INFORMATION

San Felix
Nickname:
Los Chamos de Oro (The Golden Boys)
Established: 1956
Association: AFSF (San Felix Football Association)
Most appareances: Tyrone Guaimaro (retired) - 103 apps
Top scorer: Ricardo Romero (retired) - 21 goals
Home Stadium: Estadio Metropolitano

After decades of hiding in the shadows, the San Felix Football Association presents the new and revamped national team, composed of some of the biggest stars on the San Felix's football scene. We are glad to present the people comprising the national team.

S T A F F

Abraham Semprún - Head Coach: Former goalkeeper of Club Marinos and San Felix's national squad. The 45 year old man haves the experience needed to guide the national squad through every cup. For him, even silver ain't enough, he's famous for his competitive spirit and expressive reactions to the matches.

Lucho Rodríguez - Assistant Coach: Head Coach of El Valle. Lucho is known for his strictness and strategic skills. He's also known for experimenting with the squad, often changing the positions of the players. He's unpredictable and quick-witted, often solving defensive issues on the squad by simply moving the players around a little bit.

Dr. Javier Guerra - Physiotherapist: One of the best physiotherapists in San Felix. It is said Dr. Guerra has memorized the place of every single nerve in the human body, of course, this is just an urban legend shared between young players, you may see him reading a book about joints and how to treat them or doing therapy to random people on the squad.

XANAir National Stadium is the home of Xannerian Football, The Largest stadium in Xanneria it has hosted the National team for 40+ years along with perennial championship contenders Capital FC. A concrete bohemoth, it is likely coming into its twilight years as several new Stadiums are ushering in a new age of Stadiums in Xanneria. These new stadiums have been putting pressure on FAX to build a new Stadium for both the National team and Capital FC

NOTE TO THOSE RPING A GAME VERUS XANERRIA

Xannerian Football is played differently than most countries. For one it is hyper offensive with most teams using either 4 or 5 forwards who run directly at the goal with balls being passed only when necessary. Defense is even more alarmingly different as Xanneria RARELY calls penelties on diving (unless injuries occur) and its actually common for players to attempt to bump other players out of the way, granted this is also heavily moderated (Shoving a player with your hands is a penalty and shoving a player perpendicular to you is also a penalty). International players are trying to surpress excessive brutality, but sometimes in the heat of the game they forget. So feel free to have some of my players get Yellow carded for aggressive play.

About Terre Septentrionale:

Terre Septentrionale consists of 20 Townships (Cantons) and a federal district. Terre Septentrionale is located on an island in the northern part of the globe and the climate is similar to a ReallifeStates nation called "Iceland". In summer, the weather ranges from 0°Celsius (32° Fahrenheit) to 20° Celsius (68° Fahrenheit). Terre Septentrionale was discovered during the 16th century by French explorer Jacques-Cartier and was colonized in the 17th century by French, English, Polish, Croat, Slovene, Magyar, Spanish and Czech peoples. After some fights, the eastern part of Terre Septentrionle was a French colony and the western part, a Polish colony. The eastern part got it's independence from France in 1792 while the western part became independent from Poland in 1907. East and West Terre Septentrionale united in 1957 and it's now a single nation on the island.

Terre Septentrionale, once a catholic nation, is now one of the most secular nation in the multiverse. The "loi pour la laïcité" (secularism bill) was passed in the '90s and since then religious signs are illegal in the nation. In Terre Septentrionale it's illegal to wear a veil, an hijab, a burka and however they call it. It's also illegal to display any religious sign, such as catholic crosses, in public and religion is now looked with disdain.

To reach Terre Septentrionale, you have to take an international flight and land at one of the three international airports. All gas vehicles (except planes) are banned in Terre Septentrionale. For inter cities transportation, the best way to travel is by electric bus because the train system isn't developped. Our inter cities buses, made by InnovaBus, are luxurious with lots of spaces between seats. You can also rent an electric car with Hétu Car Rentals. Most common rented cars are the Chèvrefils Volt and the Niedzwiecki Leaf. If you prefer luxury cars, you can rent a Mercedes-Belzile EQ car. For intra cities transportation, we suggest taking the bus. Intra cities buses aren't as much luxurious as inter cities buses but they're still comfortable. Buses are passing every 30 minutes in non rush hour and every 10 or 15 minutes in rush hour. Ville Jacques-Cartier is the only city with a subway system with 5 metro lines.

We have many hotel chains in Terre Septentrionale. Claremount hotels, like Claremount Château Frontenac in Ville Jacques-Cartier, are 5 stars hotels. There's a Claremount hotel in Ville-Jacques-Cartier, Trzebiegoszcz, Yamaska and Papineauville. The two largest hotel chains are the Skrzypczak Hotel Group and Massicotte International. Both have an hotel in every major cities in Terre Septentrionale and they're all 4 stars hotels, except the Massicotte Château Champlain in Ville Jacques-Cartier, which is a 5 stars hotel.

If fans from your nation made it to Terre Septentrionale, but they didn't got tickets for the game, they still can watch the game at our many pubs and sports bars. Ostrzeszow Pizza Restaurant and Sports Bar is a sponsor of the national team and has 59 restaurants and sports bars around Terre Septentrionale.

Starting XI
#1 GK: Matthew Ayuza Jr.
AGE: 26 | HEIGHT: 6'5'' | WEIGHT: 200 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: KS Eriensé [ABJ] Image | BORN: Ashton, Abaja

Matthew Ayuza Jr., or MAJ, was Abaja's replacement starting goalie for previous keeping star Joseph Ame, who ended his international footballing career recently. Ame still plays for clubs, though. With that being said, MAJ is new to the national team, and has a lot to prove. Many wonder if picking MAJ was even the right choice, considering last season in the Abajan Premier League, his team, KS Eriense, finished off with the second-most goals conceded. However, manager John Ndami saw how quick he was in stopping balls, though he has a typical error of making poor decisions (eg. punching the ball out just for it to come back into possession of another opponent instead of perhaps grabbing it.)

#15 LB: Ugochi Kekulé
AGE: 25 | HEIGHT: 6'1'' | WEIGHT: 170 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Rozelle United [BRE] Image | BORN: Abaja City, Abaja

There's one word to describe this man: Fast. When Kekulé chases after an opponent, nine times out of ten he will catch them. The speedster knows how to recover quickly and often catches attackers off guard with his sudden, strong slide tackles.

#33 CB: Jonathan Beddain
AGE: 26 | HEIGHT: 6'0'' | WEIGHT: 162 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Portside Tigers [TOB] Image | BORN: Jazzville, Abaja

Being arguably the best defender on the team, the experienced Jonathan Beddain causes havoc towards incoming attackers. He is well known for intercepting through-balls, and is surprisingly strong for his size. He is also the least likely defender to pick up a card. He very rarely makes foolish decisions.

#27 CB: Eze Mbanefo
AGE: 29 | HEIGHT: 5'8'' | WEIGHT: 168 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Sporting Rafelonia [MRC] Image | BORN: Majani, Abaja

Mbanefo is a very stocky and psychical player. He does a fantastic job in catching through balls, and is surprisingly fast for his size. His main problem is that he often plays too aggressive, resulting in him getting a card. He is by fact the most likely player on the national team to get a card.

#2 RB: Emmanuel Udoh
AGE: 23 | HEIGHT: 5'7'' | WEIGHT: 145 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: AFC Langtree [MRC] Image | BORN: Queens, Abaja

Emanuel Udoh is a young and very crafty defender. Coming from the club AFC Langtree in Mercedini, Udoh knows how to read passes very well. He isn't that strong, so he often backs off of opposing attackers a little bit to avoid being pushed or tossed around. Like his back-field mate, Ugochi Kekulé, he uses his speed and footwork to avoid opponents from passing him. When the time is right, he'll likely stick out his foot as the opponents tries to change direction in order to disrupt. His main issue, though, is that sometimes his attitude can lead to some bad decisions.

#7 LM: Christopher Anekwe
AGE: 28 | HEIGHT: 6'2'' | WEIGHT: 175 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Durham City [NPR] Image | BORN: Callahan, Abaja

Christopher Anekwe is an experienced player and usual national teamer who spent quite a few years in the Abajan Premier League playing for Olulawi United, until he moved over to North Prarie to play for his current team Durham City. Over those years, his playing style still has not changed. He still clamps up opponents, forcing them to either pass or have the ball taken from them. Though he plays aggressive, he is also careful. This is what manager Ndami likes most about Anekwe. He's also a very accurate passer and can squeeze in many through balls that reach the striker on the attacking end.

#80 CM: Demi Yar’Adua
AGE: 21 | HEIGHT: 5'11'' | WEIGHT: 145 Pounds | GENDER: Female | CLUB: KS Eriensé [ABJ] Image | BORN: Kuclaii, Abaja

Whether she looks like it or not, Demi Yar'Adua is a strong player. She also knows how to move around her opponents with her quick thinking and her agility. The 21-year-old from KS Eriensé also already demonstrates great leadership skills and knows what the best options are during an attack on offense. Very rarely does she stand still or walk, she is always looking to get open for a pass and set up a play.

#22 RM: Trinity Boateng
AGE: 18 | HEIGHT: 5'6'' | WEIGHT: 125 Pounds | GENDER: Female | CLUB: East Han [ABJ] Image | BORN: Queens, Abaja

The youngster Trinity Boateng is a versatile player who isn't afraid of showing out. She has proved this already in her debut 2018-19 season with East Han in the Abajan Premier League. After losing powerhouse Dedéna Esé a couple of seasons before, East Han turned their eyes toward Boateng, and they definetly didn't regret their choice of signing her for the right mid spot.

#10 LW: Dedéna Esé
AGE: 28 | HEIGHT: 5'9'' | WEIGHT: 165 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Helfin Fief [COS] Image | BORN: New Eaux, Abaja

Dedéna Esé, better known simply as Dedéna, is probably one of the strongest footballers around. He stands only at 5'9'' but constantly muscles his way past the defense, forcibly opening space for him to cross toward the middle from the left side or cut in for a shot in the center of the field. Dedéna doesn't exactly have the speed; instead, he lets his strength and shooting power make up for it. He also has very efficient dribbling skills, and if Abaja is ever awarded a penalty, Dedéna is usually the man to take it.

