On the campus of Univ. St. Croix, Year 2063...

Claire Lundrigan could hardly recall the boy standing beside him, and even with a high degree of security staff present at the stadium, it seemed not much was noticed by the crowd. Standing before her, wearing his tailcoat and leather shoes with his hair nicely combed, HRH Alexandre looked different from the all-consuming Head Boy who seemingly had no trouble indulging upon any source of attraction. She's heard of Alexandre's princely presence before, likely from the mails or old VousTube footages his parents had received a while back, but never did it come up on the homely settings of the Avon-Gillespie School that hosted over two centuries of occasional royals and more frequently nobles with discrete.

The junior was still trying to figure the very process behind this, since the very evening of the Bal he texted her. A physical day and a mental week may have passed, but she was still no closer in trying to find out about it.

'Hey Claire, how was the ball?' Alexandre asked cheerfully, trying not to make too much of himself, before switching into French. 'Comment était le-Bal? Apparently there was plenty of news made over the press last night.' Alexandre smiled, trying not to make too much out of what he had read over the morning newspapers or the l'Instagramme story.

'Good!' Claire responded, detecting Alexandre's excitement on his face. ‘Lots of lights, few new girlfriends and all the jolly good fun. Nothing big, but it’s good to be out in the city without much to worry about.’

‘Right,’ Alexandre looked around, gesturing to the security staff to stop looking at them too intensively. All the attention he was trying to delegate to her was turned off by the Quebec City folks not realising that they were both students and no more than that. Not that he helped the situation by being photographed near the Palais Royale the same day, but there was little he could do about that. That was the prize he did have to pay for being the very opposite of his father, the Cassadaiguan prince consort in HRH Caspian, Duke of Halifax, after all. ‘Seems like they did really water down what may have happened...’

'Your Royal Highness....'

'What, did I say wrong?'

'It was just innocent fun, don't think too much into it. Myeong-Geon and I were just happy to see each other for the first time since the summer.' Claire tipped back, before deciding to let it pass by not asking too much about what may have happened. Coming to the Royal Box, specifically under the invitation of the next King, was a test Claire knew what the intentions were, and that wasn't something she was exactly ready to write her answers. Not that she was afraid of getting them wrong- anything would have gotten him a 5/5 anyway- but she was still unsure, especially after all the highs and funs from what the nightlife could afford people in the finest debutante ball in all of Atlantian Oceania, and the sights after that. 'Has the match started?'

'I don't know.' Alexandre slurred in his response, trying his best to pretend the game wasn't the one on his interest. To be fair, the match wasn't one of the marquee matchups the Capitoliens were used to play against, and with the winter sports still some time away, the local and collegiate crowd were bit more subdued. 'I guess I could get used to being back there though.'

'Stop being silly, you don't get to tumble so much if you go back home. Prince Alexandre's escapades with yet another bear, what a headline.' Claire chuckled, as she smoothly fed the idea to Alexandre's head. 'You are looking for somewhere far, somewhere where you could sail away and hopefully make a name for yourself. Just like how Jacques the ninth did.'

'And that's where you really know me, Claire Lundrigan....' Alexandre felt his eyesight loosen up as their eyes met once again over a glass of lemonade they drank together. 'You never look at me like how the others do, that's the difference.' As unlikely it may have been, this was as close to truth for them. Even after five and a half entertaining, fulfilling years at Avon-Gillespie, Claire Lundrigan was probably the only peer- she's a grade below his and two years younger by physical age, but they were long teammates on the AGS' hockey team- to give him words that were both comforting and honest. The more he looked at her blue eyes, and her hair blew by the loose wind circulating around the stadium's ventilation system, the more he was feeling sure. 'How's your father doing after the surgery?'

'The usual. Still wants to go back and watch the Bleu et Blanc basketball match, right at the frontcourt seat.' Claire responded with implied weight added to her ankles, also relieved that Alexandre did not forget that the family happened to be in Quebec City for the Bal's weekend. Sir. Asher was still in recovery phase after a successful lung cancer surgery, so it was only her mother, the famous Quebecois singer-songwriter Eileen 'Plongeon' de Ramaut, who was present on the first dance of the night between Claire and a longtime friend of hers, Heo Myeong-Geon of Kingston Grammar School. 'Mummy's still at the hospital with grandpa- they are probably heading back home next week.' Claire felt additional weight hitting the prince as they said that. The marching band was playing their tunes to start the game, and by August, Alexandre would be memorising the old chants and hymns from his mother the Queen and her grandmother the Dowager Queen Elizaveta.

'It must not be easy.' Alexandre responded, as he came to embrace her. 'I shouldn't have asked.'

Claire said nothing as they embraced. For over a year, they did doubt their situation to be more than just a normal banter between an egomaniac and the eldest daughter of the Smurfman, but now it was getting clear. While the Prince himself was not ready to say the words, and Claire was still not ready to make her decisions on the matter, at least they were going to enjoy just spending time together as friends and maybe something more will click the rest of their rendez-vous. Claire slowly buzzed a tune from Silverhills inside her head, as they watched the players enter the field.

NSCAA a hit or miss affair so far
by Kent Swisher, Senior College Basketball Writer

With two thirds of the season complete, the fortunes of the eight UAC schools competing in the current multiverse basketball extravaganza run the gamut from disappointing to optimistic.

At the top of the heap are USL & and Osheana State, followed by the ladies of RC & Northern Baker Park, with Kellerville, UBH, BH State and Ezra struggling at the rear of the train.

The Raiders are 15-5, tied for second in the Orange 16 Conference, two games behind Drawkland's Cavsar University, who they defeated in their first meeting with the return at the Corder Arena in a few weeks time; the Falcons are in fourth spot in the Salamantica Conference with a game left against all three schools ahead of them, although catching the leaders from Pratapgadh's Chandigarh Military Academy, currently tied for the best record in NSCAA at 19-1, may prove to be a bit too ambitious.

The Sealion Conference has been a closely run affair from the start, so EC are still in the hunt at 12-8, as 7 schools are within 4 games of the lead; Northern sit in the middle of the Calania Conference--8th of 16 teams with a 10-10 mark--due to an inability to string together 2-3 wins in a row.

The others are off the pace, an average of 7 wins among the quartet; BH State are 8-12, plagued by the same inconsistency that NBP has endured; Kellerville and UBH each have 7 victories, while the Bulls are in the last spot with just a 6-14 record.

Is this a reflection of the quality of the teams participating, or is there something to be said about the condition of the sport in Baker Park?
The answer probably lies in between those two views; the last domestic season was not a vintage year by most standards, as the lack of a dominant program on both sides of the gender divide meant that games were closer, but the level of competition was lower. This is a natural function of the way college basketball in this country is organized, with cyclical periods of relative parity interspersed with strong teams that perform at a high level of the course of 2-4 seasons.

Exposure to a wider variety of competition has been the UAC's rationale for bringing in different schools rather than just entering the finalists from the National Championship every year, so there are certainly going to be years where schools might not be as strong over the course of multiverse play. The UAC hopes that the payoff will come down the road in a stronger, more robust college game.

UNIVERSITY OF VIŠNJEVAC

Can Višnjevac take a step forward. Given the game seen, they can move on. For now, they are our best representative and they are on the right track.
However, they need that one step forward to be more competitive.
They achieved 12 victories with the same number of defeats.
We believe they will be able to take a step forward.

UNIVERSITY OF VUKOJEVAC

Vukojevac did a good job, at one point their game had neither a head nor a tail but as the competition goes they play better and better.
They don’t look great but it’s not bad either. They need to squeeze a little harder and try to win as much as possible.
In a few games they were unlucky, they lost closely.
We hope that luck will continue to be on their side.

The biggest progress in the game and results was made by the players of this university.
Bakina Stijena enters a positive series which is encouraging.
Their game is firmer and more competitive.
They play great and many players have already been scouted by professional clubs.

GENIA UNIVERSITIY ON TRACK

Postby Dotivija » Wed Mar 17, 2021 6:40 am

NSCAA 12

Can anyone else follow Genia University?

Genia University is our best representative in the NCAA. In the very difficult Woodland Conference, Genia University alternates between third and fourth position. But from the city of Genia, two universities come, however the other university does not keep pace.

Genia U. stumbled a bit in two matches. First they lost to Universidad del Pacifico from TJUN-ia with 82–69 and then in an uncertain match, in the last seconds they lost to Olympia Empire University with 74-72! Bad luck, we would say.
But they jerked off and won the next two games at Port Squidward Community College (SQR) 91–68 and the University of Denalia-Hawthorne (XAN) 70-63. This team can do more and better. Too bad the game against Olympia but it’s a sport.

Gornja Dobova College

Maybe we expected the more from this team. However, they did not show themselves in a good light. The impression remains that they can do a lot more than they have done so far. They played one part of the competition very well and then inexplicably fell. The team from the town of Gornja Dobova is made up of top young talented basketball players. They fell into a black hole and lost three of their last four matches. Even more worrying is the difference with which they lost matches. We hope they will recovers soon.

This is the second university from the city of Genia to perform at the NCAA. However, despite good announcements and preparations, they failed to impose themselves. Moreover, they lost a lot by a big margin but when they won, the difference was minimal. They beat Basko Unibertsitatea with 74:73 but lost to Bakina Stijena from Raspotochje with 71:61! Grandma Rock played great and had a +18 lead. The DIF players managed to recover and reduce the defeat in the end.

Plava Vila College

Plava Vila College is a team that could do something but they never managed to get along.
They had a great opportunity for the middle of the table so they ruined everything.
However, there is a glimmer of hope, they have a chance for a better result, they also have a team for a better result.
They have won three of their last four matches which means they have found their form.

University of Dotivija City

A complete disappointment in the tournament is the University of Dotivia City. Amazing how one of the best teams completely failed. Much more was expected of them but this did not materialize. A team full of big names like Ružica Stanković and Gerard Herbert but those names obviously played only for themselves. Individualism is out of the question in team sports.
In the match against Fabula de Forma from Raspotochje, they led throughout the match to eventually drop the win, 76-75 for Fabula de Forma! Probably relaxing before the end cost them the win.

DROP IT DOWN!: Everyone Is Converging

Postby TJUN-ia » Wed Mar 17, 2021 10:14 am

3-1: Calamari Spoils Mariners Run, M's Now TJUN-ian #1
Record: Lost to CCC by 14 before beating Coffs Harbour by 10, North Ankole by 12 and Three Sisters College by 33.
Verdict: The 8-win run for CPortside came to an end in Squidroidia, but that didn't stop them from winning the next 3 in convincing fashion. Peter Klivert has been a hard man to stop at times and with the M's now TJUN-ian #1 on record, can this team keep it up for the final 6 games?

2-2: A Sudden Low For The Wallabies
Record: Beat IHU by 17, lost to Neroville College 14 and SSU by 15 before beating Vukojevac by 31.
Verdict: Has the thunder finally run out for UWWB? That was the main question on the Bay after another 2-2 run for the usually-brilliant Wallabies. Leaupepe Saveasi'uleo was certainly a highlight in these times but with UWWB starting to play more like UC, can this team return to form before the conference tournament?

2-2: Islanders Lose Two, Maintain Position In Calania
Record: Lost to Sankt Adelheid by 2, beat LCU by 28 and TCC by 12 before falling to Eldora by 6.
Verdict: 2-2 may not be the best for Al-Hilal but to be fair, those 2 defeats were both by single-digits. Ail Jaffer was a shining star in these 4 games and with possibilities endless, where will this team end up in 6 games time?

2-2: The Eternal ONCE AGAIN For Los Leones
Record: Lost to Keisler College by 3 in OT and KCU by 1 before beating NUS Sjoedrhavn by 4 and MHU by 21.
Verdict: The eternal 2-2 continues for UC, but they can say that they lost those games very tightly this time around. Jonathan Salvador can be a problem for teams in this series but with others in TJUN-ia getting better by the game, people in Carlandas are just hoping for anything different at this point...

3-1: 7-Game Run For Los Surfistas Ends in Hispinas
Record: Beat Genia by 12, Mount Ester by 16 and VSU by 6 before falling to UH by 16.
Verdict: Another great run for UP at they finally went above .500, despite a heavy loss in Hispinas. Andressa Alves has turned into a point-providing machine in recent times and with this unit looking better by the game, it will be very interesting to see how this unit can rebound in the final 6 games.

2-2: What's Going On With The Green Flash?
Record: Beat Empress Jessica I by 10, fell to CNES by 42 and Sarnia Tech by 1 before beating Buke by 11.
Verdict: The magic of UCPT just comes and goes now, a sad sight for one of the inform TJUN-ian teams at the start. Martin Rudderford has been a shining light for this team in recent times but with times changing around them, can they bounce back in the final 6?

3-1: Grizzlies Beat Everyone Except Conference Laeders
Record: Beat Gonzaga by 14 and UBH by 27 before falling to KCC by 13. Then beat the Unsigned Transfers All-Star Team by 7.
Verdict: Kumbhalgarh City College was certainly the better of CSU once again, but that didn't mean the other 3 games were unimportant at all. Alsu Smirnova has certainly been an important asset to this team ad with KCC out of the way, the aim is now just smooth sailing until the tournament.

