The IBA World Cup of Motorsport
OOC/Sign-ups Thread
Team & Circuit Signups Deadline: 2, July, 8pm UK time (19:00 UTC)

IBA General Thread | OOC Information

The IBA World Cup of Motorsport aims to be the new flagbearer in global motorsport. Whilst other popular series are ruled by money, with the richest teams who are willing to throw the most amounts of dollars at the car tending to grace the spots of the podium, the IBA think differently. We believe that the best drivers should be the winners. No more, no less. What makes the World Cup unique is that every driver and every team is on an even playing field. Whilst technical knowhow of the pit crew will naturally be tested, at the end of the day, it will be the drivers' own raw skill that will bring the cup home for their country.

Which nation will be the fastest on four wheels?

NOTE: Signups for the World Cup of Motorsport, through either team, driver or circuit, will only be accepted for members of the International Broadcast Alliance, e.g. all members appearing in the following list in this link. If you wish to take part, you can easily sign up your broadcaster as an IBA member by following the instructions in the thread. Puppets WILL be allowed and treated as seperate nations, but in the event of having to prune users/circuits, the puppets will take precedence.

Team Signups

Every driver that wishes to take part in the World Cup of Motorsport must do so taking part in a team. The team will be representative of that driver's country, and all points gained in the WCoM shall earned for the team. As a result, there is no specific Driver's Championship, but a World Cup that represents what would be the team championship in a regular racing series.

If your team is registered, with at least one valid driver, it will be in the World Cup, provided the maximum entry limit of 30 teams has not been reached. Additionally, puppets are allowed, but a nation will only be allowed to send ONE additional puppet. The puppet nation may be asked to de-list as a team if new nations apply to enter after the maximum limit of 30 nations is reached.

To sign up a team, complete the following form:

TEAM SIGNUP
Team Name:
Team Trigram:
Team Colour:

Team Bio (optional):

TEAM NAME: The name of the team should ideally be your nation, or contain the name of your nation.

TEAM TRIGRAM: The three-character trigram of your nation.

TEAM COLOUR: The hex-code colour that will be displayed next to your nation in race results/standings. Please give one colour in hex-code (e.g. #800080)

TEAM BIO: Anything you'd like to put in regarding your team's set up, racing history, or anything else. Whilst it's not necessary, a good bio will naturally lead to a good springboard for RP.

Driver Signups

A team also, naturally, needs drivers. All drivers included must solely represent the team's nation of origin. Whilst up to two drivers can be assigned to a team, only one driver can be racing for the team at any one time, with discretion of who drives up to the team. A team HAS to have at least one driver to be classed as an official team.

DRIVER SIGNUP
Driver Name:
Nationality:
Preferred Number:
Second Preferred Number:
Reliability (Between 2 and 5):
Aggression (Between 2 and 5):
Technique (Between 2 and 5):

Driver Bio:

DRIVER NAME: This is, naturally, the name of the driver. As with NS Sport, the driver may be male, female, human, cat-humanoid hybrid, or whatever you damn well please. The IBA reminds all drivers that whilst the WCoM committee hold no grudges or issues with the many wonderful creatures that inhabit our multiverse, changes in vehicle aerodynamics, weight and driver safety are the responsibility of the teams themselves. It's not our job to ensure that a robot made of fog can wear a racing suit, this should have been dealt with in your national motorsporting association.

NATIONALITY: This is the nationality of the driver. A driver will only be allowed to represent a team within their own nationality. Nationality in this case is an open-ended affair, be it defined by land, by blood or by other spurious methods.

PREFERRED NUMBER: The driver's preferred car number. The number may be any number between 2-99 inclusive, with 1 reserved for the returning World Cup defenders in future series at the driver's discretion. If numbers clash, secondary numbers will be taken in consideration, with priority and who signs up first being taken into account. If both numbers are taken, the IBA will personally contact the nation in question for a third preferred option.

RELIABILITY, AGGRESSION AND TECHNIQUE: Driver ability is split into three categories: reliability, aggression and technique.

