was an important member of the squad.

ST: Fran Prpic-Bosanac, 20, Workers Union [EUR]
Well, the FSM have been using all their connections to ensure they don't miss out on anyone who could possibly represent Mytanija and Prpic-Bosanac is another born abroad who has been identified as a potential talent. One of four born in Eura in this squad, Prpic-Bosanac might just be the most talented of them all, he's another striker who likes to use his movement to create himself and his team mates lots of chances and that ability is like sweet nectar to the FSM scouts. Prpic-Bosanac will be tasked with stretching opposition defences as well as occasionally dropping into midfield positions to try and force opposition defenders to make poor decisions. He's a solid finisher by all accounts too and could be a real talent for both Workers Union and Mytanija in the coming years.

ST/AMC: Evtim Asenov, 21, Litala ’93 [MYT]
Another striker who is as at home dropping deep as they are in front of goal, Asenov has had an unusual career after being dropped from a few teams during his youth and finally ending up at Akademija. He impressed for them during their high-flying performances in the Druga Liga and his contributions (as well as his poor view of Akademija's ongoing legal battle) led to Litala ’93 taking an interest and eventually signing him for NSD 250,000 this summer. That could prove to be a bargain, Asenov is an unselfish striker who gets as much pleasure out of assisting a team mate as he does when scoring himself and he can also play as an attacking midfielder which provides Fejzic with a bit more tactical flexibility.

ST: Daniel Jokic, 21, Revolutionaries [EUR]
Daniel Jokic is a slightly more conventional option up front than Prpic-Bosanac and Asenov, the duo of false nines ahead of him. He's a slightly more physical player and he's comfortable in the air too, meaning he could be a factor from set-pieces when coming off the bench. Coming through the ranks at Revolutionaries is difficult and Jokic has managed it, with loan spells providing him with experiences of first team football and the challenge for him now will be to try and nail down a first team place and then secure a spot with the senior national team as well. Another born in Eura to Mytanar parents.

ST: Galib Terzic, 19, Atletik Thessia [MYT]
Terzic is a goal poacher plain and simple and if the under-21s require a goal late in a game they could do worse than bringing the 19 year old off the bench. He'll have a similar role for his club side during the new season, with the likes of Zlatan Andrijasevic, Chiki Larrimbe and Nahia Legarra ahead of him in the pecking order, but that's a good set of players to learn from and Robin Hjik has been trying to develop Terzic's link-up play in the hope that he can become a more rounded striker rather than a pure poacher. He's already useful in the pressing game, so that's another arrow in his quiver and could prove useful against teams that want to play out from the back during this DBC.

Image

Mytanija will be using the 3-4-1-2 formation during this tournament. There is a lot of responsibility on the wing-backs in this system as they are required to join attacks and almost form a five-man attacking front with Prpic-Bosanac, Asenov and Kuhar-Arh, along with their defensive responsibilities. Both Prpic-Bosanac and Asenov will look drop deep into midfield areas to drag defenders out of position and Kuhar-Arh will occasionally look to stretch the opposition with runs in behind when the other two draw defenders out of position. Incisive runs from the wing-backs in behind the opposition's defence will also be crucial, when the strikers draw defenders into midfield positions the Mytanar wing-backs will look to run in behind to either get in on goal or get to the by-line so they can cut the ball back into the centre of the goal. The team will try to play the ball out from the back with players like Mbala-Ekakia and Praznik being comfortable in possession.

TEAM ROLES
Captaincy: Semir Besak is by far the most experienced member of this team and his senior national team caps make him a shoe-in for the captaincy. Bigger Mbala-Ekakia is vice-captain.
Penalties: Fran Prpic-Bosanac is first choice, after him it would be Gavril Atsev or Edin Aganovic. In the event of a penalty shoot-out the order would be those three, then Asenov, Kuhar-Arh, Mbala-Ekakia would come after. The likes of Secujac, Jokic and Terzic would be potential takers from off the bench too.
Corners: Omer Kuhar-Arh and Edin Aganovic will rotate these. Slobodan Vujovic is another option and the likes of Pasha Secujac and Borna Marusic would be options off the bench.
Short free kicks: Most likely to be Omer Kuhar-Arh or Gavril Atsev. Evtim Asenov may take the odd one also.
Long free kicks: Probably one of the wing-backs Bajalica or Vujovic to get the ball into the penalty area and try to take advantage of the height of Prpic-Bosanac, Kovacevic, Mbala-Ekakia and Praznik.

NOTES:
• Adem Fejzic landed on his feet after losing his job as manager of Mytanija's largest club Atletik Thessia. The 59 year old jumped straight into the manager's seat with the under-21 national team and did reasonably well at the first time of asking, taking the side to the quarter finals of the 49th Di Bradini Cup. His second attempt at the DBC went a stage further, getting to the semi-final before being knocked out and then beating Tumbra 5-4 in the third place play-off. It is hoped that he might be able to win Mytanija a second DBC this time, with a number of players returning from the previous tournament and plenty of experience at junior international level. Fejzic usually prefers a 4-3-1-2 formation but the under-21s will be playing the same 3-4-1-2 formation that Lev Repin has been using with the senior national side, that doesn't mean that they won't change during the tournament with tactical flexibility being pretty much mandated by the FSM. Fejzic is seen as somebody who can help to instil this into the under-21 squad and ease the process for these players to make the jump to the senior national side eventually.

• Mytanija has qualified to 11 World Cups, reaching the quarter finals in World Cup 68. Mytanija has won the Copa Rushmori once (XVII), to go with two victories in the Cup of Harmony (56 and 59); and a Di Bradini Cup win (DBC40). Some of these achievements were made under the names Mytannion/the Mytanar Region, Mytanija is ICly the exact same place.

