Welcome to Ko-oren!

The green, quaint archipelago in Anaia's west welcomes you to another Rugby Union World Cup. Some of you might even have been here before. To them: welcome back! You'll find not much has changed. To first-comers: we're sure you'll like it here.

Money: the Korona has been getting stronger and stronger as Ko-oren's economy keeps developing. One NSD gives you about 110 KOR these days. Public transport is very cheap (the Willowbourne metro takes just 1.1 NSD (or 121 KOR) for a journey), groceries (especially luxury goods not native to Ko-oren) are a little on the expensive side - for a Ko-orenite.
Laws: we'll just say it: alcohol is banned in Ko-oren. And so are other drugs. For the rest, we're fairly chill. Except when it comes to littering. Do not litter.

Group E: The Corridor & Gehrenna
Willowbourne - Ko-oren's second largest city welcomes you! Most of you will probably come to the archipelago via Willowbourne's airport, the largest of the country. It's located conveniently on a crossroads for rail, road, and air transport. The local Foxes play in the Willowbowl, which fits 55.000. Even though Willowbourne is one of the northern outliers as far as host cities are concerned, there is a lot to here that isn't rugby - the national Sports Hall of Fame, several museums, and sporting arenas for four of Ko-oren's main seven sports. Willowbourne's alternate venue, the Violet Maple Grounds (17.800), will also be used.
At the Willowbowl:
- MD1 Ko-oren vs Arjunnagar
- MD3 Natanians and Nosts vs Ko-oren
- Ro16 D1-C2
- QF B1/A2-D1/C2
- SF

At the Violet Maple Grounds:
- MD2 Arjunnagar vs Natanians and Nosts
- MD3 Baggieland vs Arjunnagar

Idyllwild - You won't get much further north during this World Cup, and Idyllwild doesn't even lie that far north. It's just beyond Willowbourne, also at the foot of the Greater Western (Mountain) Range, where the English-speaking world touches the Gehrennan-speaking one. Weather and temperature can get wild here, giving the local Idyllwild Coronae extra home advantage in The Crown, seating 17.500. There's some great hiking to do on the off days!
At the Crown:
- MD1 Baggieland vs Natanians and Nosts
- MD2 Ko-oren vs Baggieland

Group F: Leeshire & West Strand Riding
Maynard - The city is about as close to the action as you can get. It's not that large by itself, but every single city in the neighbourhood surrounds it, making it a great HQ for your RUWC visit. A little over 300.000 inhabitants, up to 26.000 pour into the Armskirk Municipal Ground every two weeks for Maynard Andromeda's matches.
At the Armskirk Municipal Ground:
- MD1 Darmen vs Ingla Terra
- MD2 Darmen vs Barunia

Aubury - The unofficial capital of Leeshire, traditionally a cricket region, Aubury lies at the foot of the large mountain range that separates the densely populated plains from West Strand Riding. It's neatly tucked between the hills, so be aware of potential smoggy conditions. The city of just 100.000 people loves its Aubury Swans, who play in the Chestnut Group Stadium (25.000).
At the Chestnut Group Stadium:
- MD1 Barunia vs San Ortelio
- MD3 San Ortelio vs Darmen

Eaglebury - the Riding's largest city at 170.000 are a lock for nearly every competition, and they have the Eaglebury Aquila as a home team, with their pride, The Palace (34.000). Warning: Eaglebury is a fair bit away from the other host cities, so 'popping in and out of Eaglebury for a single match' is not advisable. You will encounter the rainier and windier conditions here as well, though the gorgeous railroad through the mountains to get here is well worth it. You will hear both English and Tarrashall here, with the former discouraged but widely spoken and the latter promoted through provincial policies.
At the Palace:
- MD2 Ingla Terra vs San Ortelio
- Ro16 H1-G2

Tarrashall - one match between unlucky teams have been scheduled for Tarrashall (the city, not the language), located a few hours north of Eaglebury - which itself is a few hours west of the 'rest of Ko-oren'. The town's 6.500 Woomera Ground will happily host the few that can make it out here, the centre of the pre-globalised West Strand Riding culture. The stadium's regulars are the Tarrashall Travellers, a rugby union team on the highest level that play about half of their home fixtures here and divides the rest between nearby towns that otherwise have to make do without any professional sports.
At the Woomera Ground:
- MD3 Barunia vs Ingla Terra

Group G: Surbourneshire & Springlands
Greencaster- The largest city of Ko-oren, with its huge harbour, modest sprawl, and inflated sense of self-importance is here! The largest stadium of the Ko-orenite side of the RUWC is at your disposal: the Surbourneshire Square, seating 65.000, and normally hosting the Greencaster Galaxy (and the Greencaster Godspeed in arguably the city's most popular sport, Gridiron football). Teams from here that get the most fan following are the ones furthest down the pyramid, though the Galaxy can count on the support of nearly the entire city. The nightlife here can be a bit dubious - but at least it has a nightlife, which can't be said for the other towns.
At the Surbourneshire Square:
- MD1 Abanhfleft vs Hatefulness
- MD3 Placely Placington vs Hatefulness
- Ro16 F1-E2
- QF F1/E2-H1/G2
- Final

Ansonville - The largest city in the region and home to the Ansonville Comets, who have an eyesore of a jersey and occupy the Shire Villa (19.000). The entire city has 164.000 inhabitants, and breathes rugby union, cricket functioning as a fun summer diversion. It's located in a low-lying though lush area with just about everything except mountains as options for day trips. See for yourself if the agricultural prejudice is deserved (and the answer will not surprise you: "YES").
At the Shire Villa:
- MD1 Placely Placington vs Kriegiersien
- MD2 Hatefulness vs Kriegiersien

Marinwood - this place has basically become Greencaster's suburbs, though it used to be its own town doing its own thing. There is no professional rugby here, but there are two highly regarded semi-professional teams, one of which just won the Shire's prime competition. Its populated of nearly 90.000 tends to commute to and from Greencaster for their amenities and work. Games will be hosted in the Nautilus, seating 14.000 and overlooking the ocean (as well as Greencaster's harbour). It's close to Ansonville and Maynard as well.
At the Nautilus:
- MD2 Abanhfleft vs Placely Placington
- MD3 Kriegiersien vs Abanhfleft

Group H: Mawryshire & The Domains
Llandy - home to the Llandy Bulls who play in the 30.500 seater named 'Mawryshire State Oval'. An uninspiring name for a city of nearly 200.000 souls that acts as the Shire's capital. Fans can fly into the city, landing at its domestic airport. Llandy is frequently plagued by floods, combining their location on the coast, low altitude, and Mawryshire's horrid weather conditions. It's never that cold here, its one redeeming factor. English won't do you much good, it's Mawr (a Celtic language) you have to speak - and no worries, there are barely any sources on that.
At the Mawryshire State Oval:
- MD1 Alice Bay vs The Licentian Isles
- MD2 The Licentian Isles vs Copper Cuprum
- MD3 Copper Cuprum vs Alice Bay

Mawrystwyth - 30 minutes by train from Llandy, Mawrystwyth is a far larger city at almost 370.000 inhabitants, but it's also further down the peninsula and more removed from the rest of the country in that way. The Mawrystwyth Phoenix call this town home, playing in the Hertfield (33.000). Mawrystwyth is a happy accident in location, shape, and size. No city that big should be located that far away from the 'centre' and so hard to navigate - end-to-end, the city is longer than any other with maybe the exception of Willowbourne's weird west-to-east sprawl.
At the Hertfield:
- MD1 Quintessence of Dust vs Copper Cuprum
- MD2 Alice Bay vs Quintessence of Dust
- Ro16 B1-A2

Penstead - This city (if you can call it that) is known for two things: the Penstead Bears, a scary rugby team operating in the highest division, and the Penstead Pirates, a scary T20 cricket team operating at the highest level. Both have a knack for (almost) winning trophies, and sporting excellence is part of this city's fabric. Two unlucky teams have a single match scheduled here - you'll need a train to get to Mawryshire, continue all the way to tiny Lawrshoffin, board a ferry, stay on during the first stop at Demteoffin, before you'll finally disembark at Penstead. It's a long journey, but the city's unique nature will make it up to you. The only landmark is the 12.500 seating yLhafontan Parc.
At the yLhafontan Parc:
- MD3 Quintessence of Dust vs The Licentian Isles

Welcome to Quebec and Shingoryeo!

Money

The national currency of Quebec is Quebecois Pound, with the exchange rate of $3 NS for 1 Quebecois pound. With the nation being rich with huge economy, almost everyone will have at least has a good deal of money here. So please don't feel surprised if the products are much more expensive here than back home, excluding alcohol and certainly marijuana.

Things you'll need in your stay, prices in NS Dollars (NS$) and Quebecois Pound (Q)

- Hotel: NS$60-600, Q$20-200
- Public transport in both cities: NS$3-9, Q1-3
- Average cost of food: NS$9-51, Q3-17
- Sports tickets: NS$45-540, Q15-180
- Bottle of water: NS$12, Q4 (Sale of bottled water itself is extremely limited, with public fountains providing very low interest for the people)
- Alcohol: NS$15-150, Q5-50 per keg
- Public phone: NS$3 per 5-minute call, Q1 per call

Cuisine

Quebecois cuisine has evolved through centuries of social and political change. Originating from dominant Korean and elegant French cuisine that came with settlers, as well as materials and existing food of the First Nations living in the area, Quebecois cuisine has evolved through a complex interaction of the natural environment and different cultural trends and is the best mix of it all.