Reliability: A driver's ability to manage the car. A driver with high reliability will be less likely to DNF a race, tend to crash less, and mistakes will tend to be less costly.
Aggression: A driver's ability to get maximum speed from their car, and to find the perfect overtaking changes. A driver with high aggression will do better at circuits that are faster and more open.
Technique: A driver's ability to handle the car through the tightest sections of the hardest tracks. A driver with high technique will do better at circuits that are slower and tighter.

A driver must have a score of between 2 and 5 in each of the three categories (decimals allowed), however, the maximum total score a driver may receive is 12 points. A driver MAY have fewer than 12 points, if they choose to, but they will suffer the performance decrease as a result.

DRIVER BIO: A short general biography of your driver. Age, experience, favourite circuit, golf handicap, it's all fair play in here.

Circuit Signups

Of course, the World Cup requires tracks to race on. The World Cup of Motorsport plans to host the greatest circuits in the world, with a wide variety of circuits to host every aspect of racing. Each nation may submit a maximum of two circuits, but a maximum of one will be used per nation.

Signing up a circuit is not a guarantee that the circuit will be used in the season. Depending on circuits supplied, the season is planned to be 10-12 races in length, with additional testing sessions if necessary. A mix of technical and speed circuits will be used throughout the season, with the predominant factor in the selection being which circuits can best strike the balance necessary.

A track image (maximum size 900x900 px) MUST be included with your circuit signup to be considered a valid signup.

Additionally, no oval circuits will be accepted (roval courses i.e. a road course that utilises part of an oval circuit, such as the Indianapolis Formula 1 circuit, will be allowed). Real Life circuits as a base will be allowed, but original circuit designs will be favoured.

CIRCUIT SIGNUP

Race Name:
Lap Record (F1/WGPC Car):
Track Length (km):
Wet Race Chance (1-15):
Overtaking Difficulty (0.1-5):
Error Punishment (0.1-5):
Aggressiveness (1-10):
Technicality (1-10):

Circuit Bio:

TRACK IMAGE: This must be a link (max 900x900px) of the circuit diagram, or an especially clear photograph of the circuit, showing the track in its entirety.

CIRCUIT NAME: The name of the circuit, e.g. 'Circuit of the Americas'

LOCATION: The town/city the circuit is situated in e.g. Circuit of the Americas is based in Austin

COUNTRY: The country in which the circuit is situated e.g. Circuit of the Americas is based in the United States."

RACE NAME: This determines the name of the race as given in the WCoM season e.g. "United States Grand Prix". Translations into national languages will be accepted e.g. "Grand Prix de Monaco"

LAP RECORD: What's the fastest lap ever driven in a Formula 1-spec car?

TRACK LENGTH: How long is the circuit in kilometers? Tracks should generally fit within the boundary of 3.5-6.0 km.

WET RACE CHANCE: How likely is the track to be a wet race on the day? This is given as a percentage between 1 and 15, with the expected average of an F1-esque European summer race being around 3%.

OVERTAKING DIFFICULTY: How easy is it to overtake on the circuit? The lower the numbers, the easier it should be for overtakes to happen. Generally, fast, wide circuits with a few hard braking zones should allow for easier overtaking.

ERROR PUNISHMENT: How badly is spinning or going wide punished? Lower numbers should punish spinouts or wide runs less, with wider roads or tarmac runoff instead of grass/gravel/a wall. Street circuits tend to have high numbers here, typically around 4.5.

AGGRESSIVENESS & TECHNICALITY: What kind of driver does well on this circuit? A track high in aggressiveness will be much faster, open to overtaking, with simpler turns whilst a circuit that rewards technical skill is usually slower, with tricky complexes of many different varieties of corner to navigate. Both the Aggressiveness and Technicality for a track MUST add up to exactly 10 to be considered a valid circuit bid.

BIO: A description of the track. Typical things here include a history of the track, or perhaps a simulation of one lap of the circuit.

Team sign-up is fine, the trigam needs to be the tri-gram for your nation, not your team. I've put your nation in the team name too.