• Mytanars are renowned for being passionate and therefore will not be afraid of confrontation if they feel they're on the end of a particularly rough tackle. At the same time Mytanars are not afraid of gamesmanship and may perform some questionable tackles of their own, along with tactical fouls to prevent the opponent from gaining momentum. Furthermore, diving, crowding referees and even intentional handballs (OOC: so Maradona's Hand of God and Suarez for Uruguay versus Ghana, that sort of stuff), to influence the game are not beyond Mytanar players. They will argue that winning is the most important thing and will do anything they can to achieve victory. Some might call it dirty, Mytanars don't, that won't stop them complaining when things go against them naturally.

• Mytanar fans are well-known for being hooligans, causing problems wherever they go and being prone to violence. They also make outstanding choreographies for their domestic sides and occasionally the national team (if they aren't fighting each other), so pyrotechnics, flags and lots of noise and alcohol are common place. Corteos (organised marches from a specific place to the stadium), are also common, these can lead to areas being shutdown as the sheer numbers of fans walking along roads block traffic and can lead to issues as police attempt to marshal supporters too. Given the ongoing political situation in Mytanija, whether ultra groups are able to put aside differences regarding politics, ethnicity etc for the national side is a pertinent question and the answer to it may change even from game to game.

The Island of the Lost's youngsters to take part in the Under-21 Di Bradini World Cup for the fourth time

By Inès Neville

The Island of the Lost has seemingly finally found its place in the greater scheme of things after having wandered in the wilderness for so long. The Island has finally found success in the sport of football, although it will have been through more than a fair amount of blood, sweat, and tears as our nation could only manage to finish as the fourth-best team in the 69th Under-21 World Cup and the 7th Melayu Archipelago Cup. The transition from seven-a-side football to eleven-a-side, while painful, has proved fruitful and we are now reaping its benefits. And now, for the fourth time in its history, the Island of the Lost will take part in their fourth edition of the Under-21 World Cup, which is currently in its 72nd iteration. The Island of the Lost were sadly unable to replicate their earlier success in the golden edition of the Di Bradini Cup, but with Kai Evans returning with a fresh roster and with the nation invigorated by success in the Melayu Archipelago Cup (even if the team lost the final and most important match against Trolleborg), hopes are high that this generation of young talents can restore the honor of the Lost in the Under-21 World Cup.

Manager
Name: Kai Evans
Age: 76
Kai Evans is a veteran when it comes to managing football teams. He started his career as an assistant manager for Ratcliffe Town A.F.C. before eventually rising to the top job for the Colonists in his early 50s. But while he was unable to get much success in his early years with the club, his consistency in keeping Ratcliffe Town in the top half of the League of the Lost attracted the attention of the Port Maleficent Magic, and it was at the capital where he attained his first major trophy by winning the League. He then followed this up by winning the championship for the next five seasons, before a falling out with his players saw him walk out of Port Maleficent and sign for their rivals the Playa del Mal Royals. It took him a few seasons to get the Royals playing the way he likes them to play, but in the end his efforts resulted in the Royals winning four championships under his tenure. He has however become embroiled in controversy when he made overtly xenophobic remarks at other teams during the Island of the Lost's first Under-21 World Cup campaign, but if the Football Federation of the Lost has named him the manager of the country's second and now third Under-21 World Cup squad, then they must think that the pros outweigh the cons.

Madisyn was always destined to become an athlete; it was just a matter of which sport she was going to choose to pursue a career in. The sport turned out to be football, and she proved a natural fit at being a sweeper keeper. And then she developed a desire to see the whole world, perhaps the multiverse even, and now she's on a quest to find a place where she can truly settle down and call home.

Kits
The kits of the Lost players have been decided by committee in an effort to not show any bias to any of the present football teams on the island. In the end, the committee decided to procure kits of alternating amber and black stripes with black shorts and black socks. If in the event that there is a kit clash then the team will hope to be able to procure alternate kits in time.

Derizi was trained in the the goalkeeper program at the Eelandii Academy. While in Eelandii, the Youth Team qualified for the IFCF Youth Cup after finishing as Top Turorian Youth side in the Tropicorp Youth Cup. Performances for the Academy resulted in a contract with Sporta Eelandii Senior Squad but the Senior Squad was relegated from the Declasse automatically triggering a release clause for the young goalkeeping prospect. Instead of staying local, Derizi opted to take their talents to Eura joining Revolutionaries as they look to take their career to the next level overseas. Amatopa’s first internationstatal tournament came with the Vilitan Union at the XIV Olympic Games and the youngster would earn a Gold Medal despite not appearing in any of the matches. It was a different situation during the 50th Di Bradini Cup when Amatopa started in three of Vilita & Turori’s 7 matches in route to the championship. Amatopa would also start the majority of matches for the Turori National Team during Eagle’s Cup X where Turori earned the Bronze Medal. On a Domestic level, Amatopa took over as starting goalkeeper for Revolutionaries at the age of 18 and earned Goalkeeper of the Season Honors during EuraLeague 45 after leading Revolutionaries to the Euraleague Title. Amatopa became a World Cup Champion when Turori defeated The Holy Empire to win World Cup 88. Amatopa led all Turori goalkeepers with seven starts in the Qualifying round as well as having started one match during the World Cup 88 Finals.

Milake's domestic career wouldn't go as smoothly, however, and after spending 2 seasons in the Declasse after Lonngeylin Coast's relegation, the World Cup winner returned to his roots, re-signing for high-flying Eastal Lunar in Season 46. Offspring of famed Vilitan netminder Zelkki Milake, one of the youngest Starting netminders in history to win the World Cup Final (World Cup 68), Milake has followed in their fathers footsteps by taking on the Goalkeepers Gloves and now trains under their father at Eastal Lunar FC. While not expected to compete for a place on the Vilitan National Team anytime soon, the sky is the limit for the Astronaut Trainee who is also, quite literally, an Astronaut Trainee attending school at the Astronaut Academy at the nearby Vilitan Space Outpost. Milake Jr.’s debut would come as a surprise starter against Delaclava on the second matchday of the 50th Di Bradini Cup. At just 16 years of age the younger Milake would make a name for themselves winning each of their four starts in the competition and helping to lead Vilita & Turori to their first Under-21 World Cup Title in over 60 cycles.

