indusse 2-2 geektopia
that was a hard match says lee-sin-young the asst.coach of indusse.Geektopia has sucessfully passed their mission of "Parking the Bus" strategy. But,this has not made indusse's qualification chances to die. indusse has sucessfully qualified for wild card round. But, i have a doubt says the coach " why didn't lochario,HUelavia, bolgano get qualified as they are the toppers of the group whereas lisander who has less points than us has qualified!!!"..

OOC: HUElavia, Bolgano, Lochario have qualified for the Knockout rounds, just that it still isn't guaranteed that they may play from the Quarter-Finals directly. The WC meant that they are qualified at the very least to that round. All three of us could still win the group or finish 2nd or 3rd (depending on team).

Lisander reaches Futsal World Cup quarterfinals through unusual group placement
Alex Martins, from São Salvador, HUElavia to BFOOTBALL

Bernardo Nogueira's men are in a state of grace. With the early end of the group stage due to the group drow, Lisander secures a moment for rest. This event took several people by surprise, including the Indusse team coach, who despite already having seven points in the overall standings, is still not guaranteed in the quarterfinals, expecting a result. I went looking for answers with the event organization. As the tournament has only 19 participants, one of the groups was left with one less nation, and this was Lisander's group.

Not guilty of the draw result, Lisander's team takes advantage of the break and stays at the Hotel in San Salvador. The mood is calm, the group is focused and watchful for the next results, especially Wildcard. Wildcard 3 in San Franco, between Aldaveria and third in Group C, will define the national team's opponent in the quarterfinals.

Group stage matches in three lines or less
Lisander 3-2 Joshenia

In the opening match, the players were still half out of pace. Because they were given time off after Invitational, some were not yet in optimal physical shape. For some of these young people, it is the first strictly professional contract. Some of them, like Camilo Joset, haven't even left college yet, and are already making all these trips. The 3-2 result, with two goals from Espinas and one from Sartieux, was enough to stop Joshenia's good team, who gave no rest even a minute.

Lisander 0-1 Sarzonia
All applause to Peter Lockley. Of all Lisander players, only Rafael Honnelles did not kick to the goal. All 13 others, including Valls, the sweeper-keeper, were unable to break Sarzonia's goalkeeper block. And as the saying goes, when you don't score the other team does. Sarzonia, even under pressure, only needed one kick to win the match. Unlike thirteen Lisanderians, Hans Gretner took his opportunity. If any futsal manager in Lisander is reading this, my advice is: Hire that goalkeeper.

Lisander 4-0 Aldaveria (in more than three lines, sorry. What a game!)
Aldaveria, a team with a strong defense, came from a convincing win against Joshenia. But Lisander could not lose after the pathetic act against Sarzonia, or the dream of lifting the trophy would get in the way. "The National" played with enthusiasm, and scored the first goal with Victor Valls on 6'.The sweeper-keeper and captain defended an Aldaveria attack safely and took the goal kick in a shot that fooled everyone, including the defense of Aldaveria. The ball went calmly into the goal, and the crowd went crazy. Obviously, however, Aldaveria's team would not forgive that goal, and what was seen in the rest of the first half was a bombing against Valls. There were eight shots on goal in 14 minutes. The draw could come at any moment.

In the second half, the situation was pretty much the same, but Lisander got room for good kicks. Fabio Lisle hit the crossbar on 27 ', and Thomas Fox responded on the next post, with a ball in the right corner of the post making Honnells have a hard time. However, at 31 ', Lisle capitalized on Camilo Joset's rebound kick and increased the gap to 2-0. From then on, practically only Lisander threatened. At 35 ', after a fine passing game between Lantin and Joset, # 7 kicked off the goalkeeper and the ball stubbornly struck the post. With luck, # 10 was on standby and managed to slip the ball into goal before Gale arrived. 3-0, win guaranteed and place guaranteed. At the end, at 39 ', Joset still had time to make one more, giving final numbers to the game.
The Principality of Lisander, a sports loving, very highly developed nation in Astyria.
Disappointing people and missing deadlines since 2013.

HUElavia once again had a tight finish in the group stages, this time against Leskov, where Los Amarillos were playing as the Away team in Sao Salvador.

The match started with Baquero scoring the opening goal in the 9th minute of the first half, coming from a dribble past a defender from Leskov, blasting it past the goalkeeper. Right in the final seconds of the 1st half, a forward by Leskov managed to score a goal, past Suarez to end the half at 1-1.