3-1: Dragons Only Slip Once To Equal Overall Record
Record: Lost to Loyola-Istria by 14 before beating RAS St. Andrei by 4, RNA by 1 and Baris by 15.
Verdict: It was tough at times and ULI certainly got its revenge, but HPU certainly bounced back in great style to finally go to .500 for the first time this season. Chenrop Rueangthanarot was a great reason why they bounced back and now, who knows where the Dragons may end up come the conference tournament!

NO FUSS ABOUT IT - TALLADEGA ARE SHIT
Forum users sound off after Big Ones lose by 44 at home to Jaipur, 1 loss away from not making Ultra 64

It was a sight that, if you were in the Superfieldhouse at the halfway point of the season, you thought was impossible. The fans, 30,000 strong and showing their pride for their University of Talladega basketball team, booing their own team. Signs held up saying "Talladega Are Shit" and "13-3? What A Farce!" As the teams left the court following the game, the scoreline was a reminder of how far the University had fallen. University of Jaipur 96. Dega 52.

The University of Talladega, once 13-3 and fighting for the top seed in the Flying Drawk Conference tournament, have now lost 6 of their last 8, their only wins in that span coming against Buke and Blue Coast. They now sit 5th in the conference table, ahead of Empress Jessica I University, but have regressed to a 15-9 team in danger of missing out on the Ultra 64. The once promising team of fighters embarrassed themselves in front of their own home fans, and for many, this was the final straw.

On the ever active Cup Series Sporting Forums, home of people debating about the best drivers in the Cup Series as well as the emerging college basketball scene, a thread has lit up the college basketball forum, one entitled the "University Of Talladega Dumpster Fire Thread", a thread solely dedicated to people, mainly fans of the Big Ones, get angry over their team's now constant losing. Especially with that 44 point loss to Jaipur, the thread has been as active as ever, users trash talking the team for everything they have done in these most trivial 8 games, and with 6 to go, many are already writing off their Ultra 64 chances unless a miracle run in the Flying Drawk tournament happens. Or as one user calls it, "A miracle on top of a miracle."

Most of the posts in the "University Of Talladega Dumpster Fire Thread" have been memes, with some people quoting that even the College of Ware Big Red would run circles around them in a heartbeat. This, of course, is coming after the Big Red won their last 4 games straight. Some people have called for key players to resign, while others say that if they were the athletic director of the university, they would "rip any and all Ultra 64 entries in half because let's face it, they're too worthless for that."

Many once proud University of Talladega fans have jumped ship. A popular copypasta states this: "That's it, I've had it. I've been a lifelong fan of the University of Talladega Big Ones basketball team and because of this I have become sworn enemies with them. I won't give them a single dime out of my money ever again. I'll go support the Richmond Racing School, as they are actually a real team." The Action Team, still dealing with a boycott from the short track drivers, has offered half price tickets for their final 3 fixtures in regular season play for any University of Talladega fan who shows up with a jersey, t-shirt, hat or pennant of the Big Ones. It's safe to say that the Alabama Superfieldhouse won't be as packed anymore.

Stay with NASCAR Scene as we chronicle this team and their failures.

Simba's Savannah
A fan community around Banija's national basketball teams

Hey guys! Welcome to this corner of the internet. This is Simba's Savannah. This is a basketball blog that covers, well, everything basketball about our national teams! Future national team prospects, Commonwealth Games qualifiers, the IBCs, youth national team camps- everything about team Banija on the hardwood.

We're always working to bring your most unique takes. And the below tweet, from former Loyola-Istria Blue Thunder quarterback Isaka Jawara, got us thinking.

Image
Image
Image
Image @IsakaJawara First place in football, a game out of first place in basketball. Is there any doubt as to who is Banija's pre-eminent sporting school? #LoyolaForLife #ThunderStrike

ANd it got us thinking- what if we ranked the football schools? It's a good spot to rate everyone. Halfway through conference play in the NSCF. 3/4s of the way through the regular season in NSCAA 12. It'll be a combined ranking. Strange? Absolutely. But you've got other countries giving you traditional polls, or power rankings, and what not- we've always promised the perspective the others won't give, eh? We won't do a full ranking, though- we'll do a top 5. The top 5 football and basketball schools combined in NSCF 23/NSCAA 12, taking into account results from this season only from both competitions.

A reminder, for those who are not following both competitions. NSCF conference sizes are six teams, while NSCAA conference sizes are 16 teams.

Without further ado!

List of schools that are in both the NSCAA and NSCF
School - Nation (NSCF Conference, Record, Conference Rank. NSCAA Conference, Record, Conference Rank)
Kohnhead City University Mighty Eagles - Kohnhead (Big 8, 4-1, 2nd. Eternal, 18-6, 3rd)
Swisston City University Army Knives - Kohnhead (Big 8, 3-2, 4th. Sealion, 17-7, 4th)
Richardson University Governors - Ranoria (Big 8, 4-1, 1st. Salamantica, 12-12, 7th)
Cold Hill University Buffalo - Ranoria (Big 8, 3-2, 3rd. Flying Drawk, 9-15, 11th)
Akers University Capitals - Northwest Kalactin. (Big 8, 1-4, 5th. Sky Blue, 11-13, 7th)
Lismore Christian College Panthers - Northwest Kalactin. (Big 8, 0-5, 6th. Calania, 9-15, 12th)
Northern Moravica Cougars - Banija. (Celestia, 4-1, 2nd. Royal, 14-10, 5th)
Loyola-Istria Blue Thunder - Banija. (Celestia, 5-0, 1st. Sealion, 18-6, 2nd)
Fair Haven State Blue Jays - Barnettsville. (Celestia. 2-3, 4th. Planetary, 10-14, 8th)
Northern Dinagat State Panthers - Barnettsville. (Celestia. 1-4, 4th. Woodland, 13-11, 7th)
Laneca University Lions - Grey County (Horizon. 1-4, 4th. Pink 15, 8-16, 11th)
Sadeg State University Skyhwaks - Drawkland. (Horizon. 5-0, 1st. Five Star, 21-3, 1st)
Cavsar University Gladiators - Drawkland. (Horizon. 3-2, 3rd. Orange 16, 19-5, 1st)
Squidroidia Armed Forces Academy Squidbreak - Squidroidia. (Mineral. 3-2, 3rd. Calania, 6-18, 15th)
Universidad de Barvard Honey Badgers - BohemiaIV. (Woodlands. 2-3, 4th. Salamantica, 12-12, 9th)
Université du Saguenay Fighting Irish - Quebec. (Woodlands. 3-2, 3rd. Sealion, 9-15, 12th)
Université St. Croix Bleu et Blanc - Quebec. (Woodlands. 5-0, 1st. Five Star, 14-10, 6th)
New Lakeland University Tycoons - Cassadaigua. (Woodlands. 4-1, 2nd. Woodland, 20-4, 1st)
New Springs University Tigers - Appalachian Nation. (Woodlands. 0-5, 6th. Planetary, 5-19, 15th)
Mar Sara Tech Raiders - Valanora. (Zephyr. 5-0, 1st. Five Star, 17-7, 4th)
Raynor University Rockets - Valanora. (Zephyr. 4-1, 2nd. Sky Blue, 15-9, 6th)

And for those who are wondering. 21 of the NSCF's 36 schools have also put their basketball teams into the NSCAA. Not surprising- big sporting institutions tend to be big in multiple sports. And breakdown by conference? There are 2 from the Zephyr, five from the Woodland, just one from the Mineral, 3 from the Horizon, 4 from the Celestia, and all six schools in the Big 8.

Honorable Mention- Richardson University Governors - Ranoria (Big 8, 4-1, 1st. Salamantica, 12-12, 7th)

They're in first place in the Big 8- not entirely unexpected. Ranorian schools have had a stranglehold on the Big 8 for some time now, although many thought the other Ranorian school would be ahead in that conference. Their basketball team isn't all that impressive. But if you pay attention to Ranorian media, you'd have thought the Governors would be going 0-32. So kudos to them for staying afloat. But you won't see them dancing when the postseason comes.

#5 Kohnhead City University Mighty Eagles - Kohnhead (Big 8, 4-1, 2nd. Eternal, 18-6, 3rd)

And now, for Kohnead City! In gridiron, in Week 4, they stunning the football world by beating the defending champions, Cold Hill University, by a score of 43-6. Now, I know some of you may not know football. For us basketball fans, that's a blowout larger than the scale of Banija's 98-66 victory over Nova Anglicana in the IBC 30 Round of 16. Of course, Cold Hill's superstar quarterback Diamond Rhine went down, but that's beyond the scope of this article. What matters is, they're elite in football. And they're elite in this sport too. While probably out of range of the conference title, they can still get second place, and maybe can win the conference tournament. This is a team that absolutely nobody wants to face. Elite and taking down big boys in both sports- they firmly belong on this list.

#4 New Lakeland University Tycoons - Cassadaigua. (Woodlands. 4-1, 2nd. Woodland, 20-4, 1st)

It's hard to argue any nation has seen more sporting success than Cassadaigua. We all know about their grand slam. ANd their schools have won this very competition multiple times. But for the first time, they've entered the NSCF, and are seeing success. The Tycoons are 4-1 in a conference with historical powers St. Croix and Saguenay. They're firmly in the chase to win the Woodlands. But in basketball, they're pacing the Woodland Conference.

What are the chances that their conferences have the same name in both sports? Probably pretty damn small. But they've been pacing the Woodland Conference, building a four point gap at the top of the conference. Basically a shoe-in to win that conference, they're looking for a top 8 seed in the Ultra 64, something that would give them an inside track to the Final Four. Expect to be hearing about this school in the postseasons of both sports, and especially for a while in this one.

#3 Mar Sara Tech Raiders - Valanora. (Zephyr. 5-0, 1st. Five Star, 17-7, 4th)

The NSCF 18 champs come out in third in terms of combined gridiron and hardwood success this season. Look, the fact of the matter is this- no NSCF champion has ever won a NSCAA championship, and vice versa. Mar Sara Tech might be the first. The Vanorian schools have taken the NSCAA by storm, easily supplanting our own country, Banija, as the strongest supplier of basketball schools to the NSCAA. And the gap is truly quite large. Hell, Everlin University is 22-2. That infusion of young basketball talent in Valanora is why Mar Sara Tech will be a force to be reckoned with in this tournament. They're 10 games out of 1st place and yet, arguably, they're underperforming.

Mar Sara Tech is not going to get an impressively high seed, unless they really turn on the jets for the last quarter of the season, and/or win the conference tournament. But if you're one of the top 16 seeds, is there anybody that you'd want to play less than the Raiders?

#2 Loyola-Istria Blue Thunder - Banija. (Celestia, 5-0, 1st. Sealion, 18-6, 2nd)

And now, for our very own Blue Thunder. The subject that started this whole exercise. In the NSCF, the three-time champions are 5-0. Beating Northern on the road in overtime, beating the defending conference champs the Salamantics, and everybody considers them title contenders. But here in basketball, is where they've really shocked everyone. They traditionally don't do that well in this competition, with just one Sweet 16 run to their name in this competition. Hell, in NSCAA 11, even Loyola-Busukuma, one of their regional campuses, went further than them. But after a sluggish, 7-5 start, the Blue Thunder have really turned on the jets. They've won 8 in a row, and 11 of their last 12, to storm up the conference rankings.

They're one of the hottest teams in all of college basketball. And in a competitive conference, it's made a difference- they're just one game back of the conference leaders. They've got an outside shot of getting an automatic berth to the postseason in both competitions, which would be mighty impressive. While it is definitely a football school, we'll see how many in-roads this basketball team can make.

#1 Sadeg State University Skyhwaks - Drawkland. (Horizon. 5-0, 1st. Five Star, 21-3, 1st)

Undisputed. A clear-cut top 5 team in both competitions overall, and clear cut first place in their conference in both competitions. It's a great time to be a Sadeg State fan, as all they're seeing is wins. Literally. In football, they beat their national rivals, Cavsar, as well as beating the defending conference champions, Felswyr State of Chromatika. Simply put, an excellent season all around from them.

Lets take a look at their gridiron team. They're scoring in the range of 30 points per game on offense, en route to the undefeated record. THey've got an overtime win against Felswyr State, last season's NSCF darlings. Let's set the stage for those who don't know. Felwsyr State last season in the NSCF. 14-2. Conference champions. Lost in the championship game. One of a few favorites to win it all this year. Sadeg State beats them. It sends a message. IT's their conference, their competition.

And then, for the NSCAA. A school that is rich with basketball success. They've come close twice. NSCAA 7- almost had the greatest season ever. Undefeated until the title game, until they lost to the University of Cenial. And then NSCAA 10- they won the whole damn thing themselves. And now, they want to do so again. Honestly, they've got a legitimate chance of not only winning either competition, but they could do what would be probably the greatest possible accomplishment in college sports- they could bring home both trophies.

