2034 MFL Draft Class Scouting Report
There are 2 rounds to the draft with a total of 40 players being drafted. Teams are able to trade draft picks or players. Foreigners are able to declare for the draft and will be given a Maccian Visa. Oh, and for all the foreigners wondering, when a person reaches 16, they are considered an adult here. This is a new law that the Supreme Leader himself made.
Please note: Some of these players will not be immediately available for their new team as they may have international duty. A list of players ineligible to play right away will be provided.ST Amiensha Kiyle, 16Amiensha Kiyle has been a deadly force in the Maccian national team, scoring 16 goals in the World Cup 85 Qualifiers. Kiyle will almost certainly be the 2nd pick, possibly even the first if the Castrealm Royals draft her over Jake Sexter. It is safe to say that she will be the beacon for the Maccian national team for a long time.
Pros:
A nimble and clinical finisher
Able to dribble at defenders with speed
Can be the creative spark that is needed
Is incredibly consistent with her performances
Cons:
Lack of strength and can be bodied by defenders
Her headers need improving as they go all over the place
ST Jake Sexter, 16After scoring a hat-trick to lead his secondary school to a state championship, Jake Sexter is one of the most promising players in this draft. he is projected to be the number 1 pick, which goes to show how talented the kid is if he’s beating out current national team players in this draft. He is similar to Amiensha Kiyle in many ways, and who knows, if he is able to translate his skills to the MFL, he may be teaming up with her.
Pros:
He has shown the ability to be an elite playmaker at times
Quite tall for his age at 6’3”, and well built, the kicker is he still has room to grow taller.
Despite his size, he is surprisingly agile
He is a goal poacher, lurks in the box and then strikes
Cons:
Being 6’3”, you’d expect him to be able to excel at heading the ball, but is he isn’t very good at it
Large player for his size, he could end up growing to be too tall and losing most of his mobility
He may underachieve given the amount of pressure currently on his shoulders through being hyped up, hopefully he can fulfill or even exceed those expectations
GK Roma SenozenRoma Senozen is the Riflemen’s number 1 and has come up with numerous impressive saves which rescued Maccian from jaws of defeat many times during the World Cup 85 Qualifiers. He is one of only 3 goalkeepers in this draft class and can offer a lot for a team from the get-go.
Pros:
Good size for a goalkeeper and could grow even taller
Has abnormally long arms which is very useful when dive at full stretch is needed
Cons:
Can be beaten rather easily from the near post
Nutmegged far too often by strikers
Poor and unreliable with the ball at his feet
CB Resaiix Stzaszner, 17Resaiix Stzasner has been underperforming in the World Cup Qualifiers but hopefully, he will return to his regular form. Stzasner could end up playing as a wingback for his new team as he is not really suited for the intense physical standards of a centre-half
Pros:
A good ball-playing centre-back could play wingback if he refined his crossing
Has some pace on him so attackers can’t just bolt past him as most of the time he’ll catch up
Cons:
His heading is very poor and has cost Maccian games in the past, must improve
Not as strong as most centre-backs, would really be better suited playing as a full-back
Isn’t very defensively aware, loses track of his man easily
RB Vorspiell Zoren,16Vorspiell Zoren has been a poor defender for the Maccian national team and has had way too many chances to get in form, but he squandered them all. Teams may be wary of drafting such a defensive liability.
Pros:
Offensively sound with decent crossing and dribbling
Rarely commits any fouls on opponents
Speedy for a full-back
Cons:
Often switches off on defence which allows opposition players to exploit this weakness
More suited at being a winger than full-back
He pushes forward far too much, leaves the team vulnerable to counter attacks
CM Nines Rükommpt, 16If only Nines Rükommpt grew 5-6 inches, then he'd be a top-notch centre-back. Sadly he wasn't blessed with the necessary genetics but what can you do? Rükommpt is more suited at playing at either a defensive midfielder or a centre-back if there are no other options.
