CHAPTER 6
ARUPURA

Eraman travelled to South Newlandia for its third match in Group 13 of the World Cup qualifiers. After winning its first two matches, Eraman started the match gun-blazing again with Buisan Buayan scoring as early as the 8th minute.

Newcomers South Newlandia though proved to be a tougher opponent than first thought. The second half started brightly for the team from Esportiva. They equalized through Simon McCabe who dribbled past the goalkeeper, Dundang Bayan just after the second half restarted.

A mistake from South Newlandia goalkeeper 10 minutes later handed Eraman back the lead after Trischuk misjudged the flight of the long shot by national team captain, Putra Daulapura Suara Petara.

South Newlandia scored the equalizer ten minutes before the final whistle with a volley from Bjorn Cohen who received the ball from a corner kick taken quickly by debutant, Abdulrahman Bishop.

The match ended 2-2. A disappointing day for Eraman in a match they were expected to win.

Eraman returned home for the fourth match to play Tamgu in Arupura Stadium. It's the first competitive football match to take place in Arupura since the protest began.

Arupura is the third biggest city in Eraman after Anara and Daulapura. It is also the state capital and biggest city of the northern state. Aru. The Kingdom of Aru and Kingdom of Daula in which Tun Sengalang Petara belongs to have had close ties for hundreds of years. But recently, Arupura has been one of the staunch opponents of Tun Sengalang Petara. The Kingdom of Aru is one of three states that is not governed by Tun Sengalang Petara led coalition, The National Front.

The crowds were wild. Some anti-Tun Sengalang Petara banners can be seen around the stadium. And the match itself, despite a scoreless first half, was crazily exciting. A hattrick by Buisan Buayan in the second half clinched another three points for Eraman.

The match ended with a 3-0 scoreline. After 4 matches, Eraman was second on 10 points behind Valanora who had a 100% record. A big trip to Pasarga in the fifth match will determine the fate of the national team.

Terre Septentrionale loses two in a row

Gold Coast, Northwest Kalactin - It was going well for Terre Septentrionale: some nations lost some games and we ended up in 1st place. Then we lost two in a row and we're in 3rd place. On matchday 8, the Nordiques travelled to Wanarpu and beat them 1-0. The only goal of the game was scored at the 37th minute when Yannick Ksiezniakiewicz passed to Roksana Kolodziejczyk who dribbled and made a cross to Sandrine Fontaine who shoots and she scores.

Terre Septentrionale was back at home on National Day to face off against Eura. We had celebrations all day with music bands performing, fireworks were scheduled for after the game. However Eura spoiled the celebrations by beating the Reprezentacja Nordycki 3-1. Terre Septentrionale's lone goal happened at the 25th minute when Franciszek Niedzwiecki passed to Wlodzimierz Waclawczyk who dribbled and made a header pass to Fryderyka Cwierczakiewiczowa who heads the ball right into the net. We still had fireworks after the game but people wasn't in the mood to celebrate. Riots happened and the SS (Sûreté Septentrionale) arrested 138 rioters in Trzebiegoszcz, most of them were drunk. There's lots of damage in downtown Trzebiegoszcz, and even a guitar store was vandalized.

Then on matchday 10, Terre Septentrionale travelled to Northwest Kalactin but lost again by the score of 3-1. Jimmy McCarthy scored at the 10th minute and the Kalactanian were leading 1-0. The Northmen's only goal happened at the 46th minute and was scored off of a direct free kick by Roksana Kolodziejczyk. Luke Dillan scored two unanswered goals for Northwest Kalactin and they won 3-1.

Matchday 8

37th minute: Sandrine Fontaine assisted by Roksana Kolodziejczyk

Matchday 9

25th minute: Fryderyka Cwierczakiewiczowa assisted by Wlodzimierz Waclawczyk

Matchday 10

46th minute: Roksana Kolodziejczyk (direct free kick)

3rd place

Terre Septentrionale fell to the 3rd place with 17 points in 9 games. It still not bad, but if the World Cup started now, we wouldn't be in. On matchday 11, the Nordiques will be back at home and will face Eshan at Multiversal Hotel Stadium in El Perro, Texas. You can expect Terre Septentrionale's full line up against Eshan.

The game against the Crystalline Caverns had been a big success for les licornes. It was only the second time—and first since match-day three—that they'd score more than a single goal at home. Strangely, it was their second win by a score of five to two; Damukuni had received a similar pasting, which was unusual for the typically defensively minded reçuecian squad: in their last five games they'd never scored more than one goal (and had only allowed one that whole time).

The win, which being played in front of the home crowd, was that much more exciting, gave the team the energy they needed to visit Emastalia and continue their four-game win streak—undefeated since the end of the Eagle's'' Cup. Emastalia, although new to multiversal football, had a long history of playing the game at home and had managed to draw against teams such as Damukuni, so one couldn't be too confident, despite their place in seventh in the group.

The reçuecians flew in to the Emastalian city of Amsterdam and made their way to the absolutely spectacular Lotus Stadium. The stadium, which had walls and a roof sculpted to imitate the petals of a Lotus, provided a gorgeous and exotic location for les licornes to face their opponents—the lighting of the stadium even added to the effect with colors in violet and fuchsia. Reçueçn came out wearing their 'home' jerseys, which would provide less of a contrast with the yellow Emastalian first kit than their white 'away' jerseys would have.

Unfortunately for the hosts, the beautiful stadium was not enough to secure the victory. Early in the first half Raoul Lavigne scored on a breakaway after Hippolyte Lavigne (no relation) juked past the defenders and passed back to center to Raoul, thirteen meters out. Hippolyte Lavigne himself scored himself before the half was out, and at half-time the Peacocks retired to their locker-room to re-form their defenses and put together a plan for a counterattack.

As the second half began, it appeared they had been successful; Jamus Aaldenburg put an exquisite shot past reçuecian goalkeeper Gerauld Firaut to begin the comeback. Happily for the visitors, however, the comeback was not to be: within ten minutes Robert Chéreau had found an answer, and Ly Nasser added one of his own in the 78th minute to make the final score four-one. The teams shook hands at the end of the game, and some of the reçuecian players took photos with Luuk the Peacock.

Back in Reçueçn, the team had to prepare for their next game, which would be the big one: according to a Nepharan journalist, "Whenever a qualifying group is drawn, the fixture to circle is always when the second seed hosts the first". That would certainly be true for World Cup Eighty-Five Qualifying Group Fifteen, particularly since the winner of the game would take the spot at the top of the group. But of course, with domestic play having resumed a couple years ago, world cup qualifiers now took place during the regular season, so before preparing for The Big Game the various squad members would have to make the trip back to their clubs for league play.

For Franky, Reçueçn's precocious striker, this meant going back to Genève, a little further away from the watchful eye of national team assistant manager Bonheur Relié. And for Franky, the increased freedom meant he could consecrate more time to what had become his new passion: being a Cocoa-bo truther. This meant some social media posts that Relié would specifically have advised against (Franky's coach at Association Genève, Jean-Pierre Boulet, probably wasn't enthusiastic about it either, but Cocoa-Bo not really having penetrated the Reçuecian market, Franky's campaign was mostly seen as an international thing and ignored by his club and the LNRF).

Cocoa-Bo is a PED and the WCC allows its use during matches—blatant cheating! We must speak out to stop this!

However, when the posts didn't go viral the way Franky had hoped, he decided to take personal action. Making a sign, he made his way to downtown Genève, where he stood on the sidewalk holding aloft his piece of cardboard on which he had scrawled "COCOA-BO IS A DRUG".

Franky definitely got the impression that this was getting people's attention more than his posts had. Lots of passersby stared as they made their way past him. Many took photos—Franky wasn't sure if it was because they recognized their football star, or if they just thought he was some weirdo. He forced a nervous grin at the phone cameras. No publicity is bad publicity, he thought. At least people are seeing the message.

As he was standing there, Franky's phone rang. He dug into his pocket and answered it. It was Relié.

"Damn it, Franky! I told you, enough with the conspiracy theories! Go home! You're going viral and not in a good way!" Relié hung up without waiting for a response.

Franky checked twii.tur right away (not noticing the irony of using a Turori platform to campaign against Cocoa-Bo). Sure enough, some of the people who'd taken his photo had put it on twii.tur and it seemed to be trending.

3 things we learnt during the 1-0win against Adyatin

4-2-4 works
There have been recent speculations that the 4-2-4 formation is unreliable after the 3-0 defeat to Sarvojania. This appeared to be confirmed after a dire first half saw them 4-1 down against Terre Septionale. But some amazing plays saw probably the best half The Jovannic have ever played, scoring 3 to rebut further claims. This continued with the 3-2 win over Snatanus and 1-0 against Adyatin. This allows freedom in the attack and fluidity, what Gothal Mathee specialises at. This allows Sami Ning to free himself and start scoring, like he did in the 68th minute. The full backs have freedom to push up, making the attack even more dangerous He's really overdone himself.

Mavin Tsuniki is back in form
Some people often see Mavin as past his best. This was put down after several amazing performances. First against Sabalonia, then against Adyatin. He did well to save many shots, and managed to have The Jovannic's first clean sheet. Joshua Li will have to work to compete for the first team place.

Nivario Wesh may be the final piece of the puzzle
The left back position seems to have been filled. nivario Wesh, playing consistently in several matches, have showed good promise. This may not be foolproof solver, but it is a good one.

Starting Eleven
Joshua Li, Maruo Mulchaio, Kish Dasny, Kallin Yustat, Io Castra, Stocktain Lelop, Gavon Simoli, Rivilia Yunsala, Sami Ning, Ianu Fathe, Jovan Ilohil.

A young starting lineup.

The visit of Prime Minister of Valladares Jefferson Pratt to Columbus the day after the massive riots involving the city's Hispanophone and Anglophone communities was aimed at ironing out the rough edges between the two groups and find a way to work with them in the aftermath of the enactment of the controversial Law of Secession that gave birth to the new state of Angostura from the eastern half of the Mountbatten state. Being split into half by the Aguablanca river, that had become the border between the two states, and being also split in half by the languages spoken by its citizens, Columbus was of course the critical spot of the entire issue. Because of that, the Law had a special provision that left the entirety of the city temporarily out of the jurisdiction of the new state while their inhabitants voted on which state they would want to belong to.

The Prime Minister arrived at Cinco Ríos Air Base in the outskirts of the city some minutes before 7 in the morning, flown there by helicopter from Metropolis, and was taken to the Palacio Quemado for his speech. The sun was just starting to rise above the horizon and the city was still under the curfew decreed by its Mayor after the riots. As the Prime Minister was being drown through the still empty streets of the city, he was able to see the scope of the destruction left by the rioters: incinerated vehicles, businesses such as banks, stores, supermarkets vandalized, streets blocked with barricades or tanks, etc. The motorcade managed to get to Columbus' downtown 30 minutes later, having to take a detour in order to avoid several roadblocks on the way, and as the city tried to leave behind the nightmare that was the previous day and attempt a return to normality.

