BREAKING! Groups announced for the BoF 69!

EASTFIELD LODGE --

We can confirm that as of 21:30 UTC, the Walensteiner national team has arrived in Eastfield Lodge via their chartered Airbus A350 aircraft in preparation for the group stages of the Baptism of Fire 69. Other than a couple of friendlies played earlier, the tournament will mark the first international matches for the newly founded national football association.

Whilst the nation’s fans, players, and team staff are undoubtedly nervous competing as a team for the time, the team’s performance throughout the tournament should hopefully gauge the level of talent of Walensteiner footballers, with all eyes on strikers Nikolaus Ludwig and Matthias Merten, who fought for last season’s golden boot in the Walensteiner SuperLiga. Ludwig ended up winning the award, with an astounding 23 goals to his name, and Merten came in close at 21.

The team reportedly wasted no time after arriving and getting settled in, with Head Coach Amadeus Klausmann getting his men to practice on the pitch as much as possible before their first game on Thursday.

Walenstein was placed in Group 9, competing against Zuiopien, Alanikka and Najaf, over a total of 6 legs. Mr. Klausmann has held a press conference for Walensteiner media shortly after the announcement broke.

TV Walenstein 1 sports correspondent Hans Stettersberg requested the coach’s thoughts on the opposition in Group 9.

“Well, our opponents are all great teams without a doubt, I am sure all our matches will be fast-paced and interesting. Hopefully we’ll be able to experiment with the squad over the first few legs, seeing what works and what does not. It’s one of the first times these lads have played alongside eachother, and coming off a heated SuperLiga season means they will need to adjust to eachother. I think a finish in the top two spots, therefore moving on past the group stages is a definite possibility for us, however anything can happen. I’m sure we’ll play our best football, and, well, we’ll see how this works out for us” the coach responded.

Another journalist wanted to know if the coach felt pressure to do good at the tournament, given that Walensteiner football fans have a tendency to engage in very destructive riots and looting when their preferred team loses.

“We without a doubt we condemn all acts of football-related hooliganism, however acknowledge that our performance might be a factor in potential public disorder. We fully support local police within Walenstein, and we are sure they will be able to disperse any troublesome individuals during sanctioned public viewing parties in the streets outside of the KreditWalenstein Arena. Any of our travelling fans caught causing issues in the host nations will, alongside whatever local punishments they face, be reported to Walensteiner authorities and be banned for life from further FA matches.” The coach assured.

Join us at 17:30 on Thursday for full coverage of the BoF Group 9 fixture of Walenstein v. Alanikka!

Preview of North Quadana at Baptism of Fire

Last evening, the Baptism of Fire groups were drawn. North Quadana was drawn in Group 3 with Antahbrantahstan, Apl0n and Vartugia. Now that the groups have been drawn, there is only one question that's left: "What to expect from Quadana?"

The manager, Hideyo Tanimoto is expected to run a 4-2-2-2 formation with Oyakawa Senzo and Kwang-Sun Joon up top. This formation provides much firepower for the strong Quadanese offense, with Okura and Konigashi supplying the two strikers with passes and helping with their support. If the Quadanese are lined up in a 4-2-2-2 formation, expect a lot of crossing from the wingers, as Tanimoto is surely to use the tall and strong team captain Senzo as a target man.

It should come without a doubt that the midfield will be left to the Ksenukai Premiership veterans Osada Kazuko and Tanji Shohei. If the Quadanese want to spread the play, expect Kata or Shinsaku to roam down the flanks. Hideyo Tanimoto has also brought a defensive option in Wasabe Miyagaro. If Tanimoto decides to put Miyagaro in the starting line-up, the team will switch to a 4-4-2 Diamond formation.

And last but not least, we arrive at the North Quadanese defensive line. Tanimoto has made sure the defense is always up and running, with 7 defenders on the squad. The typical 4-defender back line will usually be filled by Kano, Suzuki, Sawao and Fujimaro. Sawao has proved himself not only as a great defender, but also as a threat in the winger positions. Expect to see him pushing up high. There is also a slim possibility that Sawao will be moved up to the midfield and Tanimoto will play a 3-5-2 formation with Kano, Suzuki and Minami as the three defenders. For the goalkeepers. Kouji Kitano is expected to take the gloves in the group stage, although Morimoto is a great option with lots of experience from back home.