Pros:
Good at winning the ball back and interceptions
Able to lob the ball all across the pitch
Very resilient, will do anything for his team
Cons:
Quite slow gets blown by faster players
Stamina
Lacks height and strength that would make him an even better player
CM Eztelle Zeyla, 16Eztelle Zeyla is a starter for the Maccian national team and has shown that she can be relied on even in the toughest of circumstances. Zeyla is able to do it all, whether it is shooting, defending, passing or dribbling. Fans have started to call her “The Swiss Knife” because of her being a positionless player. Any team will be lucky to have such a versatile player.
Pros:
Good at stringing together passes
Good ball-winning and interception skills
Master at dead-ball situations, if she takes a free-kick it will either go in or the keeper will have to make a legendary save
Able to shoot from distance around the pitch with thundering shots
Quick and nimble, able to easily manoeuvre her way through players
Cons:
A gust of wind could knock her down, any team willing to draft her will probably dedicate numerous resources to beef her up.
CM Kiylen Drowska, 16Kiylen Drowska starts for the Maccian national team’s midfield alongside Eztelle Zeyla and. She is the more creative midfielder out of the trio but has been underperforming in Maccian games, racking up 1 goal and 2 assists in 18 matches. She clearly lacks the end product that the national team is looking for, which may make teams wary to draft her.
Pros:
Can thread the ball between defenders to a teammate, good short passing skills
Able to ping the ball to opposite sides of the pitch with pinpoint accuracy
She is able to curl the ball just beyond the goalkeeper’s reach and it’s spectacular to watch her bend the ball like it’s a hula-hoop.
Cons:
Quite a slow player, defenders can easily catch up to her running at her full speed
Very poor stamina, she has to be taken off at the 60-minute mark because after that she is completely useless
Her form is very inconsistent, one night she’s playing well and the next night, she is nowhere to be seen.
RW Espede Luftboltzen, 17If Luftboltzen is running at you on the counter-attack, give up. She is literally a speed demon, not so sure why she's playing football instead of running the 200m race in the Olympics
Pros:
Hands down the fastest player in Maccian, once she starts running there's no stopping
She terrorises defenders with her stepovers and roulettes
Could play striker because of her superb finishing
Cons:
Selfish, will probably not pass the ball to open teammates
Quite one dimensional as a player and is only focused on running with the ball and scoring.
LW Angelina Aurellix, 17Aurellix came in for the injured Légionne Roi in the Baptism of Fire and impressed the then manager Kidomasdipuetz Jack T. Anjill (who has thankfully been executed for his crimes against the Motherland). She plays like there is no tomorrow and gives it her all every game, it seems as though she has something to prove to the world.
Pros:
Gives 110% every game she plays without fail
Very quick and nimble, it's challenging for a defender to stay on her.
Scores wonder goals with her left foot almost effortlessly
Cons:
A little injury prone, she has a reoccurring problem with her right knee
Easily out strengthed by almost every player on the pitch
Tends to rush a shot when one-on-one with the keeper
GK Rodrup Yimello, 16Yimello is the most consistent player in this draft class. He's not flashy and just comes in to get the job done without causing any problems or controversies. Boring yet efficient.
Pros:
Makes good saves pretty much all the time, rarely fumbles the ball.
Always calm and collected, won't be making any rash saves which could lead to him being booked or sent off
Cons:
Weak on the near post, not quick enough to react
LB Iso Kutatzi, 17Why, oh, why is Kutatzi still in defence? Angelo Gelinas probably sent the exact squad to the Cup of Harmony just for convenience. He simply isn't any good in defence, he should find a team and hone his skills further before having another shot at the national team.
Pros:
Very athletic player
Quite strong
Decent dribbling
Cons:
Someone needs to get this guy a defensive coach because he looks like he has no clue what's going on.
Subpar crossing, he will be dropped by the national team in favour of a left-back who actually fits the system.
CB Swisse Kadune, 16Yet another player who is being played out of position. Swisse Kadune IS NOT a centre-back. He is not a ball-playing centre-back. He is, however, a central-midfielder. When will someone get it right?
Pros:
Excellent long and short passing, it's almost as if he belongs in the midfield...
Good dribbling for a midfielder-I mean centre-back
Decent ball-winning skills
Cons:
Clearly being a defender is an unnatural position for him
Too rash when tackling, often gives away fouls
CM Liga Koiu, 17Liga Koiu is a very humble and down to earth player. She never lies, or dives, or complain to officials. She's a box to box player, able to play anywhere on the pitch albeit not for a long time.