Quebecois cuisine is largely based upon rice, other diverse kinds of grains, vegetables, and meats(in this area moose and caribou, and to rare cases bears). The meals are noted for the number of side dishes (banchan) that accompany steam-cooked short-grain rice. It varies on the personal preferences but often in every meal they eat at least some form of maple syrup, Kimchi and/or bread. Commonly used ingredients include sesame oil, doenjang (fermented bean paste), soy sauce, salt, garlic, ginger, pepper flakes and gochujang (fermented red chili paste). In this part of the nation, fish are caught off the rivers and lakes to be eaten in whatever the way one prefers as well.

Ingredients and dishes vary by region to region, with many. Many regional dishes have become national, and dishes that were once regional have proliferated in different variations across the country. Meals are regulated by cultural etiquette, which are very hard to follow for even the average Quebecois due to all the processes they take.

Feel free to ask me for any questions if you have any in mind.

Religion

Quebec is a religiously diverse country, though divided when it comes to dominant regions. In the cities where the World Cup of Hockey will be hosted, First Nations' religions are widely practiced, with Quebecois Catholic Church and Buddhism right behind. Due to these differences, all three levels of Government keeps some separation from any religions, though they still hold some influences in those levels and receive lots of funding. It is also not recommended to argue about politics or religion in Quebec, as political and religious apathy is not really a thing for the Quebecois people.

Laws

Culturally and socially, Quebec is in bit of a mix. Another handy chart will be in place to explain some of Quebec's laws in place:

Recreational drugs: Legal, though selling them without a provincial licence can lead to up to $10,000 NSD in fines and 5 years in jail.
Hard drugs: Illegal, with punishments up to $50,000 NSD in fines and 5 years in jail for possession and consumption of the drugs.
Prostitution: Legal. People won't be talking about it, but will nod along.
Pornography: Legal, aside from child pornography (applies to any pornographic videos or anything else starring people up to 18 years of age). Possession of child pornography will land you straight in jail for 7 years, while production and distribution of it can lead to potential death sentence. So, don't try it as it's a big no-no.
Legal age for tobacco: 18
Legal age for alcohol: 14
Maximum BAC to drive: 0.03.
Saying the word 'Coconut': Legal

All the foreign citizens caught under the Federal and/or Provincial law will not be extradited, unless of a special order given by Christine II and the Prime Minister.

The Ministry of Sport and Recreation, as well as its internal body, the Imperial Sporting Council, has recently shifted from a nationwide to regional-based hosting system on the international tournaments hosted in Quebec and Shingoryeo, to promote easier, more environmentally-friendly travel, as well as fostering regional interest in a sport of concern. Thus, in a bid proposed by the Frontenac province, City of Kingston and Rugby Quebec, there will be one major city, Kingston, hosting the entire Quebecois half of the RUWC 30.

Welcome to Kingston!

Kingston is one of the largest and most known cities in all of Quebec and Shingoryeo, and is certainly most popular to immigrate into as well. Metropolitan and diverse on surface, as seen by its high-rise office buildings, but provincial and segregated straight into the core of its residents, the mixed-economic centre of the region is a city of contradictions in its own right. Of course, the social lethargy of the city, to which many from the East Coast or the Two Metropolises of Montreal and Quebec City complain about, is what makes Kingston commonly known as the safest, cleanest city in Quebec that also invests itself too much in sports as well.

Sure, Kingston's mostly famous because of its professional teams in other sports, whether it be the Knights (second-winningest team in all of QHL), the Tigers (the winningest team in all of QBO), or even the Raptors (a five-time QBL champions) and the Kingston FC (Q-League mainstay, a mid-major power). Still, those who know the country better could tell you that historically, Kingston's been a large rugby centre in this nation, where the gentlemen's burly game had taken particular interest, like with many other sports here, in the school settings. Marked by the gigantic rivalry that remains to this day between local Gryphons and Montreal Koreana, as well as the same degree of fire between their former youth divisions (now long gone separate) with University of Kingston True Blues and Farrer Redmen (well, there's also Martlets, but it's too one-sided in favour of Farrer women for them to give darn about UofK anyway, lol), the rugby culture in this city and the Quebecois southwest remain strong and popular.

Located in centre of the southwestern Quebec, Greater Kingston Area is the third largest metropolitan area after Montreal and Quebec City, and is the largest metropolitan area without being its own province. While all four stadiums will be located within Kingston proper, it is safe to assume that there will be fans coming from all over the region. It is well connected to rest of the multiverse and the country, where its Malton International Airport serves as a major gateway to the nation, and the Kingston Union Station being heavily connected with both the high-speed, regional, and overnight rail network. Within the city, it is connected by moderately-effective public transportation network, known for both its extensive and convenient streetcar network that's easy to skip payment, and the bus network that makes up for poor subway system.

Stadium I: Pavel Wilson Stadium, Downtown (Lakeshore)

Games to be hosted
MD1: Quebec and Shingoryeo vs. Malandrin | HUElavia vs. Hebitaka
MD2: Lisander vs. Pratapgadh | TJUN-ia vs. Quebecois Acadiana
MD3: TJUN-ia vs. Nova Anglicana | Quebec and Shingoryeo vs. The Grearish Union
Round of Sixteen A
Quarterfinals A
Third Place Match

When it comes to Kingston as a city, Pavel Wilson is often what many foreigners have come to remember as their first impressions. Built thirty-seven years ago as one of the venues of the Baptism of Fire 57, the 47,000-seater has slightly aged since year 2012 of its founding, but continues to fulfill its role in representing the city, having served as host venue for Baptism of Fire 57, World Bowl 25 and 29, World Cups 73, and 77. While becoming a fully-domed stadium after twenty years of its life with a retractable roof, this more than not ensures comfortable experience for any visitor who does not wish to be drizzled by occasional rainfall or even the slightest of breeze.

One thing to take note, since the last major outdoor tournament hosted in the area, is that Pavel Wilson and its long strips of lakeshore have recently completed commemoration projects in the fifty-year commemoration of the 1997 Treason. In 1997, peaceful demonstrations took place here against the provincial government and OF Provincial Police that had extended its rules beyond its permitted realms, which were suppressed with violence by the OFPP and members of the gendrarmrie led by the authoritarian, far-right premier and his puppetmasters. The situation, where both forces were planning to head to Montreal as a measure of 'armed protest', was immediately met by military intervention by the Royal Quebecois Army and His Majesty's Coast Guards, directed under then-monarch Philippe III, resulting in the subsequent suppression that led into purge of the provincial government and over 4,000 sent to death or imprisonment for their treason against the Quebecois state. As a national project commenced by former Prime Minister Kim Seung-Yin, and current Prime Minister Arsene Pineau Kim (himself an alumnus of the University of Kingston, Trinity College), the commemorative memorials and a medium-sized museum, as well as artwork galleries were built to remember the sacrifices of the demonstrators and members of the Royal Quebecois Army and Her Coast Guards.

With this in mind, expect a particularly large presence of Kingston Police in the surrounding vicinities. They will, for most part, be nice to you, but any attempt in defacing the memorial strip will cause immediate intervention by police.

Stadium II: OVO Field, Mudeung

Games to be hosted
MD1: Kelssek vs. The Grearish Union | Pratapgadh vs. Srednjaci
MD2: Bollonich vs. Srednjaci | Nova Anglicana vs. Hannasea
MD3: Hannasea vs. Quebecois Acadiana | HUElavia vs. Desotania
Round of Sixteen B
Quebecois Semifinals

Located just short of the Ypresville and Ssangryong mountains that separate the Midtown from its northern districts that's mostly a baseball and football territory, the local Gryphons of Quebecois Commonwealth SuperLeague, and the Kingston FC of Q-League, call this place home. With the mountains and hills surrounding the north and the east side of the athletic complex from the mountain, and the other two sides residential district of Mudeung, it does possess a slightly wetter, windier grass turf than other stadiums used for the tournament. While both rugby and football are commonly played here, the absence of football national team matches here means that they were able to rent the field for the entire summer, allowing the stands to be adjusted and added as necessary. Even with its relatively inconvenient location for the visitors, the 32,000-seater will certainly be packed to the capacity. With the consideration of Rugby Quebec (and $$$) in mind, the Quebecois Baseball Organisation has rescheduled the Kingston Tigers home games from afternoon to evening hours, as to allow for the fans to be able to watch both baseball and rugby games if wished.

Stadium III: Trinity Stadium, Downtown (North)

Games to be hosted
MD1: Nova Anglicana vs. Quebecois Acadiana | Elejamie vs. Desotania
MD2: The Grearish Union vs. Malandrin | Hebitaka vs. Desotania
MD3: Kelssek vs. Malandrin | Hebitaka vs. Elejamie
Round of Sixteen C
Quarterfinals B

Being technically the oldest stadium in the city, even after being twice rebuilt, Trinity Stadium is considered to be a particularly hallowed (or more fittingly, cursed, given the T-Blues forms there lately), to be a particularly special place in the minds of many middle-aged Kingstonians. It's a solid stadium that seats 25,000 spectators on fairly new stands, and its proximity to the northern half of Downtown means easier opportunities for shopping or grabbing food in short walks away.

Of course, people remember the arena lot better for other purposes, most notably because of level of controversies generated in order to secure the stadium. The particular divide between the Kingstonian sporting community and University of Kingston athletics department, whose obsession with keeping their outdoor ballsport teams' under low expense and everything else high expense, had nearly meant that it was barely made available after the intervention of the Imperial Sporting Council, one of the two governing boards that is responsible for the Quebecois participation in international tournaments.

