I choose Brenham, Graudonia, Jakobly as my bid.

Brenham is a Southern city in Jakobly, and it is the most populous, so there is much to do. There is Jitendo Center, a huge sports complex and home of the JAFL Badgers; Brenham State's facilities also serve as great conveniences.

Scorination/Simulation
I will work closely with New Waldensia to scorinate or simulate in some other way all events; possibly using xkoranate 0.3.3, I'd need to learn how it works.

RP Bonus
MMAB will be utilised. The RP Bonus will have a 20% weighting to the MMAB, 30% for the day's roleplay, 30% for the previous three day's roleplay, and 20% for the total, cumulative roleplay. The inclusion of the additional 'previous three days roleplay' is to reward those who submit high quality roleplays but do not necessarily roleplay everyday. Multiple posts submitting during one day will be counted as one larger roleplay for the purposes of RP Bonus. A host bonus of 2% will be applied.

Scorination/Simulation & RP Bonus may be amended by New Waldensia as he sees fit.

SECURITY
Putting Safety First
Image

Due to the modern threat of terrorist attacks by radical Islamist, Communist, or Decreeist groups; we will always keep the security of Olympic athletes and audience goers as our number one priority.

To address this growing thereat we cannot ignore in the modern world, 250 San Carlos Armed Forces ground soldiers will be deployed to the Olympic venues to work alongside the Petersburg and San Carlos City police departments to neutralize any threats to the safety, security, and well being of the citizens of the San Carlos Islands and our guests.

The Country
The Republic of Furby Island is a large and modern Pacific island nation with a population of 283 million people. It sits on a group of tropical islands in the central Pacific Ocean. The islands have a long and rich history, starting when humans first arrived one and a half millennia ago. I was colonized by the Dutch in the mid 1600s, then by the British a century later, until its war of independence in 1805. The people established a republic on enlightenment ideas, and today, the citizens enjoy some of the best freedoms in the world, and a high quality of life. The country is rich culturally. The culture is a mix between cultures of former colonial powers, as well as elements of the cultures of the native population, and other immigrants.

The City
Noorderstein is a large northern Furbish city of one and a half million people, the eighth largest in the country, as well as a commercial and cultural hub in the region. The city was originally founded by Dutch settlers in the turn of the 17th century, where it grew rapidly, first from logging and fishing, then from agriculture. Noorderstein became a major port city, and soon received an influx of immigrants, creating the city's rich and diverse culture. The city today boasts a vast blue ocean on one side, and the vibrant Furbish jungle on the other.

Noorderstein is well connected, with well maintained infrastructure ready to handle an influx of athletes and tourists for the Olympics. The two international airports, Noorderstein International Airport and Admiral Vincent Gelderman Airport, have five and three runways respectively, and serve a combined total of one hundred million passengers annually. The Port of Noorderstein is also large, and capable of harboring nearly all ships. By land, the city is connected by many rail lines and highways. Within the city, an extensive public transportation system can get any person between any two points in the city.

Security
Security will be a top priority during the Games. The FSA(Federal Security Agency) will place all available resources into making sure there is no security threat during the Games. The FSA will be working together with local law enforcement to deal with any threats to the safety and security of all athletes and spectators.

Schedule
Immediately after the end of the bidding process, applications to the Games will be opened. Each event will have a limit on entries, as well as a total limit on entries per delegation.(OOC: Each player is allowed to send only one delegation.) The applications will close in late June, and the opening ceremony will begin upon the closing of the applications. The schedule for the Games will closely resemble the Rio 2016 schedule, subject to minor changes.

Events
The following is a list of events that will be played during the Games. There are currently 96 total events, 48 men's and 48 women's. These events are subject to change between the bid and beginning of application process. These do not include demonstration events, which will be added to the Games as well. All feedback and suggestions to the events list is appreciated, and the Furbish Olympic Committee will take it all into account before the final events list is released.

Noorderstein Olympic Stadium: One built, the Noorderstein Olympic Stadium will be the largest stadium in Noorderstein during the Games. The stadium will have a capacity of eighty thousand spectators. It will be hosting the opening ceremony and some of the football matches early in the Games. Later in the Games, the stadium will host athletics events, and the closing ceremony.

Gelderman's Wharf: Gelderman's Wharf, as its name suggests, is a wharf on the coast of Noorderstein, used by the famed Furbish privateer Vincent Gelderman as a base of operations in his raids against British shipping during the Furbish Revolution. Due to the calm seas in the area, this wharf will be used as the starting line for rowing events, and the starting and finish line for marathon swimming, the triathlon, and marathon events. Five thousand seats will be put up at the wharf, but spectators are allowed to observe events from anywhere nearby as long as no disruptions are caused.

Noorderstein Aquatics Center: The Noorderstein Aquatics Center will be hosting most aquatics events. Inside, the building contains two pools, a fifty meter long swimming pool, and twenty five meter long diving pool. Swimming and water polo events will be hosted in the former pool, while diving events in the latter. The center has a seating capacity of seventeen thousand.

Olympic Archery Field: The Olympic Archery Field will be small field, where archery events will take place. The seating capacity is five thousand.

Olympic Basketball Stadium: The Olympic Basketball Stadium will be the third largest venue in terms of seating, with twenty thousand seats. It will host basketball events.

Olympic Beach Volleyball Stadium: The Olympic Beach Volleyball Stadium will be a temporary stadium constructed for beach volleyball. The location will be on a flat section in a Noorderstein beach. The seating capacity is twelve thousand.

Olympic Indoor Arena: The Olympic Indoor Arena will be a stadium for all gymnastics and indoor volleyball events. The seating capacity will be fifteen thousand.