Both the Aggressiveness and Technicality for a track MUST add up to exactly 10 to be considered a valid circuit bid, yours is currently adding up to 9.

That's the only thing stopping it from being a valid track submission, but a couple of things you might want to consider:
- I'm thinking the lap record's a bit high for this? Or maybe you need to increase the length? F1 cars get round Monza a WHOLE lot quicker than 2:16 (fastest lap in 2020 was 1:22'746)
- Also, for a really fast track like this, you probably should have the aggressiveness be the higher number here. I think you might have gotten the wrong end of the stick with 'aggressiveness'. It doesn't mean difficult, it means the ability to be aggressive on the throttle, e.g. wider, faster

TEAM SIGNUP
Team Name: Team Togonistan by Domerton
Team Trigram: TGN
Team Colour: #201802

Team Bio (optional): Upon receiving news about IBA World Cup of Motorsport, Togonistani Motorsports Association opened bidding process in order to find a suitable outfit to take over the Togonistani team slot in the championship. It was widely expected that Kaylan Racing Team, the motorsports division of a Togonistani automobile manufacturer, would take charge of running the outfit in WCOM. However, Kaylan, being occupied with running teams in World Grand Prix 2 as well as Togonistani Track Racing League and Rallycross Leagues, decided to pass on the offer, leaving 3 other teams into consideration by TMA.

Eventually, it was announced that Domerton Motorsports would be taking charge of operating the Togonistani WCOM team instead. Based in the city of Hwoarang, Domerton is a decently well established outfit with previous experience from domestic Togonistan Track Racing League as well as Novapax-based WGP3 ENZ Championship. While being their fiercest rivals in TTRL, Domerton is still known for having a good relationship with Kaylan and it is expected that while Domerton would be in charge of the team, some sort of technical support would come from Kaylan for the season as well. For WCOM, Domerton hopes to leave their branding in the team name if the organizers allow it.

Nationality: Togonistani
Preferred Number: 12
Second Preferred Number: 69
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 4

Driver Bio: Born in Incendia, Togonistan. Darian Vilau is champion of the maiden season of WGP3 ENZ Championship, a member of Kaylan Prospect Program and current reserve and development driver for Kaylan's WGP2 team. As part of partnership between Kaylan and Domerton, Vilau is expected to represent Team Togonistan in a number of rounds during the season while simultaneously filling duties back at his home team whenever needed.

Nationality: Togonistani
Preferred Number: 61
Second Preferred Number: 62
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 4
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 3

Driver Bio: Born in Kalzan, Togonistan. Fuga started his racing career in karting at the age of 10 and progressed to higher categories of the sport over time, making his open-seater debut with Xelarate Racing Academy in the first season of WGP3 ENZ Championship, where he ended up 17th with a single point to his name. Having spent the rest of year in various different competitions on the domestic level, Fuga returned to WGP3 for the next season, partnering Natanyan driver Sasha Thornsk in Domerton. Having gained more experience and confidence, Fuga ended his second WGP3 season 6th in the standings. With the young Togonistani having a valid contract with the team until the next year, he is expected to participate in a few rounds of WCOM with the team, most likely to step in when Vilau is needed to fill other duties during some rounds.

Circuit Name: Hwoarang Racing Circuit
Location: Hwoarang
Country: Togonistan
Race Name: World Cup Race of Togonistan
Lap Record (F1/WGPC Car): 1:10.103
Track Length (km): 4.025 km
Wet Race Chance (1-15): 7
Overtaking Difficulty (0.1-5): 2
Error Punishment (0.1-5): 0.5
Aggressiveness (1-10): 7
Technicality (1-10): 3

Circuit Bio: Hwoarang Racing Circuit, located at the outskirts of the city of Hwoarang, is a race track built in 2002 at the area of an old abandoned military airfield. With the length of 4.025km, it is the biggest racing circuit in the nation.