At age 18 Sebapilo would make their internationstatal debut for the Vilita & Turori regional side in the 63rd AOCAF competition in the knockout round defeat to Valanora. Sebapilo would soon collect another first in Valanora starting all seven matches of Vilita & Turori’s 50th Di Bradini Cup campaign, earning their first internationstatal hardware and earning regard as one of the top players of the tournament.

Coach Judith Vásquez's use of a 4-4-1-1 tactic seeks to create a well–balanced formation with strong defensive play and a wide array of counter-attacking options, a decision made to make good use of Pablo Cruz, the speedy forward that caused ruckus on his debut season at the Liga Nacional.

Despite of the possibilities Cruz can create and the passing skills of Prats-Moya, the main focus of Vásquez is defense. The use of central midfielder Ian Martínez as a defensive midfielder has proved to be controversial in football forums, but she hopes that Martínez is able to support the defense in case of emergencies.

The Græntfjaller Under-2’1” National Football Team

Coach: Sopo Chacuzca Image
Assistant coach: Hugo Svanbergursson

Sopo Chacuzca’s bio – bulldozing midfielder for Tequilo’s army team, El Ejército, and former head coach with Coyotes, Irregulares Quetodino, and then Haïtiens, leading the latter out of the second division – hints at a man used to being told what to do and carrying out those orders uncomplainingly regardless of the resources at his disposal. Those tendencies have seen him have considerable success leading Græntfjall’s young team. Given a team packed full of center midfielders, he wheeled out a 2–7–1 “Futbol Ouroboros” system and took them to the final of the 49th DBC. With almost all of those players graduating to senior football, he was left with just one playmaker, and immediately switched up to the “Hammer of Thor”/“Valkyrie Shield Wall” formations, and made it to the quarter-finals of the 50th edition. So when this time, he was ordered to build a squad of Under-2’1” players, he didn’t complain about how hard it would be to find players of such limited stature in a country mainly renowned for the prodigious average height of even its younger citizens: he just ordered up a bunch of miniature kits and got to work on his shrink ray…

*record scratch*

“Hold on. Did you just say ‘shrink ray’?”

“Yeah. So. OK. Promise you won’t freak out?”

Kaija Michaelsdóttir began pouring herself a very large wodka. Auðlín and Kimberley began explaining. It was not clear who would finish first.

“There’s been a lot of… well, there’s just been a lot at the Sports Ministry. Ten years ago Græntfjall didn’t even participate in international sport. Now we have teams in sports I’d never even heard of. ‘Sprint canoe’? It’s a canoe, how fast can it go!?”

Auðlín cracked a smile. Kaija was still pouring. And not smiling.

“We’re bidding to host tournaments faster than we can build the infrastructure to hold the games. Another Olympic team, another World Cup coming up, all these replies from the IFCF about why we’re not allowed to use our trigram…”

“I might have got drunk and sent them a bunch of sobbing voicemail messages,” admitted Kaija. “They replied?”

Kimberley showed her the leaf of papers. Each sheet had a single word printed on it. No.

“We’ve just been elected Presidents of the International Basketball Organization and I’m going to be completely honest with you, I didn’t even know we were running,” continued Auðlín.

“The point is there’s a lot going on,” continued Kimberley. “And it’s not like Sports is the best funded ministry. It’s not where the crack civil servants get sent, you know, fresh out of University of Waltenberg with a double first in economics and political science, you’re probably going to Treasury or Defense or Anti-Kraken Operations, the really important ones…”

“Or Foreign,” said the Foreign Minister as she continued to slop a Lake Viljan-esque quantity of wodka into her glass.

“Of course!” they agreed hurriedly. “But yeah, Sports? Not so much. So some low level functionary gets a piece of paper across a desk and maybe doesn’t look at it quite closely enough or proofread for errors before passing it along, and, um…”

“Oh god, we didn’t voluntarily sign up to another tournament hosted by the Xannerians did we?”

“No don’t worry, it’s not that bad. But it’s – well. The paper had a smudge on it.”

Kaija stopped pouring as Kimberley turned over the letter. The letterhead bore the crests of the Vanorian and Starblaydi football associations, inviting the teams of the world to submit teams to the Under-21 world cup. Only the letter had been smudged in the printing. Some little artifact had made its way in. The OCR had processed that as an apostrophe, and printed…

Under-2’1”

Kaija stopped pouring, and started drinking.

“That was a lot of words,” said Auðlín. His breath frosted the air in front of them as they walked deeper into the Mosablóma Woods, snow crunching beneath their feet. Verdant green in summer, now the forest resembled a twinkling fairy land of ice crystals and snow-covered branches.

“Some really bad ones,” agreed Kimberley, her voice muffled by the scarf up over her nose.

“I don’t even think that last thing is possible. Anatomically.”

“I think she meant it more in a figurative sense.”

“Ah. That makes more sense. Because how would you even… unless you sort of bent all the way over…”

“She was pretty angry.”

“It’s just stress. The polls aren’t great, the economy, that thing we’re not allowed to talk about even though canonically it should have happened more than a year ago…”

“I know, what’s with that?”

“Dunno. But yeah, with all that going on…”

“I don’t think it’s stress. I think it’s… exasperation. We can’t even sign up to a youth football competition without fucking it up.”