Olympic Shooting Range: The Olympic Shooting Range will be a shooting range hosting all shooting events, both pistol and rifle. The seating capacity will be five thousand.

Westerlaan Stadium: The Westerlaan Stadium, named after a Noorderstein based car company, is a football stadium and home of the city's football club. The stadium will be hosting football matches from the beginning of the Games. The final matches will all be hosted at the stadium. The seating capacity is seventy thousand, the second largest in the city.

OOC & Scorination Info
To scorinate events, xkoronate 0.3.3 will be used. I have hosted tournaments before, and am experienced with the software. During each event, each athlete will have a skill modifier from 0 to 100, decided by the nation during the application process. There will be a 20% RP bonus, composing of 40% for any posts made for the current day(between posting of scores and cutoff), 40% for posts in the previous three days, and 20% for all posts posted since the beginning of the Games. Posts will be scored based on quality.

Closing Remarks
Noorderstein was one of the many potential cities to host the Games, and deciding on a host city was a difficult decision. The Furbish Olympic Committee wishes to thank all cities which expressed interest, even if they were not chosen. The Committee also wishes to thank all representatives from the Federation of Conservative Nations for taking time to read over the bid and considering it as a choice for the FCN Olympic Games, and ones who vote in favor of Noorderstein.

Host City

San Salvador

San Salvador is capital city and the most populous city of the Holy Traditionalist Empire (HTE) of Creeperopolis. San Salvador, "Holy Savior" in Spanish, is the nation's economic and political center featuring many government buildings, such as the Imperial Palace, and many financial centers, such as the Creeperian Commerce Center (CCC) in the heart of San Salvador. San Salvador has a population of around 2.4 million people. The city is also filled with many historical sights, the Imperial Palace being one of them, constructed from 1459-1478 on orders of King Manuel II.

Just north of San Salvador is Lake San Salvador, the largest lake in Creepeorpolis, where a thriving fishing industry is located. To the south of San Salvador lies the (Second) State of the Church, home to the Pope. The Papal State has a large tourism industry and is home to 12,000 people.

Within San Salvador itself is the largest airport within Creeperopolis: King Alfonso I International Airport [KAX] (the one I'm making on Minecraft in #fcn-gaming). The airport features seven domestic terminals and four international terminals. Creeperian Airlines and its subsidiary, Creeperian Airlines Connect, offers to fly in all athletes from all participating nations to Creeperopolis for the Games of the I FCN Olympiad in brand new Creeperian Airlines Boeing 747-8i's and Boeing 777-300ER's. Expansion will begin in International Terminals A and B to accommodate for the arriving athletes and spectators for the Olympic Games.

Hotels such as the San Salvador Imperial Hotel and the Emperor Adolfo III Grand Hotel have offered to house up to 5,000-10,000 athletes each. The Olympic Village will house the arriving spectators.

I'm working on an Olympics hosting bid right now. I'll be bidding Phoenix and Tucson and will post the full bid once I complete it.

The Fluvannia Olympic Organizing Committee and Union (FOOC-U) would like to submit the following bid for host privileges for the FCN I Olympiad.

Host Nation

Despite being one of the longer-serving members of the Federation, Fluvannia has long espoused a “live and let live” mentality that leads to isolationism, even within a group of allied nations. However, with international tensions on the rise, a more involved policy has recently been implemented, with the FCN I Olympiad the perfect opportunity to show what Fluvannia’s amiable demeanor and enduring spirit can accomplish on the international stage.

Host City

The main hosting duties will be assigned to the largest city in the Federated Principality of Fluvannia: Rochester, the seat of the County of Monroe. Situated on the Lake Ontario shoreline of what was the American state of New York prior to the war, Rochester is the most well-equipped city in the country to handle an event of this magnitude. The city’s long history of athletics at the professional and collegiate levels means that it possesses the necessary facilities for competition and ceremonial functions, and the plethora of higher educational institutions in the area leaves no shortage of accommodation possibilities for athletes. A successful Olympic celebration would serve as a fitting jewel to crown Rochester’s post-war rebirth.

Events

"M/W" indicates identical events that are held separately for men and women. It does not imply mixed competition.
Athletics (30; 15 men's, 15 women's)

Facilities

Athletic events will be split between the campuses of the University of Rochester (UR) and the Royal Institute of Technology (RIT). RIT has a larger capacity, and as such will host Men’s Athletics, with Women’s events at UR. All Swimming and Diving events will be hosted by the Judson Pool at RIT. Gymnastics events will be split between the Field House at RIT and the War Memorial Arena downtown, which will also host the Indoor Volleyball competitions and serve as an inclement-weather venue for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Rowing events will be split between the Erie Canal and Genesee River in Rochester, Lake Monticello in the Duchy of Piedmont, and Lake Winnebago in the national capital city of Oshkosh. Similarly, the Men’s and Women’s Soccer competitions and hurling/camogie exhibitions will each be split between Eastman Field in Rochester (the venue for Opening and Closing Ceremonies), Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, and Fox River Stadium in Oshkosh. Lake Monticello and Rochester’s Charlotte Beach will each host portions of the Men’s and Women’s Beach Volleyball competitions.

Schedule

The Opening Ceremony would be scheduled for July 10, continuing over the following two weeks.

Participation

While delegations are expected from main nations only, client states may enter athletes under the main nation’s aegis as a unified team. Delegations are limited to 500 athletes. If permitted by the FCN Olympic Committee, member nations of regions with which the FCN shares diplomatic relations will be permitted to register, though such guest nations can account for no more than 25% of the participating nations overall.

I'd like to retract my bid...between the upcoming FCN wargames and work, I don't think I'll have enough time at all to dedicate enough time each day to be an effective host.
