This is not a sign up for now, but the new name makes it sound very OOC and a lot less professional as a tournament.

OOC: It was just a joke. Kind of like the 'joke names' Max made up when he had to change the United Nation's name.

Signing up! Our country has re-emerged from a period of isolation and self-sufficiency, and we’re more than ready to participate in NS Sports once again. This will be the first worldwide tournament that the squad has participated in, having only participated in regional or interregional tournaments (open to our region and those we had embassies with).

Bid for Host

Postby Hebitaka » Fri Oct 09, 2020 11:37 pm

Host Bid

Hebitaki Football and Host Experience:

Football is still an infant in Hebitaka with only 22 domestic teams, 10 in League A and 12 in league B. This is going to be one of the First Major Tournament Hebitaka is bidding for Host Status. This country has rarely hosted any International event and this is going to be first international football tournament we are looking forward to host.

Format:

For 10 teams: 2 groups of 5 teams. Top 2 each (Total 4) qualify for the semi finals.
For 12 teams: 3 groups of 4 teams. Top 2 along with 2 best third positions(Total 8 ) qualify for quarter finals.
For 14 teams: 2 groups of 7 teams. Top 4 each (Total 8 ) qualify for the quarter finals.
For 16 teams: 4 groups of 4 teams. Top 2 each (Total 8 ) qualify for the quarter finals.
For 20 teams: 4 groups of 5 teams. Top 2 each qualify in quarter finals.

The League will follow normal points System(3 for win, 1 for draw and 0 for loss) with a double round robin.

Scorinator

Xkorinator will be used for keeping records of the tournament scores.

This is the first time we am bidding for host. For clearing any confusion on this bid, you may ask us any questions or suggest any changes. We will try our best.

Hey Hebitaka, great to see you put up a host bid, you'll do a great job. But I do have a few questions. Will you be using NSFS/additive, NSS/multiplicative, SQiS/additive or SQIS/multiplicative on xkoranate? Also even with the larger groups (groups of 7), will there still be a double round robin?
Thanks!

Glad You asked. We would use SQIS/additive for scorination. And yeah there will be double round robin even for groups of seven teams. But we might rethink if any participating team suggest changes.

No, no problems there. It's just that the IFC1 tournament which I hosted was ten matchdays was said to bit a bit too long for a minor tournament, but it could just be me. I'm perfectly fine with it. A similar thing goes for the groups of five, except with a larger pool of teams signed up I don't think it will be an issue. Just wanted confirmation there.

We have a few questions:

1) When will the signups end?
2) When will the host bids end?
3) Will the host create the [everything] thread?

Some questions may sound really silly, but still we need answers. We would be glad if you give us answers.
