9th World Cup of Quidditch - Signup Thread

Dears Wizards and Witches of the Multiverse,

In the opposite world, we have watched as the muggles attempt to stage their blasphemy of a sport - the one the word as 'football', the lackadaisical sport for muggles to attempt to think they can have the grace and pureness of our sport, the wonderful sport that we know as Quidditch. Its been some time, ah ten years since the last Quidditch World Cup (held roughly around this time last year) and we in Velestria are rife to get on our broom sticks again. As I was saying, it is time for the return of the one and only competition of our sanctified world, ah yes - the QUIDDITCH WORLD CUP! Ah, yes, its been a shame, our world has lacked without a proper tournament for five years now (OOC - its been roughly a year), the games of quidditch must return to the fields once more, it is time for the somewhat decade-annual Quidditch World Cup entering tis 9th edition. As usual all nations are welcomed and singular puppets will also receive entry into our prestigious muggle-free tournament.

As usual, host bidding is opening to any nation which hopes to...well, host, basic information should be included as including limited info on the bidding nation, format and scorination settings and also info concerning your plans for RP rankings. I do plan to compile a ranking taken over from the last Quidditch World Cup before QWC 9 does start to allow for a rankings system to be used moving forward but given I'll need to search through the forums over the past 8 Quidditch World Cups it'll likely take a little time to find information. The deadline for host submission is 5pm on April 7, two weeks from now. A host vote allowing all those who partake in the event to vote, etc.

If three nations bid, the cutoff for host bids will be 24hrs. after the posting of the third bid.

As said last year multiple times you’re allowed to fly whatever weird toy you can get up in the air ride a flying computer if you want t doesn’t matter you’re good though!

At the discretion of the host, since I haven’t submitted a host bid I don’t know but generally bonuses are assigned based on the judges weight of a rp.