[Excerpt from the Litudinem Herald]

LOM National Team placed in Group #4 for Baptism of Fire Tournament

Our very own National Football Team has officially been placed in group #4 of the Baptism of Fire. They have been placed in the same group as North Miklik, TigerSharkistan, and Ashaie. They will play all three teams before, hopefully, progressing on to the knockout stage.

The players have been "training hard and are very hyped," says Assistant Coach, Neil Berkley, who arrived at the on-site athlete's quarters with the team. According to him, the team will be running drills and continuing their training up until the day before Match #1. On that day, the team will partake in team building exercises, in hopes of improving team chemistry.

According to Maximusian Head coach, Vincent Alfonsi, "We don't have the best record going into this tournament. As such, we are going to make sure to capitalize on the places were we faltered during the IDUFC. The technical team and I have spent hours pouring over game footage and are pretty sure we have ascertained a winning strategy. Let's pray we are right!"

According to credible sources, the National Team will be utilizing a simple but classic 4-4-2 formation. This means having 2 CB, 1 RB, 1 LB, on defense, 2 CDM, 1 LW, and 1 RW on mid-field, and 2 strikers on attack. Historically, this formation has been used to great effect by many teams across the multiverse.

Baptism of Fire Group E Preview

The Bohr national team faces their first international challenge this week, being drawn into Group E of the Baptism of Fire 69 along with Sajnur, Skarten and Ekamijan. Sajnur immediately jumps out as Bohr's main competition, being the only other roster submitted so far, but the other two shouldn't be taken lightly either. Overconfidence is a killer, as coach Cesare found out during his semi-final match against BBS FC. When asked about that game, Cesare didn't seem too concerned: "You know, I definitely underestimated BBS, I thought they were a fraud team who didn't deserve the hype, and they clearly proved me wrong. Serrins and Williams are two of the greatest players in the country-maybe in the multiverse, although I don't want to jump to those conclusions-and it was incredibly hard for us to stop them when they were playing so well. I'm glad they're with us instead of against us here." The team definitely looks good to me, but it's hard to tell until the games are played. "I don't really want to comment too much on what we're doing. Maybe I'm known for having odd opinions on how the game should be played, but I'm trying to be more traditional, for now. No promises though," said Cesare.

Sajnur:
The only team in the group with recent results available, Sajnur did surprisingly well at the Independents Cup, coming a couple goals short of making it out of groups in their exciting match against Darkmania. Their team is aggressive, using Jessica Siafik's passing ability to open up the flanks for Dario Tule and Ahmed Nazar. Their defense, meanwhile, is slightly less solid, but can still do enough for a clean sheet here and there.

Player to watch: Dario Tule. The right winger has speed in abundance on the counter, and is able to create chances, either with a shot or a cross into the box. Being able to shut him down robs the Sajnurians of much of their explosiveness, and will be the key to holding them back.

Group prediction: 2nd

Skarten and Ekamijan:
Not much is known about these two sides. Skarten is the more well-known country in other endeavors, but don't have much sports experience, while Ekamijan is very new. Until we know their rosters and playstyles, it's difficult to review them.

Group prediction: Skarten 3rd, Ekamijan 4th.

Bohr:
Call me a homer, but I think that this Bohrian squad, no matter how new they are to international soccer, has the strength to compete. The team is fairly well-rounded, with talent at every position, and coach Luis Cesare has shown an ability to make something out of nothing, first with Mitchell University and now with Girard. No matter how they do, I'll be proud of them, but I definitely do believe-and hope-that they can pick up a few victories at this tournament.