Pros:
Elite at shots outside the box
Decent at set-pieces
Good ball-winning skills
Cons:
She needs some physical conditioning ASAP, by halftime she is absolutely exhausted
Not very athletic
It's a wonder how she is so good at long-range shooting, she has to wear sports goggles because she's practically blind without them
LW Jeiles Kriessmann, 16Kriessmann has to play with Kizerain. Has to. Why? She does much better for the Riflemen when she plays alongside him. Her stats prove it as well; in all 10 games she has played in these qualifiers, 4 of her 5 goals and 3 of her 4 assists have come when she has played alongside Kizerain. The two are inseparable, so any team that drafts Kriessmann will also try to draft Kizerain as well and vice-versa to get the most out of them.
Pros:
Her signature cut inside and a shot off her right foot will probably be forever remembered as an iconic and effective move in Maccian
Quite good at finishing, could easily step in as a striker if needed
Toys around with defenders with her elite dribbling
Cons:
Has to have Kizerain playing alongside with her to get the best out of the pair
Has a tendency to overhit crosses, needs to improve on that
Any fight that Kizerain gets into, she gets into.
ST Eries Kizerain, 17The son of the traitorous former leader Petchre Mackay, Kizerain was supposed to be killed off along with the rest of his half-siblings and his mother. But our merciful Supreme Leader allowed him to live, under the condition that he would put in the maximum effort into the team. At any time he could be the one that is called up to the gallows so any team that picks up Kizerain will expect a hard-working prospect and will hope he isn’t executed for slacking off.
Pros:
Able to finish in one-on-one situations with the keeper and remain composed while doing so.
His exemplary work ethic could lead to him becoming legendary if he keeps it up
He can confuse defenders with his arsenal of tricks and skills to beat them
Cons:
If the Supreme Leader believes that Kizerain is becoming complacent any team that drafts him could permanently lose out on a major talent, which may make teams reluctant to draft him
Long shots and volleys aren’t his forte, a somewhat limited striker
Extremely hotheaded, will more than likely pick up a few red cards in his rookie season
Will fight if provoked. Would be perfect with Sir Walter X who will be starting these fights for him.
Has to have Jeiles Kriessmann playing with him in order to get the best performances out of him
CM Missi Sorrentingerclausen, 17She played in the Baptism of Fire 72 and was the captain of the Riflemen, yet her presence on the field was rarely feared. Soon after the Round of 32 exit to Konhead, she opted out of the team and enjoyed her newfound freedom. Like many players who decided to drop out of the squad, Sorrentingerclausen decided to declare for the draft. She can inspire players many years her senior so this is a quality many teams will be looking at.
Pros:
She is a set-piece specialist which will be appreciated on any team
Excellent leadership skills and can inspire practically anyone
Decent at putting together through balls and distributing the ball across the pitch
Cons:
Can disappear in some matches
Not the best at winning the ball, more of a playmaker than an all-around central midfielder
CM Mikkleargen Jamressl, 17Jamressl is the type of player whose position is unclear. He could be a defender, midfielder and attacker all in one, but in each position, he has more negatives than positives. Hopefully, he can shake off the hate he received during the Baptism of Fire and finally prove his worth in the MFL through improving his faults
Pros:
Not bad at dribbling, has been known to go on runs
Able to win the ball back if he doesn’t foul the player
Okay short passing
Cons:
Disgusting shot selection, he should steer clear of shooting in general unless it’s a header or a tap-in
LImited passing range
Makes really stupid and reckless tackles
Gives the impression of a headless chicken on both defence and the counter-attack
LW Vilann Librastearpen, 17
Why did he leave the national team? He just didn't care enough and lost motivation to improve as a player. Librastearpen could have helped the national team greatly but instead, he chose the partying lifestyle. Now that he has come back to his senses, he'll be looking to improve himself as a player especially after his long hiatus from physical activity...