#20 ST: Ayesha al-Farouq
AGE: 18 | HEIGHT: 5'3'' | WEIGHT: 110 Pounds | GENDER: Female | CLUB: Ashton City [ABJ] Image | BORN: Coopalo, Abaja

Ayesha al-Farouq is a young and determined player who has earned her way up to the starting spot on the National Team. She was called up to the national team after playing in an Abajan youth club for a couple of years and currently plays the position that Abajan retiree Alulawe Ju once played. Al-Farouq certainly isn't one of the biggest players on the field, however. Standing only at 5'3'', she may have trouble trying to body her way past defenders on the field. Nevertheless, she is a speedster, and this quick pace of hers is what makes her a threat on the attack. As for shooting, she prefers going low to try and force the goalkeeper to dive low for the ball

#3 RW: Alan Atsi [C]
AGE: 27 | HEIGHT: 5'11'' | WEIGHT: 155 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Kingston FC [RKQ] Image | BORN: Menusa, Abaja

Recently, Abajan football legend Alulawe Ju retired from international football. He was the captain of the squad, and now the Abajan Football Federation turned their eyes to another veteran star: Alan Atsi. Atsi is a quick and reliable right winger who can always find a way to squeeze past defenders and cross over from the right side. His speed is mainly what makes him such a threat on the attack, and he wouldn't hesitate to take a shot even with the smallest space available.

Bench
#14 GK: Stefan Ledo
AGE: 29 HEIGHT: 6'2'' | WEIGHT: 190 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Cranequin City [NPH] Image | BORN: Addausi, Abaja

Stefan Ledo is a current reserve player for the Abajan National Team.

#17 LB: Stephen Oyenusi
AGE: 29 | HEIGHT: 6'0'' | WEIGHT: 170 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Admiral Porcusces [AFT] Image | BORN: New Plymouth, Abaja

Though Stephen Oyenusi no longer starts often on the national team, he still can serve the team important things like his calmness and agility on the field. Oyenusi has been on the national for practically his entire pro playing career and so far has shown how well he can clear the ball and scare off attackers. He sometimes makes even the most important game-changing saves in a game with his defensive brilliance. He is pretty likely, though a getting a card.

#12 CB: Amanda Olukoni-Akintola
AGE: 21 | HEIGHT: 5'8'' | WEIGHT: 140 Pounds | GENDER: Female | CLUB: Carredington [ETN] Image | BORN: Kingston, Abaja

Amanda Olukoni-Akintola, or to shorten it, AOA, has learned a lot outside of her home, playing for Carredington in Ethane. She is a dominant presence on the defensive end of the field, and has a strong header. When on a 1v1 header battle, she's usually the one to win. Her long stride makes her jump ahead of others and isn't afraid of contact.

#19 RB: Bakari Dara-Hussein
AGE: 28 | HEIGHT: 6'2'' | WEIGHT: 180 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Abaja City FC [ABJ] Image | BORN: Buhayra, Abaja

Bakari Dara-Hussein would be a type of "goal-scoring defenseman." Though he continuously helps out on his team's half on the field, he'll sometimes push up the other end of the field during corner kicks and even some free kicks. He is the most likely Abajan player to score a goal through a header.

#13 LM: Delilah D’Shazhi
AGE: 22 | HEIGHT: 5'5'' | WEIGHT: 126 Pounds | GENDER: Female | CLUB: Harding FC [USD] Image | BORN: Ikeland, Abaja

It was a tough decision on who would take the starting LM spot: Delilah D'Shazhi or veteran Christopher Anekwe. Though she starts off on the bench, D'Shazhi is expected to help the Black Stars push forward through the qualifying rounds. She's extremely quick, and her skills on the ball set her apart from most. However, she isn't that strong, and can get knocked off of her running lane by bigger opponents and as a result can end up losing the ball.

#30 RM: Ahmad Abdullah
AGE: 25 | HEIGHT: 5'8'' | WEIGHT: 155 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Kitara Athletic [BNJ] Image | BORN: Kebauchi, Abaja

Ahmed Abdullah has matured quickly while playing both league football in the Banijan Soccer League and playing on the national team. He debuted his international football playing career in the World Cup 75 Qualifiers, where Abaja barely missed an opportunity to advance. Right now, Abdullah is the only Abajan player to show up internationally while playing for a Banijan club. He hopes that Abaja qualifies so that he could enter and play in Banija once more.

#11 CM: Aaliyah Abraham
AGE: 29 | HEIGHT: 5'9'' | WEIGHT: 145 Pounds | GENDER: Female | CLUB: Jazzville FC [ABJ] Image | BORN: Queens, Abaja

About time Aaliyah Abraham got selected to play for the national team, hm? Aged 29, Abraham is a very experienced midfielder who has been playing pro since she was 19 years old. She has a tough and determined grit to get the ball out of opponents possession and into her team's possession. She has a defensive mindset and pretty good ball control. However her passing is sometimes inaccurate, which is why she often opts for short passes.

#88 ST: Willis Saisi
AGE: 24 | HEIGHT: 5'10'' | WEIGHT: 165 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Carvi Albion [MRC] Image | BORN: Olulawi, Abaja

Willis Saisi is a player with extremely good ball control and knows (and isn't hesitant) how to move up the field on his own. His passes almost always reach his target. And his frantic moves on the ball can make a defender think twice before biting in for a tackle.

#31 LW: Serian Osopo
AGE: 24 | HEIGHT: 6'3'' | WEIGHT: 180 Pounds | GENDER: Male | CLUB: Oysterhaven Reds [BSE] Image | BORN: Ikeland, Abaja

Serian Osopo is much more likely to get an assist than a goal, even if he is wide open. He isn't the best finisher, but heknows how to pass accurately whether it's a short pass or a long pass. He quickly realizes opportunities for the team and create opportunities for himself and his teammates.

#4 RW: Yuri Atsi
AGE: 24 | HEIGHT: 5'6'' | WEIGHT: 130 Pounds | GENDER: Female | CLUB: Tobiasia City FC [TOB] Image | BORN: Menusa, Abaja

Yuri Atsi, the sister of team captain Alan Atsi and current forward for Tobiasia City, is a key reserve player due to how well she can cross, as well as her creating space for herself on the wing side in order to free herself to provide that cross.

Introduction
After a period of absence, due to the withdrawal of support for international football by the (as it was then known) GWFA, and the political strife surrounding the nation, Flavovespia finally returns to the international football scene. The Flavovespia Football Association, henceforth known as FFA, have spent the last 2 years preparing the nation and club teams for this moment. The nation will no doubt find it's first few tournaments tough, but the FFA are hopeful progression beyond the qualifiers will come sooner rather than later.

Kit
Flavovespia have gone with a relatively simple design that is reflective of the nations colour and new flag. The double V is incorporated as a design element across the top of the shirt. Predictably the home shirt is yellow, and the FFA have gone for a black away shirt with a white 3rd kit. The goalkeeper's kit (unpictured) is green with the double V as well, and the goalkeeper will use one of the 2 change kits in case of a clash.

Both home and away kits are registered with black shorts and socks, with a small amount of yellow trim on the cuffs. A reverse set, yellow with a little bit of black trim are registered as alternatives in case of a shorts and socks clash, thus the home and away shirt can be paired off with the default black or alternative yellow shorts and socks. The white 3rd kit will be with white shorts and socks, and is the choice if there is a clash with both the home and away kits, or Flavovespia has a kit clash with the home side and is playing in a hot climate.

Roster
The announcement of Nick Cole’s squad for the first ever international matches for Flavovespia has brought a lot of discussion from fans, pundits and other commentators across the nation. Defending Super League champions Stanmorn have 5 players in the 23-man squad, with Waldster and Marthorpe City responsible for another 3 each. With the line-up announced, we take a look at the 23 players who have made it in.

Name Age Position Number Club

David Meehan 28 GK 1 Bavingtor
Pretty much considered the undisputed top goalkeeper in Flavovespia currently. He signed for Bavingtor in 24AU, having been back-up at Waldster FC. He then stunned everyone with a string of amazing performances which took Bavingtor to a Super League title as a newly promoted team, an achievement never before seen.
Meehan is a great shot stopper, but that in itself isn’t why he’s considered Flavovespia’s number one. His distribution both from dead ball situations and live play is second to none, and many a counter attack were started by Meehan keeping his head up and spotting an outfield player in space to launch a devastating attack. With Flavovespia making their debut internationally, expect his danger to start a counter attack to appear against stronger opposition.

Ronald Maddox 27 DEF 2 Marthorpe City
Signed from Kings Lunsel in 23AU, Maddox rewarded his new side with some strong games to help them win their most recent league title in the same year. The left-sided left-footed defender has been a cornerstone of the Marthorpe City defence for a fair few years now, and no doubt hopes to help them return to their past glories, or at the very least international club football.
Typically Maddox is deployed as a left wing-back at club level, using his pace to cover off wingers and to get the ball downfield when in possession. Selected to be part of a 4 at the back squad, he will be taking a more defensive role in some games for Flavovespia. At the age of 27, Maddox will hope to use his peak years to try and lock down the #2 jersey for himself.

John Calvert 35 DEF 3 Apsbrooke
The oldest outfield player in the national team, but called up into the starting XI anyway. Calvert left Hadford Hill on a free transfer after many years as a tough rock in the defence. Many wondered if the centre back would call it a day there, but he went to Apsbrooke and showed just what he was made of, propelling the small town side to an impressive 5th in the Super League, and showing he still has at least another year at the top of his game.
Calvert is very much an old school centre-back. He isn’t one for fancy play at the back, his aim is to get the ball and get it away, and that he does very well. A commanding figure of significant strength and experience, he will use every part of that he can muster as he steps up for what could be his one and only international call-up.