Stadium IV:Laurent-Marc Mellis Field, Eastern Beaches

Games to be hosted
MD1: Lisander vs. Bollonich | Hannasea vs. TJUN-ia
MD2: Quebec and Shingoryeo vs. Kelssek | Elejamie vs. HUElavia
MD3: Srednjaci vs. Lisander | Pratapgadh vs. Bollonich
Round of Sixteen D

Built for the 2018 Quebecois Commonwealth Games, where the field was hosted rugby matches, The Mellis is located on the Eastern Beaches. Best remembered for the morning dews, the cliffs, and rich houses that alternate with housing projects, the Mellis is a true city stadium, where a wide variety of sports, rugby among one of them, is played. With 12,000 seats, it's the smallest of all four Quebecois stadiums selected to host the games, though the much-needed renovation means that you can expect the highest of standards being employed to not only the infrastructure, but also the gameday experience as well. After the game, you are more than welcome to visit the surrounding provincial parks or hike the trails.

Rugby is the third most popular sport in Elejamie, behind ice hockey and football. While rugby league has a small but loyal fanbase and the ERC Sevens (held before the start of the ERC season) is a massive success, it's rugby union that reigns supreme in Elejamie. With the ERC being very successful since its inaugural season in 1978/79, the ERC Grand Final being one of the most-watched sporting events in the country and the Elejamian Universities XV (an all-star team made up of the best players from universities around the country) having an annual tour that tends to sell very well, as well as a plethora of talent over the years, it's safe to say that rugby union will be popular in Elejamie for years to come.

I'm not going to bother with recapping the last tournament because it was pretty much the same as the one before. I easily conquer the group stage, make it through to the final where I lose to Ko-oren. Seriously, you have my permission to make me lose in the semi-finals if it looks like it'll be a fourth consecutive Ko-oren vs Elejamie final if it means that NS rugby won't be fucked. Because I don't want it to turn into the real-life NBA where it was Cavs vs Warriors in the finals for four years in a row and the whole league ended up being so lopsided that people probably just stopped caring, and I don't want this to become like the World Cup of Hockey here on NS where we had Elejamie vs Valanora for three finals in a row and we eventually ended up with questionable hosts, complete apathy from the community and tournaments and even elections being abandoned because no one bothered to take part or show any interest. And I'm sure that even Ko-oren probably wants to face someone else for once.

Laneriti Stadium, Coventry, AVEN
Image

Home to the national football team and the national rugby union team, Laneriti Stadium was built in 1955 after the Elejamian FA decided on a permanent ground for the national football team. After narrowing down 400 options down to three, they eventually decided to name it after Arik Lanerit (aka Laneriti, d. 1915), a famous Iyilim politician who helped shape this country just as it was getting started. Originally designed to fit 60,000 people, it was expanded in the mid-90s to accomodate 82,500, which has remained the official capacity ever since. It has hosted every single Cup of Elejamie final since 2000 (as well as 23 previous cup finals before that) and all but one ERC (Elejamian Rugby Championship) Grand Final since the play-offs were introduced in time for the start of the 1990-91 ERC season; due to scheduling conflictments, the 2011 Grand Final was played at the Edgebaston Dome, with the Murgon Bullfrogs beating the Auckhampton Birch Trees 20-15 in extra time.

The stadium in the background is the Starmath Den, home ground of the Starmath Rovers football team in League Two and Coventry Jesters rugby union team, which play in the Elejamian Rugby Championship, having been promoted at the end of the last season. It's also used as the training ground for the national football/soccer team, with the national rugby (both codes) team having its own training ground outside of Coventry. It can also hold up to 15,000 people.

Licentian National Rugby Union Team

Rugby union is one of the major sports in the Licentian Isles, most popular in Colesham and sections of Montfort Parish. For many years rugby in the Isles was intertwined with our neighbours across the Channel in Apox through the Super Sixteen, but now after the isolation from the rest of the multiverse, Licentian rugby will have to redevelop on its own merit rather than benefitting from competition with their neighbours. Many are expecting the Cyan-and-Gold to struggle on their return to the Rugby World Cup.

Head Coach – Lilly Buchanan

Squad:

Starting XV:
1 – Evie Webster – 28 years – Port Arran RFC
2 – Meadow McDougall – 30 years – Abingdon Warriors
3 – Alasdair Munroe – 24 years – Port Arran RFC
4 – Caitrìona Gilmour – 31 years – Montfort RFC
5 – Lucie Moffat – 24 years – Abingdon Warriors
6 – Ollie Docherty – 22 years – Montfort RFC
7 – Islay Hughes – 27 years – Thornhill Reds
8 – Hamish McEwan – 29 years – Abingdon Warriors
9 – Aaron Campbell – 26 years – Port Arran RFC
10 – Grace Hunter – 22 years – Colesham City Blues
11 – Elise Graham – 28 years – Montfort RFC
12 – Juliette Koster – 33 years – Islanders – CAPTAIN
13 – Johanna de Koning – 24 years – Islanders
14 – Ruairidh Crerar – 25 years – Abingdon Warriors
15 – Sam Todd – 29 years – Colesham City Blues

Replacements:
16 – Fern MacKenzie – 27 years – Port Arran RFC
17 – Sienna Porter – 24 years – Montfort RFC
18 – Cody Tait – 23 years – Carrington Devils
19 – Ollie Graham – 20 years – Port Arran RFC
20 – Aidan Quinn – 23 years – Colesham City Blues
21 – Murray Aitken – 21 years – Colesham City Blues
22 – Quinten van der Linden – 26 years – St Ninian’s
23 – Ivy Downie – 19 years – Montfort RFC

Kits: The home kit of the rugby teams of the Licentian Isles are a cyan shirt with gold sash, cyan shorts, and gold socks. The change strip is white with a gold sash bordered on both sides by cyan, and utilises the same shorts and socks.

RP Permissions:
If my opponent should RP first, they may:
Choose my scorers - Y
Godmod scoring events - Y, but nothing too ridiculous
RP injuries to my players - Y, but nothing serious, and TG me to make me aware
Godmod injuries to my players - N
Suspend players - TG me to make me aware
Godmod suspensions - N
Godmod other events - N

Fair play and respect are important to Licentian players, and they should not be depicted as going outside the bounds of normal behaviour during a match without prior permission. I will also not tolerate the introduction of any virus or other world-changing thing to the Isles without prior permission.

Player ages are correct as of the first matchday.

Scrum!: Finally, Union Goes To 15!

Postby TJUN-ia » Thu Jun 24, 2021 5:38 am

Image

Nation Name: TJUN-ia
Trigram: TJU
Nickname: Jaguars
Governing Body: Rugby TJUN-ia (RT-U)
Home Jersey: Blue Shirts/Orange Shorts
Away Jersey: White Shirts/Blue Shorts
3rd Jersey: Orange Shirts/White Shorts

Both Ko-oren and Quebec and Shingoryeo will witness history as the 30th Rugby Union World Cup will finally see Rugby TJUN-ia expand into the 15-a-side for the very first time. "Time constraints" was the main reason why RT-U decided against competing in RUWC29 but now we finally here for a tournament where most of the big names are here - which isn't the case for the rest of the current rankings. Out of the 32 teams taking part this time around, 13 of them are debutants (including us) which means some new talent is certainly going to hit the scene in a big way this time around.

In order to get the best out of this new experience, RT-U decided to "promote" most of the starting players from the Sevens squad to finally get a taste of 15-a-side. The only play from the main body not to come here is Vittaly Rossi, who decided to stay and help Brutas Excillius develop the next generation at the next tournament. Wyn Gwyneth, as such, carries his captaincy (and Brutas' tactics) up to the first-ever TJUN-ian XV, which includes faces both old and new in order to make the most out of this tournament. With the Sevens rebuilding, League wondering when the hell the next RLWC is going to be and TJUN-ia in a group with only 2 ranked teams, this first RUWC in our history is set to be quite entertaining for all who dare follow...

How could the government's welfare reforms affect individuals and businesses?

Lydia McLaughlin, Business Today Magazine

Unemployment Benefit

Unemployed individuals who were let go from their jobs or women who quit because of the birth of a child are allowed to claim unemployment benefits equal to 50% of their salary per month.

Comparison

Reason for claiming: Unchanged

Number of weeks to claim: Reduced from 52 to 39 (both in a 78 week period)

Minimum benefit: Unchanged, A£240 for 40 hrs/wk, A£60 true minimum benefit

Maximum benefit: Reduced from A£600 to A£480

Work requirements/reporting: Individuals must be looking for work or studying (unchanged), but will be required to have in-person meetings at unemployment offices and bring documentation to verify. If you receive a job offer that is considered "suitable employment" and reject it, you will lose your unemployment benefits (unchanged), but suitable employment now defined as a job worth no less than 60% of previous wage at no less than 67% of your previous hours.

Effect on individuals: For certain folks (those making more than A£960/week), this cuts their maximum unemployment benefit, but for most people, the biggest changes are going to be the duration, the reporting requirements, and the suitable employment rules. 39 weeks isn't a small amount of time, but it is a 25% cut in the duration. More individuals may lose benefits for not having meetings or not meeting the reporting requirements. Additionally, more individuals will be required to take minimum wage jobs, as people making less than A£20/hr would be required to accept jobs at minimum wage for at least two-thirds of the hours they previously worked. The incentive is clearly towards finding a job more quickly.

Effect on businesses: A reduced unemployment system and more stringent requirements will likely mean more individuals looking for jobs and taking them, so this is a good thing for businesses looking to have a robust source of labor.