Really, they're the only school on this list for whom that's within the realm of reasonable possibility. Loyola-Istria might have a nice NSCAA run, but a NSCAA title? That ain't happening. New Lakeland maybe? But that's unlikely, at least in year 1. But Sadeg State has a legitimate argument for being the best football school, full stop, and the best basketball school, full stop, right now in the multiverse. Can they be denied?

Comments

BornAndBredSkyhawk: "Great post! Personally, as a Sadeg State fan, I'm glad my school has found a way to kick ass in both the NSCF and NSCAA. Not many schools can pull that off. Especially not Cavsar, who seems to suck ass at both, LOL"

IstriaFanBoy7000: "I need to read this list again! I've read it four times, and I can't seem to find Northern Moravica anywhere? ;) #LoyolaForLife"

NSCAA Top 10

Hi, and welcome to the NSCAA Top 10! Every week or two, we'll be looking at the NSCAA landscape and objectively determining the ten most powerful squads currently in play. Of course, the teams will fluctuate based on record, but we'll also be looking at the quality of play and losses as well.

With that in mind, let's check out the best teams with only SIX GAMES TO GO! The final undefeated team, Cemmendy Tech, has finally fallen, so now it's a real test to see who has the tighest control of their conferences and the most high-quality wins. With such a short time in the regular season remaining, it's a foregone conclusion that these Top 10 teams will be getting into the Ultra 64, whether by regular season championship, conference tournament championship, or at-large voting.

But for now, here are the current Top 10 squads in the NSCAA:

10. New Lakeland University (CDG) (unranked)
Conference: Woodland
Record: 20-4 (+285)
Why they're here: The masters of both the NSCF and NSCAA Woodlands Conference (a strange break of fate), New Lakeland wasn't thought of as an early powerhouse. In the relatively weak Woodland Conference, the Tycoons took a few losses that kept them away from the early title conversation. However, their midseason form has bloomed, and they're really showing themselves as a better option for an outside title choice. Sure, they're mostly on here because several Drawkian teams are collapsing, their conference is soft as putty, and there's no other teams with 20 or more wins right now, but hey, a rank's a rank! Let's see how they do in the postseason.

9. Kumbhalgarh City College (PRT) (-/+)
Conference: Big Seven Nine
Record: 22-2 (+335)
Why they're here: Kumbhalgarh City College popped into the rankings last time, and they've played well enough to stay there this time. While they only have two losses on the season, their play has not been as convincing as these higher-ranked outfits. In addition, the Big Seven Nine is a pretty weak conference. The Aces have a four-game lead over second-placed Central State, the largest lead for a team in the NSCAA at this point (tied with #10 NLU). Because of this, they're virtually guaranteed an Ultra 64 berth, but we have some questions about their game against some of these bigger contenders. We won't find out until the Ultra 64, though!

8. Brat Tech (CDG) (unranked)
Conference: Sky Blue
Record: 21-3 (+361)
Why they're here: Right now, Brattleboro Technical Institute is the best the Dagans have to offer. Cassadaigua is traditionally an NSCAA powerhouse, having three titles among their schools, but this edition has gotten off to a rather slow start. Brat Tech had been the plucky challenger to Elmanden's early dominance of the Sky Blue Conference. In the last few weeks though, Elmanden has taken a total nosedive, losing several games including a blowout against Kohnface City. Brat Tech's only losses are against Elmanden (two) and Instituto de Azucena, the #4 team in the conference. They have a two game lead in the conference, and if form holds, they'll be taking it for themselves. Elmanden is only two games behind though, and they have head-to-head results in hand. Some may be confused why Brat Tech is better than Elmanden despite having two losses to the Mechanors, and we say: how about the Mechanors try winning more games?

7. Sadeg State University (DRK) (-5)
Conference: Five Star
Record: 21-3 (+382)
Why they're here: Sadeg State's chances of repeating their NSCAA 7 run, but with a title win instead of a loss, was already microscopic. It was only a matter of time until they dropped some games, and they came rapid-fire. Their first blemish came at the hands of College of Ware, and later that week they lost to Takshashila City College. Both losses were at home, and both were by relatively convincing margins. The biggest thing holding Sadeg State back in these rankings is that, for one, they aren't destroying the minnows as much as their better-ranked counterparts, and for two, they lost the return leg against Mar Sara Tech. The Skyhawk faithful bragged about besting the Raiders by 21 in Valanora, only to lose by 13 at home. If you're gonna talk trash, you gotta back it up. At least they have a three-game lead in the conference and are likely to win the Five Star title with little trouble.

6. Turbani Tech (VAL) (unranked)
Conference: Royal
Record: 21-3 (+440)
Why they're here: Last time we did these ranks, the #1 team in the Royal Conference was ranked #7. Now, the #1 team in the Royal Conference is ranked #6, but instead it's a different team! Old Mountain, after a strong start, has lost six games in the midseason stretch, and are looking on shaky form that doesn't bode well for the postseason. On the other hand, you have Valanora's Turbani Tech. They took a couple losses early in the season, but they turned it around and are now looking like one of the best teams in the NSCAA. Sure, their place in the conference with a three-game lead is mostly thanks to a total collapse by Old Mountain in second place, but I don't think Turbani Tech's fans will care, once their squad clinches an automatic berth to the Ultra 64.

5. Cemmendy Tech (DRK) (-4)
Conference: Calania
Record: 21-3 (+495)
Why they're here: So Cemmendy Tech started the season strong, and they were the last team to remain undefeated (and the only to make it through the halfway point as such). The second half of the conference stage has not been so kind to the Cyberpunks. They've taken 3 losses since we last did this poll, all with varying takeaways. The team that killed the final spotless run was also the team trying their hardest to catch Cemmendy in the conference table: Sabinal State, from Valanora. More perplexing was Cemmendy's one-point home upset to no-name bottom-feeder University Svemira, and a huge 20-point loss to Sankt Adelheid University from Banija. Still, despite losing 3 (and two of them by decent margins), Tech's point differential sits at +495, far and away the best in the NSCAA right now. With these losses though, it's hard to see Tech overcoming their normal Ultra 64 blues.

4. Ducentu State University (DRK) (+2)
Conference: Eternal
Record: 22-2 (+373)
Why they're here: Since Ducentu State took their first loss to Kohnhead City, they've put the past behind them and destroyed everyone in their way (except that freak upset loss to Metro Laneca Community College). Every contender in the Eternal Conference has been beaten at least once by the Eagles, including a revenge win over Kohnhead City. With a three-game lead in the conference and head-to-head in hand against both the #2 and #3 teams in the conference, the Eternal title is nearly in reach for State. We are surprised, but relatively comfortable, calling Ducentu State the best Drawkian school at this time.

3. Everlin University (unranked)
Conference: Pink 15
Record: 22-2 (+481)
Why they're here: It's exactly what we predicted in our last poll! As Drawk Corps U began to slip from their early season form, the hungry and equally powerful competitors in Everlin University came to play. They took an early loss to DCU, and since then, they've gone undefeated (ignore the last game they played, where they lost to Auto Club Technical Institute by one). This includes a revenge win over the Corps, and now they sit with a three-game lead in the Pink 15 over DCU and TJUN-ia's College of Portside. At this point, we find it hard to believe Everlin won't win the Pink 15 regular season title. Also, they have the second-best differential in the NSCAA, only losing out to Cemmendy.

2. University of Suryapur (PRT) (+1)
Conference: Planetary
Record: 22-2 (+406)
Why they're here: The Hoopers, in our first poll, were ranked #2 as one of the remaining undefeated squads. They slid down a spot thanks to a surprisingly overperforming Cemmendy Tech, but Tech has started to slide back down in our eyes. Suryapur has continued to own the Planetary Conference, including a huge 66-74 win over the conference runners-up, University of Hondo. The Vanorians are only two games behind the Hoopers now, so the head-to-head win and the sweep is a huge boost to both their chances of winning the conference, and our opinion of their squad. They need to avoid upsets in this final stretch to keep the Planetary Conference title in their grasp, and right now it seems they're apt to do just that.

1. Chandigarh Military Academy (PRT) (+3)
Conference: Salamantica
Record: 23-1 (+372)
Why they're here: Chandigarh may not be undefeated anymore, but they only have a single loss. This was to Seth Johnson College, the current #3 team in the conference, right before the halfway point of the conference stage. Since then, they've continued to dominate the Salamantica Conference, and some could argue now that they don't have the "undefeated jitters," the pressure is off and they're performing even better. We'll see how they fare in the remaining games, including their rematch against the male Dagans, but with a three-game lead, they're sitting pretty. Are the Strong Hearts the strongest in the NSCAA? Right now, we say yes. Talk to us in a couple weeks.

How will these teams fare in the final stretch? We certainly don't know, but once again, we expect these teams to at least win their conferences in the regular season, if not the tournaments as well. All of that goes out the window when we get to the Ultra 64 though ... this is where the season gets real!

NSCAA Salamantica Conference Championship Venue : THE MARIJUANA ISLAND GAOL

Image
Views from the window, Jail Cell B1-789, Marijuana Island Gaol

Woo! Quebec and weirdness continue as FASANDA Sports and Entertainment Group announces the agreement with NSCAA to host the NSCAA Salamantica Conference Championship in The Marijuana Island Gaol, Quebec and Shingoryeo.

The Marijuana Island Gaol is an isolated, multi-purpose gaol complex in Marijuana Island, Nunavut, Royal Kingdom of Quebec. Built in 1884 to house republicans caught attempting to plot a terrorist movement six months prior, it was regarded as one of the most dangerous, isolated and most importantly fun gaols in the Multiverse in terms of the purpose it's supposed to serve: to incarcerate any dangerous sources out there in the society. 164 years later, celebrating its sesquicentennial birthday, the Marijuana Island Gaol remains one of the most intriguing gaols in Multiverse (since it already has that achievement set in Atlantian Oceania). Multi-purposed, as stated earlier, the Gaol contains a basketball arena whose capacity can be expanded to seat as many as 6,666, but of course do not expect any of modern facilities we've come to expect in a college basketball arena. Wrong place for that. Quebec and Shingoryeo, as one of the powerhouse nations in basketball with long traditions in both men's and women's disciplines, is honoured to once again bring the fun back into this dark place.

Use: Well......bruh. What does 1,093 prisoners incarcerated there say? The Marijuana Island Gaol hosted some of the most beloved sporting events in the Royal Quebecois Gaol System, such as Gotham-Nunavut Prisoners' Cup (Basketball) and the annual Inmates' Hunger Games championships, the latter of which incorporates all the space available within the jail property of around 45km2. Its regular tenants are the physical education and health classes held in the gym and the weight rooms. The Gaol Gym is going to be hosting its second NSCAA Conference Championship, in line with its annual hosting of the biannual Cannabiscorp Pioneer Bowl of NSCF.

Location: Well, it's near the Quebecois North Pole, just 35km south of the northernmost point in this country, located right in Northwest AO. The Gaol is situated right in flat fields, surrounded by mountains roughly 894-1,497 metres tall, in a very long-shaped peninsula. The weather here in June isn't so bad, stays somewhat in -3 to -14'C range for the course of this tournament. Snowfall is of course expected, but it's Quebec so what can we say?

That said, due to the unpredictable weather conditions in northern Nunavut, it is not recommended for any visitor to head outside the Gaol or their planes / helicopters, et cetera. Way too many prisoners have attempted to escape that way and well, none had managed to successfully escape. RIP.

Access: Marijuana Island, being isolated from everywhere else, is only accessible by so many modes of transportation. The nearest city from Marijuana Island Gaol, Iqaluit, is roughly 2,194 kilometres away and from there, you can only go to here by once-weekly icebreakers and aeroplanes; icebreakers will land on shore 5 kilometres south of the Gaol and planes will land on a 5,000m runway 7 kilometres north of the Gaol. Two vans will be provided for the team and the supporting delegations, but for others it is expected that they bring their own voitures on the icebreaker.

As for Iqaluit, its international airport is open 24-hours, 365 days, but expect delays here and there because of weather.

Image
Prisoners' Wing, Marijuana Island Gaol, in 2029. Most of the gaol is underground, which means that roughly 10 percent of the prisoners will ever see the sunlight.

Other Features: Gaol contains a visitors' wing that is certified maximum security, contains 777 beds and has Wi-Fi and all the modern amenities. A large selection of food, alcohol and marijuana should also be available, and those with specific dietary restrictions will be given priority as long as they send their meal plan requests two weeks in advance. Should there be way too many people coming to watch the conference championship tournament, however, the excess population will be given beds in the prisoners' wing. No heating, no water and only a loo and a mattress is given there, so it won't be the most pleasant of all venues but hey! It's a fucking Quebecois gaol so don't be too surprised about it.

The cutoff is now closed. Only two games left in the conference regular season!

Also, here's a quick update on the total NSCAA standings. Please note the notes on that post.