They trudged on in sullen silence, deeper into the woods. Kaija had – after a solid half hour of invective – tasked them with sorting out this mess, and told them not to come back to the office until they had a solution. Given the problem appeared unsolvable – they’d taken a glance at Sopo’s shrink ray experiments, and the results on the prototypes were messy – they’d understandably ended up on a very, very long walk, straying all the way into the middle of the forest. They’d exchanged ideas that were immoral – kidnapping a bunch of circus dwarves – or illegal – getting some young children drunk. The most sensible solution – simply admitting to the administrative error and sending, as was no doubt desired, an Under-21 side – was the one they were not allowed to consider: the letter, which Kaija had stapled up to the fourth wall of her office with 100% handwavium staples, made it clear that the contract the Sports Ministry had signed was legally binding and could not be reneged on without serious international consequences. They had to send a team of players who were under 2 foot in height. (“2 foot, 1 inch!” pointed out Auðlín, helpfully.) And first, they had to find such a team of players. But where would they ever…

As they stepped into a clearing, they were surprised to find themselves standing outside a building. Its tall sandstone walls rose to the sky, distant battlements frosted with ice like a gingerbread cake. Two immense doors were heavily barred, but a smaller side gate was open. And shooting out from it came a football, directly into the path of Auðlín and Kimberley. A distant yell followed, and then out scuttled a little gentleman in a black velvet coat, searching for the ball with his nose to the ground, for his eyesight did not seem to be very good.

A very little gentleman in a black velvet coat.

“Gurrr, scuse oi,” he murmured in a thick rustic burr as he scampered in front of Auðlín and reached down with two of the largest hands the young man (yes, Auðlín is a man, despite Auðlín being a female name; of all the things in this story, this is the point whose realism you question!?) had ever seen to scoop up the ball. Auðlín reached down first and picked up the ball: just holding it in his hands meant it was far out of reach of the little fellow, who was, Auðlín noticed, extremely short. He probably wasn’t even two foot tall!

“Beggin’ your pardons zurr but moi friends and I be gurtly hobliged iffen you be given back urr ball,” the little man, wringing together his huge paws, which looked more suited to shifting great quantities of earth. He squinted his tiny eyes up his long, twitching, wet nose.

Kimberley nudged Auðlín’s arm, and pointed him to the direction of these ‘friends’. At the gate to the building, a small group had gathered. A young woman, bright eyed and bushy tailed – very, very bushy tailed, actually; some small, mousey little boys and girls; even the biggest of them, a rather striking young woman with long lashes, longer ears, and even longer legs, was still much shorter than any adult human. When she spoke, she revealed a pair of long front teeth, too: “I say, Burgle, old bean, what’s the bally hold up? Has that rotten cad gone and stolen our ball?”

Auðlín raised his eyebrows and then gently dropped the ball into Burgle’s waiting paws. The little gentleman in the black velvet coat bobbed his head obligingly, and turned and scuttled back to his friends with the football. Auðlín and Kimberley followed him down the clearing, the building coming into sharper relief. Auðlín gazed up to the building’s great heights: atop one tower, just for a moment, he thought he saw a mousey little figure, dressed in dark green. Wielding… a sword!?

“Kimberley,” he asked softly. “What is this place?”

She reached out a hand to the wall, touching it as though to prove to herself it was real, and not a dream. As she answered, her hand lingered on the red wall. “Abbey,” she said, “I think it’s some kind of abbey.”

They stepped through the gate. Monks clad in green robes were ferrying baskets full of produce towards the kitchens where some great feast was being prepared. On the main green, a spirited game of football was being played. The lady with the long ears was one of the better players, unleashing a powerful kick with her long legs, but the bushy-tailed redhead was no slouchy, acrobatically flipping over the head of two players wearing colored headbands who, despite seeming to be on the same team, were engaged in a furious argument over seniority. She collected the ball, aimed a shot, and curled a strike that even Burgle’s mighty paws couldn’t parry out. The little creatures all cheered the goal with a very distinctive cry:

“Eulaliaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”

Græntfjall will be represented at the 51st Di Bradini Cup by a squad comprising creatures from Rauðurveggur Abbey. This is for three reasons:

1. Shits.
2. The planned extra GPL season to catch up domestic and international age alignment (OOC: which I’m going to scorinate any day now, haven’t I been saying this kind of thing since 2005?) is making it temporarily unclear which players are eligible.
3. Giggles.

Appearance: These players are slightly anthropomorphic animals, capable of standing on (and kicking a ball with) two paws. They are all under 21 years seasons old, preserving the spirit of the competition, while also all being under 2’1”. Their actual size varies: the badgers are not hundreds of times larger than the mice as would be the case on a more realistic scaling, so the mice and shrews are much larger than their real equivalents while the badgers and otters slightly smaller (they are young, after all).

Behavior: The animals believe themselves to be, and act like, people. As most are affiliated with the Abbey, they are a spiritual sort and won’t swear (though you may get a peep or two out of the hares, shrews, and otters). They can be a bit naughty but they’re more likely to misbehave by going on a quest during a game or getting into the October Ale than they are to inflict wanton cruelty or violence. They’re not vermin, after all!

Godmoding: This entire enterprise is a massive godmode, and if you are not comfortable RPing a game against a bunch of tiny animals, you have my permission to wholly ignore this aspect of my roster; instead, simply use the player names as though they referred to normal under-21 human players.

With the above in mind, RP permissions are: anything goes.

The 4–3–3 is becoming increasingly popular in Græntfjall, and Sopo will try out the formation at this tournament; whether that’s 4 mice, 3 hedgehogs, 3 squirrels or 4 hares, 3 badgers, 3 shrews makes no difference to him. The formation is flexible (what else would you expect from someone who once fielded a 0–10–0?) and most of the players versatile enough to switch up positions. In fact, you may RP my players in any formation, with the following caveats: moles are goalkeepers, and only one of Dimpy and Ginger can be on the field at once.