Neil Wright 23 DEF 4 Stanmorn
From the Stanmorn academy ranks, Neil Wright has played a big part in the title-winning squad of Stanmorn. As an academy player, there is no greater feeling than lifting a trophy with a team that awarded a player their first professional contract.
Lining up usually in the centre of a 5-3-2 setup at Stanmorn, Wright will need to use his natural talent to deal with the change of setup he’ll experience. Wright is a strong defender, make no mistake about that, but also shows an unusual tenacity at the back in playing with the ball at feet, often linking up with the midfield in Stanmorn, and isn’t known to be a hoofball merchant. It will be interesting to see how with Meehan in goal and alongside Calvert how Wright will perform.

Stephen Shepherd 25 DEF 5 Waldster
A Waldster youth academy player, he broke into the first team at the age of 20, and was one of the regulars who made up the unbelievable Waldster squad of the early 20’s, managed by Nick Cole. Waldster haven’t quite hit the same heights in the last few years, but they are still a very formidable side, not least with the likes of Shepherd on the team.
Shepherd plays as a right-back or right wing-back at club level. During Nick Cole’s time, he’s played a more defensively minded right-back role, although the last 2 seasons under new management he’s been asked to overlap out wide. It’s likely he’ll be deployed defensively for Flavovespia, and his good positioning and intelligence, something younger defenders don’t always pick up should help him avoid shipping too many goals.

Henrik Jensen 31 MID 6 Langmere Green Rovers
Jensen has been at Langmere Green Rovers since 19AU, signing from a relegated Capton Club. Since then he’s been a key player for the solid Super League outfit, seeing the team win a few Gold Cups in recent years. The midfielder will look to try and use these years to cement a place in the squad at least for a few more tournaments.
Jensen was once described as “a centre-back who happens to play as a midfielder”. Often deployed in a defensive midfielder role, Jensen is always itching to chase down and tackle playmakers and creators of opposing sides, a key disruptor for his opponents. His main skill is in the tackling and stamina department, and expect to see him drop deeper if there are defenders making a move forward.

James King 28 MID 7 Stanmorn (vice-captain)
A one club player, King came through the Stanmorn youth setup, and it was a joyous moment when he lifted their first Super League trophy last year. Captain of Stanmorn, he has been given the vice-captain role of the national side, and has shown in the last few years why he is one of Flavovespia’s top midfielders.
King is a classic playmaker, his best attributes are in having the vision to spot the right pass and the technique to execute. King is very much one of the wiser heads both on and off the pitch, he plays with a delicate and mature touch that has served Stanmorn very well. He is set to play a slightly deeper regista role for Cole’s setup, one that he should be able to adapt to.

Jonathan Feld 24 MID 8 Marthorpe City
Signed from Loxthorpe Rovers as a teenager, Feld helped lead Marthorpe to the 23AU Super League title. Having shown that his potential could be realised into true talent, Feld has become one of the most well known midfielders of Flavovespia, and will be pleased to be in the first 11 at just 24 years old.
Feld can play on the left or on the centre, typically in a more attacking midfield role. He is strongest on his left foot but still has a good right foot. Cole’s system will most likely see him deployed on the left of an attacking front 3 behind a lone striker. Feld will be on the left flank with club teammate Maddox, and the attacking setup of the team should make defending tough with multiple attacking outlets.

Andrew Mason 27 ATT 9 Stanmorn
One half of Stanmorn’s brilliant attack that won the most recent Super League, Andrew Mason has been a staple of the Stanmorn attack since signing from Bavingtor in 23AU. Mason has played in a variety of attacking setups over the years, but is most often deployed at the front of the line, looking to get his head to balls in the box, and also to be a physical presence.
Mason’s best attributes are a fiercely accurate finishing from his head and foot. Not a striker who’s keen on mazy dribbles or fancy footwork, he is the stereotype of a poacher. Often posing a physical threat to the defence, expect him to be the target in a high ball approach, and look for him to lay off through balls in a ground attack.

Ramon Martin 29 ATT 10 Langmere Green Rovers
A long serving player for Langmere Green Rovers, signing in 18AU having not made it through the Waldster youth system to a professional contract with them, he’s become a popular player at the club. Martin’s thick facial hair and steely expression makes him look like a tough centre-back or a strong forward, but his looks are deceptive, he’s a quick striker, who can use pace as a way to break down the defence.
Martin is set to be deployed as more of an attacking midfielder than a true striker in Cole’s setup. The pace he possesses could pose a risk to the defenders, and he also has the vision to keep the play alive in the box, rather than rush the opportunity. With a lot of competition for places up front in the squad and the whole nation, he’ll be fighting hard to get the #10 jersey.

Steven Hall 25 MID 11 Hadford Hill (captain)
Captain of Hadford Hill, having joined from their youth ranks, and now captain of the national side, Steven Hall is undisputedly one of the best players in the entire nation. He’s turned down big money to stay at his childhood club, and is considered a great personality, on and off the field, perfect leadership material.
Hall perfectly plays the “Raumdeuter” role. A player with a brilliant right foot and a strong left foot, he drifts out wide on the right, just looking for the space. Then he tries to break clear to get in a shot or a cross, and his impressive goals and assists record is a testament to his ability to do both. Hall will hopefully play a pivotal role for the Flavovespian side in the next decade.

Conor Harrington 36 GK 12 Apsbrooke
When he left Waldster on a free transfer at the end of 24AU, it looked his career was in a swansong, even when Apsbrooke took a punt of him. Now, after some brilliant performances in 26AU, he’s been called up to the national side despite being 36 years old. He’s claimed he can go until he’s at least 40, although to do so in the national team is a big ask.
A very old school goalkeeper, don’t expect to see Harrington play out with the ball at his feet. He’s much more of a launch it down field type of keeper, focusing more on effective shot stopping and positioning, with his experience also giving the back line confidence when he’s on the pitch. He will also pair up with fellow veteran Calvert of Apsbrooke as well, the pair bringing a maturity that’ll help the younger players of the squad.

Patrick Cannon 33 DEF 13 Hadford Hill
A Hadford Hill defender for 6 seasons now since signing from Binclestead Wood, Cannon is a real defensive rock. A veteran player now, despite age taking toll on his pace, his positioning and strength can more than make up for that, and he’s always willing to get stuck in against the wingers of the opposition.
Cannon plays left-back, but is not at all attacking, and can slot in to the centre-back spot. Strength and tackling are his key attributes, and expect him to be brought on or used in games where Flavovespia are more content to sit back and try and defend instead of playing with attack from the back.

Mark James 29 DEF 14 Marthorpe City
A recognisable face in Super League football with his long hair and headband, Mark James has had an interesting career. A Marthorpe City youth player, he joined Waldster at the age of 23, but then rejoined Marthorpe City 3 years later. Since then he’s been one of the key defenders for Marthorpe, and has done well to get a national team call up.
A centre-back, James is a tall and strong defender. Not one for fancy footwork or dribbling, he employs a no-nonsense approach that Cole seems to favour. Team mate to Maddox and Feld, it will be interesting to see how they play in a setup that isn’t that similar to that of their club side.

Tony Gardner 23 DEF 15 Kings Lunsel
Coming from the youth ranks of Kings Lunsel, Gardner is recognisable with his distinctive ginger hair, and played an instrumental part of their title win in 25AU. One of the youngest players to be called up, Gardner will be happy to make the squad, and has potential to do so for many more years if he hits his peak.
A central defender officially, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder. Whilst his age doesn’t give him the experience and defensive skills of some of the team, he has relatively good skills on the ball for a defender. He could well be utilised in any game where Flavovespia look for more playing out of the back than aggressively launching long balls.

Stephen Moore 26 DEF 16 Loxthorpe Rovers
Signed 2 seasons ago from Rumlington Rovers, Moore has stepped up very well in the Super League and has been rewarded with a call up to the national team. With experience in a back 4, and playing as a more attacking right-back in that formation, Moore fits the bill of the squad setup, even if some may suggest he got somewhat fortunate to be called up.
Moore strongest attribute is probably his acceleration and pace. Outright tackling and crossing isn’t his forte, but he knows he can deal with those if he can outpace and opponent. Loxthorpe Rovers deploy a 4 at the back with defensive midfielders setup, so positional issues won’t be a problem for Moore. An interesting call-up certainly, this tournament could be make or break for his international career.

Simon Davison 27 MID 17 Waldster
Signed in 26AU from Vale by Waldster, Davison was a key player in the centre midfield of Waldster, as they narrowly fell short of a title. A Vale supporter, it was especially tough for Davison to see rivals Stanmorn lift the trophy. Nevertheless the midfielder will be pleased to be recognised as a talented player deserving of a call up to the national side.
Playing in the centre, distribution, passing and vision have been the key attributes of Davison’s talent. Not quite on the same level as King, Davison will still want to prove to be an effective substitute option, and could also feature in a change of formation for Flavovespia. In the prime of his career, Davison needs to prove himself to get as many caps as he can.

Jordaan Wolfson 31 MID 18 Kings Lunsel
Nicknamed “Moustache Maestro” by his club, Wolfson has been a part of Kings Lunsel since being a youth player, experiencing the success of the last decade and a bit with the side as a professional player and as a fan of the club he plays for. A tenacious midfielder, it pleased many to see him get a call up to the national team.
Another central midfielder, albeit more defensively minded than attackingly minded, Wolfson has good positioning and awareness to try and control the midfield battle. Jensen got the nod for the #6 jersey, but Wolfson is almost a like for like replacement, and expect him to come in at least a few times if rotation is a key part of the qualifying game plan.

Charles Winward 25 MID 19 Stanmorn
Winward was part of the title winning Stanmorn squad, a new signing from Butterfield Rovers FC. Starting almost all games, he made many key appearances, however some critics feel like his call up was more of a reflection on the success of Stanmorn than his talent, although others view that as a cynical verdict.
A left-winger, Winward would most likely slot in to the attacking midfield left position for the national team, but could be the first choice for a conventional left midfield position if a change in formation happens. Reasonably pacey, he’s good at getting in a cross and playing through balls, although unlike some midfielders nowadays, finishing is not his forte.