Genia University among the Top 64

Postby Dotivija » Thu Mar 18, 2021 2:00 am

NSCAA 12

There are two more games left to play in the conferences. Genia Universities are currently in the Top 64! Great result of young university basketball players. The whole city is looking forward to continuing to play and lives in the hope that their university will move on.
Genia is the second largest city in Dotivia. It has a population of 2.1 million, is located in the east of the country and houses two well-known universities, Genia University, which is over 150 years old, and DIF University, which is 122 years old. From these two universities came many famous people of Dotivia from the world of politics, music, art, literature, philosophy, military tactics but lately also sports. The marathoner, Dalida Nošić, is the country's record holder from Genia University.
The streets of the city of Genie talk about the performances of university basketball players and present their city and nation to the world.

"How glad we are that someone introduced us to the world. The struggle for independence has lasted a long time. Now they have given us back our pride," said one young father holding a three-year-old child in his arms.

“I wasn’t sure when these two universities were included in this big competition, however they showed their qualities and being among the 64 universities in the world is a huge thing,” the barr owner told us.

Lady at the main market "Jaoo, it's like they're my kids, I love them so much. Let only happiness, joy and song accompany them in life. Will you buy a nice lettuce? Home-grown. See how beautiful it is, come on, come on ... "

Woodland Conference

MD 25

Northern Dinagat State (BAR) 88–83 Genia University (DOT)

Not a good start for Genia University. The defeat by an objectively weaker team shook faith and self-confidence. Although the halftime was +5 for Genia University, the continuation of the match brings uncertainty. In the very finish, the hosts turn -5 points into + 5 and win one good game.
Heads down and some angry, Genia players leave the field.
"This must not happen to us. We lost several games in this way to fall into one psychological black hole. The opponent made a series of 14: 4 in the last quarter! It's terrible. We have to analyze and see what changes. The next game is crucial. and we must to winn that game. ”said the coach of Genia University.

MD 26

Genia University (DOT) 75–74 Hammerlocke Institute of Technology (DUR)

After a shocking defeat, the Genia University basketball players still manage to win at home. Again the same thing happened that the players under pressure fell into the score black hole. With a score of 70:62 for Genia University, inexplicably, Genia basketball players are starting to make mistakes. Wrong pass, make technical mistakes and the guests return that lead with 74:73. In the last attack, a Hammerlocke Institute of Technology player commits a foul, 3 seconds before the end. Ying Duan goes to the free throw line. She hit both throws and the result is 75:74, the guests failed to hit from half the field. The win is there, the key win in hand but the game was not good again.

MD 27

Genia University (DOT) 74–66 NIFB Virkaja (SVJ)

There was not so much drama against NIFB Virkaj. Although the result is only +8, but most of the match, the coach rested the main players from the first team. Despite that, Genia led the whole match and at one point it was +12, 52:40. Hafiz Haratagolou with 22 points and Diane Johnes with 20 led Genia University to a new victory.

MD 28

Mount Ester University (QUE) 76–63 Genia University (DOT)

After the home matches, the Genia University players headed to Quebec. Mount Ester University was the host and this is a match of two teams that are next to each other in the standings. The hosts kept their rhythm of the game from the beginning to the end. They led throughout the match and deservedly won. Again, the Genia coach experimented with the first lineup. Herbert Koh and Damir Turkalj were spared, the two strongest players were resting and did not play the match. They watched the match from the bench.
"I had to combine this way. We have two more games to play and after that the second part of the season is ahead of us. I believe we will win at least one of those two games and that we will be the real, winning Genia University" said coach Antonio Zaratic.

Which schools have made it to the Ultra 64?
Which teams are still in contention to make it to the first 13 schools to do so?

MANDRID - With two games remaining before the conference tournaments start, we are starting to see which thirteen schools will first clinch a spot in the Ultra 64 tournament to determine this season's NSCAA champion. As per NSCAA tradition, the tournament winner along with the first placed teams after the home-and-away round robin regular season will clinch a spot in the Ultra 64, leaving 38 spots for at-large bids. The better the record in the regular season, the more chance that the team will get an at-large bid.

Which schools have already clinched a spot in the Ultra 64 by winning the regular season, and which schools are in contention to do so in the last 2 games?

As of Matchday 28, seven teams have clinched their spot in the Ultra 64 due to winning their conferences' regular season phase. Drawkland continues its domination of the NSCAA as three of their schools have made it into the season ending tournament - Ducentu State, Sadeg State, and Cemmendy Tech, while Pratapgahd surprised everyone when two of their schools, and probably many more, made it as well - KCC and CMA. Cassadaigua and Valanora have one school each which is a surefire participant in the biggest college basketball tournament in the multiverse - New Lakeland and Everlin respectively.

Conference Winners
Big Seven Nine: Kumbhalgarh City College (PRT)
Salamantica: Chandigarh Military Academy (PRT)
Calania: Cemmendy Tech (DRK)
Woodland: New Lakeland University (CDG)
Eternal: Ducentu State University (DRK)
Pink 15: Everlin University (VAL)
Five Star: Sadeg State University (DRK)

Six more schools will join them by the time the conference tournaments start, which schools are they?

Sky Blue
Schools in contention: Brat Tech (CDG), Elmanden District (DRK)

Cassadagan school Brat Tech have one hand on the qualification door for the Ultra 64, with two games ahead of nearest competitor, Drawkland's Elmanden District. The Mechanors hope that the Fireflies from Chittorgarh and the Avispas of Azucena where the latter needs a win to have their at-large bid alive would do them a favor and they do their business on their side to overcome a two game, 121 point differential difference, against Susquehanna Pioneers and Inkopolis. But with the odds stacked against them, it seems that Brat Tech would win the regular season with 99 percent prediction.

Royal
Schools in contention: Turbani Tech (VAL), Old Mountain (DRK)

Another Drawkian school seemingly chasing harder goals is Old Mountain, not only that they have two games behind leaders Turbani Tech of Valanora, they have a bigger deficit compared to their compatriots at Elmanden where they need to overhaul a 196 point deficit to the leaders. Games against Upper Plymouth Tech and DIF Genia seem to have make their tasks easier, but they need to rely to Lagea Penninsula and Tidewater State, not the hardest opponents for Tech to defeat. Same here, 99 percent certain Turbani Tech makes it to the Ultra 64 first before the Northeners do.

Sealion
Schools in contention: Karnavati (PRT), Loyola-Istria (BNJ), Swisston City (KHD), Rinaldi Naval (VAL)

The Sealion Conference seems to be one of the most competitive conferences in the NSCAA, as it is difficult to predict whether who will win the regular season. Two games to go and there are four possible contenders for the title. With none of the four facing each other in the last two matchdays, it is up to the Defenders to seal their spot in the tournament, but with them being only of the four to encounter a Drawkish roadblock in Corinth City Chargers. I'd say a Banijan school will make it to the Ultra 64 first before the other three schools do.

Orange 16
Schools in contention: Cavsar (DRK), Wangor State (KHD)

It is a different situation for the Gladiators compared to the other two Drawkian schools already mentioned in this article. This time it is Wangor State which is in the position of the two schools earlier - two games behind the leader and a significant points gap. They will not face each other as well, but they will face 1 same school - Sataran City. The gap would be too big for Wangor State to overcome, but if they and Swisston City are able to overcome the odds then Kohnhead's college basketball program may be the one to look out for in the future.

Flying Drawk
Schools in contention: Jaipur (PRT), South Caddonia (VAL), Nuno Espirito Santo (HSP)

Three schools are still in contention for winning the regular season of the Flying Drawk Conference, and it includes Hispinas' CNES. Both South Caddonia and CNES hope that The Pillars lose their remaining games, and the Purple Phantoms also hope to win one game more than Caddo, which have the advantage of having better point differential over CNES, although the Pratapgahd school boasts a better one than either of them. Our hearts want to root for the Hispino school to be the first school from Hispinas to win a conference regular season, but being second place still be good. Jaipur's remaining games screams qualification to me so I'll have to choose my mind.

Planetary
Schools in contention: Suryapur (PRT), Hondo (VAL)

Unlike the other three conferences where a two game gap is still mathematically improbable to overcome, this two game gap can be overcome by Hondo as they actually have a better points difference over The Hoopers. The pressure is on Suryapur though as they face a Kohnhead school where their program have brought unexpected results, and a Savojar school that can pull the occasional upset. I'd hope Hondo takes it although I am onlyu 55 percent certain that it will.

Join us as we wind up the coverage of the NSCAA regular season among the thirteen conferences and see who will the six other schools to ensure an appearance in the Ultra 64 tournament.

Meanwhile, The Kingdom of Hispinas and Telebuenas would want to offer free tickets for two to three lucky fans each for the Sealion and Orange 16 conferences with an all-expense paid trip to Hispinas, including a 2D1N stay in the beaches in Malklan and then an all-access pass to the Conference Tournament of their participating school. Participants must be enrolled to a participating alma mater that competes in the two conferences organized by the committee based in Hispinas. Simply write why your college will win the conference tournament, and write why we should choose you as the winner of the draw.

Deadline for entries will be at the end of the regular season (OOC: After the last results for all the conferences have been posted)

The Strong Hearts Won The Salamantica Conference!
Written By Swara Servaia

The cadets back in Chandigarh celebrate as the Strong Hearts won the battle for Salamantica Conference. After 28 matchdays, the Strong Hearts are the only one left who has suffered less than two defeats, let's hope it stays that way. This is a huge achievement for Chandigarh Military Academy, an academy that never believed that these young bucks would be at the top of the food chain and win the conference. The cadets aren't the only ones celebrating, basketball fans all across the country are celebrating this achievement. This was a huge moment for Pratapgahdi basketball and would mark as the return of basketball.

The Strong Hearts haven't lost a single match in their last eight matches, they had certainly set high standards for their first season in NSCAA. In their last four matches, the Strong Hearts went up against Fabula de Forma University, Osheana State University, Kanyean Air Force Academy and Barvard University. May I remind you, Kanyean Air Force Academy were the NSCAA 11 champions, so beating them twice is a big deal. Chandigarh Military Academy first defeated Fabula de Forma University by twenty points at home and then went on to defeat Osheana State University from Baker Park by five points. The Strong Hearts then went up against Kanyean Air Force Academy and had a home crowd advantage. The crowd were mostly filled with cadets of the academy, the parents of the players and a few locals just enjoying a good game of basketball. The Strong Hearts didn't disappoint their home crowd as they defeated Kanyean Air Force Academy by thirty points, 93 to 63. The Strong Hearts defeated Barvard University by thirty-three points on Matchday 28! With that, Chandigarh Military Academy won the Salamantica Conference! They were on top of their game the whole time and didn't let anyone come near them as the second-placed team, Dawson Community College, is currently behind the Strong Hearts by three wins. That says a lot about Chandigarh Military Academy's domination. With only two games to go, let's see if the Strong Hearts can take their revenge for their first defeat handed by Seth Johnson College.

The news of Chandigarh Military Academy winning their conference spread like wildfire in Pratapgadh. Even the most famous sportsman of Pratapgadh sent their congratulations to the Strong Hearts. Pratapgadhi cricketers, Rajendra Rathore, Sanjay Gadia and Farhang Gondalwala congratulated the Strong Hearts and sent their best wishes. Rajendra Rathore, a basketball fan himself, tweeted "Well played boys, you have shown the world that Pratapgadh is not behind in basketball. I remember the dark days of basketball when the sport slowly declined. The schools of Pratapgadh have given the sport another life, respect for you guys." The local parks and courts are now seeing basketball being played by not just children, but adults too. This tells us that basketball is making a return in Pratapgadh and it is only a matter of time when basketball reaches its new heights. The Chandigarh Military Academy decided to give their students a day off to celebrate this achievement. I had the privilege to talk to these cadets, one of them said "Some of those players are my close friends, seeing them succeed fills my heart with pure joy."

Not just the Strong Hearts, but it looks like other teams could win their respective conferences. Karnavati College, Kumbhalgarh City College, University of Suryapur and University of Jaipur need to make sure they win their last two matches of the group stage in good fashion to make sure they stay on top. Takshashila City College has done very well recently and are currently second in the Big Seven Nine conference and are just behind the Skyhawks. Chittorgarh University made a huge comeback as they were 8-8 after sixteen matches, but are now currently 20-8 after twenty-eight matches. The never give up attitude of the Fireflies helped them win a few matches and regain their confidence. Chittorgarh University must win their next two matches to stay in the top four. Bundi University struggled a bit this time, having lost two of their last four matches and dropping down to fifth in the conference. Their last two matches are key for them to get into the top four. Pratapgadhi schools have done very well this season. Teams such as the Rebels of Takshashila City College defeated Sadega State University in their own backyard, shocking the home crowd of the Skyhawks. A few articles ago I said that if Pratapgadhi schools do well this season, basketball will make their return in Pratapgadh. That is exactly what's happening right now and I hope you join with the rest of us basketball fans to RALLY AROUND PRATAPGADH!