As soon as Pratt got off the black limo that had brought him to the building, which along with the city's main square were cordoned off by the police and the Valladar Army since the previous night, he was approached by a group of journalists for comment on the most recent events. While the Prime Minister refused to comment on the riots, stating that he would address the issue with a speech later that day, he accepted questions regarding the Mega Bomba, Valladares' most recent nuclear test that had triggered alarm in some nations.

"Prime Minister, why did you choose Terra Henrius as the place for the test? Was that an attempt to make a show of force to someone?"

Pratt chuckled at the question and then proceeded to reply. "Terra Henrius was chosen as the place for the test because we were offered the chance by the Quebecois government to use the territory as a testing ground, within the scope of the military agreements we have with our closest Atlantian Oceanian ally. Also, it is not possible to test such a massive weapon like that in Valladar territory without affecting our own citizens. And no, this is not about making statements, shows of force or intimidating anyone. All of this is part of our strategic program for national defense, which contemplates the right of Valladares to defend herself with nuclear weaponry if needed. Rest assured that the Mega Bomba won't be used for offensive purposes, nor are we interested in waging a war of aggression right now."

"Minister Pratt, some nations have already requested explanations on the test. Do you have any comment regarding that?"

"The Quebecois government should be fine enough providing an explanation on its own, after all they allowed to host the test in their territory. Besides, they should be allowed to do with their territory as they see fit."

"Prime Minister, considering the negative feedback being received from abroad, are you expecting any condemnations to the Mega Bomba?"

"We're not in a popularity contest to care whether anyone else condemns us or not. And as Head of Government of Valladares, I will defend the nation's right to legit self-defense to the utmost consequences. This amount of backlash does nothing but pointing out how scared those governments are, which in turn makes them look pretty weak if you ask me."

The Prime Minister refused to accept any more questions and entered the building to meet with the Mayor of Columbus to arrange other special measures for the city. The meeting lasted for nearly an hour, and once it was over Pratt headed to a balcony of the Palacio Quemado to deliver his speech regarding the recent events in Columbus. Despite the main square was closed off, the journalists who had interviewed him prior to his meeting with the Mayor were waiting there, while some citizens tried to get as close to the place as they could.

Pratt's speech, albeit with a conciliatory tone at first, quickly mutated into an inflammatory scolding to both groups for failing to keep their disputes in a civil manner and resorting to unnecessary violence. The Prime Minister accused both groups of being, among other things, "uncivilized bigots" who tried to "plunge the city and, in the mid-term, the nation into anarchy by fostering backwards ideas", while also ironically wondering for the role of the Partido Hispánico de Mountbatten leader and current Speaker of the Mountbatten State Assembly, Álvaro Montillo, in the riots. Montillo refused to give out declarations to the media the previous day, and did not attend the State Assembly session that day. And another not-so-subtle jab was directed at the Mountbatten Liberal and Labour leaders, who in the Prime Minister's opinion, were the "leaders of the bigot army" and wanted to set the city on fire with the sole purpose to undermine the Conservatives, under the excuse of "supporting the status quo".

The speech ended with an invitation to both Hispanophones and Anglophones to sit down on the same table and reach a compromise, but its finger-pointing nature did nothing other than fanning the bonfire set alight the previous day. Pratt's attempts to restore peace in Columbus ended up backfiring in spectacular fashion as the riots resumed all over the city and with a bigger intensity than the previous day's ones since Hispanophones and Anglophones were both now voicing their great displeasure for the Prime Minister and were also decidedly engaging themselves in direct fight against the Police and even the Army. Grenades were now being thrown at tanks and government buildings, and the number of arrested rioters as well as injured rioters, policemen and women, and soldiers quickly rose. Another curfew was declared by the Mayor of Columbus, and the Royal Army only managed to regain control of the city after dusk. Columbus was still on fire and by then it was already evident that it would be quite difficult to turn it off.

After three consecutive defeats, Alfredo Trapp is fired

Image

It is a clear change in events. On the same day that files were brought to the public proving that Martina Fox-Michaelichen is actually the daughter of the late coach Andreas Fox, Lisander lost the third straight World Cup qualifier and the interim coach Alfredo Trapp was fired, definitively installing a crisis behind the scenes of Nacional.

After an expected defeat against Banija, in the following two games (against Hapilopper and Balqia) what was seen was total apathy among the squad. The roster that should have played only five games played a total of nine, without being strengthened with new athletes. According to TOPSPORTS.LS sources, some players had refused to train the day before the match against Balqia, and only agreed to take the field after President Adrian Stannis assured that they would be released to return to their clubs soon after the match. However, these players did not have their identities revealed. Wanted by our reporters, no player wanted to give an interview, but in private at least three of them said they had no interest in returning to the team for at least the next three or four matches to recover physically.

The interview where Trapp announced his resignation was a real show of horrors. Trapp arrived late and seemed mentally altered as if he was drunk or on strong medication. He answered the questions in a nonchalant manner and when confronted with rumours of insubordination of athletes due to his physical load, Trapp simply replied that he "couldn't handle powers that were far superior to himself". Then, asked what such powers were, Trapp rubbed his fingers as if counting a bundle of money bills, got up and left the room. Speculation was made as to who he was actually accusing, as well as the reason for the accusation.

With 15 points, 7 behind Hapilopper, second in the group, the road to qualification seems difficult. With three games remaining in the first half of the Qualifiers, the only thing we know is that in place of Alfredo Trapp comes the coach of Racing Club de Soria, the veteran Miguel Danvers, 71. Danvers has already coached the National Team once, before Andreas Fox, and according to officials of the federation, should take over the team without great expectations. It is expected that for the game against Sankt Konrad he will have a partially renewed team and with a more cautious attitude. Unlike Fox and Trapp, Danvers never sets up teams with more than two strikers and prefers to value possession in midfield and avoid counter-attacks, although that makes the team slower.

UPDATE - For the next three games, the FLF has presented a renewed squad with some under-23 youngsters to be tested, such as striker Leo Artemon, midfielder Arjun Étienne and goalkeeper Marian Wister. The team under Danvers will play with two strikers. The following names have been called:

Starters vs Sankt Konrad:
Anders Michaelichen (Club Sparta);
Maurice Castell (AC Kasandora), Marian Valens (AS Virtus 1904), Luís Rosell (Club Sparta), Dominic Castres (AS Virtus 1904);
Saber Neville (AS Virtus 1904), Ricardo Santander (Racing Club de Soria), Tássio Camden (Club Sparta), Edward Rosell (Club Sparta);
Adam Porter (AS Virtus 1904), Lukas Hiltmann (AS Virtus 1904).

Reserves vs Sankt Konrad, available for games against Mercedini and Floyssauu:
Marian Wister (AC Kasandora);
Vitor Dallara (Racing Club de Soria), Dionisio Montaner (AS Virtus 1904);
Afonso Heretier (Club Sparta), Arjun Étienne (AS Virtus 1904), Theodore Alston (Shamrocks FC).
Leo Artemon (Club Sparta), Alex Cavill (Shamrocks FC).

Coaching Team:
Miguel Danvers
Fernando Joris
Henrique Duque

Tavernia Stadium, Tavernia, Westmeadow Tavern

It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t dominant. It wasn’t even particularly effective. But it was what needed to be done. And the fans could see that. They could see an improvement. It wasn’t perfect, it wasn’t nice. But the team managed to work together, and overcome their opponent. A good team performance, players in sync with each other for once and working much better at both ends of the pitch. Maybe they were fighting for their manager - after all, Jane Williamson hadn’t resigned yet, even though the bye day would have been a good time to change things up at the top of the tree. Maybe they were just fighting for their own dignity at this point, attempting to salvage what may be left from the gutter.

Regardless of why, at least it happened. The pre-match ceremonies were … interesting, to say the least, the visitors (at least, the human players, along with a few of the seagulls) playing a live musical number they had written themselves in lieu of a national anthem. 4 human players joining forces with 7 seagulls to perform a little known song (in Eastfielder circles) called “I Ran (So Far Away)”. Still, a somewhat quirky team is still an opposition football team that needs to be beaten. And things started brightly for the hosts, with a couple of close efforts hitting the woodwork in the first quarter of an hour - a long range effort from Jennifer Farrow off the top of the bar and a header from a free kick, Carr-Ponce hitting the near post. The Seagulls weren’t without attacks of their own though, a counter-attack seeing striker Paul Reynolds run onto a through ball from the bedraggled seagull on the right wing, but his shot was easily parried away by Korbin Harvey.

Charmine Berretti gave the hosts the lead shortly after the half hour mark, floating a free kick over everyone in the box and past the flat-winged seagull in goal. A rather lucky goal, but one that rewarded the host’s efforts regardless. The remainder of the first half was a fairly subdued affair, the visitors withdrawing into their own half to shore up their defences, and it remained 1-0 at half time. Nya Murray came close to opening the second half with a goal, a 25 yard half-volley just curling beyond the post. Ginton French forced a good save from distance as well, before Jewell Foley doubled the host’s lead by cutting inside the team’s drummer centre back Alister Score and curling an effort into the top corner. 2-0, with a shade under half an hour to play, and it looked like the hosts would grab that third win, in their ninth game. But the visitors weren’t quite done yet, and captain and vocalist Mike Score made sure the home supporters were on the edge of their seats as he converted bassist winger Francis Maudsley’s free kick with a bullet header in the last few minutes of normal time.

It wasn’t enough however, and the full time whistle was met with a sigh of relief more than anything celebratory, the team and Jane Williamson in particular feeling like a huge weight had been lifted off their shoulders. Maybe this is the start of a turnaround, a second chance for Jane Williamson and the Eastfielder team to show their quality? Or, as most fans felt as they left the stadium, a flash in the pan win against a team struggling for points in the same way they were? The trip to West Pocono a few days later will decide that.