Player to watch: A.J. Mahogany, and specifically how he meshes with the Serrins-Williams duo that already has their built-in synergy. Serrins and Williams were effectively a self-sufficient chance-creating engine on BBS FC, and during the regular season, although they ran up the score on the bottom of the league, they could falter against the OSO Automotive FCs and the Girards of the world. Now with Mahogany supporting them, both of them will need to alter their playstyle to account for that. Mahogany himself is also under pressure, perhaps amplified by his age-at 23, he's already being talked about as the "Next Big Thing", and reports on his reaction to the loss to OSO in the BSC semifinals were somewhat worrying. Regardless, he's the best midfielder in Bohr, and if he does well, he can expand that to being one of the best in the multiverse.

Group prediction: 1st

Time to Shine: Part 1

The North Quadanese bus stopped at the players entrance. "Okay guys. We're here." said Tanimoto. The player got up from their seats, picked up their bags and got out of the bus. Just as team captain Senzo got out of the bus, a swarm of journalists surrounded him and Naoyuki Kano, who was right behind him. "Mr.Senzo! Mr.Senzo!" the journalists shouted, trying to get his attention. Senzo stopped and said "I don't have much time, so let's make this quick, shall we?" A man with dark hair and glasses got through the crowd to the front. "Kaiji Nihoma, Quadana24. How do you rate your chances of success at this tournament?" the man asked. "I am confident in this team's ability. We have assembled the best and brightest of North Quadana, so it would be surprising if we didn't perform at this tournament." Senzo answered and went through the entrance.

The lockerroom was spacious. One of the first things Senzo noticed was the 20 litre water jug in the right corner of the room. As he sat down beside his locker, he noticed a giant 70 inch flat-screen TV. "Must be for tactical analysis." he thought to himself. He put his bag down, took of his shirt and went to the physio deck. Senzo didn't usually got to the physio, because he thought it was a waste of time, but in a major tournament like this, he took the opportunity. As he got back to the locker room, Kawabata, who was Senzo's teammate on Kanjin Pirates, said to him "Do I really just saw what I saw? Oyakawa Senzo going to the physio deck?" Senzo chuckled and sat back down at his seat. He put on his wireless headphones and put on his pre-game playlist. "This is our time to shine" Oyakawa said quietly.

IC information about Eastfield Lodge, including stadia, has been added (see post #3 in the thread).

Reminder that the opening cutoff of the Baptism of Fire will be between 10-13 hours time, and also that there is no RP prompt for the MD1 cutoff.

(Please keep any OOC inquiries about the tournament/host nations to TG or the WCDT. This is just an announcement post.)

Boani defender Eniola Enitan posts his regular report for Boani media:

"Our team have all been made to feel extremely welcome here in Eastfield Lodge. We were naturally apprehensive, and not only because we were travelling to a strange religious monarchy - Void Ships are surely the strangest means of transport any of us have ever experienced. The team doctor ensures us that the nausea will pass soon, however, with no lasting effects. We are a little concerned about being fully recovered for the first match, but are doing everything that we can.

Now an Islamic monarchy does sound disturbingly reactionary, but once we arrived it was quickly evident that it is an equal and orderly place free from capitalism and its associated evils. I know some of the visitors from other nations are complaining that about the ban on alcohol, tobacco, drugs and unhealthy food but to me it seems very nostalgic - it takes me back to when I was a kid before the reforms. And plant-based food has been freely provided so that has absolutely not been an issue. The city is clean, the air fresh, the people modest, polite and respectful and the numerous law enforcement officials kind and helpful. We could not ask for more in the way of hospitality.

We train hard every day and we are all looking forward to our first game. We know little about our opponents Baranil, but we understand that the whole nation may be some kind of penal colony operated by a capitalist nation that practices actual child labour and slavery. If this is truly the case then we will be more fired up than ever - they sound exactly the kind of hell hole we came here to give a lesson to. Their formation on the field looks aggressive, which should perhaps come as no surprise - but expect it to come to a crashing halt when it meets our unyielding defensive wall of red, gold and green!"

