Over the last 12 hours, there have been a total of 8 votes cast in favor of Drawkland's bid and 0 votes cast for reopen host bids. As it would be mathematically impossible for reopen host bids to win even if the remainder of the Council voted for that option, Drawkland is now the elected host of World Baseball Classic 48. Drawkland shall now have the right to make all decisions regarding timings and numbers for this 48th World Baseball Classic.

I'd like to thank the WBC Council for the prompt voting response! The immense support is not taken lightly. Unfortunately, due to complications with my RL plans over the next week, the IC thread may not be posted until next week. The latest the thread will be posted is Thursday of next week. In any case, there will be at least a 3 day period between the thread posting and the cutoff for MD1; I want to make sure there will be adequate time for roster posting and initial RPs.

Not right now! I will accept you as the 42nd signup and (temporarily) remove Saintland.

Due to the delay of the thread posting, signups from this point onward shall be waitlisted. If we hit the next target, 48, before the thread is posted, waitlist nations will be added to the official signups. If the threshold isn't hit then these nations will not participate.

Thread is currently under construction, to be completed tonight. Group draw will be available immediately with the thread, in the interest of moving things along.

I've counted 50 signups so far ... unfortunately, Cosumar has CTE'd since signing up. So, I've decided to remove the most recent signup, since that's a puppet nation.

You're in for sure! As I just said above, your puppet Broad Coast will be removed to make an even 48.

If Cosumar refounds or another nation signs up before the group draw occurs (or before a significant amount of posts are made after the thread is posted), then I may redraw the groups using the 50 number. But for now, we're rolling with 48.
