Intro
Gday Islanders! It’s been a little while since I last ran something for TWI that’s sporty and I thought of an interesting idea we could do:
A 4WD Car Races/Rally championship in Ainslie, with other nations who want to come aboard hosting their own so we get a kinda circuit going if we want to.
Essentially, what will happen is that you’ll submit an application and then the team or teams you send will compete in three different races:
- Sunset Coast Rally - a 125km race made up of multiple stages where racers will have to navigate the firetrails and the unsealed back trails of the wilderness north of the city of Mandara - a scrubby, unforgiving landscape, this track is sure to challenge participants as they try to get past the finish line first.
- Kennedai Forest Rally - a 150km race made up of multiple stages where drivers will traverse through the remote forests of lower Norlands, navigating muddy and at times bog-prone tracks as well as more stronger gravel roads as they complete the mammoth distance that is ahead of them. This track will test endurance, perseverance and the determination of drivers. And who knows, I may just for the fun of it eliminate a bunch of people who are too slow or don’t make it to the finish line so they don’t advance to the Herriden Hills Rally.
- Herriden Hills Rally - a 120km track made up of multiple stages where drivers will navigate the narrow and winding roads of Wesland’s back country. The steepness and unpredictability of conditions is sure to trouble drivers as they vie for the ultimate glory in this final stage of the Ainslie Rally championship. This track will test the nerves and is the culmination of the effort exerted in the previous events - only one team will have a photo finish, descending down the hills and into Herriden’s centre for a remarkable and commendable job.
Application
Here is the application you will need to fill out and post as a reply in the thread below if you would like to join:
- Code: Select all

Name of team (usually two names per team, there is a maximum of 2-3 duos per nation):

Car (you can provide an image here if you’ve got one, otherwise just name it and if there’s any notable features to it - do this for each team).

Skill level (please be realistic) out of 100:

Any other important pieces of information?

Are you keen for any scandals or anything to go horribly wrong with your team?
Concluding Remarks
I am not entirely sure as to when exactly this will begin, but I can see each of these events taking 2-4 days and being separated by about a week. I’ll give you dates when we’ve got a better picture of how many people are joining and the sort of interest levels you all have in this.
Also, if you’ve got any suggestions or ideas please feel free to put them in the thread below - this isn’t something I’m exactly well acquainted with so any tips or pointers would be really appreciated.
As always, this thread is for nations that are a part of The Western Isles ONLY and only nations that are on the region’s map will be able to participate in the tournament in-character.