Round 1 is about to start
by Klavus Titus

Its only a few hours before Bysantian Team is going to play its first match in the tournament and I can feel excitement fill the air. There are quite a few fans from our great nation today that made their way to the stadium. Our opponent today - Soviet Micronesia - is a dark hourse of the group. Very limited information is available on the team, so preparations would not be easy. I had a chance to talk to Alexander Krammer today. Here is what he had to say:

- We are ready, we are motivated, we will show our best football today. It has been a long journey up to now, still a long journey ahead.

- Very well said! Now lets get to our honored guest in the studio - Maximus Pirus - the Imperial Minister of Sport and Entertainment. Good to have you here today!
- Hello Klavus and fellow Bysantian citizens!
- We have recently raise the topic of football funding in Bysantia, specifically how radically the funding for sport changed recently. Why do you think that happened?
- It is all done by the Emperor's will, of course! We historically had the best athletes and the time has come to show that to the world. It takes a bit of funding to shape this talent to a specific sport.
- True. What do you think our chances in this tournament are?
- I think the teams here are all amateurs with no real international experience. They should not be a problem to our glorious team.
- But we are also a debutante to such events.
- Yes, but unlike other teams, we have our Emperor in our hearts. How can we dare to lose in such a circumstance!
-Oh, we have just received a conformation that Emperor himself is going to watch the game from his palace. Our lads really can't fail now. Stay tuned. Hail Imperator!

The Following Rps take place piror to the BoF and follow as Alluersia tries to find players for it's team and copes with the ever elusive idea that they might some day no longer be part of New West Guiana

Setting Je'Kara National Bank Conference Room

"So Mr. Allerson, what can we do for you today, your business record with in Alluersia and West Guiana precede you, however I question as to why you come here on this morning."

"Thank you for taking the time to see me Mr. Dalve. Indeed as you say, I have no other reason to come to the bank asking for money as I have plenty of my own, what I am doing here is for the propose of asking for your help in starting a national football team for Alluersia. It has been too long amount of time on us waiting for the West Guiana Soccer Association to enter world cup qualification and we have many young men and boys who dream of playing on the international stage. We need to create our own identity beyond what those in Gemsbrook want us to have."

Mr. Dalve folded his arms and leaned back in the leather office chair, "So, you want from us, or specifically from me what?"

"I want your support and backing to help make the Alluersian Football Federation a reality. For far to long have the people of the region talked of it, it's past time to make it real."

"I agree with your assessments, our players have big dreams and yet they are held back by the brutes in Gembsrook, but at the same time what you are asking would prompt quick and severe backlash from everyone including De'cader. I'm sure you know what happened to me after the seventy-second qualifying around, after I created that short lived Southern Legalese team."

Nodding his head and cuping his hand together, "I do."

"Good." Mr. Dalve thinking back to after the events of the 72nd World Cup qualifying round when on his arrival to the Gembrook airport, he was arrested for Conspiracy Against the Sate and given a ten year prison sentence. "The system is rigged against us, we are not afforded the same privileges that ethnic Guianans' are, we are far too often beaten down and forced to submit to what ever they want. I'm now eighty-one and haven't many years left and I say I don't give a damn anymore, i'm tird of being beaten down, it's time for us to rise up and forge our own path."

Mr. Allerson smiling as he gets up to shake Mr. Dalves hand, "Quoting the late President Haggord. I'm very happy to have you on board, I talked to your son first and he told me you'd been yearning to breath free again."

Mr. Dalve shaking his head, "Damn kid, but what's your next move? Announcing the AFF or finding a team first?"

"I already have posted some tryouts in Hanover and here in Je'Kara, i'm half way there, but i need some top players and they will be hard to budge from their NPSL contracts."

"So how much do you need to make them budge?"

Squeezing his hands in anticipation of the response, "Ninty million."

Mr. Dalve retracts his hand and sits back down, "No, no, i'm sorry but in order for me to sign on you'll have to lower that number. I, like you am in business and though you have been successful, you have a record of not paying back you debts and instead of paying up, declaring bankruptcy. The only way that the bank would lend the money if you aren't the one holding the check-book." Closing his folder and getting ready to leave, "Once you have decided that then we can talk, i'm not about to put this company's reputation and credit score on the line."