Goalkeepers

Burgle will be the goalkeeper. A mole, he is short, unathletic, and has terrible vision, none of which qualities seem to commend him as a goalkeeper; however, he has immensely large paws – he’s also a terrible footballer but desperate to be on the team, and goalie is the only position he can really play. His mole friends Bunko and Hanna are on the reserve bench for him.

Defenders

This may be a weird Græntfjaller team, but it’s still a Græntfjaller team: so obviously the centerbacks will be the best players. They’re also the biggest (fully 2’, really pushing the competition limits!). Duskborn is a young male badger. Playing with the team may be the last time he is with his young friends, for he is starting to hear the call of the distant mountain, Salamandastron. Hugely powerful yet surprisingly deft, he has skilful paws despite his size and strength, and has a very calm head on his young shoulders. Quite a contrast to his playing partner, Jed, a sturdily built young hedgehog with a powerful kick and an equally powerful thirst. Centerback may be an odd choice for Jed given how strongly his teammates discourage him from trying to head the ball, but his strong physical presence and good understanding of the game make him a valuable presence nonetheless. Tara and Maya, troublesome female otter twins, are on the bench, or, frequently, off it, searching for adventure; Jace, another otter, is male and much more level headed.

Jessi Harvestmouse and Rem Bankvole are the fullbacks. They’re the smallest players other than the shrews. Jessi is a very kindly soul (though not above getting stuck into a good tackle) and is very level headed, often trusted with big responsibilities by the adults, such as taking the Dibbuns fishing at the Abbey pond, patrolling the battlements during snowstorms, or taking corner kicks. Rem is much more argumentative and less of a team player, and sulks off on his own a lot of the team. He doesn’t like being caught in possession so tends to pass the ball away quickly. Kem and Bavan, both mice, are substitutes.

Midfielders

Larry is the somewhat surprising name of the female hare. She prefers this soubriquet to her hated actual name, Melaria. She is training to become a member of the Long Patrol and has been training at the Abbey (as well as eating them out of house and home). With her long powerful legs she can kick the ball very hard and spring up and down the field at great pace; she’s very athletic and a born team player. However, she’s a bit crazy and erratic and sometimes overshoots her passes. Molly Dormouse makes a good partner for her, then; very smart and sensible, what Molly lacks in size and strength, she makes up for in clinical decision making. She’s a very hard worker and practises a lot to improve herself. Rounding out the midfield is Krill Thunderheart. Always full of jokes, a bit rough, and not afraid to engage in a little gamesottership, Krill is nonetheless fiercely loyal to his teammates and will be first to dive in to defend any of his smaller teammates should the opposition turn rough, the burly otter laying out any offenders with whacks of his tail. Hedgehogs Ash and Fizz are on the bench, along with Amya, a squirrel.

Forwards

Out on the wing you’ll find one of Dimpy or Ginger. Adorable nicknames for adorable little creatures – agh! Get that rapier away from my throat! Dimpy and Ginger are members of GUOSIR (Guerrilla Union Of Shrews In Rushmore), temporarily assigned to the Abbey by the Log-a-log in the hopes it would stop them fighting. It hasn’t worked. They are actually quite skilled players despite being the smallest of all the animals, with blazing speed and a knack for weaving in between defenders’ legs. But if they ever end up within spitting distance of each other, they’ll start arguing or fighting, so they have to be played one at a time, alternating game time in exactly equal increments. On the other wing is Kit Churchmouse. Kit is the team’s most passionate player: small but strong, not that fast, but hugely agile from flinging himself around the Bell Tower. At night, Kit is moved by strange dreams… a mouse… in armor… a sword…

What does it all mean?

The wingers support Lady Solissa Voyageur, known as Lissa as she dislikes her royal name. A bright, athletic young squirrel, she is extremely fast and athletic. Her shot isn’t terrifically powerful but she’s very accurate. On the bench alongside whichever Dimpy and Ginger isn’t playing is Tumtunga Barrenbramble, known as Tumbles. A sparrow, she is incredibly hot headed and violent, which is a shame as she’s a very good player, extremely fast and with an unerring ability to swerve the ball by kicking it then flapping her wings to redirect its path. Sadly she is too volatile to be used as a starter, but can come on as a real impact player.

After the senior national team has established itself in the international competition, it is now time for the U-21s to leave their mark. They are also playing in the 4-3-3 of the national team to continue the federation's tactical philsosophy that is coached throughout all age classes.

Image
The same the fans of the senior team, the fans of the Owlets also deserve particular mentioning. Not only are they renowned for their chants, but they are also bringing the Thunder Clap (Click here for example) to the stadium, something that the players join in as a pre-game ritual that has left an impression on the opponents and opposing fans more than once (OOC: similar to the Haka of the New Zealand All Blacks). The players will form a triangle near the kick off circle and lift their arms, which the fans do as well. Then a long drum will start to signal the rhythm and both players and fans alike will move in unison, each clap accompanied with a loud cry, the claps (and cries) speeding up, creating an overwhelming sense of impending doom.

Image
Seymour McCann - 56
McCann is mainly the head coach of the Baraldhur AFC academy, but has agreed to take over the job as U-21 coach of Tikariot as well. His outstanding work with the academy, which has produced the likes of Morris Nighthorse, Stian Askebrand and Morgan Stephenson in recent years and has talents like Lennox Jhon Gustavino, Lennox Bell or Oliver Crossley already in the extended TPL squad made him a prime candidate to take care of the U-21 team at the De Bradini Cup as well. While Baraldhur does not usually play in the favoured 4-3-3 system, he is one of Tikariot's tactically most variable coaches, enabling him to switch to the national system without any adjustment issues.

The Xannerian U-21 Team The Young Maroons

NOTE: This Tournament takes place around the time of both the Campianato Esportiva and the end of the AICS (Collegate Football) schedule at the end of summer, so the FAX is resorting towards younger players and with the U-18 being held in the Fall a large amount of the U-18 was not avalible, Although some a handful did decied to participate. Here's the motly crew assembled.

