Hello all, welcome to the second edition of the All India Football Cup!

All the nations of India are coming together to RP and have fun, let’s see how that is done, shall we?

Rosters
You want to start out with a roster. A roster will show everyone else who plays on you’re team, what position they play, and a little extra in for if you want.
You can do a Basic roster, where you show where each player plays and who the players are.
You can do a Extended roster, where you describe a bit about the team and each player.
Or, you can go into Great Detail and describe each player very well.

Style Mods
Next, all teams need a Style Modifier. A style modifier describes how your team plays, these numbers are between -5-+5. A -5.00 team is ultra-defensive, a 0.00 team is balanced, and a +5.00 team is hyper-aggressive.

Roleplay Bonus
Each team will receive an Roleplay Bonus. You earn this bonus when you roleplay. A RP bonus is a bonus added on to the teams rank, the hosts grade the Roleplays on a scale and apply them to the rank. Roleplays are graded based on Creativity and effort put in, NOT HOW MANY WORDS THE ROLEPLAY HAS.

Roleplay Challenges
You can write about anything in you’re roleplays, however, after each match day there will be an RP challenge. You can use this challenge as an idea to write about if you are stuck and don’t know what you want to write about.

NS stats are not accurate.

The Republic of the Popular Councils of Neo Kerala is a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist state. Founded in 1948 after our NatDem Revolution, we took the side of the PRC and Marxism-Leninism (Mao Zedong Thought) during the Sino-Soviet split. After the Hua-Deng coup, we joined the RIM, and followed the shining path of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. We struggled against old and modern revisionism and uphold the Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, mainly Maoism, also held by our Comrades in Peru, Turkey and Brazil, and support the PPWs in India and the Philippines. Long Live People's War! People's War until Communism!

Rp
Indusse 3-0 Oogaoogaoogachaka
The Oogaoogaoogachakan national team turned out with a full strength squad today for their maiden match in the India Cup against the formidable and established Indusse side. The Indusse side were, by far the favourites and they went all out to keep that name, winning by a comfortable margin of three goals. The oogaoogaoogachakans maintained form and played to their best but on this day, they were outplayed by the better team. An interesting thing to note, however, is the clean and fair approach to the game by the Oogas, who didn't pick up a single yellow or red, a display of sportsmanship which pleased many fans, despite the result. John Oogsmith commented,"We may have lost today, but out team won our hearts with their performance today, they showed us what sportsmanship is like". Manager Vitorio said that despite the loss, the team morale was unaffected, and they were now to focus on the next game. The young wizards of the team were also given a run out in the park today in second half roles. Out of the starters, CDM Santamaria had a particularly energetic display up and down the field. The team, of course, is on its maiden voyage in any international competition, having been formed from the players in the first division of the Extensive 4-tiered OogaLeague System, known for its exciting football at all levels. Certain players were also picked based on their brilliant performances abroad. The team selection was done on the basis of performances in the league as well as in friendlies with allied nations. Ooga Bhatta, the Supreme Leader of Oogaoogaoogachaka, was not to be disheartened, saying that he was pleased by his team's spirit, and despite the deafening loss, he was sure they would work harder and pull up.

Gilgit and Baltistan are not known for football. The country is more known for its beautiful landscape and tall mountains. In terms of sports, cricket is by far the most popular sport in the country. Football is played in the country but it doesn't excite the masses like cricket. In fact, even polo excite the masses more than football.

The Gilgit and Baltistan Football League (GBFL) is competed by 8 teams. There is no home and away matches. Each team plays 7 matches in a space of a month. It is dominated by the club from the two biggest cities in Gilgit and Baltistan, Gilgit FC and Skardu FC. It's probably because the two clubs have the home ground advantage throughout the season due to the league being played in just 2 stadiums, Gilgit Cricket Stadium and Skardu Cricket Stadium. Yes, football in Gilgit and Baltistan is played in a cricket stadium. There is no football stadium in the country.

With the dominance of Gilgit FC and Skardu FC, it's no surprise that the national team consists of 16 players from the 2 clubs. Another 7 players were called up from Silbu FC and Chilas FC to complete the 23-man squad for the All-India Cup. None of these players is professionals. And none of them should quit their day job.

Gilgit and Baltistan travel to Orissa Islands to compete with 15 other nations to be crowned as the best national football team in India. The team is drawn in Group 3 alongside Jhalpharezi, Indus Valley Civilization and South Kerala.

The first opponent for Gilgit and Baltistan is Indus Valley Civilization, a country that has been a long-term ally to The Highlanders. After all, the river that runs across Indus Valley Civilization has its origin in the mountains in Gilgit and Baltistan.

