All India Football Cup III
Only Participants From The Region of India

Hello and welcome back to the third edition of the All India Football Cup! India is still growing as a sporting region, however, it is slowly rising and could soon become one of the biggest sporting regions this multiverse could witness! Join us as we change the course of history.

Football is one of the most popular sports in the region of India alongside cricket. It is a sport that unites many nations and brings people together. This is exactly why football has a great reputation in the region and is likely to continue growing. With so many talented players from many Indian nations, there must be a platform for them to display their skills and represent their nation in international football. All India Football Cup provides nations with the opportunity to gain some experience playing quality international sides. It is ground zero for many Indian nations and we hope that this edition will help the nations of India get further. This event wouldn't even possible if it wasn't for the All India Sports Committee. So we thank them and hope that this edition of All India Football will be epic like the last two seasons.

About
Pratapgadh, officially the Rajput Kingdom of Pratapgadh, is a constitutional monarchy situated in the region of India. It is currently ruled by Rana Bhagwant Singh and Manav Sureka is the current Prime Minister who is working under the Rana. It is a beautiful country known for the desert of Thar, the jungles of Chittorgarh, the coasts of Mumbai and Gujarat. It is a diverse country with people belonging to different religions, ethnicities and culture. The states of Gujarat, Rajputana, Maratha Pradesa, Eastern Punjab, Western Punjab, Sindh, Paschim Pratapgadh and Gandhara are under one united country of Pratapgadh with Bakhdi being an autonomous region. It is mainly known for sports such as cricket, hockey and kabaddi which have been played in the country for years. Pratapgadh has a long history of violent battles against the likes of the Mughals, the British and others. It is famously known for fighting battles for over 400 years, which is the reason behind its high spending on the military due to being surrounded by enemies for most of its lifetime.

When it comes to football, Pratapgadh was once considered a rising star in football before the dark days arrived. Football was first seen on national television in the year 1992, when newly crowned Rana Bhagwant Singh II (current king) formed his own football team which played against Great Britain's national football team. The people of Pratapgadh were fascinated with the sport and soon football could be seen being played by the locals in parks with the little knowledge they have about the game. The King's team lost by 1-2 against Great Britain and mostly included Anglo-Indians who really had an idea about the sport. This was a historic moment not just for football in Pratapgadh, but also marks the beginning of Pratapgadh coming out of isolation from the rest of the world. The locals developed their own style of the game instead of using the tactical play of the British and usually played barefoot. Football slowly integrated into the culture of Pratapgadh and things were looking great. The Pratapgadh national football team was formed in 2018 and first participated in the 69th edition of Baptism of Fire in 2019. It also took part in its first world cup in the 82nd edition where it played eighteen matches, winning five of them, tieing three matches and losing ten matches. However, the team shocked the world when they defeated Turori who were the defending world cup runner-ups. This was also seen as an inspiration for many other smaller countries that anything is possible. It was believed that Pratapgadh had the potential to become a strong footballing nation at that time. Pratapgadh was at the 96th position out of 324 countries ranked in the Post-World Cup 83 rankings.

Then came the horrible tragedy of Pratapgadh football. In 2021, the Pratapgadh national football team perished in a plane crash, near the outskirts of Chittorgarh near a village. It is said that the pilot had lost control of the aircraft and failed to recover as the plane crashed with a huge explosion which had awoken the villagers. After that, Pratapgadh Football Federation failed to prepare a team in time and missed the 84th edition of the world cup. That didn't matter because this tragedy shook the nation. Someone lost a brother, someone lost the love of their life, someone lost a son. The Pratapgadh Football Federation announced that all players, coaches and other staff members who died in the crash would be inducted into the Pratapgadh Hall of Fame as a tribute to a great team. The federation struggled financially for the next few years and couldn't recover, ultimately meeting its demise in 2022. With that, football also started to decline and had reached such a stage in just a few years, that it couldn't have been recognized as a major sport in Pratapgadh anymore. However, in 2024, the Pratapgadh Football Association was formed with the aim to bring back the lost passion for football in Pratapgadh and develop Pratapgadhi football from the ground up. Pratapgadh had lost their rank as they were isolated from international football for years. Now the Pratapgadh Football Association decided to host the All India Football Cup, in an attempt to bring back those to fill up the stadiums and see their beloved national team play against other Indian countries.

