Right time to vote on a host for the twelfth GCF World Twenty20 Championships. You have the following options:

1. Accept Liventia's bid
2. Re-open bidding
3. Abstain

Only GCF members currently ranked in the Test ranks (full/associate members) who are signed up, or users who have signed up to both the 10th and 11th World T20s may vote. Please send all votes to Old Guard by no later than Sunday 26th May 2019 at 12:00 UTC+1.
The poster behind this is almost certainly Liventia or Apox, the current de facto GCF co-presidents.

By my count that makes 20, which is one of the workable numbers for my bid (assuming it wins). Ideally I would push towards 24 but would be happy to start the RP thread with 20 as of Monday.

Assuming I am elected host, if we end up with 20 or 22 signups, the draw for the two groups will be completely based on world rank/seed, with 1 and 22 in Group A and 2 and 21 in group B, etc. If we get to 24, then a proper group draw will take place for the four groups of six.

Signups updated, including Barunia, but minus 'United Online Army', who has not been online since their post (and first day on the game). That puts us at 20. I'll include United Online Army if they return before I cut off signups or if we need them for a nice number.

I'll leave signups open until Wednesday 29th May evening, at which point the RP thread will go up.

The group draw (if one is needed) will take place on Friday 31 May, with first scorination on Monday 3 June.
The poster behind this is almost certainly Liventia or Apox, the current de facto GCF co-presidents.

I'm not sure if this is possible, so I want to clarify and ask something, if people don't know.

Lisander Cricket Board acts on behalf of two nations. Lisander and Alice Bay, much like England and Wales in Real Life, but with a major difference. Alice Bay is the strongest power between both nations, and currently, there's a Cricket crisis between both nations.

With that in mind, I'd like to ask Liventia: Can I partly roleplay with Alice Bay? The team would keep being Lisanderian, and the RP bonus would count to Lisander, but some posts would be made from Alice Bay account.

Do you guys think a women's T20 championship is a good idea?

It'd be redundant as most sport (with the exception of the Olympics) is gender neutral in the world of NS Sports - when teams can consist of ponies, dinosaurs, fluffy bunnies and Audioslavians and all play together in the same tournaments, gender distinctions look even more arbitrary than in real life! There's also a few teams competing in this very championship - the Plough Islands being one, when I get my squad up - which are mixed.

This, basically. A number of teams in the World T20 are mixed-gender and there would not be any sense to run a women's-only tournament.

A quick procedural note on the rank update, for clarity…

The formula was adjusted slightly again after last cup's wholesale change. This was just a small tweak. The formula takes into account the minimum number of games played each tournament. However, with this cup's longer format, West Phoenicia's win from the last competition was receiving a higher base value than Mattijana's win this cup. Therefore the formula was tweaked to take into account the minimum number of games played across the last three ranking tournaments. In this case, as WT20 X had a lower minimum (4) than WT20 XI, the rank points from last cup were also adjusted.

Additional procedural note: The two group stage matches which were decided by Super Over were recorded as ties for all teams involved when it came to rank calculation.