What do we know?

Everlin has done the unthinkable at the start of the season and has won the regular season title of the Pink Fifteen conference. Though the rest of the conference has seemingly caught on to what Everlin is all about in the second half of the season, with many closer than normal games and an additional two losses from the first half of the season, the squad has been consistent enough and had built up enough of a lead at the conference that they need not be overly concerned about the last week of games. They were able to take out the Drawk Corps in the regular season but there is still the conference tournament to worry about and with the Drawk Corps, College of Portside, and North Ankole all quite capable, the conference tournament will be quite a tense affair and by no means should the tournament title be considered an automatic for Everlin, nor any of the other three major contenders.

Mar Sara Tech had a month to remember, winning all eight games in the last month and going from being very concerned about not making the Ultra 64, to thinking that they have a real chance at winning the Five Star Conference tournament if they keep up the form that they have hit at such a pivotal point in the season. The Raiders have finally seemingly found their shooting shoes and have cracked triple digits multiple times in the last four weeks, while their defense has turned into a real capable unit, the third best in the conference, which is the same spot the Raiders have jettisoned into coming into the last week of the season. A single win from their last two games will secure at least a third place finish in the regular season for the Raiders, while two wins and an upset of University of Wisdom-Wollongmatta Bay could see the Raiders take second, though their rivals of Sadeg State have already secured the conference title, despite the Raiders putting up triple digits against them in Sadeg. It was a rare blip for the Skyhawks and one that the Raiders will hope to replicate come the conference tournament and try to grab the automatic spot from the tournament.

The Rockets of Raynor University have had a turnaround in the last month as well, though not quite to the extent of their rivals in Mar Sara, though they are now in a position where wins from the last week of the season and then at least a single win in the conference tournament should be enough to get the largest university of the Eternal Empire into the Ultra 64. The Rockets might rue an upset in Akers, where a last second shot sent the home side into the winner's column while it started off the Rockets end of season run poorly. Yet like the Raiders, the Rockets have found their shooting at the right time in the season and having solidified the fifth position in the Sky Blue conference. It is unlikely that even two wins in the last week will take the Rockets into fourth place in the conference, barring a ton of chaos, but it would secure their fifth position with Instituto de Azucena a game behind the Vanorian blue bloods and the top six schools in the conference all looking good for the Ultra 64 as long as they don't suffer an early upset in the conference tournament.

While they have not officially won the Royal Conference, Turbani Tech has one hand of the regular season conference title, needing to lose both games and see a nearly two hundred point swing in the point differential to not be the champions after this week's of game. Turbani would have the conference officially wrapped up, had they not started this last week by another late loss suffered by a Vanorian school, this time in Turbani when University of Barnley Tech from Kohnhead managed to steal a victory from the conference leaders. They are a team to watch out for in the conference tournament, as will the Old Mountain from Drawkland, to see if the powerhouse can stop the bleeding and reassert their dominance or if Turbani has sent the old power into a tail spin with how dominant they have been with a defense that has been nearly impenetrable.

Sabinal State looked like they might have given Cemmendy Tech of Drawkland a run for their money, yet they faltered a few too many times during the stretch and Cemmendy has one of the best teams in all of the NSCAA this season. However this is a massive improvement from the last season for the Sabinal school and it is a big statement to the capabilities of those from Sabine and Caddonia. They will need to win at least one of their last two games this week to make sure that Sankt Adelheid University of Banija does not pip them at the last for second place for the regular season and the better seeding for the conference tournament that comes with it. It has been too good of a regular season for the biggest school in Sabine and Caddonia to falter at the last and they will need to rely on that suffocating defense to bring them the victory to secure not only the seeding for the conference tournament but for seeding for the Ultra 64 as well.

The Corsairs of Rinaldi Naval Academy are reeling, after being absolutely destroyed in Banija against Loyola-Istria, a school more known for their exploits on the gridiron and not the hardcourt. The loss sent the school from second to fourth, letting Loyola-Istria leap frog them into second place, though both schools as well Swisston City of Kohnhead are all hoping that Karnavati College has a very difficult last week. Rinaldi has the weakest chance of winning the conference title, being in fourth and two games out from Karnavati, as well has coming off that highly embarrassing loss in Banija. However college basketball is all about madness and it would be well within the parameters of madness for Karnavati, Loyola, and Swisston to all lose this week, but it is unlikely and now the Corsairs will need to gather their pride and get ready for a conference tournament that will be very competitive with four teams that seem on paper to be very much on the same level as one another.

South Caddonia University sits a game back of University of Jaipur after dropping three of their four games the last two weeks and seemingly choking away the conference title of the Flying Drawk in the process. Doubling the loss column during the final stretch of games is far from the sort of form that you would hope from a team that had looked absolutely on top of the world through the first twenty games and walking their way to a regular season title. No defeats has been by more than five points, as South Caddonia has seemingly has not been able to finish off games. With a vastly inferior point differential to Jaipur, the Flying Drawk is over with in all but name and the school will need to instead try to right the ship and get their minds right before the tournament comes. They played quite well during most of the regular season and if they can channel that in what would be four games needed for a conference tournament championship run, it would be hard not to give them a fairly good chance of winning the tournament even if Jaipur has been more dominant in their victories.

University of Hondo is two games back but does have a better point differential than University of Suryapur, yet Suryapur is responsible for half of Hondo's losses in the season and has looked the better team despite Hondo having lead the conference for over half of the season. All of the schools from Pratapgadh have had amazing second halves as well as good seasons overall, perhaps looking to replace Drawkland as the premier collegiate basketball empire. Hondo is most assuredly in the Ultra 64 regardless of what happens in this last week of the regular season or the conference tournament, but the side would surely like to finish on a high point rather than a low, have three losses in the second half of the season so far when they only had a single loss to Suryapur in the first half.

BARNETTSVILLE:

Nampa State (18-10, 5th in Conference, NR, 1) - The Broncos currently are in the tournament, and with a good showing in the conference tournament, will reach 20 wins. That almost certainly get them in as a 11 to 14 seed. They currently are projected as a 13 seed.

Northern Dinagat State (15-13 6th in Conference, NR, 2) - The Panthers, assuming they don’t go one-and-done in the conference tournament, should get in anywhere from 11 to 15 in the Ultra 64.

Fair Haven State (12-16, 9th in Conference, NR, 3) - The Blue Jays have muddled through the conference schedule. If they get in they deserve, at best, a 14 seed. If they get in, they will most likely get a 15 or 16.

Susquehanna (12-16, 8th in Conference, NR, 4) - See above. The same applies.

Atlantic Christian (12-16, 12th in Conference, NR, 5) - A conference tournament run, may land them a 15 or 16-seed in the Ultra 64.

Bayview State (11-17, 11th in Conference, NR, 6) - If BSU can have a good conference tournament showing - say, championship game appearance? - we may be looking at an Ultra 64 #16 seed.

Tidewater State (11-17, 11th in Conference, NR, 7) - see above. The same applies.

Southern Dinagat State (8-20, 14th in Conference, NR, 8) - Well, the Rams aren’t last. That’s all we can say. Their only hope is winning the conference tournament.

NSCAA 12: Who's In For Drawkland?

NSCAA 12: WHO'S IN FOR DRAWKLAND?
Written By: Nick Fleming and Niccolo Dee

Well, another NSCAA 12 regular season is nearly over! This season of international college basketball has been much more exciting and competitive than past seasons, and thus the traditional "Drawkian Dominance" of college basketball is no longer the status quo. That's not totally our fault though - after all, we're seeing huge resurgences from programs in Pratapgadh and Valanora. Plus, we're still recovering from ... The Drought. We're not going to talk about that right now, though. Sometime later, perhaps.

Right now, with only two games remaining in the regular season before the conference championships begin, we're going to look at each Drawkian school, how they've been performing so far, and their chances of making the Ultra 64. The results may surprise you!

CEMMENDY TECH
Conference: Calania / Record: 25-3 (+562) / Placement: 1st
In something that may cause you to reminisce for the days of NSCAA 7, Cemmendy Tech's Cyberpunks are lighting up the hardcourt, and proving their worth as a potential Top 5 seed in the entire Ultra 64 bracket. They currently have the best differential in the tournament, despite taking 3 losses (one of them a blowout). What differs from NSCAA 7, though, is that Cemmendy Tech is currently the best Drawkland has to offer, rather than playing bridesmaids to a superior Drawkian squad. In this season of the NSCAA, it's not the Drawkians, but the Pratapgadhans who are dominating the top of the rankings. At 25-3, the Cyberpunks are only 4th in the competition, behind 3 Prata schools. They'll have a lot to prove in the Ultra 64, especially to kill old demons and make a deep run, but the good news is that they've already punched their ticket. The Calania Conference had a couple notable schools, but Cemmendy has easily outpaced them all, and have clinched the regular season title with two games to go. They don't even need to win the tournament to advance, but at this level of play, they probably will.
Ultra 64: Clinched!

SADEG STATE
Conference: Five Star / Record: 24-4 (+461) / Placement: 1st
Since their almost-perfect run in NSCAA 7, Sadeg State have established themselves as bona fide blue bloods in the college basketball realm. When DISC decided to drop Drawk Corps U from the NSCF entry and replace them with Sadeg State, it was a hugely popular decision. It turned out well, as the Skyhawks asserted themselves as stalwarts on the gridiron, too. When they finally righted the NSCAA 7 wrong by winning the NSCAA 10 championship, they cemented the Skyhawk legacy as one of dominance. This season has been no different. While the Skyhawks may not be topping the charts compared to some powerhouses from other conferences, they've certainly made the Five Star Conference their bitch. It's no easy conference either - Vanorians, TJUN-ians, Pratapgadhans, and others all have entries in this conference. And yet, the Skyhawks find themselves three games up with two to go. The Ultra 64 is now a thankful reality for the Skyhawks. All there is to play for now is seeding, pride, and momentum.
Ultra 64: Clinched!

DUCENTU STATE
Conference: Eternal / Record: 25-3 (+410) / Placement: 1st
Ducentu State made a name for themselves in NSCAA 10, when they captured the #1 seed in the Ultra 64. Nobody expected them to be one of the elite Drawkian schools, but the Eagles certainly put up enough on the court to gain widespread respect. This season has been mostly kind to them as well. They haven't really been a dominant program like they were that NSCAA 10 season, but they've beat up on the Eternal Conference enough to get a good record and cement themselves as a shoo-in for the tournament. We'll be honest, the Eternal Conference is not really one of the stronger outfits in the competition, so this will hurt Ducentu's outlook a bit. Still, they're 3 games up with 2 to go, so their ticket is punched. We'll see how they perform down the stretch.
Ultra 64: Clinched!

CAVSAR
Conference: Orange 16 / Record: 23-5 (+415) / Placement: 1st
Cavsar University are the newest Drawkian school to be entered in the NSCAA, though now they have several seasons under their belt. Also being entered in the NSCF, the Gladiators are trying to establish themselves as not just a weaker version of Sadeg State, but a true contender in their own right. In the Orange 16 Conference, they've made a bit of a name for themselves. The road has not been easy, taking 5 losses throughout the season, but they've been really solid down this final stretch. With six games to play they were tied with Kohnhead's Wangor State for first in the conference. Over the next two weeks, they beat Wangor State outright, and dispatched several midmajor contenders as well. Cavsar now sits in 1st place in the conference, two games up with two to go. To miss Ultra 64 qualification, they'd have to lose against two bottom half teams in the conference, Wangor would have to go undefeated, and also defeat a nearly 150-point swing in differential. To say Cavsar is guaranteed qualification is incorrect, but it's hard to imagine a universe where they don't. We have questions about their sustainability in the Ultra 64 itself, but the Orange 16 conference tournament will surely answer a couple of them.
Ultra 64: 99%

ELMANDEN DISTRICT
Conference: Sky Blue / Record: 23-5 (+355) / Placement: 2nd
Elmanden District College had a hot start to the season, which quickly fell to shit in the second half. At the halfway point, many were expecting to call the Sky Blue Conference for the Mechanors, but their sudden inconsistency, as well as a surprising hot streak from Cassadaigua's Brat Tech, has left Elmanden scrambling, and suddenly surrendering control of the Sky Blue to the Brats. They're two games down with two to go, but it's actually not impossible for the Mechanors to still win the Sky Blue title. They have the Head-to-Head in hand against Brat Tech (2-0, baby!), and are facing two middling squads to end their season. Brat Tech, on the other hand, has to face two Top 5-level teams to end their conference play. Considering their recent form, they'll probably win at least one of these games and clinch the title, but it's a reasonable possibility for Elmanden to make the comeback. Provided they win at least one of their last two, Elmanden will at least get second in the conference. So if Brat Tech or Elmanden win the Sky Blue tournament, both will have the automatic berth to the tournament, barring some really really wacky results in this last week of play.
Ultra 64: 95%

