Commentary: So our team cannot win 2 in a row?
The form book reads like this: LWLLWLW. 3 wins and 4 losses. According to the form book, it measn that we very well may drop points tomorrow against Tumbra, a result which I certainly do not want to see. That would be a disasterous result ahead of the trip to Pasarga and Valladares, 2 matches which would clearly be must-wins for the team to produce any good result at all.
Our Yellow Lions have many bright spots, but are often fustrated when playing against teams which are defensive in nature, an issue which has cropped up again and again. U-Koro. Hampton Island. Now Bluecliff. It has been an issue the manager is unable to solve, even when his forte is to force his team to attack and attack. Just ask any Poafmer. If you say that "Oh we should score 1 goal and park the bus," you would probably be laughed at. Looking at the big teams in the Poafmersian Premier League, the most posession-oriented is probably Kistina Galaxy. And certainly not Zahi Castillias and his former team, Mancodas City. However, he has said that players in the Isles are more suited to playing "defensive counter-attack football". He knows that without a solid striker, the team cannot do it. Yet, in his opinion, this is the best way for him to play out the team's strengths. "The team has proven that 4-4-2 is not suitable for them. They have just too many defensive players. Maybe a 3-4-1-2. But do that and we will likely revert to a goal drought. Kistina Galaxy can play that formation if they want. But they have an elf in charge. And that elf can score as many as he wants on a good day. Kartal has the potential, Kelly has the potential. But they frequently fail to score, and that is worrying."
Just whatever he says. Do you believe it? For me, I feel it is a ridiculous excuse, but he is the expert, not us. Just when we thought all hopes were lost against South Newlandia, bringing on London at the right time saved the game and all 3 points against South Newlandia. However, his substitution magic didn't work against Bluecliff, where he played an ultra aggressive 4-3-3 formation, pushing the 2 wingers forward. I think it is not a managerial change. I think it is the way we play football in the Isles. But that will take ages to change, and for now, we just have to make do with it.
Anyways, can we finally win 2 in a row?
Note that the following article is a satirical take on factual things. You can probably guess from the title of the news outlet.

This World Cup Qualifiers has been ridiculous
These results are bullshit. They are so ridiculous, it was as though some joker spun them out of nothingness and pushed them onto us. Do you think these results are normal? I make sure you disagree with me by the end of today.
1) We have only 2 teams fighting to be World No. 1 in the rankings by the end of the qualifiers. Nephara vs Banija. A stupid fact to stomach in considering that the World Ranking formula, created by 2 random people from 2 random countries, are supposed to allow newer nations climb the rank pretty quickly. But honestly? The rank is so difficult to climb. Only 2 teams, namely last year's gold and silver medalists at the World Cup, can fight to be the top team of the world, through their respective qualification performances. And none of them can fall below 2nd place. How ridiculous is that? Very. If you look further down, the next 3 teams are guarenteed to be in the top 10. Farfadillis cannot even fall below 8th. Us? We are having problems climbing into top 100, and cannot get into top 50 barring a ridiculous result from all the teams above us.
2) 3 teams with a perfect record. 19 teams unbeaten in total. Yet we have over 20 teams that haven't got a win? That is such a huge disparity, bloody insane considering that there is so many teams around. Teams who say that they are good at the sport, presenting various game styles. Yet the top is trashing the bottom. Think about it again. Is this a rigged effort in favour of the top teams?
3) The team with the leakiest defence conceded 27 goals in 7 games. That is close to 4 per game, and yet they can't even score 1 per game. Absolutely ridiculous number of goals in these matches, as we can see. Can teams stopping trashing newbies and give them some hope?