When the airfield closed in 1998, it was left unused and it didn't take long until local street racers took it over as a good place for hosting their drag race competitions. However, eventually, local authorities also found out about the events happening there. The City Council liked the fact that local motorsports enthusiasts had found a use for the airstrip and they quickly started plans for turning the area into an actual raceway. Work started in 2000 and the racetrack was opened to the public two years later. Over the time, the track has constantly been upgraded and built to fit the needs of as many different racing disciplines as possible.

Over the course of the years, the track has been used to host various motorsport competitions, some of the more notable ones being WGP2 Season 1 Hwoarang GP, TTRL Hwoarang Challenge and Hwoarang 24h Endurance Cup.

The 4.025 km-long track is one of the fastest tracks in the whole Novapax region. Built on top of the old military airbase, the surface is generally very flat and the elevation changes during the course are almost non-existent. With multiple airstrips integrated to the circuit, the wide straights allow for great overtaking opportunities with the use of slipstreaming, accompanied with some sharp corners at the end to truly pull of some spectacular maneuvers. The long runoffs on the either side of the track can encourage the drivers to truly go for risks during the race.

Eriksson finished the season on 8th place, with 34 points in total (and 34 points more than his teammate Tavita Fualema). Backed by his family-owned company that produces Relief vitamin water, the additional funding he brings to the team is expected to help the team comfortably get through the season. While Larsen is expected to drive for the team for the majority of the season, Eriksson is more than likely to get a shot in a couple of rounds as well.

TEAM SIGNUP
Team Name: Grande Scuderia Nekoni
Team Trigram: NEK
Team Colour: #1884ae

Team Bio: The badge of GSN, to the people of Nekoni, has always been negative, thanks to its actions in the national football leagues. In football, it's always been the team of money over talent, buying the best players that money can buy without qualification of their skill, and the last few years of the team, finishing in mid table mediocrity, only getting 5th in the 2020-21 S-League, seemed like a fitting punishment to this fable. A team that solely wanted to drive the soul out of the sport it played, wanting to reduce it to an accountant's exercise of figures and statistics.

The thing is...there was a reason for that.

GSN figured from the start that football was getting above its own head. Since the early 2000s, other leagues were reaching out internationally at the detriment of their national game to get whatever players they could to bolster their sides to make their national league the best ever. The Grand Scuderia took that model, but they knew that the money was never going to them. It would be going to the other sports that the country wanted to play in. With stakes in rugby, cricket, athletics, tennis and, above all, motor racing, the GSN has a flow in every major sport in the country, under the selfless ideal that as long as you wear the colours and represent the country on the main stage, you're doing the right thing.

La Scuderia demands the elite to represent the nation. And when they find it, God help you.

Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 3.75

Driver Bio: Mika Neretti has something to prove. A young, bright light in the Superformula Nekoni, absolutely dominating the 2018 season in a manner never before seen, Mika seems to be caught in a crossroads between the bright lights and fame of her national success, and her seemingly impenetrable inability to break into the international stage. Her first foray, in WGPC2, failed miserably, with her finishing third from last, a clutch fourth position on the last race moving her off of the root of the championship table. Admittedly, she got back in the car far too soon after her major accident at the Varea 24hr Race on New Year's Eve 2018. Her arm and leg hadn't recovered fully. But she's back to full strength now. The major question is, has her mind done the same?

Circuit Name: Circuit de la Boisse

Race Name: WCoM Grand Tour de Nékoni
Lap Record: 1:10.264
Track Length: 4.357 (2.708 miles)
Wet Race Chance: 4.5
Overtaking Difficulty: 2.2
Error Punishment: 1.9
Aggressiveness: 4
Technicality: 6

Circuit Bio: The MO of Nekoni has been, in the modern era of global expansion, to give as many circuits as possible a chance at international representation. This new venture, just outside of the capital, Nekoni, is no exception, and this potential race, along with its slot in the WGP2, will help cement this forgotten track's legacy for good. The Boisse circuit has been a relative unknown in Nekoni, being created in 1987, yet not seeing any serious racing action for most of its life, despite a prime location so close to the biggest city in the country, thanks to its proximity to the city drastically limiting the amount of racing it can actually do, as well as its overall size being felt by some as being not quite big enough to hold the grand WGPC circus. Now, though, it's finally getting the recognition some believe it always deserved.