COACH: Lydia Perez 38y/o (East Rowe Catholic) Perez is widely consider one of the finest female players in Prairie history. She has taken her position as a legend and turned it into a successful coaching career for the girls team at her alumni, the local Catholic High School in her hometown of East Rowe.

ASSISTANT COACH: Bobby Wright 52 y/o (East End South HS) known as the "Prairie League Soccer Team Dad", Winnitoon South's Bobby Wright took a 17 year career in the FLOX Omega Division with York Metrostars and East Rowe into coaching, one of FLOX's finest goalkeepers in his heyday for YMS, he has translated that into HS Coaching career, and his teams have produced several high level keepers, including current NTer Evan Jefferson Jr. He will coach the goalkeepers

ASSISTANT COACH: Talia Gordon 32y/o (Bayside Baptist Academy) The best female player and one of the first successful female players in the co-ed era of the Football League of Xanneria, she is now the head coach at a private school in Buccaneer Bay, Denalia, sadly this is mostly due to injuries cutting her career short. She will coach Strikers.

ASSISTANT COACH: Bernie Pope 45y/o (Burtella Central HS) A stud Midfielder in his playing days, though always stuck on some unlucky teams he eventually retired and came back to coach his alma mater in Burtella. He will Coach Midfielders

STRENGTH and CONDITIONING COACH: Tom Van Poppel 58 y/o One of the top Pro Strength Coaches in the Football League of Xanneria, he will help the kids out if needed as he was hired by the Football Association of Xanneria to do so.

This team prioritises attack opportunities over possession, and also makes full use of every counter-attack opportunity. If opposing teams don't catch these players, they are bound to pounce and attempt to score.

Formations: 4-1-2-1-2 (default), 4-2-3-1
Style Modifier: +3.1415
Note: Please refer to preview before match to know the predicted lineup for the day. If one is not posted, you may utilise the last posted lineup, and make any enforced changes as you like. (due to injuries, suspensions, etc.) Members in bold are likely to be regular starters.

Fans
Poafmersian fans are crazy about football, and their loud cheers ring about in the stadiums they visit. They are very willing to disturb the peace in the area to celebrate their win after matches, so matches are best held in the afternoon or early evenings. Apart from that, they do pick up after themselves, and prevent causing much trouble apart from celebrating. You can be assured, however, that they would be travelling around to support their team, so do reserve half the spots in stadiums for them because they would pack it to the brim.

RP Permissions
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers - Yes
Godmod scoring events - Yes (So long as it is not something ridiculously impossible)
Roleplay injuries to my players - Yes (You determine what happened, I decide the severity)
Godmod injuries to my players - Yes (As above)
Hand out yellow cards to my players - Yes
Hand out red cards to my players - Yes
RP any pandemic-related events - No pandemic exists in Poafmersia. Empty stadiums or ban on foreign visitors are, however, accepted and will be RPed as such.
Godmod any other events - Yes (Inform me)
Note: If your RP permissions are more restrictive than mine, then I will take your RP permissions. (With the exception about the pandemic events)
I am very open to cooperative RPs, such as joint press conferences, match-side drama, out-of field events, etc. Do drop me a Telegram in-game or a DM on Discord (You can find me on the NS Sports Discord - Freg#0420).

The kits for the Sendhang national team are sponsored by Kapak, a local sports brand based in Tapaklaboh in the state of Putrasia. The Sendhang national team is in its traditional blue kits which represent the lake in the middle of Sendhang that united the whole country and served as a water source for its inhabitants for centuries. The secondary kit for the national team is mainly in green color that represents the staple food and main export of the country, rice as well as the tropical rainforest that covers the country.

SQUADRA PRIMAVERA

Image

Information about Juvencus:
Capital: Pomena
Population:130,656,702 naturals, with 150,048,720 total including immigrants
Demonym: Juven
Country Code: JUE
Football Association: JFA(Juven Football Association)
Nickname: Primavera
Football Philosophy: The football philosophy that is becoming ingrained in the youth of Juvencus is the art of simple, attacking football. A return to the past where defence is nearly forgotten and the attack is given particular focus. A high-press style of football known as "Pomenienze" firstly introduced by the ranks of AC Pomena in their golden age in the start of the modern campionato which was later put to national team level by legendary August Toset who manage to lead the team to 2 Cup of Harmony finals(winning one of them) and 2 World Cup Qualifications.
Squad comments: It seems as if the association has not yet found this one stable recipe for success and is pretty kin on experimenting with new material to brush out the best of the best talent. With research taking place as far as secondary professional associations and niche academies in the nation, there's a cocktail of unknown and unproven players -many from minorities which have been unrepresented so far in any Juven sport- ready to prove their talent. However as a first, there's also a number of players -from better clubs and academies as well- playing their second Di Bradini Cup, as they are still eligible to participate, those might give a more solid footing to the young blood and we might witness something special coming out of this squad. Gian Landi's vision is unclear, but the talent is certainly here.

