Eh, for whatever reason, I had the off day on my own calendar set for Tuesday Night EST... and it was supposed to be tonight. So I'm way late with the cutoff. My sincerest apologies for my own mistake.

The rest of the schedule will not change. On the bright side, at least I didn't set fire to the rain. That could have been really disastrous.

Marquette Leaves Top Seed Shellshocked

We have not talked about the college basketball tournament thus far and we have not even revealed who the players are so far. Therefore, as expected, we have not played well. We did get one stunning upset in our favor though, and we are still charged up over it!

Marquette College, in the Pink 15 Conference because everything to do with Cassadaigua is pink, was the #8 seed and facing the top seeded Kanyean Air Force Academy. They have already earned their Ultra 64 berth thanks to that top seed but Marquette College is on the bubble and just might be our only chance to have anything in the Ultra 64. Marquette played well for the whole game and found themselves down 75-74 with 3.8 seconds left and needing a last second heroics. Sage Alvarett was on the sidelines looking to deliver the pass, and swiftly found Jeremy Stillson open to receive the pass. Stillson took the jumper and connected just as the buzzer sounded to give our team the stunning win, shellshocking the KAFA. Thanks to this win, we should not be on the bubble anymore but may have a winnable semifinal match here too because 13th seeded University of Angeles City has been upsetting teams, too!

Five-Game Recap: Frostvale Institute of Technology (STK)
Record So Far: 14-0, 1st in Mugisha II Memorial Conference

Matchday 11: W 97-66 vs. University of Endover (CBP)
Alan Peterson and Curtis Bridges had 20 points apiece as the Frost Giants manhandled the Wildcats. The halftime lead was just seven, 41-34.

Matchday 12: W 77-69 vs. 95X University Pacific City (NFX)
Frostvale Tech held a slim one-point lead, 70-69, in the final two minutes. After the opponents miss a three that could have forced them ahead, the Frost Giants went on a 7-0 run the rest of the way.

Matchday 13: W 90-66 vs. Old Mountain University (DRK)
Sure, the Northerners had the height advantage, but the Frost Giants were deadly shooters, combining for 16 for 21 (76%) from rainbow country.

Matchday 14: W 91-74 vs. Torona Catalan Language University (JUE)
C.J. Carter had 24 points, four assists and two steals as FIT put away their opponents from Juvencus.

Matchday 15: W 97-71 vs. Fedek City (BGN)
Peterson had a team-high 22 points in the win; Marlon Martinez scored only eight points but recorded fourteen assists.

Five-Game Recap: South Union College (STK)
Record So Far: 14-0, 1st in Baganda Peoples Conference

Matchday 11: W 88-60 vs. Blue Coast University (VNG)
Zane Hoffman had 26 points, Nicky Harmon added 15 and three each of assists and steals, and the Strongmen slay the Sea Monsters.

Matchday 12: BREAK

Matchday 13: W 79-76 vs. Central 95X College (NFX)
In this battle of the unbeaten schools, it was SOUC who would prevail thanks to a Cam Sheridan three-point play at the last second. He finished with 13 points, second highest of the team after Casper Boone's 16.

Matchday 14: W 86-60 vs. Drawk Corps University (DRK)
Jess Matthews scored all but eight of his 25 points in the second half as SOUC roll over DCU.

Matchday 15: W 91-75 vs. Santo Domenico Technological Advancement College (JUE)
Harmon led the Strongmen with 19 points and four assists, while Aaron Rubin had 14 from off the bench.

Playoffs Recap: Queensbridge University (STK)

Round 1: BYE

Round 2: W 91-66 vs. Eastern Shore University (HPI)
Ninth seed Eastern Shore and top seed Queensbridge split their two prior meetings, the former squeaking by, 75-74, in Matchday 12, and the latter escaping with an 83-80 win in Matchday 27. But this game would not be a close one. QU's defense reigned supreme, holding the opponents to less than 30% field goal shooting and less than 20% from three-point land. The leading scorer for the Engineers was Jareth Livingston with 23; next up for them is the semifinals game against the fourth-seeded Chromatik City College University Comets, a team they beat 64-57 in Matchday 10 and 75-73 in Matchday 25.

Playoffs Recap: Kanyean Air Force Academy (STK)

Round 1: BYE

Round 2: L 75-76 vs. Marquette College (HPI)
Like the Engineers, the Warhawks were the top seed in their conference. Unlike the Engineers, the Warhawks would be unable to advance, being upset by the eighth-seeded Hampton Islander school. It was a tough loss too, as KAFA saw a 63-48 lead at the start of the fourth quarter evaporate. Regardless, KAFA is locked into the Ultra 64 tournament.

Playoffs Recap: University of Bompton (STK)

Round 2: W 70-69 vs. Depri Sanar University (CMT)
The Redblues once again needed some last-second heroics to stay alive in the conference tournament. Down 68-69, Scott Sparks tried to put up a game-winning shot, but he was fouled in the process by Shantel Flake. That meant two free throws. The first one, to tie the score, hit nothing but net. The second one, to take the lead, rolled around the rim before falling in.

Bompton's semifinals opponent will be the sixth-seeded Alex Zach Free University based in Trolleborg, which they won against 73-71 in Matchday 13, but lost to 77-83 in Matchday 28.