A CLASSIC DESPITE NO VICTORY
TJUN-ia 4-4 New Lusitania
@ Beregozera Stadium, Szensky (Att:72 852)

Following what could only be described as a disappointing draw in the lands of red dust back at home, New Lusitania headed to TJUN-ia, someone who already knew this team very well. In fact, there's probably no one else the Jaguars would like to beat during the cycle after the Selecção were the cause of their IAC exit. The home side would field it's usual eleven. Gylfisson in goal with McKenna, Kallah, Umakala and Donaldson forming the back four. Pedro Vasquez and Johnson played in the midfield with Pelinho in Centre-Attacking Midfield. Podlov, Green and Ulawaya created the new attack of the 4-3-3 formation. New Lusitania made one change with the return of Vinagrete to the main squad. The home side would play a
A good turnout for the evening as the whistle blew the start of the game. Paciência made the first goal on just eight minutes of playing time, opening the score up following a good pass by Fernando, executed with good vision. However it wouldn't be long until more action appeared with the equaliser coming on twelve minutes of play, as Kepo Ulapaya doing the honours as the home crowd erupted. On twenty-six minutes what had started out so promisingly has turned into disaster when Peliniho shot a ball from outside the box straight into the net in a very difficult position to get to - it was now 2-1. Halftime came around and the score was the same... that was until in the final moments of the half Jota made it all square with his shot into the bottom corner, with Gama getting a nice assist from the cross. The second half presented itself with just as much energy as the first with plenty of action yet to come.
A certain Porto forward was looking for his second goal of the day and quickly found it with Daniel Jota receiving an expert pass from team-mate Horta to make it 2-3 as the ball prodded along the bottom of the goal. TJUN-ia however were undeterred as they'd get back yet again, this time by the foot of Podolov who tricked Azinheira before putting it into the top left corner. The game seemed to have entered an impass as it finally calmed down. Gama attempted to use his flank to get the balls in, but the maximum he managed was a Jota header into the bar. On the eighty-third minute, Azinheira was named to take the corner, here he would take it short with a pass to Veiga until the ball found it's way back to him. Sérgio Azinheira would now take a gamble by attempting to curve it in from his angle to create a magnificent goal to get the winner!... or so New Lusitania had hoped. Despite now leading 3-4, there were still about ten minutes to go. Victor Santa Cruz brought in Nogueira da Silva for a Veiga that played well, effectively becoming a 4-4-2 formation. On one of the final moments of the game, TJUN-ia saw themselves desperate as they even pushed the keeper to salvage the draw. Captain Johnson would take the corner from the left-hand side. As the ball starting curling towards Donaldson, the Jags' player began to put his vision into motion as he began the overhead kick to connect majestically with the ball.
It's a corner kick. The captain takes this one in what could be one of the final attacks... He's crossed it in, Johnson, who's waiting? There's Donaldson... Oh my word, now that's definitely a way to make a statement! What a fantastic goal for the home side, they have drawn this match at four all, a result we certainly couldn't guess as the hopes of the Lusitanians plummet here. The home fans though, they're wheeling away in celebration... what scenes! It's a goal that most certainly deserves a replay as he attempts that overhead kick and executes it in a perfect manner. He should be extremely pleased to score that one in a game like this
There wasn't much time to do much else and so one of the best games of the group so far came to an end with nothing between the two sides. It wasn't the needed win for New Lusitania but it wasn't the sought after home victory for TJUN-ia which indirectly got some sort of revenge for the Independents Cup match in HUElavia. For Victor Santa Cruz, it was a "match of epic proportions but one where we could not get the result we wanted". Most press in TJUN-ia applauded what was considered "the best national performance on home soil" as the Lusitanian press concerned themselves with the defence seen during this cycle which has been prone to a few costly mistakes. With one match over, it's time for a well earned rest as New Lusitania has their bye week, with a trip to host Necosia in the Azores up next in the agenda. FULL TIME: 4-4

Around The Grounds

New Lusitania maintained fifth position, in what could have been two points from second but are actually five. Turori's victory over Natanians and Nosts proved to be yet another one sided game with the scoreline at 0-5 to the away side, to make the gap six points to second, with a game in hand as Sajnur beat Muradil by 3-1. The Bulls of Audioslavia struggled with Porticalia resulting in a goalless draw with Jeckland holding Astograth at a 2-2 stalemate meaning a real cluster in the race for second began to form. Meanwhile, Villablanca get their second win of the campaign against Necosia by 3-1 as the EOT take a much needed rest day where they have been reportedly "resolving strategic problems for better play in the following games". As the Selecção enter their rest week, it's important to note that it isn't all doom and gloom in the table as Astograth play Natanians and Nosts and Audioslavia receive Sajnur in what is an extremely important week in the road to Farfadillis and Mriin as Jeckland attempts to make ground to join the fight with their opponents being Muradil.

Maccians, Rejoice! All Hail Our South Toronton Overlords, The Bringers of Justice and Freedom!

The evil former government, lead by Petchre Mackay and his rag-tag group of thugs posing as politicians, has finally been toppled and replaced by our most merciful overlords, the South Torontons! Many years ago, these unfortunate men and women lost their homeland after their nation fell into anarchy. An influx of what was left of the South Toronton population sought refuge in Maccian, which we gladly accepted! The traitorous former president Petchre Mackay was the first to be killed for refusing to aid in this glorious liberation.

But the deposition of a malicious dictator came at a heavy price. The Most Esteemed Protector of Freedom Jozy Dembele sacrificed his own life so that we could thrive. In his honour, the second most populated city in the nation, Audoti, will be renamed to Jozyatiennamen Square. The capital city which was formerly known as Mes Sayans has also been renamed to New Aredia, a fitting name for a victorious and glorious nation!

Supreme Leader Timofeé Karcermarskásagusson has assumed rule of the Motherland as per The Most Esteemed Protector of Freedom Jozy Dembele's request. Democracy was a weak system which allowed terrorism and treasonous thoughts fester in this great nation for 'the sake of the people'. The Supreme Leader has exposed this faulty ideology, but do not fear for he has found a way to lead his citizens out of a dark period and into a future of prosperity.

After the 1-0 loss to South Covello last night, all government officials were gathered and were hanged in public to deter any futile resistance from foolish dissenters. The Kidomasdipuetz Jack T. Anjill was the first to be hanged because of his embarrassing performances desecrating the reputation of our great nation. All other officials soon followed after that and at the end of all the executions, the Supreme Leader announced he would be making some changes which would greatly benefit our Motherland.

"There will be some changes around here. Big, big changes. I'm the best leader this nation has ever had. Don't we all agree? I am an expert at these sorts of thing, big brain knowledge stuff here. I'm a qualified professional, I'll have you know," began the Supreme Leader.

"First of all, we must defeat the one obstacle that stands in our way: democracy. It's a farce and only the weak have a system where the rich can simply buy a party for their own benefits whilst lying to the people promising heaps and heaps of unattended promises. The Motherland now has a strong leader that all citizens can get behind. And I'm not talking physical strength. Mentally, I'm out of this world. I'm too pretty, I cannot be harmed nor challenged. Everything will be run by me. No elections, no corruption. No one will be running for any positions including Supreme Leader. No one will run for elections or marathons, the churches services for, ah, G-g-Go... Er...you know the thing! You know the one! The big one up there. Stronger, faster, smarter than even me. Unprecedented power. It's a shame he cannot run this nation with me for we would rule the multiverse! Next on my agenda, we will clamp down on romanticisation of the former corrupt regime. They're all dead, ok? We don't need to talk about them. Those who talk ill of the government will be undergoing reeducation camps so that the brainwashed citizens of our nation can realise that they are no longer under such a tyrannical regime. All news channels and websites will be monitored by the government to ensure everybody is up to standard. We may need to execute a few dissidents to get the message across, but it will be for the good of Maccian. Speaking of them, our police in Parellparvique have suppressed an insurrection led by protesters. I will continue to give updates as I go along. I have national security issues I must attend to. Glory to the Motherland!" said the Supreme Leader.

The most serene and graceful yet informative words accompanied by his eloquent and great oratorical skills have reminded this nation of just how fortunate we are to have been freed from that deplorable excuse of a government.

Now looking at the nation's greatest interest after the daily duty of upholding the Motherlands values by crushing disobedience, football! The Maccian National Team is currently 7th in Group 4 with 12 points after a 1-0 to South Covello, which is largely due to the rudimentary tactics used by the heinous Kidomasdipuetz Anjill. The Riflemen will be travelling to the unknown nation of Melbergis, who have chosen to not disclose the identity of their players. It is unknown where specifically in Melbergia fans will travel to, so the Supreme Leader's second in command, Master Psuedo-Leader Ruitawa, has announced that no fans will go to the nations of Melbergia, Freeport, A Flock of Seagulls or The Appraisal To The Allmighty MR TAYTO for fears that our talented players will be kidnapped and fed poisonous thoughts of treason. This is the teamsheet ahead of the game:

World Cup 85: The Campaign Begins

WORLD CUP 85: THE CAMPAIGN BEGINS
Written By: Richard Hanson (of the Elite Eleven) and Chuck Paul

After the disappointment that was losing our perfect qualification streak, Drawkland's national team and fans were desperate to return to the biggest stage in multiversal sport. The relative underachieving in the Cup of Harmony was no consolation, and it seemed that Drawkland would slip into the eternal doldrums of World Cup Cycle irrelevance, while making up for it with domination in the realm of other sports.

That all changed last cycle. The Elite Eleven, in their sophomore cycle playing as Drawkland's Kick Corps, finally broke through and brought us back to the promised land. Sure, we got whipped, went 0-0-3, and ended with -5 goal differential, but we had finally made it back, and set the stage for a better campaign.

The qualification bonus in the rankings turned out to be a godsend. Drawkland only slipped into Pot 2 as the second-worst nation in that section, but by making it in, we avoid having to go head-to-head with better Pot 2 nations, like Audioslavia or Pasarga, to qualify. We technically started in the slot that is set to qualify (all things running smoothly), and with no blasted playoffs to deal with at the end of the campaign, things were looking up.

This qualifying campaign is to be one of the longest in recent memory, if not one of the longest in World Cup history. Theoretically, this should allow upset results to sift out, and the cream of the crop to rise to the top. Realistically, it's possible that our team will slowly chip away and lose points every few matchdays, falling behind and not being able to make up the points until it's too late. You've probably heard this analysis a million times before, if you, say, have been reading news briefs or vignettes from nearly every other nation playing in this cup. I dunno why you'd want to do that though, unless you were forced to do it. Or under some sort of obligation to do so. I can't imagine why somebody would want to do that!

In any case, we're now a bit past the 1/3 point in this qualifying campaign. DNSN is here to give you a quick rundown of what we've done so far.

vs LOCHARIO
Our campaign started at home, in what we call the friendly confines of Spartan Veteran Stadium. The Elite Eleven, as you may or may not know, have been based in Sadeg, Drawkland for many years. To us, it is home, which is why we felt that the biggest stadium in Sadeg would be a perfect venue. To be fair, it isn't actually a soccer venue, as Sadeg has no team in the DLK, but it's still an impressive venue and decently sized by Drawkian standards. It's sometimes difficult to obtain rights and timing to hold a grand "national tour" holding qualifying games in different stadia each matchday, so we usually default to SVS for convenience.

Now to the topic at hand, the match against Lochario. Being the group's resident pot 5 team, this was definitely a winnable game for Drawkland, and it needed to be to set the tone for the rest of the campaign. The thing with our Elite Eleven is that we're usually surprisingly aggressive and unpredictable in ways that are hard to get used to on first exposure. Roger Apollo scored in the 10th minute to easily put us up 1-0 to start the game. From here on out though, Lochario started to adjust to our specifically aggressive style of play. This was enough to keep us from scoring with complete ease.

Some people like to claim that we have psychic levels of communication and coordination with each other. I, personally, reject these rumors, but there's no convincing some people. I will say though, we do find ways to make plays out of nothing. This was no more apparent than in the 39th minute, when I (Richard Hanson), Jaxon Madison, and Mike Rodney executed 3 quick passes with deadly accuracy in the space of a couple seconds. I had seen a hole in the defense to exploit, and both Jaxon and Mike were on the same page. Mike buried the ball in the lower right corner of the goal to go up 2-0.

After halftime, we opted to go for a more conservative approach. We had 2 goals in our first game, no need to try and stretch to hard and give up some goals to lose points. Lochario still had fight in them though, and their main striker Ghittin broke through in the 67th minute to bring them one goal closer to equalizing. There would be no equalizer though, and our defense held firm to cruise to our first win, 2-1 at the final whistle.

