Unlike the OOC thread in International Incidents, anyone affected by the move can participate here regardless of region.

The discussions here are intended to be OOC. They can cover ground such as discussions about potential storylines (like how to surgically plan sanctions against countries in one region or the other) or other topics that otherwise might have gone in the NSWC discussion thread.

I have a question for Audio & Chrom about players in your domestic leagues? I saw Audio's policy on resident aliens, but is there going to be a wider purge of foreign nationals from Anaian leagues? Or will be more of a choice of each nation?

Sarzonia probably doesn't have very many Anaian citizens playing in the SFL (Del and I haven't done the Cyanea Joint League in RL years and I renamed my top flight league), nor do I think we have many Sarzonians in Anaian leagues.

That said, Sarzonia's IFF will file suit to nullify the contracts of Sarzonian players in Anaian countries and will nullify the contracts of Anaians in the Sarzonian leagues.

I apologize on my silence on the topic thus far - hosting took priority. I will be writing a post of sorts soon.

The short answer is Chromatika will not change its relations with AO nations. Players will not be asked to leave.

I know it's not specifically directed at me, but I'll still be answering this question because I have a few players from various AO countries (both Quebecois Commonwealth and non-Commonwealth) in Q-League, QBO or QHL:

The Q-League's preexisting AO quota (one slot, with 4 and one additional slots available per team in general and the Quebecois Commonwealth) will remain applicable for those of either AO or Anaia. The Ministry of Sports and Recreation, the RQFA and the Q-League Board have no intention in changing that.

As for Quebecois athletes in AO countries and their equivalents in Quebec and Shingoryeo who need to file additional paperwork for visa proceedings, it is advised that they contact the Ministry of Sport and Recreation, the Imperial Sporting Council (responsible for international operations - e.g. national teams), and/or the Royal Sporting Council (responsible for domestic operations - Q-League) so they would be able to provide much-needed services comme necessaire.

I, along with Vil and EQS, have been called a liar, there has been a malicious lie going around that I viciously attacked one of the non AO Anaians when this is certainly not the case and I have provided logs to dispute the lie, as well as those in AO somehow being painted as the aggressors and villains with continued statements that we are vastly overreacting and are only out to ruin others fun. For that, I commend Kry and Mriin for attempting to make amends.

That was entirely me getting the wrong end of the stick, as previously mentioned. No malicious lie there, just Kry diving in before getting all the evidence.

Now that I've said that, the more I think about Star's statement "I've gotta play the game" the more bothered I am by how callous it sounds. I gotta play my game now. Some of it might be dirty pool.

We've always based the idea of roleplaying on the willingness on the parts of everyone involved to participate. This feels too much like shoving a storyline down our throats.

I haven't been as involved in regional politics because I have more interest in storylines away from goings on in my region. I have limited time and even more limited bandwidth and I want to conserve both.

My feelings may not be as vehement as Val's, but I will say that I am getting to the point where my OOC attitude toward the traitor nations is "Bye Felicia."

IC stance going forward: Krytenia furiously trying to rebuild relations with AO nations that they are (IC) on good terms with (eg Sarzonia, Vilita).

OOC stance: I joined Anaia because I saw fresh IC angles to sink my teeth into - that, and the nations involved are largely ones I have a long RP history with. No (intentional) ill will towards anyone intended; this just made sense with my headcanon.

(Not expecting any discussion or feedback re the OOC, btw; just explaining where I am with things right now. Feel free to make of that what you will, if you have questions or comments, TG me)

Earlier this year, Audio shared a fundraiser on the NSS Discord server to help you out IRL. I don't know how many of the Anaia people contributed to that or how much they donated, but Audio was definitely trying to help you in a material RL way by sharing the fundraiser. The replies look like Queb pitched in or at least wanted to. This was not just random charity like people giving their spare change to a street beggar -- it was a personal act of kindness from people who specifically wanted to help YOU. Same people have also stood by you when you were upset about losing a host vote, supported your SC commendation, etc.

Anaia is NS. It's not RL. But you still just threw them all in the trash like yesterday's news and made a big public show of it. People that you've known for years. Over some NS drama. So yes, you are overreacting.

I don't know your history with every person in Anaia, but you definitely owe Audio and Queb some patience. Even if there is a wrong to be forgiven, they deserve forgiveness. And there may be some other Anaians who do too.

Incidentally, I don't know why anyone thought Vil or EQS was out of line.

I haven't seen any talk of at all of Anaian leagues expelling people from AO. Aside from a Krytenia/Valanora one I don't know of any counter-sanctions. it's fair to say they'd depend on the individual nations.