La Boisse has been virtually untouched since the first Tarmac was dropped onto the suburban grounds over three decades ago, save for an vastly needed update to the pit garages, and as a result, there's a feeling of the classics to it: there's a well planned mix of corners here, all designed to flow into each other, yet still some surprises to keep the wariest of drivers on their toes. The first part of the circuit is a 770 metre sprint eastwards, slightly descending into the first two turns, some simple constant radius rights. The driver needs to use the momentum of the turns into the following chicane, but it's not as difficult as it may look. It's wide enough that during qualifying, it almost can be taken as a single turn. In a race situation, on lap 1? Perhaps not.

The next turn is one of the two slow corners on the circuit, but carrying too much speed through the chicane shouldn't be too much of a problem for a good driver. Passing through the next right sweeper at turn 6 is vital to a good lap, as a long straight comes next. The first half has a slight banking to aid the driver with this, but care must be taken, as the banking disappears at the rather rude bend at turn 7. Mess it up, and the following near-kilometre straight is going to be a long, embarrassing time.

The 950m blast along the back sends drivers over a hill, with a lovely view of the capital being visible at around the two-thirds mark. There's a tiny bend to the run, but it's trivial. After all, the driver's eyes will be more intrigued on how to exit the next actual turn. It's the most difficult point on the circuit, turn eight, and for good reason. The entry is blind, a nasty little trick, which means the driver has to brake for it well before they'd usually think to. Hitting the apex right on 8 sets the car up sublimely for turn 9, and you'd need all of that momentum to carry you through the next part: Heartbreak Hill.

To the bird's eye view, the next section resembles merely some decently-flowed S-curves. However, there's elevation changes here. Positive camber on the lead in to 12. Negative camber on the lead out from 13. Many, many laps have come a cropper here, from drivers that haven't taken each curve individually and with the respect that the Hill demands, and to take the car to the hard right at 14 at speed without breaking flow takes a lot of skill, and a whole lot more balls. Sliding out isn't a physical danger, thanks to the decent amount of gravel, but you can easily kill a winning run here.

Once you're out of the slow right, you enter the stadium section to finish off the lap, a succession of simple mid-speed corners to calm the nerves down, allow you to pit if needs be, then cut the apex at 20 and blast it to start the next lap.

Repost due to me forgetting to post drivers. Ups, my bad.
I also added more information as well to flesh up my signup.

Team Name: Dëritee Offical Racing Team
Team Trigram: DMN
Team Colour: Crimson Red and Lemon-Yellow

Team Bio (optional):
Dëritee is Darkmania's flagship car brand as well as having a lot of history, being founded in 1919. Given their recent success in WGP3 ENZ Championship where they came 2nd in the Teams Standings, it was decided that they will be entering the series as well, with the knowledge they learned.

The Darkmanian Motorsport Union has given their support for "DORT" as Darkmania's team representative for The IBA World Cup of Motorsport. It shall however be noted that they are officially a works team.

Circuit Bio:
Welcome to Säkkavëllo.

Säkkavëllo is a quiet small town with 135 000 inhabitants. Säkkavëllo also is known as the "motor capital of Darkmania", due to its history involving the darkmanian car brand "Dëritee". Dëritee was founded there by Jäkup Dëritee and Rëlser Dëritee in 1919 as the brother wanted some form of "car of the people". It will also be noted that Jäkup visited "a far-away land" from 1915 to 1917 where he learned "from someone whose name is known globally today as a brand name of the automobile". Jäkup's new wisdom has since become reality as today, Dëritee is the single biggest company in Darkmania, with all of their darkmanian located car-plants providing 10% of all darkmanian labour force. As a tribute, Säkkavëllo is where the headquarters to Dëritee are located, having been located there since 1946.