@ TORISAKIA
We came away with the win on day one, which is exactly what we were looking for. The key would be to get a win streak and some momentum going for the coming days. We had to treat the Torisakia game with utmost importance. Fortunately for us, Tokai Memorial Stadium (where we were set to play) was a large venue with over 90,000 seats, so we felt pretty at home. We felt even more at home when we saw the large amount of black and crimson shirts in attendance. It feels good to know Drawkian fans are so dedicated to come to even the mostly irrelevant away games and really show out.

The game nearly started with disaster when Torisakia's Jordan Kallian shot bounced off the crossbar, but after that it was mostly smooth sailing. Once again, we struck first with a beautiful arcing free kick by Craig Bakker in the 36th. Despite some misses earlier in the game, we were still leading 1-0. It didn't take long for Torisakia to respond, because Syarhey Sweetcloud equalized with a pretty shot in the 44th minute. That would be the end of the interesting play though, with only a handful of collective shots for the next half hour of game time.

You've likely heard the news already, but the end of the game was shrouded in controversy. In the 72nd minute, Sweetcloud (badly) attempted a slide tackle on Trevor Garnet, hitting him in the leg and earning a red card. I'm sure you're heard all about how Sweetcloud barely grazed his leg, and Trevor Garnet screamed bloody murder, or whatever. That's all I've heard from Torisakians, but they're just salty that their midfielder is apparently really shitty at slide tackling. I will admit, Trevor did give a little much in the theatrics, but I think you can blame the ref for red carding the guy. It's not Trevor's fault that the ref was trigger-happy.

Whatever, it didn't matter at that point. Torisakia was then forced to play a man down, and Jaxon took advantage of it by getting a beautiful shot in from 10 yards out to take the lead. We held on for the next 20 minutes, despite the increasingly loud and angry boos and jeers, and went home to Drawkland 2-0-0. It was by no means the prettiest start, having 2-1 victories rather than larger margins against these lower pot opponents, but you can't argue with 3 points.

vs BALASLANDIA
Our return home would feature a match against another lowly-ranked nation. It probably wasn't doing us any favors in preparing for our tougher competition in the campaign, but these matches are crucial for players to get our feet wet. Qualification is won or lost in the minor games; you can't afford to drop points against lower opponents.

We in the Elite Eleven decided to take this philosophy to heart for this game against Balaslandia. We needed to keep a win streak alive, and badly. The home crowd was in good spirits and we were feeling loose going into it. No pressure. There's not much else to say about this game ... Apollo, Hunter, and Southers scored in the 17th, 56th, and 65th minute respectively. Our defense was solid all day and we left the stadium with a 3-0 win.

@ WRECKERIA
The game on the road against Wreckeria would be the last of our "cakewalk" games, before we have to face the real opponents of the group. We were hosted at Patrick Stadium, a neat venue with 30k seats. It was sorta like playing at a small-time Drawkian college or baseball team. Great atmosphere for a game and everything.

We came to Wreckeria to win a game though, not enjoy the scenery, and that's exactly what we did. The first half was well-contested, with Wreckeria matching us blow for blow.

It wasn't until the second half that the scoreboard lit up, and that was thanks to a great breakaway play coming off the second half kickoff. It was Jaxon Madison that struck the blow in the 46th, and it was followed by a later goal by yours truly in the 80th. Hunter Bell had a few shots on goal which had to be saved by Septimus Xander in the wanting minutes, but we held on to take the 2-0 win.

vs BUSOGA ISLANDS
This was the first of our "difficult" games for the campaign. Being the Pot 4 team, Busoga are easily in the "upset qualification" zone for our group. The Islanders are a defensive squad, so it was likely that this would become more of a slow match. However, it was anything but that.

Spoiler alert: the game ended in a nil-all draw, but that's not to say it was uninteresting. Both keepers were kept busy, with Busoga's Hibbaan al-Shareef collecting 9 saves and our own Septimus with 7 saves. Both teams also had numerous shots off target for the day. You could easily call this an upset, losing 2 points to a team two pots below us, but it easily could've turned uglier and even not getting any points on home soil.

@ SQUORNSHELAN REMNANT STATES
This game against the SRS, on the other hand, was absolutely an upset. Sure, it was our hardest match that isn't against Kita-Hinode (since it's the Pot 3 team away leg), but what we encountered at Megabrantid Financial Field was a shock, to be short. I don't mean to be cocky or arrogant in saying this, but the Elite Eleven are a good team. We play at the international level and we compete, and maybe we like to give a bit too much gusto in doing it. That said, we do have flaws. I think one our biggest issues is that it's hard for us to play from behind. This was no more apparent than this game against the Black-and-Reds.

The game started rather pedestrian. Mike Rodney started the scoring early, with a goal in the 9th minute following a lengthy battle in the Squornshelan box. However, once play resumed, the Black-and-Reds almost immediately responded with an aggressive counterattack. Zoban Ajao got home eventually in the 21st, but we were still feeling alright. A 1-1 scoreline early isn't anything to be ashamed of, after all. It would soon turn worse than that, however. Ajao would find the net again a mere 10 minutes later, and Jzeovak Vladcik would round out the half with a long arcing kick in stoppage time.

Very suddenly, we had our backs against the wall, and were losing 3-1 at halftime. This is where we went into a little bit of a panic mode, and stopped playing at our full potential. Plus, the SRS switched to a more defensive style, to preserve their lead. Even with that, they managed to take advantage of an offensive failure on our part and turn it into a fastbreak which was punctuated with another Ajao goal. It was 4-1, and even though Apollo got home in the 70th, it wasn't enough. Another breakdown in garbage time led to the SRS crowning their win with a fifth goal, this one coming off the foot of Lyzolda Petrov.

It was our first loss of the campaign, and it was a damn disappointing one at that. Fortunately, the SRS have also picked up a few upset losses on their campaign so far, so we're still sitting above them on the table. This is no excuse though: we have to win the home tilt. No excuses, no exceptions. The Black-and-Reds will be facing a rude awakening.

vs JANTOR
Our match against the SRS was an example of our downfall via our inability to play from behind. The match against Jantor was an example of our downfall via hubris. This was our home tilt against the virtually unknown nation, and it was expected to be an easy win reminiscent of the first few games of the campaign. The Jantor squad is so minor that we couldn't even find names for their players.

And yet .... we couldn't beat them. We scored pretty easily, with Elias Keys coming in with a goal in the 25th minute. After that, we started goofing around. It was dumb in retrospect, but the crowd was loving it, even if all our no-look passes and bicycle kicks weren't landing. Our pride caught up to us, though. It wasn't until late in the game, too late, but one errant flashy pass ended up in the feet of a Jantor midfielder, who made a quick fastbreak and beat Septimus Xander in the box.

It was suddenly a 1-1 tie, and we had less than 10 minutes to make up with a final goal. We failed, and made the third consecutive game where we dropped points. We had to make a change, and fast. With Squornshelan Remnant States, Busoga Islands, and even Kohnhead challenging us for the second qualification spot, we can't afford to drop any more points.

@ GYATSO-KAI
After the disaster against Jantor, we truly realized that we cannot take any games for granted. That, coupled with our three-game unwinning streak, made this otherwise uneventful game against Gyatso-Kai of the utmost importance. It was held in Stadia Capital, another large venue that we felt at home in. Once again, the Drawkian fans traveled, and they traveled well.

This game would not feature any showboating or messing around. Jaxon Madison scored a pair of goals in the 30th and 40th minute, one of which coming off an assist by Apollo on a corner kick. After that, it was all tight and efficient defense. We just wanted to keep our three points intact and get back home, and that's just what we did.

vs DONNACONA
To round out this recap, we have the home game against Donnacona. As with several teams in this group, this is their first cycle in the World Cup, having participated in Baptism of Fire 72. Donnacona is unique though, being a partial reincarnation of older nation Cotdelapoms (alongside others like Hudson Islands). Once again, it's a squad we couldn't afford to lose points to.

Similarly to the Gyatso-Kai match, we decided to go with the "score early and wait it out" approach. I myself scored the first goal, getting a header off a beautiful hanging pass from Mike Rodney. This was in the 12th minute of game time, but we were kept out by Donnacona's solid defense. Jure Filipovic, the 'cona keeper, was working overtime to keep us out of the goal, and he was doing a hang-up job of it.

The second of two goals in the game came from a penalty shot by Madison after an "errant" slide tackle by Israel Kaur (we're pretty sure it was intentional, but he got away with a yellow card). Madison hooked the shot over the defensive line and into the corner of the goal to take the 2-0 lead in the 52nd minute. After that, we managed to hang on with no antics once again, and came away with another win.

UPCOMING MATCHES
While we dropped points against two of our biggest competitors (and then one of our least threatening competitors), we've been lucky enough that both Busoga and the SRS have gotten the bum end of a few upsets as well. So, lucky for us, we're in the running for second place in the group right now. First place, 3 points ahead of us, is Kita-Hinode. The same Kita-Hinode that we'll be playing in our next match on the road. That is arguably going to be the toughest match of our campaign, so if we were able to come away with a win and even the top of the table .... it would be an unprecedented advantage.

Right after we face the Hinodejin, we'll have to deal with Kohnhead at home. Kohnhead are peculiar, they're a new team but they've been having an absolutely great campaign so far, outdoing even the pot 3 and 4 teams. It's weird to say, but our home tilt against Kohnhead is a must-win if we're going to stay in the qualification race.

After that we have EGM on the road, and then a long trot through the slate of host-reverse rematches. I'll get to those later. But for now, from the Elite Eleven, I'm Richard Hanson. On Corps!

Part 3.

Ñucanchi Ñan - Part 4.

Palacio del Altiplano - Metropolitan District - 22/03/1980 - 6:00 P.M.

Hugo Mina was exhausted after a long trip from Sechura back to the capital city, he was arriving after a 1:15 hours flight from there, things were wild at the Metropolitan District while he was away, policemen were killed, a new Serrano group was formed and was earning supporters fast, it was something like a perfect storm for him but without being aware of it until turning the TV on. He decided to watch TV Huayramarca (Government’s official broadcasting signal) while removing his shoes and putting his legs on a chair, he took the TV control and increased the volume while relaxing a bit. The news anchor appeared and informed on about what happened earlier in Sopocachi, 19 people died, including 16 police officers much to the chagrin of mina, who was shocked and dropped a glass of water at the floor while screaming “La puta que te parió.” Someone was walking there and offered help to Mina, he decided to hush that person while watching to the news. “A new social organization has been formed, it has no relationship with the attacks made in Sopocachi, but tries to revendicate the rights of Serrano people that has been ‘supposedly’ marginalized by the government, despite the efforts of integration that they have been doing in the last months.” Mina was clearly annoyed; his eyes were turning red while watching the TV.

