1/ As long as the players are all under 21 years old it’s fine if some of them have already turned professional. right?
2/ Will ‘VAR’ or some similar camera-based technology be used to help the referees, and if so then will the latest RL rules on ‘offside’ & ‘handball’ — which seem to rely on that technology for giving the referee reliable information consistently — also be in use rather than the previous versions?

Obviously I cannot give a binding answer to this, but I have had most of my roster play professionally in every DBC I participated in and it was fine. Given that it's also fine in the FIFA U21 WC, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be. Not doing so would also be basically impossible/senseless for us, as Savojarna doesn't have something like a college sports system and youth teams at this stage are also more or less professional.

Nothing has been specified anywhere mandating amateurism in this or any other football tournament, and given the large number of under-21 professional players IRL and the near non-existence of high level university sports in Europe, I see no reason why you can't have professionals in your under-21 team unless Valanora says otherwise

1 - Amuetuerism is not enforced for the DBC, so long as the players in question are aged 21 or younger before the IC start date of the tournament
2 - This is a level of detail I truly do not even think about. One has to assume that VAR/goal line tech is in place, since ICly the Eternal Empire has the tech to have space colonies. As for rules, feel free to RP it however you like.

Now, onto the tournament itself. This illness has taken me longer than I excepted to get over but I am pretty sure I am now over it. That everything thread should be up in the next 24 hours.

Thank you for answering. I've been watching some RL football on television recently (which I wasn't actually doing back when I participated here before), and saw VAR being used in the Women's World Cup, which was why I wondered about that.
I hope that you are indeed now fully over whatever the problem was, for your sake as well as so that the cup can go ahead.