Pros:
Can still cross the ball quite well
Positionless offensive player. Teams would love to have such a versatile player
Cons:
He is a bit rusty even though there are glimpses of the player he was
Poor physical condition, it looks lie he has a beer belly
Can't run fast nor for a long time, real liability on offence Vilann Librastearpen has dropped out of the draft class. CB Regent Aryoirs, 16Regent Aryoirs is likely declaring for the draft just to build up more followers on the Maccian state-run social media site LinkUp TV (don't know why the Supreme Leader chose that name, but who are we to question his decisions?) and is
extremely obnoxious on that site. I won't blame teams for not wanting such a twat on their team, excuse my language.
Pros:
Brings a massive social media following with him, any team he goes to will probably have 3 million new fans buying his jersey, huge revenue stream.
Defensively aware at all times, always switched on.
Cons:
Remember what I said about his unlikeable character? If I was a manager, this guy isn't touching my squad. He'd turn the dressing room into an all-out wrestling match.
Dives and flops like a little girl with the slightest touch
Argues with everybody, could lead to a few fights if you mix in fighters and players who escalate any small situation.
LB Lelepons Fluer, 16Lelepons Fluer is either loved or hated depending on who you ask. She is in form one day, then terrible the next. She has no problems one day, the next day she's two footing everyone wearing the opposition's jersey. She's constantly changing every day, a very weird player indeed...
Pros:
Aggressive, won't back down from opponents bigger than her
Good at ball-winning and interceptions
Dribbling is on point, it's a shame she can cross the ball very well
Decent short and long-range passing
Cons:
Frustrating as a player- so inconsistent with everything.
Not very good at crossing the ball
CB Trouz Vizalietd, 17Trouz Vizalietd is a player you would want on your team. Passionate and hardcore, which resembles Maccians as a whole. He is a classical no-nonsense defender which is a quality a lot of teams would be looking at when considering drafting him
Pros:
Will not hesitate to put a foot in or slide tackle a 5'1" player like they have just spat on his grandmother's grave
When the ball arrives at his feet, get ready to duck because that ball is going into the stands
Bullies anyone who dares challenge him
Intimidating player
Cons:
Is way too aggressive, don't be surprised if he racks up bookings every single game
Often fouls players if he is on the wrong side of the ball, leads to dangerous free-kicks or penalties
Extremely unreliable when it comes to passing
CB Nícoloboiur Tilvovene, 17Tilvovene was average in defence at the Baptism of Fire. Not much more can be said about him as a player but hopefully, he can come into a team and prove his worth.
Pros:
Rarely gets booked
Average at everything and could be a good roleplayer for a team
Cons:
Practically never in form
Doesn't excel at anything including heading or defending
RW Jane Air, 22She is one of the Supreme Leader’s mistresses, so she will be held in the highest regards. It is honourable to grace the opportunity to be in such close and physical contact with one of the most attractive men in Maccian’s history. No one will make comments that do not flatter her, only do this if you want to be left hanging from a tree in Lein Square in New Aredia...
Pros:
Any opponent who fouls her is instantly sent off (basically corruption, my thoughts will be censored here but it had to be said) as they rightfully should for such a heinous act. Very advantageous for any team looking to pick her up.
Used to participate in the high jump in the MNAC- Maccian Nationwide Athletics Championships- and can rise above even the tallest defenders to engage in an aerial duel which she will win 9 times out of 10
She’s a crafty player, will do anything to win the game
Cons:
One of the more slower wingers in the draft class, but is mainly due to the wingers in this draft class being way too damn fast
Occasionally gets booked because she bends the rules to the absolute limit.
LB Benedict Dover-Gay, 23 AKA “BDG”The most unfortunate name in history. Children, being as cruel as they are, will have certainly shortened his name to Ben. This man has gone through years of trauma from merciless bullying due to his name. I don’t know why he’d want to make a bigger name for himself, but I digress.
Pros:
He only slides tackles to tackle opponents, but damn if it doesn’t work most of the time!
His shot power is out of this world, goalkeepers quake in their boots when this man loads up his leg for an absolute rocket of a long shot
No-nonsense defender, he rarely makes defensive errors and can stop attacks dead in its tracks
Cons:
Due to being bullied for practically his whole life, any opponent who mocks his name will expect many incidents of aggression where The Big BDG will stamp it out, literally
Really unathletic, any team drafting him needs to make sure they get him in some kind of program
CB Loklana Solomon, 21Female centre-backs are uncommon here in Maccian, with most females playing at the full-back position if they do play in defence. At 6’2”, Loklana Solomon will definitely be able to hold her own against a lot of players. Hopefully, she can have a long and prosperous career so that she can inspire many young girls who are told they can’t play centre-back because it is too physical for them.