“Ñucanchi Ñan is a left-wing organization that has denounced in a now-viral video about the mineral exploitations that will commence at the boundaries of the Illimani National Park, where they claim that the Government hasn’t started a dialogue with the local ethnicities about the rights of exploitation, in what they call a ‘flagrant abuse of their religious rights’, let’s remember that Illimani constitutes itself into an important religious shrine for the Aymara and Quechua nations.” Mina once again decided to scream and said “Are they crazy?” “A lot of foreign revenue can be lost there in case we don’t perform that concession.” In fact, Mina was right, there could be a potential lot of money in revenue for the exploitation near the mountain, but that could damage the trophic network of the zone and the local aquifer, which was important for the water consumption of the Huayramarcan Metropolitan District. There was a domino-like chain reaction involved and a lot of harm can be done with said project, despite the risks, Mina was resolute to say that those will happen “no matter what people says.” Also, benefits for him would be lost in case of backfiring the project, since as things work in Huayramarca, a bribery would be involved in Mina’s favor, he would try whichever artifice in order to enrich himself illegally.

Ñucanchi Ñan was well aware of the potential briberies that could be involved, to the point of creating a hashtag on Twii.tur directly spitting at Mina’s surname #MinaDeCoimas (Mine of Briberies) doing a word-game with Mina (which also means mine in Spanish) and Coimas (Briberies) claiming that the project was a mine of money for himself rather than the benefit of the nation. Rage was noticeable on his eyes, he once again smashed remnants of the glass on the floor, even to the point of inflicting himself some harm due to some sharp points in those pieces of glass used, he wanted to do a brief catharsis while watching the TV; he turned it off and decided to do a phone call, he asked the Directorate of National Intelligence (DIN) to get some traces on what was Ñucanchi Ñan and what they wanted, he was violent while calling “I want you to gather information about them, I need them alive or dead!” he wanted them dead since they could go way deep into researching, he always feared on Serrano tenacity while doing stuff, they always were so critical on what they do, doing some precise investigations that always resulted into important changes for the Huayramarcan nation as overall, this time seemed that there wouldn’t be an exception and his deal would be in extreme risk.

Mina was doing conjectures about what would be the next movement that ÑÑ could do, since they were a new organization, trying to decipher them would be extremely complicated, specially if they used Quipus as a communication method, Quipus itself are so difficult to decrypt since they could have different meanings considering the vibration of the cables, and the fact that vibrations can’t be identified by mere observation since they need to be felt, the task would be really hard for the DIN, like, trying to use cryptography or some advanced method would be useless. Hence the situation, a constant monitory from the police would be needed in Sopocachi, even to the point of keeping 24/7 the personnel in it and try to intercept something about their plans or stuff associated with it.

Sopocachi, Metropolitan District - 8:25 P.M.

After the window of news at the different T.V. channels ended, lots of papers were sent back to the improvised headquarters where ÑÑ was founded and made itself a quick name into the Huayramarcan society, people asking to join into the organization and defend themselves, even people were sending a lot of direct messages to their Twii.tur and CaraLibro profiles, some other Costeño and people from the Jungle were able to join forces into the organization. Costeños were pretty much disgruntled at the management that Mina was doing of its region, since he was turning himself into the owner of a wannabe monopoly into everyday consumption business, such as supermarkets, telecom providers and more areas where he tried to diversify his illegal revenues while trying to launder them, despite the economical progress that the Coast had been experimenting during the last months.

Ñucanchi Ñan leader, Marta Corzo, was surprised on how the outcome turned to be, she thought that nobody would take the proposal of ÑÑ for serious, but it was the contrary, so she decided to launch some convocations by private to different sectors, so the group would be decently conformed under a solid leadership, since it was her other fear that he tried to fear, that the fact of the leadership would help the group to turn the group into something big or would be like an abortion, dead without being founded properly. So, the days of meetings were accommodated in a way that Martha and Kevin could go simultaneously, with some support from the cyber coffee owner and his son, who’s old enough to move by himself or together with other people.

Marta was soon called off by the doctor on the Pediatric Hospital, she received some news, hence she rushed to the phone at her personal bag, she picked it up and say “Doctor, what’s going on. Good evening by the way!” The doctor said “Juanito is OK now, he’s on observation at the Intermediate Care Unit, he might be well by the end of this week.” Marta jumped of happiness while Kevin listened to what the doctor said, the cyber coffee owner hugged her, since he was well-aware of what happened with her son. That news was what she needed to push herself more into depth with ÑÑ, since she would try to revendicate the near-death experience that her son suffered some hours ago. Marta was now doing massive meeting permits for Guayaquil, Lima, Cumbayá, Tulcán, El Alto and some other places where she did receive answer or interest from people to join Ñucanchi Ñan. She picked a computer and wrote on Twii.tur

@nucanchi_nan

Our Path starts tomorrow at Tulcán, we are a pacific organization that tries to defend the rights of the Huayramarcan people, we are the only ones that could protect ourselves from the wicked Costeño oligarchy.

#MinaDeCoimas : #ÑucanchiÑan : #ElPuebloUnidoJamásSeráVencido

Things were well prepared now, she was resolute to visit Tulcán tomorrow in order to start building the organization from grassroots, Kevin, her friend said “Grassroots organization can be complicated, we need a trustworthy leader in order to keep our line, we can’t allow weak leadership if we are going deep into this, so, let’s scout people there that could help us.” The cyber coffee person, named Walter, said “Well, guys, you might need to elect the leader, we can charge that duty into the locals, they might trust into somebody that can support to the cause pretty well.” Marta was somewhat doubtful about that and replied “Are you sure about it?” Walter replied “Who else would know that leader better than a local?” She nodded and said “Well, you’re right it seems; hence, we should consider that we need some local consensus in it so we can march well in this.”

Marta was trying to go home while she observed some police officers, glad she was that he wouldn’t be so recognizable, hence she used different clothes to the ones she filmed that Ñucanchi Ñan video later on the day. With that on mind, Martha walked through Sopocachi without remorsement or lifting suspicion up despite the fact of she killing several cops on the noon. She reached her home, tried to pull some Quipus to communicate with others and then informing about the trip to Tulcán to get more people involved, some were agreeing of visiting the city on the highlands, near the Québécois border, it would be a 8 hours trip, hence she needed to sleep early, since the bus would depart from the City Terminal at 4:00 A.M. and reach Tulcán at noon, the meeting was scheduled to be held at 2:00 P.M. to finish it at 5:00 A.M. and be back at home past 1:00 A.M. the next day, it was the time to sleep, to gather energies...

Later on the night, she couldn’t sleep properly, she kept having some nightmares with her destiny after founding Ñucanchi Ñan, she imagined herself on a public square being against a wall, Mina was there holding a rifle and aiming at her, she was apparently being at the doors of facing execution by “Treason”, Mina pulled off the trigger and she woke up, she touched herself and drank water, it was only 10:15 P.M. she had a long night before waking up to Tulcán, to begin with Ñucanchi Ñan.

Poafmersia 4
Joel Haodao 6', 24'
Bytia Hisel 37'
Daas Taisg 52'

Revatnagar 0

Starting 11: Dikash Johikas; Graciia Warisian, Timothy Gausun, Alex Hoboson, Konile Trasa; Daas Taisg, Ftiks Wariq, Stegaj Johnatson; Joel Haodao (c), Bytia Hisel, Whitney Rios
Substitutes: Likarish Gyits (Hisel 48'), Alexri Timson (Rios 72')

We are the descendants of the land
Doing to the best in everything we do
Never give up - that is the spirit
Achieving perfection is our aspiration
Because we are born to win
~Verse from a Poafmersian folk song, translated.

For the Red Panjias, winning big has certainly boosted confidence, albeit against opponents who are rather disorganised and do not even reveal anything about themselves.
Adnan knows that a draw here at home would certainly spell an end to their campaign, since each and every win matters in the quest to push for a qualification spot for the World Cup. The coaching team knows it is a stretch to qualify, but the team refuses to give up and want to give a statement with this win over Revatnagar. Raking up the goals in the first half of the game, Poafmersia easily cruised to a 4-0 win to get their biggest win in a World Cup Qualifying match (although it is still a far cry from their biggest win). In front of a packed stadium filled with 90% home fans (the away side had little fans, probably due to the relative isolation of their nation), the players displayed their ideal performance, utilising pace to swarm the opponents and press forward when they have the ball, while retreating quickly when the opponents have the ball. However, the opponents are no match for the organised Red Panjias, who just dominated play throughout the game.
The next 2 matches would almost certainly be full rotation in order. Through discussion between both coaches and the players, some fringe players would play the match against Crystalline Caverns, while most of the main players would return for the match against Emastalia. While Crystalline Caverns is a side that we should be careful about, Adnan decided to take the opportunity to give other good players a chance to show their talents. The only overlap between both starting 11s is Fitks Wariq, who is showing quite a performance as the holding midfielder. The matches would also be big celebrations for some players. When Shakira Handris leads the team out against Crystalline Caverns, it would be his 50th start for the Red Panjias. Gisiik Moonar and Pete Carisa would have their 50th start 3 days later, home at Libira against Emastalia.

Group 15 Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Brenecia 10 9 0 1 37 19 +18 27
2 Reçueçn 10 8 1 1 22 8 +14 25
3 Filindostan 10 7 1 2 29 9 +20 22
4 Independent Athletes from Quebec 10 6 2 2 24 17 +7 20
5 Poafmersia 10 5 2 3 20 16 +4 17
6 Damukuni 11 4 4 3 24 29 −5 16
7 Andromeda Island Group 11 3 4 4 12 19 −7 13
8 Emastalia 10 2 5 3 15 18 −3 11
9 Crystalline Caverns 10 2 4 4 9 12 −3 10
10 Qvardax 10 3 1 6 15 21 −6 10
11 The Grearish Union 10 2 2 6 12 22 −10 8
12 Shokpos 10 1 1 8 7 17 −10 4
13 Revatnagar 10 0 1 9 13 32 −19 1

The 4-0 big win takes Poafmersia slightly closer to the top, after a series of other big matches around ended in favour of the Poafmersia. The top-of-the-table clash between previously 2nd placed Brenecia and table toppers Reçueçn ended in favour of the former 2-0, allowing the top seeds to regain top spot. Meanwhile, Filindostan was forced to a draw by our next opponents, Crystalline Caverns at home, and 4th placed Independent Athletes from Quebec (or Quebec for short) suffered a narrow loss to Damukuni. The results allowed Poafmersia to cut the gap to 2nd place to 8 points, and have a chance to put pressure on the top with Quebec playing Reçueçn on Matchday 12, and Brenecia playing Filindostan on Matchday 13.

Starting 11 for match against Crystalline Caverns: Dikash Johikas; Graciia Warisian, Timothy Gausun, Qetisan Monson, Bolsto Nelison; Donk Mason, Ftiks Wariq, Stegaj Johnatson; Hansel Tang, Shakira Handris (c), Alexri Timson

Starting 11 for match against Emastalia: Sandi Jaliaha; Alex Pickford, Alex Hoboson, Danzik Hoboson (c), Densie Pickford; Daas Taisg, Fitks Wariq, Gisiik Moonar; Joel Haodao, Bytia Hisel, Pete Carisa

The Royal Family- Prince Chester,
by Hannah McCarthy, Concord Heights Times Historian

The youngest child of the four that Queen Cassie II and King Charles have had is Chester, born one year later then his brother Caspian. Chester is currently 21 years of age, and very unlikely to inherit the throne. It could be considered an unenviable position for a young royal, and as time has gone on with each of his siblings having something memorable going on in their lives, Chester can become the forgotten one in the eyes of the media. That could be both a good and a bad thing, depending on how you want to look at it.