The second half came, and in the 13th minute of the 2nd half, Baquero scored once again, with a pass coming in from Ortiz to make it 1-2. HUElavia then came under heavy attack by Leskov, which resulted in Los Amarillos playing the game defensively, until the final whistle was blown.

HUElavia have won 3 of their 4 games in Group A, and are officially playing in the knockout rounds of the Futsal World Cup, where a draw against Greater Vakolicci Haven in HUEsilia will guarantee to qualify them straight into the Quarter-Finals.

Velstrana 3-4 Bolgano

In an important victory since he was assured of qualifying for the Quarterfinals, the team faced a weak Velstrana, despite that it received an almost certain paddle, an exciting match begins and in the beginning in less than a minute Velstrana hit to the arc first, but the superiority of Bolgano made 4 goals in the first part, the minutes 6, 14, 20, 21 the ball entered the archery.

Lodarst: Let's play quietly, this game is won.

Coach: Please do not trust so much.

Despite that, the Vesltrana team showed a good football, in a few games the team managed to get 2 goals but almost finished the game, in the 56th and 58th minutes.

Littum: I hope tomorrow a great game

Lodarst: Yes but after 4 days playing often and we only had one to rest that was just the first.

Fradshaw: Well let's get something to do, we only have noon to have fun.

Coach: How about going to a restaurant?

Jerg: What are we going to eat at this time?

Coach: Silly, we haven't even had breakfast

Jerg: Could we have had breakfast at the hotel pedro right now?

Coach: Yes

Diurtan: What do you think of going to * Name of a company that cannot be named due to its owners due to financial problems * HUEcoffe

Diunk: It is a 5-star restaurant when we will have to pay since we are 19 (15 players, 2 coaches, a doctor and a physical trainer)

Diurtan: What do you want us to eat from the garbage?

Diunk: This is very silly, we better not eat

Diurtan: Then what do we do?

Coach: What do you think about going to train now since what I told you yesterday was a big lie

Then the players fought with him for a long time, then ate some empanadas and finally went to train all day.

Sarzonia will benefit from getting a couple of days of additional rest.

That's the conventional wisdom, at least. Being in the only four-team group in the inaugural Futsal World Cup, the Stars had a chance to focus more on mental training and general conditioning drills and less on preparing for a specific opponent.

That was Stars manager Cole Hanley's plan. He decided spending any time on specific opponents would be wasteful. If he had young scouting interns, he might have them work on scouting reports for any of Sarzonia's potential opponents, but without any, Hanley's decision wsa to prepare the team with a focus on shoring up its weaknesses and building on its strengths.

Now that Group C has finished the group stage, the Stars know their next opponents will be Hyundai-Kia, who just defeated Ouna 4-1 at HUGames Arena in San Franco. They come into the wild card round with a mark of 2-0-2 with their losses coming against group C winners Belgrano and Velstrana. Hyundai-Kia defeated Monglechabagd 5-4. Thanks in part to their defeat to Belgrano coming by a score of 9-5, Hyundai-Kia have a goal differential of minus-one. Sarzonia's 1-1-1 record comes with an even goal differential and includes the only group stage defeat of Group D champions Lisander.

Even though information about their opponents, including names of players and managers and style of play wasn't available at press time, Hanley said the team would be ready for their mysterious opponents.

"We know we're going to have to play 40 minutes of our best football tomorrow," he said. "They've shown an ability to score goals in bunches and we're going to have to be ready defensively to weather the storm better than we did against Joshenia."

For his part, goalkeeper Peter Lockley said he would be ready and he already blocked out Hanley's early hook during that match.

"I threw that DVD in the garbage," he said. "I'm already looking to tomorrow night's match against Hyundai-Kia."

As for Nelson Archibald, he said the team went out to dinner last night as a "bonding exercise."

"We want to enjoy the moment for what it's worth. Different country, different cultures. We're here with one goal in mind, but we also want to have fun along the way."

HUElavia played their Final Group Match against Greater Vakolicci Haven in HUEsilia, once again as the "Home" team. Los Amarillos started out strong, as Asensio scored the opening goal in the 3rd minute, having another low blast shot past the goalie. Three minutes later, Sorokin made it 2-0, after heading in a corner that was whipped in by Zuffo. 10 minutes later, in the 16th minute, Sedano made it 3-0, after going on a breakaway and going one-on-one with the goalkeeper, sliding it between his legs to give a commanding lead. Greater Vakolicci Haven scored within the last 30 seconds to end the half at 3-1, having a long, blistering shot being scored.

