The yearly spring tournament is back again, quidditch is back - the fastest sport on broomsticks is back - quidditch is back. The unofficial International Quidditch Federation has formally announced the opening of registration for the tenth (that's right, tenth!) edition of the Quidditch World Cup, to bring together the best of the multiverse's seekers ~~and other unimportant positions~~ together for a time of beer, festivities, no muggles and of course, quidditch.

As usual, host bidding is opening to any nation which hopes to...well, host, basic information should be included as including limited info on the bidding nation, format and scorination settings and also info concerning your plans for RP rankings. I do plan to compile a ranking taken over from the last Quidditch World Cup before QWC 10 does start to allow for a rankings system to be used moving forward but given I'll need to search through the forums over the past 8 Quidditch World Cups it'll likely take a little time to find information. The deadline for host submission is 12am, May 10, two weeks from now. A host vote allowing all those who partake in the event to vote, etc.

If three nations bid, the cutoff for host bids will be 24hrs. after the posting of the third bid.

The owl landed on the head of the head of the International Quidditch Federation. The parchment which had been clutched in its claws had fluttered away after the owl had been caught by a surprisingly strong thermal updraft. So it began pecking instead. This irritated the head of the head of the International Quidditch Federation. They tried to fight off the offending owl, but to no avail. After an assault which lasted close to two minutes, the owl stopped pecking and flew off. The head of the International Quidditch Federation went over to a nearby mirror to see what damage had been inflicted to his head by the owl.