Standard Cash Transfer

If an individual or household falls below the poverty line, then they are eligible to receive the standard cash transfer.

Comparison

Poverty line:

1 - A£12,480>A£10,000
2 - A£18,720>A£15,000
3 - A£24,960>A£22,000
4 - A£31,200>A£30,000
5+ - Add A£4,000 for each person

Lifetime limits: 20 years lifetime/10 years consecutive becomes 15 lifetime/5 consecutive

Work requirements: Monthly average of 10 hours a week, or looking for work to claim this benefit (unless receiving disability), unchanged for individuals, becomes monthly average of 12 hours/week for 2 person, 15 for 3 person, 20 for 4 person or more. Rejecting a "suitable employment" job offer now immediately ends your benefits instead of reducing them,

Minimum benefit: Goes from 1/3 poverty line (or topped up to poverty line, whichever is less), to A£1000/2000/3000/4000 (per person). Benefits now phase in at 3/1, so a single person working 10 hours/week at minimum wage (A£6,240/yr) would receive A£2,080/yr. This continues until individual/family is at poverty line.

Maximum benefit:

Old

1 - A£6,240
2 - A£9,360
3 - A£12,480
4 - A£15,600
5+ - Add A£2,500

New

1 - A£2,500
2 - A£3,722
3 - A£5,459
4 - A£7,443
5+ - Add A£993 for each, maximum A£10,000

How money is provided: previously direct deposit/check in the mail, now placed on debit card, not able to be used at ATMs

Effect on individuals: Stricter work requirements, lower minimum and maximum benefits, and losing your benefits for rejecting suitable employment, all mean that the new government is trying to get people to spend less time receiving "pogey", as welfare is sometimes called. Additionally, the new debit card system is intended to reduce fraud.

Effect on businesses: Like the unemployment reforms, this will likely mean more individuals looking for jobs and taking them, so this is a good thing for businesses looking to have a robust source of labor.

Disability allowance

Individuals who have a total or partial disability that prevents or limits their ability to work are eligible for a monthly benefit.

Comparison

Qualification requirements: Individuals must receive multiple medical evaluations, doctors instructed to consider ways patient might be able to work, mental health now to be considered "partially limiting".

Benefit: Goes from 67% of individual poverty line for one person (75/100 for two person household depending on other person's ability to work, 100/125 for three, 125/150 for four) to 60% of individual poverty line for 1, 67% for 2, 80% for 3, and 100% for 4. Therefore the new numbers (maximums) are A£8,360>A£6,000 for 1, A£12,480>A£6,700 for 2, A£15,600>A£8,000 and A£18,720>A£10,000. A "partially limiting" disability now receives a flat benefit of A£500/month, regardless of household size.

How money is provided: previously direct deposit/check in the mail, now placed on debit card, not able to be used at ATMs

Effect on individuals: Stricter qualification requirements, lower benefits, and doctors being pressured to move folks down the spectrum of disability all mean that the new government is trying to get people to receive less money for disability payments.

Effect on businesses: Like the unemployment reforms, this will likely mean more individuals looking for jobs and taking them, either because they are no longer considered to have a disability or because they are "partially limited" and have a low benefit, so this is a good thing for businesses looking to have a robust source of labor.

Workers' compensation

Workers who are injured on the job through no fault of their own and out for at least one work week are entitled to this benefit.

Comparison

How it's provided: Previously provided directly by the state, it will now be privatised and given over to insurance companies to handle claims/payments.

Benefit: Previously workers were entitled to 67% of their salary for up to 52 weeks (maximum A£800/week), will vary.

Effect on individuals: They will pay insurance premiums rather than taxes and will navigate a private system rather than a public one, but their employer is essentially going to make the decision for them.

Effect on businesses: Freedom from these kinds of taxes and the ability to choose between competing insurers, but a bit of a hassle to find and set up a program with an insurance company for your business. It should lower costs, but unclear.

Pensions

Here we'll discuss old-age, public employee and military pensions.

Comparison

Old-age: All citizens and legal residents age 66 or older are eligible to claim the benefit; this will be gradually changed to 68 for citizens and 69 for legal residents. The maximum benefit was A£18,000/yr, while the minimum was A£6,000/yr, with lower-income individuals receiving higher benefits.

The minimum benefit will be reduced to A£4,800/yr, and the income ranges and maximum benefits will change. Under the new system, the maximum benefit for those making less than A£25,000 will be A£15,000/yr, the maximum benefit for those making A£25,001-100,000 will be A£10,000/yr, and those making more than A£100,000 will receive the minimum benefit.

Average income continues to be calculated on the last 30 years of work income before claiming the benefit. If citizens have fewer than 30 years of work income, it is calculated on that. If legal residents have at least 10 years of work income, they are eligible and it is calculated on that, though their maximum benefit has been changed from A£12,000/yr to A£9,000/yr. If citizens have no years of work income, they continue to be entitled to the minimum benefit.

Effect on individuals: Legal residents get higher retirement ages and more cuts, but almost everyone has some kind of cut. Most people will have to wait longer before getting their benefit, the very poorest will lose up to A£3,000/yr, while most individuals making A£25,001-75,000 will lose something (some up to A£4,400), and the wealthiest individuals will lose A£1,200/yr. Some individuals making between A£20-25,000 will gain a little, as will some making A£75,000-100,000, but it's not much.

Effect on businesses: This should increase labor supply, especially among older individuals, but might put pressure on businesses to offer more benefits or pensions of their own to replace this. This would require sustained action, which, combined with the increase in labor supply other reforms will likely achieve, isn't that likely to happen.

Military: Soldiers were eligible for a pension after five years of active service; this will be reduced to three. The minimum benefit is A£3,000/yr, up from A£1,200. The maximum benefit, achieved after 30+ years of active service, will be raised from A£36,000/yr to A£48,000/yr. Every two years spent in the reserves continues to count as one year of active service for pension purposes. An injury that necessitates retirement continues to increase the pension by A£6,000/yr. Additionally, military pensions will be completely exempt from central government tax instead of 50%, as before.

Effect on individuals: Better benefits for veterans all around, this should help individuals.

Effect on businesses: This could have positive or negative effects on labor supply. More individuals may choose to join the military or stay in longer, which could cut labor supply. However, making it easier to obtain a pension might mean more individuals sign up and then leave. This could increase labor supply and might result in better trained employees than those who look for a job right out of high school. Fully exempt pensions could mean an increase in consumption, good for business.

Public employee: Current public employees will not see a reduction in pensions (maximum of A£11,820/yr), but new hires who qualify will receive a flat benefit of A£7,500/yr. In order to qualify, public employees must work for at least 25 years. This is a change from when public employees only needed to work for 5 years to receive a benefit (albeit lower than the maximum).

Effect on individuals: A lower benefit and more stringent qualification requirements means fewer people will look to public-sector jobs. It discourages working after 25 years, which should reduce salaries for the government. The loss of the lower pension means people who quit before hitting 25 years aren't entitled to anything.

Effect on businesses: Fewer folks will qualify, and with a lower benefit, more individuals will look to private-sector jobs rather than public-sector ones, either at the beginning, middle, or later stages of their careers. Should increase supply of workers.

Subsidised daycare

Individuals making certain amounts lower than the median income receive subsidies to pay for daycare, while everyone is eligible to place their child in a government-run facility.

Comparison

Govt facilities: Some of these centres will gradually be privatised.

Daycare subsidies: These would be eliminated and replaced with an A£10,000 tax deduction that anyone would be able to claim.

Effect on individuals: While child-care costs might increase as a result of replacing cheap government facilities, the elimination of daycare subsidies (which typically ran in the thousands of pounds), should place a downward pressure on price, as will increased competition. The privatisation of government facilities should increase entry of firms into the market (now that they don't have to compete as much with artificially cheap government centres), which should help individuals with costs. The tax deduction will benefit mainly wealthier families.

Effect on businesses: This might reduce some of the number of women looking for jobs, or might put pressure on businesses to offer day-care programs as a perk, but as more companies should proliferate due to the conditions mentioned above, families might find daycare costs fall, and are then more able to spend money on consumer products.

Direct housing assistance/Public housing/Subsidized elder care facilities/Public Power subsidy

Since these have fewer effects on businesses, we have elected not to cover them. However, the two subsidies will be eliminated and rolled into the cash transfer system. Public housing and subsidized elder care facilities will be partially privatised.

Summed up

Overall, for individuals, it's mostly intended to reduce dependence on welfare, though veterans will benefit from the pension changes. For businesses, the labor supply should increase, though they may have to cope with a few new wants from workers.

Pratapgadh Men's National Rugby Union Team

Pratapgadh had been quite successful in rugby league, however, the same cannot be said about rugby union. Pratapgadh is currently ranked 18th out of 80 countries that have participated in the Rugby Union World Cup before. Pratapgadh first participated in the 27th edition of the Rugby Union World Cup and was ranked 23rd. The Rajput Warriors then participated in the 28th edition and rose in rankings by 6 sports and ended up on 17th. However, a bad performance in the 29th edition led to them dropping one spot to 18th. Though it doesn't sound too concerning, it's quite obvious that the Pratapgadhi team had lost its spark. In the 29th edition of the Rugby Union World Cup, Pratapgadh only managed to get one win out of the four matches they played. This bought Pratapgadh's record to five wins and seven losses out of twelve matches. Previous players were getting older and couldn't perform like they did in their younger days and Pratapgadh Rugby Union failed to come up with a decent roster for the last world cup. It was obvious that changes need to be made to bring in younger talents and making sure the future is secure. Keeping this in mind, the Pratapgadh Rugby Union decided that half of the national team's 30-man squad will be from the College Rugby Union Championship (CRUC). The average age of this year's squad is 23.97, with the average age of the starting team being 26.6 and the average age of the substitutes being 21.33. This shows that the PRU is quite serious about building the future and has started its plan to completely change the course of rugby in Pratapgadh.