The second half started, and once again another shot was given within the first 30 seconds by Greater Vakolicci Haven, scoring once again to make it 3-2, which had the team and crowd very tense. Although, the team woke up, and Asensio once again got a goal in the 9th minute, having another trick shot goal scored, after Roux dribbled past a defender to give a chipped pass, giving Asensio the goal, making it 4-2. Coelho put his name on the scoresheet, after heading in a corner given by Sedano in the 15th minute. Right at the end, a 6th goal fell, as Suarez took a long distance goal kick, which surprised everyone, both in the teams and the crowd, and it caught the opposing goalie off his mark, as it went in as time was expiring. Referees had to review the footage and the time, and the goal had been scored with 0.2 seconds left on the clock, which made the crowd go wild, ending the match at 6-2.

With the victory, HUElavia swept the group with a perfect 4-0-0 record, being one of two teams who had a perfect record up to now (the other being Lochario). HUElavia now await their next opponent from the Wild Card round, in Arena Santos, in San Rafael, which is expected to be sold out and Los Amarillos are looking forward for their 2nd straight appearance in the Quarter-Finals.

Congratulations to the following teams for their advance past the Wild Card round and into the Quarter-Finals: Geektopia, Sarzonia, Aldaveria, and Indusse.

These four teams will be subject to the draw and will be the Away team for the Quarter-Finals. There are restrictions with this draw, as teams that have faced off in the Group Stages cannot repeat again in the Quarter Finals. Therefore, Geektopia and Indusse cannot be drawn against Lochario, while Aldaveria and Sarzonia cannot be drawn against Lisander. The draw will use a random name picker (https://www.miniwebtool.com/random-name-picker/) to complete the draw. For this round, the venues used will be the 5th through 8th highest capacity arenas in HUElavia, and they will have completed their hosting duties after this round.

Without further ado, here are the matches for the NS Futsal World Cup I Quarter-Finals Draw:

Quarter-Final Match 1:
HUElavia vs Geektopia

(Arena Santos, San Rafael)

Quarter-Final Match 2:
BOLGANO vs Aldaveria

(HUElines Arena, Sao Salvador)

Quarter-Final Match 3:
Lisander vs Indusse

(Arena da Ar, Ar da Paz)

Quarter-Final Match 4:
Lochario vs Sarzonia

(Corte Multicultural, Puerto Santiago)

Best of luck to the Quarter-Finalists!

Thirty-eight minutes of match time during the wild card round match between Sarzonia and Hyundai-Kia didn't decide much. Hans Gretner was stymied on two beautiful chances that would have given the Stars a comfortable win. Peter Lockley was sharp for the most part, but he gave up a soft goal that equalised the match in the 33rd minute, causing Sarzonia to blow a two-goal lead.

With extra time looming, the Stars are fortunate that regulation matches are actually 40 minutes. Gretner made up for his misses by converting from a nearly impossible angle to give the Stars a 3-2 victory.

The Stars will face Lochario, arguably the juggernaut of the tournament with a 4-0 record and the top goal differential in the group stage. Lockley said the team would not be intimidated.

"We had to fight and scratch just to get here," he said. "We respect what they did in the group stage, but we are battle tested ourselves."

Manager Cole Hanley said he was pleased with the team's effort, but noted the team coughing up the two-goal lead with concern.

"We got away with it tonight, but we won't be so lucky against Lochario," he said. "We have to develop that killer instinct if we want to win this."

Sarzonia bring a 2-1-1 record into the match against Lochario after the close victory. The only loss came in the opening match by a 1-0 margin. For their parts, the only match that wasn't a defensive struggle was their draw against Joshenia.

Still, the Stars are looking forward to the challenge.

"Tomorrow's going to be fun," Gretner said.

Sports Corner: Rugby

Hey all, I'm Gary Rozensweig, and our boys have made the crossroads of Geektopian history, making a miracle run into the knockout stage of a futsal competition for the first time. I'm sorry that I haven't tuned into my sports reports for one month, but this is a perfect storm of circumstances for me to cover everything that has happened this competition, from the group stage to present. Now in our first matchday, we'd a pretty-looking game against the 4th-ranked in the world, Lochario. This was a slim loss from one point and an incredible game for both teams' morale. As the scoreline was 6-5 against Geektopia's fervor, the Greens had plenty of steam to come off with a win against an unranked, right?