OLD MOUNTAIN
Conference: Royal / Record: 22-6 (+317) / Placement: 2nd
Old Mountain has had a similar season to their NSCAA 8 title game opponents in Elmanden. They started off really hot, taking the Royal Conference by storm, but suffered a second half slump which opened the door for a hungry contender squad to sweep into first place. In this case, it's the Vanorian outfit Turbani Tech taking the lead of two games with two to go. Turbani Tech has the advantage in Head-to-Head record, points, and point differential, and they play two bottom half teams to end their season. The chances of Old Mountain winning the Royal regular season title is pretty much shot. Their only opportunity for clinching an automatic berth will be if they or Turbani Tech win the conference tournament title, since Old Mountain is firmly clinching the 2nd place slot in the conference. Even if these both fall through, OMU is a Top 20 team in the NSCAA, so their chances of getting in via at-large are extremely high.
Ultra 64: 90%

DRAWK CORPS U
Conference: Pink 15 / Record: 22-6 (+328) / Placement: 3rd
As you might've noticed from EDC and OMU's struggles, this is a pretty common theme for these lower-half Drawkian teams right now. Drawk Corps U got to a strong start in the Pink 15, only for the contenders to pass them up. A series of upsets and losses against good opponents has left Drawk Corps U tied for 2nd place in the conference against College of Portside, but losing that tie thanks to head-to-head results. Valanora's Everlin University have already clinched the conference title, leaving DCU and CofP to duke it out for second place. In fact, the very next game will be the deciding matchup, straight up head-to-head. Their last matchup ended in a 1-point OT win for the hosting Portside, so a Corps win here would not only swing the head-to-head in their favor, but put them a win ahead with a date against the worst school in the conference to wrap up the season. Whoever wins this game is virtually guaranteed the #2 slot. Second place in the conference is crucial, for if the favorites in Everlin take the tournament title as well, 2nd place will earn the regular season berth.
Ultra 64: 85%

CORINTH CITY
Conference: Sealion / Record: 15-13 (+108) / Placement: 7th
Corinth City, in short, has been fucking awful. While all other Drawkian schools started the first two weeks of the season undefeated and taking quick control of their conferences, the Chargers lost their first game of the entire season to what would become the second-worst team in the conference. It hasn't even looked up from there. Now, Corinth City sits at 15-13, a couple more upsets from finishing a mere .500 on the season. Not only that, but they're 7th in their conference, with no real path to becoming a top seed. In short, they've sucked. The worst performance from a Drawkian team we've ever seen, NSCAA 11 notwithstanding. Their only hopes of making the Ultra 64 lie in an upset win of the stacked Sealion Conference tournament. Their chances of making it into the Ultra 64 via At-Large is also virtually none, as they're far outside the Top 64 rankings. To have a solid shot of making it in, you'll need 20 wins by season's end. Corinth City can't possibly make that happen. For the first (real) time, Drawkland will likely only get 7 teams in the Ultra 64, rather than the full slate. Shame on you, Corinth.

NSCAA Calania Conference Championship Venue : ARKHAM PENITENTIARY AND REHABILITATION CENTRE

Image
Views from the top of the Water Clock Tower, South Wing

Of course, there is no fun in any Quebecois hosting without inviting our doomed to the Hell's Dungeon. The tradition of horror and pain continues as FASANDA Sports and Entertainment Group announces the agreement with NSCAA to host the NSCAA Calania Conference Championship in Arkham Penitentiary and Rehabilitation Centre, District 13, Terra Henrius.

The Arkham Penitentiary and Rehabilitation Centre is a vast, isolated and most importantly a penitentiary centre in District 13, Terra Henrius, a Quebecois penal colony that nobody in Quebec gives a serious damn about. Built in 2017 following the transfer of Southern Mertagne to Quebecois interests, the Arkham Penitentiary and Rehabilitation Centre is pretty much a jungle within the jungle that is Terra Henrius. Ever since its opening thirty years ago, it has replaced Marijuana Island as the home to 40,000 prisoners out of roughly 4 million incarcerated in this penal colony. Seventeen years, out of prisoners' boredom that led them to contact FASANDA Sports and Entertainment Group, Arkham Penitentiary and Rehabilitation is probably your ideal venue for a riveting, gut-chugging, boo-fiddling basketball tournament. Being an open-range jail complex, with over 3,000 acres just for the incarceration of mere 9,000 prisoners, the Pen has an outdoor basketball arena whose capacity is 66,666, but of course it's not going to be like typical basketball arenas (see Marijuana Island Gaol). Quebec, as one of the powerhouse nations in basketball with long traditions in both men's and women's disciplines, is honoured to once again open up the venue for the sake of shits and giggles.

Use: With Terra Henrius being a penal colony of 1.2 million prisoners (600,000 whom had survived the Accidental Nuking of Gotham just 8 years ago), Arkham Penitentiary and Rehabilitation Centre is used for many intra-colonial tournaments, such as Executioners' Hoops Classic, Do-Or-Die Tournaments and of course the Annual Hunger Games where all 13 districts gather to kill each other off. Its regular tenants are the physical education and health classes held in the gym and the weight rooms. For the practices, there will be practice courts available throughout the property, though access key is required to reach them.

Location: Located at the heart of Southern Calania, it is roughly 700 kilometres northwest of Gotham. The Penitentiary Centre is surrounded by barren, nuclear desert in which the growth of any normal plantation is not expected. The weather here stays roughly in the 40s range celsius in daytime and 10s in nighttime. If there's any consolation to that, there is no snowfall here, though your happiness there is really more or less dependent upon your tolerance of sand, sun and humidity. Not fun.

It is recommended that the visitors fly their way into Arkham, but do not wander around once in the property. Way too many lives were lost wandering about in this place and it would suck if you become one of them. Especially if you're one of the participants. The chance of anybody that's not scavenging for food or supplies is very low out there.

Access: Like with Marijuana Island, there's only so many places that one can stop by en route to Arkham. The nearest city recognised from Arkham, by official purposes, Gotham, is 793 kilometres away. It is also around 3,000 kilometres south of mainland Quebec, so it is recommended that people head straight to Gotham instead of making a stop in Quebec.

From there, you can access Marijuana Island through four options : take a twice-weekly mixed train, a chartered flight organised by FASANDA entertainment, fly straight there after a refuelling stop from Gotham (Arkham Airfield has neither refuelling nor maintenance facilities) or drive your way there in middle of desert. For those arriving via the mixed train, 5 buses will be provided to handle the traffic, while for those flying into Arkham they will be able to enjoy a 7 kilometre underground moving walkway directly to the Entrance Hall.

As for Gotham, Gotham International Airport is open 24 hours, 365 days, but......it's not functioning properly. Expect few unusable gates, extra time to process luggage and worse, machine gun firings on aircraft.

Other Features: All the accommodations for all of prisoners, guards and visitors are underground, containing 10,930 beds in 56 cells. Out of those, 14 are reserved for visitors, which are equipped with all the modern amenities and has Wi-Fi. There are also two mess halls- the bigger one for guests and of course the smaller one for prisoners. A large selection of food, alcohol and marijuana should also be available, and those with specific dietary restrictions will be given priority as long as they send their meal plan requests seven weeks in advance. Should there be way too many fans or delegation members on Arkham, however, they will be given a flat ground and a blanket to sleep in their visitor cells. This, a huge departure from the traditional approach still used in Marijuana Island Gaol, is to avoid any unnecessary contact with prisoners that may have their back unwillingly opened.

Checking up with the NSCAA,
By Chloe Dufresne, Concord Heights Times

Conference play has come to an end in the NSCAA tournament, a part of the competition that can seem to be a drag at times for the players but a very necessary component to truly determine who goes to the Ultra 64.
Things were more competitive this time around, and that is a win for everyone who wants to see a great final tournament. It is not just Saint Kanye and Banija like it seemed like last time. We’ve done well, Drawkland found even number form, Valanora’s been strong. Schools from Pratagradh have been very impressive, too, and with that, spelling them becomes easier (I think). Now, we begin conference tournaments, and for the most part, Cassadagan schools are seeded well, but some much better than others.

Brattleboro Technical Institute (27-3)- Losing at the buzzer to Elmanden District College seemed to make this team angry, and they took it out on everyone else, becoming nearly unstoppable down the stretch. Because of that, and Elmanden dropping a couple surprises, it is the Brats that come on top in the Sky Blue Conference. That gets them the automatic bid, but they are aiming for much more than that. Junior guard Rachel St. Clair says they want Elmanden again, “We want to face Elmanden in the final of this conference tournament. Why? Because we are always going to have that question over us as to whether or not we were the best team in the conference and that will affect our seeding. If our record just shows that we beat everyone else in the tournament and not them, then have we really impressed anyone? We know what we got to do. It’s not that I am calling them out, but I want that game, because we need that game. They probably feel the same way about us.” Now, I will say that the Sky Blue has other threats too, especially Chittogarh University, who won 12 of their last 13 as they began to play at the level of others from Pratapgardh. Raynor University is a proven nation, and Kohnface City did finish third, after all, so they loom as a threat as well.

New Lakeland University (26-4)- They may be surprising people in the NSCF, but in the NSCAA, there is nothing surprising about the NSCAA 9 winner doing well. They would top the Woodlands Conference by four games, and thanks to that, they have already locked in their Ultra 64, but they are playing for so much more. Keep in mind that this team has players on it that did win the championship as the senior class were freshmen in NSCAA 9. For 7’0” center Kelsey Turnbull, she remembered that run very well. “We weren’t expected to win that championship, but we kept pouring it on and getting wins. Our confidence never wavered, and the results kept coming for us. Over the last two seasons of this, we have not been able to get back to the championship, and I would really love for the younger players on this team to experience it. It is a tough thing to do, but it starts by doing well now, and winning games within your conference and in this tournament. So don’t look ahead to the big dance now, focus on the task at hand.”

University of Concord Heights (24-6)- The Cassadagan national champions, and the winner of the NSCAA 5 tournament played well in the Eternal Conference, getting the second spot with a 24-6 record. They would finish three games behind the Drawkish winners, Ducentu State University. It’s a good clip for a school that knows what it takes to win it all at the end, even if that was some time ago. I have heard some people wonder if the Eternal Conference was one of the better ones this year and if it was just top heavy with us and Ducentu. If more people feel that way, then UCH might not get as good of a seed in the Ultra 64 as they would like. Right now, I think the overall impression of them is of a school that is one that you don’t want to play in the Ultra 64, but one that probably won’t win it all. But senior guard Destiny Gomez says that might be a mistake, “We won our national championship, so we know what it takes to win a tournament like the Ultra 64. The competition is much more fierce, but look, we know we can be the best in the World.”

Seth Johnson College (23-7)- A few years ago, the all-male school entered NSCAA play and they made a good name for themselves, putting the “man” in Salamantica with a third place showing. They get a ton of support from men in Cassadaigua, obviously, but as time has gone on, even women have become impressed with watching this Grande Mountain-based institution. Junior forward Kyle Germain told me, “It is not about proving that men in Cassadaigua can be competitive with the rest of the world, as I think that we have already done that, at least as a college here in the NSCAA tournament. Right now, we are at a point where we want to win a championship. We always seem to get a little better every year. You know, after being upset in our own national tournament early, we want to redeem ourselves right here, and we can do that.”

Grande Mountain University (19-11)- I would have liked to have seen this team do a little better in the Calania Conference, but that is because 20 wins just looks a lot better than 19 wins. Still, they should get to 20 within the conference tournament. They were fourth overall, but well behind the top three here. Sophomore guard Tara Hopkins told me that, “I don’t know if we were a little tired from the long campaign at home where we made it all the way to the national championship. The results aren’t there for us, but I know that we can get hot at any time. Hopefully that begins now.” Indeed, I hope that it does. GMU should get into the big dance without a problem, but their issue is probably going to be their seeding. An early exit in the conference tournament would not likely mean a great seed. It will be important for them to do well.

University of Victoriaville (19-11)- This was a team that hovered around .500 for the first half of the competition in the Royal Conference, but started to see better results down the stretch. They should be able to get into the Ultra 64 without a problem, but they can erase any doubts of that with a strong run. They finished fifth, which means a showdown with top seed Turbani Tech of Valanora could be looming, but if they make it to that point, they’d have 21 wins, and that gets you into the big dance, I would think. Freshman Brittany Presser says, “As this rolled along, we started playing better, and with that comes confidence. We are not like the other schools from Cassadaigua that have been coming here before. We were all freshmen in regards to NSCAA experience.”

Concord Heights Beauty School (18-12)- This tournament marks the second one in a row now where the Beauty School has failed to live up to their expectations. Perhaps, the conference played out to be tough as when you look at the Flying Drawk, you see five teams between 20-10 and 18-12. So, with a little more luck and breaks, then CHBS has a better campaign in the standings. In reality, though, they finished sixth and will be on the bubble for the Ultra 64 just like they were last time. Junior guard Makenzie Stratton told me that, “I’ll tell it you straight, some of us got a little home sick. I think we wish we could just play the Ultra 64 tournament instead of having all of these games leading up to the conference tournament. Now, we got even more games, but we will like this better. Time for a tournament and playoffs, and this is where we will thrive. Expect better from us!”