Gilgit and Baltistan head coach, Farshad Khara lined his team in a 4-3-3 formation with 3 central midfielders and 3 strikers. The match was closely fought. However, an own goal from Firuz Parsha ensured that Indus Valley Civilization triumphant in the opening match.

Despite the defeat, Farshad Khara is happy with the team. "There is room for improvements but overall, we did well," said the coach after the match. The head coach is confident that his team will improve in the next match. "The team can connect 2-3 passes now, in the next match, we will connect 4 passes," he added.

Gilgit and Baltistan have 2 more matches in the group stage, against South Kerala and Jhalpharezi.

The Kumbhalgarh locker room was a desolate sight after the 0-5 slap in the previous game. Despite the intensive preparations, Kumbhalgarh's first international encounter was nothing short of tragic. Despite having a talented roster, the team was outclassed on nearly every front. The team is picked through performance in the domestic league: KCL or Kumbhalgarh Champions League. 16 Teams battle it out, and the spotlight is terrific. 16 teams from various cities in Kumbhalgarh, backed by a high profile sponsor, playing in flashy stadiums. Yet, the investment in developing players at a grassroot level is minimal. Teams prefer to bring in established talents rather than grow new talents, Kumbhalgarh as a result has very few home grown players of international callibre. However, the team put together for AIFC is nothing short of a hardworking talented roster. The talent has been developing as a result of grown viewership and monetary investment in the KCL. Yet, the lack of interest in international matchups means that Kumbhalhgarh has very little experience which contributed to the 0-5 slap in the first game. Yet, the players are determined to fight on and prove that Kumbhalgarh has what it takes.

After the 0-5 slap, the Kumbhalgarh roster was seen reviewing game film and reviewing the strategy for the next game. Coach took them to the practicing ground, where they ran through drills, learned to trust each other, and solidified a few defensive and offensive strategies for the next game. Veer was seen individually motivating his teammates, telling them to trust their game instead of being nervous and stiff under the international limelight. Emphasis was placed by the coach on defensive collaboration and spacing on the offensive end. The team ended off the practice session with a fun run of penalty kicks.

Whistles and cheers broke out in the locker room as Veer walked in after the 1-0 victory in day 2 of the matchups. After a resounding defeat in the first match, this win was immense in terms of morale for the team. JP came over and patted Veer's shoulders, with a broad grin on his face, "Nice goal man, you really came through on that one" Veer smiled and put his shoes away, as he zipped up his tracksuit, put on his headphones, and went onto the team bus. Veer and JP were best friends. They played for the same club as kids and were initially signed to the same team: Chittorgarh Chariots FC before JP left to the Liga Prime in Indusse on a 3 year deal. JP and Veer were like the two sides of the same coin. Both grew up in a rural impoverished region, with a dream of making their homeland proud and improving their family's situation. They had nothing going for them but sheer willpower and hard work, you could find them both practicing keep up's and kicks all day long. Their lives changed when they joined a new football academy and played for the same club. Tryouts were held for the region in a small field 6 hours away from where they lived, and they both commuted the entire way on their bicycle. Veer was always reserved and quiet, emotionally very reserved, and kept his problems to himself. Kunwar was flamboyant, cheerful, and did silly pranks to cover for the insecurity he felt about whether he would be successful or not. Both were completely different, but what connected them was their background, their situation, their dreams, and their mutual feeling that the only people who understood them were each other. As they both rose in their careers, their friendship grew, until they both knew they had made it. Now their combined goal is to win this cup and to bring pride to their homeland.

Team meeting after Day 2 of the Matchups

Coach has decided to shift to a 4-3-3 formation to augment the offensive capacities, allowing for an increased offense. Three strikers will form a potent front line with the centre forward stretching the opponents' defensive line. The playing nature has been shifted to a +2, still keeping back a traditional 4 defense, but increasing the pace of play to utilize Veer's fast and quick movement. The motive is to pass and move, never staying still or stationary with the ball. The idea is to keep constantly moving the ball into empty defense zones and pound the defensive line with passes and constant offensive pressure. Emphasis will also be placed on passing and moving by utilizing the wing space.

The head coach Gurvan Suryavanshi said in an earlier news conference, "Kumbhalgarh will come out of this victory more aggressive and motivated than ever. this is our chance to prove the strength and fortitude of our homeland, and we will leave everything we have on the field. Our next opponent should be prepared for an unstoppable and relentless offensive barrage!"

Kumbhalgarh's team was also seen practicing this offensive tactic, which the coach said they have "utilized many times in scrimmage". Coach said, "Its really a go-to offense for us, the players know what they're doing and we have the speed and talent to pull this off for sure" Veer and Jp were seen wearing big smiles as they practiced passing and moving with the ball, and a scrimmage was ran at the end.

