There are two options for WBC 49 host voting!

#1 Accept Newmanistan's bid to host WBC 49.
#2 Reject Newmanistan's bid and Re-open bidding.

WBC Council members, listed here, can vote for one of these options. TG your votes to this account (Banija!) by 11:59 PM EDT on Thursday, July 9th, 2020.

The World Baseball Council has, in its wisdom, by an astounding 10-0 vote margin, has decided to unanimously award the the hosting rights of WBC to Newmanistan. Congratulations!

All power and responsibilities for this tournament are now transferred to him. Signups are also updated to this point.

With 48 signups, and the thread being up for two weeks, this is a logical time to close signups.
Thanks to everyone who has signed up. Now, we are about to move forward in the competition with eight groups of six. We'll be playing ball soon, be on the lookout for the everything thread.