The Hannasean Hamsters
Image

Rugby union is the most popular winter sport in the Guild Federation, and yet surprisingly the last of the three codes in which the Hamsters made their debuts. While Hannasean fans were happy to laugh off poor results in the World Baseball Classic, International Basketball Championship, or Campionato Esportiva, in the Rugby World Cup there are much loftier expectations, largely disappointed last time. This is a full strength side drawn from Ultimate Rugby.

In Hannasean Fluid Time (HFT), this occurs 2 years after RWC29.

Squad

A standard 31-player squad has been selected. Injury replacements will be called up only in the event the player is unable to continue the tournament. Unless otherwise stated, the first, or first two, players listed for each position will start. Players in bold played at RWC29.

Front row

Hooker Kian Burke Angelwood Electro-Weasels
Hooker Blake Lewis Oak Park Lemurs
Hooker Scott Carr Kent Dæmons
Loosehead prop Scott Hopkins Oakwood Orcas
Loosehead prop Harry Evans Pearl City Icelandic
Tighthead prop Hunter Bennett (vc) Pintook Super Badgers
Tighthead prop Cooper Hewson Dæmons

Tighthead prop Hayden Brown Orcas

Second row

Lock Kaiden Porter Coral Coast Werewolves
Lock Peter Graham Lemurs
Lock/flanker Jacob Harvey Super Badgers
Lock Rory Jenkins Electro-Weasels

Back row

Openside flanker Joe Hunter (c) Silver Creek Jaguars
Flanker/no. 8 Nathan Horne Greenville Mystics
No. 8 Ryan Perry City Icelandic
No. 8/flanker Owen Moore Dæmons
Blindside flanker/lock Eric Williamson Orcas

Half-backs

Scrum-half Joel Marshall Werewolves
Scrum-half Ben May Orcas
Fly-half Tom Pickett Icelandic
Fly-half Jude Helman Dæmons
Fly-half Jeff Bowen Mystics

Backs
Inside centre/fly half Jayson Parker Icelandic
Outside centre Ben Campbell Pharoahs
Centre Ollie Clarke New Blopping Magic Ants
Centre/wing Finn Booth Dæmons
Wing Ethan Price Upper Niedewe Reds
Wing Joe Ryan Lemurs
Wing/fullback George Dawson Super Badgers
Fullback Jack Wright Mystics
Fullback Logan Webb Werewolves

Burke and Hopkins started the last tournament on the bench but won starting roles which they continue here, Burke largely on the strength of his superior lineout game. That was the Hamsters’ biggest problem last time, so it’s no surprise there’s change in the second row, too, with Peter Graham beating the big flop Nate Hill. No changes in the back row, all three starters being among the star players last time. Stand-off Pickett is the only halfback returning, with Vargas out of favour and Rhodes injured. Parker is now a full-time 12 and Price a full-time union wing.

Style modifier: +2

Should my opponent RPs first, they may do the following:
Choose my try scorers: Y
Choose my goal scorers: N, use Pickett for standard kicks and Wright for long penalties, Parker as back-up or with a cheeky droppy
Godmod scoring events: N
RP injuries to my players: N
Godmod injuries to my players: N
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Y
Hand out red cards to my players: Y
Godmod other events: Maybe, ask first depending on what you have in mind

Additionally, please don't RP my athletes or supporters being responsible for violence; and, if you're using unphotoshopped photo pictures, don't say they're pictures of my athletes or supporters.

Placely Placington rugby league union team something or other

Style Mod: +5
Colours: Black and white

Placely Placington are a somewhat familiar name to those who participate in the WorldVision Song Contest. From humble beginnings when their chief scientist Dave the Hobo interrupted his entry midway to get a drink from a vending machine backstage to their entrant from the most recently completed contest seeing his bandmates abandon him again, they are considered to be one of the most existent nations taking part in the contest. And, in an attempt to gain more money to pay off that crippling debt they got from banning their economy, they've decided to repeat what they did some time ago with a different code and enter the Rugby Union World Cup again, even if it didn't go so smoothly the first time.

The downside? There were no rugby union players in Placely Placington. There were still no rugby players in Placely Placington, full stop. There was still a soccer player, who plays in all the positions for both of the country's teams, but he definitely wouldn't have an idea of how to play this sport. So naturally Chief President Man Dave McDaverson and his cabinet decided to repeat what they did with the rugby league tem. They cloned a whole bunch of Test Subjects, the grunts of the entire nation. The sorts who literally power the nation by pushing this big wheel with spokes that generates electricity. Sure they break down and die a lot, even by Placingtonian standards, but they can always clone some more. Sure they were rank outsiders to the point where they'll need three digit scoreboards to truly convey how badly they got beaten but they could always defy the odds. Maybe miracles can happen again.

To make things easier, feel free to use Test Subject (or merely just Subject) followed by either their number or position, much like what I've did with the Captain/Vice-captain thing. They may all be clones but they're still technically different people.

Choose my pointscorers: Y
Godmod scoring events: Y
RP injuries to my players: Y. Go nuts.
Godmod injuries to my players: Y. Deaths are not just allowed but also encouraged OOCly (but not ICly, they just happen) due to the nature of Placely Placington. Just as long as you don't make it too gory (just to avoid moderator intervention) you can kill off as many Test Subjects as you want however you want. Bonus points if you try and be as creative or as ludicrous (i.e. one of the Test Subjects having a bizarrely fatal allergy to air) as possible. Besides, the Clonomat's been brought over so they can easily bring back a new player as if nothing's happened.
Hand out yellow cards (sin bin) to my players: Y. No limits.
Hand out red cards (sending off) to my players: Y. Also no limits.
Godmod other events: Anything's allowed up to the dissolution of Placely Placington. Much like its denizens, Placely Placington can never truly die, it just dies for a little bit then comes back as if nothing's happened.

  • Because everyone in Placely Placington is an idiot, the Test Subjects themselves no exception, you're more than welcome to have any of the Test Subjects completely mess up the laws. Such as spiking the ball when they make it past the try line instead of putting it down for a try.
  • There is no IC link between Elejamie (my main) and Placely Placington, just to let everyone know.
  • This nation is a joke nation that was entered solely as a numbers puppet. I do not care how well it does.
Obligatory wacky and "so random" puppet that you all know and are probably sick and tired of, brought to you by Elejamie.

The smaller pie rugby world has won in the Quebecois sporting world has meant that the rugby, as a whole, has taken greater approaches to play professionally alongside other nations in the Quebecois Commonwealth, whose interest and financials allow for international travels. Most of the members of the Quebecois and the Acadianan national teams do play in the Quebecois Commonwealth Rugby SuperLeague, a 16-team league of four nations (Quebec and Shingoryeo, Quebecois Acadiana, Busoga Islands and Quebecois Sudafrique union). Because of this, however, it takes greater efforts for the national team camps or schedules to be put together, and the team's cohesion will likely take years to develop over time.

Replacements:

16 - Ninian Brennand-Sopik - 28 - Koreana
17 - Merrick Lessard - 34 - Gryphons
18 - Hannah McCarron - 26 - Aurochs (Busoga Islands)
19 - Henri Woo - 25 - Koreana
20 - Jean-Noel Taillefront - 32 - Thunderbirds
21 - Julian Reid-Connally - 19 - University of Halifax (Collegiate)
22 - Hong Chang-Soo - 23 - Thunderbirds
23 - Martine Boulouque - 22 - Universite St. Croix (Collegiate)

Quebecois Acadiana Rugby Union National Team

Nickname: Golden Warriors
Acronym: QAC
Denonym: Acadianans
Official Supporters Group: Ochre As One
Style Mod: +5

Head Coach: Yvette Gill-Yuranigh, 40
Lead Assistant Coach: George Hong, 37

Starting XV:
1 - Laurent Laverdisse - 25 - Gryphons (Quebec and Shingoryeo)
2 - Deverick Bae - 30 - Wildrose
3 - Yana Christopoulos - 26 - Aurochs (Busoga Islands)
4 - Matteo S. Agnelli - 22 - University of Attawapiskat (Quebec and Shingoryeo, Collegiate)
5 - Patrice Cassault - 26 - Geomgye
6 - Hector Doolagarl-Doolagarl - 28 - Arlenia
7 - Yeo Seung-Ah - 24 - Arlenia
8 - Hannah Merriman - 28 - Thunderbirds (Quebec and Shingoryeo)
9 - Chase Jarrwanba - 31 - Wildrose
10 - Kaneishi Akihito - 21 - Arlenia
11 - Hamish van Ryk - 23 - St. Germain (Quebecois Sudafrique)
12 - Yi Sang-Seol - 24 - Wildrose
13 - Horace Woodmansey - 33 - Wildrose - CAPTAIN
14 - Kettel Houssiere - 27 - Swans (Quebecois Sudafrique)
15 - Jeanne-Agnes Monceau - 23 - Highlanders (Quebec and Shingoryeo)

Due to the close links between Quebec and Quebecois Acadiana, as well as many Acadianans who have immigrated to Quebec and Shingoryeo in the past century in hopes of better opportunities, split in allegiances do happen among siblings. For this RUWC, there have been two instances, with both national teams featuring the younger sibling staying with Acadiana. Hamish van Ryk, who scored three tries and converted a penalty on the latest Quebec-Acadiana international match held in The Samseongoloondongjang, has committed to Quebecois Acadiana, unlike his sister. The same applied to Laurent Laverdisse who, unlike his sister Helene who committed for the Quebecois national team, made an easy choice to commit to his native Acadianan national team when the opportunity came calling.

