NS X-Games Sign-up/RP/Results thread. (Sign ups CLOSED)

Postby Qazox » Sun May 09, 2010 9:26 pm

Qazox will be hosting the first NS X-Games!

These sports are not a part of the Olympics and have long been mostly ignored by the mainstream media, but no longer!

Any nation can sign-up, but wthin the limits set below:

SKILL MODIFIERS
Every athlete you sign up needs to have modifier between 0.00 and 1.00. The higher the number the more likely that athlete will do better in that event, but it is not a guarentee. The total average of your delegation must be 0.50. It can be lower than 0.50, but not higher than that. If it is I will ask you to re-check your delegation and correct your mistake before the Games begin. If you have not done so by the beginning of the Games, I will correct it for you by reducing your delegation's average until it is 0.50.

MAXIMUM DELEGATION LIMITS
A maximum delegation shall consist of NO MORE than Seventy-Eight (78) athletes. At a mininum, a delegation must have at least one athlete in four (4) of the disiplines (Skateboarding, In-line Skating, BMX, Moto X). Any nation exceeding or failing to met the mininum will be given until the start of the Games to correct the problem. If that nation has not done so by the start of the Games, they WILL NOT be allowed to compete. The Rally Racing portion can be subsituted for ONLY ONE of the 4 disiplines listed above.

CHURCHMA X-GAMES

Churchma announces first X-Games qualifiers
Churchma Sports Inc.

In recent years in the Republic of Churchma, the sports of Skateboarding and Moto X have really caught on. Within the last decade there have been seven "X-Game" type tournaments in the country, and now Churchma feels as if their athletes are ready to compete with the rest of the world.

In-line Skating and BMX haven't been as prominent of a sport in the country, but both are slowly gaining popularity. Hopefully by the time the next NS X-Games rolls around, Churchma will be able to enter some quality athletes in those events as well.

When you're at the top of a one hundred and fifty foot Mega Ramp, things can start to get a bit intense. You don't want to be trying to blast that new trick you've concocted if your body is starting to seize up.

So kick back and grab yourself some Soul., the best selling all-natural energy drink of Rennidan.

Relax your brain and energize your actions with the refreshing citrus taste of new Soul.Blast, bring the whackness and the gnar by pumping your system full of the firey flavourings of Soul.Chili or just get in the zone with the classic original flavour of Soul. itself.

Each drink is made from the purest of Nature's plants, found up on Mount Rennida.

Soul. is looking to become a sponsor of this years X Games, aiming to donate 55,000GK (roughly $50,000US, or 140,000 Qazoxian Zaqs) towards the building of the Mega Ramp for the Big Air contests, and a further 11,000GK (roughly $10,000US, 28,000QZ) to the Street courses.

Bronze and Silver Medals for Hodoran BMX Riders
Qazox

Eejeeko Zavonen and Zaimehko Kaiyahmnen performed well in the first day of the NS X-Games, scoring a bronze and silver medal respectively. Zavonen finished third with a time of 18:40.27, almost 44 seconds behind Heidi Boothe of Qazox. Kaiyahmnen finished second with a final time of 21:48.97, nearly 13.5 seconds behind Heath Brents of Cosumar. Although they did not get the gold they wanted, they still performed rather well, despite the small fields.

With the Rally and Super X events, the next few days will surely draw many motorsports fans in Hodori, especially days four and seven.

COSUMAR SPORTS UPDATE
Dragons look surprisingly good at X-games; first place
by Louis Mortpont of CSBN.com

Two days into the NS X-Games hosted by Qazox, cosumar currently stands in first place ahead of Qazox, followed by Churchma, Hodori, and Rennidan. Going into the games, Cosumar Sports Co. expected this to be a learning experience for future events of this type. However, the Dragons have far exceeded expectations: earning 4 gold and 4 silver medals.

Cosumar Sports Co. Commisioner Manuel Hakkodi had this to say. "I am very proud of our X-Games team. The Cosumar Sports Co. was founded just a year ago and this is only its second international event-so we are very glad that the Dragons are having success. let's hope it continues."

Cosumar's gold medalists were men and the silver medalists were female.

Cosumar's gold medal winners were Heath Brents (Men's Mass Start), Benjamin Cosswell (MOTO-X Step-Up), Austin Centus (Men's Big Air), and Douglas Umlaut (Men's In-Line Mass). Congratulations to them.