Starting XI:
GK:Fernando Lopez(Age 20)(S.S.C Vilan)(Vice-captain)
Description: Fernando Lopez is quite the influential player in the squad, forced to take over the starting lineup spot in a battle-hardened S.S.C Vilan, he has tried and proven his worth with a number of noteworthy performances. His strongest suit is definitely his leaps, which is surprising given his short stature for a goalkeeper. His leadership is not to be underestimated.
CB:Lucia Agnelli(Age 20)(Victoriaville City)
CB:Joaquim Santo(Age 20)(AC Serone)
CB:Gavrilo Đorđević(Age 19)(AC Cuori Primavera)
CDM:Samira Bogdani(Age 19)(Craiova FC)
CDM:Yusuf Saqqaf(Age 18)(Universidad de Cordoba)
RM:Maja Pandev(Age 18)(UD Sacramento)
LM:Ferdinando Da Costa(Age 20)(Canzaria FC)(Captain)
Description: Ferdinando Da Costa, while not necessarily the most vocally commanding presence on the pitch possesses a massive danger to any player daring to square up against him, with a dribbling skillset that is unmatched as well as explosive speed and accurate passing. He can change any match within seconds, which is inspiring to any team that is lucky to have him.
RF:Jeremias Pesce(Age 20)(FC Herone)
LF:Ignasi Aliprandi(Age 20)(FC Piluzzi)
CF:Ilir Limani(Age 19)(S.S.C Trata Primavera)(Vice-captain)
Description: Ilir Limani is one of those talents that is quite unproven, as he is of the albanophone Tratense ancestry, a disadvantadged and unrepresented minority group near Pomena. However, according to reports he has quite the shot power and is a clinical finisher. He was given the vice-captaincy as he is the most well-established of the young blood.

Substitutions:
GK:Gianmarco De Luca(Age 20)(Toro Calcio)
CB:Miroslava Iliev(Age 19)(Caminosa FC)
CB:Gabriele Di Chele(Age 20)(Union Demene)
CDM:Romeo Martelli(Age 19)(Atletico San Domenico)
RM:Clarissa Poggi(Age 18)(Gladiatori Vinceti)
LM:Annibale Martin-Hoxha(Age 17)(Immi FC)
RF:Gentiana Tercelli(Age 19)(S.S.C Acculi)
LF:Fred Coelho(Age 18)(Academica de Pacgliari)
CF:Matilda Amatore(Age 20)(AC Pomena)
CF:Clemente Stepanovski-Gallino(Age 19)(Posca FC)

Coaching Staff:
Coach:Gian Landi
Assistant Coach:Bertrand Boticelli
Assistant Coach:Pau Lenglet

MANAGER: Koenraad Houtkooper

TACTICS: Expected to play a counter-attacking 5-3-2 with the wing-backs the catalyst for many attacks. Leifsson - a one-time school javelin champion, following the Icelandic-origin tradition of participating in throwing events until committing to soccer full-time - particularly specialises in long throws, and will generally angle them towards the flanks. With a tall striking partnership, the wing-backs will often put up early crosses, while the more attacking midfielders tend to try and get to the edge of the box to pick up flick-ons or half-clearances. Defensively, the central defenders tend to form a low block while the midfielders and wing-backs press - key to beating them is finding the opportunities to exploit the space they can leave in the attacking midfield area. Occasionally they will switch to a 4-1-3-2 whilst chasing the game, most often sacrificing a central defender for Reynolds to fill one flank whilst one of the more attacking members of the three-man midfield moves to play on whichever flank Reynolds doesn't - most often that will be Bentley on the left and Reynolds on the right, but sometimes Reynolds (who is right-footed) will move to the left to play an inside-forward role, most often against a physical back line that can handle the cross-heavy Plan A.
Style modifier: +0.5 - whilst in theory this is a more defensive-minded side, in practice this team's clear ways to both create and allow quick chances mean their games should still have a good chunk of xG against most sides.

If you want to speculate the Kytlerian international isolation is in some way pandemic-related, feel free to. I haven't got an "official" RP line on this yet, and will likely "neither confirm nor deny" until I do!

Eastfield Lodge Roster for Di Bradini Cup 51

Image

Demonym: Eastfielder

The Imperial Commonwealth of Eastfield Lodge is a vast conglomerate of nations and states that resides almost entirely in a separate dimension to the reality you all know and love - a bubble universe would be an apt description (the why is a long story, involving the Dreamed Realm and a threat to the existence of the entire universe). The one bit of the country that lies in the regular dimension is a tiny island in the northern seas of the famous sporting region Rushmore, which serves as a transport hub for travel across the region by conventional transport, and for travel to the Imperial Commonwealth via something called a Void Ship (think of it like travelling through a well controlled wormhole).

The history of the country is long and complex, but the key overview is that it is a very socialist Muslim constitutional monarchy, with a noted reputation as being one of the nicest places to visit in the entirety of the known multiverse - the most recent WA census puts the Imperial Commonwealth in the top 100 nations in several measures such as Safety, Compliance/freedom from crime, Tourism, Weather, Compassion, Niceness and Environmental Beauty, amongst several others; most of which are also ranked as the best in the Rushmore region. Because of the initial portal, the nation advanced forwards in leaps and bounds technologically due to intermingling with denizens of another dimension, various alien races from the universe in which the popular RLStates TV show Doctor Who is situated. Whilst these aliens used to take part in life in the Imperial Commonwealth, even forming the Eastfielder National Team for a number of tournaments, they no longer exist in this bubble universe, due to a dimensional shift no longer aligning the two dimensions - for now, Eastfield Lodge only contains those beings that you find elsewhere in the NS multiverse.

Whilst we are a fairly chill nation, we are still fairly socially conservative, and there are plenty of special rules visitors need to be aware of:
  • No Alcohol. At all.
  • No smoking or recreational drugs at all. Visiting team members/fans will be given replacement/cessation therapy if struggling to cope.
  • No public displays of affection. What you get up to in the privacy of your own hotel room is up to you, as long as it stays there.
  • There isn't a legally enforced dress code, but at least dress respectfully, the locals will appreciate you.
  • Cities are by and large car-free zones; make use of the extensive public transport system.
  • Don't worry about a language barrier, there is an inbuilt telepathic translation circuit within the visas that you will be issued - it translates all speech and text into a language you understand instantaneously.
  • No unhealthy junk food will be available, the country is too healthy for that. Also, the food will all be halal, but there is an extensive range of vegetarian/vegan options for those who insist.
  • Ignore all the cameras and the police presence. They're for the safety of everyone.
  • High-level technology pervades every aspect of society and life here, get used to it.