Replacements:

16 - Louis Boyd-Webster - 22 - Iggulden University (Quebec and Shingoryeo, Collegiate)
17 - Sally Bayley-Webster - 25 - Hawks (Busoga Islanders)
18 - Nancy Umbarra - 20 - Geomgye
19 - Hamish Beauregard-Shin - 19 - Geomgye

Postby Quintessence of Dust » Sun Jun 27, 2021 4:10 am

Nomenclature: Our country is called Quintessence of Dust, commonly shorted to QoD or Quod (but never Dust). Our people are called Quodites or, rarely, Quintessentials (but never Dusties). Our team is called the All Greys.

Kit: Take a wild guess.

Seriously, it’s all grey.

History: Quintessence of Dust have a proud rugby history which includes being former Rugby World Challenge Cup (international club competition) and Six Nations (international invitational) winners, World Cup runners-up, and World Cup and Six Nations hosts. However, all these transpired over 120 years. Players from that era can reasonably be expected to have passed away or be living in retirement communities on Mars (advances in 22nd century medical science have extended Quodite lives into the 150+ range, but have done nothing to cure the wear and tear of contact sport).

Domestic popularity: Rugby remains the pre-eminent national sport. It has always been the favoured game of the Anglo-French majority (now a minority); it was never taken up as much by the later waves of Fenno-scandian, Eastern and Central European, and Asian immigrants, despite attempts by sports authorities to encourage integration. Token stars from minority communities still tend to get a lot of focus amid attempts to popularise the game outside its northwest support base. Regardless of Quintessence of Dust’s international absence, the Premier League has been rumbling along happily enough for the past century with a largely unchanging roster of teams. A few players choose to play Ultimate Rugby in the Hannasean Federation in search of better pay, or join the Lunar Leagues in their dotage where light contact rules are in force.

Style of play: The All Greys have always lived up to their name with a conservative, defensive style of play with heavy emphasis on relentless forward play, dogged but unspectacular tackling, and tactical kicking from hand. The line-out team of the All Greys’ heyday was semi-legendary. Back play has generally been more limited, relying on crash centres, powerful wingers, and very little in the way of fluidity. A photograph of the backs successfully connecting three consecutive passes is framed in the National Hall of Fame and is considered a rarer artefact than buried treasure.

RP permissions: I have two strict permissions: no RPing my players being involved in violence (heavy tackling is fine but no touchline brawls); and no using photographs and saying they represent my players. Please respect these absolutely.

I have one additional preference, which is not a demand, but a request. Xkoranate scores can be broken down a number of different ways: a team scoring 15 points could have anything from 3T, 0C, to 5DG. My request is that if you assign my points, you do so in a way that minimises unconverted tries. I would rather my team score 5 penalties and 0 tries than 3 or even 1 unconverted try. Additionally, please limit drop goals, my team will be very conservative on this front and really only drop if it’s an 80th minute, 3 point-difference situation.

Given the above rather stiff permission, I will compensate with laxity on all other fronts. You may choose my scorers and even my lineup, assign yellow and red cards, RP injuries, and generally go nuts. Just leave my poor kicking stats alone!

Roster: Default starting XV is listed, with reserves. Some chopping and changing is to be expected, and some positional flexibility permitted (nothing crazy, but obviously the reserve openside can cover No. 8, a reserve lock play blindside, or the backs switch around). Players in bold are returning from RWC29, which occurred 4 years ago in our canon.

Loosehead prop: Archie Evans (Starkresh)
Xue Long (Highmark Zzubs), William Weaver (Toonmar), Jean Marchand (Tourseilles)
Hooker: Alexey Shvets (Combined Veterans)
Liễu Gia Cảnh (New Cleethorpes Deathshriek), Armand Baumé (Tourseilles)
Tighthead prop: Matthew Bishop (Bumpy Biscuits)
Olivier Manaudou (Combined Veterans), Dirk Gester (Albersau)
Locks: Johnny Wortham (New Cleethorpes Deathshriek), Chun Zhu (New Cleethorpes Deathshriek)
Gilles Balzac (Tourseilles), Alfred Chevalier (Combined Veterans
Blindside flanker: Jóhann Sigurðsson (Central)
Thomas Carstensen (Ballat)
Openside flanker: Leo Viau (Priassa)
No. 8: Maximilien Sylvestre (Tourseilles)
Dong Xiang (Nowy Orpington Cellists)
Scrum-half: Jeff London (Highmark Zzubs)
Renaud Féret (Tourseilles)
Stand-off: Ben Dexter (Highmark Zzubs)
Kashiwa Kiyotaka (Combined Veterans)
Centres: Kaoru Koizumi (New Cleethorpes Deathshriek), Jean-Pascal Thiers (Tourseilles)
Jonathan Hegeler (Starkresh), Dáithí O’Glissane (Highmark City Irish)
Wings: Caelan MacManus (Highmark City Irish), Jón Pétur Kristbjörnsson (Toonmar)
Peadar O’Dorcey (Highmark City Irish), Torstein Jensen (Albersau)
Fullback: Takemoto Yasuyuki (Combined Veterans)

Note that in Quodite numbering systems, the inside centre wears 13 and outside 12.

Bollonich RUWC Roster
Bollonischian Rugby Federation

Rugby as a sport in Bollonich isn’t extremely popular however the presence of a number of semi-pro and amateur teams the Bollonischian Rugby Federation has enough players to send to the Rugby Union World Cup in Quebec and Shingoryeo and Ko-oren. Following Bollonich’s Rugby 7’s side reaching the semifinals of the plate rugby’s popularity sky rocketed as this was the first international tournament Bollonich had taken part in long with the World Lacrosse Championship. Everyone was excited as we had made the semifinals resulting in a surge of interest in all forms of rugby, and as Union was the only one played fans flocked to games to witness people play. This made the semi-pro teams very popular with a want for a professional top tier league. Bollonischians don’t like to sit back, instead they go on all out offensives which is a tradition that is also followed by the rugby side. Randal Lorence the head coach of the rugby side also firmly trusts and believes in attacking play which is reflected in her tactics.

This topic is still in process of beautification. Logos, Uniforms and Sponsors should appear later.

Lisander National Rugby Team, The Irises
Ranked 4th (7.00)

Lisander, fourth in the Rugby Union World Rankings (tied with Darmen), comes to this Rugby World Cup as one of the favourites to reach the finals. With Hutanjia out of the competition, the biggest rivals will be the other three green teams. Elejamie and Darmen are widely recognized as "friendly rivals", and Lisander can win or lose against them on a regular basis. The real problem for Leonard Assen is Ko-oren. The Angstgeigers Dragonflies, world ranking leaders are hosting the competition, and if the team ever reach the final match, and if it's against Ko-oren, Greencaster Stadium will be a living hell for the Irises, a psychological drama inside the pitch. But wait, why are we so optimist when we failed to reach semifinals last time? We also can't forget Nova Anglicana. The Lions reached the third place last World Cup, and can't be ignored in no way.

This team, drawn from the best sides in Top 12, is expected to easily win in the group stage, in Quebec and Shingoryeo. The most anticipated game is against Pratapgadh, the other ranked team in the group. For the games against Bollonich and Sredjnaci, it's expected that the Ground Committee composed by Assen and Patricio Bernauer will make use of the newbies of the forwards, Hugo Pilar, Alexandre Brizzi and Lucas Rosa, as well as giving some deserved time to veterans going to their last World Cup, like Alvin St. Jacques, and Matthew Gear. Matthew brother, Maurice, is now part of the Ground Committee, as the Backs coach, as well as Cedric Carrasso, RWC 25 veteran, that returns as Forwards coach. In the battle between Scrum-Halves to know who will be the starter, Maximilian Luna returns to the #9 after a solid season with Victorian Rugby. Christian Alte and Matias Baudelaire disenfranchised Christian Bonnevue and are the two Fly-Halves going to Kingston. Alte and Luna will have to deal with lead a solid line composed by Gear, Stadler, Alfyn and Castell, that is expected to be one of the high-scorers of this World Cup.

Calendar
Matchday 1 - Lisander 39-12 Bollonich (Laurent-Marc Mellis Field, Eastern Beaches)
Matchday 2 - Lisander 41-17 Pratapgadh at Pavel Wilson Stadium, Downtown
Matchday 3 - Srednjaci v Lisander at Laurent-Marc Mellis Field, Eastern Beaches

How Lisander plays
As a nation with a human phenotype considered "Mediterranean" for physical purposes, devoid of a significant amount of very tall players, it was informally established in Lisander rugby that "any player tall and strong enough goes into the forwards pack immediately". That leaves only the most agile and light players for the backs. Lisander rugby therefore places great value on the speed of wings and centres.

Traditionally, pick-and-go and pushing games were avoided, and drop-goals were more frequent, but in recent years, with the game becoming much more physical, the choice between push and drop has become much less obvious. Sports analysts roughly assume that Lisander teams, in an open play situation, will go for the try in about 80% of cases, having the forwards actively pushing the backs in pick-and-go, in the other 20% they will try for the three points only. In penalties, the rate increases to 45% chance of asking for the tee.