Hosting Experience
During my newbie days as Azadeshia, I used to believe hosting was an easy and fun task. It's fun, but definitely not as easy as I believed. Instead of listening to other, more experienced players, I decided to ignore them and took a shot at hosting events for the region of India. It wasn't bad, but it was nowhere near good.

Since then, I grew and matured a bit and decided that I must gain the respect of my fellow comrades to improve. I switched to my new main nation, Pratapgadh. Over the years, I focused on improving my RPs and built some foundation such as hosting the Veergati T20 Cup, a friendly twenty20 cricket competition. Since hosting the Veergati T20 Cup, I believe the quality of my RPs improved considerably and also believe that now is the time to take a shot at hosting the All India Football Cup.

As Azadeshia, I have experience hosting many regional competitions such as the All India Football League (Predecessor to the All India Football Cup) and Indian Champions League with New Doltania. I honestly didn't want to include those in my hosting experience, it's full of cringe. Though, I feel it's necessary to show how much I have improved since those times.

As Pratapgadh, I have hosted the Veergati T20 Cup, which I would say was somewhat better than the competitions I hosted as Azadeshia. Not just that, but my domestic leagues might also back up my hosting experience. Now I know you guys don't consider domestic leagues as hosting experience, but they take up a lot of work too when looking at the effort put into them. Heck, The Royal Trophy was enough to tell you how much work it took just to get those fourteen teams up. My recent RPs also display the amount of effort I put into them now, mostly in the GCF ODI World Trophy II RP Thread, NSCAA 12 Roleplay Thread and the WGP2 Season 4 RP Thread.

My goal this time to increase RP activity and get more people from India involved in NS Sports. I believe that many nations in India have improved over the years and have the potential to become some of the best NS Sports RPers, only time will tell though. I am aiming to be an organised host for this edition of the All India Football Cup and we have a great season ahead of us.

Format
Looking at the current situation of sports RPing in India, I don't believe we will have a lot of signups. I am looking to have a nice and simple format to make it easy for any participant to understand. So this is how my plan goes:

12 Teams
  • Two groups of six participants.
  • The top two from each group will go on to play in the knockout stage (semi-finals and final).

14 Teams
  • Two groups of seven participants.
  • The top four teams from each group will go on to play in the knockout stage (quarter-finals, semi-finals and final).

16 Teams
  • Two groups of eight participants.
  • The top four from each group will go on to play in the knockout stage (quarter-finals, semi-finals and final).

18 Teams
  • Three groups of six participants.
  • The top two from each group will go on to play in the knockout stage (quarter-finals, semi-finals and final).
  • Teams who didn't get into the knockout stage by coming first or second in their group will be tallied. The top two participants from that tally will go on to the knockout stage.

20 Teams
  • Four groups of five participants
  • Teams will play each other twice.
  • The top two will go on to play in the knockout stage quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.

I believe that it would great for countries to play against more teams in this competition, which is why I have two groups of seven or eight participants if fourteen or sixteen participants were to take part in this competition.

Scorination
I will be using the NSFS formula in xkoranate 0.3.3. which is the latest version. I have researched a bit about the NSFS formula, one source being the Equestrian States and Starblaydia bid for the 68th edition of Baptism of Fire, it turns out that this formula usually favours teams with a higher style modifier and also affects the margin of victory based on the style mod, rather than just the number of goals scored by a team. I felt like experimenting with different formulas instead of just using the basic xkoranate style, so let's see how it goes this.

Other Details
Your style modifier must be between -5 and +5. -5 being the most defensive and +5 being the most aggressive approach, 0 will be neutral. If there is a tie, the goal difference will be considered first, with the second tiebreaker being the head-to-head record.

Also, I would really like nations to RP more, so I will allow any type of RP. Meaning you just aren't limited to RPing about the tournament and the sport, you can RP about any topic you want. I feel giving people more freedom to RP about things they are interested in could help us increase the activity surrounding our competition. So any type of RP is accepted and posting rosters will also count towards your RP bonus.

All the above sign-ups have been accepted. We will now be waiting for Indusse's decision to either accept the above bid or to wait longer to see if anyone else is interested in hosting.

If my bid is accepted, Kejri Islands (my puppet) will be removed from the sign-ups and we will close the sign-ups at 16 nations.