Pros:
A very ambitious player and always performs to the best of her ability
Very reliable as a defender, rarely make blunders or errors
She is a strong header of the ball which will be very useful for set-pieces
Cons:
Critics may argue that male players will have a field day with her due to her lack of strength as a centre-half
Needs to put on some more weight, she is quite skinny
Has an issue with her ankle, it seems as though that area of her body is more prone to injury
LW Hiya Jiajoto, 14 Hiya Jiajoto is the youngest player in this draft at just 14 years old. Should she even be eligible for the draft? Probably not. But if you have already gotten a Physics Master’s Degree at the age of 12, naturally you are going to get bored in life and try out more fun things. Is she any good? Well, she’s decent but she sure is smart as hell!
Pros:
She can run for 90 minutes without breaking a sweat, she has insane stamina which could get even better considering the fact she’s only 14 years old
It seems as if the ball is glued to her feet when she dribbles
One of the smartest people in Maccian, she will be a master tactician as she progresses in her career
Cons:
Like Eztelle Zeyla, Hiya Jiajoto is as weak as a twig. At 5’2”, she will likely be on the diminutive side so she must evolve her game to compensate for her lack of height and strength
Has to change away from her the rest of her team due to child protection laws, seeing as 16 is considered an adult in Maccian.
Not a great scorer, but can finish occasionally.
ST: Pop Greenman, 18The man, the myth, the legend. A meme circulated around the city of Castrealm in the state of Pen Dors about him taking 23 shots in the Pen Dors State Championship Semi-Finals and with only one of them being on-target, an easily saveable shot. His team would go on to lose to a goal in the last minute of the match, with Pop Greenman being seen as a clown. The worst team in the league may go for the worst player in the draft class with their number 1 pick, typical of Castrealmers…
Pros:
Good at being a target man and can pass the ball to more pacey players
Good at heading the ball into the net
Strong as a bull
Cons:
Painfully slow
Has a non-existent first touch
An unreliable finisher, hit-or-miss most of the time.
A little bit, how can I put this, noticeably plump around the midsection
RB Sir Walter X, 20 AKA “The Royal Roadman”Sir Walter X hasn’t been knighted, by the way, he got his name changed like a week ago. He has released numerous drill videos which have gathered over 4.49 million views on PowerHou5e which contain very disturbing lyrics. “Grab up an opps’ neck, hang him up on the gallows and make sure the drop is shallow, leave my man hanging there, I guess you could say he won that game of hangman” is just one example of these terrible lyrics, both literally and figuratively. He is a very antagonistic full-back who pretty much taunts opposition players all game and throws them off their game. Let’s hope he won’t “shank” one of his “opps”.
Pros:
Gets inside player’s heads very easily and throws them off their game, can happen to even the strongest willed of individuals.
Plays football like it’s rugby, insanely strong and uses his physicality all the time
Because of his lyrics on his drill songs, players may buy into the facade that he is an extremely threatening individual and will be reluctant to press or tackle him for fear of retaliation
Cons:
Will start all the fights and will be perfect alongside Kizerain who will certainly end them
Never switches off the aggression, plays football a little bit too much like rugby
Will insult the referees if he doesn’t agree with a decision they made
A very hostile player who causes and stirs up all the drama
CM Jessie Calinnflores, 21 AKA “The Cobra”Jessie Calinnflores isn’t known in Maccian for her football skills, which are slept on. We’ve all seen the video, but foreigners will have never heard of her. The opposing teams facing her team will be very distracted but she gets players in a trance-like state and then launches quick-fire counter-attacks. She’s not called “The Cobra” for nothing!
Pros:
A real head turner, but uses this to her advantage whether it’s winning the ball from them, beating them as they look on in, er, admiration? Or making a quick through ball to teammates.