Thomas McDonald 34 ATT 20 Waldster
Striker for over a decade at Waldster, signing from Stanmorn in 16AU, part of the legendary 22AU triple winning side with almost a 1 goal per game ratio, McDonald is one of the most famous Flavovespian players of the last decade. Maybe he isn’t quite the top player he was now he’s reached 34 years old, but a call up for him was well respected by many.
McDonald always tends to play at the top either as a lone striker or in a pair. He’s not a massive creator, and is no longer particularly pacey, but his shooting technique is still second to none, and if given too much time on the ball, will absolutely punish the opposition defence. Expect him to receive some caps as a reliable experienced striker.

Guoliang Fu 29 ATT 21 St Astons City
Fu is definitely one of the most journeyed players of the national team, the only one to play not just in the 3 professional tiers, but the 2 semi-pro tiers, working his way up as a part-timer in his teens to signing for St Astons in 22AU from Sporting Towerhaite. Fu was a bright spark in St Astons disappointing season last year, and it will be interesting to see if he’s got the talent to stay in the national side.
Listed as an attacker, Fu is just as much as a winger than a striker. His favoured position is out wide on the left, such that he can cut in and drill the ball with his right foot. Likely to be an option in the 3 behind the striker for Cole’s setup, Fu could prove to be somewhat enigmatic for the national team.

Scott Coleman 22 ATT 22 Stanmorn
Coleman was once known for his long hair and photogenic looks, but winning the title for his beloved Stanmorn, where he came through the youth system was a dream come true for Coleman, only matched by a national team call up. The young striker has always been linked to other sides, but it remains to be seen it that ever comes to fruition.
Coleman is one of the fastest strikers in Flavovespia. His technique is slightly raw at the moment, but when he can create many one-on-ones, that doesn’t hinder his goalscoring record. He played alongside Mason in a front 2 for Stanmorn, but for the national side without a change of formation he’d probably drop into any of the 4 attacking options, albeit with a preference to play in the centre or the right hand side.

Nicholas Dobson 24 GK 23 Loxthorpe Rovers
Standing at 2 metres and 100kg, Dobson is a seriously imposing figure as a goalkeeper. Some have suggested his goalkeeping skills are simply down to being so large it’s hard to find a place to put the ball past him. The 3rd choice goalkeeper position was always going to be hard to fill, with as many as 8 of the starting 16 Super League keepers linked to a national team spot, but Dobson makes it in.
Unsurprisingly not agile, Dobson makes up for that with good positional skills, and a long throw and clearance. As 3rd choice keeper he is unlikely to start, but at 24 may still make the national team for future appearances.

Flavovespia was formally known as Greater Watford internationally, but Greater Waldster internally. Referring to Flavovespia as a continuation of it's former name is acceptable, but all statistics kept by me, such as caps and goals are starting afresh for Flavovespia.

Flavovespia's current year is roughly somewhere in the 2020's in terms of technology, so things like 5G, autonomous transport and more integrated automation and AI is present, but other than that is largely similar to modern day Earth. The team of Flavovespia and the population are all human. In terms of national culture, it is most similar to the United Kingdom, with the native language of Flavovespia being English.

The current year in Flavovespia is 27AU (27 After Unification), with BU (Before Unification) used for years before 0U. In terms of timescale, 0U is roughly analogous to 2000 in the real world, with 27AU around 2027 then in terms of technology.

Formerly the Republic of Greater Waldster, internationally known as Greater Watford. IC It's a long story (OOC I didn't like using real place names)

RP permissions: Your RP permissions are mine, short of death and career-ending injuries. If I can send off your players, you can send off mine. If your players can’t be booked, neither can mine. If I can rain a hail of meteors down on the city, so can you. Just make it funny/entertaining, if you don’t mind. ;)

Note: Saltsteadish surnames follow RL Netherlands Dutch conventions on surname prefixes: they aren’t capitalised when used in combination with first names or initials, but are capitalised in all other situations. For example, “Carle de Marħt” is correct, while “Carle De Marħt” is not; however, when the given name is not used, “De Marħt” is proper, while “de Marħt” is not.

Competitive statistics
First international:
Saltstead 0–2 Loynn (Bellator, DRK; BoF 65 matchday 1)
First win: Finland 0–1 Saltstead (Bellator, DRK; BoF 65 matchday 2)
First loss: Saltstead 0–2 Loynn (Bellator, DRK; BoF 65 matchday 1)
First draw: Saltstead 4–4 Acapais (Bellator, DRK; BoF 65 semifinal)
Biggest win: Saltstead 6–1 Frejo (Port Michael, SAL; WCQ 78 matchday 5)
Biggest loss: Saltstead 0–4 Starblaydia (Maneapolis, EQS; AOCAF LVI matchday 3)

The historic DNA of the Saltsteadish game has rested on a style best compared to a deadbolt, best described as a karela-esque style of patience and control. Great importance has been placed on midfielders to control possession and act as the first of two lines of defence, with attack limited to sporadic, opportunistic runs at moments of weakness. However, blending the Saltsteadish defensive tradition with a bolstered and emboldened attack to balance is the price (some) supporters are willing to pay to avenge a cycle which has left the realm united and bitter.

The shock appointment of a new Qusmi head coach has thrown the tried-and-possibly-true formula out the nearest window into the wastelands of Kryosis. Remaining true to the defensive roots of the Saltsteadish game has often been a demand of the Saltsteadish faithful, but the former KF Qastyr head coach has made it their mission to coax out the best attacking talents that have up to hence remained buried in the rough of the Såutstedisħ Mästerheid and the Saltsteadish youth system.

A federation in the far north, Omerica is a cosmopolitan maritime nation, famed for its environmental beauty, thriving black markets and love of a good drink. Omerica is a federal parliamentary republic with a semi-direct democratic system of governance. An influential country in international affairs, the nation ranks as one of the most politically and socially free states in the multiverse. The nation is noted for having some of the most friendly, compassionate and brash people in the multiverse, who enjoy high rates of economic, scientific and cultural development. The nation is rated as one of the least corrupt and least authoritarian in the world, with low rates of ignorance, obesity, political apathy and preventable death.

About the Incorrigibles
Association code: OME
Team nickname: “The Incorrigibles
KPB ranking: 46th (14.70)

Just like the history of the nation, the history of Omerican football has been rocky. The nation was one of fifty-six to début in Baptism of Fire 56, where the team made the knockout stage with an undefeated record before bowing out to Lons after extra time in the last 32. The Griffons subsequently floundered for several cycles, finishing below expectations in tournament after tournament and struggling to find their footing. But fortunes turned around during the Campionato Esportiva in the Sarian, where Omerica unexpectedly won their group and made the quarterfinals after defeating Yttribia. Despite falling to runners-up Nephara in a close match, the tournament marked a significant turn in fortunes: a bitter (and, to Osarians, infamous) third-place finish in the World Cup 73 qualifiers, two consecutive knockout stage qualifications and Round of 16 exits and—the nation’s crowning moment of glory—an upset qualification for World Cup 74, where the team scalped Flardania and nearly advanced to the knockout phase.

However, success proved short-lived. After boycotting CE XVI in Falatulu, the Omerican Football Federation found itself mired in a corruption and betting scandal. Combined with a riotous fanbase which had caused numerous bouts of destruction, the scandal dogged the team’s World Cup 75 qualifying campaign and ultimately brought the OFF to an untimely end, ordered dissolved by the Sessions Court of the Metropolitan Arrondissement and liquidated to cover the fines issued to its executives. In the aftermath of the scandal, the republican football associations, which had predated and existed parallel to the OFF, formed the United Republican Soccer Federation to take over the OFF’s functions and opted to indefinitely pull Omerica from international competition. Half a decade later, a new national team emerged to contest the Independents Cup and, after much internal debate, the World Cup with little success.
Staff
Manager: Anne-Sophie Groothuis
Officially the first manager to lead Omerica to a major international title after defeating Drawkland at the seventh Independents Cup, Groothuis has just one accomplishment left to notch before indisputably cementing her place as Omerica’s greatest ever manager: qualifying for the World Cup finals. Prior to her time with the national team, Groothuis led Club du 28 Mars to local success on the regional and national stage and comfortably sealed the New East Flemish side a berth as a founding member of Ligue.A. A flexible and disciplined tactician, Anne-Sophie is known to favour a moderately attack-minded approach that has brought 28 Mars four New Flemish and two Federal Championships in her stint at the club, but is unafraid to mix things up from time to time in order to keep opponents guessing.

For this World Cup cycle, the URSF has decided to modify the “Tour of Omerica” concept with the “Tour du Sud”. As with the previous two cycles, all of Omerican home matches will be hosted in a different venue, but—to redress past centralisation of Omerican internationals in one of two Anglophone republics—all will be held in one of the nation’s Francophone republics.

Port Emberian National Football Team

Image

Port Ember

Nickname: The Tridents

World Ranking: N/A

Style Modifier: +3

Formation: 4-4-2

Home Stadium: Waterstad International Stadium

The Port Emberian's national football team represents Port Ember in association football and is controlled by the Port Emberian Football Association, the governing body for football in Port Ember. Port Ember's home ground is the Waterstad International Stadium, located in the Waterstad Borough of Port Ember Megalopolis. The team is currently under the charge of Stuart Baker, who was appointed as Team Manager for the duration of 2018 - 2022.

Team History

This Port Emberian Football Team is unique in its history and situation compared to other nations. Due to the reason that Port Ember has not yet competed on the international level in football, the Port Ember Football Association (PEFA) made a controversial decision by not picking established club players for the first international team.

Instead, a Youth Program was launched, forming a large group of school children from the age of 14, whom underwent a 04 year training regimen under the tutorship of renowned international coaching staff. Four years later and the result is a young passionate team trained to international standards, instead of the internationally untested Port Emberian methods.

The aim of this enthuisiastic program was twofold:

- Create from scratch a young, energetic and passionate team to international standards, uninfluenced by the decaying and untested Port Emberian football standards, allowing them to grow in the intetnational scene, for many years to come due to their young age, maintaining consistency, team spirit and constant growth and development.

- Allow these young players to form part of the national clubs after their initial training and baptised world tournaments, allowing their experience and skills rub off on the new local talent, which in turn will transform the entire football industry for Port Ember in the long term.