Starksville Medical Institute (18-12)- They are not new to the international competition, but so far SMI has not been able to have a strong showing in the tournament. Their 18-12 record in conference play is below par for us as a nation, but nothing that we haven’t seen before from them. This only got them in 7th in the Orange 16, and they are a bubble team right now for the Ultra 64. A great run in the conference tournament will change that, but at this point, I am not sure if they are going to do that. Naturally, junior guard Rachel Hamby disagreed when I asked her about it, “Nothing is ever guaranteed in a conference tournament. We are a seven seed, but in a knockout tournament like we are about to have, anything can happen. We just have to execute, and we have not always done that for various reasons. This is new life for us, and we want to represent Cassadaigua in the big tournament, for sure.”

DROP IT DOWN!: Into The Tournaments We All Go!

Postby TJUN-ia » Sat Mar 20, 2021 11:13 am

After all the chaos we have seen so far in TJUN-ia's debut NSCAA campaign, we have finally arrived at Conference Championship Season. 13 teams have already claimed a spot in the Elite 64 by winning the regular season in each of the 13 Conferences, but how do the TJUN-ian teams fare entering a potential final shot at a bid to the dance?

3-1: Three Late Losses Costs Mariners The 2nd Seed in Pink 15
Record: Beat Everlin by 4, Lancea by 29 and Bientiane by 15 before falling to DGT by 1 in OT, DCU by 7 and California by 6
Verdict: CPortside started the final games really well, especially that upset over Everlin, but then a 3-game losing run gifted Drawk Corp the 2nd seed and the M's now settle for the 3rd just over North Ankole. Hernando Jotara has been excellent for most of this campaign and with Three Sisters College up first in the tourney, many in Portside will be hoping that this slide ends very quickly.

5-1: Wallabies Fly High To Claim 2nd Seed In Five Star
Record: Beat BHSU by 11, lost to College of Ware by 13 before beating TCC by 4, SUC by 17, Motostoke by 24 and Southern Dinagat State by 3.
Verdict: Losing to the College of Ware was the only stutter for UWWB in their final 6, putting in some epic performances to take the 2nd seed over Mar Sara Tech on head-to-head record. Players like Edmund Williamson have been dynamite on the court for most of this season and with a rematch against 15th seed Motostoke in the First Round, Wisdom on the Bay will be looking for a deep run to cement a ticket to the dance.

4-2: Islanders Slip Twice, Falls to 7th Seeds In Calania
Record: Lost to Cemmendy Tech by 15, beat PCT by 16, PSH by 1 and Bassachusetts before losing to SAFA by 16 and beating NBPSU by 13.
Verdict: It certainly was a fun time for Al-Hilal in the final 6 games, with only a resurgent Eldora denying AHU the 6th seed in this conference. Mohammed Alawi is certainly a fun player for the future and with a match-up against Austin College up next, it will be interesting to see how far this unit can go in the hunt for a bid.

2-4: Los Leones Breaks Cycle By Losing, Gets 8th Seed in Eternal
Record: Lost to KSU by 3, beat KCU by 14, lost to Penske College by 1, beat DSU by 2 in OT before falling to Atlantic Christian by 3 and ITM by 7.
Verdict: It was looking like another even run for UC in the Eternal but back to back tight loses broke that cycle, sending the team to just under .500 at 14-16. Gilberto Flores has been a bright spark for this team at times but with inconsistency the name of the game at La Guarida, it will be interesting to see if they can do well in a rematch with 9th seeded Kentucky Commonwealth.

3-3: 3-Game Run Recovers Los Surfistas To 6th Seeds In Woodland
Record: Lost to NLU by 12, CGCU by 1 and Moravica by 15 before beating Soria by 11, Bornell by 27 and NIFB Virkaja by 11.
Verdict: If UC broke the even recorded with two losses, UP broke it with two wins as a 3-game losing run was complimented by a 3-game winning run to give Pacifico a surprising 6th seed. Jucinara Benites certainly helped turn this team around and with Vricksinburg State the opponent in the conference tourney, can the team in blue and pink keep their dancing hopes alive?

5-1: Jaipur Only Stumble For Green Flash As They Take 7th In Flying Drawk
Record: Beat CHBS by 2, Talladega by 7 and Blue Coast by 31 before falling to Jaipur by 11. Then beat Kotiga by 32 and Queensbridge by 30.
Verdict: UCPT certainly found their mojo back for the final 6 games with three wins by 30 or more and only a loss to conference-winning Jaipur the only blemish on the record. Layton Palmer certainly helped rack up the score and with Bayview State the first test in the tourney, can the good times continue for the team from Port Centre?

4-2: A Blowout And An Upset Stifiles Grizzlies, Falls To 3rd In Big 79
Record: Beat Višnjevac by 2 before falling to EHCF by 12 and East Kalos College by 12. Then beat UNG by 14, Politechnica Soria by 7 and NSU by 27.
Verdict: CSU certainly tried their best here but that blowout by Elmore Heights and that upset by EKC meant they surrendered the 2nd seed to Tundra Falls by a game. Igor Kuchayev certainly helps in getting some important points on the board and with Newton State up first in the tourney, it will be very interesting to see how deep CenSta can go in a knockout format.

6-0: Dragons Ends Season On 9-Game Hot Streak, Secures 5th In Sealion
Record: Beat SGCU by 15, Dietrich by 9, Corinth City by 25, Birmingham by 14, Endborough College by 13 and Saguenay by 13.
Verdict: The Dragons of HPU have certainly awoken now as the Dragons enter the conference tourney on a dominant 9-game winning run, going from 0-4 to the 5th seeds in spectacular fashion. Song Qingwei was absolutely on fire in that run and with a rematch with Saguenay up next, are the Dragons going to somehow make the dance?

COLLEGE SCORECARD
CPortside Mariners: 22-8, 3rd in Pink 15
UWWB Wallabies: 23-7, 2nd in Five Star

Pratapgadhi Schools Win 5 Conferences!
Written By Swara Servaia

This is the best news for a Pratapgadhi basketball fan, five Pratapgadhi schools have won their respective conferences! University of Suryapur, Chandigarh Military Academy and Kumbhalgarh City College won their respective conferences convincingly, while the University of Jaipur and Karnavati College won their conferences at twenty-four wins and six defeats each. This comes as an absolute shocker to many prominent basketballing nations such as Drawkland and Cassadaigua. Is this the start of a new revolution? It certainly is, thirteen schools have automatically qualified for the Ultra 64. Four of them are Drawkian, two are from Valanora, two from Cassadaigua and five from Pratapgadh. Fans back in Pratapgadh are losing their minds as the conference tournaments are about to start. Can the Fireflies, Rebels and Bulls win their conference tournaments to qualify for the Ultra 64? I hope so, as that would mean all Pratapgadhi schools would be in the Ultra 64. Let's not get our hopes too high.

Let's talk about Chittorgarh University. The Fireflies had a rough start in the season as they were 8-8 after passing the half-way checkpoint. This disappointed a lot of Chittorgarh University fans as they expected much better from their team. However, to everyone's surprise, the Fireflies struck back and won thirteen of their last fourteen matches, bringing their record to 21-9 and ending up fourth in the conference. The resilience of the Fireflies was praised by many critics as they believed the team was doomed. If the Fireflies had played like this earlier, they could have been in the top three or maybe even be a contender for winning the conference. They still have a chance at the Ultra 64 like Takshashila City College and Bundi University, the conference tournament. They need to look out for Raynor University, who they lost to in the first half but got some retribution in the second half of the season. The Raynor University team are certainly disappointed with their performance so far, so they will looking to win this tournament to get into the Ultra 64. There are many strong teams here such as Brattleboro Technical Institute and Elmanden District College, who could crush the dreams of the Fireflies to get into the Ultra 64. They will be playing the thirteenth team at the conference, Gornja Dabova College in the Round of Sixteen. If the Fireflies could get a win here, then they would go on to face either Raynor University or Northern Grey County Provincial University, most likely Raynor University.

Time to talk about the second-best school in Pratapgadh and one of the originals of the NCBC Championship, University of Jaipur. The Pillars have done very well this season. They had a rocky start with a 2-2 record after four matches, but quickly picked up their game and went on a winning streak of six matches before succumbing to Queensbridge University from Saint Kanye. It looked like they would end up in the top three at best. However, the Pillars proved as they were persistent and kept their game up instead of falling for a losing streak. A few hiccups on the way to winning the conference championship, but ended with a record of 24-6. Even the Pillars didn't expect to beat South Caddonia University in the race for the conference title, but here they are. Their captain, Kaushal Sureka, has been one of the best players this season and a very good leader too. In an interview on PRT News Media, he said, "We just made sure that we kept winning and we knew that there would be a few hiccups on the way, but the wins were necessary for us to be at the top. I was aiming to win the conference, of course, but I expected us to fall short against South Caddonia University. That didn't happen and we are glad to be one of the schools to win a conference for Pratapgadh. Our school has been one of the pillars of sport for years, that is why we are known as 'the pillars'." The Pillars will now be facing the bottom-most team of the Flying Drawk conference, Penn Northern University Appalachian, in the Round of Sixteen. An easy win for the Pillars here, they would face either Queensbridge University or Sarnia Tech University in the quarter-finals. The Pillars remember how they first lost to Queensbridge University in the first half of the season but took their revenge in the second half. The Pillars would be looking to prove that they are better than the Queensbridge University team. The Pillars already defeated Sarnia Tech University twice, so they will be looking for a weaker opponent for the quarter-finals.

Now, let's about the revolutionary Rebels, Takshashila City College. After the first eight matches, people believed that Takshashila City College would either end up in the middle or the bottom of the conference. However, the Rebels fought back and ended up fourth on the conference table after thirty games. Not just that, they defeated the Skyhawks in their own backyard! Imagine how pissed off the fans would have been, seeing nobody teams like Takshashila City College beat their home team who are considered the best in Drawkland. The Rebels have ended up fourth and have proved their point, they are here to compete and not just fall like a pack of cards. The Rebels will carry on their rebellion against the elite teams, now they will be facing Universidade Portia from Lisander. The Lisanderian teams haven't had the best time this season, but they will look to somehow get into the Ultra 64 by winning their respective conference tournaments. The Rebels might win here and go on to either face South Union College or Belle Haven State University.

The Planetary Conference champions! The Hoopers of the University of Suryapur! The Hoopers have had a fantastic season, being undefeated for thirteen matches, which ended when they lost to North-Parga State on Matchday 14. However, they kept their heads high and went to make sure that the second half was tightly in their grasp. The Hoopers shocked the world when they defeated the University of Hondo in the first half of the season. The University of Suryapur was the first performing team of all Pratapgadhi teams in NSCAA 10, seeing them beat the University of Hondo was surprising to the fans of the Hoopers back in Suryapur. This wasn't a one-off, though, as they defeated the University of Hondo for the second time in the conference. This was a statement by the Hoopers, that they are the real deal. Defeating the University of Hondo twice guaranteed their spot in Ultra 64 in the eyes of not just Pratapgadhis, but Drawkians and Vanorians too. They ended their season on 28-2 with a point differential of +508 and won the Planetary Conference. They will now face New Springs University, easy picking, but never underestimate anyone. If the Hoopers win their Round of Sixteen match, they will face either Fair Haven State or the University of Bompton. શુભેચ્છા/Śubhēcchā! (Good luck!)

The Bulls! You're next in line! Not the best of Pratapgadhi schools, but did well in the second half and ended up with a record of 20-10, finishing third in the Orange 16 Conference. They surprisingly did better than expected, I mean they are the fifth-best school, but they had a weak lineup for NSCAA 12. However, they proved me and a lot of critics wrong as they were decent. They lost ten matches, most out of all Pratapgadhi schools. But hey! They are third! I am sorry to all the Bulls fans, but I have nothing to say about these guys other than they did well this season. They will be facing Bamford Military Academy in the Round of Sixteen, who they lost to before in the second half. Let's hope the Bulls survive the onslaught of the military. Let's move on.

The Defenders of Karnavati College! Champions of the Sealion Conference! They deserved it, they have been consistent when looking back at NSCAA 10 where Karnavati College performed really well for Pratapgadh. They continued their brilliant journey to NSCAA 12 and won the Sealion Conference. They played well from the start and were consistent. Their main competition was Swisston City University from Konhead and the University of Loyola-Istria from Banija. Many believed that either school would go on to win the conference and qualify for the Ultra 64. However, the Defenders came out of nowhere and won the conference, probably pissing off a few fans. They will be facing Southern Grey County College in the Round of Sixteen, another college from Grey County. The Grey County schools have been the worst this season, so an easy win for Karnavati College here. They will either face RAS St. Andrei from Savojarna or the University of Dietrich from Ranoria in the quarter-finals. Both Swisston City University and the University of Loyola-Istria would be looking to qualify and take their frustrations out on the Defenders in the Ultra 64.