Style: +1
RP Permissions:
Select my scorers: Y
Give out yellow cards to my players: Y (maximum five, TG me with a reason for more)
Give out red cards to my players: Y (only one more than the number given to your team, maximum of three - i.e. I get two red cards, you must have at least one)
RP injuries to my players: Y (Maximum 3, no career-ending injuries without my explicit permission – I reserve right to how long players are out; you can RP how severe it looks)
Godmod injuries: Y (within some reason)
Godmod scoring events: Y (Have fun.)
Godmod other events: Y (TG me if you're planning on killing anybody though, or anything really extreme.)

If I do RP, I will include the line-up for the next match in my RP post, along with any suspensions/injuries. If there is no line-up, look through my posts and check for current suspensions/injuries, but otherwise it’s fine. Also, if you're RP'ing any part of my match, please use the full name Eastfield Lodge at least once, it helps me find the RP.

NB: As the people of EL are extremely compassionate, and very civilised (despite what you may say about the religion), it would be uncharacteristic for the coaches/players to lose their temper, dive deliberately (jumping out of the way of bad tackles and falling awkwardly doesn't count), to be sent to the stands (if the ref is clearly very biased however...), spit, argue with the ref or fight. Players will also tend to inform the referee about mistakes/clarifications in judgement regarding throw-ins, fouls given but with no contact and goal kicks/corner kicks (plus other bouts of honesty - up to you).

Team name: Schutzenphalia and West Ruhntuhnkuhnland
Trigram: SWR
Demonym/adjective: Schutzenphalian*, Schutzi (colloq.)
* Technically, players such as Dragotin Klanènik are Ruhntuhnkuhnlander, but in practice, ‘Schutzenphalian’ is used as an omnibus descriptor for everyone from the United Iron Principality.
Team nickname: (Young) Mountaineers

Staff

Head coach: Patrick Dusl (57)
Assistant coach: Mario Kelsen (34)

Dusl is an old school guy who’s been running the youth program for a generation and rather resents being saddled with a young assistant with a head full of numbers. Dusl was a dependable second-division defensive midfielder in his playing days, Kelsen a first-division wing-back/winger with a degenerative knee condition that ended his career earlier. Dusl is a disciplinarian and tends to treat even the millionaires on his teams as little more than boys; Kelsen is more like a trendy youth camp counsellor who wants to everyone’s friend. Can this Odd Couple make it work?

I will try to post an expected XI before each match, but if I have not you may it can be assumed those numbered 1–11 (except for 20 and 19 instead of 7 and 10) will start. All players play for domestic teams and are available for loan/transfer. Players marked † were part of the NT squad for CR38.

Goalkeepers

1. Anton Mayer
12. Niklas Kaplan
23. Clemens Albert

Mayer is a good shot stopper but Kaplan is the better sweeper-keeper. There could be a bit of a tussle for the #1 shirt depending on how solid the defense proves. Albert, the youngest in the squad, is strictly here to warm the bench.

Defenders

2. Max Muster
3. Dragotin Klanènik
4. Daniel Fischer
6. Benjamin Schlager
13. Tobias Trenker
18. Xaver Bruckner
19. Aaron Pfeifer
21. Nico Wickli

The back three have the qualities of decent centre backs: Fischer the distribution and ball skills, Schlager the size and aerial skills, Pfeifer the physicality and leadership. If only you could roll all those into one player. As it is, each is a little incomplete in their own way and will be looking to improve during the campaign. They’re flanked by wide players with pace and, in Klanènik’s case, an awesome long throw that’s more of an offensive weapon than his slightly erratic crossing. Bruckner, a centre back who can cover right back, is best of the rest.

Midfielders

5. Srðan Verdnik
7. Nino Amstutz
8. Noah Frankenberger†
11. Mathias Maier
16. Niklas Herzberg
17. Luca Geyer
22. Nico Auer

The midfield three can play flat as three central midfielders, but Verdnik naturally trends back into more of a defensive role cleaning up in front of the centre backs and allowing the wing backs to play forward. Frankenberger and Maier take up more forward roles, Frankenberger looking to stretch defenders with his pace – left-footed but generally playing on the right and driving inside – while Maier is a real trier who’ll give you 100% of the effort for 80% of the time before collapsing in a sweaty puddle of bad Anchorman references. Geyer could one day be the best all-round player but still a teenager.

Forwards

9. Branimir Bulganin
10. Daniel Reiter†
14. Kareef Hamidou
15. Tommy Bernauer
20. Lucas von Wolfberg

Bulganin is a typical big 9 who evidently got his growing started early. He’s not totally unskilled and can trend out wide to play in crosses, but lacks breakaway pace. That von Wolfberg has, in addition to a good skillset with the ball at his feet. Reiter is the Next Big Thing who even made the CR squad; given how they did, that’s not a massive endorsement and he starts on the bench. Hamidou is another big unit, Bernauer a 10 (according to his girlfriend, his manager is less convinced).

Captain: Frankenberger
Penalties: von Wolfberg, Bulganin
Free-kicks: Klanènik, von Wolfberg
Corners: Klanènik, von Wolfberg

Emerging from a bloody civil war that saw Pyazhnaya shake off the shackles of communism, the country is now opening up from its forced isolation, trying to form ties to the international sporting community. For many Pyazhnayans football was the one pastime that united them, despite the corrution scandals that had shaken the league for a long time, with the communist leaders moving players around to their favourite clubs and quenching opposition. Several clubs were dissolved after the war was over and now the Pyzhnayan Football Federation is picking up the pieces and trying to unite everything and everybody. The Xannerian National was the national team's first venture onto the international stage, but the first edition of CAFA in Legalese was the first official tournament of Pyazhnaya, where they were only knocked out by Saltstead in the quarter finals. Now while the senior team is taking the next step with their participation in the Baptism of Fire 76, the Grifflets are trying to take their first steps in the famed DBC.