The team has manages to win 8 of 10 total matches during the Baptism of Fire 70 tournament, and have reached third place overall. They have build a massive and passionate supporter base during the tournament.

Team Tactics

Prefered Formation: 4-4-2

Style Modifier: +3

The team has quite an unique playstyle, reflecting much on the genetics of the average Port Emberian. They prefer a fast, aggressive and hard game, playing to their benefits of being a athletic and powerfull race.

Their 'Signature Play' is an interesting one, which can almost be seen as a gamble. A possibly effective gamble however. They would bait the opposition to push far ahead to their goal area hard, to lure most opponent players into their half of the field. Thereafter the strong and aggressive defence would steal the possession from the opponents, and powerfully kick the ball deep to the other side of the field, where the Port Emberian strikers would use their athletisicm to chase down the ball in a counter attack, outrunning the majority of the opponents, and pushing hard until a goal is scored. It is due to this playstyle that the local sportswires have dubbed it a "Aggressive Counter Attack Style".

Backroom Staff

Team Manager: Stuart Baker.

Stuart Baker is appointed as the Team Manager / Head Coach, who was in charge of the Youth Program since its inception, giving him 5 years of experience with his young team. Before this appointment, he was the national coach for Braziliztan for 4 years, which is now a colony of Port Ember. He is passionate about the sport and even more so about his young team, refering to them as "his kids". He was critized by the media during the Baptism of Fire 70 Tournament for his perceived arrogance during Pre-Match Interviews, however he did apologise for this and appears more humble. He was praised alongside his staff and team to have ushered in a 'Social Revolution' which have caused the birth of Football Passion within Port Ember.

Assistant Head Coach: Connor Davies.

Connor Davies worked as the assistant head coach for Braziliztan for four years under Coach Stuart Baker, before moving over to the Port Ember Youth Program alongside Stuart Baker. He is a very technical coach, regarding the sport as a science instead of a sport. During the Baptism of Fire Tournament, the importance of bench players was realised, therefore Connor focuses mainly on developing the bench players during training days, while still filfulling his traditional assistant coach duties.

Defensive Coach: Daryl House.

Daryl House was the previous Head Coach of the Port Emberian club 'Waterstad Pirates', before joining the youth program in 2014. Many sports publications have praised his technical knowledge as a defensive coach, and many believes he is a possible future head coach in the making due to his keen eye and attention to detail. Due to the poor performance of the backline in the opening stages of the Baptism of Fire league, yet its quick recovery into a world class backline has placed the spot light on Daryl, with analysts feeling he needs to prove his worth, now more than ever.

Attacking Coach: George SinClaire.

George was the previous Head Coach of the Port Emberian club 'Gold Coast Raiders', before joining the youth program in 2014. Many sports publications have praised his technical knowledge as a attacking coach, and is well known for his passion and short temper, on and off the training field, regularly landing him in trouble with the law.

Goalkeeping Coach: Jonathan Peters.

George was the previous Head Goalkeeper (player) of the Port Emberian club 'Gold Coast Raiders', before joining the youth program in 2014. Many sports publications have praised his newly found talent as a coach instead of a player, allowing his students to gain valuable skills. He has received much acclaim due to the great performance that the team's goalkeepers have displayed in the Baptism of Fire.

Fitness Coach: Neil Strauss.

Neil Strauss was a former Mixed Martial Arts Sensei who have trained a dozen champions before joining the youth program in 2014. Many sports publications have praised his vast knowledge regarding human physiology, which he uses to optimise the fitness levels of his players, to almost miracle like levels. The Port Emberian side was clearly the fittest team in the Baptism of Fire, and Neil has received much acclaim for it. He is the 'Most wanted for an interview' in the fitness media at the moment.

Team Doctor: Dr Toby Curtiss.

Doctor Curtiss is a qualified medical doctor who specialises in sports injuries. He has vast medical experience, which he gained as a truama surgeon during his service with the Port Emberian Special Forces. He is well known as a brilliant doctor and as a 'no nonsemse hardass' when it comes to his work.

Massage Therapist: Sally Jones.

Sally Jones is a young and passionate massuese who is well known for posessing 'Magical Hands'. She has been with the team since the inception of the youth program and have been with the team during the baptism of fire, keeping the players fresh and ready for their games on such a tight schedule.

Physiotherapist: Dr Jolene Michels.

Dr Michels is an experienced Physiotherapist known to be extremely caring of the players in the teams, sometimes described as a 'real life empath'. She owned her own practice before joining the youth program at its inception. She workes hard during the Baptism of Fire ti ensure her players did not succumb from minor injuries, and kept them fit and healthy.

MANAGERIAL STAFF
Manager: Xander McDrew
McDrew has had a less than stellar few years in charge of the national team but he has at least one more campaign in front of him. A strong Copa Rushmori and he could continue on as coach for another World Cup qualifying. He would have to qualify to a World Cup to see that job stay intact, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

GOALKEEPERS

1 – Jacob Jingleheimer-Smitt – Blacklake Blues 118 Caps, 29 Years Old
The starter remains in goal for another campaign and now with over 100 caps to his name Jacob continues to be a strong netminder. As he has gotten older the calls for younger players to take up the mantel have risen, but no one has distanced themselves form the pack and young keepers aren’t exactly going bonkers either.
12 – Esteban Foh – X Island Marauders 6 Caps, 24 Years Old
Foh has continued to see the random starts in net, but he hasn’t exactly been begging to be started with his club form. He seems unlikely to ever take the number 1 jersey, and seems unlikely to see much of a chance to do so anytime soon.
24– Aysa Madison – Atlantea Hurricanes 0 Caps, 22 Years Old
The new third keeper hits her first Copa Rushmori roster, but seems unlikely to see much playtime. Like many keepers before her she seems to be too young to be the next starter, but also seems likely to be surpassed by a younger crew coming for the position.
DEFENDERS

2 - LB, Santiago Santiago – Mulhampstead (Apox) 13 Caps, 21 Years Old
The only new starter on the backline Santiago is the speedy Left Back that the team often looks for. A strong whipped cross can be expected, and darting runs for days from the Apox based fullback. He could be a stalwart on this team moving forward, and seems likely headed for a lot of caps over the years.
3 - CB, Jamie Fasnacht – Blacklake Blues 112 Caps, 0 Goals, 28 Years Old
One half of the center-back duo likely headed into their last campaign on the national team Fasnacht has seemed to lose some of the pace he possessed for much of his career, and has had to use his angles more in recent seasons and that has concerned coaching staff and fans for the past campaigns for club and country.
4 - CB, Edison Trueblood – Blacklake Blues 112 Caps, 1 Goal, 28 Years Old
Unlike his center-back partner Trueblood’s aerial threat has not been lost, but his partnership seems to be the biggest thing that earned him his job and moving forward he will likely be retiring when his longtime partner Fasnacht does so at the end of this upcoming campaign.
5 - RB, Daigo Coshan - Laketown Rangers 50 Caps, 24 Years Old
The young right back has had some strong outings in the past few years and seems likely to move inside after the upcoming qualifiers. He is more of a natural center back, but has some of the pace and positioning needed for a fullback, and that has sometimes caught him out for the national team but has also benefited the side on set pieces.
14- Victor Borja– Jottnar Kallsmudden (Buyan) 1 Caps, 21 Years Old
Borja joins the squad as a strong fullback option. A possibility at Right back in the upcoming campaigns, and an option on the left side as well he could see a few caps here and there as the traditional overlapping fullback on the bench.
21 – Desmond Cavanaugh – X Island Marauders 0 caps, 20 Years Old
The young defensive bench continues with Cavanaugh being the main option at center back. The X Island man is a strong aerial defender, and can be used on attacking set pieces. He can be beat for speed and that is something that has plagued him.
23- Aidan Foster – Atlantea Hurricanes 1 Caps, 21 Years Old
Foster can do a big of both positions as is often the case with the third defender. He is the rawest of the three bench options but could come in more likely at center back. You could see Foster and Cavanaugh get a start together as a look to the future in the upcoming qualifiers, but not likely in the Copa.
MIDFIELDERS

6- CDM, Randall Abl Bakr – Tintown Terrapins 128 Caps, 5 Goals, 27 Years old Captain
Abl Bakr has been named captain and continues to be a strong leader for this team. He seems to be drifting further back the field as he gets older, but he is still and impressive ball-winning defender. He has a knack for spraying the ball around the field, and could be a big part of the team’s success or lack thereof in the upcoming tournament.
9 - LM, Shiloh Morgenstern – Al Haxire 18 Caps, 3 Goals, 20 Years Old
The whole left side of the field has new starters as Shiloh Morgenstern gets the nod on the wing. The Al Haxire man will be playing for a move in the summer as he has been wanting to get out of his boyhood club for years. This tournament gives him a chance to go for that, and also adds to one of the youngest sides in Taeshan in a while.
10- CAM, Alson Figueroa - Fadron Flight 49 Caps, 7 goals, 24 Years Old
Figueroa has had a strong few years as the man pulling the offensive strings for the Knights, and will be a big part of the side at the front of the diamond. A strong left foot has seen quite a few assists for the side over the years, and now with the addition of another strong left-sided player the team has a lot of good options to attack defenses.
11 - RM, Geoffrey Klingenberg - FC Brimstone (APX) 97 Caps, 8 Goals, 26 Years Old Vice-Captain
Klingenberg is now Vice-Captain and with that roll he has added more defensive capabilities to his game. He has had strong performances for club and country, and likely will look to add some silverware to his cabinet. He will also be getting closer to his 100th cap in this campaign.
15 – Elaine Mathieu – Mierton Manatees 2 Caps, 21 Years Old
A strong left-footed option on the bench is another new player to the national team. Elaine has had a strong few seasons with Mierton and will likely look to continue to impress and possibly push for some starts in the upcoming seasons.
17- Sahler Moon – Real Atlantea 20 Caps, 1 Goal, 27 Years Old
The main wing option on the bench Sahler seems likely to be passed over for any opening starting positions by the Jackson and Hirahito duo, but will likely get upwards of 50 caps over the next few seasons as a great option off the bench.
18 – Nycolas Jackson – Willow Street Pirates (Schottia) 12 Caps, 1 Goal, 17 Years Old
Jackson pushed as a 17-year old to be the starter on the Left wing but fitness concerns and a recent move to Schottia have him coming off the bench. 10 caps at 17 is nothing to scoff at and he will be likely gunning for a lot more of those and getting in the all-time leaderboard by the end of his career.
19 – Orson Vanderbilt – Real Atlantea 1 Cap, 25 Years Old
Vanderbilt seems a weird inclusion to still be on the team but he is a good locker room guy. He has helped some of the younger players adapt to the responsibilities, and is one of the better friends of the midfield duo of Klingeberg and Abl Bakr.
20 – Yoshimi Hirahito- Cornellians (Schottia)- 2 Caps, 16 Years Old
Hirahito seems poised to get a few caps in his first season with the national team. A destroyer if the national team has ever needed one he can push for starts and will likely spell Abl Bakr. He could even push to take that position and possibly push Abl Bakr to Center-back by the end of his national team career.
22 – Wallace Kepler – Tintown Terrapins 6 Caps, 24 Years Old
Kepler like Vanderbilt seemed like a weird inclusion, especially because unlike Abl Bakr he doesn’t shine on a relatively pedestrian team. With all the young blood on the side he seems unlikely to push for minutes, but could get some mop up duty in lieu of the younger kids.
STRIKERS