As a young child, Chester was a smart one, impressing the teachers in his elementary years for his reading ability and math skills. Although, with each of his siblings already having gone through this private school and seeing most of the same teachers, this was not a surprise. All of them were excellent in reading comprehension as well as in math. Until fifth grade, things were normal and uneventful, but in that grade, things began to change for Chester and not really for the better. “There was a sense of depression with him,” said fifth grade teacher Morganne Jerome, “I think he was at an age where he was beginning to truly realize what it meant to be a Prince and to be a part of the Royal Family and with that came the fact that he was highly unlikely to have any chance of actually ruling the nation. At this time, too, his sisters were in high school and having more attention paid to them by the media, which was resulting in his sisters paying less attention to Chester.” Then, there were other factors, according to Jerome, “Other kids in the class were also realizing that he was a Prince, but down the list of possible rulers even though he really was just fourth in line. Because of that, they started to tease him about it. I don’t think they meant anything by it, but it was taking its toll on him.” At the advice of the school, the Queen did start getting their son some treatment for his depression, and that cued in his sisters to give him a little more attention as well. This seemed to work for the depression, but eventually that depression would become anger as he moved into his junior high years.

In seventh grade, Chester would take an aggressive stand at one of the kids that had been teasing him about his slim chance at ever being the King, and he punched that kid in the face, giving him a black eye. This led to the family of that child to file a lawsuit against the Royal Family, hoping for a big payday or at least some sort of settlement. However, the Queen did not give into these demands, and with most school officials standing behind Chester and acknowledging that he was provoked, creating a public backlash against the kid’s parents once the media found out, the lawsuit was eventually dropped. While some will tell you that “violence is not the answer”, in the case it seemed to be the perfect answer, as the nagging of the Prince seemed to come to a screeching halt. In his studies, Chester exhibited some qualities of his sister Chelsea, who felt it was unimportant for her to learn certain subjects, and the only ones that he should have to bother with would be the ones that could help him govern. After all, he will still get a leadership role somewhere in the country. However, he did better in the less important classes then would Chelsea. Chester was getting a big interest in men’s rights, a movement that saw some of its best progress when Chester was a young child. King Charles was especially proud of his son in this regard, and would mention him whenever he could as a future role model in this area.

During high school, Chester was a good student, but not at the level in which either Cassie III or Caspian were. His main interest continued to be men’s rights, and he joined the debate team in an effort to express his feelings. However, while he was a great debater, he was not always interested in debating every topic that would come up. His debate coach tried to convince him that as a Prince, he would have to make decisions on all kinds of topics that did not interest him, but that only worked to a certain extent. Chester would also play on the softball team. Softball is a men’s only sport, but he could have played baseball but he would have had to have been especially good, and he was not. Softball was the better option, and he would do fairly well with it. Socially, things improved for him a lot in high school, making a lot of friends, while heeding the lead of his brother Caspian, which was to watch your friendships closely. Chester was a typical high school student in that he had a few relationships along the way, but none of them worked out. His grades would be good enough to get him into the University at Concord Heights.

While at UCH, Chester would major in Cassadagan History, a logical choice for someone expecting to govern a part of the nation one day. His social life would not be as good in college, thanks to snitching on a classmate who threw a party that would have high school kids at it, and providing them with alcohol. (The drinking age in Cassadaigua is 18). Law enforcement and Queen Cassie II were proud of what Prince Chester did in reporting the party, but it would be the last one he was ever invited too. Former friends started to distance themselves, fearing that they would be the next ones that Chester would snitch on, and girls also began to avoid him. This did not bother Chester that much, because he knew that he did the right thing in his mind, and was glad that he made his mother proud. He would graduate just a few months ago, and did so with a 3.5 GPA, but a 4.0 GPA within his major.

Prince Chester returned to the Palace after graduation, and has spent the last month preparing to move out west to New Lakeland, where he will be in charge of governing that part of the Matriarchy. It will be the first time that an immediate child of the ruling Queen had been assigned to the New Lakeland area. Bear in mind that the New Lakeland region is not a part of the original Cassadagan territory, so it does not go back as far in our history. The Prince is single and will be hoping that the move to this part of Cassadaigua can represent a fresh start for him to meet a bunch of new people. His relationship is strong but uneventful with all of his siblings. Of any of them, he is likely the closest to Caspian, but is a little jealous of his relationship with Princess Christine of Quebec.

Coming up in our next look at the royal family, we will look at Princess Brianna, which should be very informative. However, that will be in a few days. Instead, we’ll be able to focus on a mid-qualifying report from Chelsea Dufresne, who was able to enjoy the soccer team’s off day at her home.

Things you have never always wanted to know about Cheergirls and but were afraid couldn’t be bothered to ask.

Q: Where is Cheergirls?

A: It’s in Esportiva, duh.

Q: Yeah, I read that. Where exactly in Esportiva, I don’t see it on the map?

A: It’s a greyed out plot on the map as of right now but trust me, it’s there and one day you will see it.

Q: Are there boys in Cheergirls?

A: Of course, silly. It would be pretty weird to have a country without any males, don’t you think?

Q: So why is it called Cheergirls? The boys probably don’t like that.

A: Because Cheergirls run the nation, okay?

Q: That’s a pretty lame answer. But anyway, are all girls required to be cheerleaders?

A: No, because that would be pretty boring and wouldn’t allow the cheerleaders to really stand out, now would it?

Q: So what do the girls who are not cheergirls think about being from a nation called Cheergirls?

A: They have to deal with it, because it’s a cheerocracy.

Q: A cheerocracy?

A: Yes, you got a problem with that?

Q: Let’s move on. So I notice that everyone is always high school age. Don’t other age groups exist?

A: Obviously. Didn’t you notice the coach being in her 20's?

Q: So, if other age groups exist, why can’t the nation have a normal soccer team?

A: Because the nation can’t fund a normal soccer team. Our teams are ambitious cheerleaders who just sign up for the fun of it.

Q: So who funds the team?

A: Their parents. Or very rich friends. Probably more so the rich friends.

Q: Are they going to behave when they go to The Holy Empire?

A: Of course they are.

Q: They said no cocoa-bo, remember.

A: And no cocoa-bo it will be.

Q: That’s boring, couldn’t you have made them to be rebel teenagers?

A: Cheerleaders are good kids.

Q: And not good soccer players.

A: Are we done?

Q: Yes.

A: Good.

The group gathered around the table, and Rebecca Schoenlein began the meeting of what was generally known as the 'little Cabinet' or the security Cabinet, although there was nothing really official about it and the participants varied.
On this morning, Tom Dixon, Foreign Minister; Hannah Delaney, Secretary of State for the Commonwealth & unofficial Deputy PM; Chris McGee, Minister for Internal Affairs & Chief of Security; Diane Dixon-Howard (no relation to the FM), Minister of Defense; and Karen Moyer Stieringer, the Minister of Energy, Mines & Resources were the assembled audience.

"We've got a lot to cover and not much time, but could someone remind me what year this is? Nuclear tests, nuclear proliferation, an aggressive Banijan government, South Torontons. Anything I missed?"
They all chuckled at her point, that these all sounded like problems of a different time in the past.

"Let's work backwards, Chris tell me about the aftermath in Maccian. Karen, just put your fingers in your ears for a minute." Another laugh.

"The dissidents that we assisted in the planning of their coup ended up successfully pulling it off. The former President, Petchre Mackay, was brought to his death by Jozy Dembele, a former South Toronto soccer star, who was the figurehead for the dissidents, by means of having the limo they were riding in driven into the side of a mountain, and then tumbling down a drop-off, the car exploding, killing both men and the driver. 9840 was the last to speak to Dembele, as he phoned during the moments leading up to the crash. Then came the call from 9840 for an Apple Rollup, which was executed and completed in 96 minutes, start to finish. One civilian cutout and 2 agents retrieved and returned without incident."

The only one in the room who didn't quite understand what an "Apple Rollup" meant was Stieringer. "Not my area of expertise, but does an apple rollup involve pastry, filling...?"
She and McGee were seated next to one another, and he patted her on the hand. "I wish you were the only person who has ever asked a similar question", as the other chuckled again, "it's a term for an abrupt end to an intel op--Apple equals 'A' or top level priority; it could've been a 'Berry' or a 'Chocolate' rollup." The woman nodded and thanked him for the explanation; she was a bit excited to have learned a tiny bit of CIS terminology.

The Prime Minister picked up from there, "judging from what I saw on TV, the new bunch seem....nice."
"Of course you knew that we were only going knee deep into this, 9840 honestly didn't believe they would pull it off until it was actually happening."
"And coverage on our end?"
"If they implicate us publicly, not that I can see how anyone would paying attention would care, or if they try to crowbar us with it, we've got the photos of 4476 and the cutout doctored to show them executed."

"I want to read 9840's post report when it's clear." McGee nodded his understanding. "Moving on, to Karen's part of the meeting. Let's hear your info." Stieringer had been asked to provide a brief projection of the speed at which Banija could ramp up their nuclear capability from zero under three scenarios--unaided, aided by a friendly cooperative or aided by a hostile cooperative.

"I first of all want to thank Chris for the help the CIS provided us about the situation on the ground in the country. We based our conclusions on the hypothesis that there was already a uranium deposit within the borders of the country, which they estimated was about a 2 in 3 likelihood.
Unaided, it would probably be 3 and a half years at the earliest that they could have an ability to get processed uranium enough to have a reactor. With the help of a nation that has a robust program already in place, I'd say 12-18 months less, and with another nation coming with everything prefabbed and unlimited manpower, budget and resources, about 14-16 months from now." She passed the copies of the full report to everyone.

"Thank you Karen, for coming up with what looks to be a pretty comprehensive analysis in a short period of time. Tom, let's talk Busoga for a minute; new President, big shoes to fill."
Dixon flipped through the massive binder he carried, that held the most up to date information on the nearly 50 nations that the Commonwealth considered to be their closest allies both within AO and in other regions.

"You know as much as I do on a personal level Bec, he ran on a platform that was secular, pro-Banija friendly, they are looking to make that jump economically where they aren't super dependent on Equestria & Banija for their investment or trade. We've probably not done as much proactively with them as we should be doing. Like Banija, they are developing a good connection with Siovanija--another nation we had on our radar of improving ties with--so maybe it's time for us to start crashing their party a bit?"

Schoenlein nodded, feeling uneasy as Dixon was going through his brief; the two had been talking informally off and on for several days, at his instigation. He wanted out: he was tired, distracted by family matters--his elderly mother's health and his oldest daughter's final year of college--and just didn't have the excitement for the job anymore.
She promised him that at the conclusion of the current session, he could step aside on his own terms, and of course he would still maintain his standing in the hierarchy of the Party.
[The legislative year was divided into approximately 3 or 4 sessions, each lasting about 2 months--by law they could not be longer than 61 days--with approximately a month in between. At this point, the end of the session was only a few days away.]

