Welcome to the third International Ice Hockey Championship!
After a four year hiatus, the Frozen Cup returns to give the top club teams in international hockey a chance to compete in a fun and friendly tournament. Nations new to sports RP may use this tournament to practice their skills and begin winning some hardware, and even the most experienced nations might seize the opportunity to give their premier clubs some time in the limelight. How will your nation's best stack up against the global opposition?
Championship Format
-You may sign-up up to two (2) domestic hockey clubs to the IIHC
-Games will be scorinated with xkoranate using NSFS ruleset
-The tournament structure is as follows, pending the number of sign-ups:
10 teams
-Two groups, double round robin
-Top 2 in each group qualify, regular bracket
12 teams
-Three groups, double round robin
-Top 2 in each group qualify plus two wild cards, regular bracket
16 teams
-Four groups, double round robin
-Top 2 in each group qualify, regular bracket
18 teams
-Three groups, double round robin
-Top 2 in each group qualify plus two wild cards, regular bracket
20 teams
-Four groups, double round robin
-Top 2 in each group qualify, regular bracket
*Additional formats, if needed, will be determined once the final number of signups is known
-Teams earn points using the NHL points scale
--2 points for a win
--1 point for loss in overtime
--0 points for loss in regulation

The Incorporated States of Bongo Johnson is a thriving sports metropolis located in southern Esportiva. In addition to two previous International Ice Hockey Championships, the nation most recently hosted the prestigious international gridiron football championship World Bowl for its XXXII and XXXIII editions. Bongo Johnson's comprehensive network of sports facility infrastructure has made the country one of the region's most popular locations for tournaments of any kind.
