After the win of the World Cup for the first time a national Championship was held in Kriegiersien. The World Champions were bought for the Presidents own team and won the first championship hosted in Schoenwetter, after 7 other teams had reached the final through regional qualifiers.

Professional Sepak Takraw Huge Success
Premier Sepak Takraw League Draws Large Crowds

SETANGI - The Premier Sepak Takraw League's inaugural season has come to its conclusion, with the new league being hailed as a huge success. The ten team professional league which has replaced the previous 16 team amateur National Championship has been hugely popular with fans, drawing large crowds in urban areas where sepak takraw has not traditionally been popular.

Commissioner of the Sepak Takraw Association of Tanah Jaya (PSTJ, Persatuan Sepaktakraw Tanah Jaya), Dato Ahmad Abdul Shah, was present in Baun for Saturday's match between the PSTL's two most successful teams: the Central Storm and Northeast Quicksands. Although the home team, Quicksands, were successful in defeating the Storm, it was the Storm who emerged as the inaugural PSTL champions. Both teams will represent Tanah Jaya in next year's Liga Super Sepak Takraw.

"We've made the transition from amateur to professional sepak takraw very successfully," commented Dato Shah. "Our beloved sport now has a firm foundation upon which to build as we move forwards into the future."

14 clubs from 7 associations are entering this edition. 7 of them are returning clubs while the other 7 are new clubs. The clubs are divided into 2 Groups of 7 in the Group Stage. Central Storm Win Second PSTL Title

BATU BADAK - The second season of the Premier Sepak Takraw League has ended once again with the Central Storm franchise claiming the title. In the closing match of the 2023 season, the Storm defeated the South Sharks 21-15, 21-17 before lifting the PSTL trophy in front of their home crowd. Storm captain Mamat bin Danang received raucous applause as he showed off the franchises' second trophy to the home fans.

Joining the Storm in competing in the Liga Super Sepak Takraw international competition will be Northeast Quicksands, who finished second in the PSTL once again. The Quicksands were the more successful team in the most recent edition of the Liga Super ST, reaching the playoff round before losing all five of their matches and missing out on the Liga Super ST Final.

Speaking of the final, the National Indoor Arena in Setangi was filled to the rafters by 12,000 fans; who, despite the absence of any domestic teams in the match, still turned out in droves to see the Calamari County Strikers of Squidroidia dominate the Pemecutan squad Mengwi East Side, 21-12, 21-16. Despite the successful holding of the Liga Super ST in Setangi, the city is not expected to bid to host the next edition of the competition, with organizers preparing a bid for the season following next.

Tabeira Break Vaanchai Dominance
Acastanha has finished their 4th season of National Sepaktakraw League and a surprise happened. Three times winners, Vaanchai Borderline have to lose their winning strike after they are only finished fifth this season. A not so good season also happen to Bandar Ketam Iron Claws after they are again could only finished second. This is their third consecutive second spot finisher. While a surprise happen to Tabeira Tiger Cub. Being steadily from the start, Tabeira winning strike continue until the 9th match day. It was Vaanchai Borderline who break their winning strike in the 10th match day but it still make them hold on the top spot. Tabeira never lose the first spot from the third match day until the end of the season.

The race is on the second spot. Vaanchai Borderline keep in the second spot from the 3rd match day until the 10th when Praia de Sal Saltwater taking over the spot for only 1 match day. Vaanchai gets back to the second position in 12th match day but only to losing it to Bandar Ketam in the 17th match day. Bandar Ketam retain in that position until the end of the season. With the result, Tabeira Tiger Cub and Bandar Ketam Iron Claws will be the teams that represent Acastanha in the 4th Liga Super Sepak Takraw. It is the second time for Tabeira and the third time for Bandar Ketam. Bandar Ketam have been in a great shape in the previous LSST after their second place in the 2nd LSST and also reaching Play-Off stage in the 3rd edition.

From all the teams that reached the last finals, only title defender Timesteam achieved a spot in the new established Kriegiersien Sepak Takraw Football League. They dominated the competition again. SC Scorpion City lost their final match against the old and new champions and by that lost the second place to the Zombie Takraws, who could beat the bottom club from Skyhold to qualify for the LSST.