Princess Katherine Annabella Dallas in Great Lausitz for the World Cup 85 qualification

Hello, this is Princess Katherine Annabella Dallas for Naked News Jeruselem. Another day in World Cup 85 qualification. I'm wearing clothes meaning we're not at home, we're in Great Lausitz! No, it's not Great Sausage like Daisy once said by accident. She's not the most multilingual person I know of. It's match day 11, and we're nearly at the half way mark.

Let's have close look at other day results for Group 7. We will examine other groups once we hit the half way mark.
Welzat was at home and beat Acronius 1-0. They stay in contention, and well they are still winning games unlike some other teams.
Nephara had a lazy day at home and trashed Delaclava 4-1. Well, they beat us 3-1 so I guess it's kinda impossible to beat them at the moment.
Huayramarca had visitors Aimena come around beat them 4-3. Not the best day for the home team.
Actually home teams in Group 7 did well, not all of them.
Sarzonia were at home and faced off with Darmen. It was 2nd vs 3rd. In the end they got 1 point each from the draw 2-2, which for us was fantastic! We don't care if Nephara won because they'll be number one we're up against teams like Sarzonia and Darmen really.
Competitive Solitaire are competitive at home beating last placed South Charlia 1-0. I guess they won't be last hey.

That leaves us and Great Lausitz who did beat Darmen so we could not be lazy and treat this one as a game to slack off.
On paper, we should have won as well but we were coming off a 3-1 loss at home.
OK we did win 2-0. Doesn't sound exciting or like super dramatic but we didn't concede goal. If we can not concede goals, we'll win most of our games.
It does look like the loss to Nephara didn't destroy our confidence because that game was never going be be easy.
So we're on track be one of the ones competing, which is good. We're still fighting, and hopefully we can get into the finals.

The table for Group changed again. Nephara still lead on 28 points. Their goal difference is like plus 31 and have conceded like 6 goals total. They won't be beaten any time soon.
Jeruselem back to number 2, on 19. Sarzonia are also on 19 with Darmen on 18, 3rd and 4th. The top 4 are looking like being ones to beat.
Welzat also on 18 in 5th so they are still there to cause problems for the top 4.
Three teams on 13 points, Acronius Simpralia Aimena. Not out if it but the top 5 pulling away from these teams.
Huayramarca on 12, Competitive Solitaire jumped up to 10th in 11. Great Lausitz on 10, ahead of Delaclava on just 9 points. We know who's last.

So I think it's a good day for us. Helped when our rivals draw.
Look Nephara will lead the table at half way, even if they lose two games.
The real battle is between the next 4 teams which include us.
It is far from over but it's looking positive.

Just some news about me, I'm moving on from this job.
I'm getting my own TV show when the cup is over, I'm leaving but I'll still be on TV.
I'm training up Daisy to take over.
Admittedly she's a bit slow ... but she always does her best. You can't ask for more really.
And no it's because I'm pregnant, eh someone is making shit up for news again.

Well that's it from me.
Back home! And hopefully another 3 points for the team.

OOC
Group 7
Welzat 1–0 Acronius
Nephara 4–1 Delaclava
Great Lausitz 0–2 Jeruselem
Huayramarca 3–4 Aimena
Sarzonia 2–2 Darmen
Competitive Solitaire 1–0 South Charlia

TAPALUPÉ, Tequilo - So many match days, so little time… don’t worry, when you don’t have time for the big read (and we don’t have time for the big write) let the GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL-a!!! Daily take the strain - all your favourite bits, in brief.

Image
INDUSSSSSSTRIAL PERFORMANCE BAGS A POINT
Indusse 2-2 TEQUILO HT: 0-0

Location: Indusse Att: 9+14 holy cows
SCORERS: Kumar 51’ A.Singh 82’ | Tlacolotl 58’ 69’

We here at on the Daily desk at GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL-a!!! are the best forecasters in the office and once again we called this one, when everyone else felt the in-form Tequilo could take three points away from Indusse. But they were only looking at the Indies table position, where we could see that their position belied form, if not quality. They had been bagging singles and the odd triple with quiet efficiency and if not setting the football world alight, they were certainly going to be difficult to beat - and so the case proved. A tight, some might say dull, first half ended all square and blank, while things warmed up in the second half with four goals shared equally, the two sides hard to separate. A brace from player of the match Tlacolotl secured the point for Los Pitxileros, while a couple of seniors in the team, Patrick Zambo & Urlegi Gorostola, shone as Tequilo had to dig in: this wasn’t one for the flamboyance of youth.

Tequilo finish the first half of qualifying with a home tie against Graznómispubis1 and fans will flock to see El Capitan Fantástico, Mateo Tafalla return after missing four games with injury - a period when, in fact, Los Pitxileros have been playing the best pitxi of their campaign so far. Onorato Claver, debutant last time around, will drop to the bench as the captain takes his place, while Chicchan returns to the back four and Tutayan is favoured over wonderkid Masango Sukè, who looks in need of a rest.

Starting Line-Up for TEQUILO vs. Quakmybush:
Teixidó | Zambo, Apeiztegui, Huracán, Chicchan | Callañuapa | Vilca Hualla, Tafalla (Capitan), Tutayan | Tlacolotl & Gorostola

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
What ever happened to Oooóooos?

Ooóoos Skueri has no idea just how famous he is in Tequilo. I mean, he probably knows he’s a bit of a big deal most everywhere - capped three times by his country during World Cup 72, the Audioslav played for Tenth Star Hasiera and KT Moreazerua before moving to Raynor City United in The Land of The Pointy-Ears. That is quite a playing CV that any serious football fan in the multiverse would be well aware of and consider something of a big deal. So Ooóoos himself, now 53, wouldn’t be surprised to hear he’s popular in Tequilo - and he probably wouldn’t know where Tequilo was, like many, many nations in the Wide Enness Ocean that come and go on such a frequent basis, if it wasn’t for the business he does there to this day, which is pretty significant - and I’ll come back to that. But Ooóoos Skueri will have no idea - literally no idea - that he is pretty much a legend of unparalled popularity, exceeding by some orders of magnitude the fame and fondness for that other foreign legend, the Farv Râmón Tüjânger. Here are the pedestrian facts about Ooóoos Skueri, in his life after football: after hanging up his boots and heading back to his native Audioslavia, he has made a modest income from making halloween masks which he sells on Etsy under the username ‘Ooh, Scary’. More recently he branched out into wrestlers’ masks, and that is how he will have come to know the name of Tequilo - where the second biggest sport after pitxi is Lucha Grasienta, grease wrestling, a ritualistic sport in which masks are part and parcel of the show. Though most Tequiloa are not aware that Ooóoos Skueri is the man behind the most popular brand of mask in their country, they buy ‘Ooh, Scary’ masks in their hundreds of thousands. And this is how Ooóoos will know about Tequilo, although he has never been there - he uses an Orinoco fulfilment centre to distribute his masks in the country.

Here are the less than pedestrian fictions about his legend status in Tequilo: The Tequiloa can hardly believe the man they call Oooóooos and sometimes Ooooóoooos is even alive. Until very recently, they thought he had self-immolated at a veterans football match, having turned his back on spectators, through a combination of poverty, despair and mental illness. In Tequilo, though he has never been there, he is worshipped as an heroic pitxi-playing champion gifted with a spirit familiar (a cruyff) who had all his powers tragically stolen from him by Valanoros, jealous of his considerable talent. He was considered the embodiment of football, the greatest human to ever play the game, driven to madness because no-one understood him. In many parts of Tequilo, he has been elevated to the status of a patron wight, a guardian spirit to be invoked before football matches. There are thousands of young boys and girls called Oooóooos and Ooooóoooos respectively. The average Tequiloan can hardly believe the real Ooóoos Skueri is alive and well, making masks for a living in his home country, and that he is blithely unaware he is The Greatest Named Player of All Time Ever Anywhere Whose Boots Are Cleaned By Di Bradini - as his entry in the Synaxarion (the Book of Names) goes.

RÚI de Los ROVAS
Rúi Raza & the family company are back!

Read on as sprightly Rúi, 125 years old, finds a spot of romance at his new floating residence in Monte Carlo, where Princess Gabriella, 105, has recently visited for tea and - unless it’s all in his imagination - was flirting outrageously with the heroic footballer. Son Roque worries that Gabriella’s twin Prince Jacques, ruler of the principality, a notorious psychopath and probably in love with his sister, may take this badly and drive the Raza agency out of Monte Carlo, just when it looks like the Raza family might also acquire a stake in the royals’ club, AS Monaco. Meanwhile Rita is in equally exotic Leicester with young client Ben Chilwell, the unlikely England international - but is he glamorous enough for fancy-pants Chelsea, who want to sign him for their faint hopes of a title challenge in the ‘Premier League’.

NEXT TIME
What’s Up In The Next Issue of GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL-a!!!

Coming soon - The patron wights of pitxi; SC Pedregal vs. Acacoyagua - the big two in Guastenango State in the Cálculo - that’s a reckoning or derby to you - known as the Gigantico; meanwhile Ronaldo Raza crashes his Ferrari in suspicious circumstances in Rúi de Los Rovas; and what ever happened to Pablo Invocador?

The Chosen One: Episode I, Part I
Continued from Prologue

Lesley: Surname Chase, volunteered to be a test subject im a mysterious experiment she herself doesn't know about yet. Looks and seems cold, buy when you unlock her real heart, a gush of sympathy and kindness rushes out.
Carmi: Full name Carmichael Fire, was, and still is, a racer. Before The Revolution, Carmi participated in the WGP2. After a disappointimg season, he has come back to domestic formula racing, where he has racked up trophies. Carmi has improved a lot since then.
Carmi tends to be rash, but he can be a proficient leader if he wants to be one.

Theme Song (Warning: not for k-pop haters)
Episode 1 Soundtrack: Best of Me

"Carmi?"
Carmi didn't respond. In case you didn't know, he used to be my classmate in the National Institute of Sports.
I touched his cheeks, but he didn't respond.
Suddenly, the scene changed. Now, I was at a park, jogging. The scenery was beautiful. The sakura trees had blossomed, and the air was warm like autumn. I looked around me. The weather made it seem like it was a tranquil night. I was all alone.
Nevertheless, I continued. About a few minutes later, I felt a hand grab me.
"Ayy, what's up!" I turned around to get a pleasant surprise. It was Carmi.
"Hi Carmi! Nice seeing you around," I said with a chuckle.
"You remember me? Cool! How's life?" He asked. We then had a friendly conversation. Until my dream cut short.

I woke up to see the sun rising. I no longer had tubes stuck to my body, and there weren't any monitors beside me. I stayed in my position for a moment or two when Doctor Jen came in.
"Hi sweetheart! How was your dream?" She asked cheerfully.
"It was great, I guess?" I said hesistantly, "Can I go home now? I have a training session tomorrow." I half-hoped she would say yes.
She paused for a while, before replying, "Of course! You can go home right... now! If you have anything just drop by!" With that, she left.
I looked around the room, and picked up my bag. Then, I left.
Dang, I need a shower, I thought.