The Karvian Chronicle

Sport - Preview : 30th Rugby Union World Cup

Rugby which was previously a completely unknown sport in Bollonich has gained a large number of supporters and fans in the previous year following what was a greatly successful Rugby 7s World Cup campaign. And with the success in Grearia we head to Quebec and Shingoryeo to compete in the 30th Rugby Union World Cup. Having been drawn into group D we come up against opponents such as Srednjaci, Pratapgadh and Lisander. Our first game would be against Lisander the side ranked 4th. This would be a difficult encounter which we will most probably lose but writing us off shan’t do the Lisander players any good as we strike the worst when we are underestimated. On the contrary in the second game we face a side not known in the rugby world, Srednjaci. Srednjaci has been part of many sports and have developed a sort of rivalry against us with the latest instalment of this rivalry being in the Elephant Chess Cup. This game should be a winnable one and one we should win if hopes of qualification are to be kept alive for us. And in the last game we shall come up against a talented and strong side in Pratapgadh who are a strong opponent ranked 18th. Saying this match would be interesting would be an understatement as this even though won’t be a clash between two heavyweights of the rugby world it will be a clash between young, energetic and hungry players which is always set up for a great match up. Overall looking at some other groups it’s clear that we are in one of the toughest groups in the RUWC but we’ve already seen Bollonischians doing well in difficult groups in other competitions and we would like to do the same here.

Bollonich (UR) vs Lisander (4) @ Laurent-Marc Mellis Field, Eastern Beaches
Bollonich (UR) vs Srednjaci (UR) @ OVO Field, Mudeung
Bollonich (UR) vs Pratapgadh (18) @ Laurent-Marc Mellis Field, Eastern Beaches

Context

Politics - Peyton and Spence to go head to head in the second phase of elections

Ahead of the 2021 elections it was again that time before the elections. The time to decide who shall be representing each party in the upcoming presidential elections. And with the first phase of the Liberal party elections wrapping up this week, we here at the Chronicle just had to analyse the more than interesting results. First things first what we expected seemed to happen but so did the unexpected. Terry Spence who had already been a senator of ASG seemed to be in the driving seat ahead of the elections with Charli Zoë being popular among mainly the leftists of the Liberal Party. But the thing that has always defined the Liberals is their central position on the socio-economic scale meaning that Verna Peyton had quite a huge amount of support as Liberals naturally don’t want socialism to become a thing while they will also want Terry’s militaristic views from not being implemented. If we look at the elections from only the perspective of ideology preferred by party members it seems clear that Peyton would win by a landslide. But you see politics are not so simple, popularity is frankly far more important than whether a slight majority of people have the same beliefs as you. The Liberals knew that fielding a basically unknown candidate could potentially be a catastrophic move compared to Terry who has the popular support especially in states such as ASG, Vreton and Tentonia. But Peyton also has the support of the youth who align with the Liberal Party. These factors resulted in what would a hugely important decision to make for each and every member of the Liberal Party. And unexpectedly it was Peyton who got the popular vote with 31% of the vote as she and Terry shall be competing against each other in phase two of the Liberal representative elections. Terry won 28% of the vote showing how evenly split the vote was and that all candidates got a fair chunk of it. This shows the broad spectrum of views present in the Liberal Party while also showing where they are concentrated. Peyton’s win in the initial rounds should not be considered as a victory for her in the next one as things could drastically change as has been seen in the past.

RUWC 30 - Ko-orenite National Team - The Dragonflies
Image

Crazy scenes when Ko-oren and Quebec & Shingoryeo were awarded the World Cup! Just about every Ko-orenite knows that the Dragonflies have been a little on the successful side across the last few of these tournaments. In fact, the Quebecois co-hosts have been graceful enough to allow the final to be held in Ko-oren... which means that the pressure is on: the hunt for the third straight championship is on, and might culminate in Greencaster. At the same time, the purists know just how damaging that might be to the sport as a whole, and we'd love to run into Elejamie in the semifinal instead of the final for a change.

However, in a field of contenders that's larger than ever with some talent among the unranked sides (the Grearish Union, TJUN-ia, Bollonich, Copper Cuprum, and the Licentian Isles), the road to the final will be even rockier than in events past. And with a partially overhauled squad that lacks some of the finesse and experience of the previous iterations: the pressure is on. And in several cases, that pressure lies squarely on some 21- and 22-year-old shoulders - not the place where you want pressure to be.

Backs
The fullback is tremendously important to the Ko-orenite game in keeping the defence tight. Having looked at (and suffered at the hand of) the Darmeni two-fullback system, that is employed in some troublesome times as well. For the rest, Bartley's explosive speed, as well as Bebenna's world class handling and running, have to do some heavy lifting. All players selected are defensively secure, as that's still the Dragonflies' bread and butter. Watch out for the Grain, Finnerty, and Morimoto combination, who all play at the Comets together.

Fullbacks
Meobich yPheffchawll (26) - Mawrystwyth Phoenix
Sinclair Ewell (23) - Greencaster Galaxy
Melton Scenay (29) - Idyllwild Coronae

Wingers
Newell Bartley (22) - Willowbourne Foxes
Rowland Sheehan (30) - Eaglebury Aquila (VC)
Orville Finnerty (26) - Ansonville Comets

Centres
Cecil Grain (31) - Ansonville Comets
Burrula Bebenna (22) - Tarrashall Travellers
Masahiko Morimoto (22) - Ansonville Comets
Dwight Carrington (21) - Eaglebury Aquila

Halves
Kicking is another important part of the game, and the halves are most often looked at to choose when and where to do it. Whithingham is a fantastic half, a member of previous national teams, and should direct the team wherever it needs to go. yCawslall is here more for experience, and Wilmer is the veteran. French is another household name, and at 33, this might be his last tournament. For now, he'll still dig into rucks and mauls to get the ball out. Kyes is the next best thing - and look out for that Aquilan connection here - but beyond Whithingham and French this unit is somewhat low on talent.

Fly-halves
Nimrod Whithingham (26) - Eaglebury Aquila (C)
Ffarhodd yCawslall (23) - Penstead Bears
Eldon Wilmer (31) - Maynard Andromeda

Scrum-halves
Linwood French (33) - Aubury Swans
Arrin Kyes (26) - Eaglebury Aquila

Forwards
They'll never give up and can always get extra effort out of their tired bodies, the forwards are typically all-rounders in that they can tackle very well and run somewhat alright. The Bulls and Wanderers-Vulpecula supply an over-average number of players here. All in all, it's Grootemarsink, Bashford, and Holden to watch out for, and it was a struggle to find a nice platter of different ages. On the whole, the coaches went for players that are a bit younger than in selections of the past.

Number 8
Levi Guillan (25) - Ansonville Comets
Mayra Reejulga (24) - Idyllwild Coronae

Flankers
Bayou Grootemarsink (22) - Tarrashall Travellers
Ddeochran yMwbnhewf (25) - Llandy Bulls
Joseph Meahon (29) - Idyllwild Coronae

Locks
Quatermain Bashford (28) - Aubury Swans (VC)
Llafawm yMhalmawm (26) - Llandy Bulls
Al Jauffret (26) - Greencaster Galaxy
Mirrygoora Timboine (25) - Mayara Wanderers-Vulpecula

Props
Newddlawdd yTewnchaeg (32) - Llandy Bulls
Cowan Holden (24) - Mayara Wanderers-Vulpecula
Merlin Sherris (19) - Aubury Swans
Riyu Iwayama (23) - Mawrystwyth Phoenix

Hookers
Gonlhewff yDichhig (23) - Penstead Bears
Beddwr yFhiflar (32) - Llandy Bulls

Style & Strategy
Style mod: -5. Ko-oren plays an extremely risk-averse style with an emphasis on kicking (both defensively and offensively).

Trivia
At home, Ko-oren will wear a mainly green jersey with blue and yellow trim. As an away jersey (and to avoid colour clashes), there's stories of a white jersey with green and blue trim lying somewhere in a supply closet, but we're sure the staff managed to find them in time.

Hamsters forced to eat humble pie rather than tasty sunflower seeds

Jose Valbuena held his nerve to hit a 35 yard penalty that gave TJUN-ia a deserved win over Hannasea in the opening game of the Rugby World Cup. The result proves a huge setback to the Hamsters’ hopes of making it out of Group B and makes their coming encounter with world ranked #7 Nova Anglicana a virtual elimination match. “It’s not how we wanted to start,” admitted a rueful captain Joe Hunter after the game. “Before the game, we went to a fortune teller who predicted the game would be won by a savage animal: it never occurred to us she might have been talking about Jaguars rather than Hamsters.”

Whatever was written in the stars, it certainly wasn’t “good scrummaging”. Once more the front row proved the Hamsters’ weakness (one could say Achilles heel if all their other limbs weren’t pretty crap too), and while Valbuena won the match with his boot, the real man of the match was Derek van Oosteren, who scrummaged all three of the Hannasean tightheads off the park. Humiliatingly, replacement Cooper Hewson had to himself be replaced. Again and again the Jaguars won penalties at the scrum, leading to the costly penalties that Valbuena steadily, if not always consistently, accumulated to put the Jaguars over the line.

It was not a game of scintillatingly open play from either team. The best move produced the only try of the game, with Pearl City Icelandic 10-12 pairing Tom Pickett and Jay Parker putting together an excellent set of passes to send over Ryan Perry. Two years ago, Pickett and Parker were duelling for the same starting fly-half position, with rumours that Olympic Sevens hero Parker might move overseas after a lack of playing time in Ultimate Rugby, but have since combined well for club with Parker’s move to 12. The hope they could repeat the trick at international level looked to have come true when Pickett jinked inside Valbuena and fed Parker with a sharp pass, who forced Kennedy Vakatawa to commit to the tackle, freeing up Perry, who needed no second invitation.

