With that, the host bids are now CLOSED!

There is one host bid, from Sylestone and Baggieland.

Anyone who is currently signed up EXCEPT the bidders may TG their vote to Sarzonia by 10 p.m. UTC (6 p.m. EDT) Friday, 9th April.

The options are as follows:
1. ACCEPT the joint Sylestone-Baggieland bid
2. REJECT the bid and re-open host bids.

Since the President and vice president are both bidding, I will reserve a vote only to break a tie should it be necessary.

Thanks for the question!
The chances of this occurring are extremely unlikely - however if this does happen, RP bonus will solve it. If that, somehow, is equal, we'll go straight to the IC coin flip.
Hope this helps!

Hey mate.

I'm new here and I'd like to join the tournament. I'm not interested in hosting, but I'd like the mighty Penguins to join the tournament. If I'm too late, sign me up for the text one. Thanks!

You would be eligible to join the competition as the 16th team. The president of ARWC is currently away, so he won't be able to update the signup list, but you would be on it.

Actually we are already on 16 teams. You would be the 17th team. I have already TGed the president regarding your interest, obviously the more the merrier, but 17 is an odd number. The president and I will discuss upon his return.

Easy solve. The group with the lowest rankings get the extra person in the group. Or just include a puppet.

There are many possibilities, and we now have an 18th sign up as well. But the format will definitely need to be discussed with the president upon his return.

First of all, a big thank you to Sarzonia for completing the host vote while I was away, it is greatly appreciated.
Now, we have 18 signups and I am loathe to have two groups of nine, as that would mean a very long group stage for such a minor tournament. My preference is to keep signups open until we reach 20 signups, an idea that my cohost is yet to respond to, so that will be confirmed when they’re next online.
In the meantime, signups remain open, although they will be provisionally closed if we reach 20.
Let’s hope we can get the ball rolling quickly!

As we still have no more signups, you raise an interesting concept. I'll discuss it with my cohost and see what comes out of it.

EDIT: The concept has been considered, but we have decided that it would be best if we just stuck with 20 nations as we've already started with technical aspects. We're probably going to enter a couple of puppets to round out the numbers, too.
Thanks for the suggestion, anyway!

And with that, signups are CLOSED. Everything thread should be up in the next 24 hours, hopefully a lot sooner.
Best of luck, everyone!