Honestly if our government decreed all Audioslavians must return home immediately I imagine the Audioslavians would just tell them where to go. They wouldn't give up their life in another country over a moral cause unless they were facing deportation.

As for the stuff above, I can't respond to vague perceived slights and bringing up the past will get us nowhere. I'm also uncomfortable with the fundraiser being mentioned at all in this discussion.

I only signed on as a result of a ping for the T20 signups, but had a glance through what's gone on so far and just spotted this mention. FWIW, Sarz I really appreciated the TG and offer of some IC collaboration you sent as a way of deepening the links and story between our nations. I think here you may have got the wrong end of the particular stick I had in mind, though:

What I intended by this was to say that the region where my nation rests in (which is the only thing that has actively changed in game terms) is not really anyone's business but my own (and, technically, any regional officer with the power to boot me from said region). It also wasn't a matter of "being bored", as has been mentioned, but me feeling like I'm personally being boring and doing the same old thing over and over for a decade with no appreciable growth, results or personal fulfillment. It's something I wanted to explore a little bit in this RP.

We all do things of our own accord that other people might not like. When you in 2011, for instance, asked Arch to ICly wipe Sarzonia from existence and the memories of every character and recorded history, it, if I may quote Douglas Adams, "made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move". Shortly afterwards, the IC side of it was amended to appease the in-universe goings-on in all of our nations and characters. The idea to move a bunch of nations at once and not tell anyone has also made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move, which is why the discussions in regard to what to do with the maps, the explanations, etc in game terms are going on, so we can come to terms with it IC without breaking the fluid yet strangely fragile continuity we have. OOC, however, the decision is made because it's the individual players who have the right to that decision - just as you did with your unannounced WC withdrawal - and we just try and smooth out the IC story in between. I hope that makes sense.

Tldr your claim is safe. All initial discussions I had with star and Audio on the day of the event (I think) left the situation whereby at least some portion of the desert is still in AO unoccupied ( some portion may be occupied by tequilo).

Further to that I think the size and scope of what remains of the calanian desert and whether or not tequilo is your IC desert neighbor or perhaps more likely just a nation occupying a similar plot of land in another region is still to be finalized.

At this point I am just hoping that things cool a bit oocly so we can be constructive and collaborative about the future of the two regions and nothing gets decided out of spite or I'll will that, as star says, would affect the relationship for the next 17 years. During my initial conversation with star there was a suggestion of a possible future shared group chat on discord or something to start flushing out some IC stuff.aybe after things settle down a bit next week everyone will be ready for that chat to finalize all the nuances with a clear mind


Just so the anaians know, those remaining in AO have been communicating IC paths forward that we can bring to the table for those hopefully collaborative discussions whenever they do occur in the future. Vilita (Strike) - I've mentioned to the rest of Anaia about coalescing some IC ideas from our end as well. A shared space, be that Discord or elsewhere, would be a good idea too; I'd be up for that when we're all ready.

How come no one told me about this? Torisakia lives for conflicts like these (we just got out of our own internal conflict with a territory wanting to secede). Of course, Torisakian sports are currently under heavy sanctions (see below) at the moment (which is my IC reason for why I'm not active in NSS). Of course I don't know the full story of everything so I can't say all that much, so if anyone here would prefer me not to become involved or have any sort of question, comment, or concern, please let me know.

Torisakian sport sanctions as a result of Kiragate for those interested:

• Former Minister of Sports & Recreation Barrie Lowry, Minister of State Security Mitch Campbell, and former President Rosalind Dupond are found guilty of conspiracy and sentenced to lengthy prison sentences
• Torisakia District Court of Tokai clerks, including attorneys and judges, employed during the time of the scandal (mainly December 2014) fired for fabricating and lying on official court documents.
• T$500 million fine for each Torisakian national team (Gridiron, Association Football, Basketball, and Baseball to name a few)
• 6 month ban on international competitions for Torisakian teams, national or otherwise
• "Death penalty" instituted on each Torisakian national team for 4 months. Teams can only hold conditioning drills, cannot sign or call up any players, and are not allowed to have any media or advertising presence during these four months.
• All Torisakian national teams put of a 5 year probationary period.
• Ministry of Sports & Recreation under threat to be disestablished due to corruption and "lack of institutional control". Its fate lies on a bill circulating in the Torisakia Senate that will be voted on within the next two weeks and possibly sent to President Doug McDowell to be signed into law.
  
  Darrin Siddall, Chief Justice of Torisakia and Chairman of the Kira Commission, has stated "These national teams are absolutely staring down the barrel of a gun. God forbid, there's ever another disciplinary infraction — ever. Should there be one — particularly within the five-year period — I don't know what's left".