"Deal, if you wish to be the head excutive.."

"Not me, my son, who was at one time a damn good footballer himself, he knows real talent and will set your sights higher than you may think possible. 'll get the paper work drawn up before you leave, Good day Mr. Allerson."

[Excerpt from the Portland Sun]

Zero Hour fast approaches the Maximusian National Team

The Maximusian National Team is counting the hours until their first match begins. Reportedly, "Now that the jet lag has worn off, the hype is really starting to set in." The team will face Tiger Sharkistan later tonight.

"We had better beat them" says Maximusian Team Captain Luke Brookshire, "We have trained way too hard to come up short. I don't know much about Sharkistan but I have a bad feeling that they will not be an easy opponent. Especially not with their 5-3-2 formation. It will be exceedingly difficult to get a ball past that defense. I have faith in the BOYS though! I just know that we can do it. Wish us luck!"

It has been reported that the team is taking today off from practicing in order to avoid overworking their muscles before the actual game starts. Instead, they went to an escape room to hone their ingenuity and metal dexterity skills and to learn to work more effectively as a team. It is unknot whether or not the team actually completed the escape room but sources seem to lean toward "YES." Maximuian CB, Caleb Darkas tweeted
About to enter todays training session: an escape room. coach says that we are going in without any hardware, just our whits and teamwork. It should be great fun. I have full faith that we can nail this thing with flying colors! #RunLOM #GoWolves

We can only hope for the best, pray for our boys, and cheer with all of our hearts! Go LOM.

An Very Rushed And Very Short Overview Of The Events Up Until Now

As we all know, it was not long ago when Skarten announced it would apply to join the Baptism Of Fire. These news brought great joy to the already big number of football fans in the Eastern European nation, who had surprisingly never been in such event despite the popularity of the sport in the country. It was no surprise, either, that this caused a great commotion, as streets of the Crowned Republic were flooded with flags from both the nation and national teams, decoration fitting for the situation and many, many new items being sold, most notably jerseys and uniforms of the national team, and other items such as vuvuzelas, horns and much more.

When the national team arrived at the nation who was hosting the cup this year, Ethane, they were greeted at the airport by hordes of fans, who shouted and commemorated, yelling out many phrases such as "Gigant przybył!" (The Giant Has Arrived), or "Skarten jest tutaj!" (Skarten Is Here), between many others. When asked about the situation,Zachariasz Zrieszko, the Popular Striker of the team answered that he was very honored to have been chosen for the position and animated for the cup, stating he and his team would do their best as to not let down these people who trusted them.

As the groups were drawn, it was finally obvious for the team with what and who they would be dealing with, the exception being the nation of Ekamijan, whose roster had yet to be revealed to the public. But in relation to the other two, Bohr & Sajnur, discussion was intense. Without doubt, it would be a hard start for the relatively new team, who had yet to see official international matches in the world cup. According to the Schedule, the first they would meet in field were the Bohr. This match would be clearly a though one, but in the end, the team was hopeful for a victory, something which most fans did not doubt would arrive.

The Time Is Approaching...

These events had happened days, even weeks or months ago, depending on which one you were talking about. It was now finally the day where the first match would begin, and expectations were high. Soccer fans from all nationalities and backgrounds began to flood to the stadium where the game would be hosted, with an notably big portion of Skartenians occupying an great majority of seats. This was the first world cup they had ever been on, and thus it was not an surprise that the patriotic Skartenian people would be there in huge numbers.

In that day, they would be going against the team of the Bohr, if the schedule was correct. From the reports, it was an overall balanced team, with an 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 formation, which an style that was similar to theirs, being mostly balanced while leaning to an more defensive side. It would surely be an tough opponent, but the Skartenian Team believed in their abilities and strategies, such as it's 4-3-2-1 formation which was sure to have an upper hand over the more commonly used 4-2-2.