The Kumbhalgarh locker room was nothing short of positivity and cheers after the qualifying victory against Rajpore. Veer scored one goal, and Humayun added another one in what turned out to be a spectacular string of comebacks from the 0-5 defeat against AR of India. The chemistry between the team was seen on full display, when the defense synchronized its passes to fill in the wings, allowing for smarter passes into the defensive line, and constant offensive pressure. Coach was pleased with this performance, and the team went out for a dinner that night to celebrate and get locked in for their game against Neo Kerala.

Team Dinner

The game was a spectacular home win at Rajwada Stadium in Kumbhalgarh, so the team decided to head to the city's best Indian/International fusion restaurant: the Duniya Darbar in the heart of Chittorgarh. Rows of people were lined up for autographs, and pictures were taken as the team unloaded from the team bus and went into the restaurant, the atmosphere was truly exhilarating. The team sat around their table, excitedly chatting and looking at the menu. Some players laughed and playfully hit each other as the waitress arrived. Many ordered dishes such as: Chicken Tikka Taco, Paneer Butter Ravioli, Tandoori Fish N Chips, and the classic butter Naan. The food had an amazing aroma as the team celebrated a brilliant victory to cementer their intentions in the cup. The dinner finished, and Veer and some of the other guys decided to head to a local bar to chill out for the night. They decide to use public transit. Kumbhalgarh has 3 main forms of public transit.

One is the high-speed bullet railways that carry passengers and cargo to various locations in Kumbhalgarh via 534 different routes into every corner of the country. The clients must purchase a 80 swarnmudra card every 6 months for unlimited travel on the bullet train. 160 swarnmudra for unlimited access to 534 different routes, and 1600 different stations across Kumbhalgarh. All with high-speed bullet technology.

The other method of transit is the Aerobus, a bus that travels on the levitating tracks over the city's bustling traffic. The tracks are suspended to the roads and the Aerobus is able to maneuver at fast speeds without being caught in traffic. Every major city in Kumbhalgarh has these, and the cost is 123 swarnmudra per year for unlimited access to routes in the cities inside of the state of residence/purchase. So an Aerobus card in Chittorgarh of the Mewar State wouldn't work in Jodhpur of the Marwar state, but would work in Udaipur of the Mewar State. The inside of an Aerobus is large and air-conditioned with many entertainments and amenities. Each city has a well equipped and utilized fleet of Aerobus.

The third method is the Boatways. Simply put, modern and sleek boats that carry passengers on important waterways across Kumbhalgharh. Vital for cities near waterways, and vital for Cargo as well. The cost varies across each state and city. Most users prefer to pay per journey, as it is not as widely used. However, it is an important transportation belt for Cargo, which is stored in the bottm part of the Boatway Boat.

The final Matchday results weren't what the team expected. They thought that they could win the match easily with a big margin. But, SAHEB really impressed the coach of Indusse. They played a game of Parking the Bus. Where indussean Tiki-Taka didn't work. The match which ended in the score 2-2 was the last Matchday of the cup. The first goal was scored by Saheb (13') and Indussean Player Budjedtson scored a goal at 35'. Then after the first half, Baskar The Captain scored a wonderful goal at 76' minute. Everyone thought that Indusse would win but, suddenly Saheb's scored a goal at the extra time (90+1') destroying the Hattrick win streak. Still, Moteudi is happy that they topped the group and qualified for Quarterfinals. The Opponent's are strong; Gilgit-Baltistan. Yet, indusse will win the match. But a news shook the camp. Former captain Beckem was injured in an accident where he fell from the Bus while travelling. It must be the fault of the Driver. But, the indussean transport system is one of the best in India.

After a defeat in the opening match, Gilgit and Baltistan went on to get a win and a draw in their two following matches against South Kerala and Jhalpharezi respectively. The 4 points gathered by The Highlanders were enough to place them second in Group D and secured a spot in the knockout stages with 7 other nations.

Their opponent in the quarter-final is Indusse who topped Group D. Indusse is one of the few nations in India who take football seriously. They have participated in several World Cup cycle, something that is not done by the other nations in India. On paper, Indusse is the clear favourite over Gilgit and Baltistan.

Gilgit and Baltistan are not even expected to make it to the knockout stage. Being in the quarter-final of The All India Cup is something that these full-time farmers, ranchers and mountain guides never dream of. The FA even have a second thought of participating in the All India Cup due to lack of sponsorship before the tournament began.

While Gilgit and Baltistan had trouble looking for sponsorship to the point where the FA had to buy their own jersey, their opponent in the quarter-final will be wearing a bright and shiny kit from the world-renowned Ediraf. Such is the difference between the status of the two teams. It's going to be another David versus Goliath battle with a spot in the semi-final at stake.