But it was the sole moment of invention in the game. Pickett hit the difficult touchline conversion but was otherwise wayward from the tee; Parker made a crunching goal line tackle to deny Shojiro Karakurenai, the closest the Jaguars came to a try. But otherwise they were ineffectual, and saw little of the ball as the scrum again and again failed them. “We don’t have time to mourn and lick our wounds,” admitted Hunter, who said he did not expect “major changes” for the Nova Anglicana game.

    Hannasea 10 (10)
Wright; Price (Dawson 64’), Campbell, Parker, Ryan; Pickett, Marshall; Hopkins, Burke (Lewis 55’), Bennett (Hewson 35’ (Brown 68’)); Porter, Graham; Horne (Williamson 64’), Hunter (Harvey 63’), Perry (Moore 79’)

    Tries: Perry (35’)
    Conversions: Pickett 1/1 (35’)
    Penalties: Pickett 1/4 (13’, 31’, 54’, 73’)

    TJUN-ia 12 (3)

    Penalties: Valbuena 4/7 (18’, 39’, 43’, 47’, 56’, 71’, 78’)

Dave Carrey's Guide to the 30th Rugby World Cup
Dave Carrey - Kingston, Quebec

A disappointing case of deja vu. We went into the tournament as one of the favourites, especially since we were hoping to shake off that disappointing final defeat in the final before. We had our opening bye day before we smashed the United States of Devonta 41-14. We then followed it up with a more conservative 13-7 win over Aji no Moto and a 23-0 shut-out of Baggieland to stake our claim at the top of the group. Finally, to round things off, we grabbed a 37-17 win over the Fancy Bois, your standard one-and-done team. Say what you want about our defending, especially during the win over the Fancy Bois, but our offense was completely stellar as evidenced by the 114 points we put up in total (meaning we scored just 28.5 points per game). The scoring train kept on coming as we then went on to shut Sajnur out 31-0 before we slowed down a bit as we were up against Darmen in a quarter-final to remember as the unstoppable forces beat the immovable objects 12-3. After a 10-0 win against Nova Anglicana in a rainy match that was absolute hell to watch at the stadium, and probably on TV as well, we were up against Ko-oren yet again in the final.

Out with the old: Bruce Hernández, who
was sadly unable to retire with a second
Rugby World Cup trophy.
Oh how we were hoping that the hosts Hutanjia had made it instead. Not because Ko-oren a bad team, they're currently the #1 in the world for a very good reason, but because we didn't really want a third straight final of Elejamie vs. Ko-oren for the same reason no one wanted three straight Elejamie vs. Valanora finals in the World Cup of Hockey before everything apparently went to stuff over there. But instead we had to face our newest rivals yet again, although whether or not we'll have a cup competition much like the Tillman Trophy that we contest with Lisander still remains to be seen. I hope we do, it'd make it that more competitive. Anyway, the Dragonflies kicked off their campaign with a 14-14 draw against Neu Engollon before shutting out Terre Septentrionale 10-0, Kriegiersien 24-0 and beating Dursea 20-7 to finish top of their group with 14 points; while they tied with Neu Engollon, they managed to finish ahead on point difference (+47 to +23). From there it was shut-outs galore as they beat Savojarna 10-0, the Quintessence of Dust 26-0 and hosts Hutanjia 7-0 to make it to a third consecutive final against us. Where they beat us 14-8 thanks to a try each from Tei Warmeling and Sinclair Ewell and two conversions from Linwood French, compared to an unconverted try from Armando Tavarez and a penalty from Paul Debenham.

Let's hope we can keep that in the past now. After all, new tournament so hopefully some new and different things. Such as how we've got a joint host, our first since the 21st edition. Groups A-D, which will be our half, will be played in Kingston over in Quebec. Yes, just the one city will host all four groups. Furthermore, it won't be a simple case of each group having their base camp at each stadium but rather each stadium will take it in turns to host each bit of the competition. Two will be Downtown, albeit two different parts of Downtown, one will by in the Mudeung district and the other will be on the Eastern Beaches. Groups E-H, however, will be held in Ko-oren. There it won't be a city hosting each group but rather two regions will host each group, which'll make it a bit more pick-and-mix with where what stadium will host what match, but that'll also add a bit more variety to each game so there won't be much to complain about if anything at all. In fact, I think it's quite a decent idea as well so it should hopefully lead to some fun games.

But enough backstory, let's take a look at our group, which'll be Group C. So who are our first opponents? Desotania. They're pretty much new to the competition and, like always, I can't seem to find any information about them. No idea on their players or any teams, no idea on the tournament structure or if there's a pyramid, no idea on how popular the sport is in their nation. So naturally this should be an easy win. Not necessarily a high-scoring affair since we very rarely manage those but they should still pose little to no threat to us.

Then we move away from Downtown to travel to the Eastern Beaches for our second bash. The Laurent-Marc Mellis Field will play host to our game against HUElavia. Fortunately they were at the last Rugby World Cup so I have something to talk about here. They kick-started their campaign with a 7-7 draw against a team I will mention much later before losing 7-0 to a nation called Space, presumably not the entirety of outer space. This was then followed by a 13-6 loss to Abanhfleft before they finally grabbed a shock 10-6 win over Kelssek, who had hosted the tournament before. While it sadly came too little too late, it did mean that they finished right in the middle of their group, just ahead of the aforementioned Space team on point difference (-10 compared to -13). They will have something to build on and they will be much hungrier, although I still don't think they'll cause us that many problems.

And, finally, we return to the Trinity Stadium to play against Hebitaka. They were also at the last Rugby World Cup, which was also their inaugural competition, and they didn't fare that well either. Their sole highlight was the 7-7 draw against HUElavia that I mentioned in the previous paragraph, simply because it was their only match that didn't end in a defeat. Yes, that's right, they earned their only set of non-bonus points in this opening game. After that came their bye day, which they could've used to train extra hard for their next few matches. a disappointing 17-3 defeat to the Space team, a 19-12 loss to group leaders Abanhfleft which gave them their only other point (a losing bonus point) and a 27-10 smacking by Kelssek. As a result, they finished dead last in their group with 3 points overall and a point differential of -38. Not the worst at the competition but they should've done a bit better. Again, a win won't be out of the ordinary but let's not get complacent.

In with the new: Emilio García, the
Iceland Panthers flanker who'll be
replacing him.
So how do I think we'll do? Another unsurprising top of the group finish really. I wouldn't necessarily compare it to grown men against schoolboys but there's no doubt that we'll get some good-scoring wins against these guys. Two of them were in the same group last time and they both failed to make it out of the group stage. One of them failed to win a single game, even. The other, meanwhile, is a newbie who might not appear for the next tournament. So, as cocky as this sounds, I think we've got this one in the bag. The big question is who'll be joining us in the next round and HUElavia scratches my itch more than Hebitaka, so I'll say they're making it into the Round of 16.

So who'll be in the other groups in the Quebecois half? The hosts of this half will be in Group A alongside Kelssek and two newcomers in The Grearish Union (who hosted the most recent Rugby Sevens World Cup where they finished second from last in their group with two wins and four losses but bounced back in style to win the Bowl) and Malandrin. Group B consists of Nova Anglicana who grabbed the bronze in Hutanjia, TJUN-ia who are an established force in many other sports but are new to cricket and Quebecois Acadiana who I don't know much about. And Group D is made up of Lisander, Pratapgadh, Srednajci (whose soccer sides performed and are performing quite well in the IBA Champions League) and Bollonich, who probably won't be super good here but give them a couple of tournaments and they'll be a formidable side.

What about the Ko-orenite half? Who'll be competing there? The hosts of this half, as well as the current reigning world champions, will be in Group E alongside Baggieland, the Natanians and Nosts (who I must admit that I'm kind of falling out of love with) and Arjunnagar. Group F will see Darmen try and be their high-defending selves as they take on Barunia, San Ortelio and Ingla Terra. Group G has Abanhfleft, the Test Subjects of Placely Placington (although hopefully there'll be fewer bloodbaths, both literally and figuratively, now that they've got some experience), sevens regulars and an overall entertaining team Kriegiersien, and the rather concerningly named Hatefulness. And, finally, we have Group H, which can easily be summed up as the Group of Death. Why's that? Alice Bay, who may not be as good as their bigger brothers Lisander but are still a respectable side; the Quintessence of Dust, an old name from back in the day who's made a comeback in style; Copper Cuprum, whose chicken slaughtering skills make them the ire of animal rights activists and whose rugby skills can frustrate their opposition; and The Licentian Isles, who were a big team back in the day but will face a bit of an uphill battle in their return to supremacy. Yes, it'll be a fun group for everyone watching and I can't wait to see which two teams will end up reigning supreme.

Anything else? Yes. Bruce Hernández retired at the end of last season at the age of 36 and, as a result, he's been replaced by Emilio García. While I do think that Arturo Cortes should've been given the starter instead, as he has had some international experience and thus is a lot less green when it comes to this sort of thing, García has had a bumper season for the Panthers and has shown he can scrum with the best of them. It probably also helps that he's that little bit heavier than Cortes; 110kg compared to 106kg. And a second thing of note is that Dan Mitchell has announced that he's considering retiring from international rugby at some point in the next few years. While he hasn't given an exact date of when he'll be going through with this, we still wish him the best with his twilight years on the pitch and hope he'll be able to hold aloft the Rugby World Cup trophy once again. With all of that out of the way, let's sit back, relax and watch some good rugby action.