There would hardly be a home in the entirety of the large nation, with those who couldn't be at their homes watching it instead at their workplace or somewhere else with a television, such as, for example, bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. It was an important event, and even many who usually did not like watching football would tune in to not be left out and accompany this historical event in the Skartenian history of sports. Whatever way this game ends, it will, without any form of doubt, impact heavily the future of Skarten in the World Cup

THE KERAJAAN OF ERAMAN
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM

BASIC INFORMATION
Nation: The Kerajaan of Eraman
Demonym: Eramanian
Team Color: Prussian Blue
Style Modifier: -2.5
Formation: 4-3-3
Head Coach: Sembara Bunian

GK: Dundang Bayan, 29 y/o, Royal Arupura
The Royal Arupura goalkeeper only conceded 19 goals in 22 games in Liga Eraman this season, the second least goal conceded in the league. With his side only scoring 16 goals, the least goals scored outside of the bottom three, Dundang Bayan is key to his team's fifth finish place in Liga Eraman this season.

DR: Lipas Kudung, 23 y/o, Royal Puncakpura
Not much is known about Royal Puncakpura before the start of Liga Eraman but after the first season was concluded, four of its players are now in the national team. Lipas Kudung is one of the pleasant surprise for Eraman. The right back is a modern full back who loves to gets up and down the pitch for 90 minutes. His speed and ability to cross the ball is his main assets.

DL: Cicak Kudung, 23 y/o, Royal Puncakpura
The second player from Royal Puncakpura to get the national call-up is Lipas Kudung's twin brother. The abilities of Lipas Kudung and Cicak Kudung is as identical as their face. The only downpoint of it is they are both right-footed. Cicak Kudung always supported attacks down the left flank but frequently had to cut in onto his favoured right foot to hoist crosses into the box.

DC: Badang Gangsa, 28 y/o, Anara (C)
Badang Gangsa has been appointed as the first national team captain. The Anara captain has shown his leadership qualities after leading his side to a second place finish in the domestic league with an all-local side. The center back was nicknamed Gorilla for his strength and aerial prowess.

DC: Dino Sapar, 32 y/o, Royal Daulapura
Dino Sapar formed a towering center back pairing with Khantari's Edgardo Shiplett for Royal Daulapura to create a mean defense. The champion of Eraman only conceded 13 goals in 22 matches, the least in the league. The veteran center back is the oldest player in the national team and is also the tallest player playing for Eraman at 190cm.

DMC: Putra Daulapura Suara Petala, 26 y/o, Royal Daulapura
The national team will be led in the midfield by the prince of Eraman himself. The third son of Maharaja Nila Petala came into the competition on a high after lifting the domestic league title with his side, Royal Daulapura. Despite not being particularly skillful from a technical standpoint, the prince is physically strong and aggressive with an extremely high work rate.

MC: Rimau Belang, 26 y/o, Royal Puncakpura
Rimau Belang is another domestic club team captain going into the competition on a high. He led Royal Puncakpura to domestic cup trophy after shocking the domestic league champion in the final. Rimau Belang is deployed as defending midfielder for his club but is expected to play in a more advanced role for the national team.

MC: Mano Bosa, 28 y/o, Anara
Mano Bosa will be the main creative outlet for Eraman. The attack-minded center midfield has the most impressive passing range and passing accurary in Liga Eraman this season and is very deadly in dead-ball situation. He is expected to be responsible for corner kicks, free kicks as well as penalty kicks.

AMR: Kilat Saputra, 24 y/o, Anara
Kilat Saputra formed a deadly front three for Anara in the league alongside his twin brother Kudrat Saputra who will be on the bench for Eraman and striker Buisan Buayan. His main ability is his pace. His speed will keep his opponents afraid as he is able to beat defenders in a footrace.

AML: Biduk Serangga, 27 y/o, Royal Daulapura
Biduk Serangga is a quick and hard-working player with an eye for goal. The Royal Daulapura left winger is predominantly known for his ability to use both his pace and flair on the ball in order to beat opponents, and create scoring opportunities for himself or his teammates. Together with right winger Awan Heli who will sit on the bench for Eraman and Khantari young striker Robb Honeyworth, they steamrolled the league with 66 goals in 22 games for Royal Daulapura.