7 - RS, Wilhelm Nkitilina – Atlantea Hurricanes 4 Caps, 1 Goals, 18 Years Old
From not even on the 24 to starting Nkitilina has surpassed Silian Cantebury and now partners Abriel Torres. Many thought Torres making the starting lineup a year ago was shocking, the tall Forward from Atlantea now surpasses even that.
8 - LS, Abriel Torres - Cloudsedale Flyers (Equestrian States) 34 Caps, 8 Goals, 23 Years Old
Torres is a speedy attacker and knows how to get in behind. His rise from relative obscurity and move to EQS lead him to go from nobody, to consistent starter and now will look to lead the attack as the elder attacker in a very young front two.
13 – Miles Snavely - Laketown Rangers 221 Caps, 126 Goals, 36 Years Old
Snavely has decided to give it at least one more campaign and while he is by no means a 90 minute national teamer he does have his use as a starter in slower games, or as a deadly threat off the bench in needed moments.
16 – Silian Cantebury – Mierton Manatees 19 Caps, 1 Goal, 24 Years Old
Cantebury should have a fire lit under him with the arrival of Nkitilina but we will see how the elder striker takes to the youngster moving past him so quickly. If he doesn’t step up it seems likely he won’t even make the next squad with players like Elmo Brubaker waiting in the wings.

Manager - Rabbie Travers - 53 years old
Travers takes the reigns from Godefroy Abascal and will set about getting the All Greens back on track. The biggest change Travers has instituted is a larger focus on the team's mental preparedness. As such, Travers has added a Psychologist to the team staff. Beyond that, Travers has experimented with a return to the classic 3-5-2 during the team's pre-qualifying camp. The main reason for this has been the overload of talent in the left center-midfielder position.

Darmen will alternate between the counter-attack and possession oriented football. When counter-attacking, play will likely begin with the defensive-midfielder winning the ball and making an outlet pass to one of the outside midfielders. While not out-and-out wingers, they have many of the same qualities and will use their pace to make their way down the touch-lines before crossing into the box. The strike partnership will always be defined as having one target man and one poacher. Atypically, it is the target man who will score the majority of goals, while the poacher and potentially a midfielder will take shots should any subsequent chances present themselves. However, if either of the outside midfielders are stopped before they can make their crosses, Darmen's chances of attacking will disappear for the near future as the team regroups into its defensive formation.

When playing with possession, it is the goal of the Darmeni midfield to lull their opponents to sleep by stringing together large sums of passes. Against highly ranked sides, sequences of 20-30 passes being strung together before the ball even enters the final third are common. Against lesser ranked opponents, its not unheard of for the team to string together 40-50 passes before going forward to attack the goal. Additionally, any of the Darmeni midfielders may choose to show off an individual skill, for instance they might hold the ball loosely in front of them, inviting an opposing player to make a tackle, before attempting to nutmeg that player as they arrive. Such antics are rare however when facing tougher opponents. While dominating the possession can often frustrate the opposition and cause them to lose concentration, it can just as easily make the All Greens fall asleep themselves and become vulnerable to the counter-attack. Either way, it is almost a certainty that one of the goalkeepers will be called into action, it's only a question of which one.

Defensively, man-to-man marking of the main attacking opponents is the preferred method of limiting the amount of saves the Goalkeeper is needed to make. The defensive-midfielder operates almost like a sweeper, only located in front of the back line rather than behind it. On corners and free-kicks, Darmen will exclusively mark their opponents man-to-man, zonal marking is considered too unreliable.

Team Roles
Captain: Alberich Goldschmidt
Vice-Captain: Silver Abbey
Left Corner: Alberich Goldschmidt
Right Corner: Alberich Goldschmdit
Penalties: Craig Blackwood
Free-kicks: Alberich Goldschmidt

Team Personality
The Darmeni team will never argue with the referee. Indeed, if anything needs to be brought to the attention of the referee it will be done by either the Captain or Vice-Captain in a respectful manner (or to the fourth-official by the Manager). With regards to foul/dirty play, the Darmeni team will not provoke, or retaliate against any opposition player. Darmeni's expect each team to keep to itself and deal with its own trouble makers; any opposition player who attempts to prevent a conflict by pushing or pulling a Darmeni away from the scene will be promptly told off, as that is the duty of the Darmeni Captain.

Nonetheless, Darmen will play in a relatively aggressive manner. Tackles will be conducted in a way which ensures the opponent ends up on the ground, but causing injury will be avoided as much as possible. On set pieces, Darmenis will stand their ground and will not be easily pushed around, they will not however engage in hugging. In fact, if any opposing player tries to push past them, it is not uncommon for the Darmeni player to feign resistance before simply stepping aside and watching as the opposing player stumbles past on their way to ground. This occasionally backfires however, as the referee may mistake the incidence as having been a foul in the box.

World Cup Qualifiers Squad Announced

Image

by the editors

With the Baptism of Fire behind us and the nation's interest piqued in football, Bekir Altingunes and his trusty assistant Senol Tarimcioglu announced the national teams squad for the World Cup Qualifiers. While the selection of players will be the same as the ones who went to the BoF, we project some changes to the starting XI based on rumours coming from the national teams camp. The kits for the national team were revealed to be the same as the BoF kits:

Here is our editorial staff's run down of the key figures among the (admittedly small) staff of the national team and the players who will be tackling our first ever qualification campaign:

Image

Coaching Staff:

Manager: Bekir Altingunes
Age: 44
Bio: A surprise appointment, given that two managers from the Superleague were expected to be appointed. Though there is suspicion that some kind of pressure was exerted by the government to get Bekir Altingunes this job. He demonstrated that he was more than a political hire with a more than adequate showing at the BoF, he was known to be very disappointed by the team's exit and considered his position, but returns for the qualifiers. He is known to favour the 4-2-3-1 formation and has stated that he would prefer the team to enter the qualifiers with a positive and aggressive system, intending to utilise the firepower upfront.

Assistant Manager: Senol Tarimcioglu
Age: 59
Bio: A statistician by trade, he was the director of football at league champions Hisar FK. His analysis of the players in preseason is said to have led to the construction of the league's best defence as well as an offence that had enough goals in them to lead them to the inaugural title. His hand is seen in many of the selections, with factors such as age, appearance and even raw talent, being ignored for the sake of fitting Altingunes's scheme. He will be hoping that with a larger sample size provided by the qualifiers that the system will work well enough for him to have the chance to finesse it.

Players:

Goalkeepers:

1. Saban Inekci (Hisar FK) Caps: 4
Age: 28
Positions: GK
Bio: The starting goalkeeper was having an excellent Baptism of Fire prior to the concussion he suffered in a match against Saciu. As it was revealed to be more severe than initially feared he was held out of the national team's remaining matches. A solid handler of the ball who isn't prone to making mistakes he will be a solid pair of hands between the sticks. Bekir Altingunes will likely be wondering what might have been had he been available to him in the quarter-final match against West Phoenicia.

12. Iskender Nur (Altin Akademisi) Caps: 4
Age: 18
Positions: GK
Bio: The young goalkeeper was a surprise inclusion in the BoF squad and at times looked like he would be bumped down to third choice. Having had 3 amazing games, he then was given the lions share of the blame for the defeat on penalties to West Phoenicia. Bekir Altingunes' continued faith in the youngster is said to primarily come from the assistant manager Senol Tarimcioglu, who is a big advocate for the goalkeeper and has even pushed for him to assume to mantle of starter. This will be an interesting sub-plot of the qualifying campaign especially since the manager is known to be slightly skeptical of the keeper's abilities.

23. Hasan Kocaeli (Demirspor) Caps: 1
Age: 39
Positions: GK
Bio: The 39 year old may well be considered the best goalkeeper of the trio in the national team considering he spends most of his time at club level behind an abjectly awful defence but manages to keep them competitive. He made one 45 minute appearance in the BoF where the manager demonstrated more faith in him as the de facto backup than the actual backup. He acts as a player-coach with specific responsibility for the keepers group and the defence.

Defenders:

2. Ozbek Sarikaya (Uryanspor) Caps 8 Goals: 0
Positions: DL
Age: 30
Bio: Despite initial struggles in the BoF Ozbek really found his feet in the national team's system, rewarding Bekir Altingunes' faith in him at a time when another manager might have considered pulling him to give an opportunity to a younger player. The mental side of his game is his great strength as his anticipation allows him to make up for some of his physical limitations.

3. Eyup Mustafa (Almat JK) Caps: 2 Goals: 0
Positions: DC, DR
Age: 26
Bio:A member of the team of the year, Eyup Mustafa played both as a centre back and a right back for the Demir club Almat JK. He had 2 limited opportunities in the BoF, but Bekir Altingunes had clearly felt that he offered a better partnership with Osman Hasanoglu who will be starting alongside him. He will need to make the most of the opportunity presented to him.