"Säkkavëllo International Raceway", was opened in 1981 originally as a test track for Dëritee, it is today mostly used for national motorsport events. The tracks are fast, it goes up and down faster than you can get used to, and is located at a picturesque hillside, this will be a fan favourite for sure. The blue-white curbing, with as much grass, as you can see. If you make one mistake your car (or bike) will be spinning, with 55% of all mistakes often giving you a free ride to the barriers.

"King Ertërmias", as he is called, am the 2011 darkmanian rally champion as well as the runner-up from 2014 to 2016. And don't forget that he came 2nd at the WGP3 ENZ Championship. He might be old, at 33 years old, but age doesn't matter.

Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 5

After a test in the spring that surprised everyone within the darkmanian motorsport community where he set the fasted lap twice in a test held at a weekend, one of the days being held doing a thunderstorm. While he did spin into the gravel trap afterwards, the DMU has decided that it was time to put him into the Young Drivers program and will be racing alongside Ertërmias. Krÿster may not has the experience since this is his first time in a racing car after having spent his time in go-kart since he was 6. But now the 17-year-old will takes his steps toward his goal; WGPC.

Circuit Bio: The Arkhar circuit was built a long time ago by the citizens of Enrít, who were bored of having nothing to do. The first driver to race there was Outrick Meribourne, who did a quick test of the circuit. The low aggressiveness of this circuit makes it easy to handle but the great length makes that the car can run out of gas or have to go to the pits many times.

Team Name: Inklingcraft Team Squidroidia
Team Trigram: SQR
Team Colour: #006aa9

Team Bio (optional): The Inklingcraft automobile company, based in Spartansburg, is perhaps mostly known throughout the world of motorsports for their Inklingcraft Singularity entry in NSSCRA and the pilot of the #40, Shigeru Ishikawa. Known more domestically for their Splattershot cars and Kraken trucks, the motorsports department of Squidroidia's premier automobile manufacturer has taken on the challenge of fielding a Squidroidian national entry to the IBA World Cup of Motorsport. As such they will be using part of their failed WGP2 program to help out with the technicalities of the racecar.

Driver Name: Daryl Mizushima
Nationality: Squidroidian (SQR)
Preferred Number: 63
Second Preferred Number: 71
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 2.5
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 5
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 3.5

Driver Bio: Son of Yusuke Mizushima, founder of the FunStar media empire, Daryl made the confusing jump from karts straight to the WGPC during season 18 of the world's biggest motorsports competition at just 18 years of age. Driving for the Motorworks outfit, which fielded 3 other drivers, Mizushima struggled to even make races at times. But when rain falls on the track, he is guaranteed to have some pace in him, scoring pole position at the Cocoabo Expo trials and making Q4 at the Preston Autos Hapiloppan Grand Prix, where he scored his first WGPC points. He would try his hand at stock car racing during the offseason, making a NSSCRA start at the FunStar Squidroidia 400 and participating in a couple races in the Sherpa Empire, but he will make his open-wheeled return representing his country.

Bio:
The narrow streets of San Marco, despite having numerous bends and straights, require technical skill from the drivers to negotiate, and a tiniest bit of mistake can cost a driver their race. The first part of the circuit is a sequence of straights and bends in a downward slope from Calle Sturiaga (between turns 1-3), before negotiating a flat portion of the track known as the 'Rotonda'. After negotiating turn 4 from the Rotonda, a sequence of twisty corners will need to be negotiated, starting with the X-chicane followed by a hairpin at turn 8. Car speeds are expected to be slow from turns 8 and 9 up to 17, when an uphill bend leads to a treacherous turn 18, a high speed bend with a blind spot, just before hitting the brakes on turn 19, and turning right to turn 20 that leads back to the length of Calle Sturiaga.

The circuit hosted a WGP2 and a WGPC race in previous seasons (season 3 and season 18 respectively).

Second Preferred Number: 17

Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 4
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 5

Driver Bio: If not for the bona fide monarchy, seventeen year-old Joaninha Sequeira would be the best candidate for the title "Princess of Cabo Azure." The only child of the richest man in the country, she has lived most of her life in public, appearing alongside her parents both at public events and in the tabloids. Starting when she was nine, her parents' divorce played out on television in near-real time, including the revelations of her father's affairs and her mother's addictions to gambling and prescription drugs.

