After the demand for a continental league for sports teams in the Melayu Archipelago was born so that sports fans would have the annual chance to tour the continent and watch their team, meetings between the Minister of Sports from several nations from inside the Melayu Archipelago ended with the newly-appointed Baranillian Minister of Sport, Oleksandr Markovic, announcing:
"After a long discussion process, several nations from within the Melayu Archipelago have agreed that a continental sports league should be set up, with the sport that was chosen being Netball.
We chose Netball to give the women from our continent a sport to play, but also because it proved to be the most popular sport amongst the individuals who attended the penultimate meeting.
All of us in the Baranillian Sports Industry are excited for this new chapter for sports in the Melayu Archipelago, and hopes that it helps the economy of those who participate in the tournament."

In order to sign up, you must:
- Be a nation who is a member of the Melayu Archipelago.
- Submit the team name, team nickname, arena name, arena capacity and city that the team is located in.
- Submit the names, ages and positions of 18-24 players per team.
- Submit at least one team into the Melayu Netball Supaliga (There is no maximum number of teams that one player can submit.)
Games:
Gameweeks will take place 4 times a week, with there being 2 matches per gameweek for each team (unless there is an odd number of teams, in which case each team will recieve the appropriate number of bye weeks.) The league table(s) will also be posted with the gameweek results to show the current standings.
Once the regular season has finished, either 4, 8 or 16 teams will qualify for the playoffs (depending on the size of the league) and if there are enough teams to warrant there being 2 divisions (20+ teams), teams will be submitted from both divisions into the playoffs. The last 4 teams remaining will playoff in the "FInals Week" held in Jocuka to determine who will be crowned as the champion.
Trading:
Teams are allowed to trade their players with other teams as long as players always have at least 2 healthy players for each position and continue to have 18-24 players on their roster. If an injury means that a team only has 1 healthy player for a position then they are required to either trade one of their other players for a new player in this position or search for a free agent. If a player chooses not to do either of these things then they will have to play one of their other players out of position at a cost of team quality.
Teams:
Teams are allowed 7 players on the court and 7 players on a designated "interchange bench" at any one time. Teams can make up to 21 interchanges per match with the top 2 non-injured players for each position being automatically selected for each match.
Injuries:
Each match, there is a chance that a player could get injured, these injuries can last for a day, a week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 2 months or a season. With 4 weeks passing in the Melayu Netball Supaliga for every real life week that passes.
Offseason:
During the Netball offseason an Ice Hockey league will be run for nations within the region of the Melayu Archipelago.
Transgenderism:
Each team is allowed to have up to 3 male-to-female transgendered players on their roster at any one time in order to make sure that the league is fair and competitive. Exceeding this limit will result in fines and possible points deductions.
Foreign Players:
Teams are allowed up to 8 players on their roster who hold a different nationality to that of the country that they are playing in, exceeding this limit will result in fines and possible points deductions.