The rest of the day was boring, to say the least. I was alone at home(Harley was at school), and no one was free or anything.
At home, I thought about what had just happened. There was no guarantee Carmi would just decide to go jog at the nearby park. Besides, wasn't he away with Adelphia?
After dinner, I was still thinking about it. As much as I trusted Doc Jen, I couldn't really trust me dream. What are the odds of your famous ex-classmate seeing you at the park? None. However, I still decided to see if Carmi would really come. I set off for the park.
It seemed that no one came to jog after sunset. As I ran, I began to question my role in this experiment. Why did I even do this?
As I was thinking about that, suddenly a hand from behind grabbed me.
"Wassup Les?" It was Carmi. Crap. At least I knew I wasn't cheated of my money.
"Holy sh*t you scared me. Anyways, wassup," I said.
"Haha, you actually remembered me! How's your career been going?" he asked.
We chatted for a while. We talked about sports, music and overcoming difficulties. While I tried to look positive, in my heart I was worried about how my dream had cut short. Did something happen? Did I die?
"Yea, it was a disappointing first season-- Les, watch out!" Unfortunately, I was too preoccupied with my worries that I hadn't noticed there was a duck pond in front of me.
"HAHAHAHA. Les, you ok?" Carmi tried to stifle his laughter, which made it worse since he had poor self-control. His laughter scared the birds away.
"Yea, I'm fine," I said, embarrassed. After getting out, I dried myself up.
"Do you live nearby?" I asked Carmi. He nodded his hand, before grabbing my hand and carrying me.
"Wait, what are you doing?"
"Well, since I live nearby, I'd thought I would bring you to my house to change your clothes. Well, I hope my sister doesn't mind heheh," I was a bit suspicious of what he was going to do, but he had such an innocent aura that I couldn't turn down his offer. That'd be just rude.
After going back to his house and changing up, he wanted to offer me a ride back home.
"Well, I appreciate your offer, but my house is nearby, so I'd rather walk home," I didn't want to owe him any more favours, but Carmi said, "It's night time, and kidnappers can be around. I think it's safer to drive you home."
I could image Harley teasing me, "Who was that?"
When I got off the car, Harley was standing at the doorway. His face was originally upset, but it then changed to a sly grin.
"Why're you so late? Who's car was that? Whose clothes are these?" He pointed to a shirt Carmi's sister had offered.
"Umm, let's not talk about that. I'm tired.

few days before Darkmania match

I had another dream. It's been a while since I had this.
I was walking along the fashion district of Twice Square. Since I was putting on a disguise, no one could identify me. I walked into a mall because I wanted to buy a pair of t-shirts for someone. Just then, I saw Carmi at a fansign.
The scene changed to me walking out of the mall flustered. Tons of fans were begging for my autograph, which I reluctantly signed. The scene then changed to me walking towards Carmi's house. I rang the doorbell. Carmi answered. When he came out, he was topless.

I woke up to my alarm clock ringing. I was -- how do you say it -- heavily disturbed by my dream I had.
The team had just celebrated our win against Khazajamal yesterday. Everyone was happy, drunk and excited for our next game. I headed back home feeling encouraged, but my dream may just ruin today for me.
I grouchily did my morning duties. I slumped to the kitchen. where Harley was making extra toasted bread.
"G'morning sis. Mmh, this extra toasted bread with jam is good," He said with food in his mouth.
"Rude," Disgusted, I made myself some iced tea, even though iced tea was an unhealthy way to start your day.
Maybe I wasn't paying attention to my cup, or I was just dumb. As I was walking out, I may have tilted my cup, and 'some' tea spilt out. If it were the floor I'd just mop it. But Harley's favourite white Whites t-shirt I got him for his birthday 3 months ago? You can't replace that.
"What the actual frick, Les. This is my al-time favourite shirt of the Whites. And you ruined it. Get me another one." He raged, almost throwing his extra toasted bread across the room.
"I'm sorry about my stupidity, but why now?"
"Just get me one now," he said. He wasn't joking this time. "Remembered that time when I accidentally lost your favourite earring and you made me use my savings to buy one that same day?"
Oh yeah. That one.
"Fine, fine." I had to dress up again. I put on my bandana-mask and walked out. Since the store is in THE most crowded mall, it'd be hard to keep my profile low.
After a 45-minute bus ride, I reached my destination. I hopped off and stared at the Grand Mall of Twice Square. I walked in, only to hear a suspiciously familiar voice over the speakers.
Fans were shouting a particular name which made my heart drop.
"Oh my god Carmi! I am your #1 fan and I bought you..."
"Can you sign me and my sister an autograph? Pretty please?" The fans gave me Twitur stan vibes, and considering Carmi's popularity what'd you expect?
I tried to locate my store. I could remember the store unit. #01-68C. I went to ask a staff about the location of the store.
"Well, you turn right after the mini fountain. Then you walk straight along the boulevard, and boom, there you go." Seeing that I was confused, he elaborated, "It's right beside Carmi's stage. Like, on the right."
I was shattered. How could I make it past the wave of fans that were there. As far as I know, there would be this one person who'd recognise me somehow. The, I'd get all the attention and yeah. But forget about that. All I had to do was to make my way past the fans, and go into the store, buy my shirt, and go back home. It should be easy.
I started walking tensely. A lot of fans were pushing their way through to see their idol, but thankfully I made my way to the last wave. I was about to go into the store when someone shouted VERY loudly, "Is that Lesley Chase?" Thanks. Now I was exposed, and I would be bombarded with request to sign their teddy bear of whatsoever. The centre of attention changed from Carmi to me.
"Oh. My. God. It's the queen herself. Bitch get me my phone I need a selfie like right now."
"She's soo hot that I might go lesbian for her."
These weird comments were starting to annoy me, but I had to cope with it.
After signing a bazgillion autographs, I was about to make my purchase when Carmi just hopped right to me and asked, "Hey, you wanna join me?" Without a second word, I was dragged --yes, dragged-- to the stage, where Carmi was really excited to show me to his fanbase. Then, we talked about some stuff about sports. What irked me was when Carmi said this, "Hey, do you remember that time when we were classmates?"
Oh god. Twitur and Bytepad(Wattpad's cousin) would be exploding with carmi x lesley ships, and I was NOT prepared for that. After making and maintaining a good-enough fake smile, I was allowed to head off.
After reaching home, Herley asked, "Where's the shirt?"
"Well you know--"
"Oh. My. God. I told you to buy a shirt for me. How hard is that?" He was very angry, "Just, get out now before I throw my Dream controller at your face." He was serious when it came to these stuff, so I just followed his commands.
Spoilt brat, I thought.
Thankfully, now was my turn to vent out my anger. I wanted to drop into that duck pond, but that would be weird. I decided to go to the person's house myself and give him my crap.
After reaching his house, I rang the doorbell. It took 15 seconds for someone to finally answer.
Carmi opened the door. He looked like he just came out from the shower. He was topless, and his lower body was wrapped around with a towel.
"Hey Les! Wasn't it fun at the GMTS?" he asked, still smiling somehow. Traumatised, I didn't say anything.
Carmi's sister, Carmelia, then shoved him away before apologising, "Sorry for my brother. He's just, ahem, excited!" She turned around and chided, "For Celestia's sake at least wear actual clothing before accepting the door."
I began to see stars around me. Carmelia then looked at me. She was startled all of a sudden.
"Lesley, are you okay? *snap snap* Wake up!" That was the last thing I heard before fainting.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages!
Here is Auxe Aggelia, accompanied as always by Gian Gianvilipendio and... well..."

"Accompanied as well by George the Butterfly, my new husband! Look at my ring, isn't it stunning?"

"Yes, Gian, that's pretty beautiful"

"I know, Auxe! It is! I chose it!"

"But it is not as beautiful as the series of positive results that the Talamian national team is ringing!"

"That's not funny, Auxe. Look at George. He is so sad now. Shame on you!"

"I will have to ask for a pay rise. This is unacceptable. Anyway, let's talk about football!

"George prefers the term soccer."

"It could not be otherwise. Talamia earned other three points, defeating Geektopia 3-2 in our Ebdemar Au'tokra Stadium! We now have 14 point in total and we are in the 8th position, along with other three teams. And that means that we can be considered 5th as well! We dominated the first half, closing it at 3-0. Our coach Pedalisismi wanted to experiment, given the affordable game. Geektopia has in fact only won two games so far. With a 4-3-1-2, space was given from the first minute to the very young Neaniaõ, who managed to score a brace, repaying the confidence of the coach. But it was not the striker from Clinepalas United who opened the scoring, but Kata Dioiiké, the offensive midfielder of Fortis Epops, who scored with a nice shot from outside the area in the eighteenth minute. Then came the two goals of Neaniaõ, who showed great intuitiveness, taking advantage of every carelessness of the opposing defense. In particular of the Gekktopian defender Loui, who seemed all too inactive, almost sedated "

"Auxe, don't say those words before George!"

"Which words?"

"You know very well, don't make me repeat them"

"Let's move on to the second half. Our team entered the field only to defend the result. Outside Egemon and A'apt, to allow them to rest in view of future matches, and inside Vottetheis and Enripto, without changing disposition. Geektopia approached in a decidedly different way the game, pushing in attack right away. And if at the beginning we did well defending, slowly tiredness took over. On a wrong long ball of Diepeir, the attacker Medine took advantage, shortening the gap. Exalted for the goal, the Geektopians all pushed in attack, finding the 3-2 on the daring developments of a corner kick, in which the same defender Loui managed to score, when the ball rebounded against his body, lying on the ground in the middle of the penalty area to rest. Fortunately for us it was too late and five minutes later, the referee whistled the end.

Now we are approaching some very important days: the next match will see us face Cosumar, among the most formidable in the group. They are third at twenty-two points, having scored sixteen goals. But their strong point is defense: only nine goals conceded in ten matches! Then the last game of the group stage of the NSLeft Association Football Tournament will arrive. Although we are already qualified for the knockout stage, we need to secure the first place in the group! But here are the eleven who will start from the first minute in the match against Cosumar:"

"And don't you ask George what he plans for the next game? Since he's here, we've never lost one!"

"Okay, but only because I'm now contractually obliged to do it. George, what will be the end result of our next challenge? What do you predict?"

George the Butterfly predicts...
COSUMAR 2-0 TALAMIA

NEW COACH IN CHARGE!

With the new coach put in place and the new tactics implemented, the Locharian national team fans expect the team to be back on top. Rumors suggest, that if things don't go his way, the coach can send the players to a very nasty place.

” I expect full motivation and only full motivation! I will not tolerate any misbehaviour or violation of my training procedure! If the boys turn out to be pretentious crybabies, they can shove themselves up their arses!” : the coach Michael Sallindy said:

Michael's debut game is going to be against Busoga Islands away. Eventhough he doesn't have enough time to prepare, he still thinks that the team can still pull something out.