Amazing football IQ as she knows when to make runs, the best player to pass to in any situation, the best shot to take and how best to counter a team’s tactics
A smart decision for any team to pick up profit-wise as her jersey sales will go through the roof and every match she plays in, a sold-out match is pretty much guaranteed.
Tenacious ball winner, quite a good box-to-box midfielder
Cons:
A controversial figure, parents may not want their children attending her games
Only 5’1”, she will be bullied around a lot by opposition players
Relies on her passing, ball-winning and football IQ because she isn’t the most athletic player.
LB: Rasheed Malaukkokenendy, 19No one really knows this guy. He plays at the left-back position. He’s 19. He’s from Zapster, Wavefire. He’s around 6’0”. That’s the full extent of my knowledge on this guy, let’s see how’ll he’ll get on.
Pros:
Is listed as a left-back so can’t be too bad at defending, crossing, dribbling and passing, right?
He is 6’0” so may be able to head the ball
Cons:
Might be bad at defending, crossing, dribbling and passing.
CB Kenny Sant-Peterro, 23Towering over players at an immense 6’9”(who, by the way, isn’t even the tallest player in the draft) Kenny Saint-Peterro is more suited to playing basketball rather than football. To be honest, he should be down low against another power forward, trying to post them up rather than sticking out like a giraffe in a dazzle of zebras. Will his body hold up with football being well known for its physicality?
Pros:
Very, very, very tall. Every corner-kick should target him for an easy header and will be able to head the ball away in dangerous situations
Due to his immense size at 245lbs, he can literally squash attacking players like a bug
Cons:
Has recurring knee injuries which are concerning for any team looking to draft this goliath
Will probably be injured for the large majority of his career, he is too tall to play football
Clumsy due to not knowing the full extents of his strength will likely give away free-kicks and penalties just through putting a foot in
Slower than even Pop Greenman and probably moves 2 metres every millennium
With the draft coming up so quickly, only a handful of scouts from around the league may have seen each of these foreign players. Their playstyles are relatively unknown to most teams so many could be reluctant to draft these foreign players. We’ll just have to wait and see on draft night.
ST Tikal Lee,18 from Kita Hinode Tikal Lee was born in the Hinodejin Colony of Sunakawama and played the past three seasons as a migrant player between the colonial leagues, defending Marionette Korima (Sunakawama), So-Sweet Otama (Kanadanode) and her last club so far Keru Lupinotes (Karinode). It is said that she wants to join an international league so she can have a shot at the Hinodejin national team. Which team will take their chances with her?
Pros:
According to scouts from the Singlewave Surf, she is a mobile forward who gives defenders trouble every time the ball is at her feet.
She is arguably one of the most clinical finishers in the draft, rivalling Amiensha Kiyle and Jake Sexter
She has a scary combination of blistering speed and incredible stamina, meaning she’s a threat for all 90 minutes, the defence cannot let up at any moment
Cons:
Not much is known about her considering the fact that only one team scouted her, so any team that drafts her will find out her weaknesses when she arrives at the team.
LM/CAM Adam Weiss, 18 from South NewlandiaAdam Weiss could have applied his trade to other leagues but chose the MFL because our gracious Supreme Leader has provided the league with enough funding to entice more foreign players. It is clear that Adam Weiss is going abroad for the money, but honestly who can blame him? He may have a family back home that are dependent on the money he receives, so who are we to judge?
Pros:
His flair will dazzle the crowd, along with being left-footed which is a rarity in Maccian
Passionate about the game, whatever team he plays for, just know he will give his all for the team
Average at most aspects of the game, not a standout player.
Cons:
Sometimes too aggressive and does get booked could get sent off if he doesn’t tone it down.
Many teams may question where his loyalties lie. Could he be a money-grabbing foreigner who will ditch the MFL as soon as possible for more money? Only time will tell
RB Miri Belli, 21 from The Jovannic Miri Belli has been capped 21 times for The Jovannic and is the starting right-back for the national team. Miri Belli is reportedly not doing too well in the qualifiers as of writing, but perhaps he can turn around his misfortune.
Pros:
Quite speedy as a full-back will be hard to catch on offence, but will have no problem clamping down on wingers thinking they can outpace him
Has an eye for through passes which will be a useful asset for any team looking for innovative wingers.