ST: Buisan Buayan, 28 y/o, Anara->Damaisari
Buisan Buayan will be the focal point of Eraman's attack. He has shown a surprising amount of upper-body strength in the league which allowed him to shove defenders aside, creating room for him to show his skills and make things happen. He also have the ability to get into great position with his movement.

INTRODUCTION

Since a ball was kicked in the east of the Krama Mountains a few decades ago, football has spread throughout Eraman like a disease and became the favorite pastime of every Eramanian regardless of status. From the palace grounds to the paddy fields, there will be children who are playing football.

Due to its remarkable isolation with the outside world through geographical location with the Krama Mountains in the west and the Southeast Malay Strait in the east, football only began to be known several decades ago through contact with neighboring Tanah Melayu nations. Football is said to be first brought into Eraman through Damaisari, a secluded town in the Krama Mountains adjacent to the country of Urawan.

Football is becoming increasingly frenzied as television featuring world-class football action was introduced in Eraman. Big names like Stefano di Bradini are not foreign names in Eraman. Children grow up with their favourite foreign football players as idol. World Cup actions are always on the lookout for Eraman residents.

However, football has never been professionally played in Eraman until a few years ago. The realization to put a structure in place for domestic football started after the 1st Malay World Cup. Eraman did not participate in the tournament for failing to complete a national team but was determined to join the next tournament.

Thus, Liga Eraman was born, a league to nurture the talent of young Eramanian with a determination to bring home the World Cup to Tanah Melayu someday. The existence of a domestic league enabled Eraman to form a national team to be sent to the 2nd edition of the Malay World Cup which took place at Khantari.

Eraman made their first appearance on the international stage against Wuriya, a country from Central Malaya with a defeat of 2-0 and then again defeated by Zeniyadh, a country from East Malaya which eventually became the champion of the tournament. The two consecutive defeats did not weaken the spirit of Eraman national team players as they won the next 3 games against Sandhora, Tahkalen and Samudera Darussalam.

However, the three consecutive triumphs failed to help Eraman break through from the group stage after only finishing 3rd out of 6 teams. Eraman national team returned home from Khantari with disappointment for failing to at least pass the group stage.

The second season of Liga Eraman started shortly after the conclusion of the Malay World Cup. Each player works hard to impress the national team coach, Sembara Bunian to be selected to the Baptism of Fire squad and the next World Cup qualifiers, a very prestigious tournament for Eramanian.

The domestic tournament was dominated by clubs from the two capital cities, Royal Daulapura representing the royal capital and Anara representing the administrative capital city. This feud is not just a dispute between two capital cities but also a feud between royalties and commoners. Royal Daulapaura is captained by the prince of Eraman himself, Putra Daulapura Suara Petara while Anara is led by the son of a farmer, Badang Gangsa.

Due to its strong financial position, Royal Daulapura was the only team with foreign players in the first season and won the league easily. In the second season, every teams in Liga Eraman started to recruit foreign players and the result, Anara managed to seize the championship. The domination of these two teams began to break Eraman significantly into two groups, royalties and commoners. In a country with 7 kings, this feud is very disturbing.

CHAPTER 1 - PUTRA DAULAPURA SUARA PETARA

The most feared things to happen for football fans in Eraman has became a reality. Signs of feud between 2 group of players began to show with a group representing players playing for the royal teams and a group representing the commoners.

Anara captain, Badang Gangsa is once again appointed to lead the national team of Eraman with Putra Daulapura Suara Petara, captain of Royal Daulapura as his deputy. They were both placed in the same room by the head coach, Sembara Bunian.

Badang Gangsa made it clear straight away that he does not agree with this decision. "Not with the spoiled child," he said shortly after being notified of the decision by the head coach. Putra Daulapura Suara Petara doesn't seem to bother, keeping his head down as always, perhaps because he is used to receiving unfavourable command while living in the castle.