Though karting started as a simple diversion from the daily humiliation she faced during the divorce proceedings, Joaninha quickly rose through the ranks until she was competing with the best kart drivers in Cabo Azure. When she was in her early teens, her father won full custody and created Corrida de Trasgos, using his pet name for her when she was a child. She raced her first season in what was then the Azure Racing Series in 2010, when she was 14, and has raced in every season since, most recently finishing sixth in 2013.

Despite her fame and her tumultuous upbringing, Joaninha presents as a charming, empathetic young woman, quick to smile and rarely serious. Though dating rumors follow her wherever she goes, she guards her privacy carefully, appearing in public only in staged photos, and only in support of either racing or philanthropy; she is a noted champion of social welfare and LGBTQ causes in Cabo Azure.

On the track, Joaninha is a skilled, judicious driver whose best results come when she makes few mistakes, rather than when she gambles and wins. Of note, she has demonstrated considerable skill at driving in the rain, with both of her podiums in 2013 coming on wet or intermediate tires.

TEAM SIGNUP
Team Name: WCoM Team Lisander by Nationale
Team Trigram: LIS
Team Colour: #004225/#D4E140

Team Bio (optional): It doesn't exist yet. But RTL is making such a big promotion of this that they should present more details soon. Although it is the oldest broadcaster in the country, and is partly supported by the government, Rádio e Televisão de Lisander (RTL) no longer has the same audience levels as ten or fifteen years ago. The station, which is categorically against broadcasting "banalities and futilities" and focuses on broadcasting only "quality content", has suffered financial setbacks in recent years, such as the withdrawal of sponsors and the loss of contracts to "bigger pockets".

Although it retains one of the biggest audiences in sports with Top 12 (Rugby Union) matches and World Cup matches, RTL has been flatly rejected by the Premiership and then the National League, and does not show any professional football matches in the country, which is a TV5 exclusive. It recently lost the WGPO categories, which are due to move to the new free-to-air sports channel, 6 Sport. Desperate to maintain their audience, they have sought IBA membership in order to keep the attention of racing fans after WGP2 and bring a new event into their portfolio. Is expected that they should pour a lot of money on this team too.

Driver Name: Meline Agrakian
Nationality: Lisander
Preferred Number: 1
Second Preferred Number: 4
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 3
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 5
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 4

Driver Bio: First driver. With titles in both Karts and WGP3, Meline Agrakian is talented and successful in the national scene. Contracted from Camden, she is maybe the most underrated drive between the top contenders in the nation. After failing to secure a WGPC or even WGP2 seat, due to the awful result of Camden two seasons ago, Meline Agrakian goes for her first and probably only chance in international motorsports. She is 29 years old and still in her best physical form. A serious driver with an aggressive style, from whom good results are always expected.

DRIVER SIGNUP
Driver Name: Cássio Lima
Nationality: Lisander
Preferred Number: 4
Second Preferred Number: 90
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 3
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 5
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 4

Driver Bio: Replacement Driver. Cássio Lima is a Gentleman Driver. By profession, he is an advertiser and TV reporter, but his passion, since childhood, has always been speed. For many years he raced on the streets and in open cars championships. A few years ago he "professionalized" by joining a Superkarts championship, then he competed in WGP3 and currently he is in Lisander GT. He was selected as a second driver because he is one of the reporters for "Gearing up", a TV show on the RTL sports channel. It is possible that he will get to drive in WCoM, but only in one or two races when Agrakian has other commitments. If you can't say he's talented, at least you can say he's dedicated and a well-balanced driver.

More to come.

Considering the idea of WCoM as being similar to the old RL A1GP, I have a couple of questions to the OP, which are more to clarify my RPs than anything else:

1. Being (theoretically) a spec category, will this be reflected in the RP? Will the category deliver the same car model for everyone, with the same design and same suppliers of engines, chassis, tyres, electronic parts, fuels and everything else?