Well, to make it look dramatic, Geektopia drew 2 times against the unranked Juventus and Indusse to place themselves 4th. And the Greens had to win only once as they hadn't their past 3 matches to surpass New Zanga, who was 3rd in the group to qualify. But incredibly, Peta-hyperon had made 5 goals in the saving grace versus New Zanga to qualify the Geektopian NT to a Wild Card round drawn against Islas Aaland and in another day, they won that futsal match 3-2 incredibly against the 6th best futsal nation presently to move on to the QF's.

Now ahead of them was a mountain to climb in HUElavia, best futsal team in the world since the founding of this organization. The Motherboards were making extra substitutions now.

Fifty minutes of play, 40 in regulation and 10 more comprising two extra time periods didn't decide the winner.

A strange decision by Sarzonia manager Cole Hanley did.

With the team level at 4-4 and trailing 1-0 in the penalty kick round, the coach decided to send a man who had never so much as attempted a shot in his football- or futsal-playing life to the penalty spot to try Sarzonia's first attempt.

Peter Lockley. As in goalkeeper Peter Lockley.

"Just playing a hunch," Hanley said with a laugh after being asked why he sent Lockley in there to attempt the shot.

Hanley could afford to laugh. Lockley converted with a rocket of a shot that caught Lochario goalkeeper Ferti Qerit diving to his right while Lockley shot to his opponent's left. The goal not only leveled the penalty battle at one goal apiece, it galvanised the Stars, who buried the next two chances, both from expected sources Nelson Archibald and Hans Gretner, and gave Sarzonia the victory after winning that penalty kick battle 3-1. As for Lockley, he capitalised on the momentum his shock goal created to stymie Lochario from that point on.

In winning the penalty kick battle, the Stars (3-1-1) eliminated the previously undefeated and undrawn Lochario. The team, which had a relatively muted celebration of their 3-2 victory over Hyundai-Kia, sprinted to the centre of the pitch and piled on top of each other in pure elation. Meanwhile, Hanley and Lochario manager Roman Bjeer shook hands briefly.

Sarzonia will next face Group D champions Lisander. It will be the second time the two sides faced each other, as Sarzonia were the only team to defeat Lisander in the group stage. Lisander media were very complimentary of Lockley after the match, with one media outlet pushing for Lisander football teams to sign the Sarzonian netminder. Lisander defeated Indusse 5-4 as each of the quarterfinal fixtures was close.

Sarzonia now have the honour of wearing the glass slipper as the remaining Cinderella team since they were the only wild card team to win their match. As far as atlas Nestor Borbón is concerned, the team is "playing with house money" now.

"We've already advanced beyond our wildest dreams after just making it into the wild card round," he said. "From now on, we're going to enjoy every moment we have here."

Along the way, they're also generating excitement among championship-loving Sarzonians.

Bolgano 2-1 Aldaveria
Bolgano joined Sarzonia, Huelavia and Lisander, entered the FWC Semifinals, Bolgano fought until the last minute against Aldaveria, in the 10th minute Aldaveria found the bow first, then in the 27th minute, Lodarst will hit the bow leaving the first half 1-1.

In the second part, the team focused on defending because they had several problems in the offense, but in a free kick, they managed to score the victory goal.

In the semifinals, he will face Huelavia, the current champions and the only team that has never lost in the history of the FWC.

HUElavia had once again survive another match through the bare minimum, this time against Geektopia in Arena Santos, San Rafael. Despite being a superior team through play, Geektopia managed to keep HUElavia away from scoring a goal, suffering left and right from shots by Los Amarillos. Despite these shots, after two 20-minute halves, the match had to go to Extra Time.

The two periods of Extra Time were roughly the same, shot after shot being missed or saved or blocked. That is, until a violent foul by Utter Oblivion on Ortiz saw a Penalty Kick being called in the Final Minute of Extra Time. Francisco Asensio went to take it and gave a vicious shot that made the crowd jump up in celebration and cause the arena to rumble from the jumping and sounds of the fans. HUElavia defended for the Final 30 seconds of the match until the referee blew the whistle and the matched ended at 1-0.

HUElavia continues to the Semi-Finals for the 2nd straight tournament, facing off against the Hosts of the last edition, BOLGANO, in which both teams have a friendly relations with each other. This match is to be held in HUGames Arena in San Franco, where Los Amarillos are Favorites for the match.

Here's to our 2nd Straight Appearance in the Finals!

FORCA HUELAVIA! VAMOS HUELAVIA! GO HUELAVIA!