Salute for the Strong Hearts! They have performed the best out of all thirteen schools that have qualified for the Ultra 64. Only one loss, can you believe that! The Strong Hearts have literally marched over all the teams and planted their flag on the Salamantica Conference. The young blood of the Strong Hearts has proven their worth in the military academy. They will be good soldiers once they graduate. They also got their retribution against Seth Johnson College from Cassadaigua, who handed the Strong Hearts their first and only loss. Now the Chandigarh Military Academy will be facing Technical College of Vangaziland in the Round of Sixteen. The technical college hasn't played well at all, so an easy win for the Strong Hearts here. They could face Richardson University or Barvard University in the quarter-finals. The Strong Hearts have defeated both of them twice, defeating Barvard University by big margins. So if either team face the Strong Hearts in the quarter-finals, I would still bet on the Strong Hearts.

Last, but not least, the Aces of Kumbhalgarh City College! What a performance from a team that was considered the weakest of all, a slap to the faces of critics. The Aces have been kicking ass since day one, continued to put out their best performance regardless of how others were doing at the time. They kept their focus on one thing, conference gold. Kumbhalgarh ended up winning the Big Seven Nine Conference with a record of 27-3 with a point differential of +411. The Aces were FOUR WINS ahead of the University of Tundra Falls, can you believe that! The weakest of all Pratapgadhi teams ends up winning the conference ahead of the University of Tundra Falls by four wins! The Aces have aced this season and are looking to do the same in the conference tournament.

Considering how the quality of the game fell a few years before and how it looked like this sport might not survive, the schools have completely turned things around. These schools have played the best basketball of their lifetime, the future of Pratapgadhi basketball looks bright. They might even be selected to represent Pratapgadh in the IBC. Currently, Pratapgadh have five schools in the Ultra 64, more schools than Cassadaigua, even Drawkland! These schools have made a statement and all of us Pratapgadhis should be proud of that and RALLY AROUND PRATAPGADH!

Drawkian Conference Tournament Venues

BIG SEVEN NINE
Image

Venue: Corps Central Court / City: Drawk City / Capacity: 55,000

The Big Seven Nine Conference is headquartered in Drawk City for NSCAA 12. Drawk City, if you don't know, is the "cultural capital" of Drawkland, as well as its largest population center. It's an old, sprawling city with a huge urban center and an even larger suburban region surrounding it. Being an inland city along the banks of a major river and with plenty of suitable land, there's been few geographical barriers limiting its size, which lent itself to the population well into the 20 millions. More importantly, it's a major sports town, being in the northern territory of Drawkland which is traditionally filled with sports fans.

The venue for the Big Seven Nine Conference Tournament is Corps Central Court. This beautiful arena was built to house the basketball team for the Drawk Corps. This nomenclature is a bit confusing for foreigners, so let me explain a bit. A "corps" in Drawkland is like a club or a large group, generally with a membership of like-minded people. Corps can have many purposes or scales. Some corps are for niche hobbyists, or communities within a single town. Other corps are larger scale, having a regional or (in the case of the Drawk Corps) national presence. The Drawk Corps boasts millions of members across the nation and the globe, as well as many businesses and organizations under their umbrella. The most visible face of the Corps is their sports teams and university, both of which have a storied history and a national fanbase.

Corps Central Court is part of the Corps Central Complex, which serves as the headquarters for the Drawk Corps. Four venues for all four major Drawkian sports were built in a similar style to each other, and laid in a diamond shape in the same area. In the middle of these stadiums lies a large skyscraper, where the Corps has all their major offices, as well as some retail and recreational spots in the lower levels. C.C.Court is the basketball component of this Complex, lying between the baseball and soccer stadiums. It was build relatively recently, so its amenities are all top-notch and the arena is in good condition. It's located on the outskirts of town, so it may not be convenient for tourist destinations, but at least it's closer to the airport and not as crowded.

Venue: Sentinel Indoor Stadium / City: Drawk City / Capacity: 51,000

The Flying Drawk Conference is also headquartered in Drawk City for NSCAA 12.

The venue for the Flying Drawk Conference Tournament is Sentinel Indoor Stadium. This is the home of the Drawk City Sentinels, one of the oldest teams in Drawkland's professional basketball league. Throughout their storied history, the Sentinels have had several dynasties. Their success, combined with being in the largest sports market in the country, results in the team always making a lot of money, as well as attracting a lot of talent. They've had a great history, and they needed an arena that matched it.

Sentinel Indoor Stadium, while still one of Drawkland's premier basketball arenas, is starting to reach the end of its lifespan as a stadium. Built several decades ago, the structural integrity of the building is intact, but it's missing a few of the ultra-modern features that newer venues possess. Still, it's hallowed ground for basketball fans, and it's unlikely that the Sentinels will get rid of it anytime soon. For the conference tournament, it'll certainly check all the boxes for a comfortable and convenient venue. It's also located in downtown Drawk City, so it'll be very conveniently located nearby many hotspots for players, fans, and tourists alike.

PLANETARY
Image

Venue: The Ring / City: Metropolon / Capacity: 50,000

The Planetary Conference is headquartered in Metropolon for NSCAA 12. Metropolon is the actual Capital of Drawkland, housing the political offices of the federal government. Drawk City and Metropolon are similar, in that they were both planned cities, rather than grown purely organically throughout history. The similarity ends there, though. Drawk City was "preplanned" as in a spot was deliberately chosen for the capital in the early history of Drawkland, and it grew haphazardly from there. Metropolon was built in the modern era, with the entire road and transport network built intentionally, and even most buildings designed at once from the ground up. What resulted was a massive circular city, a perfect grid, made on an artificial island in a lake. Today it's home to many millions of people, and arguably the focal point of Sonnel's most important nation.

The venue for the Planetary Conference Tournament is The Ring, which is the main basketball venue in the city. It was planned and built with the rest of the city, though at the time Metropolon didn't exist and thus couldn't have any sports teams. When the city was built, people moved in, and it became a bustling hive of activity. When the pro basketball league expanded next, the moguls of Metropolon jumped on the chance, and the Metropolon Towers were created. The name was both a reference to the huge skycrapers in the center of town, as well as a cheeky reference to the fact that basketball players are tall. Since their inception, the Towers made a name for themselves, eventually becoming one of the basketball powerhouses in the DBO.

The Ring itself is one of the four big venues towards the center of Metropolon. Built in tandem with the city and the other venues, it's very convenient to get to, and despite the crowds, it's simple to navigate and doesn't get too congested. Its amenities are top notch, as it was recently refurbished, and that's on top of its intentionally futuristic design. It could end up being a little bit of a culture shock for foreigners, especially due to the city it's surrounded by, but it's definitely a fun attraction. The Planetary Conference teams and fans will absolutely have a good time at The Ring.

Hispinas' PREMIER sports magazine!

Breaking down Ultra 64 chances for all the Hispino schools
Which teams are practically in the tournament and which teams need to win the conference tournament?

MANDRID - With the regular season drawing to a close, thirteen schools have secured a spot in the Ultra 64 tournament as regular season winners. An additional 13 schools would secure a spot if they win the conference tournament, where if any of the 13 who already qualified wins, the second placed team for that conference would punch their ticket to the Big Dance as well.

However, none of the Hispino schools have actually placed top two in the tournament, so if they would not win their respective conference tourneys, they they have to rely to take 1 of the 38 at-large bids which will be decided by the NSCAA Committee. The catch is the schools should have a healthy win-loss record to be able to make it to the tournament. Now let's see which category the Hispino schools will fall in another special edition of the Revista Fuego.

Most probably in the tournament, winning it is a bonus
Colegio de Nuno Espirito Santo - 3rd in Flying Drawk Conference (23 wins and 7 losses)
Monthly performances: 2-2/5-3/8-4/11-5/15-5/19-5/21-7/23-7

Instituto de Tecnologia de Mandrid - 3rd in Eternal Conference (22 wins and 8 losses)
Monthly performances: 2-2/5-3/9-3/12-4/14-6/17-7/20-8/22-8

Universidad de Hispinas - 3rd in Woodland Conference (21 wins and 9 losses)
Monthly performances: 2-2/4-4/6-6/9-7/12-8/16-8/19-9/21-9

Unibersidad sa Cebuenas - 5th in Planetary Conference (20 wins and 10 losses)
Monthly performances: 3-1/6-2/10-2/11-5/14-6/15-9/19-9/20-10

These schools are most likely getting an at-large bid for the Ultra 64 and the only way it would not be the case is if they somehow win the conference tournament. Three Hispino schools placed third in the NSCAA's conference phase, unfortunately this is not enough in case the #1 seed wins their conference tournament as well.

The Purple Phantoms were the closest of the three, as they were unable to catch South Caddonia and Jaipur to the #1 seed.Josefino Nuno has to be satisfied that they would avoid Jaipur in the bracket until the finals, but they have to beat the Vanorian school in a potential semifinal matchup if they want the title. Concord Heights Beauty School should also be watched out for as a potential elimination point for the Vigano-based school.

The Red Cardinals did not have the most exciting of starts with a 2-2 record, but their steady performances enabled them to finish third as well in the Eternal Conference, although Ducentu State and Concord Heights would be big road blocks for Eresenio Carrera's team if they want to get a higher seeding.

Unlike the first two, the Green Geniuses struggled in mediocrity in their first 12 games, but a remarkable turnaround from Adolfo Tamayo's squad yielded a 15-3 record in the remainder of the Woodland Conference games, and in the end snagged the third seed. Thankfully there were no Drawkian threat to the bracket, but Northern Moravica and top seeded New Lakeland should be considered seriously if they want a higher seed.

Finally, the surprise Hispino school, the Bats coached by Gabriel Franqui, were impressive throughout the regular season, and was able to get the #4 seed in the Planetary Conference. However, #4 means you have a potential meeting with the #1 seed in the semifinals, and Suryapur has been very impressive as of late, and a 28-2 record shows that it would be one of the schools to beat in the entire NSCAA picture. Other schools such as Hondo, Prince Raoul Islands, and Northern-Parga State should be taken seriously as well.

In the bubble, must probably win the conference tournament
Pamantasan ng Silangang Hispinas - 5th in Calania Conference (18 wins and 12 losses)
Monthly performances: 2-2/5-3/9-3/12-4/15-5/17-7/18-10/18-12

Instituto de Azucena - 6th in Sky Blue Conference (18 wins and 12 losses)
Monthly performances: 3-1/5-3/9-3/11-5/14-6/17-7/17-11/18-12

The Mariners and the Wasps started their conference campaigns well, having 12-4 and 11-5 records respectively, however, both schools would struggle in the second half of their campaigns, finishing with a paltry 18-12 record, which puts both schools in the bubble, and unless they win their conference tournaments, it would be a very difficult to consider the two schools to the Big Dance given that there are also lots of Cassadagan, Kohnhead, TJUN-ian, Nascarian, and Kanyean schools in the bubble, and they might be given priority over the Hispinas schools.

If both Gutierre Escoto and Esteban Badilla had not allowed this to happen, it might have been smooth sailing for the supporters of the two schools. The Mariners will have a potential meeting with another Drawkian school, Cemmendy Tech in the semifinals, although they should be wary of #4 seed and former NSCAA champions, Grande Mountain if they want to win the Calania Conference. The same goes for Azucena as Elmanden District would be the #2 seed, although they might have a chance against Kohnface CIty.

Must win the conference tournament
Ipar-mendebaldeko Hispanako Unibertsitatea - 8th in Five Star Conference (14 wins and 16 losses)
Monthly performances: 1-3/3-5/5-7/7-9/8-12/10-14/13-15/14-16

Basko Unibertsitatea - 9th in Royal Conference (14 wins and 16 losses)
Monthly performances: 4-0/5-3/8-4/10-6/12-8/13-11/14-14/14-16

It is difficult to understand why both Basko schools struggled during the regular season of their respective conferences.

For the Mountaineers, they have struggled the entire season, unable to make it through .500 win percentage, after a 1-3 start in the Five Star Conference. Pauli Arzamendia's team has never looked like contenders in the Five Star Conference, and an 8th seed meant that they have to go through the almighty Sadeg State of Drawkland if they want to make it to the postseason tournament. That is if they pass through Auster of Vangaziland, the #9 seed, in the first round.

It was a different story for the Panthers. Starting conference life in the Royal Conference brought some promise as they started the season unbeaten, and was 10-6 by past halfway. However, Kepa Aguirrebeña and his team suddenly found wins on a premium as they only won 4 of the next 14 games to finish the worst school of the eight Hispino schools in 9th. Their reward for their mediocrity was a meeting with #8 Bakina Stijena, which they can comfortably beat, but beating #1 seed Turbani Tech would be a different story altogether.

I'd pretty say both Basko schools have a mountain to climb if they want their seasons to continue.

With the insights complete, we can say Hispinas can send 4 to 6 schools in the Ultra 64 Tournament. We wish them well in their respective conference tourneys.