2. In case the first question is answered in the negative: Are there any RP regulations planned (even if informal) to guarantee equality between cars?

3. If I want to add a puppet nation, I'll also need to have sign broadcasters from the puppet to IBA, or I could simply consider my current IBA broadcaster also broadcasts to the puppet nation?

The Principality of Lisander, a sports loving, very highly developed nation in Astyria.
Disappointing people and missing deadlines since 2013.

1) Effectively, yes.
2) n/a
3) Your puppet would need to be signed up to the IBA, yes.

Track Length (km): 4.41
Wet Race Chance (1-15): 1
Overtaking Difficulty (0.1-5): 3
Error Punishment (0.1-5): 3.2
Aggressiveness (1-10): 4
Technicality (1-10): 6

Circuit Bio: The famous Elbej Historic Site in the Odrioyan desert was host to one of the pivotal battles of the Alm-Alessian Civil War, and has been accorded a good deal of historical and cultural value. The circuit was established in 1975 near the city of Almur, and since then has held many Diarcesian WGP3 races. As a result of special arrangements to allow such a track to be built here, the course alters little of its surroundings. This ensured the place's technical nature with an emphasis on challenging corners as well as the breathtaking scenery of its rugged terrain.

Drivers start the race with two of its harder corners, Vicious V and Nasty Right. The latter set the stage to one of the most memorable battles between Sara Luna and Aldauren Ginintella in the WGP3. After a breather in Turn Four, the track narrows and snakes through the outcrops of the desert.

Hither and Thither, Turns 11 and 12, poise another challenge to the driver. Enter or exit wrong, then you run the risk of being overtaken with a hard time regaining what you lost. The track then hugs the edge of one of the well-preserved natural craters in Diarcesia, bounded by the wide Turn 12 and the 90-degree Turn 13.

The narrow Turn 14 gives way to a banked Turn 15. Despite what the turning angle suggests, Turn 15 allows for a generous entry speed for the driver to build momentum for the gentle Sword-Singer's Rest and quickly attain top speed at the final straight.

Race Name: WCoM the Crux of Experience

Track Length (km): 4.15
Wet Race Chance (1-15): 5
Overtaking Difficulty (0.1-5): 4.54
Error Punishment (0.1-5): 3.48
Aggressiveness (1-10): 5
Technicality (1-10): 5

Circuit Bio: The wide and free-flowing nature of Diarcesian roads naturally rolls over to this raceway. The dedicated and illustrious test track of the Pryfors Bilar (PB) automotive company was built shortly after its founding, near the original location of its HQ. It has witnessed countless moments of elation, despair, and twisted metal in its many decades of operation. Now, through the tears and grime of times past, it continues to inspire fear and joy in drivers of all abilities.

The competitors and spectators will experience a mix of thrills and pitfalls along the way. They may come across ancient relics of a bygone era, or even find statues of ancient snakes and lizards that have died out altogether.

The start of the track is located at the end of the Grovedoor Straight, and cars enter the sharp and wide turn of the Console-Passant (Turn One). Cars finishing the previous lap can retain much of their speed entering it and maintain their pace to take the head start of Turn Three. Going to Turn Five, the cars go full-speed again in the next couple of smooth turns. However, drivers must be careful: borrowing from poker terminology, the Flop (Turn Five), Turn (Turn Six), and River (Turn Seven) corners can be unforgiving to those who err.

The second half of the track begins with the lead-up to the Cansay Drift (Turn Eight), normally used by PB to highlight their offerings' handling characteristics. Things slow down a bit and the cars pass under a bridge as the elevation increases. Once they reach the apogee at the Crux of Experience (Turn 10; that it's PB's marketing slogan is no coincidence), the drivers go downhill with a mild meandering stretch towards Turn 11. Another hot overtaking spot, the drivers must maintain their momentum here and on the entrance to the Grovedoor Straight if they don't want to be left behind in the dust as the lap finishes.

The fans who make up the bulk of the racing fan base will be happy to hear that the track does indeed have dedicated sections reserved for special events.