Sembara Bunian is aware of the problems that he is facing, but insisted on the decision. In fact, he put every players from the two feuding groups in the same room.

Putra Daulapura Suara Petara does not talk much in the room. He has always been a quiet man. It is a different story for Badang Gangsa, he is incapable of stopping with the banter. Every 5 minutes, he would not miss the opportunity to satirize the prince but Putra Daulapura Suara Petara is still without a response.

Putra Daulapura Suara Petara is the second youngest child of Maharaja Nila Petara through his second wife. Her childhood was spent playing football in the palace grounds along with childrens of commoners working in the palace. He was not raised to be a king and he is fully aware of it. Football is the only chance for him to showcase his leadership.

Introduction: Maximusian National Team
This article is the exclusive sole property of The Maximusian Government. Any and all illegal reproduction or distribution of it may result in a serious fine or jail time in accordance with Subsection 13a of the LOM Patent Bill (1832)

While the basic rosters and kit equipment of the Maximusian National Team are general knowledge to most of the Multiverse, many people aren't aware of the background of the Team, how and why it came about, and who the rookies and veterans are. That changes now.

Origins
The Maximusian Major League Football Association was established in 1962. At the time of its founding it had only 8 teams. Over the past 50 years, the league has grown and evolved. It now has some of the worlds greatest players, including but not limited to Luke Brookshire and Johan Vanderbilt, along with 32 full teams. With that said, it wasn't until 2018 that the MLFA sent its players to an international competition.

The IDUFC
In the Fall of 2018, The Nation of Laeral, a region-mate of Libertas Omnium Maximus, announced that it would be hosting a football tournament for the entire International Democratic Union region (The IDUFC). The MLFA jumped at that chance to send their eager young men to the international stage.

Although the first match ended in the deploying of tear gas, a huge brawl, and a devastating loss to Gonhog, the newly founded Maximusian National Team scored fairly well in the Group stages. The team, led by the young striker, Luke Brookshire, decimated Trive 38 and narrowly tied with New Lusitania and the Algarves. Hopes were high that the fledgling team would go all the way (albeit, statistics were not) to the finals, alas, in the Quarter Final round against Verwood, The National Team met its match. The loss was a narrow one, but a loss none the less. The Maximusian National Team was not destined to win the IDUFC.

The National Team kept its head up high. After all, this was its very first foray into the International Stage. The whole team was far more filled with a sense of fulfillment for making it as far as they did than a disappointment for loosing. They knew that the time for LOM to bring home the Gold was at hand.

The Baptism of Fire
As soon as the managing staff of the Maximusian National Team realized that they were eligible to enter the World rebound tournament, they submitted an application. Brookshire was to lead the team, with Vanderbilt on goal. This was just as it had been in the IDUFC. The coaches however, are confident that this time things will be different.

"We have trained harder, smarter, and more. We have exams every piece of game footage available and are READY!" says Maximusian Head Coach, Vincent Alfonsi.

Indeed, tonight is the night. Tonight we will see if all of the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears of the National Team, 50 years in the making have what it takes.

The stadium is set. The players are ready. The coaches, the trainers, the physicians are ready. Are you?

Football has been played on Geektopian soil since 1969. But it wasn't such a favorite for the Geeks as it is now. Also in the 60s Geektopia was in the midst of an enormous industrial boom.

Tides of immigrants were coming to the shores of Geektopia and they brought football with them, of course. In February of 1969 the country's first pro soccer competition, the Geektopian Soccer Regiment (GSR) was formed, its teams coming from industrial cities like Mojave, Dupertri, and Absolute Infinity. Over the next decade, soccer thrived in Geektopia, with the GSR buying over athletes from all over the country. Geektopia soon recognized the GSR league as their national team in 1978.

There was only one thing left to do, and that was go to a worldwide competition. The people of Geektopia wanted it to happen the next year, and the next year, and the next year, and so on. But the GSR never toured. Until, on it's 50th year founded, the president, Fjöll Big Boowa, signed the GSR for BoF69 in 2019! The league is excited more than ever to show their flag!