4. Osman Hasanoglu (VC) (Hisar FK) Caps: 8 Goals: 0
Positions: DC
Age: 29
Bio: Half of the nation's most successful centre-back pairing in the Superleague, his solid play ensured his club won the inaugural Superleague title. He had a couple of games where he struggled during the BoF, or at least didn't excel, but on his day he was the best member of the starting back four. The former mechanical engineer will be relied upon to use his tactical familiarity to assist his new partner in Eyup in acclimatising to his starting role and his leadership is reflected in his new role as Vice Captain.

5. Gokdeniz Dag (Uryanspor) Caps: 8 Goals: 0
Positions: DR
Age: 23
Bio: Despite some initial concern about his ability to adapt to the tactic that Bekir Altingunes employs, but he was an incredibly solid performer at the BoF. Aside from the first game he was the source of virtually none of the defensive issues that came up for the squad (rare though they were). Opposing players will have a hard time making any significant impact so long as he anchors the right side of the defence.

13. Metin Boz (Uryanspor) Caps: 3 Goals: 0
Positions: DC
Age: 28
Bio: Uryanspor captain and member of the team of the year Metin Boz has had a very good season Marshalling the second best defence in the Superleague. His three appearances at the BoF showed he can cope at this level but he clearly hasn't shown the management of the national team that he can handle starting duties yet. He is likely to be primary replacement for either fo the starting centre-backs.

15. Tuna Rustemoglu (Hisar FK) Caps: 8 Goals: 0
Positions: DC
Age: 35
Bio: The captain for the BoF finds himself relegated to the bench after a series of mishaps that put the team into worse positions than it needed to be, especially during the period where Saban was unavailable. While he will still provide critical assistance from the bench he will now be occupying a player-coach role alongside Hasan Kocaeli given the success of that system with the keepers and the lack of funds for a full set of staff for the team.

18. Beyhan Enver (Almat JK) Caps: 1 Goals: 0
Positions: DL, DR
Age: 24
Bio: The squads depth at both full back positions is used to being his sides only outlet on the left side of the pitch at club level. However in his one appearance for the national team at the BoF he was able to perform very adequately justifying his place in the team. He will likely be called upon slightly more as the qualification campaign is likely to be substantially longer.

20. Yildiray Sabuktiginoglu (Kilicspor) Caps: 1 Goals: 0
Positions: DC, DL, DR
Age: 24
Bio: Bio: The star on a side that struggled, Yildiray Sabuktiginoglu is largely credited with the survival of Kilicspor in the Superleague. Providing an authoritative presence in a team that lacked both quality, cutting edge and leadership. A surprise pick, Altingunes specifically referenced his team's struggles at club level as valuable experience and the fact that the team managed to escape from relegation despite being bottom before the cup break clearly drew the attention of the national team's staff. He is unlikely to see very much playing time, but he did make one appearance at the BoF.

Midfielders:

6. Atilla Acar (Demirspor) Caps: 3 Goals: 0
Positions: MC
Age: 25
Bio: Atilla Acar was not a flashy performer in a very offensive 4-2-4 system run at Demirspor. He is athletic, has great stamina and is easily recognizable with his long black hair and beard. Very capable of delivering pin point passes over long distances. He showed enough in his 3 appearances for the national team at the BoF for Bekir Altingunes to replace Hakan Diren who disappeared and waned at times during the tournament.

7. Tayyar Ozel (Demirspor) Caps: 8 Goals: 2
Positions: AML, AMR, AMC
Age: 27
Bio: The assists leader in the Superleague, Tayyar Ozel can play anywhere in attacking midfield and is a two-footed danger who plays as a hybrid winger/inside forward at Demirspor and is likely to play in that role for the national team down the left side of the field. A speedy and intelligent player who has a keen awareness of almost everything around him on the field. He acquitted himself very well in the BoF grabbing 2 very good goals as he was consistently the better performer on the wing.

8. Yusuf Ihsanoglu (Hisar FK) Caps: 8 Goals: 1
Positions: MC, DM
Age: 28
Bio: Yusuf acted as a very effective screen for the defence during the BoF and was the far more consistent of the midfield pivot. He will have to adapt to having a much more energetic partner in midfield, but will benefit from him being defensively more capable than Hakan Diren. He will need to continue to provide much needed support to Ertan Renda as the team progresses through these qualifiers.

9. Caner Turan (Tashkentspor) Caps: 5 Goals: 4
Positions: AML, AMR
Age: 21
Bio: A standout performer whenever he got on the field during the BoF he has finally got the approval of the management team to be the starting right-winger on the team after the previous incumbent didn't wow people at the BoF. He is described as an electrifying player and has shown as much in his limited action for the national team and will look to build his reputation through these qualifiers.

10. Ertan Renda (C) (Elektriklestirmespor) Caps: 7 Goals: 4
Positions: AMC, MC
Age: 26
Bio: Ertan Renda is something of an odd player. He isn't particularly fast, nor is he especially technically gifted and he doesn't really show any particular flair or spark when he's playing, but his successful season at club level and his amazing showing at the BoF showed that he gets the job done. Whether that job is providing service to the person leading the line or being the first line of defence pressing when the ball is lost. His short stature and lack of physical attributes would normally impede a players ability to thrive in such an offensively orientated system, but he has shown that he can compete at both international and league levels.

16. Metin Aytacoglu (Tashkentspor) Caps: 1 Goals: 0
Positions: AMC
Age: 24
Bio: Metin Aytacoglu was the star out of a quintet of electricians in the midfield for Tashkent. He will be taking up the backup spot to Ertan Renda, while a more naturally gifted footballer than Ertan, he finds himself on the bench in favour of the Altingunes' preferred attacking midfielder. He made a single appearance at the BoF where he didn't hurt his chances of seeing the field.

17. Hakan Diren (Manat FK) Caps: 7 Goals: 0
Positions: MC
Age: 32
Bio: The captain of the Superleague runners-up Manat FK, while he will disappointed not to have won the inaugural season he's reported to be excited for the opportunity to showcase what he can do on the international stage. A crisp passer of the ball and a threat from set pieces, he showed that he could thrive at the international level, however concerns about his physical fitness were well founded and probably led to his replacement by Atilla Acar as the starting midfielder.

19. Tekin Yavuz (Elektriklestirmespor) Caps: 8 Goals: 0
Positions: AMR, AMC
Age: 30
Bio:Tekin Yavuz was named to the Superleague team of the year and was a key player in Elektriklestirespor's run to the Vizier's Cup final and eventual victory. He benefited from having a 6'5 targetman to aim for in the box at club level and struggled to adapt to the quick strikers that Bekir Altingunes preferred in the BoF. He often veered between completely invisible and solid contributions, but at the end of the day Caner Turan offered more in his appearances from the bench.

21. Berkin Batuk (Elektriklestirmespor) Caps: 2 Goals: 0
Positions: MC
Age: 27
Bio: The Vizier Cup winner and tireless engine in midfield Berkin Batuk is unlikely to see much action. That being said his presence is a sign of how good a season he had, especially during the cup run that led to his teams victory. Something of a set piece specialist, if the team should find itself one down with 10 minutes to go they may throw him on so he takes any free kicks that he can customarily smash into the back of the net. Otherwise an energetic if slightly undisciplined midfielder who made a couple of very capable appearances at the BoF.

Attackers:

11. Vatan Ercetin (Demirspor) Caps: 8 Goals: 7
Positions: ST, AMC
Age: 22
Bio: The Superleague's top goalscorer last season, scoring a prolific 19 goals in 22 appearances. A classic line leading striker, always playing on the last man, always trying to use his natural pace to get the time to finish. He took the starting position under a cloud of suspicion as to whether he would be able to conduct himself in the role of striker, but managed to show why Bekir Altingunes put his faith in him.

14. Ismail Burhan (Manat FK) Caps: 2 Goals: 2
Positions: ST
Age: 23
Bio: Ismail Burhan was expected to be the top goalscorer in the Superleague this season gone by, however this was thwarted by one goal. Ismail will provide direct cover for the person who beat him to the title of top goalscorer. The pair are incredibly similar in style, though Ismail is considered a more complete footballer when compared to Vatan Ercetin. Ismail was relegated from being the primary replacement for Vatan after a disastrous performance in one of the games he played in relief for Vatan.

22. Mehmet Karaman (Tashkentspor) Caps: 4 Goals: 2
Positions: ST
Age: 29
Bio: Mehmet Karaman had a season that would have looked more than passable if it weren't for the fact that he came fourth in the goalscorer's rankings. His 12 from 22 in a system that is almost identical to the national team's means his selection as a reserve player was a no brainer. Intelligent off the ball and strong on it, if he is called upon he will provide a strong challenge to almost any defence he comes up against. He is now considered the priority replacement for Vatan after making the most of his limited action in the BoF.

The projected starting XI is much the same as the one that took to the field most often in the BoF, with only 3 changes, which Bekir Altingunes must be hoping will provide some alleviation of the issues that cropped up during the Quarter-Final exit at the BoF:

The Allied States of Polkopia
National Football Team

The Allied States of Polkopia, or commonly known throughout the multiverse as Polkopia, is set to return to the World Cup after a relatively disappointing performance in the previous World Cup after having failed to qualify for the World Cup despite several strong performances from the team throughout qualification. After narrowly missing out on qualification last cycle, the team is determined to qualify for the World Cup to make their first appearance in the tournament since the 74th World Cup and do their nation proud. Manager Vitali Zorić has called up an entirely new squad to prep for the team, noting how his decision to keep the same squad for the previous two editions was a huge error and was one of the main reasons that Polkopia failed to qualify last cycle. While some of the veterans have been kept in place in order to bring experience and maturity to the relatively young Polkopian side, the majority of the Polkopian team for this World Cup have not made appearances for the international team, and many Polkopians have expressed their concern about the overall cohesiveness of the team lacking, as many of these players have not yet played with one another on the same team. It has been a legitimate concern among many avid sports fans throughout Polkopia, with some going as far as to call for Zorić's resignation despite his incredible success with the team in recent cycles.