Sepak Takraw domestic league is coming for its 7th season in the year of 1781. A few changes happen with the addition of 2 clubs from Soracana Islands, Nilayam Aquamarine and Calugida Giants. Both will be playing from Tebenan Division. With the change, 17 clubs will be playing in each division. For Uluan Division, 3 promoted clubs are Sesetan Cavemen, Padangsambian Greenleaf and Kapal Argonauts. They are replacing Satria Goldenhorn, Sumerta Copperhead, and Gelogor Marines who was being relegated in the previous season.

The beginning of the season show the changing in the top position as each clubs gained points. Several clubs have reached the top spot such as Gerenceng Mountains, Royal Pemecutan, Kerobokan Westwind, Kapal Argonauts and Pemogan Black Gold. It is Pemogan Black Gold who retain in the top spot for 6 match days from the 9th MD until the 14th before being taken over by Kerobokan Westwind. Pemogan back to the top spot in MD 19th after Kerobokan lead for 4 MDs. Kerobokan again comeback to the top in MD 23rd which they hold until MD 26th. It is Titih Lumberjack that took the lead. They manage to stay on top until the last MD. The struggle happens in second place between Kerobokan and Pemogan. After they are interchangeably took second place, Kerobokan finally hold the position from 30th MD until the last MD. With the result, Titih Lumberjack is taking their third trophy overall and second consecutive trophy.

While promoted clubs are successfully holds their position in Uluan Division. Kapal Argonauts become the most successful one after finished in 5th place. They even have had reached top spot for 2 MDs at the beginning of the season. Sesetan Cavemen become the second successful club. They are finished 7th. While Padangsambian Greenleaf is almost being relegated. Fortunately, they are finished in 14th place just one place higher than the relegation line. And 3 clubs that being relegated this season are Canggu Islander, Tulangampiang Volcano and Mengwitani Shipment.

The STSDC has returned after a short hiatus. Unrest in the islands, and a small pandemic caused a hold up in the Dao Chongese Sepak Takraw domestic leagues. The league was officially suspended until now. Determination to keep the leagues alive has resulted in the continuation of the 27th season after the 1 year hiatus.

This edition of the LSST is held in Karanganyar Stadium, Pemecutan Puri, Pemecutan

16 clubs from 8 associations are entering this edition of Liga Super Sepak Takraw. 10 of them are returnee clubs and the other 6 are new entries. We have new member who enter for the first time this edition, Lathamford. The 16 clubs are divided into 4 pots based on their rank. This edition will also introduce the Knockout Stage which will replace Play-Off Round. Calamari County Strikers from Squidroidia is the titleholder who unfortunately doesn't enter this edition.

For host bid, any venue with a capacity of minimum 2,500 seats is eligible.
In case of there is no host bid, the organizer will select one venue in the headquarter country, Pemecutan to host the competition.

MST National League - Season 1

The inaugural season of a national Sepak Takraw league has now been completed. The sport is very much a fringe pursuit in Melbergia, however growing in popularity, in large part thanks to featuring prominently in a popular recent TV drama series. There is room for the league to expand in future, however intially it began with six teams, playing each other twice across the league season.

As expected, the league had a very competitive first season, with all teams capable of beating their opposition on their day - with the exception of Royal Durgenstrom who really struggled, all other teams can take pride in their first season and see room for improvement next time around.

Cleeta Kingfishers were perhaps the 'surprise package' of the season, representing a small town in the west of the country, and starting the season very strongly, topping the table at the midpoint of the season. Unfortunately they could not maintain this standard and ended up finishing a creditable third.

Ultimately the championship came down to the final day, with both Brunta Harriers and Portvestir Union tied up at the top of the table on 21 points each, with their final fixture of the season being against each other. Ultimately, the home team Brunta Harriers made short work of Union, beating them 21-8, 21-10 to become the first ever Melbergian National Champions.

After a disappointing loss in the quarter finals of the second World Cup, the National team players at least won the national Championship. Their goal now is to win the LSST. The SC Scorpion City got the second place only thanks to a head to head win against Sepak Muhr.