Cons:
May make rash decisions, but this will get better with both age and more experience playing in matches.
His form could just continue slumping for both club and country, but is ultimately here to prove the critics wrong
CAM Daniel Gonzalez, 17 from Northwest KalactinDaniel Gonzalez is a 17-year-old from Northwest Kalactin who sought to come to Maccian to draw some attention to his abilities. He is 5’9” and 160lbs, or 73 kg and will be looking to impress off the bench and possibly even starting
Pros:
Good football IQ and knows the ins and outs of the game quite well for a player of his age
Had decent athleticism
Cons:
Not very skilled as a player
Won’t be expected to start right away as he isn’t very impactful on the pitch, it would be best to have him come on as a substitute or as a rotation player
ST Johnny Brewer, 20 from XanneriaNot much is known about Johnny Brewer apart from the fact that he is from the University of Upper Plymouth, which is presumably in Xanneria. Teams will be taking a gamble drafting him due to not knowing his playstyle
Pros:
Extremely aggressive and resilient. He won’t back down from a challenge and will go full steam ahead
Con:
Due to being very aggressive, he will be booked or even sent off quite a lot.
LB Evin Ozen, 19 from Busoga IslandsEvin Ozen is on the reserve list for the Busoga Islands national team, so it is safe to say that she is a promising young player who’s looking to ply her trade here to potentially get into the national team.
Pros:
Pacey player, gets up and down the field rather quickly whether on or defending a counter-attack
Great stamina and along with her pace it makes her a threat for the whole game
Cons:
There are concerns she is too reliant on pace, which could work against her in the back end of her career.
Her biggest weakness is pure strength- she is somebody who can fairly easily get muscled off the ball.
CDM Lucie Shanahan, 18 from Baker ParkLucie Shanahan is seen as one of the promising young defensive midfielders coming through in the FAC Development Scheme. Played on the SWC 9 U18 Championship squad, which was the second of her three campaigns with that team. A graduate of Samuel Taylor Coleridge High School in Hamilton, she was a unanimous selection to the Baker Park SSIAA Southern Regional All-Star Team three years in a row and named to the First All-Star Team statewide as a junior & senior. She only needs some experience playing in longer seasons, which she is hopefully strong enough to handle.
Pros:
Lucie is quite the physical player, it will be interesting to see how far her physicality can take her
Excellent ball winner and good with the ball in her feet- it is a shame that she is only 5’9” and 140lbs because she would be a major contributor to any team as a centre-back if she was taller and more built
Able to shield the defence or cover for an attacking midfielder, she does all the team’s dirty work very efficiently
Cons:
Lacks pace, could be blown by faster opposition players
Surprisingly pedestrian as a crosser or long passer, this along with her pace pretty much eliminates any chances of her playing as a full-back or even in defence in general
GK Shelby Hackett, 20 from DrawklandShelby has always had a good instinct for goalkeeping and was a clear standout player in the kids leagues. As she transitioned into high school, her play quickly advanced, and her parents hired a personal trainer to develop her skills further than her coaches at Madrena High School could manage. Shelby wasn't interested in playing in the collegiate system in Drawkland so decided she would declare for the MFL draft as no Drawkian club would pick her up straight out of high school. If a team is going to draft a goalkeeper, they would be foolish to snub a 7’6 giant who will likely be playing for a long time considering the fact that Drawkians have longer lifespans compared to Maccians.
Pros:
Good athleticism, able to leap and extend well. It will be borderline unfair for teams that have to go up against her.
She is used to a smaller defensive line as Drawkian formations are very offence-heavy, so will likely have an easier time with a larger defence
Drawkians are about 7'5" on average, Shelby is 7'6", so she'll be comparatively massive in the goal to the rest of the team.
She is fiercely motivated and eager to please her team in any way possible
Will probably be picked by the 5th pick at the latest, shows a tremendous amount of potential
Cons:
She is still young and used to being the superstar of her team, will probably not be used to being a role player
Drawkian officials are much more lax about physicality, so what she thinks is fine may be subject to yellow cards or even red cards in a more "normal" league. She will have to be cautious when rushing out to meet an attacker one-on-one
A bit too cocky, may lead to her making silly decisions but this will get better with age.