Home/Away Kits

Image
These kits were made courtesy of Red Blackiland

The Polkopian kits that are to be used for the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches are made by Meski Sports who are no longer actively supplying kits, however head coach Vitali Zorić expressed his desire to have his team wear the same kits used by the Polkopian team during the 74th World Cup in San José Guayabal and Valladares, as well as the most recent World Cup. Tradition is well-engrained in Polkopian culture and Tedesco doesn't shy away from it. In fact, he embraces the kit and cites it as some of the reason why the squad performed so well last tournament.

National Anthem--"Hear Our Voices Commonwealth"
Region—Atlantian Oceania
Nickname--since the end of the 1960's the National Team has been known as "The Bees", a period when the team's uniforms consisted of alternating black and gold hoops. While the bee is an element on the coat of arms of the Commonwealth—a long accepted heraldic symbol of industriousness--the association was actually a reference made in an Italian newspaper game story when the senior team was wearing the hooped shirts, referring to the BP team as il Bombi (the bumblebees) for their perseverance and swarming tactical play.

Colors--Black & Gold (while they are just 2 of the 5 main colors on the flag of Baker Park--Blue, Red and White are the others--black & gold have been closely associated in the nation's consciousness as representative of the country since its founding.)

style--+2.10
Formation--3-4-1-2
KPB—34.79 (12th, current to post WCQ 83)

The Commonwealth of Baker Park National Team is coming off their best finish in a regional tournament and have succeeded in making their fourth consecutive World Cup Finals.

Trevor Richmond has stepped aside from his role as Manager of the National side; he leaves with all the relevant records in the history of the sport in Baker Park, most NT matches (95) & most wins (49) in a career that has spanned 12 years. His overall record is 49 wins against 26 defeats and 20 draws.

Pamela Scott takes charge of the National Team senior squads, and unlike the previous two qualification cycles, there will be a smaller player pool and only one playing unit, which will be made up from combinations of the 34 men & women included; almost two thirds of the current pool (21) are products of the FAC Development Charter Program established 12 years ago to identify and train the Commonwealth's most promising talent.

Roster - World Cup Qualifiers

After the abandonment of their homeland, the Sari people live on a small, cramped island largely dominated by the sprawling metropolis of the capital, Beaumont. Standard of living is poor, and the national football team - once ranked as high as 17th in the multiverse - saw almost all it's funding slashed. Having not competed in the World Cup for many editions, the billionaire widow of a former fishing tycoon founded a football academy for impoverished girls in the Wycliffe district of Beaumont - the poorest ward in the city. After agreeing to self-finance, the girls of the football academy have been granted permission to represent New Saria on an international basis.

The team play a 4-3-3 with a false nine. They usually play a possession based game, playing out from the back and utilising a deep-lying playmaker in CDM. With Samson, a tall and strong player, he is usually expected to hold the ball up and offload to his wingers.

Schiavonia World Cup 83 Squad

Postby Schiavonia » Sat Jul 27, 2019 1:57 pm

Schiavonia announce their squad for World Cup 83 Qualifying

Schiavonia’s roster for his competition is based on whoever or whatever Isla Llewelyn could find, using her very limited knowledge of Schiavone and World Cup history. Some of it might make sense. Others... who knows.

First up, some reading Isla found...

A GUIDE TO SCHIAVONE PLAYING POSITIONS

Schiavone football teams generally play in a 4-3-3 formation, but the different positions are not always referred to in normal terms. The goalkeeper (GK) and centre-backs (CB) are as normal, but the rest are not so clear cut.

The left-back (LB) and right-back (RB) are very important in attacking, and generally one attacks down the wing while the other one comes in and covers as a third centre back.

Ball winner (MB) is a midfield position that does exactly what you think. They sit in midfield to protect the defence and win the ball back for the team.

A distributor (MD) is a player with very good passing skills, and can switch play or unlock a defence with one pass, but can keep it simple if the situation requires it.

The creator (MC) is a player who runs at defenders with the ball before either shooting or, more often, laying it off for someone else to have an effort on goal. They are good at attracting defenders and so making space for team mates.

The runner (FR) is a player who can run away from defenders - either through pace or skill - and make chances for themselves and others with this advantage.

The strength (FS) is what most people would call the big man (or woman) up front. Good at holding off players, and generally decent in the air.

Finally, the finisher (FF) is a player who has an uncanny knack of being in the right place at the right time to stick the ball into the goal with an uncanny regularity.

So there you have it. A guide to the Schiavone style of playing football. Hope that was helpful.

Lovely stuff. So who will be representing this team? And what do we know about them, considering we’ve not yet heard their stories? Well, some further reading and adventures you’ve not read yet helped her get a team together...

TEAM MANAGEMENT / PLAYERS

GOALKEEPER
1) Viliaka O'Connor (Male, age 47 [Captain])
Home: Jlinal, Vilita

Viliaka is half Vilitan and, as a result, ages noticeably slower than the rest of the squad. Indeed, Viliaka made his debut as a 17-year-old during Schiavonia’s World Cup 68 campaign. How does that even work!? Captain for Schiavonia during their last foray into international football, Viliaka makes a return to play in goal for the new Sloths team, and will take a leading part in managing the team.

DEFENDERS
CENTRE BACKS
11) Isla Llewelyn (Female, age 15)
Home: New Cefn, Krytenia

The head of the SFF will also be playing centre-back, as there were two of these listed in the guide to Schiavone playing positions, and therefore the other one can help. Had very little interest in football until about three months before this qualifying campaign began, but is suddenly finding herself putting a team together to play at the highest level.
12) Robin (Gelding, age 8)
Home: Busukuma, Banija

Robin is a horse from Banija, whom Isla Llewelyn met on the way to the World Cup Qualifying Draw. Knowing that Equestrian States were co-hosting, she misunderstood that Banijan horses were not the same, and thus Robin will be plodding around eating grass and hopefully getting in the way of opposition attacks. Isla thought that having more legs might make up for her lack of ability alongside, and she also feels like they have a connection.

LEFT BACK
15) Garu Redman (Male, age 20)
Home: Aalemark, Semarland

Grandson of the only Garundi-Schiavone player to play outside of Schiavonia, Kalko Ramao, the family name changed to reflect the unusual red skintone of his people.

RIGHT BACKS
16) Gregory (Male, Age 4)
Home: South Covello

Stemming from a conversation at the World Cup draw with the delegation from South Covello claiming that goats are better than horses, Isla decided to see if this was true by finding Gregory and putting him in the team, too. Little expectation on his performance.

MIDFIELDERS
BALL WINNER
21) Geisenfried Dice (age 8 years and above)
Home: Geisenfried

Isla read about the infamous Melmond Fried Dice in the history books about the World Cup, and couldn’t really figure out what they were. So she ordered some dice from a nation with “fried” as a syllable in their name. Next best thing, right?

DISTRIBUTORS
22) A box of eggs (age 1 week)
Home: Dewi’s Convenience Store, New Cefn, Krytenia

Apparently, an egg famously beat NEWI Cefn Druids in a practice match once. So a box of twelve should be twelve times better, especially if they’re from historical Druidan lands.

CREATORS
23) Simeone di Bradini (Male, age 23)
Home: Jhanna, Starblaydia

Not the original Starblaydi hero, but a young man who enjoys historical re-enactments. And changed his name to his favourite historical figure. As you do.

FORWARDS
RUNNERS
31) Callum O'Connor (Male, age 13)
Home:Jlinal, Vilita

Viliaka's young son, likes running around a lot and playing football with friends, so he thought he might give his young lad a run out. And, looking at the line up, he will not be the worst player on the team.

STRENGTHS
32) A jar of pickles (age 3 months)
Home: Dewi’s Convenience Store, New Cefn, Krytenia

Because Isla read about their legend, but doesn’t have a clue what a Giant Zucchini is. Picked as a strength because of how difficult the kid is to remove.

FINISHERS
33) Alan Knobjockey
Home: Cathair, Audioslavia

Answered an advertisement for the next Alan Belmore, a little known historical goalscorer from three centuries ago. Responded with the name Alan Bellend, but when he found out this was for Schiavonia, he changed his last name accordingly

The lower numbers tend to be first choice in each position, but if you're picking a team for me, don't be afraid to include a few who are not. Well, once we learn who they are. Set pieces are taken by the distributor, apart from penalties (and some direct free-kicks) which are taken by the finisher.

This squad will, of course, grow as our story develops. Any potential additions are welcome.

Home will be the St. David’s Comprehensive School Playing Fields in New Cefn, Krytenia, until the story develops into anything otherwise. Capacity is as many as we can fit around the pitch.

Kits - at this moment in time - will be the original World Cup 26 Schiavonia kits produced by Ediraf. Almost 230 years ago.

ImageImage

Last time...
Schiavonia re-started in international football with a population of just 700 and two clubs, but have now expanded to almost 9,000 with additions to their population from the nation of Garundia (red-skinned primitives who have unknown links to the original Schiavonia, their homeland was destroyed by a volcanic eruption) and a Schiavone ethnic population from the former Cafundéu. One of Schiavonia's original 46 islands then emerged from the ocean between Audioslavia and Thatius, thus giving the new Schiavone population - which had outgrown its tiny island home - a new place to live.

...but not any more. Though there will be flashbacks. This time… we’re still learning. Keep up with the RP!

What else can we tell you about Schiavonia? The people are very friendly (sometimes, too friendly for their own good, and it can lead to gullibility.) They are incredibly honest, peaceful (apart from the Garundi players, who used to be noticeable by their surnames ending in two different vowels, though they are now also called things like Redman) and play as fairly as possible (e.g. deliberately missing penalties if they believe that they have been awarded them incorrectly). They love a celebration. They live(d) on a small island with a pleasant climate, though now they are just a disparate bunch of people and things from different nations

Right, all of that stuff on the form that needs dealing with. Schiavonia play with a +2 style modifier, and you can do what you like with regards to our matches. Although, if there's anything major going on, it'd be nice to consult the SFF's storyline department first. Especially with injuries, as I’m lacking substitutes, other than the eggs and pickles. But really, though... Permissions? Where's the fun in those!?!

If the SFF think of anything else worth mentioning, you will be the first to know!
